I love the animations! And it gets difficult quickly, which I really like! Makes it easy to try again and beat your high score!

I would go to different stars and scan each planet, and send drones to some too, but would never get any creatures as seen in the screenshots above. Am I missing something? Aside from that, I really like the look of the game :)
This is a super polished game for only a few days work! I think the art is charming and very well done! And the controls are perfect for the pace of the game! Perhaps it is a little too easy and the space you swim in feels quite large, but I guess that's the ocean for you haha. Great work!
What a beautiful game! Can't fault the art and the music worked really well too! I got a little frustrated when I hadn't realised my phone had wheeled past my defences and ended up losing a level, but that's my own fault I guess haha. Had great fun playing it and it fits the theme very well. Great job!
Fun game and nice sprites :) I really like the interactive start menu as the tutorial!
I managed to play it on Chrome :) I enjoyed the level design as I had to retrace some steps to find the right path, but sometimes I would get stuck between two cars and would have to spam jump to escape. I like the sprites used as well, good job :)
I really like the character model and animations! However I couldn't get through the first gap, my crouch wouldn't work? Another thing I noticed was if I died, the fish I'd collected would remain as part of the counter! Shame I couldn't get further, the game looks great!
So much fun! Great job on an all-round great game!
Love it! It felt a little easy, but overall the game is extremely polished and beautiful to look at :) I didn't find myself needing to use the Protect Hostage and Change Target buttons, but I had a blast playing it. Great job!
This is a lovely game! Great graphics and audio, had a blast and enjoyed the little twist!
This is a lovely game! Great graphics and audio, had a blast and enjoyed the little twist!
This is a really fun game! I enjoyed playing through it :)
Fun game! I tried the medium and hard difficulties and enjoyed both :)
Great game! Had a lot of fun with it :) Really enjoyed balancing the RGB to get the perfect colour! And the audio fits perfectly! Great job!
Super fun game! I love the look of the planet and background, however the asteroids don't stand out enough in my opinion. A little more contrast would improve it a lot for me.
I love the art in this game!! Unfortunately the aspect ratio of the game was a bit too large for the screen I'm using so I had to keep scrolling up and down to see all of the locusts, but aside from that, a great interpretation of the theme!
Really enjoyed playing this! It's a refreshing take on the theme to slow down the pace of the game when so many other jam entries are really fast-paced! The sound at the end of the game was unexpected and a little loud compared to the rest of the game, which caught me by surprise, but I enjoyed the drawn aesthetic and the story. Great job :)
This is a great idea that fits the theme very well! I found that I often had water spawn quite far away, which gave flies a lot of time to eat the flower before I could get rid of them. But it was good fun, great job!
Just goes to show you don't need a game to be complex to be fun and engaging! I really enjoy the gameplay, I don't recall seeing this type of gameplay in another game! The pacing and difficulty progression is well thought-out which just makes me want to play again and again! This would be a great mobile app if refined and expanded upon, great job!
Challenging controls in terms of moving and dodging enemies/attacks at the same time. But good fun, great job!
The longest I've spent playing someone else's game today, great job!! I like the fast pace of the movement, and I'm impressed in the level design!

I really love the music. That and the pace of the game really creates a fitting experience for the theme! Good job :)
I can't imagine how many times you guys have heard the words "pay pistachio" (or whatever he says) whilst making this game, I heard it a lot playing it haha. Good job, I really enjoyed it, though it's quite difficult! I couldn't get past level 6, perhaps the first few levels could introduce the different mechanics one by one, and then the puzzles can start to get harder? Great work though, impressive!
Cute game! I didn't really see the point in earning all this money if I couldn't spend it, and it was quite hard to keep up with all the plants being ready to harvest all the time, but it was really nice! Good job implementing a working inventory/UI in such a short time as well :)
That art is something else, very impressive to have done all that 72 hours!
Very easy to grasp the game loop as soon as you look at it. I think you had a very large scope for a game jam, but I like the end result! Structure descriptions would be great when choosing what to build, and unfortunately the camera movements don't work too well when full screen. Great work!
Probably one of my favourites so far! Aesthetic is great, music is great, face fruit is great!
Very clear gameplay loop, it was fun!!
The visuals all worked for me. I really like the idea of combining a dash and attack in the same button, it's a fun mechanic I might explore in the future myself. I didn't really understand what I could use my souls on because TAB didn't work for me, but I enjoyed in nonetheless. Good job :)
@xaviarrob123 UK, but the TAB isn't different between UK and US keyboards, strange!
