Silly atmosphere, simple gameplay, endearing graphics and sound design. This game is fun and hard and very enjoyable. I managed 56 puddles :).
Nice game! With some balancing and lots of polish (graphics, sounds, music), this would be a great game!
Nothing playable, but an interesting tech demo.
Wow this was very good! I could see selling if you made more levels & polished the gameplay a little. Impressed!
Nice game, interesting "alternative" view mechanic with the drone. I managed to play it through, even though it was a little challenging at first.
Basic gameplay ok, music is nice and sounds and graphics are fine. A little simple, but a good game for the jam.
Nice audio and gameplay works very well. A little too easy, but a very good entry for 72 hours. The music is very catchy!
So I had some trouble running this:
C:\00stuff\dl\LD31\EGOS-master\EGOS-master>EGOS.py
Traceback (most recent call last):

Perhaps I misunderstood something? It's not like there's an installation guide though. I tried installing with the win32 exe and by unzipping the source and going "setup.py install". The engine was installed but running EGOS.py always resulted in this.
Interesting little game. Random maps are nice but some of them are way too small and some are big enough to make the game easier. Sounds, music and graphics are good enough for programmer art.
Good sound design, atmospheric lighting and graphics. The movement was a little clunky and the "interact" mechanic didn't always work intuitively. Game progression was kinda hard since you need to walk everywhere with that tedious pace and try to interact with everything. Nevertheless, a good entry with a very nice atmosphere.
This was fun! I managed to max my str with a warrior since I found a vendor on the first level. With some graphical & feature polish this game could do well on the app market.
What a great idea!
I managed to play through the game
On first try:
[+] Fun and original idea
[+] Graphics are well suited for the game
[+] The sound effects are amusing
[-] A little hard to understand what is going on
[-] Little more visual / audio feedback would make the gameplay feel more responsive
* I only noticed been told off-o-meter later on, it could be a little more visible
* Perhaps some visual indicator near the player when you get told off
* It wasn't clear to me when I was coughing / touching / sneezing since the keys didn't always work
* When does a person get sick? Felt random to me.
* Do the clowns have purpose?
[-] Sometimes the "Staff" tell me off me even when they're quite far?
* This seems to happen when I'm "above" them
On another try:
[+] Sound effects still amusing, but the looping "music" is having a Banana Phone-like effect on me... (
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UqWwsUhrFBw )
[+] I feel overjoyed seeing my enemies fall down one by one
[+] Small pox was a nice change of pace
[-] Still some feedback issues
* I feel like the best way to play is mash all buttons and avoid the Staff
[-] The sounds feel random
[-] The clowns / arcade cabinets are a bit misleading
* They don't affect the game but are on the foreground on
an equal footing with gameplay-affecting objects
I had fun!
[+] Funny idea
[+] I liked the backstory
[-] The robbers are glitchy (they shake and warp)
* Maybe a game loop problem with software vs hardware time?
[-] No visual feedback of hitting a robber
* I don't even know if I ever hit them, the blow dryer & umbrella thing works tho
[-] No sounds
Well, this was fun!
I played it for some while on both the easy and hard modes:
My impenetrable fortresses:
Easy: http://i.imgur.com/yxP5D3C.jpg
Hard: http://i.imgur.com/F8UBqkD.png
[+] Well executed idea
[+] Fun to play
[+] Everything works well (targetting, enemy pathing)
[-] Balance is not very good, the game gets quite easy when you learn to play
* It's not too bad for such a limited time though
[-] Some minor issues with the UI
* Some hover states would be nice, or any other kind of visual feedback
[-] More sounds would be nice
* I only found two: When an enemy gets through and when you try to place a tower to an illegal spot
[-] The graphics are a little on the rough side
* Nice flowers though :)!
All in all, a nice little game.
[+] You can rocket jump
[+] The graphics are stylized and it feels very nostalgic to me
[+] Nice idea!
[-] Feels a little dead (no sound / music)
[-] You can walk out of the world (from the sides)
[-] The goal was a little unambitious.
* Just "get points"
* What do the bars on the left corner of the screen do?
[-] The mouse movement feels a bit unresponsive
* You would expect the weapon to aim directly at where the mouse is
* Now it does sometimes, but mostly just moves when the mouse moves
Great music, sfx, graphics.
Very good level design, I never felt frustrated about what do do. It was tutorial-like, but not in a boring way.
Well done!
[+] Loved the idea & backstory!
[+] Everything works
[+] Simple but not too easy
[-] No sounds
[-] No HUD
* Live score would be nice
[-] Could use some powerups / upgrades / waves / etc.
At first:
[+] Love the lines after you rescue a kid
[+] Nice whistling skills
[+] Nice-looking models
[+] Good sounds
[+] Wilhelm scream!
[-] Could use a background tune / ambience that would go silent while you blow
the flute? For more atmosphere.
[-] This game is so hard! How do I even avoid the mice?
[-] The kids are so slow.
[-] When do I get more flute power?
After some time:
[+] Has depth & skill-based mechanics
* Move the mice out of the way, then go back for the kids
* If you run out of flute-power while escorting a kid, just block them while
you regenerate the power. Screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/ognLk1M.png
I managed to play through the game with full health & all kids )ed :).
[+] Ambitious!
[+] Feels like war
[+] Great and catchy tunes as music
[+] Easy to learn, hard to master
* Slowly advance by killing enemies in pits, then your troops replace them when they get there
[+] Make the player learn how to shoot in menu (explode this to start)
[+] Graphics, albeit not very pretty, are clear.
[-] Too much info at first
* Maybe an easier level / wave at first?
* For example, even though I read all the tidbits in the main menu, I didn't realize my troops could take position in a pit until one of my troops did. Game was very hard for me before that.
[-] Sometimes the random generation makes very, very hard maps
All in all, an enjoyable strategy & tower defense hybrid. Loved it! And I managed to beat it :).

Well, I managed to rate the wrong game by accident...
I'm sorry! I promise I will play this game too!
My rating was meant for this game: http://ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-32/?action=preview&uid=18422
I didn't really understand the goal (other than shooting at people with love) of the game, but I guess the city was interesting in itself. The cars would keep on crashing into each other and most of the people were trying to kill each other until I shot them with the love gun. Interesting, but feels like there should be some sort of a goal.
The combination of the art and storytelling really sold this one for me. At first when I read "pdf game" I thought it was a framework of some sort. Really interesting!
[+] Cool render of Earth!
[+] Intuitive controls that feel responsive
[+] Easy to understand gameplay
[+] Fun and original idea
[+] The fact that by blowing up an ant you risk spawning more is a clever gameplay element
[-] No sounds / music
Managed to save the world!
http://i.imgur.com/bpHpAuT.png
You might want to upload desktop builds, since after a recent patch people with Chrome won't be able to play Web Player builds (at least not without fiddling around the settings).
[+] Great idea!
[+] Lovely graphics
[+] Moody atmosphere
[+] Good sound effects and nice music
[+] Combat works well, but is a little slow (self-knockback)
[+] The different weapons are interesting
[-] After a while, the weapon drops get stale
[-] Balance issues:
* I only used the dmg modifier swords since it was the fastest way to kill the mobs, and I tried most of the different swords
[-] The game doesn't really get difficult at any point and doesn't feel like real progression
[-] It's quite a grind to finish the game and there isn't much change after the first few minutes
[-] Some UI bugs
All in all, an interesting little game!
Beautiful game! After a few tries, I finally managed to get rid of the "evil" dirt. Here's my garden: http://i.imgur.com/1d9YUhV.png . Also, it seems like all the plants went to pun school...
A very well made platformer that is quite hard as well. Especially those guys who shoot through the trees, so OP!
I managed to finish the game but some levels took a few tries. The graphics / sfx / music were spot on. Well done!
I like the idea and the graphics. The platforming itself requires some polishing, as it is at times hard to tell where exactly the character is in regards to z axis. Music and atmosphere is quite nice, really felt like a dream world.
I liked the story. Puzzle was fun once I got the hang of it!
Hello everyone and thanks for playing the game!
koredozo:
- I agree with the rotation & projectile being too slow. I'll tweak it.
- The locked view is by design. The idea behind that was that the player must either take a risk or scout the map a little. I'm not married to the idea though, and if enough people think it's a crappy mechanic, sure, I'll add zoom in / out keys.
Jerre
- You're right. Perhaps the "explosion" should have visible borders where the energy pickup collider is. I'll put it on my list.
parzivalTheVirtual:
- I'll have to look into that color scheme thing.
