LD54 — Limited Space (15)

CARGOMBULATOR by ecmjohnson 2023-10-08T18:05:32Z ♥ 2

Very atmospheric, I was cheering for my little cargombulator to hurry along and get that one more piece of cargo into the square before the time ran out. Cool game, congratulations on the entry!

The Final Years of Atlantis by kleinzach 2023-10-08T17:56:31Z ♥ 1

What a fun, meditative game! It's aesthetic 3D historical tetris and I'm here for it. The water looked so much better than it had any right to. Great entry!

Stretchmancer by Choo 2023-10-05T23:16:28Z ♥ 1

Holy shit what a game mechanic! Flawless execution, and you even got VA lines in there. I really didn't want to get in that ship and I wanted like 20 more floors in the prison to make my way through. Fantastic entry!

2 Dudes against the Liquidator by Kitira 2023-10-05T21:45:27Z ♥ 2

It's that scene from Friends turned into a game, love it. With polish it can definitely be a Moving Out/Overcooked style game, great entry!

Room Life by Hinamarina 2023-10-05T21:38:22Z ♥ 1

Beautiful art, congratulations on your first entry, great work!

Contact Range by QueenOfSquiggles 2023-10-05T21:19:09Z ♥ 1

Such an interesting art style! The cramped spaces were very claustrophobic, limited space for sure. Amazing entry!

Astromino by namnam 2023-10-05T15:29:56Z ♥ 0

Fantastic concept, super fun. I definitely lost myself playing it, that's how you know a gameplay loop is engaging. I sometimes had the dominoes snap to different tiles than I was dropping them in, but it was just a minor annoyance. Great entry!

Game Where You Kick Enemies Off A Platform by hopem 2023-10-05T15:08:31Z ♥ 1

This game becomes fun because of its simplicity, I can totally imagine whiling away my commute with a good playlist and passing the time with this game. Congrats on the submission!

BEAT 'N' DEAD by Proz 2023-10-05T15:02:29Z ♥ 2

The physics of the zombies being blown back was hilarious. Cool game, great entry!

Pong Begrenzt by EqualEnergy 2023-10-05T14:58:16Z ♥ 2

Controlling both paddles was a fun twist! Planning out the angles and having to get ready as the walls cave in was very stressful, lol, great work, very cool entry.

Conveyor Chaos by wheelsx 2023-10-05T14:53:51Z ♥ 2

What a great twist on the shmup formula: you don't control the movement or the shooting, but the space around you. My game design brain is swimming with ideas for enemy types and gameplay modifiers, great work! I would have loved to see an HP indicator or something for the enemies that take multiple hits, and the I was not ready for that laser's sound, it's still ringing in my ears, haha. But what a fun time, awesome entry!

Shattered Spirits by Tobius 2023-10-05T13:56:53Z ♥ 1

What a gorgeous game! Fantastic art, great work, great entry!

Single Circle by kanity 2023-10-03T21:38:13Z ♥ 1

Adorable writing, gorgeous art. One thing that left me confused was I could choose whether to take snacks, scissors or sloth, but regardless of my choice, all three came into play anyway. But that's just me being nitpicky. Such a meditative game to play, great work!

Slime Infestation by Lexyvil 2023-10-03T21:22:09Z ♥ 1

Very cool, had a frantic FTL: Faster Than Light energy to it. Music would've made the experience even better, but yeah, totally understand that only so much can be done in such a short time.

Compact Looter by Qaolin 2023-10-03T21:09:18Z ♥ 1

Holy shit, this game looks incredible! The physics shenanigans of loading your cart were hilarious. Not only limited space, but also limited time, v nicely done. The little snores as the time was running out, just *chef's kiss*

LD53 — Delivery (19)

Debbie's Diner Derby by Oroshibu 2023-05-14T12:25:18Z ♥ 0

Overcooked-lite on roller skates. Absolutely no way it could have gone wrong. So much mayhem and haphazard braking. Top-notch polish for a game made in 72 hours. UI, art, music, sound, all of it was dripping with personality; great work!

Rail Blazer by alanxoc3 2023-05-14T12:15:50Z ♥ 1

Fantastic game. Such a simple management mechanic but has so much depth! One of the best games I've played in this jam. The more I played, the more I wished it were easier to know where I can go pick a new type of good, but the current way it works forces you to plan for exploration with the limited money you have and asks you to balance delivery and discovery. Amazing work, excellent entry!

edit: because how could I have forgotten the music! such a calming, charming soundtrack.

Deliver Us Evil by k8n 2023-05-14T12:02:03Z ♥ 1

Solid cipher-breaking fun! Clues are well laid out and each level ups the challenge organically. Nice entry, awesome work.

