Wow, amazing art. Gameplay is fun, and everything feels polished
Looks incredible! I don't really get the music. It feels a bit too chill for whats going on.
I love the game, and the cult-y vibe.
I had to use the walk-through to open the book, since I didn't understand I could click on the screen, to make stuff do something. I think the game teaches me that I couldn't do that, by f.ex. not having me click on the candles to light them with the matches. In the beginning it seems like thing only happens when I use items, so I didn't think to click the book hinges.
Great game, perfectly sized for a jam
Very cool. I got stuck on the combat screen after losing, but not a big deal, I just restarted. It was not very clear to me how much resource each unit cost. I would have liked to have more clarity on that, so I could plan better. The blue ghosts, also seemed to stick around after dying, but then didn't do anything. Not sure if they were intended to survive from night to night. Overall this was pretty fun
Looks and sounds great. I'm not very into the rogue-like controls, but it works. Decently fun to play, though I didn't really enjoy hunting for the ingredients.
Pretty cool, but the text would have to be skipping, if you a making it go so slowly, and making me lose pretty much arbitrarily Looks good!
Fun for a short while, but get's old quick. I like the drawings. The enemies look cool
I love the cinematics, the atmosphere almost had me daydreaming myself (in a good way).
I really like the first boss. In the end, the zelda part wasn't keeping my interest enough to keep going for another level, even though I want to know what the memories are about.
Everything feels good, it just got repetitive, and I ended up backtracking most of level 1, because I was missing a key. I really liked that the keys were showing me where to go, to find the locks, though.
Everything looks great, and the sound is great. Very cool entry
Haha, that made me laugh
I wasn't really to into the gameplay, but that intro was great.
I think there's some potential here. The game goes really hard right away, so you barely have time to figure out what's going on when you start. I also got unlucky on my first try, getting only arrows to place. I think the game could use some protection against that scenario. The score on the lose screen did not work for me.
Very nice game! Insane amount of content for a jam game. Had a really good time with it! It could definitely use some sound, but thus is the way of the jam, I guess
Feels very finished. Satisfying controls. I didn't really understand what was happening in the tower window. How far away were I from losing? But other than that, great experience, and great tutorial in the beginning, for what might otherwise have been a confusing game.
I like this a lot. Simple, but sweet. I also got thorugh the first 2 levels without doing anything, but got stuck on level 6. The changing of unit types is a bit fiddly. I wish you could use the mouse, although the mass-changes does help. The music reminds me abit of WarCraft II, love that
This is amazing! Everything feels done, and it's a cool take on the theme and an old genre
I don't like the controls, even though I think they are the way they are intentionally. Making the movement a bit less floaty would have improved this a lot, imo. Picking up the bullets and firing them all at once, feels pretty good.
Great game. I like the idea here a lot.
The graphics look good, though, the mixing of 2d and 3d feel a bit out of place. It could definitely have worked, but currently the difference is very obvious, and takes me a bit out of the game.
I thought there were a few unnecessary step when rolling die. Why do I have to click to "grab die"? I feel my hand could just as easily have appeared right after the opponent rolled.
I often couldn't get anything good to buy in the shop with my 30+ bones. I wish I could get a reroll, or maybe spend some bones on upgrades, after I've removed my stuff.
Looks and sounds great, and pretty fun.
Tutorial is great, and it's great that you can skip the text.
As far as I can tell there's no real reason to not hold down the shoot button? At least for the first of the levels (I accidentally closed the window twice, and got frustrated). For stuff like this I think it makes sense to either have some sort of detriment to shooting, or just have the player auto shoot.
Cute graphics and audio. I think the gameplay could use some help, atm, it feels a bit basic.
Pretty fun. I'm not really sure why the wand needs to be inaccurate? I feel all that does is have me walk around a bit, till I can get lucky and get a more accurate hit.
I like luring the zombies into the fireball. Pretty cool game loop!
I think you swapped our names around - not that it matters :D
"The wand being inaccurate explains why you don’t just resurrect your relative."