@xaviarrob123 It was on itch, yeah. Might be worth experimenting with!
Great game, I enjoyed harvesting thousands and thousands of litres of blood from my victims, great job!
Unfortunately the HTML5 link just takes me to a blank page
I put 7 roses down in a row. I ended up with 3fps. I liked it :)
Wow, I can't believe you hired professional singers for your game ;) joking aside, it's a very cute game! I waited around and the foxes would drift a bit, clipping through the giant Minecraft blocks, but that was the only bug I noticed! Great work!
I enjoyed it! Satisfying when you get a few combos in a row! It took a little while to figure out that tiles grew into more valuable tiles, but it was very well executed! Well done :)
I like the story and the take on the theme! I haven't seen an interpretation like this yet! Very familiar gameplay, but it's quite hard to think of multiple 9+ letter words for initial guesses!
Thanks @greenphox for the positive feedback! I made the music using FL Studio, which I'm very new to. This was my first song made using it :)
@lone-wolf thank you for telling me, I'd accidentally opted out... I've updated it now, so ratings should be available now. I want as much feedback as people are willing to give!
Thanks @infinitye, @mrnotcrazy, @madr, @fluburbio, @epa, @spacecadet for all your amazing feedback so far! I'll try to look at all your games shortly :)
@sephowepho great feedback, I'm glad you enjoyed it! I agree when it comes to levels 7 and 8. 7 was always meant to simply introduce the 3rd character, and I intended for there to be another level between the two to ease the difficulty curve and explore some more ideas with 3 characters, but sadly I ran out of time :/
Also, Baba Is You is an inspiration for the art, for sure!
Thank you @naomiajacobs, @maymay, @huozhedexiaoc, @chum-chum, @jiri-hysek, @crow-seeds, @tero-pulkkinen, @maymay, @dan-whiffing, @mtpw, @amarokczukay, @vipaka, @the-erebus, @rrsmtz, @nikkunakku, @pazzi and @nyxkn for all the unbelievably positive feedback!
@korvack I often went into a level design phase not knowing what I wanted to make, and experimenting led to me discovering loads of puzzle mechanics popping up out of nowhere! It's almost as if the levels wanted to be building themselves haha
@hfsevans One thing I thought about adding was checkpoints, so that in longer levels you don't need to restart a long stretch after getting so close to the end of a level. However I didn't have enough time really, but perhaps in a future version with longer levels!
@batbro051939 There could be some crazy puzzles with 15 characters! I might explore expanding the game further, and would definitely want to add more characters :)
@lone-wolf Thanks for your great feedback! I especially love your suggestion of a small grid area around the play to signify the tile-based movement! The last level does have a lot of soft-locking involved, but I found it quite difficult to design without that within the timeframe of the jam. If I were to expand it I would definitely try to iron out any unnecessary soft-locking for sure. Also dark-theme would be a lovely addition too!
@yx0884 I'm glad you enjoyed it so much, thanks for your feedback! I see you were one of the unlucky ones to experience worse wall tile textures than others (I still don't know why that is for some people and not others)... Funnily enough, your way of completing that last level isn't the one I had in mind when I designed the level! From watching other people play, there seem to be at least 3 different ways of completing that level, which I find quite interesting! Something to consider in future level design, at least.
Really enjoyed this! The 5x5 pixel sprites are tough to design, so you did a great job with them! Maybe making them 8x8 or 12x12 would've made the game a little bit more readable. I also really liked the introduction of new mechanics each level. Great game!
Difficult, but also good fun! I enjoyed the first time I got two combos in a row a lot haha
I found it quite tough to start off with, got killed by raiders very quickly most of the time, but really enjoyed it, great entry :)
Loving the GB artstyle. I struggled to navigate the controls because they were'nt what was dispalyed in the tutorial screen or the hints. But very cute, I had fun :)
Fantastic game, super relaxing! The best thing about it is it has music that isn't horrible to listen to on repeat! Great work
A lovely game, and a great take on the theme, I really enjoyed it :)
Nice game! I love the graphics and audio. I found my depth perception was really off for a long time, so it was quite frustrating jumping over platforms all the time, but once I got used to it, I had a lot of fun, good job :)
Perhaps the only Steampunk escape from I'll see this game jam, so you've gained originality points there! I really liked it, though sometimes I wish my player would move a little faster. Good job!
I really like the use of a slightly shallow depth of field! That, plus some vivid colours and nice models and you get a really good looking game scene!
