Harvest Bowl by NvrSkipGameDay 2023-01-10T18:08:18Z
Nice Graphics and game overall. However The controls are hard to master, I think arrows would have done a better job here

The Night and Day Mechanic is really nice ! struggled a bit to harvest my fully grown plants qt the beginning' but figured it out
Hey it is a bit sad you focused more on your sprites and city than the harvest gameplay itself. For example you actually have working rear-driving warning on your car sprite I was like wow wtf xD. The arts look cool and it could have been really nice if we actually could do anything with the harvested wheat and the money from selling them... So many possibilities, but you chose to have rear driving lights ahah. Anyways congratulations on your entry anyway, you really got something here, just, If I may suggest, try to set up priorities first and foremost
Nice Game, good Graphics and Challenging puzzles. A little background Audio would have been great.
Congrats on the entry !
Hands down the best entry i have played so far. Cute Graphics, good gameplay, not too hard not too easy. Intuitive commands.
It took me time to figure out you could issue command to only a type of Nimkips.
Well Actually i figured it out only after reading the description after finishing the game.
-- Bug but not game breaking: Nimkipsget stuck into map borders
Would have been nice to have death animations, cant figure out when ennemy dies but when he disappears, same for Nimkips. Maybe make them explode or something?
Great game and awesome work
@hawkin Dev here !
Thanks for your feedback !
I have some answers already:
. For the mousescroll, its snaps from last item to first item and vice versa when you attempt to scroll past the last item and befor the first item respectively, so it might look as though it is inverted
. For the teleporter disappearance, I think I got it, its a collider thing :)
. For the drop item bug, yes it happened sometimes for us too in Editor but only after some very specific events. I will do further testing to pinpoint it
Thanks again for taking the time to screenshot the bugs you encountered !
@nougato Sorry to hear that, you just have to stand next to the teleporter or better, inside it, and it will automatically detect if you have the EXACT power required
I dig this kind of games, and this one is very well made ! Good game !
Funny and challenging game !
Nice graphics, very funny Intro I actually laughed.
Concept is cool but attacking is really a pain. It seems that if you are like me, that is spamming the attack button, the attack wont actually go off because I reset the attack. Also attacking makes you stop which is really frustrating.
But good game though, nice audio and again very funny intro
The Ambiance is mesmerizing
I must say that for me a manual targeting would have been better, but congrats for the entry !
Impressive game, nothing else to say really. Very good job !
Finally Got the concetp after the 2nd try ! I still have issues figuring out the blobbies behavior, a tuto on how they chose to go would be nice ! great game overall !
Nice base here! can definitely imagine some mechanics, like having to deal with pests, water the plants at given times, etc...
Very Polished Game for a Jam. Outstanding graphics, Cool Gameplay, solid audio, no game breaking bugs. Very Good entry overall
Excellent game' will definitely make several runs
Impressive looking game, nice take on the theme. I really really like the DA, the gameplay is simple yet efficient. Only thing is I encountered a display bug in the end level menu.
AH very nice game, the take on the theme is very interesting !
Very fun game I had a few good runs but only managed to get to 40ish% ! Really liked the humor touch !
NAILED IT
Making Donuts while doing deliveries, what a dream
After a few runs, managed to land a decent 408 !
@drazil100 I just try to have three sorted columns and the last one all the colors that can't fit (not in sufficient numbers to be worth it). Then I would say I happily sacrifice some space on the conveyor in order to wait and see what truck i got next. sometimes rushing to get the box out can block your nit 4 boxes column. Lastly... Sheer luck I guess ?
Nice I guess the 5ms less for each point do add in difficulty ! Here is my last try of a few runs: Screenshot 2023-05-07 000039.png
Damn, what a fun take on a serious subject ! The art is amazing, the jazz Background awesome, game just hard enough, texts are fun... Got 2 endings so far, could finish the 3 levels, might try to get all of them! Awesome game, bravo !
I had to stop otherwise I would have spent my night on it. I suggest for further developments to put an actual timer or game over conditions so that you can loose the game. I feel like at this stage you could go on for hours on end. But really nice concept and I liked playing your game !
A-MAZE-ING
The game is a masterpiece of visual art and ambiance. I am still baffled. Only thing if I may say, smoke glitches when entering a station. Otherwise perfect scenery. Amazing. Epoustouflant
Tried to give it a go but didn’t quite grasp the hang of it... What does any action do ? Felt a bit like just clicking around... Nice try though, liked the concept and the art
The game is a banger, and it gives much needed credits to the logi ! Very strategic, surprisingly well polished... Great entry !
Crisp Pixel art, top notch controls, game is a bit hard tho, I like
Nailed it !