- I fiddled around with the ricocheting (I was trying to implement mirrors) but I ran out of time before I could make it work. If / when I work on the game more, I'll definitely add them!
furriKira:
- Getting energy through walls is by design. I even try to use it in some of the maps, like in level 4 to tell players some of the energy blocks have holes under them.
- 2D view is a possibility. Maybe a toggle? The reason I went for an angled camera was that I thought it made the holes more believable.
Nice animations!
Could you upload the source somewhere, like github? I'd like to see how a Unity game made with Boo looks like.
A cool concept, I liked the refreshing 360-degree tower defense!
- sfx & music were spot on
- everything worked well
- it wasn't too easy
- graphics were great!
I felt like I was crawling through an LSD trip. It felt so strange. The physics were awesome, I had lots of fun tripping over tanks and pushing them off the platforms. Quite a game!
Interesting idea that you have to first fish, then use the fish as weapons / currency / food. The combat was a little hard, since it was hard to stay out of range. Button mashing to get the fish was fun too, although I can see it getting old :D. Nice atmosphere, the sound design was great!
I used to do this as a kid... Oh my. Nice idea! The bugs were a little hard to find though.
- Awesome mechanic which was very well implemented.
- sfx & music would be nice
- Loved the idea about a new adventure in a classic world.
I managed to beat the game!
Nice rpg system and world. Maybe bind the attacks / spells to keys since selecting the spells and then using them was quite tedious. Well done for 50 hours!
I managed to finish the game. The look on Joe's face when he got angry was awesome! The game was a little short, but it was easy to learn. Well done!
Fun little game :D. You managed to have lots of different systems in place, which was quite nice. I managed to finish the game with no issues :).
This was terrific! It was very easy to get into and everything worked well. Loved the sound design as well :).
Awesome soundtrack & evil laugh sound :D.
The monster is terrifying! Love it!
Fun idea and well executed! It was a little too hard though, perhaps you could stay on your current level when you die? I found starting again very tedious. Music was well done!
Very confusing! This game had lots of work put into it, since it had so much different things going on. The story was interesting, but because it was hard to see what the main goal was, it suffered from it. Good job on implementing so much in such a short timeframe, though!
Fun game! The web physics were quite impressive. The game was a little hard to play & understand at first but after getting used to it the system was pretty good. Good job!
This game had awesome atmosphere, and the Hall of Shadows was so cool!
Good models and lighting as well.
Moving the items about was a little hard, but I managed to make a formation that resembled something at least.
Very nice work in such a short timeframe!
Short little that worked well. It was pretty easy though, perhaps some of the villagers could have ranged attacks? I didn't find any use for the creep ability, since the villagers were quite easy to avoid / kill even when I had multiple villagers chasing me. It fit the theme nicely, and the setting was enjoyable.
Well working game, but not very related to the theme. I liked the sound design :).
Funny, a bit tricky but fun. A nice idea :).
Funny text adventure with a little twist!
Nice game! Laser beam crashed my game(win8) but I still felt the game was quite cool. Really loved the graphics & sound!
The visuals & audio were both very well executed! The game was a little confusing though, and the way the hunters shot at you was quite irregular & random. All in all, quite a solid entry!
- Easy to understand (but not always easy to execute!) puzzles
- Lovely atmosphere
- Awesome graphics
- Nicely fits the theme
I had some problems sometimes hitting the monks with the "possess" skill, since the aiming was a little fidgety. Oh, and I had a bug in which you fell through the wall into the void endlessly if you posessed a monk too close to a wall.
All in all, a very solid entry!
The mood was awesome! The music, the sound effects, the visuals all contributed to it tremendously. The gameplay was great as well. Cool idea!
Nice work for your first 3D game. Had some glitches here and there, like going through walls and getting stuck. Interesting idea.
Nice survival game, although the menus had some issues here and there, and the boar walked on air :D.
Could have used some sound effects / music. The graphics looked very good! The gameplay was a little lacking, though, since there wasn't much of an overarching goal. Nice idea! :)
The laser effect was awesome! Good music & sounds as well. Diagonal movement would have been nice though.
The graphics & sound was amazing :). The story was nice, and the game fit the theme quite nicely. Well done!
Relaxing game. I loved what you did with the village, making it grow over time. The effects went nicely with the blocky graphics.
The atmosphere in this game was very cool! Sound, lighting and graphics made it seem like you were really in a creepy forest. The combat was a bit clunky, but the roll animation was quite cool. Loved the ending!
The story was interesting, but there wasn't too much gameplay. The graphics were quite good and the soundtrack fit the game. Good job!
This game needs menus! I some bugs during the game and there was no menu that would pop-up with Esc or F1 or whatever that would let me restart or quit. Also, it was a little hard to understand what to do at first. These things aside, it was quite a fun game and the art & sound design was very well done. Good job!
Can't download. The site says:
"
Shadow Assassins.rar
You download the file is too big, we need to use Baidu cloud housekeeper.
"
This game was terrific! I loved the idea and the execution!
Fun little game with enjoyable physics! Had a good laugh at some of the mortar men shooting their friends in the back :D. The game could have used some progression, like getting more enemies the further you go, and perhaps a music track or two to create atmosphere. All in all, well done!
Funny story and great combination of story & gameplay features :). The platforming seems little clunky at times since it is a bit slow. I liked the atmosphere!
The controls were very hard to grasp, but this game had lots of different things going on. The Plants Versus Zombies-esque feel was quite cool!
- Awesome sound effects, I spammed the "Spooky Shadow" button at all times because the sounds were so good :D.
- Lovely graphics
- I loved that the game had "checkpoints" so that you didn't have to start all over again when you died
- The puzzles were a bit tricky at times but rewarding once you figured them out
Very well done!
Nice game, but could use some more gameplay elements in further elements. For now it was just all the same. The graphics are awesome, and the music fit the mood quite well!
Very well made text adventure! Quite deep with lots of options.
Such good writing! I even laughed out loud once :). Good job!
Very confusing! The combat mechanics were very hard to get into. I liked the "draw your character" thingy though. Also, it was funny to catch the villagers to heal.
Fun little game, I had fun wreaking havoc as a huge monster! It was hard to understand at first that the monster was auto-scaling the buildings, and that you could destroy them if you wished. The game became more enjoyable instantly when I realized I could destroy the buildings and then walk through them. Also, it would have been fun to be able to crush the tanks / soldiers just by jumping on them.
This was a fun little game. The atmosphere was enjoyable because the music was spot on, and something about destroying ships and chomping on the dead sailors is just very calming.
A little confusing, but nice looking graphics!
The game is a little hard to understand at first, but it's a solid puzzle game once you get the hang of it. The graphics are crisp and the shadows are a nice touch. The sound & music are pleasant. Good work!
Nice storytelling :). I found it funny at times, too :D. Good job!
Funny game with a twist :). I liked the atmosphere in the "secret" ending.
Really good game!
+ Awesome graphics
+ Awesome music
+ Great gameplay idea and execution
- Short (understandable)
- No sound effects
How do you play this? I can't see a release on the Game Jolt page.
Wow, what a good looking game! Here are my thoughts:
+ Graphics are gorgeous
+ The sound / music design is great! I really liked the theme song.
+ The way the game starts seamlessly when you press start game is cool
- The controls are a bit hard and there is no speed meter or a way to control your speed so it can be a bit tricky to play the game
- Sometimes it's difficult to gauge your distance to other objects, since the plane is white and so are the blobs you must collect
- Could have used a setting where you invert up / down arrow (as is common in flying games)
Good looking game with good mechanics & sounds :). I got hit by the ball many times :D.
I... I think I reached Lucy.
Terrific game with awesome graphics :). Could have used some music and sounds! I loved the descriptions on the items.
Funny game! This is what happened to me: http://i.imgur.com/SX1Rh0K.png
The controls are a tad bit hard, since it's not always 100% clear where the Sumo TwoMo is heading :D. Nice work!
Kinda cool management game but there was no danger or goal, so it was a little pointless. Anyhow, the music and graphics went together nicely and the management itself was interesting for a while.
I played through all levels, and here's what I have to say:
- It was quite hard to know what do first, with no sound and no helpers. Perhaps write a short introductory message that lists the keys and what you can / should do?
- Once I learned to play, it was fun!
- The towers looked good and the enemies were very gloomy :D.
Good job!
I made it to the part where the ice was introduced. Nice game and cool idea. The fps was quite choppy even with terrain deformation off, but the game is still playable. I really liked the graphics, the game looked very consistent and good. The mood was very wintery, which was nice. The music got quite repetitive fast, but it was nice to listen to at first. The gameplay was quite hard but fair. Good job!
Interesting idea but the controls are a bit rough.
