LD50 — Delay the inevitable

Aeldun 20.000 by oillen 2023-10-02T23:55:44Z

Fun and interesting, but oh boy does the economy of the game absolutely break midgame.

Blockage by Dis0rder 2022-04-12T23:03:29Z

Unsettling and genuinely unique. Easy to recommend for those who like creepy styled games. Audio was also on point.

Maybe the gameplay itself stands a bit behind the other aspects, but after all, it shouldn't be taken into account as the individual element, but as the full experience it helps to build up.

MOTH by Beefsock 2022-04-05T16:59:57Z

This was actually impressive. Not what I expected, but in a good way. It felt nice to play, clean and with a clear sense of what it wanted to do. (On a side note, the moths around the lamp makes me want to stay there expecting. Am I one of them?)

Protect The Light by Untitled Studios 2022-04-06T18:41:08Z

Amazing game. It knows what it wants to be and every decision enhances the end result. Concise tutorial, ingame and cleverly display, no walls of text.

I could only find one thing that was making it a bit frustrating at times, and it's the fact that i couldn't not take the lamp if I got too close, too close and i picked it and doomed myself, too far and i was worthless.

Still, really impressive.

Torchero by Slowline 2022-04-06T17:36:39Z

Seems like I became too powerful for my own sake, as playing with controller I got into a button spamming frenzy where the only thing that could stop me was the fps drops when I started filling everything with gems,

I really ship the game, I was a bit sceptic at first but ended having lots of fun making my gamepad losing functionality of the X button.

A few things I think could be improved: - Gamepad controls: Go completely into it. Main menu can't be navigated with pad, and I couldn't find a way to change weapons with pad either. Which is a shame, as I enjoyed the game way more as i started spamming on controller. - Find what makes gems slow down the game, I sometimes have to risk it all in a risky maneuver as if I just leave to gain some time, gems will make me drop to 1fps, dire times. - It might be my own wrongdoing, but I couldn't find a use for torches and similar. I mean, I already had a club, it seemed like smacking my enemies into the ground was more time efficient, a true Strength based build.

I hope these don't come as too harsh of critics, as I said before, I actually enjoyed the game.

Too Cute for Space Fights by YogurtTheHorse 2022-04-05T01:15:29Z

Really nice looking with tight controls. You start working on a spaceship and end up on a cheese grater, recomended.

Only Hugh Can Prevent Forest Fires by bixarrio 2022-04-06T18:19:58Z

I really like how intense the music sounds for how little we are achieving. But it was neat and the animations were smooth.

As other have said, promps got me a bit confused in the beggining, it you want them to be visible even when not possible to interact with (as a tip), you should consider maybe a dimmer color for those instances, so people know it possible, but not right now.

Rage Against The Cocoon by JoeDev 2022-04-06T17:51:57Z

Fun to play and an interesting concept. I'm genuinely impressed with how well the body grips onto things and works. The only thing that made it a bit frustrating for me was the camera/ movement combo, that lead me into some situations I absolutely couldn't decipher what direction i had to press to keep going forwards.

Doomsday Deviant's Date by ProbeProb 2022-04-05T16:51:10Z

I tried to use a controller, sadly the although the movement is mapped, the actions aren't.

So I swapped to keyboard, and it was pretty fun actually, way more than I initially expected

Chronos by Plixel 2022-04-05T16:30:08Z

Short but cool game. The puzzles kind of remind me of Helltaker (gameplay wise). The concept is neat and i can see the idea being expanded upon.

Cup Half Full by BangTheWall 2022-04-05T00:18:45Z

I've had my fair chance of reimagined tetris games, yet, this one feels genuinely fun. Smart decisions that lead to a absolutely different experience from the original.

And once i thought i was free to go, I find out that you have implemented a scoreboard. That's a really vile thing to do... But I guess work deadlines are not as close as they appear to.

Leaf the Ghost behind by BiOs3008 2022-04-05T00:56:15Z

This one is interesting. Clearly inspired in Paper Mario. I enjoy the audio and where the visual ideas are going.

