Good to see some other games once in a while, nice idea!

niclee 2023-05-01 15:19

Simple but very addictive. The only reason I stopped playing was cause my mouse hand was cramping up lmao. Would have loved to see some more automation choices! Excellent job!

max-s 2023-05-01 16:18

@snotax, @niclee thanks! Yes, more automation and an easier way to move multiple boxes was planned but didn't make so far. There are a few hours left until the Jam ends, maybe I can get something done until then

I've spent the past 2 hours playing this, very addictive. I think one thing that'd improve the game a lot would be better pacing. Right now, it's constant high intensity. If it had more of an ebb and flow, you could build more automation during downtime

Just as the other people already mentioned, very addictive indeed! The idea is simple, but very well implemented. Only thing that it's missing is a good chill soundtrack hehe. Solid entry, great job!

I like trains, so i like this game =D Game need some polish: sound effects and stuff, as well as some kind of mechanics progression not wider, but deeper. Cool game anyway, enjoyed gameplay!

Is there an end? I played this game for soooo loooong!! Simple but addictive, well done x)

I was recommended this game due to it's similarity to my game and I have to say well done! I had to force myself to stop this was so addicting.

There are some issues with it however. I use a 1366x768 monitor and not all of the train sections fit on my screen. Until I figured out about the auto grabber arm things I was forced to just lose money sending the back package of the 4th car off as I couldn't reach it.

I also wish there was an end to this. As much as I liked this game this could easily go on forever. I am not sure how you would do it in your game but in my game the lose condition is if you run out of space to accept new packages. With your game there is a cost to sending off packages on the grey trains but that cost wasn't nearly enough to risk losing the game (at least not in the amount of time I was playing it).

Again well done. You did a great job with this game!

I had to stop otherwise I would have spent my night on it. I suggest for further developments to put an actual timer or game over conditions so that you can loose the game. I feel like at this stage you could go on for hours on end. But really nice concept and I liked playing your game !

nice really liked the game... very addictive

jahwffrey 2023-05-18 16:22

It took a while to get hectic but when it got there it really got there! There's just something about all those arms moving and the trains coming and going that gets me. Well done! Of note I did have some problems with trains offscreen, though. Once I got pretty far I started getting trains so long they went off the bottom of my screen and I couldn't get all their boxes.

terrabalt 2023-05-18 16:22

I too had to stop playing this, but unfortunately not (just) because it got late at night; My screen is too small to get past 3 train lines with 3 cargo carriages (the 4th one gets clipped). Now I'm sure it's a me problem, but it does make it hard to fully evaluate, and could be an avenue to fix post-Jam.

Nevertheless, congratulations! I like it!

i liked the idea of the game, and how addictive a simple idea and controls made your game very addictive. however, at some point, i stopped playing because there was not really much a incentive to continue. maybe a soundtrack or something could have make the experience better, but overall, i liked playing it and got like 30k points before i discovered i could make cranes! (also thank you for not letting the cranes load whatever the asked color is, i thought it'd be way more chaotic before i knew it was not the case)

Super addictive, as everyone else has said! I also had screen issues, still had a lot of fun. Would love to see this developed further, I think this would make a really fun mobile game. Thank you!

artperski 2023-05-19 10:02

Pros: - simple but very clear and consistent art style - addictive gameplay and super cool game loop <3 - I can imagine it as full/shipped game but with more features

Cons: - randomization system ist too random sometimes :D - lack of features

cassowary 2023-05-19 23:15

I didn't realize there was more to it until I went fullscreen haha, it was only showing the corner of the screen originally on the web build. It's a cool idea though for sure.

I found it weirdly addictive in the same way it's easy to get sucked into Mini Metro and the like. I think the main thing it would benefit from is some kind of "lose" scenario, or if the point is to build a big automated factory-type thing, I think some more higher-level automations that you can unlock later would be cool (the arms are really fun but once you get all the arms there's not really anything more to do other than move the boxes around. I hope you do a post-jam version though, this is a solid base to build off of.

python-b5 2023-05-20 00:10

This was really fun! I agree with everyone else that it is addictive. I think this could be a really good full game if you polished it up for release. Some proper sound and graphics would make a world of difference.

Great work with this.

kaliuresis 2023-05-20 00:17

I had a lot of fun with this! It would have been nice if there was a way to see upcoming trains so you can strategize your crate storage and get the satisfaction of having a 5 long train completely filled by the robotic arms.

pauldee427 2023-05-20 00:47

Addictive and fun.I think the game would benefit from some challenge system or a goal you can strive towards.