Ah didn't catch that. Yeah, I don't think you need to change the fire mechanics because of that
This is weirdly fun once you get into it. I wish I didn't have to use the mouse to move. It's kinda making me write with one hand, while walking all the time. The font is a bit hard to parse, I think having a very-easy to read font would be the choise for this kind of game
I like the drawings alot. The gameplay is very repetitive and boring to me. As far as I could tell nothing really happens to change things up. I the beginning, it was no very clear to me that you had to grad the potion from the cauldron to pour it into the portal, but I'm not sure if that was intended or not. I also had a bit of a hard time telling what happened when I made a mistake. Was I supposed to start over, or..? (I figured it out, but I think the feedback in this case could be improved). The music fits well
I like it! The music is great for this kinda game. Makes it very satisfying to hit the keys
Funny, I was gonna post almost the exact same screenshot as rakowu did above
Go arrow-following crowd
I like this a lot. Cool Mini Metros inspired concept, and looks great and cohesive. I don't like the typing much, I feel another system might have been more fun, or maybe remove the task before entering summoning circles and adding some other challenge, might have made it more fun. Simply but pleasant audio
Very fun, very polished. Everything feels very though out. I don't really have much else to say here
This is a fun idea! I got abit annoyed that the camera didn't pan down, when I went to the ground. I also think you die abit to easily from dropping down from your own raptors (on purpose). It's a bit hard to tell what the limit for how far I can drop is. Overall, I got into the stacking
Pretty fun. Very short, but what's there is good
Impressive game. I ultimately didn't find it very fun. The gun felt like a peashooter, and I could not handle the car controls. You sure did do a lot with the time, though! I like the twist on the theme
I couldn't get the the movement to work, so I got stuck on level 3. I have a hard time really rating this, since I'm not sure if there's more later on
Got Ash Drained. Cute little game. Though not much to do. I like the look.
"Traditionally doesn’t work in Firefox, use Chrome."
Worked fine for me in FireFox?
Very fun for a while. Got a bit repetative at the end, but I played to level 15, before getting tired of it!
Looks great. Love how you never leave the scene
Wow, this is a cool concept. A bit intimidating to get into, though. I wish there was something to ease me into using the software. I think I get it, but the amount of options are a bit overwhelming to me
I really like this. Feels like a dice version of Balatro, in some way. I think the connection to the theme is a bit thin. But great overall
I like the concept, but I think it'd make more sense if plants were only growing when you completed a level. I seems a bit boring to just have to wait for plants (I know you don't HAVE to, but you feel like you do).
The jump feels very float-y.
I really like the look of the main character.
I can see this being expended into something really cool, if you worked a bit on the platforming part. The idea and fantasy of going out into the world through portals to collect new seeds while your army is growing, is very appealing.
I my first play-through I only got 6 diamonds, and no more seemed to spawn. I think I needed 10 or 9 for the skeletons? When I bought the skeletons, it didn't seem to actually take the diamonds from me? Maybe I'm missing something
Very much a Vampire Survivors-like. Fun little thing, but it froze for me twice
I was a bit confused at first, since I was able to move around the stuff I placed on the board, so I though "what's the point", but I think that might have been a bug? At least I lost that ability later, and that made the game make sense. Cool, simple little puzzle game, that's probably has a lot of challenge, if you enjoy that sort of thing.
Works really well for what it is. Personally I'm not very motivated by scores, so I stopped playing after one playthrough. Having a timer on a jam game playthrough is pretty smart, though
I'm not gonna download a game here, but my build works on itch.io (using godot, compatibility mode), while not here. So maybe that could work for you, too? Sorry, if you already tried that, like 20 times :D
Way too cute.
This is how I summon my cats as well (sometimes).
Though there's isn't much to it, I found it enjoyable and adorable.
(I'm a little upset I can't pet the cats)
I'm a sucker for vampire survivors-likes, and this one is pretty cool.
I'm not sure why I would summon multiple animal instead of upgrading a single kind. Because of the low amount of upgrades, I can upgrade f.ex. chicken almost every level. There' might be a reason I'm not seeing, but I do fine without it.
On the theme: I like that you picked something other than the default warlock, but then the farmer uses summon circles anyways? Feels a bit off? The sacrifice health mechanic was cool, but again it doesn't really fit the farming theme? A warlock might have made more sense here
This post ended up a bit negative, but I think this game is really cool, and the art looks great
@pupirka I really like the theme, and it looks great, but sacrificing health to summon animals, does not seem like something a farmer would do. Does that make sense?
Thanks a lot for playing and commenting. Even though I had to keep it simple, it could probably have been a lot better if I had thrown together some simple models, instead of using basic shapes. I'll take that into consideration
@1y1e Yeah, that's interesting to think about. I think I'd definitely just not have stuff block the raycast, if I were to redo it.
You could probably make some system that estimates were the action is, but that seems out of game-jam scope
@quasilyte, wow, that's wild. I wonder what could have caused that. Thanks for making me aware
Chrome, Edge and FireFox. Seems to work best in Edge, weirdly enough. But, yeah, something is going on. Also, seems like the main menu music isn't starting in FireFox
@lone-wolf, @piero-pbes-studio, @farawaydrip30 This is great actionable feedback - thank you!
@maggardjosh Yeah, really annoyed that one slipped into the final version. Thought I had squashed it.
Thanks to everyone who have tried out the game, and especially those who left a comment <3
@timidger, wow, thanks so much for writing this out. What a great comment. Lots of stuff I can use in the future
Pretty cool game. The divinity placements feel as bit more clunky than it needed to be, but it get the job done. I think it could use some progress bar, to show that something is happening, and when it is. I almost stopped playing before reaching the boss.
@cleverdumb , even so, I think having a progress meter would be an improvement