The front and background invisible walls are absolute momentum killers. Touch one mid air and you will fall completely down, this mixed with the little use of the actual 3D space makes is best played like a 2D platformer with very few places where changing depth is actually required.

Dilate the time! by milq 2022-04-05T00:05:23Z

Controls feels tight and the idea is pretty neat. The fixed Lerp acceleration really shows its true potential.

It really makes you think how this idea could be expanded in a bigger scope project.

Dilate the time! by milq 2022-04-09T17:39:27Z

dilatethetime.png I'm getting there, just wait for me. This isn't even my final score

Hungry Bird by GameDevAlexandr 2022-04-05T16:40:15Z

Neat game based on flappy bird. Taking three bugs of the same colour seems to difficult and chance based to feel worth it, but the game is fun to play a few of quick games

Strangling by josep93 2022-04-12T21:46:50Z

@dis0rder I'm glad you like the game. It's a shame you got stuck there several times. There is a specific bug that depending on play style might happen really often or not at all... and the few of us that tested it were more of the not at all bunch.

Anyway, I have an idea on where the bug resides and how to tackle it. But due to time constrains I haven't been able to get into it yet.

LD53 — Delivery

Sails by ping78 2023-05-06T01:10:56Z

There are some really neat things I liked: procedural map (done with a random noise map maybe?), the looks, the feel. Great job.

One thing that took me longer than expected is how to get out of the port. I didn't think of "just move fowards" while I had a shop menu in front of me.

Also, sea shanties... I get it, you did it alone, time was not on your side... but come on, sea shanties are a must. If anyone who is reading this hasn't played yet, you know what to have playing on another browser window while playing.

Carriers by paulhocker 2023-05-03T03:17:25Z

I liked it, and I thought I wouldn't. It doesn't get too complex or anything, easy to grasp.

Mood is on point and pigeons are always a plus for me.

NICE DELIVERY INC! by unima9000 2023-05-03T20:35:27Z

Neat frenetic game that reminds me of Neon White. Really fun to play, but I would kill for a dash button.

Faking It by Hannah 2023-05-02T22:27:11Z

That was actually impressive. Being human every day nonstop, I sometimes forget how difficult it is to be one. This game renewed my empathy for human wannabes and made me a new person.

Jokes aside, truly one of the jam surprises

Too Hot to Hendl by Fis 2023-05-04T01:35:23Z

Really cool game. Some of the latter levels pitfalls that feel a bit frustrating (having to do again everything to a point for a softlock you couldn't see coming) but really fun overall.

Also, I love the last level, embrace the bugs, become one with them.

Fertility Island by Tomáš Selmeci 2023-05-01T23:34:18Z

I should have read the description in this page before messing with the roofing of all the neighbourhood. I liked it, but I personally would have loved a way to get info of the target house faster, if you go for high scores, you can do little but roam around until the third tip is given. Come on bird, say it already, there are babies to deliver and the timer is going down.

Record: 6 babies so far

Postman Parcel Panic by J0ye 2023-05-06T02:30:44Z

It reminds me to chu chu rocket, and I have wasted to much time on that one not to like this one.

I would say it needs some rng mitigation, sometimes it's brutal, and having only 3 choices, and one choice reroll per use... Maybe it is just me, maybe the game just hates me.

Fantasy Retail Simulator by snesgaard 2023-05-06T17:21:13Z

Neat game, Orcs asking for wine instead of beer, that a strange sight, but fun nonetheless.

Drunk is not the difficulty, but how you feel after a successful run.

Swallow Express by Tomssuli 2023-05-06T00:54:43Z

A swallow carrying a coconut? Unfeasible for an European swallow, it must be an African swallow then. (Someone might get it... I wish... I hope).

Also, I decided tu borrow myself underground in one of the last deliveries so I had to redo everything to reach the ending. The game was fun but I really did not want to lose all progress so far into the game.

Great Race of Mercy by Dexort 2023-05-05T04:54:53Z

There was not much to do, but I felt comfortable with the controller, which is actually an achievement.