KissKiss Delivery by Jammin 2023-05-14T11:16:09Z ♥ 3

I had the same issue as everyone else, where any NPC was counted as the right recipient of the kisses, haha! But a very cute game with fun music. And the handling of the car felt pretty satisfying to get better at. Nice work, great entry!

Parcel Blaster 2099 by graebor 2023-05-06T12:30:37Z ♥ 0

Top-notch game, could honestly just be released on mobile as is, that's how polished it felt. One thing I found interesting was that while there is an incentive to boost, there's no incentive to not brake.

Being the coward I am (and I know I'm not alone), there was nothing stopping me from braking the entire run and getting a 1x score on my deliveries and just playing longer. If, for example fuel drained faster when braking too, that would make brake less. Just thought that was worth noting.

Fantastic work, solid entry!

p.s. the colours were so intentional and so, so helpful, so much visual clarity in helpers & objectives vs. obstacles & fail points.

Chain Mail by AdamCYounis 2023-05-06T12:05:52Z ♥ 1

Absolute gem, impeccable game. Can't believe you were able to make this in just 72 hours! I saved the kingdom with 3 days left, but man I could play this game for dozens of hours. Want this to become a full-scale game so badly. Excellent work, amazing entry!

Slow News Day by JosephGallear 2023-05-06T11:26:30Z ♥ 1

Some really fun narrative systems in there, intended and unintended hilarity are always fantastic in these types of games, great work, fantastic entry!

MagiCat by Flokami 2023-05-06T10:52:21Z ♥ 1

What a charming art style! The gameplay can be a little too complicated right out of the gate, but that's something that can easily be solved later by adding in tutorial levels so there's no confusion about the mechanics. Finally filling the magic bar felt awesome though. Amazing work, great entry!

Storky McStorkface Express by Flying Dog Fish 2023-05-06T10:31:27Z ♥ 1

Very fun twist on the Flappy Bird formula! The turning, the pick ups and the deliveries gave the gameplay a lot more depth. Fun, challenging level design; great work, great entry.

Magical Domain by kanity 2023-05-05T22:09:36Z ♥ 1

Adorable art style! Very reminiscent of the handheld RPG era! Great work, awesome entry!

Bundle Beeline by Squidly 2023-05-05T21:45:19Z ♥ 0

What a charming little platformer! The controls felt a little stiff sometimes, but great music and the presentation has a lot of personality. Awesome entry, nice work!

The Souls Express by antvelm 2023-05-04T21:11:17Z ♥ 2

What a lovely little game! A gorgeous Soular Express, so soothing. One minor peeve I had was that the movement speed started feeling a little slow as time went on, but amazing work, fantastic entry! I really wanted to give the dogs in the dog park a little soulful pet, haha. Loved how the souls would doze off at night, and their adorable emoticons.

Courier Pigeon by Valyn Tyler 2023-05-04T19:30:33Z ♥ 0

Loved the art direction, very nice looking game :) Turning without moving made the camera judder around for some reason. Would love to see the game expanded in the future with maybe more levels or a fun, quirky narrative or some such!

Post-mortum by Mortalies 2023-05-04T19:23:17Z ♥ 1

Cheery, colourful art style! There was one tiny soul who wouldn't despawn when I used the scythe, so I could infinitely grind the score there, lol. Trying to deliver souls was a little finicky, but cool entry, nice work!

Dark Delivery by Untero 2023-05-04T19:11:00Z ♥ 0

Absolutely stunning graphics. The controls sometimes bugged out, though. And there seemed to be some issue with actually delivering the items as well. But just driving around the cart was so atmospheric. Great work.

Deliver to Whence you Came by JUSTCAMH 2023-05-04T17:49:20Z ♥ 2

What the heck, this was incredible! Beat in 14m 37s, but to the very end, I couldn't completely be sure which part of the environment would become a slug and start moving around. So atmospheric with such a simple art style. The gameplay was damn fun, and the physics of it all felt so satisfying. Amazing work, fantastic entry!

IceCream Van by notnasiul 2023-05-04T17:23:55Z ♥ 1

Absolute charmer. Perfect music for the game. It's insane how nice the van's trails looked on the sand, can't even imagine the work it must have taken to make it look that smooth. Excellent work.

p.s. children really are monsters.

Soul Delivery Manager by Stanislav Pustynkin 2023-05-02T21:42:49Z ♥ 3

Looks positively insane! And the gameplay loop is damn satisfying too. Would love to see more of everyting - variety in the worker actions, more levls, more layouts, all centred around a proper narrative! Fantastic entry, well done!

The last way by Arficord 2023-05-02T21:25:12Z ♥ 1

Stunning art style, very atmospheric! The movement felt far more fluid than it has any right to be. The combat felt a little one-tone, and could use some audio and visual feedback, but awesome entry, great job!
