Nice job! I like the animation when the scoop collects the debris. There was no sound for me? Not sure if something was wrong or if just no sound.

lexyvil 2023-10-02 23:50

@funemaker Thanks for trying! And sadly there's no audio, I didn't have the time to implement it.

dan-miller 2023-10-03 02:57

"Where did all those slimes come from!" I said. about a minute later, I realized the water could slow down their growth. unfortunately there were already about a thousand of them

coderaurus 2023-10-03 05:53

Nice, clear visuals. If anything, I'd tone down the stars in the background a bit, currently it's pretty noisy. I also like the interpretation of the theme and concept of the game. The RNG might be too rough. I keep getting swarmed around mid point because I can't get enough ice. A run button or a mechanism to kill some of the slimes would have been great addition.

Good work!

magnanix 2023-10-03 06:40

So many slimes! Wow! XD. Nice little management game for our intrepid astronaut, though should we be delivering a potential gray goo (well, green in this case) incident back home? :P

tkap1 2023-10-03 06:43

The slow vertical speed when going fast feels bad. Reaching the destination takes too long. A way to kill the slimes would be nice, it seems like you eventually just get destroyed. Game is too hard.

rezistor 2023-10-03 10:15

That was fun =D

orold 2023-10-03 16:33

Nice little game, the limited space theme becomes more apparent as your spacecraft fills up with those damn slimes! Better vertical maneuverability would be nice

scollow 2023-10-03 17:09

this game is amazing! I love how it's getting to earth and the slimes! Super inspiring!

hyper-ion 2023-10-03 21:22

Very cool, had a frantic FTL: Faster Than Light energy to it. Music would've made the experience even better, but yeah, totally understand that only so much can be done in such a short time.

he-li 2023-10-04 02:19

Nice drawings! Slimes were pretty surprising! I would say time limit was quite tough for me.

floppynub 2023-10-04 02:27

Loved this. I was particularly a fan of how self explanatory it all was, I instantly understood what to do and the decisions I had to make (full throttle gang for life). Great art, loved the slimes lol but it was all solid. Didn't have a single bug in multiple runs. Be proud, this was well designed, well scoped, and well executed.

jahwffrey 2023-10-04 04:08

Really nice work! It's a tiny version of one of those games where you gotta juggle the different facets of running a spaceship. I love games like that! Well done, I liked the little slime guys too.

tomknocker44 2023-10-04 05:40

I like the idea, but I found it odd that the ship moved slower vertically at speed 3 than it did at speed 1, maybe this was a bug? This made it next to impossible to catch the debris and if you move slower than you won't make it in time. I think the game is supposed to be fast paced, so maybe also consider making the player move faster. Liked the slimes though.

polyforma42 2023-10-04 08:48

Nice little game. I like how it feels to be locked with this goo. Also, I like simple controls. Laughed when some slime fell down from the ship %)

magic-mike 2023-10-04 16:48

Simple yet efficient gameplay, i really felt stuck. I could not make it to the end however, and trust me i tried!

aiyn-skriban 2023-10-04 16:51

Nice job. I had hard time understanding debris were actually MEANT to be harvested, thought it would damage your ship ahah. But the game is really nice, balance is pretty good actually ! Not too hard but definitely not easy.

coro-yy 2023-10-04 17:13

Nice animations and good idea. I wish there was an indicator on how much health you have left. I also felt like the ship wasn't using any fuel in the first minute or so. But overall a nice, simple game.

mapleleaf 2023-10-04 23:24

The speed of the background and the speed of the incoming collectibles doesn't match, and that makes it feel somewhat weird visually. The relationship between the slimes, the water (?) and the player health wasn't really clear and felt kind of arbitrary.

I also don't think the multiple speed levels really add much to the game. I get it's supposed to be a risk-reward type deal, but I think forcing the player to change speeds in some way, and/or make them figure out when they need to use certain speeds, that would give the mechanic more weight.

That aside, the concept is really nice and innovative, actually walking around to control the ship like one would! Just the visuals and execution need some polish.

abcdef65g 2023-10-05 04:56

Very good use of the theme! I like how the different aspects of managing the spaceship clicked over time, and everything naturally started making sense. But even then, I kept failing after the midpoint, haha. The slimes are cute, but they put up quite a fight!

I rather like the chill atmosphere of the game (before the slimes overrun you, that is). If you ever get around to polishing it up some more, as well as adding some audio and adjusting the difficulty a bit, this is a solid foundation for a fun, relaxed-and-slightly-stressful space trip simulator. Great job!

khaotom 2023-10-05 16:05

Thats a very interesting and new gameplay. I made my own sound effects while playing!

thunderchief 2023-10-06 04:03

Inspired game ! At first I was like "Meh, those slimes dont do jack sh**t... Then I died about 2s later x)

bradjste 2023-10-06 16:59

I like the concept a lot, it was fun to try to juggle everything!

r2d48 2023-10-07 04:48

Funny slimes, try sfxr and beepbox to make some sounds in hurry next time

togis 2023-10-07 21:14

Very cool use of the limited space! And the game is quite easy to pickup and understand.

Did the color of the arrow warning for asteroid indicate anything else than the color of the asteroid? If I understood correctly there is no difference between asteroid, scrap, etc, right?

lexyvil 2023-10-08 06:56

@togis Thanks for trying! And there are two types of objects you can capture in space: Ice (to make water and freeze the slimes, preventing them to attack or clone themselves) and Scrap (to convert to fuel).

lastuck 2023-10-09 16:34

Cool concept! It would just need a bit of explainations at first

captandrey 2023-10-17 19:03

Your game explores the cosmos theme, and the graphics are visually appealing. However, there's room for improvement in making the gameplay more fun and engaging - i just used second speed and was collecting everything. It's not clear how the slime mechanic works. Keep up the good work!

matootsy 2023-10-19 17:26

I really like the contrast between the limited space in the spaceship and the big space outside. Very well executed. Easy to understand. Cute pixelart. The idea to take the elements to increase the fuel is nice. The slime : funny idea :-) Good job!

egormnc 2023-10-20 14:49

I really enjoyed the game; it's quite simple but has its unique twist. The gameplay is quite original, in my opinion. Keep it up. I won't mention all the shortcomings and bugs in the game as they have been described above

lincolnsalles 2023-10-20 18:46

It didn't run on my Windows 7, it gave an error