Interesting game... The controls are very hard and the graphics are a bit on the rough side, but it's a game alright. I liked the atmosphere :).
Very original! Two-footed jumps were quite hard at first. Nice game!
Interesting game! I was totally immersed. It got hard once you had enough speed. Cool game :).
The physics and controls worked fine. The game was a little confusing at first, and would have benefited from some sounds / music. The graphics looked good.
The graphics, sound & music were nice. The gameplay was a little hard at first but it was easy to get used to. Solid game!
Great game! Very simple controls but difficult to stay alive for long. It is very satisfying once you start gaining speed. My friend made Top 1 on the board! Loved it.
This was very fun with a friend! The gameplay is simple to learn but challenging to master. We had lots of fun trying to out-wizard each other. The sounds and graphics go along nicely together. Good work!
I liked the game a lot! For some reason the sound the fish makes when it shrinks sounds really satisfying to me :D. I also liked how the sushi place is built on top of such a steep hill, lol...
Good work!
Quite an original idea, but it wan't very easy to learn. With some polish, this could be a very interesting game!
Simple controls and challenging gameplay! It was fun with a friend. Graphics, sound and music were very nice. Good job!
It was a nifty little idea, but I found it quite easy. I was able to finish each level by just running in circles and spam the space key :P. The graphics were OK and the game worked fine.
Good game, could have used some sounds / music :).
I liked the graphics and the gameplay very much. I had fun digging under those red guys :D.
The game feels a bit cumbersome since it's so hard to catch any of the creatures if you wish to kill them, and there's sort of a delay to any action you make. Otherwise, it's a neat idea and can be quite fun once you get the hang of it. I liked the graphics & animations too :). The control system was easy to get used to, and it's a very original approach to the two button theme.
I really liked the graphics in this game, feels like something from the early 2000s (I mean that positively!). The ringing sound that is always present gets quite annoying, but otherwise the sound effects are enjoyable and fun. The music, while good, got repetitive quite fast. The gameplay itself is easy to get, but hard to master. The controls are fluid though. It was interesting to see what kinds of different flowers you could get. And the Twitch integration is an interesting feature, one I have never seen before. Good work!
Well, this was interesting. I liked the music & the graphics, but the game lacked any challenge (since there was never any danger). The story behind the game is great :D. I managed to get quite far, and suddenly the forest stopped. Here's a screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/pBOjP91.png
I planted a tree. I'm a hero!
A pretty game with nice music but not too much to do :).
It was quite a fun game, although I thought it was a little tedious to open the boxes since it was so slow. The slowness was OK for the combat since it was tactical but the boxes could have been opened instantly in my opinion. Great graphics, sound and musics. Well done!
The sounds & music will haunt my dreams, as will the red blob.
Otherwise a not-so-bad looking game with solid gameplay.
Nice little game that gets very difficult after a while. Could have used some music on the background, or different types of drops.
Great game! Awesomely styled 3d fps, old school way.
Quite a hard game, but the mechanics are fair and the controls solid. Good work!
I really liked this game!
+ The atmosphere is great!
+ The graphic style is perfect for this sort of a game
+ There is some nice lighting stuff going on
+ Gameplay is challenging but not too difficult
+ Nice sounds & music :)
- The music loop isn't seamless
Nice beat game. Music was cool and the graphics were nice. The game was quite hard at first though.
Nice game! I managed to finish it.
+ Solid puzzle mechanics
+ I really liked the way you get poured down with the little buttons when you start the game :D
+ Sounds & music were nice
- In level three I think where you first have to boost I went with the orange button but couldn't press the blue button. It was annoying because I had no way of knowing that and had to start all over.
- Would have made it more enjoyable if you could have held down the jump button so that it would have continuously jumped. Somehow that makes platformers more enjoyable to me :D.
Crazy fun game! I loved how fast it feels once you start getting those red and blue berries!
This game was so good! The sounds, music and graphics were all 5/5. The mood was like as if it was straight from a Japanese TV show. Awesome!
Simple but solid gameplay, even if lacks a little variety.
Good job!
I survived to the ripe old age of 59! Nice concept, and the game works very well. It was simple but effective.
I really liked the graphics and sound & music :).
Gorgeous game! Everything worked well. The game is quite simple though. And no sound effects. But it looks so good!
Nice little multiplayer game. The graphics look quite nice, and the sounds are very good as well. With a little polish, this could be very popular!
A very well made game! The combinations were difficult to remember at first, but fortunately there were enough people that it didn't matter too much. I managed to finish the game, and legalize weed, flying bacos, pirates and many other things. I really like the fact that the city changed whenever you made a new law. The graphics were top notch, and the sound & music design was quite nice. The control system was very well thought as well, and it worked nicely. Good work!
Cool game, the physics were very well implemented. I enjoyed flying through space whenever I made a mistake :D. The graphics and music fit together, and the gameplay was difficult enough but simple to learn.
Simple little game in which your beard grows way too fast. Funny idea but there wasn't too much variety in the gameplay. Nice graphics & sound.
This was a very nice tiny civ management game :). I liked the mood quite much and the workers were quite fun. The graphics and music worked together well. Good job!
The game is very difficult at first, maybe a bit slower pace when the game starts? Anyhow, the controls were crisp and the grahpics, sound and music worked together well. Well done!
It was a good little puzzle and the music was nice. I really liked the mood of the game. Also, I started gamedev with PyGame so it was cool to see a PyGame project here :). Good job!
A great puzzler! I really liked the different shapes and how they were used. The last level was quite hard but I managed! Good job!
Beautiful game with great music & sound. It really felt good. The only minus I could think of was that it was sometimes hard to see where the enemies were since you couldn't control the camera. Good work!
It was hard to play at times, since the controls wouldn't respond (I'm guessing there's a timer after an action?), but it was interesting. I liked the graphics and the idea.
Nice twist on the lemmings idea! I managed to make it far enough but then for some reason I couldn't get any further (I got like 1300 score but the game kept saying "Oh no!"). Nice game nevertheless. Could have used some sfx, though.
The graphics and sound & music were really great! The game was kinda fun as well, although I couldn't figure out why you would need the different transformations (after trying out some of the others I just spammed the shoot key without ever changing the object). There were lots of collision bugs as well. All in all, an enjoyable game!
Wow what an interesting concept! It really creeped me out that any of the villagers could be a werewolf :). I was also very scared during the night! Everything worked well and the graphics and sounds fit nicely together. Very well done!
Fluid animations and nice concept. Too bad it isn't finished :).
I liked it a lot and I was even able to finish it! I really loved it how every shape had their own musical theme :). Good work!
Really liked this one, I even finished the game :). The puzzles were easy to understand and the game played very smoothly. My only criticism is that there wasn't any more objects than the stairs and direction arrows, so the game was quite easy. Nevertheless, very well done!
Interesting, yet simple game. The sounds and music fit well with the aesthetics of the game.
A very hard game for me :). I couldn't figure out how to turn back once I started turning to one direction so I had a hard time getting anywhere. Anyhow, it was a good looking game and the space seemed vast :).
Nice to see a Scratch project here. I liked the messages when you got far enough :D.
There wasn't much to it. The sounds and graphics were nice though :).
Interesting idea but it was a little hard to play, especially since I would have preferred the camera to behind the ball, not in front of it. The blocks looked rather nice and the sounds were pleasing.
Good looking game with nice music. Too bad it wasn't very related to the theme and quite incomplete.
Wow, what a cool entry! The game plays very well and the animations & sound and music are great! Good job! I always accidentally kill the villagers I am saving from the prisons :D.
I liked the wall-breaking feature and the way you could take their form... But the game was close to unplayable with those keys, at least on my keyboard!
Wow, Carl has some vivid nightmares!
This game has a little bit of everything. The nightmares are actually different game modes in disguise. I thought it was a very clever way to have a not-boring game that fits within the confines of the theme.
The controls are good, and the difficulty is tough but fair.
I really liked the responses the 8-ball had. Also, the graphics fit well together.
I didn't think the game was confusing at all.
All in all, a very solid entry!
Simple and easy to understand. I managed to get 60 points!
An engaging mini-platformer with a cool story and solid controls. Fits the theme well. The general feel of the game is good, thought it would benefited from some sound effects. The graphics & animations are crisp and fit together well. Well done!
mirta000: after you kill the guy, you go back to the inn and sleep in your room(press q near the innkeep). The next day, someone else may have taken your room...
This was very... Philosophical. The computer sound was a tad bit too loud.
I liked the narration :). Also, walking animation looked pretty good.
This was a fun game! I was really scared the bomb was going to go off, and tried my best to get out of the vault as fast as I could. Loved it!
