Fun arcade game! You captured the beach atmosphere really well, and the risk-reward of attracting a bunch of buisness but risking a cascade of angry customers with no escape route is really fun, and also leads to some pretty funny gameplay moments.
I really liked how the truck moved- felt 'sandy' but also very responsive- along with all the nice visual effects like the tire marks and the sand that gets kicked up. Also, the big variety of beachgoers made the whole thing feel more alive, too. Great entry!
This game is so cute! And you can also drive off into the void. Would I run over kids at the beach again? Yes

Theme and mood nailed as always! At first I got confident with the music turned on the entire time but then I got bullied (still 82, not bad I think) xD Congrats!
Hot dang, I enjoyed this. The wave at the bottom look so good! This took some getting used to, but once I figured out how to avoid the children beating me up, I started to do pretty well. Every pico-8 game I play is a masterpiece, and this is no exception. Bravo!

This is a an extremely polished game. You could convince me you spent 5 times as long on this. I would however like some sort of upgrade system. Like getting upgrades to the van with the money. Great game best one ive played so far!

This is an incredibly charming game with people who feel like real people. I love the lo-fi aesthetic and cute graphics. And the devs did some really neat stuff with the waves!

What an excellent game! It took me a round of complete failure to get a handle on the controls, but my next attempt was much better. The art in super charming and all the little touches are really impressive: the water, the tire tracks, the jaunty little bounce of the car, the controls, minimal but perfectly suited music and sound effects, really great stuff.
I appreciated how you can kind of control the difficulty by deciding how many kids to lure towards your truck.. at least at first! Things can spiral out of control fairly quickly after accidentally messing up an ice cream or bumping into a kid on accident.
This is the kind of Pico-8 game that pushes me to make my own better!
Another charming and straightforward Pico-8 game! Gameplay wise it's simple and accomplishes exactly what it intends to. The water effect is really awesome too.
pico gang! very nice and fun game. took me few minutes to understand the basic mechanics but after it plays so well. great job!

I'm checking every pico game entry for this jam and so far this is by far my fav, although there are plenty others which are great. I genuenly had fun! I understood the mechanics for the second run and from there it was pure profitmaking from those little kids, muhahaha! Ah and the particle effects are on spot!
Incredible game ! It's smart, fun, easy to play and the graphics are great. Also creating a Pico-8 game in a gamejam is always impressive, good job :slight_smile:

The game looks and sounds amazing. I was a little confused at first about the position that kids had to be in for me to serve ice cream, but I got it. Managed a score of 23 dollars as well. Don't really have an complaints with the game either. Great job on this.
Cool and quite unique game! I like stilistick and realistic customer behaviour. =)

Fun game, very polished!
Those kids be mad! Nice set of mechanics and it looks great. My only gripe is sometimes part of the ice cream serving UI would be offscreen. Solid entry.

YESS!!! This is was FUN, FUNNY, CHALLENGING, ADORABLE, all the things I was hoping for and MORE. I made $168 and exploded in flames. Will definitely play again. Congrats!!
Wow, I'm being bullied because I missed some kid's order. So I'm trying to get away and .. ho no! I ran over a child! My god it's a massacre on the beach! Nice pico8 entry! A simple but enjoyabl game. Would be fun to have even more complex ice cream to craft within a time limit! Good job overall!

I didn't even deliver ice cream. I had a ton of fun just running over customers and trying not to get shot! xD Amazing Pico-8 game!!
This is a hilarious game. I definitely did not expect to be able to run over people with my car! :laughing:
But this is a really nice game: - You want to attract more people to get more profit but you do not want to attract *too many* of them because then they will get angry in the queue. - This is a really fun experience where you have to find the right balance between profit and happiness. I really like it.

Absolute charmer. Perfect music for the game. It's insane how nice the van's trails looked on the sand, can't even imagine the work it must have taken to make it look that smooth. Excellent work.
p.s. children really are monsters.

Nice game, I liked the graphics, especially for the van.
HAHAHAHA! I think this is the first entry which made me laugh! No not because I bumped a kid toward the sea, but because all kids destroyed my van if I failed. Ah kids, hard to satisfy!

This is so good! I thought I had played all the Pico-8 games but I missed this one. Such a simple concept but executed in expert fashion. I'm inspired to improve my Pico-8 skills!

Fun and cute. I can't see the point of turning off the music ? Maybe kids should not order until it's turned off. Also the game difficulty doesn't seems to progress or it does very slowly. I guess the real difficulty is to struggling against my bad instincts :D
Really Cute and fun concept, maybe could have used a slightly harder difficulty ramp to keep interest, but overall pretty great, :heart: pico-8

I made $251 by parking in the middle with the music left on, and then ignoring the angry mob until it was time to stop thinking about ice-cream and righteously go down in a blaze glory. Cute game, and I love the absurdity of it.