I know time is our main enemy, so instead of "more content", i'll leave a tip which wouldn't take much to implement: If you recommend using controller instead of keyboard and mouse, make everything accesible from the controler, this includes main manu (Which is only accesible pressing esc), and and starting the game from the controller(If you use unity UI, call the focus tothe first button on start of the scene and if a button is pressed when no button has focus).

Man with a Van by kankje 2023-05-05T04:39:54Z

I'm really sorry citizens, god doesn't allow me to get more than 3 vans, you'll have to wait a bit longer. But worry not, as we are making the vans increasingly faster with little to no concern for our workers.

I really liked it. Still..., isn't the storage upgrade a bit underwhelming?

An Ocean Planet by JamieOK 2023-05-03T03:01:06Z

Neat game. It might not have been the intended gameplay but I was drifting through loops just for style points. The ending caught me distracted so I had to finish the game again to read it.

Deviler by Antonin Browne 2023-05-04T02:59:41Z

Really fun and it looks great. For some reason I wouldn't earn boost on restart (on time version).

I tried it because the screenshots reminded me for some reason to old carmageddon, and I was pleasantly surprised with the gameplay.

Little Oni by chris1919 2023-05-06T19:37:36Z

I really liked this one, deserved high critics.

Just one thing, if you throw the baby before touching the goal, you will lose control of the samurai and lose (Deserved, I'm a dumbass), but the thing is you also lose the checkpoint, so... hey... your playthrough has one more level.

Pizza Time by Macbarette 2023-05-02T00:21:24Z

Fun puzzle game. The gimmick hasn't been overdone before, so it still feels fresh. It is also worth noting that the levels have some love put into them and doesn't feel like filler, but as well thought ones.

Lonely Train by Zeit 2023-05-06T17:36:52Z

Well, that was a pleasant surprise in every single way. I'll try to get to the end later (charles is relentless with me), but man, did this game feel fresh in all ways.

Apocalypse Prime by ADerpyChickenStudios 2023-05-03T04:32:29Z

Why do you do this to me? I got my crazy taxi problem solved just for you to make me fall back in.

Fun game, easy to grasp and fast to play. (Also, nothing says gamejam like an options button in the main menu that does nothing at all, I'm not blaming, I just wanted to say that I understand it)

Frogivio by milq 2023-05-02T22:01:28Z

Nice gimmick and cool puzzles. Physics don't always seem to agree with my expectations, but i would argue that's part of the fun. Really enjoyable overall.

Pour and drink by Ikvelibrium 2023-05-05T05:07:54Z

Neat concept, reminds me of VA-11 Ha11-A. Recipes changing on restart caught me off-guard.

Yet, I would say the music track is too short and the loop breaks a bit the mood ambience.

Super Buffed Delivery Service by josep93 2023-05-06T20:48:55Z

@the-neon-shark Yeah... we couldn't get on time a balance between "noticeable and gamebreaking" and "discrete but useful", so we went with the second one.

We didn't want it to be "If you fail a parry hell breaks loose", so having no more time to solve it, it ended up as subtle speed modifications if you parry or you don't.

3rd level is unwinnable without parries, you land too early.

Parcel Larceny by amarokczukay 2023-05-01T23:20:19Z

At some point the character should ask himself if crime really pays. Maybe he doesn't care, and only did because he had fun with it as I did. Some decisions are odd, like how the police has no spatial memory (you cease to exist for them if you reach home), but if that is the price for the game mechanics to work, so be it.

The Magnificent Tale of Knight Heighden's Delivery Adventure Across her Homeland by TildeCat 2023-05-02T23:14:38Z

For some reason I can't seem to open the game again. I finished it, I was going to say it needed an inventory, I saw there was one at the bottom when i checked some screenshots (It was my bad, it was out of focus on my screen), but I couldn't check it out again, it just won't load for me again.