This has been the best LD game I've played so far. It feels a little overwhelming at first but once you get the knack of it, it'll feel like a breeze. I made some odd contraptions but I managed to reach level 8. I feel like I might play this for fun after I've reviewed enough LD games :).
Nice take on the genre :). The models were quite good looking.
Nice music and visuals! The gameplay was a little confusing because at times it was hard to see where the ground was. I liked the cat!
A really well executed idea! The graphics and sounds all fit together nicely. I didn't encounter any glaring bugs. Good job!
The music was quite good, which held my interest. Couldn't find the last card, even thought I had at least a minute to look for it. It was fun before that happened :). Good one.
I didn't feel like controlling the ship was too hard. I thought it made sense! Breaking stuff up feels great and the sounds & music really make the atmosphere.
I also liked that the game included a boss fight!
Could have used some textures on the models, and perhaps some more color. Otherwise really cool looking effects! Don't know how it fits the theme thought :).
I loved the visual style of it and how snide the mechanic's remarks were. The controls were simple yet challenging and the level progression fit well with the theme. It would have been nice to have a more interactive experience since even if I finished the track in time the mechanic was still disappointed.
Lovely puzzle with well thought out mechanics. I liked the graphics and sounds too. Good polish on the UI, I very much enjoyed the fact you can speed it up and restart very easily.
Thank you everyone who played my game! I love the feedback you've given :).
Hey @willbl3pic thanks for the constructive criticism.
- The drag inside the space station is a lot, I agree. I think I will spend some time thinking for a better solution if I continue development.
- Good point about the crashing! This wouldn't be hard to add. Maybe I will :).
@rasm Hey thanks for playing! The amount of pirates is based on the amount of money you have & the amount of ore you have & the amount of ore you are getting from the asteroid. So if you have 10k money and 5 ore and you mine an asteroid worth of 5, you get (10 + 5 + 5 / 10) = 2 pirates.
Interesting take on the platformer genre. The game has nice animations and models, and the sounds are OK. I really like that the player character is so lazy that they walk the dogs while skating :D. Nice little game.
The city has a nice feeling to it and the art is pretty cool. The game plays well, but I have one gripe. I feel like the camera should be centered so that you see what's happening underneath, or zoom out when you get higher. Now it feels very limited when you go higher than the street.
All in all, interesting take on the genre!
Really cool graphics and sounds! Needs something else than slowing down movement to ramp up the difficulty though.
I thought the game itself was good but you shouldn't have used someone else's music even if you credited them on a compo entry. It's against the rules.
The mechanics are great in this game! It's almost like a puzzle :). The sounds also were very well thought out, they fit the art style nicely. Lovely bit of game design! I think it would have been fun to let the player choose what they had in their backpack in the beginning!
Wow, nice work! How hard was making the AI? The game could have used an indicator when you have no actions left so you know when to go next turn.
Nice looking graphics, but the sounds could have used some more work. Anyhow, it's very impressive for a compo entry!
Also, extra points for the effort of narrating the text. So rare, and it was actually quite good!
@meursault Ok that's cool thanks for the response :).
I think the player shouldn't stop when swinging the sword, I think that would make combat a little less jarring. The idea itself was interesting, and the soundtrack was pleasant, although a little short.
I knew this was too good to be a game created during the Jam. I see you said you created just the level during the Jam. So I'll talk about that. It was a nice one, although perhaps a little too easy. I felt like there was no chance of failure. Perhaps some more guards that would have forced alternative routes.
The game itself feels, looks and sounds great! Also the main character really has some trouble climbing stairs sometimes. The guy just starts crawling :D.
Nice work!
Funny clicker game that has some interesting twists. I would have liked a little less linearity though, but it suited the plot very well! The humor was on point and the music & graphics were well done!
I liked that the music changed once you got drunk enough. Perhaps the game could have gotten just harder to control instead of adding more and more enemies? I thought it became impossible to stay alive very quickly.
I got 81k points! It was a little hard to understand at first but once I got it, it was very intuitive. The game would really have benefited from some audio :).
The graphics were very cool and the mechanics worked quite smoothly. The game really fit the theme and switching the "main" color was well done. It got really hard with four colors. Good job!
Cute art and nice music :). Creative use of the theme, don't think I've ever played a game before where you have to lose your powers :P.
- The first level is quite easy - just stay at the top or bottom until the boss.
- Loved the smooth level transitions!
- Music was great!
- I would have liked more fire rate on the weapon.
- Respawning after dying takes a lot of time, why is that?
I liked this game very much. I played it until it started looping. Well done!
Wow, a NES game! And a puzzler! I like both of those things a lot!
I really liked the graphics & sounds. I would have preferred the music loop instead of starting again when you restart. The bunny is cute :3. I think I managed to beat at least 7 levels. Cool stuff!
I thought pizza making your saltmeter go DOWN was a little weird, but I guess it fit the general feel of the game. I loved that you made an online highscore board, that's something I've always wanted to do for LD :).
Somewhat hard but the controls are very good. What a good game!
The game was quite short but it was very atmospheric and beautiful. Nice work.
Charming graphics and simple yet challenging gameplay. I think it would improve readability if the status indicators on the chickens were in the same formation as the chicken action UI is. Right now the chicken statuses are laid out as a grid whereas the actions are more like a diamond. The music was a little repetitive but not annoying.
The game gets very hard quick!
I found the stairs!
I think the ball should be faster. And the camera should only zoom when you collect points. I liked the wall graphics. The camera zoom thing is an interesting mechanic to be sure!
It was interesting and I feel like I really got good at the game. The aesthetics were nice, I liked the dystopian theme. Creative use of the theme :). I used the same route every time, going as up as possible.
Nice little dating sim, although it's mostly just a memory game. I liked the photo-based images :D.
My game had a pretty similar idea to yours :). I thought this was a nifty little space shooter. The controls were a little hard though, the rotation could have used some more intervals. Maybe accelerate the rotation if player holds down the rotation key?
Otherwise I liked the graphics and gameplay :).
I really liked the mumbling sounds when talking with people and the animations they have when they arrive at your cubicle. Could have used an elevator music style background tune :).
The intro text needs padding, at present it's very hard to read because it's so wide.
I had some trouble understanding how I was supposed to "win" in the game. Was I supposed to insult the people to end the conversations quickly? Well I tried it both ways and I don't think I had a big difference to my ending score.
The game has an interesting take on the theme, and I really liked the mood. It sometimes hit too close to home :P. Well done!
I got 34786 points :). Nice little game with neat aesthetics and ok sounds & music. I really liked the key switch feature.
I really liked the computer stuff; reddit being front page of hell and "twatter" where Donald Trump says stuff about Norhth Korea :D.
I liked the music and the mood. The enemies were hard to hit when there were many of them!
I got 12000 points then I died :). The game started very slowly and at first I thought nothing would happen. The red slimes were impossible to stop once they started getting traction. Interesting stuff!
The controls were very solid and the graphics looked nice. The sounds were very run-of-the-mill but they were good to have. Carrying a slime felt natural. I would have liked the person wanting slimes to say something else every once in a while, and perhaps tell me where he went when he got what he wanted!
Good job!
Cool graphics and sound design! I felt the powerup mechanic was a little annoying since you couldn't pick many up without dying so eventually you just had to dodge them all.
There were many spelling errors and the game seemed simple at first but it grew on me :). I really felt like dad was a real character and my cousin sure does have a lot of birthdays lol. And it's a very unrealistic game because I always had too much money! I swear that never happens in real life...
Interesting game, I liked it!
I liked the idea but the UI needs work. It's very hard to understand at first.
Haha what a fun game. The controls are solid and the game is very fun :). I lol'd when the mood changed after getting some green :D. Nice work!
I liked the arcade feel of the game. The movement felt a little choppy at first but once you got the hang of it felt intuitive. I liked that you blow up when the pirate catches you :D.
I really like the idea and the different "advisers" who appear. However I found the way the options influenced the stats not very intuitive, for example sometimes developing some weapon didn't improve the army or peace didn't improve international relations.
Quite an interesting game nevertheless! And funny dialogue :).
Awesome art and there's quite a bit of it. The gameplay isn't too bad either, and the game itself seems quite polished. Continue development, put it up on Patreon and get paid :D.
@tanner07 That is a weird comment to make on a four year old game :D
@tanner07 You are correct. Here's the link: https://bradur.github.io/LD42/ . Audio doesn't seem to work and if you don't play fullscreen you may not see your character. But feel free to try it if you want
There's so much stuff in this game, it's just not very intuitive for the player. What's the goal? Other than that, the gameplay feels smooth and all the models are top notch.
