it works so well, the idea and the game play are very good. I think it would do fine as is, but just a little bit of polishing and adding some sound effects and some camera shake and animations when you hit the enemies or when your troops get hit, and adding some basic music would take it up so much higher. There is a free sound effects creator (or you can record them yourself by making some goofy sounds), and for the music there is wolfram music generator that works with AI and there is many free alternatives that are easy to use. I think you can achieve this bit of polishing by the end of the compo but even if you didn't or you want to get some sleep, the game is just fine as is.
also try adding shortcuts to the summoning choice, like key 1 would summon the first option, hitting 2 on the keyboard would summon the second option etc.. I think this would make the game play much smoother
Good game. It is interesting, maybe too easy to win this game, but I really enjoin this game.
Nice game love the idea but you forgot to remove the space key to lvl up
would be great if you've added a bit of hp regen for mage
I really like this game! You base game-loop here is really satisfying, but I do have a couple suggestions:
1. Mouse hover over the summon buttons to remind you which button is which summon. I keep forgetting what the units look like.
2. More enemies. I had the most fun when I was being attacked on both sides and I had to keep reposition as well as summoning as fast as I could.
I also have to mention: I love your art! Especially the mountains bordering the valleys... SO GOOD!

Hey, really liked your game. Played it from start to finish. Art style super nice. Cool variation on summoning of army. Bonuses are huge. Was playing archers with attack speed. Last level got 10 FPS))) Hotkeys for army summoning would be nice 1-5 keys for example Thanks for submission!
Really nice game! It has a lot of polish for a jam game, with notable exception of missing audio.
I struggled a bit to get "strategy" feeling from the game though. It felt like I could just spam whatever units, and the effect was more or less the same.
Great entry. Very polished, gameplay is satisfying. I was sad when it ended. I wish it had been a little more difficult. An endless mode with increasing difficulty would probably have worked well.

Incredible work! Simple but super effective, love the summon types and the different enemy types. Also awesome work with the artifacts. Really great gameplay loop. Definitely got to a point where I may have summoned too many guys making the game stutter. Great work overall!

Very fun, good core concept. Think that you were smart to only allow player character to deal damage passively as that meant the focus was on the summoning
吸血鬼幸存者每当数值崩坏的时候,刷怪机制也会更着崩坏,因为无限怪所以很酷。关卡制以后就只有数值崩坏了,就是在点然后慢慢等怪被磨死(牧师回血快到在前面当坦。。)主要是召唤没有任何损失,假设改成用一格血召唤一个兵,打怪掉血包之类的,可能玩起来会更动脑子一点。(不过单单是看着奇奇怪怪的小兵就很有趣了!颜色非常舒服
(用网上很多那种免费音乐网站,还是按音乐类型分类的,数量也很庞大,还有在线音效简单生成网站,很好用,可以增色很多!

Great game. I love the art style and the animations. The gameplay reminds me a lot of Throne fall, I assume it was a decent part f the inspiration, but I like how you made it work with the theme.

plays really smoothly i think i did not perceive any sounds or music but maybe that's just me? not a big deal beating up mobs is fun, it was easy to pick up thieves are my favorite class , they're baddies
OH i had a hard tell telling what exactly the green bar does! it looks like it levels up your mobs, but pressing spacebar twice fills up the green bar?
the maps as other users pointe out are simplistic and populous assets which are very pleasing to the eye also thank you for making the minions jump up and down. SQUAD
Wow, that was addictive! Great entry! Loved the art style and gameplay, would have loved more levels or an infinite mode! I think some sound and music would have added a lot to the game, but great fun anyway!
This was so much fun - during the first level I didn't expect to play it to the end because it felt kinda slow. By the 3rd level however, I was hooked. I honestly think you could drop the attacking mechanic for the player character and just lean into the summoning entirely.
A few levels in, I realized I could start running around the ranged enemies to distract them, so that my summons could kill the melee enemies faster without dying. That was a satisfying feeling to realize that I could indirectly make my summons stronger by splitting the enemy focus.