Not entirely sure if you can use those sounds/music as they might be copyrighted :/ but good concept, I enjoyed it, if not for it being a little slow to start. I quickly figured out how to upgrade my farm though, and I like all the art :) good job!
Amazing cutscene to introduce the game! I love the concept of GMO plants that grow ammunition, and the combination mechanic was great, but it wasn't all that clear what I was combining, I ended up just mashing the combine button and spamming the shoot button, but had lots of fun nevertheless :)
I like the idea of a small rural farm needing to buy a new harvester daily because the farmer doesn't know how to drive one and crashes them every time they want to harvest a field. The true farming simulator!
Funniest game so far, didn't think I'd enjoy harvesting organs so much! And what a twist at the end haha
A couple of really nice simple mini games!
Struggled to get to grips with the controls, but I love the top down look of the home base, and the music!
Great game, and good fun! I found myself camping the bottom corners to safely collect humans without the worry of being shot from different angles. Great fun though!
I couldn't find the game on itch.io? It says there's no page set up yet
Everything worked for me apart from the "restart" button when I lost on my first try. Very nice, simple-to-understand game! Fairly easy once I realised I could place all my cannons as close to the centre as possible, but I enjoyed it! Good job!
A great game, especially considering it's your first ever! Would be great to have the aim target follow your cursor instead of being fixed a certain distance away from the player. Really enjoyed it :)
I like that you have to harvest your ammo. Very fun!
I love this idea for a game! Never come across a game that's based around this mechanic, you benefit from staying closer to the source of danger. Really impressive, though super difficult as well
It's chaotic and well-paced! Took a little while to get used to the controls, but I guess that's part of the challenge, good job!
Super fun! The track is short enough to make you want to play again and again to beat your fastest time! Good job :)
Fun game, but also quite difficult to get started. I love that the factory literally just spits out the buns as they're created, funny tough to the game!
I got to day 34 :) I really like the 2.5D art style, and the game was really fun! Unlike so many other games, the aim of this one is to kill the plants!!
What a great game! My favourite thing is the main character, he's adorable! Great job!
Really innovative controls, and I love the variance in movement speed from walking/flying and empty/full bag. Very clever!
As a big roguelike fan, I loved how polished this experience was! Plus it wasn't easy, it was exactly the right level of difficulty to make you want to keep playing! Excellent work! You could win the whole jam with this!
My score is 73! I like the art style in the background, and if you make the sprites from the fruit in the foreground nice and crisp it'd be a really nice looking game! Unfortunately I often got bad RNG luck and had fruits spawn on opposite sides in a row, so it was impossible for me to catch them. But overall, nice job!
Excellent little game, I had a lot of fun. Shame the scorecard at the end didn't work for me, I think I got to about 20 sheep?
I got stuck when I had to ripen the oranges using the apples. The oranges never seemed to ripen faster, even with 2 apples surrounding them, am I missing something? I really like the gameplay concept though. The idea was very easy to grasp :)
I really like the art! The map seems a little big so takes a long time to travel between checkpoints though
Great game! I really enjoyed it, and the art is fantastic!
Great game! I enjoyed the controls, a little difficulty to turning but the game significantly more challenging than it would've been otherwise!
Fun game, although sometimes I would simply get unlucky and there not be any way to fulfil a request... I really liked the audio and visuals too though, very cute
This is impressive for such a short amount of time, great entry! I got a little confused to start with, but I had fun!
The pace was unbelievably fast! I struggled to grasp what to do/who I was, even after reading the tutorial. But I like the idea and theme, even though I don't really see the link to 'Delivery'.
@phyrocast yeah that bug is quite annoying, and couldn't figure it out in the end! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
@fusionnist those collisions are going to haunt me! @antsa I'm glad you enjoyed it! The most efficient routes are usually less obvious! I've noticed lots of people completely miss the shortest paths!
@cole-hutson Yeah I found it hard to balance the range that I allowed the player to place crates in. Too far and it felt like there was no puzzle any longer, and with too short a range it became very difficult to place them. I think I ended up slightly too much on the short side. Thanks for your feedback!
@jakelazaroff That's exactly the reason why I kept the respawn times so low. I could imagine it would be so much more infuriating if you had to wait a whole second or more between attempts. Thanks for your feedback :)
Thanks for your feedback, everyone!
@euler-moises I agree, I found it pretty difficult to come up with new level concepts with quite a restricting and simple mechanic.
@frelude My approach towards tutorials is always "show, don't tell". I like to ease the player into mechanics slowly, so I'm glad you appreciate that! There were definitely things I'd have liked to change for sure.