I think it's hard enough when the old boxes block the new ones - being unable to see the storage areas is way too difficult combined with that. Perhaps two game modes, one where you're able to see the areas and one where you aren't. Would be easier to learn :).
Other than that, the graphics are solid and the controls are good. A minor nitpick about the player movement is that the player seems to slide a little, as if on ice. The sounds add some atmosphere but the game feels a little empty without some background music.
An interesting idea that fits the theme well nevertheless, and a good execution of it!
Such a hard game! Very innovative mechanics though and the AI seemed to play quite well. Fits nicely with the theme. The music is a little repetitive but the graphics are pretty.
This game has spunk! Cool music & idea. Walking around feels a little janky at times.
Funny little game that makes you think.
Graphics, sounds & music all very well done! The gameplay was easy to learn and everything seemed to work. I liked the fact that instead of spamming fireballs everywhere you had to be careful not to wall yourself in!
I'm a sucker for puzzles, and this is quite a puzzle! Loved it and managed to beat all the levels. The gameplay is very well done and the sounds are quite pleasant. Good job!
It looks cool but I'm having a hard time figuring out what's happening. And for a Tron homage you must have sounds & music!
I turned the SFX down to 10%. The sounds were quite distracting, but the music was very good! Nice use of the theme, quite a twist to the very familiar shmup mechanics!
After the first level the game got very hard. Or maybe I'm just not a good shmup player.
Well done!
There's a very good atmosphere in this game. Getting killed by touching any enemies is very annoying because it's hard to see around you. Interesting game.
Lovely little game, just lacks enough levels to make it interesting. Good job with the atmosphere!
The sounds when you kill the wizard are very disturbing! I guess they fit well :D. Quite good for your first game! I liked the beam spell the wizard used!
Quite a simple game. Even though the gameplay is very slow and relaxed, the debris catches up to you real quick!
The atmosphere is top notch, the sounds & graphics go so well together! It's just a little confusing. Super well done!
Very hard controls. The sound that was played when I pressed the middle mouse button was very loud and noisy. Cool graphics though :).
Cool game! Very realistic graphics ;). Everything seems polished from the gameplay to the sfx and design. It's very hard to find anything negative to say about the game. Well done!
Nice chicken animation! Would be more pleasant if you could hit the underside of a box without dying.
Could use some polishing for the UI. It's quite an effort now to realize what's going on and to learn how to play.
The controls are quite hard at first since you're thrust into the game immediately. The graphics could use some work, but the gameplay is solid once you get the hang of it. Good job!
Cool graphics but the gameplay is hard because the camera moves everytime you move your mouse. Also, feels a little empty without any sound. Nice twist on the classic tower defence genre!
Nice retro shmup! It was a little weird that the game told you beforehand you would lose (if you didn't have enough stuff collected from the space shrooms). The graphics were pretty and the sound effects fit well with the aesthetic. The boss fight was hard! I think I finished it with 1 HP left đ . Would have been nice if the smaller enemies served a function, now I just dodged them and ignored them. I really like how the enemies look when they "die" and are ready to receive your sacrifice. They really look beaten down lol.
Cool game! The herding mechanics were quite interesting. It was hard enough that sometimes the little humans would run away from me and I felt like I was chasing sheep đ. Also, that volcano scene got a chuckle out of me. Also, the second level was really hard for me for some reason, but I managed to finish it with 00:00 on the clock đ.
Could have used a music track :).
volcano.png
Super cool game, sounds are choppy on WebGL probably because of unity audio import settings (should be loaded to memory on startup). The controls were a little hard at first but once you got the hang of it was smooth. I didn't like getting instakilled when colliding with the mobs. Quite a solid entry with a cool story!
The controls were quite hard at first but not impossibly so. It doesn't feel too bad after a while. Getting stuck on walls is annoying though!
Felt good to have so many powerups đ. Could have used some sounds & music!
You managed to include a lot of features and a tutorial. Quite a feat! I really liked the sound effects, especially the responses by the people("Aye aye, sir" đ). The difficulty is a little high but the mechanics are fair. At first I didn't realize the change in the soundtrack indicated that the monster was about to feed (30s warning). Seems like it could use a more obvious visual cue than just the feeding time flashing in red.
All in all, a super well made game in 48 hours!
Terrific game! I died a lot but because the character is always jumping and shooting and the level restarts itself, dying doesn't feel too bad. I was unsure what purpose the palette change served but it was cool nonetheless. Unbelievable for a game made in 12 hours!
Wow! Everything about this game is amazing! The graphics, the little backstory, the music & sound effects. The card game mechanics are very well done. Due to a very wide variety of different cards the game stays interesting for a long while. I was really bad at first but after some time I got the hang of it and managed to beat the game. Felt so rewarding!
*The birds make me angry. It is right they should be sacrificed.*
Hard game! Controls are tight and the graphics work well with the sfx. Could have used some indication / sound when a sacrifice was successful. Many of my sacrificial birds just ended up on the other side of the pit đ.
All the animations and 3D models are top notch!
I feel like this game could use some polish on the UI & controls side. It was hard to understand at first what was happening and how I could play to win. The art is very nice and the sounds work well with the art. Interesting idea!
Lovely game :). At first I didn't realize you had to hold down the mouse to send the minions to buildings / enemies so it was super hard đ. But once I realized that, it was a breeze. Cool graphics and very juicy sound effects. Nice!
I liked the particles and sound effects, and the shake effect when you shoot. It was quite a short game so I managed to beat it :). I think the music needs some work and perhaps there could be other ways of dealing with the enemies than just smashing the mouse button. Good job!
Very cool graphics & sound effects. Too bad there isn't any music (during the game)! I feel like it would fit this game very well. I love the screen shake effects you had going on too.
Best game I've played this jam! The way the guys march so evenly just works wonderfully with the groovy soundtrack and very well done sound effects. And the game has surprisingly deep mechanics! I sent a scout ahead to check on stuff .
Here's a picture of my crew:
crew.png
I think the graphics are cute :). Especially the lightning strike! Needs sounds! Also, it's a little too easy for my liking. I never lost any health and I made it to Wave 10.
Wonderful 3D models! The theme music was a little short so it got old quite fast but it was nice the first couple of loops đ. The controls worked quite well and the puzzles were difficult enough but never unfair. I saw some other similar games where you had those walls that let you set up your followers to a certain formation, interesting to see how other people had the same ideas.
Super cool game with many mechanics that work wonderfully together! I loved the writing in this one, I sacrificed the wife, LOL đ. I liked that the shooting itself was skill-based but you still had included after the shooting was done. The shooting sound was a little grating, perhaps you could have had more shooting sounds with some variety. Almost a 5/5 for me!
That's a lot of story! Interesting way to carry the game.
The graphics and sound design were very good. Controls worked well and combat was quite nice.
I just didn't understand what I was supposed to do. I mean, I killed all the enemies and reached the white "door", then the level just restarted.
Graphics are amazing, too bad there isn't any sound. I would have liked to see ahead instead of having a forced camera perspective. The fact that the enemies were following you instead of trying to reach the castle was an interesting mechanic. Controls worked quite well, it was intuitive to hit the enemies. Nice job with the self-exploding mechanic too!
I liked that it was a slow build up, helped me with my strategy :). Nice music & sound effects! The controls worked well and the UI was quite clear. I liked that you included a tutorial, would have been quite hard otherwise. I thought getting the worship meter up was a little too time consuming, and it was hard to tell how much cultists you needed to sacrifice to win. At one point I had a truckload of cultists and I sacrificed most of them only to find out I only got the bar halfway full! A very smooth experience nevertheless.
Interesting game, loved the animations. So much work was put into those! I found it a little annoying that I lost the sword after tossing it. Lots of mechanics in this game, impressive that you managed to combine everything and still make it work!
Wonderful game that feels very polished. You managed to include an ending cutscene too, how cool is that?
Nothing ever changes but the list of available stuff to buy. That's why it becomes boring after a very short while. If you take a look at Cookie Clicker for example (http://orteil.dashnet.org/cookieclicker/) you can see how there's always something new going on in the screen when you buy stuff. Not that you should have so much features but you could have something instead of nothing.
That being said, I did click it like a maniac until I had half of the shop unlocked đ. So good job! The sound effects and the graphics were fitting, would have liked to hear some ominous music too đ.
Nice graphics, too bad there aren't any sfx!
I liked that the ships had their own strategies on how to avoid being shot. And how the humans were thrown out of the Civilian ship. When I finally downed a supply ship I forgot what the key for boarding was and had to look it up đ.