Liked the original concept ! Games a bit slow to my taste, maybe have some kind of timer forcing the player to answer faster, or have some deep interaction between the conversations (I mean they are there already, but maybe deeper even?)! Also it is true you kind of have to force your eyes to see through the shader, though I get that it is for the feeling of the game. Congrats on the entry !
Amazing game ! The gravity wells feel real, along with the controls of the spacecraft makes for an awesome - also very hard- experience ! The graphics are top notch, audio as well !great Work !
Simple yet efficient
Game is amazing. Just short of maxing every rating. I just don't think the ship enhancements have a meaningful purpose besides the repair. Have a option to build more havester would be nice, most of the time i was just sitting there waiting for the harvesting. For the upgrade of the silos, maybe add a "homing missiles " enhancements, because the base missile tend to miss a lot which is frustating.
+ Graphics + Music + Overall ambiance + I just love starships, you talk to my heart
- silo missiles miss more often than note - harvesting slowing down gameplay a lot - enhancements effects dubious
Great great entry, i love it !
I couldn’t control the S.T.O.R.K ?
Spent way too long on this game ahah, showing how good it is ! Here is my end deck (Consistently beats the king)
The strategy is to block damage and build up mana using **Ice Wall** at first, while playing **Zone of Interest** whenever possible to up the damage of **Meteor Strike** and **Air Slash**. Conveniently, uping the damage of **Air Slash** also ups its blocking power when you have at least 1 mana.
Use Channel only if nothing else avilable.
Block, Poke, up your damage with zone of Interest, then once the king is below 50 health and enters Rage mode, you only need 1 or 2 turns to hold before ending him rightly with a meteor strike at 40-50 dmg Screenshot 2023-05-03 152605.png
Nooo I played this game for too long !!!
Hey @Alexsandro, thank you for the feedback ! Yes the car physics was intended to be a challenge, but we get that it can be frustrating! We may tweak the sensitivity a bit down in further builds :)
@generalflunder yes there is a known issue with restarting the game, thanks for the feedback ! Can’t wait to stumble upon your game :D
@patatenouille We are sorry that the controls didn't work for you.
The car was intended to be a bit touchy to control but we understand that it can get very frustrating ahah. We will look into tuning the controls a bit in further builds. Glad that the voice lines cracked you up, it still does for us all the time ahah.
Thank you a lot for this quality feedback !
@drazil100 @zgragselus @rjdrag @rabiller @barce Thank you all for the feedback !
Now since every comment revolve more or less about the controls, we will definitely have a deep look at making it more controllable. We recognize that it also doesn't help that the streets are narrow and sidewalks high, making you bump around alot and ending in someone property.
@mezix @smoky01 Thanks !
@jupiter-hadley Thank you for featuring us in your compilation ! As a side note, you could have also launched packages from the right by using the right click of the mouse :D. It is written in the main menu, but you might have missed it ^^
@drazil100 As a matter of fact I also curse our own game, I am better at your game than at my own lol. I will definitely post an update message when we make our PostJam release, you might get the notification then. By the way I just saw that you published a postJam version, let's see how much I can do this time :D
@jin9310 Thanks for the kind words and glad to hear you enjoyed the sillyness !
Incredible game ! I also was "puzzled" by all the infos at the start but it is quite fast to figure out in the end ! The principle seem simple but all you can do with it is amazing ! Great entry !
Just Amazing, not one bug, clear and concise tutos, and of course the nailed overcooked vibe. Awesone for a 72h window!
Had a lot of fun !
Nice job lads !
Nice and touching little game !
Great take on the theme, challenging game, but fluid !
Nice game !
Fun game !
Nice concept, but I think the third wave never came for me ... The game could use a minimap imo, but overall good design !
You could actually talk to her ? I just ran the f off whenever I saw her xD Nice little game !
Incredible mix of concept, yet well done and with a right feel ! I like it !
I couldn’t deliver a single damn pizza, but that is because I am bad at the game ahah. Liked the entry, nice level design !
DAMN INBCREDIBLE
I couldn't move unfortunately :/
Didn't expect that much reading tnh, but it seems interesting, so I ll come back to finish it later
Nice game, however I feel like turrets struggle to actually hit ennemies
Inspired game ! At first I was like "Meh, those slimes dont do jack sh**t... Then I died about 2s later x)
Nice variation on Tetris
I guess it is so frustrating it becomes good in a way ahah. Nice little game, good entry ! I am not very patient so I didn't get past the first level xD
Nice game ! Some constructive feedback: maybe make the spawn point also the return point where you can drop your loot
Nice ambiance
@derek-glennon , @kippp, @janinna21, @mahalis, @khaotom, @kilthorne, @fan, @bassilij, @raddishradish, @digital-bacon,
We would like to thank you all again for your constructive critcism and overall enthousiastic feedback. All of your comments are being taken into account as we keep working on the game. If you want to keep up with the game, you can do so here, on our newly created studio page, [Ex Nihilo Games](https://exnihilo-games.itch.io/colorspace).
