I guess this answers the question of how many ant-sized goblins I could take in a fight

@daflamingpotato :laughing: thanks so much for playing.
A fun little game. I have never kicked that much before. Well done.
окурочки прикольно нападают :3
Kicking tiny creatures is very satisfying!
This was really fun! I thinkt he art style is so charming lol !
At fist I thought I was kicking flies :laughing: I like the art style.
Kick em up!
The character's color pallete reminded a lot of the fallout's vault boy lol. I liked the idea, a tad difficult to kick where you want, since you walk fast, but i liked how you can kick lots of them at once
A simple action game with a simple art style but very effective, I wish there were more attacks against this little thing
As my grandpa said: "Kicking goblins is always morally correct".
Keep them coming, as I live prepared.
friend, very funny concept of kicking little goblins, and the main advantage is that the game is short and you won't have time to get bored with it, you're great, good job.
nice! a little variation on the attacks would have been nice
simple yet funny and enjoyable :heart:
@jk5000, @wren-erickson, @spritesurge, and @tete thanks and thanks for playing :)
@@maksim-shalaev :laughing:
@sdcorpse thanks for playing :) It was meant to be a "bird 'em up" where you punched birds.. but it turned into this.
@satless thanks for playing :) I have a habit of making controls too fast - I'll slow it down a bit as I tweak it / keep working on it post dare.
@1finiteloop and @bromakesgames thanks for playing. I had more (animated and coded in) but didn't include them 'cause I didn't get time to put in the extra enemy types I had planned.
@chusmimax, @jeiji, and @itstimothy999 - thanks heaps and thanks for playing :)
I like the concept of going to work all dressed up and getting surprise attacked by tiny goblins. It has a charming art style, I especially like the death pose and also the kick. Feels like the player is not your typical hero but more of a 9 to 5 guy. If you like to develop it further it would be cool to lean into this even more. Perhaps he has a vanilla latte that he can pour on the goblins :smile:
@stoicgoose thanks heaps and thanks for playing :) The images I searched to base the death pose on were.. interesting. That's an excellent suggestion thanks - I'll keep it in mind when I put more work in post-dare.
Had fun, character kind of looks like me and I'm always getting attacked by goblins on my way to work so it felt very real. A little repetitive but I still played through the whole thing and was hoping for more. Thanks for the game.
@trusty haha thanks heaps and thanks for playing :) I had variety planned but ran out of time. I think I'll work on it more post-rating time.
That was short but fun and relaxing, i like the story-telling between levels. The kick animation is strange and stop your movement in air, i think that's a choice, if the character walked like a moonwalk that remembered me the mickael jacson "moonwalker" game. hqrr720.jpg
Damn goblins always making me late. I expected a platformer but it was fun that it was more of a classic beat 'em up which I don't see that often. A bit janky and short but still quite fun to kick some goblins.
Highly relatable, and I love the graphics. Some goblins stop moving towards me at some point, for the better as there was a shitload of them, and it doesn't really matter.
It reminded me of *Another World* (also known as *Out of This World* in North America), especially the initial part where you have to kick small snakes. This time, though, they're little goblins! The music feels a bit repetitive to me, but aside from that minor detail, what I like the most is the gameplay. I'm serious, it’s really hard to implement kicks in a way that feels satisfying, and this game nails it! The timing when executing the kick and how the character pauses afterward is very well done. It's a solid entry, especially considering it's a Compo format. Great game!
This is the funniest compo game I've played so far. The contrast between the super aggressive goblin attacks and the pathetic little kick to one-shot them is hilarious.
Cool, I didn't expect a street fighter clone! The controls were smooth and I think the graphics are stylish and consistent.
Kicking a ton of them at once and then seeing their mangled corpses on the road felt pretty satisfying :D
The game is really smooth. Maybe a bit short, as it ends rather abruptly, but still pretty enjoyable. Good stuff!
Wow those goblins are really smol. It's a funny concept but the gameplay is a little wonky. The art is really pretty and it's fun to kick those goblins around :).
@robowarrior1982 thanks for playing :) I'd animated (well.. drew) air attacks but never bothered to put them in since I ran out of time to put in the air enemies. Never played moonwalker I should check it out.
@silkworm-sweatshop and @kr4ft3r thanks and thanks for playing :)
Very simple but very fun, I like the graphics despite being so schematic, I think it works very well. At first I thought I was being attacked by cockroaches until the truth was revealed to me at the end of the game, it just feels so good to kill the goblins.
Wow! The game is so wonderful! I can play this 10 hours straihgt! Keep making games!