Super cool game! I loved how the story revealed itself through the side quests while the main quest was ever present. I died and my daughter took my place, and a new grave appeared. Hilarious! Awesome that there was a quest to kill the mysterious hooded figure. Too bad none of my regulars were up to the task so I just suckered up and paid all the gold back. I wonder if there is a an alternative ending to the game where you actually get rid of the hooded figure?
My favourite game so far!
Terrific game! All the graphics, animations, sound effects, camera work felt super polished! It was too hard for me though, I barely got to the point where those pink asteroids started showing up and I played at least 10 times. Very well done!
Terrific game! I had fun finding all the ways to die. I really liked the writing in this game. With sound, the atmosphere would have gone through the roof! I managed to find all the ways to die. The shop UI was a little clunky.
Nice game about a person's life choices. Could have used some background music.
Once I figured out the correct strategy, it was just some furious clicking. Still, it managed to keep my interest till the very end. Well done! The music track really helped with the atmosphere. Good job!
I killed them all! I found that the best strategy was to let them steal all but one treasure, then let someone steal it in the beginning of the wave and grab that adventurer. Then flail around until you had space to clear the other adventurers.
Cool graphics, sounds, gameplay. Well done!
This game looked gorgeous! Too bad there isn't any sound. It was a clear homage to Binding of Isaac, and I felt it worked quite well. The movement and animations were quite good and choosing an attribute every time you died was a nice touch.
Well polished game, could be a little harder! I gave up after around 115 points because the game didn't seem to get any more difficult.
Very well done! I managed to beat the game but it got really hectic towards the end :D.
Interesting little puzzle! Not sure how it related to the theme but it was easy to understand what I was supposed to do. The graphics and music worked together nicely. Managed to finish it!
This game was curiously addictive. I managed to get around 1000 max hp and then the game started lagging a little when a wave spawned. I guess I started having too many uncollected hearts around my base. I died because I accidentally bought something too expensive :D.
Nice work! There is more to this game than meets the eye. I liked planning a strategy and exploring while my turrets did their job. Could have used a background music track for extra mood.
ezgif-2-3673997029c5.png
Super good game, my favourite so far in the jam! I loved how the little human got himself killed all the time đ. Cool that you had multiple separate music pieces!
Cool graphics and idea. Really liked the old weasel :). I found a shortcut to get to the yellow gem, with max jump you can jump over the mountain near spawn!
Could seriously use some sound effects, I think it would be so cool to hear the little weasels skittering around.
I didn't see a reason to use the gun too much, I just trapped the weasels in a corner and let the net do the work. That seemed to work well, only sometimes the crafty little bastards would climb the wall!
Impressive amount of 3D content for compo!
I thought it was super hard to play. The way the character stops when you're aiming the jump makes moving around very slow. The graphics, animations and music & sound effects are all superb!
What a cool puzzle! The game suffered a little from lack of sfx / music but it was very enjoyable nonetheless. I would have liked some more challenging puzzles :). The effect after you finish a level was very cool but perhaps it could be a little faster. Graphics are super cute!
The shooting was a little weird. Music would have made the game much better. Cool juiciness with screen shake and sound effects and nice graphics!
I think it's a clever little puzzle game. Has some bugs like if you reset after dying you get 25 health back, etc. The shop UI was hard to understand at first, couldn't figure out how to buy a key (use down arrow).
Clean graphics and nice sounds, well done!
The sound effects were well done :). I managed to beat the game.
I loved how the cats chased the mice haha that was awesome. Unique game, shame it wasn't related to theme very much. The cats were very lifelike as I had tremendous trouble keeping them where I wanted them!
What an experience! I'm speechless!
That was a spooky little adventure :). I enjoyed the writing in this, especially the lady in the pond with her poems. Very imaginative! The background music was good for the atmosphere and was enjoyable to listen to. Game was intuitive to play. Good job!
Interesting game with some solid music! I guess I would have liked some more gameplay features, just dodging the same red triangles got a little repetitive. Sound effects were nice and the gameplay was simple yet with some learning curve.
Lovely graphics, sfx and music. The gameplay is super simple and as such gets a little repetitive quick. Nevertheless, a solid execution of the idea. Also fits the theme quite well. I made it to 11 days. Good job!
Cool idea! The WebGL build was slightly stuttery for me but it was still playable and not super distracting. The game got hard fast. The graphics look amazing and the sound effects are very enjoyable. I guess the game could have used a longer ease in period since it got a little hard too fast for me and there was quite much information visible from the very start. Idea and execution was nevertheless super well done!
Wow that was fun! I liked the challenge. The music was super cool and the dungeon was nicely designed. Would be nicer if the music didn't reset every time health runs out so I could hear more of it. Loved the final boss, was able to cheese it by just running circles around it :D.
Terrific game with an amazing level of polish. Loved the tutorial, the backstory and gameplay. I wish there was a way to skip / speed up the ghost movement after death, some levels really made me die a lot and waiting for retry was the worst :D. The music and graphics were also top notch. I guess the level progression was a little confusing since some of the earlier levels felt far harder to me than for example the last level! Anyhow, good job!
Difficult game. I spent at least 20 minutes playing it. The gameplay was slick and the feel of the game very engaging. I think figuring out the order was a little too much of a chore, since it was mostly trial and error. Lovely music & sound effects. Good job!
I kept destroying the Earth. I would have liked some easier to hit enemies to begin with because I had real trouble killing even ten of the aliens đ. Cool sounds & graphics and the gameplay was smooth. Perhaps a background music track would add to the experience. Fits the theme well. Good job!
What I liked: - graphics - sounds - advice from that Johnny Deep guy - The effects when turning the world around
What I didn't care too much for: - How hard it was to wrap my head around where I was. I couldn't figure out where I was supposed to go next
Awesome game!
Well I managed to get rich. And not die trying. I loved the atmosphere here, the music & sounds really brought this game together! The game movement was a little janky. Graphics were pretty as well.
This was terrific! I loved how the different systems interact. You have the radar for combat and the window for maintaining balance. Really felt like a space pilot, hehe. Chill music & fitting sfx work well with the nifty pixel art graphics.
Issues: - WebGL fullscreen results in a full black screen and a small window the size of the original webgl window on the page. - A tutorial / demo mode without a time limit would be nice to learn the ropes. The controls are just a little difficult and it's frustrating trying to learn them while dying to the time limit.
Those issues aside, what a cool game! That radar effect where the terrain only shows when being pinged is so beautiful! I love the sound design as well.
I think the game maybe crashed after I killed the boss and tried to go down the ladder. Nothing happens and the controls are frozen.
The game had lots of features, as you said very Binding of Isaac-like. Would have benefited from some audio.
Cool music and sounds but the perspective was supper difficult to follow for a platformer for this. I liked the transparent effects for objects close to camera and the graphics were pretty nice. I suppose the odd perspective wasn't too bad because the game wasn't too hard.
The story had heart and was well written. I didn't enjoy having to stand at the exact right position to interact with the grass you could walk through. Other than that I had no issues. I reaaally liked the "you found" sound. It was really enjoyable. Cool game!
Wonderful game! It was frustrating at times but it kept me playing. Great game design with the upgrades, how they become more expensive, how you can always choose... Pleasant musical score and sound effects.
The movement & trap placement felt a little odd at first but I managed to get the hang of it eventually. Would have been cool to have a shop from which you could buy a faster pickaxe for example with the gold. That the goblins have spawners underground as well was a nice touch. The mood of the game really suffers from lack of audio. A solid little mining game.
Such a cute game. The digging sound fits well. I liked that you had multiple enemy types and a shop. Moving the dog feels a little off, as if sliding on ice. All in all, a good game!
This was ultra cute! I thought it would be short but the second level & the boss fight surprised me. I really liked that they gathered around to hang out in the end :3.
Fitting music and sfx. The rabbit was very cute. Movement was a bit janky and the sounds & music were choppy for some reason but I had no bugs or bigger troubles with the game. All in all a solid little platformer.
Neat roguelite game but it gets stale quite fast. The music track could have been a few bars longer also. I liked the man-made sounds and the dying animation of the enemies.
Impressive selection of 3D models for a compo game. Even the powerups are 3D! The progression is a somewhat slow and completely random which makes replayability suffer. There is no gameplay strategy other than kiting the enemies and holding down the shoot button. I thought the soundtrack was unobtrusive and fit the game nicely. Same with the sound effects. I didn't notice any bugs. Nice one!
Nice polish on the sounds and visuals.
Controls feel very responsive; this is aided by the tight audio design. The graphics look good. I think the gameplay could use some more depth but what there is works very well.
