CLASSIC....I can picture this on a gameboy cartridge and getting totally addicted! Think I kinda started to figure where grows best!
I think this game was really cute and fun! I liked the plants you could grow, and I thought the day/night cycle was implemented well. Overall, it was a cheerful little game and I enjoyed playing it!
That funky tune puts you right in the mood! However, while I see how the timer gives you a nice quick objective to aim for, it does hinder the discovery of what each plant does in each environment, which I though was a really unique aspect of this game
Fun little alien farming simulator.
The music was very good and fitted the game, the game also had a nice mood and gameplay
I liked the day-night cycle, fun game
An interesting concept. Is there a win condition? I was just harvesting flowers and minding my own business, and I had around 300 coins when the time ran out. Seems like the first plant is imba with its 5-ply cost multiplier, and just planting it in the top right moon kept me busy enough to not even worry about the other plants by the end of my first playthrough.
It would be very cool to see this extended with more mechanics, or a scoreboard of sorts.
The Night and Day Mechanic is really nice ! struggled a bit to harvest my fully grown plants qt the beginning' but figured it out
Very nice little capitalist alien farmer simulator. Definitely had fun playing it. It would be better if we could harvest crops by dragging our mouse.
An interesting idea, though for me the timer got in the way of really figuring out what works best and where. I was hoping there was some mechanism to add more time, right now it just seems to end there and that's it-no win or loss condition. Or if there are other ways, then I couldn't find them.
The graphics are pretty decent, I like the different plant styles and appreciate the different palettes in lighting/textures on each moon. The music started to get on my nerves pretty quickly - it felt a little random, and there are some harsh frequencies that could use some EQ cuts.
All in all I like the concept, but I wish I could play at my own pace or at least have an objective that allows me to do so.
I love how innovative and intuitive this game is! I love the visuals, kind of felt a bit of dissonance between the audio and everything else about it though- felt like something a little more mellow would have suited it better, but that's all personal preference also!
@ditam Thanks for the feedback! There is no win condition for two main reasons: we didn't like the idea of setting goals in order to avoid generating a sense of urgency or anxiety on the player, secondly we only effectively spent 13-14 hours working on this so we wouldn't have made it anyway :joy:
@flaterectomy I'm sorry to hear the music annoyed you. It sure could have used more fine tuning, also it was initially meant to sync with the day/night cycles of the 4 planets, with 4 different intertwining scores each featuring 2 variations (night and day). Life got in the way of that, alas.
Thanks for playing and the honest feedback!
A chilled little game with a fun soundtrack and a cool new spin on the genre. Intuitive gameplay, although perhaps some more reward features would have been nice - getting back time or a win condition (I'm assuming there isn't one from a few playthroughs?). Either way - good submission!
Nice art style and solid game play! A bit too short timer, I would have liked to keep going. Also not sure what my score was in the end, on my last run I had 500 coins and some plants. Fun idea, I'm curios to know what are the differences. At least different day and night cycle where changing to daytime seems to instantly grow the plant, maybe some planets grow the different plants faster, hmm... Good job!
Nice idea and solid clicker style gameplay. I like the art and the different day/night cycles. Some advice: - The cheapest and fastest (on 2 moons, from my testing) option shouldn't also be the one thats basically multiplying your investment by 5, so giving you the most money. Maybe there are more potent strategies that i haven't considered with the limited time tho. - The time does be very short for figuring out what grows on what moon and actually using it effectively. - Using the same button for planting and harvesting sometimes lead to me accidently planting crops on empty fields. Its a nice farming clicker game, good job
planting was easy like the fact it didnt take a long time to harvest and was very well designed to want to keep playing well done music was good
I'm keeping this one, pretty sure my kids will love this as well ! Nice execution of a simple concept. Thank you for making it :)
Looks great, an I love the concept of the plants acting different in different environments. However it was too confusing for me, would have like have some more kinds and more feedback to understand what was going on. The dynamic lighting and day/night cycle was a great touch.
I love this game. A little bit overwhelming at first, maybe starting with one garden and increasing over time might help with new players? Also, an endless mode would be great!
Very interesting concept & cute graphics. I agree that perhaps the audio should be something a bit more chill? Great overall though
This is a very cool concept. The music was very nice and I was kind of bummed out to the game locking me out after a while. Once you understand the matches between plants you can do it perfectly, but it was enjoyable to figure it out. Good job
Loved the music and the idea was also very nice. Few sfx's and it would be great. Nice job!
I liked the graphics. The music was very chaotic! Perhaps paired with some sound effects it could have been less so. It's really neat each plant had multiple states of growth.
Day/night cycles were a cool touch. I liked the assortment and design of flowers.
Very nice visuals with solid gameplay. Just gotta say that the music became a little annoying after a few minutes, otherwise nice work!
The split-screen harvesting mechanic with different day-night cycles was an interesting mechanic, although I'm not sure it was conveyed or executed too well - mainly, it didn't *feel* like it played an important role because everything moved so quickly and I did not have enough time to "take it in" or learn about the cycles. The music felt a little bit like a fever dream, not sure if it was a good choice or chord progression for this title, it made the game feel more confusing than anything. Overall, the entry was pretty good and it was enjoyable.