We would be more than pleased to hear from you again !
Wonderful little game !
Nice mood and graphics. Niely done on the light cone. Music contributes well to the oppressive atmosphere. Good entry !
Spent too much time on this
Interesting game, nice !
Fun tower defense !
Nice cozy game !
Game looked promising but I couldn't figure out how to get to any further after the second room. Very nice intro, thumbs up for making the voice acting !
An outstanding game, really. I still can't believe what you guys achieved in 72 hours. It is a stone throw away from being a full fledge Game. Here is my summary of my amazing experience:
**Pros**
+ Gorgeous pixel art. You outdid yourselves + Voice acting and storytelling, always nice to have + The heroes can totally take care of themselves in the city and most times in the dungeons (Coming back to this later) + Classes easy to understand + Ennemy variety + Overall atmosphere + Overall good gameplay loop
**Cons** - Absolutely no commands in the dungeon. I mean, i get that it is the point, I would have liked an emergency exit horn though, with maybe a save system (like in DnD, the heroes throw some kind of dice to see if they can emergency exit safely) - Lack of control over the swap is frustrating. If i am going to only have 3 swaps, better make them count and actually try to make the best teams I can.
**For the future.** I would guenuinely buy this game if it ever comes out as a full game, and here is what I would like to see: - More variety in buildings in the town. I am thinking about separating the upgrade buildingd between blacksmith, alchemist, mage tower or something, archery range. - Still about the variety of buildings, some chill building like a tavern where heroes can chill out and discuss. I saw that there is one in game, but it currently doesn't have any effect. Maybe by incorporating a post-battle damage or stress system, the tavern would have a meaningful presence (akin to darkest dungeon). - More classes to play around with. - Some out of mission training camp. You might be able to send a hero to training, but that would make the hero unavailable for some time. Wait... Something that would be quite innovative, maybe have a tutor - trainee system, which requires two heroes to actually work. The more experienced hero would train the newbie, perhaps the faster the higher his level is. Say you take a S level hero to train a E level newbie, maybe it brings it to C or B, without ever endangering both of their lives. But then you would have two of your heroes unavailable, and one of your more experienced heroes at that.
Then again, you guys did a really amazing job. I am just sharing what I thought and what I would like to see, but you guys do as you wish. This is one of the best games I have ever encoutered in Jams, and it has a real real potential to be a great game.
**Bravo**
I can not get myself to play horror games for long so i didn't even try to finish it. However, I liked the graphics and the ambiance. There is solid potential... I guess, I would never play a full version lol. Really good job !
Amazing take on the theme, Begin a nice family demon just trying to cook diner, only to be constantly summoned by these pesky humans is really an original one. Nicely done!
Had a blast, the game is really fun and full of humor, good job !
The best Jam game I have ever played, hands down. Very clever mechanics (a bit jalous I admit, because I thought about a platformer game with such a mechanic). I hope to see this as a full game in a few years. Huge potential for speedruners !
Bravo
EARS down the best game I played so far. Nothing else to say. Just amazing
All stars game
Game doesn't load for me for some reasons
Simply amazing
You did this in your own game engine... Kudos to you !
Smart take on the theme ! I love deck building games, so hit the spot. However, what does "Brooding""means ? Happens every single turn !
Had a good experience. Game has potential and I like the artstyle, sound, and also this overall gendra of games. The radar and shooting are really working nicely. It is a great Jam entry.
However, I have a few points which were frustating to me.
To start, the game is way too hard as of now. I like difficult games. But here somethings just feels unfair.
For example, why should I pay for missiles which are already loaded in the launchers ? I understand the mechanic of having to pay for ammo, it is a nice and realisitc addition, but it makes more sense that i should pay for the refill, not for missiles which are already there lol. I can literally see the 8/8, yet i can't fire because no money. My man, the missiles are already loaded thus paid for, just launch the damn things already. I felt robbed.
The Titan is wholefully too costly. I take it it is an equivalent of the patriot, which is expensive indeed, but you can literally have only one on the whole map if you plan on having any meaningful other defenses. If the price stays the same, which would be understandable, maybe increase the range a bit.
Otherwise very good game. If some of the points i said are addressed in anyway, i would gladly play it again