Awesome game. Progression is well balanced and the gameplay is challenging but you can learn different strategies to make it easier. Just missing a music track to make give it some more atmosphere. My fav entry so far!

Funny take on the theme. Kinda has some Benjamin Button vibes... I didn't like the platforming very much but I thought the graphics and sfx was cool and I liked the idea.
Nice concept but I felt like the control was a little finicky. If I happened to let it bend to far there was no way to get it back, not even by very sudden movements. Cool sfx & music and nice minimalistic presentation.
Hopeless. This is hell. Imagine having to run back and forth all day every 9 seconds just to keep the world from destroying. Well done đ.
Cool that you managed such a large amount of 3D assets for a compo entry! It was very hard to gather wood since most of the boxes were so far away. I had a good laugh at the guy cowering in fear within his hovel.
Wow that's a lot of quality music for a compo entry! The graphics are very good also. It doesn't feel like a jam game with the amount of polish it has. Gameplaywise it's a good game but a little too easy. You should fail faster and the game should progress to the higher humidity rate faster. The controls work perfectly though and all the UI is done so it's instantly understandable for the player what they have to do. Well done.
For a game jam game, the physics in this game break surprisingly little. I love driving fast over a bridge and soaring through the air. Whenever the truck falls it starts spinning wildly when getting up again, which is great fun! Sunday traffic and all the jams the player causes makes the game world feel more alive. Graphics are well done, the low poly style fits this type of game well. Nothing bad to say about the sounds but there could be more of them, for example while driving over all the debris.
Loved this! Gave me such anxiety trying to juggle three balls hahaha. The wind spell was the easiest one. This game just works, there is nothing wrong with it at all. Cool how you managed to include achievements as well. Very well done.
It's very hard to get your head around. Maybe the game could start off with an empty field and you could go from there. Also the multiple cars add to the confusion. Other than that it's a very interesting idea.
lslslslslslslslslslslslslsls
Well written and voice acted. What is a game anyway?
Cute game with excellent visuals & sound design. The gameplay is quite shallow but everything works very well.
Funny game! The pushing mechanic feels very wild since the stuff you're pushing is spinning very fast and sometimes the camera makes it flash in and out of vision (maybe you could fix this a little by adjusting the camera clip plane). I love the setting of not trying to anger the volcano god. And the Katamari Damacy mechanic works very well!
I loved the feeling, visuals and sound. Gameplay was a little simple to be honest but the concept was funny and interesting.
Cool game. I liked how you made top-down strategy controls simple and effective. Sound effects could have used some extra work but it was better to have them than not. The aliens got me eventually!
There is something very charming about a sheet wanting to move the boat along and a lazy guy trying to mooch off the hard work the sheet is doing. Fun game and the mechanics work well, even if it's a little confusing at times. I appreciate the work you've done on the sounds and music, they really bring out the atmosphere!
Cool game, I wish there was something else to do after I did all my upgrades. Could be a nice start for a full-blown game!
Loved the somber feeling in this game. Everything feels hard to do because the movement is so slow and the rain & lighting gives a hopeless feeling. It's all very fitting. Nice one.
Nicely done @antti-haavikko .
It could use some ui pointers as to what's happening. It's sometimes hard to know what's going on with the powerups. After learning the controls it becomes neat, I hope you expand on the idea with some polish!
Addictive entry! The balance is great and it's fun to try different builds. My only complaint is that the bfxr sounds are a little noisy and especially when multiple enemies are hit by once by the spell my ears hurt. Super solid entry!
It's so polished it feels more like a demo of an actual game than a jam game. It controls so well and the graphics & sfx are top notch quality. I loved trying to find all the gems, lots of em are tucked behind nooks and crannies and you really have to try to find them all!
Quality game as expected! There is so much polish here it's a breeze to play. My only complaint is this game lets me know how bad I am at typing!
I think I'm going to take a gander at the source to see how you did that font wave effect... I'd like to steal it đ.
I liked the graphics. The music was very chaotic! Perhaps paired with some sound effects it could have been less so. It's really neat each plant had multiple states of growth.
Terrific presentation! Graphics & sfx work well together. I would have appreciated a tutorial. I tried packing the field with wheat and then didn't manage to harvest them at all đ .
It's a little finicky to know when to hide, when to harvest etc. Otherwise I like the framing of the game and how it's more of a story than just mechanics.
Good juice in the game but there is basically no challenge. Hard to go fast because if you plant the harder flowers & user the bigger guns the game lags like crazy and just makes you go slow (in real time). With some optimization techniques like bigger coins (1, 5, 10, etc.), object pooling, ecs, etc. would make this much more fun to play.
The graphics & sfx was well done, the sfx was a bit loud sometimes if you picked up a lot of coins.
Simple to play. The upgrades are addictive. Too bad there's no sounds! I liked the little "particle" effects when harvesting & in the fuel & energy bar UI.
It's like a cookie clicker clone but masquerading as a farming sim. At the end I wished for even faster harvest... I wanted it to see it go BRR!! Lovely entry.
We were planning on making something similar! Interesting to see your take on it. The multiple harvester levels were especially interesting, given the "replay" mechanic. Could have used some sfx to spice up the mood.
Took a while to learn you can fix the horn. That helped tremendously! Kind of a nice challenge to try to control two vehicles at the same time. For some reason the sounds were super loud, had to turn down my volume to something like 4/100. Neat that you let players change controls, you don't see that often in a jam game!

Cute game with tight controls. With some polishing it could be a solid platformer!
*You're a godsend. A savior!*
*No, I'm... I'm just the Postman.*
I enjoyed the setting and the atmosphere. Good work on the music! Platforming was quite good. Shooting was a little here and there but still serviceable. Those are some juicy looking hearts.
Lots of juice in this one. The shooting part is a little frustrating but a hit is very satisfying. I appreciate that you had two different music tracks, one for after you crash and the main theme. A very solid entry all in all.
I was furiously spamming the arrow keys to move as fast as possible. That was kinda fun its own right haha. It was a nice experience, getting stronger with the new weapons. It was slightly annoying that I had to go back every time I had three nuts. Maybe if more shortcuts were to open as you progress it would be less of a problem. Also I wish you had some sounds and music to give the game more atmosphere. But I liked it, no bugs and the graphics looked neat :):
Geat game and I really appreciate the way it's written. I wish there was more difficulty to it though. The game starts very slow and never really gets hard. If the difficulty ramped up faster and there was more of the game it would be awesome! And with some scoring system. But right now it's already great, the graphics gameplay and sfx are all very well done.
I really liked the gameplay and managed to finish it. The game looks and sounds great. I'm not sure how I feel about using a combination of original music made for the game and someone else's compositions (intro Ghibli song & end credits Beatles song) and still having audio rating. It all works very well though!
Looks and sounds like the real thing. The controls are tight and fair. I managed to die a lot :D. Perhaps not the most original thing but everything is well executed.
There was much thought put into the writing which I appreciate. What was missing was some sort of challenge. Currently it felt much more like a story where the choices appeared matter but ultimately didn't. Not to say I didn't enjoy my time :). The graphics and audio were top notch!
Like in real life I find it impossible to navigate without modern technology. So I was lost constantly in this game. What I'm saying is that a minimap would be swell!
Great success on all other fronts though. There's a slight learning curve to the controls but I think they're quite good. Consistent simple graphics and UI. I think you made the sfx with your mouth. You should make the music in the same way!
It's a great foundation for a real game. Currently the strategy element is very shallow but understandably so since it's a jam game. It's very impressive for such a short development time though and the UI and audio design are top notch. I would have liked to see a little more technical details on how the different stats of the characters affect the result, like seeing the battles happen instead of just hearing the result :).
This oozes personality. The gameplay is not distracting but serves as a great vessel for the story. I was fully invested. There is a serious street crime problem in hell! Love it!
This game had a lot of going on. There's the unconventional movement where the train has to obey the train tracks but can still choose which way to turn. Then there's the build mode that adds complexity to the movement. And then there's the procedurally generated map! Quite a good combination of mechanics. I really enjoyed it.
There is some stuttering with the camera in WebGL.
Cool game with some deep mechanics! It could use some tweaks to the controls & game juice. Loved the music and sound effects.
Once I got the hang of it was quite pleasant. Just needed some more variety and perhaps a music track. The collision feature was great, I did some flips in the air and managed to get back on track :D.
I have spent 5035 hours on this but the last patch the dev released added a change that ruins my strategy. Please bring back price tag on the bag. I can't play without it. Leaving negative review until dev fixes.
I don't think I've laughed out loud to a jam game before but this one hit the spot. Lovely game and the gameplay itself got harder little by little which was very cool!