So the only thing I can say is: Play it on full screen mode, learn from my mistakes. (The loading thing is probably itch.io not withstanding the load of work)

A mailman's nightmare! by Nature Pixels 2023-05-06T02:46:31Z

I can't get the game to play as in the trailer, if I click LMB to shoot, it shoots but also zooms a lot, making it near impossible to aim. ¿Could be something about specs incompatibility?

(After checking again, it only happens with the last version, cool game, I played older versions)

A mailman's nightmare! by Nature Pixels 2023-05-06T16:06:12Z

@nature-pixels let me try again in some time, it was late so I couldn't get myself to finish it.

A mailman's nightmare! by Nature Pixels 2023-05-06T17:13:53Z

I have played again both versions and beat the boss in the v1.1.

Really cool, but enemy bullets need more contrast with the background, sometimes I can't see what hits me. Having an outline in the enemy bullet sprites should do wonders.

The polish is a nice idea, the problem is that sometimes it looks like this when I shoot. gj.png

For some reason, it is not well centered, and in some directions I can't even see myself when I'm shooting (I still have to dodge)

Forklift Certification Program by fries 2023-05-05T04:22:42Z

First I get forklift certified, then I become a menace legally. After having tipped over everything in a record time, I understand that I am not to be allowed close to anything able to move a cardboard box.

Death, Signed and Sealed by TheTalkingFist 2023-05-02T02:36:50Z

I don't want to be harsh, but here are a few important things. - Easy difficulty has too many enemies while the player feels too slow, I could barely move with all the retaliation ghosts pushing me in every direction. - The attack feels too slow for the pace of the game. If you want it to be slow but still feel responsive, you can implement a "hold and release" mechanic. - I know there is no much time to implement it, but practically any tutorial is better than a wall of text, even better if it is playable. Reading 3 pages of text before you even get into the game makes it REALLY difficult to grasp. - Place more trees in the invisible walls, they look traversable.

All of this being said, I hope you had a really good time working on the jam. It is a tiresome and ruthless experience, even more the first time, but it very rewarding. Making games is the only way to improve and I hope to see you around next time.

Cyberdelivery by DarchanKaen 2023-05-04T00:49:56Z

@beebster-games you are not suppose to run it in your browser through the index.html, you have to run the Game.exe executable file if you are on Windows.

If you are on Linux, Wine might be your only chance to get it running.

Cyberdelivery by DarchanKaen 2023-05-04T01:00:11Z

I like the premise and it is impressive the ammount of text produced for a single jam.

Now, this is my personal opinion, but I saw pretty early were the plot was going. I would have preferred to know better the main characters than the 4 flashbacks being a mere build up for the ending. (This is my personal opinion, disregard as desired)

LD54 — Limited Space

Wellslide by Alfred Clark 2023-10-06T14:13:52Z

score: 3608

There is no top even if there is a progress bar on the left, I've been betrayed... Still, very fun

Tunnel Tiler by cogcomp 2023-10-05T01:35:45Z

It reminds me of old Tron minigames, really fun. Only 2 things I noticed: - If there is any cue of imminent color change, I couldn't find it (and crashed as a result) - Some games get sabotaged by enemies less than a second after a game starts.

Still, really amusing, and impressive for a 16h game with AI

Matrioshka Containment by Shigor 2023-10-16T23:44:37Z

Neat. I would have prefered lower health for both me and enemies, but neat game nontheless. Bases can be cheesed by sniping the enemies from far away, bullet decay could solve that.

how you use it by ThaProfesional 2023-10-05T02:33:21Z

This game really has a energy that takes me back to flash games played in the school computer 15 years ago. (And that is a good thing)

Paul Klee, Rich Harbour by Subsage 2023-10-03T16:49:01Z

Really soothing, I liked it way more than I expected.

It feels like a resting point between ultra intense jam games.

Long's Long Layover by Jason Lothamer 2023-10-03T10:31:10Z

Really fun and puzzles were not trivial. The only thing I would have loved is an undo button somewhere.

(Un)limited Space by MateusGauto 2023-10-03T00:52:58Z

I genuinely thought game was broken when i couldn't connect the cables of the same colours, then I found a bug where the computer screen had no back button, so it was locked...