Well done! This was really fun to play. The difficulty ramp was a bit strange for me. It got really difficult on one level and I almost lost, but every other level seemed very easy. I'm not sure if that was just the summons I chose and upgrades I had or not. It would be nice if you could use hotkeys to summon as well. This is a really strong entry, though. I liked the small touches like the dudes jumping in celebration when finishing level. I'd love to play more of it! Nice job!
The core gameplay loop and concepts here are very satisfying, and it was quite fun to play. Like others have said, summon hotkeys would've enhanced the experience by a lot. I also would've liked to start out a little bit weaker. Just some numbers tweaks to make the game feel more challenging (and ultimately satisfying)
The graphics are so clean and as others have said, the colors work really well too!
Lots of great stuff happening here. Wish there was sound, but otherwise so many things were very right. I was enjoying leveling up and could feel my character getting stronger. That said, I was lacking a bit of the key challenge of the game. I was sort of just spamming my summons as fast as possible and that was good enough to win every time. Giving me a reason to move around the map such as summoning cooldown refreshing or temporary powerups would make the player more engaged during the summoning downtime. Excellent work!
I really enjoyed this gameplay a really cool take a 2D Hero Army manager, more tactical slower paced Dynasty Warriors. I wish the hero could be upgraded more to try a maybe hero-only run with combat magic or fighting skills. Or maybe go more support aura and effects that boost your army units.
I was play around with hotkeys and found what I assume give exp, give a army upgrade, give a treasure chest reward. Great game!!
Love the art style and it's very addicting! Reminds me of tower defense. It took me a minute to figure out some things like how to summon the guys and that there were treasure chests at the end of the level but for the most part very intuitive.
I like the graphics, and the gameplay is pretty good too. Maybe there could be a mana bar that depletes when you summon a unit - each unit having a different cost. The unit cooldowns work well enough, but I feel like you could have more strategy if the cooldowns for each unit were reduced and there was mana which determined what units you can spawn?
I love the goofiness of the game the most. Other things was well done too but I love the derp faces

Good job on having the core gameplay working well. Didn't seem to have any issues with bugs either. I did accidentally skip the first "base-upgrade" because the next-level-warp appeared next to me. Nice work!

Great concept and smooth execution! I like how the bonus were random, made for greater replayability. I would have liked to know the difference between the units at the moment I choose between them.

Well nice game but I feel it's going off somewhere. Everything is just so slow, enemies are life bags and just waiting for a hundreds of minions group killing them slowing is not the funniest part. Just put more damage or less life and the game is amazing with good ideas.
I really liked this one. There is something about games where you can make yourself increasingly large armies that just makes the happy chemicals flow for me.
I played through it twice, first time just to experience it, second time to see how many soldiers I could summon before the frame rate starting tanking!

I'd love to see a stats board at the end of the game. How many soldiers I had, how many died, how many enemies I killed etc.
Aesthetic all lovely, no complaints from me. Easy to understand, easy to control etc as well.
I wish the player character didn't move when it comes into contact with friendly units. I would just treet the PC as collisionless with allies.
Could be better to have keys to summon instead click but it works nicely anyway. Graphics are simple but fun. A pretty good game you have.

Very fun game, the theme is well respected and well executed. I liked the general coherency in the graphics, everything is simple but fit well together.
Just a few notes that could make it even better: - The game feels to easy - Having a shortcut with the number keys to summon the units could be cool - You can go to the next level without taking the bonus, could be nice to prevent that
Just finished the game! I really liked it, the only thing for me personally was that it's a bit slow in the beginning and maybe a bit too easy to complete. But well done! The graphics as well, it's so simple yet so clean!
The game is fun and simple, good spin on roguelike type games the only complaint i have with it how slow the start is, killing the first couple of enemies to lvl up was kind of painful. I also found that you guys forgot to disable so you gain XP if you press space, but other than that good job :D

Super nice take on the RTS genre. I like that it turns a quite complex genre in a very simple and enjoyable game, I really had fun. With a bit of balancing it could be great, because after the level before the dog enemies arrived, I had a hard time, but everything got super easy after that. Of course it's nearly impossible to have a good balance in a jam, but you did a great job!

I like the little bounce effect for the character movement. I'm not sure if I was playing as intended cause I just kept spamming F to infinitely upgrade my units and it got a bit laggy when there were so many units haha. Not very sure why all the text says "summon three soldiers" I tried playing it again with out the F key cheat and it was quite fun! Overall great work!