What a sweet mischievous goblin! I think the tutorial should have had the same setup as the main game. For a while I was confused where the pile of coal was in the real game :D. But eventually I figured it out. I think the game looks and sounds very good and the gameplay itself works fine but the possible strategies are a little shallow. The production values are so good though that it could be like an older actual flash game. Nicely done!
Very juicy gameplay. A little stress inducing though haha. There's not much I found to critique. Graphics and sound effects work together well. I suppose the ringtone could be something less annoying but it works in the spirit of the game :D.
This game is too good for a jam game. Nothing stands out as sub-par in it. My only gripe is that it makes me realize I suck at games :D.
Smooth game! Who wrote the music? They're all such bangers!
It is a little confusing at first because there is no grid and I didn't realize why ghosts would appear (my 3 gravestones were slightly apart). But after understanding the rules it's a nice little tetris style game :).
Cool twist on the survivors genre. Really like the use of light & darkness.
A nice and functional little puzzler. The audio is catchy and graphics look clean. It's not a very innovative but a solid entry nonetheless! I managed finish it, could have used some more challenging levels and a couple of more features :).
Terrific game! It's really hard :D. I managed to get to round 8. Really loved how the sfx tied in with the soundtrack. Also most often I got through a level by letting a big ball form on the other side and then I would collect it once it got big enough.
Fun game. Does not teach responsible parking though :D. I liked the mood with the cute graphics & sfx. Could be a little harder though since now you can just go to the next level no matter your score!
I love cellular automata. Did you use any common ruleset?
You have a knack for writing. I thoroughly enjoyed the story. Also the dialogue system was cool!
Very crisp visuals & sound design! I found the gameplay a little chaotic but maybe that's just me, I just kept on summoning each type of demon in order. It's a very polished entry!
It's very well done but the difficulty ramps up pretty fast. Perhaps it could start with just two lanes instead of four? Graphics are very cute and the sfx is serviceable. The game is instantly understandable and playable which is no small feat!
I liked the circular summon thingy. As others have noted, the difficulty could ramp up a little faster. Also I found it a little confusing that the "it's time" button was there but it's basically a "lose now" button unless you have enough power. And how to know? Trial and error. Also, I really liked the art!
Nice work on a solo 3D game! The car controls work very differently from what one expects. Usually you have a key that makes your car go towards the direction its headed and you steer with the direction keys. Here it goes north when you press W, east when you press D and so on. It's quite unintuitive. Also I wanted to drive over the zombies. But they make me lose health! That's also kind of not what I expected from a car game. The graphics are well done and I really appreciate that you made some music and sounds. A lot of entries don't have any music or even sfx!
Such a chill game! I enjoyed the progression (Range is OP) and the atmosphere (the spirits & their sounds) the most. It could have used some variety, like some dead plants maybe could have required a certain level of Restoration for example. Anyway it's a very solid package as it is.
Screenshot 2024-04-18 103722.png
I really love the classic GTA games so this was a blast! I appreciate that the DJ says the name of the station in the middle of the song haha. And the mumbling sound of the quest giver . The car is crazy! I was basically doing one taps on the W and S keys because otherwise the car would go way too fast. Cool entry, makes me want to create a GTA1 demake hehe.
I managed to summon the hand but then didn't get any further. I could not figure out what to do even though I flew around the rooms for 5 minutes. A very frustrating experience. It's an interesting idea but the game should have more hints, maybe an optional guide?
Very hard to get into! Glad I was able to rebind keys. Although the tutorial didn't seem to display those rebound keys.
Terrific game! Loved the quips. Sadly I am bad at these sorts of games and didn't manage to beat my opponents. But I had fun doing it!
Simple strategy game that is very easy to understand and play. Nicely done. I think it would benefit from slightly more thought out art & sfx. Also it is sometimes hard to tell who attacks who. So maybe the ranged characters should shoot little projectiles.
Could use some UI improvements. Like highlighting resources that already have a worker. Or showing which worker is selected. And so on. But other than that it's a solid resource gathering / worker manager game.
I thought the concept was great and the sound effects were superb in making it feel like it was actually night. The game looks simple yet good. But the mechanics are very difficult. I couldn't figure out the level with two straight lights out. I think it was called "gap crossing". Anyway I really liked the game until I got stuck there :).
I really liked the art. Controlling the units was smooth. Pathfinding and selecting is easy. UI-wise it was a little hard to grasp if you don't read the instructions carefully. I would have liked a timer for the food and some alarm clocks when it was close to death. And maybe a zoom for the map. A lot of moving parts for a game jam! The music fit the game well and didn't become grating during playthrough.
It's super hectic to try to hit those flies while the frog is in the air. It's a great concept and the presentation is cute. Sadly I did not end up on the leaderboards đ .
Terrific game! I was hooked from beginning to end. The progression is very satisfying and the art and sfx feel so crisp. I especially liked the way the sword worked against multiple enemies. It gave a nice skill aspect to the whole thing.
The art is seriously so well done I really like the aesthetic. I think the bugs spawning everywhere was very annoying, I thought I had finished with a room and the inspector had a bug spawn right under his nose đ . I guess you need to walk ahead of the inspector and stomp any bugs you see.
I love the extra word sounds đ. The concept is simple and it's so easy to play. Loved it.
Wow those goblins are really smol. It's a funny concept but the gameplay is a little wonky. The art is really pretty and it's fun to kick those goblins around :).
I am so bad at geography. But playing a game like this might make me better at it. It's all very well executed and I love the little jumping around animation the hunter does. I wonder why sometimes there is no country detected even though it's land I'm landing on? Took me a while to realize the "hint" letters don't have to be in order.
Ah I see that makes sense!
It's admirable that you took on a completely new board game during a compo! I can't tell if it's compelling between two people but I can say it was a little too easy against the computer. Although I can't even imagine how much work it would be to create a proper AI opponent.
I liked the little sounds the frogs make and the art is very cute.
I thought the turn rate was a tad bit too high but that was the only thing I didn't like. The toy soldier aesthetic works very well for this sort of a game. The audio effects are great and the music is suitable if simple. I felt like a real trooper when I was assaulting the enemy headquarters. I wish there was more ammo but I should just get better. Maybe a bonus level after the game where you have infinite ammo and infinite enemies? It's so much fun to just blast away.
The rules were a little difficult to figure out but once it clicked it was quite fun to build a creature factory with big numbers đ¤Š
I really like how seamlessly the snail switches from one platform to the next. You managed to implement a complex gameplay mechanic in a way that it feels intuitive and simple. Just doing that could take the whole weekend! The game itself is a little too easy but it's very understandable.
It's so satisfying to see and hear all of those lil' blue guys go. Lovely concept and great execution!
It's very easy to pick up and play. I like the powerups although the movement speed one tends to make the turret go too fast after a few times you pick it up. The music is great, it has this joyous feeling to it. Nice one!
It's very cute and cool but there's not much game here. The stylistic choices are very interesting but I think you should still list the keys somewhere đ . I had to come here to check the comments to see what keys to use.
I liked how the game looks and sounds. Once I got the timing right I managed to get foot stomping on the blocks. I think there could be some more variety in the game, like you need to get the foot to hit specific color block etc. Nevertheless it's a cute game with an interesting mechanic.
It's a little fiddly to control so many creatures at once. But what beautiful creatures! I love the face they make when they set about to lift a stone. I also thought of soot sprites when the theme was announced but decided against it. It's fun to see people actually pay homage to Spirited Away :).
Awesome game! I love the soundtrack and the art is very pretty too. At times using a mouse the balloon wouldn't release without doing a click afterwards which was a little annoying. Probably it would work better on mobile :).
The story is a bit silly but also sort of endearing. Moving the creatures really feels like a chore but it fits the story well because they truly are helpless little dummies đ .
This must be the cutest game I've seen this jam. Originally I thought there was no challenge here but the later levels really needed some thinking. I like the art and sounds and everything works well and intuitively which is awesome.
It's pretty inventive and actually quite fun! I wish there were more levels. My strat with the blue blobs was to click so you could keep them in the air. The art has a charm to it. Would be a fun game released with a level editor!
I think the music is great. But it doesn't feel like it's made for this game. There's a lot going on in this game and there's an impressive amount of mechanics at play. The platforming doesn't feel quite right but the swinging and the ropes are very nicely done.
It's much fun! I though the enemies could be a little faster. I never felt them threaten me even without any movement upgrades. The harder difficulty was a nice touch although it was quite easy as well when you got the proper first two upgrades. I liked the soundtrack & sfx also.
@notredamstra did you manage to get into the elevator from the roof? Press E / Space to open doors and activate the elevator :)