So I refreshed the whole page...

And it went wonderfully this time, I really enjoyed the escape room. I even wanted a couple more of puzzles.

Obelisk by Untitled Studios 2023-10-02T22:57:10Z

Really fun once you get it. First time I opened the game I was overwhelmed by so many different sprites with no context whatsoever, but my perception switched once I read the detailed explanation in this page.

Everything in the game feels good, sounds and movement included, and the game loop is certainly innovative, they only thing I would love to have is a way to rotate in position.

If I Fits, I Sits! by cheesepencil 2023-10-02T23:14:03Z

Weird, how is it that we are not getting highscores yet? Let me solve it

Edit: I failed, I couldnt... 1494 current highscore

Void Hunter by GreenPig 2023-10-03T23:06:00Z

Combat is a bit floaty and I personally believe the song should be longer to loop being this intense.

But these problems aren't that bad to deal with and I liked the, which and actually had me playing a few rounds.

Still, a clearer hitbox in the attack would do wonders.

Spaceport by freeworld 2023-10-05T02:24:42Z

Fun and interesting, I don't know if I had seen a similar concept before.

Still, I have to agree with other comments, only having 1 possible level seems like a waste of potential.

ROLLiE and the Desert Drive by civmaniac 2023-10-03T23:56:28Z

This game is fire. One of the best things I've tried out this jam for sure

Crow Keeper by Matthew Bond 2023-10-03T00:23:35Z

You can play this game stacking ranged shrines, or you can play it wrong, the choice is yours.

(How can I say no to a game where you play as a crow?)

Stone Heart by funemaker 2023-10-03T00:08:46Z

hear @fifut advice, because half of the Ludum participants will refuse to download anything when they can just try another game already playable in the itch page.

The game is really interesting, although the minerals being inside the walls, when you are not supposed to touch them got me a bit confused at first.

Nightly Delivery by Frankey333 2023-10-04T02:41:26Z

Aesthetically it is pleasant, the music is fitting and it controls well, but I personally have 2 problems: -Everything is too far away, moving is straight forward, and yet it takes most of the time. -Even if I know the direction of the delivery, I have no sense of distance (like a distance meter under the icon), which makes it really hard to make decisions like taking a bunch of requests or just delivering the one I have.

Eclipse by Zeit 2023-10-02T23:39:51Z

Care, the ludum version of the game is not working.

The idea was interesting, although I would have loved to see more gameplay mechanics in the unlockable objects, some are not much more than fancy keys.

The game was enjoyable nonetheless.

Indcosmus by milq 2023-10-02T22:16:19Z

Fun game, love me some platformers. The exploding slimes are the bane of my existence, but no alternative than to improve how I play I suppose.

Bullet Spell by Glove 2023-10-03T16:09:47Z

Amazing and fun bullet hell. No complaints in audio or graphics. My only complaint is that the movement feels a byt floaty for me, I would love it movement to be faster to adjust, but that might be just me.

Under Infiltrate by josep93 2023-10-02T22:28:10Z

I might have found some speedrunning strats for lvl2. Were they intended? maybe, just don't tell me, let me dream.

Really fun game, in some places the jump+mechanic acts... inconsistent, but overall enjoyable. I would play an extended version were there one.

Trapped Goblin by chusmimax 2023-10-02T23:03:14Z

@chimney-eggs @cheesepencil you can shoot the eyes that activate the lasers to get rid of them, and the game have an actual ending.

I'm actually thinking in quiting the ludum version of the game because the windows size cuts off some important visual info that the itch.io version shows.

Trapped Goblin by chusmimax 2023-10-05T19:14:06Z

@fabula-rasa Little variations when you enhance the bullets would be so fast to implement I feel kind of stupid now for not implementing it. I'll be sharper next time, thanks for the advice.

Also, thanks everyone for the feedback. Feel free to point out anything you feel that was wrong or any possible improvements. I'm reading every comment and I want to do even better next time.

Depths of Eonar by GreyNovemberGames 2023-10-05T02:13:42Z

After many and many attempts, leviathan is down. Here are some opinions The good: - Everything about graphics, wow, impressive. I don't think I could have even if I was solely for graphics. - Sound - Ambient

The not so good: - 60+% of the screen shows were you come from, instead of where you go to. - normal slash hits very little, so you need to spam it. But you can't keep distance with it if you spam, so it is useless in the last zone - I love jump down attacks, yet, I couldn't get any use of the one in game. There is always a ceiling, so there is very few ways to gain the height to make it useful. - Normal slash in the air makes the jump down attack, which gets me killed every time I want to damage someone after a jump... Final boss is not reachable without jumping.

I really don't want this comment to sound negative, because it really isn't. Having so much way paved, I feel like a few minor changes would make it absolutely unique.

Packed to the Gills by npckc 2023-10-06T18:03:16Z

That was refreshing. Easy to grasp, fun, nice graphics, nice audio and playable from the web.

Snowlord by minjutin 2023-10-05T22:39:49Z

Neat concept, really fun. But oh boy is it a pain to play with a broken mouse that sometimes clicks twice.

Bag Bail! by CorvusBot 2023-10-05T19:47:00Z

Really fun and polished, no complaints. It took me 5 mins to actually get what I had to do, but that's on me.

Capitalism vs. Zombies by dratinyy 2023-10-05T22:32:53Z

LD55 — Summoning

Summon Elements by mdotedot 2024-04-15T16:30:36Z

Neat idea. In case someone is like me having problems with the game getting the bottom cut off: before hiting the game link, press full screen (f11 in firefox por example), click on the game after it. This will only work if you have a 1080p screen.

Now, 2 thinks that would really improve the game feeling: - An undo button. Some levels are too big, and restarting from the beggining feels tiresome. An alternative would be smaller and compact levels (these doesn't have to be easier). Puzzle games are about deciding how it is solved, not actually solving them, so if after you get the solution it takes minutes to implement it, the pay off slowly evaporates in the proccess. - make game resolution scale with the screen, the game would still be clear in a smaller window, but if you try to do so, it isn't resized to the screen, so it becomes unplayable.

The Department by schwede 2024-04-15T18:33:23Z

Cool game, altough I can't really gasp how to do well.

One question, the game doesn't seem too intensive, why not also upload a web version? Having to download it will scare off some people.

release the hares | LDJ55 by milk 2024-04-15T16:10:10Z

Your game is not playable at all in the current state, the 2 problems I think I have found are: - Your game files are not in the .zip root, but in a folder in root (it has to be directly in the root folder). - Even if you use the index.html, it doesn't work, that error could be because you didn't download the "Export Template Manager" (You can access it in Editor>Manage Export Templates)

If you make it playable, even if it is still unfinished, mention me so I can take a look.

Riot in Hell by tthe 2024-04-23T19:38:06Z

Once you get it, it's really good and fun. But you are just thrown to the middle of a blattle with enemies swarming your squad, without even knowing what is what. A slower start would be really beneficial, even a start menu would help.

Also, considering the time and the ammount of gold of the buildings, isn't it more benefitial to just buy cheaper buildings? unless you can't build them fast enough, they seem to be more profitable.

Sminer by LightningST 2024-04-16T19:20:16Z

Sweet, animations and movement feels on point and the music is cool (altough the loop might be too short if you are doing decently in the game and surviving).

Not much else to say, so here is my score:

Critter Duel by WubbaDuck 2024-04-16T18:44:05Z

I really liked it. I would have loved some more agency in combat, but considering time constraints, it's fine as it is.

Great job.

Tiny Terror: Cradle of Souls by byazzle 2024-04-16T19:41:21Z

After a so many in depth gameplay games in a row, this feels like a breath of fresh air.

Great job. It's addictive.

Barshen Breakout by Bloodbane 2024-04-23T18:50:33Z

I would have loved some mouse aiming implementations (not a 360 aim, but use mouse placement as a subtitute to keys), but it is a solid entry anyway.

Fall of the Ritual by davidkbd 2024-04-27T18:15:05Z

Screenshot 2024-04-27 201118.png Amazing game. Remember to read your tutorials kids, because I nearly finished the game only parrying with the shield (no summons)

I dig the artstile and the music, my only caveat is that E summon makes Q summon feel like a meme, am I missing something?

Whispers of Lyra by milq 2024-04-24T20:20:58Z

Nice game. Summons as a replacement for regular abilities feels preatty neat. Some mechanics would really benefit from some polishing, but a bit of jankiness in the controls is always to be expected in a compo game to be honest.

SoundSummoner by goddzeproject 2024-04-17T17:45:52Z

I miss 2 things: - A longer keyboard, so I am not so constricted in the songs I can play. - hotkeys or mouse input. Any of them work, having to move a key at a time to play another note breaks the pace and makes it really hard to play anythig.

If this was solved, it would make for a decent piano simulator.

Winds Whisperer by stellarnightmare 2024-04-15T21:05:16Z

After you get the big summons, mana regen feels too slow (or at least I feel it that way). I feel like some kind of tutorial and more effort in UI/UX would do wonders for this game.

Some of the concepts were really cool, and I really liked the enemy models and shader effects. Keep it up.

Summoning Arena by AlvaroRomeral 2024-04-24T20:04:05Z

It's a shame that this game is still undercooked. Watching the foundations, it has potential. Were you to finish or improve it in the future, don't forget to notify me.

You're Punching Fired!!! by Cozary 2024-04-27T18:27:30Z

Really cool artstyle, I really liked the mood.

Frame Wizards by AlezJL 2024-04-27T17:55:40Z

Really enjoyable. I dig the sticker aesthetic for all the... well... stickers.

Campo by Braulio_JG 2024-04-27T11:02:19Z

Fun game, let me give you a few quality of life implementations that should vastly improve the game feeling: - If there is a chance to get softlocked, make a reset/back to main hud menu. - Getting stuck over enemies feels more like a nuisance than a mechanic. Either make it not feel like getting stuck or just get rid of it. - Give the game an ending, even a simple "you did it" screen do wonders. - Spare some time to make and add a couple of sound effects, it makes games feel 2 tiers above a completely mute one.

This being said, I hope to see you around next jam.

Temptation Summoner's Aprendice by Baluj 2024-04-27T11:18:36Z

Really fun game to experiment with, I would have loved a better explanation of some of the summonings beforehand, but it is still solid once you get what is your purpose in the war.

Summoner´s ritual by josang1567 2024-04-24T23:25:12Z

Cute little game. It does what it promises. I would have loved some easter eggs or special combinations, but it is good enough as it stands.

SAKURA by ZekySky 2024-04-27T11:06:25Z

Really fun and awsome entry to the jam. Maybe balance is a bit off and power funneling too op, but doesn't matter as long as I can keep buffing my ninja Ori.

Imp Master by Owtuvammo 2024-04-16T19:02:36Z

Puzzles were fun, and that's not so common in puzzle games, great job. You can make games resize to the game window size in godot, it will solve the dynamic size problems. It would compromise some pixel art fidelity... but I would say it is worth unless you get into absolutely detailed and elaborated pixel art.

Candles of Doom by Tykki19 2024-04-15T18:51:15Z

Enjoyable game. I really liked it, you could easily make different layouts and levels for this. Why are there 3 drops over the fountain? I can only get 1 to appear at a time in each fountain, am I missing something?

DURO by Fenix131113 2024-04-23T18:41:09Z

Solid game with solid puzzles. Holes in the floor acting as walls towards projectiles feels weird, but well, you get used to it.

Bloud by aliflaliq 2024-04-17T16:47:01Z

I love the art style and the animations. Great job. Only one thing: I have a 2k monitor, and it had a lot of blank space, this is anoying, but what I mean is, if someone plays with a lower resolution screen (720p for example), they are not going to be able to see the full game.

PD: I just lowered my res, and it is not playable with lower resolutions, a shame.

Endless Engagement by OobOob 2024-04-15T21:14:28Z

Solid game. getting what was going on took me way too much even after reading the tutorial, a more graphic one would be apreciated.

Still, neat idea and execution

Don’t feed the birds! by CatReally 2024-04-15T18:53:01Z

There is no game here. Is it intended?

LD56 — Tiny Creatures

Tiny Lantern by Knatt 2024-10-18T16:27:30Z

Would really improve with both sound and a cleaner battle inteface, but I like the idea and the direction taken.

Karma Keepers by Nazariglez 2024-10-15T18:23:40Z

It took me way too long to understand you could upgrade perks, I tought the 1 in the first perk was because it was the first one. Really cool once I got that

Llort by ThaProfesional 2024-10-09T19:01:15Z

As my grandpa said: "Kicking goblins is always morally correct".

Keep them coming, as I live prepared.

SolarFactory by LarrySeinfeld 2024-10-15T19:11:43Z

The game is really good but the UI/UX is pain. no play button on the screen and no reset planet buttons. If you place an alien, you can only reset by reading the prompt again. If you press the back button out of muscle memory to stop the simulation, back to the menu. if you press space during the level prompt, it start the simulation and doesn't let you place planets(easy fix if you get what is going on, but will keep you busy the first time you encounter the problem).

And I want to highlight that it is a really good game that I really liked, it is just that the UI/UX works against it.

TinyCréatures Company Simulator by mackain 2024-10-15T17:21:28Z

Are we getting two nearly identical versions at full price? I hope so.

Incandescent by Ray Himmel 2024-10-09T17:24:28Z

I see you are doing it with Unity, so here is a tip, use the tools Unity gives and make the game playable from the browser. A lot of people will refuse to play your game if they have to download it (takes more effort and can be a vulnerability risk). It doesn´t take long and goes a long way for visibility.

I see most of the team is new to ludum, hope to see you all around again next time.

tiny creature RPG game by MenacingMecha 2024-10-18T16:35:56Z

Some UI improvements would do wonders in this game, little things like changing blank spaces when recruiting for [empty] squares.

I love that there is one that is just a racoon, we can all agree about that thing being the true menace no matter how high fantasy the setting is.

Niblo and Mubbit by milq 2024-10-15T17:05:38Z

Neat game. I liked both endings, the good one and the pacifist one (You are missing on a lot of proteins letting your meal escape like that).

The Governor's Will by chusmimax 2024-10-15T18:39:13Z

@inonesgraveded @riv @milq @frostbeak Difficulty was difficult to balance in time, and I personally went for the better a bit easy than impossible (It gets really hard to know if the game is easy or you are just too used to a game you have been playtesting for 3 days straight)

This being said, we want to release a "final version" after jam solving that and other issues and implementing a turret I could't implement in time (sorry @luis-priego-cuenca, I know you did your best drawing it)

Mystic Mites by Yeris 2024-10-18T16:48:37Z

"-Fixed Mites doing a moshpit in the play space"

That sounds like the opposite of a fix.

Instead of commenting what everyone else already did, I want to praise the scope of this game. The last few games I played clearly cut corners in UI/UX because they overscoped the game, this one feels like it just does what it promises and then spends makes sure presentation is intuitive and feels good. Thank you.

Rat Game by Pachino55 2024-10-15T17:15:21Z

One tip, if you upload to play on web browser (as you did, which is better for jams), place the link in the html box, not in the windows one.

Some people will be discouraged to try if they think they have to download it. Also, while in html it should work on every major platform, linux and mac included.

For the game itself, neat platformer, I hope to see you around again next ludum

Emberlight by Frostbeak 2024-10-15T17:32:33Z

I really liked the atmosphere. I would have loved for latest beacons to have some twist or new mechanics, but it is good as it stands.

The cylinder invasion: You better be in good shape by Riv 2024-10-15T18:31:45Z

Really could. It would greatly benefit from other types of turrets to deepen the tactical aspect.

Also, real question, ¿Are the enemies blazing fast?¿Or is this a high fps issue?