@aquillot It's definitely a concept I could've executed a little better, but I'm glad you like it!
@weirdbitgames Amazing feedback, thank you! I find doing chilled music is generally nicer to listen to on repeat, and easier to make, so it's a win-win!
@geck0 I enjoyed implementing the challenge of getting 3 stars on each level a lot. Adds a bit more replayability, which is always welcome
Fun logic puzzles! I feel like I might have bypassed the intended mechanic by just turning an enemy car before the start so they drive out the map... A great entry though, it was very easy to grasp and good fun :)
I love this idea for a game! Great entry, had a lot of fun!
Lovely game! I like the use of canon-firing camera shake and the waves to block the player's view, very clever!
A tough fight! I felt like I didn't get much warning with the bullets! The art and animations are spot-on though, great work!
The only issues I had were with the camera going back and forth randomly when I tried to jump sometimes. But other than that, a very enjoyable little platformer! It was just the right length :)
Great entry! Exemplifies what a game jam game should be: very simple and very effective! It has a lot of polish, and is surprisingly difficult if you get caught between two vehicles! Great work!
Great game! I found it pretty tough, but good fun! Love how polished it is!
A fun platformer! I like the mechanic of throwing and having to retrieve your weapon! I had a few problems with responsiveness so couldn't play in full-screen mode, though! Good job :)
Great entry! Got down to my last life on the last level so it got tense as I tried to stay alive! Loved the art too!
What a fun game! I completed it first try, but I don't think it was too easy, just the right level of difficulty. Always carrying the boots and prioritising upgrades helped so much! Good entry!
My first dating sim, and I had fun! It had a great mood, as well as great art/audio! Great entry
That was super fun! And such a clever idea, executed really well! Probably my favourite entry so far!
Very cool aesthetic and mood, but I think it's a little too difficult. I found the symbols too cryptic, but the writing was excellent!
Firstly, the creature design/art is fantastic! It wasn't too clear what B, W and S stand for, and although the game is a little slow/easy, I still had a lot of fun discovering the different creature designs. Great work making it compatible with Gameboys too!
I've not seen the theme taken to the extreme as well as this game has, so well done! Very enjoyable, and the music/art is unbelievably good!
Addictingly tricky, well done! Had a lot of fun juggling pixels!
Very fun concept, and a great base to expand from too, so many potential mechanics come to mind!
Brilliant game, and I can see how complex level design must be for it, so well done! Seems very polished, and was a good brain-melter!
Didn't make it to the top, but it was fun! Unbelievably unforgiving, but a really cool mechanic to use as a rage-platformer. Great entry!
Amazing art style for a game, enjoyed it a lot! The straight-forward gameplay meant it was nice and relaxing to play, too! Well done :)
Cool to see a Papers, please style game in the game jam, and I like your take on the theme!
Lovely art style, and engaging gameplay too! I like that you don't get as much space to move around like you would in many other Survivor-likes. The limited space fits well with the hand-drawn, lined paper aesthetic. Great entry :)
Great art, and impressive to use your own engine! But wasn't at all easy! I found that the hitboxes may be slightly off, as I was seemingly being hit from nowhere a lot of the time, but great work! A simple exp/upgrade system (even just a single upgrade type) would've gone a long way! Great entry :)
@locksmitharmy @spudsef @bx007 Thanks everyone for the feedback so far!
@lovefromtom To make a constellation, each star has to be within a certain distance to your last selected one to work, yes! And a strategy I find works well is to loop constellations back onto themselves to summon some pretty high-level minions!
@bananplyte Thanks a lot! Didn't have nearly enough time to add everything I wanted. Drawing lines between stars within a constellation and a proper difficulty curve would've gone a really long way!
@skullpaca That's the highest I've seen so far!
Thanks for so much feedback so early on in the review process everyone!
@ashketchdem If I had time I'd have loved to add a preview for what each constellation would give you! I just ran out of time to add everything I wanted to, including sounds and twinkling lights unfortunately!
@julienlussiez thanks! I can see how it can be confusing for people seeing it for the first time. A tutorial is definitely something I'd want to add moving forward!
@aviv-levy Thanks for the feedback! For this game jam there's only one type of minion you can summon, only the stats change depending on the stars :)
@jhax Thanks, glad you enjoyed!
@bloketta You and I are on the exact same wavelength! :) I have so many ideas on how to improve the game with abilities, even events like lunar eclipses, meteor showers and auroras giving bonuses to certain types of minions. I feel like there's a lot of potential for mechanics!
@amarokczukay A preview for a given constellation is one of the first things I'd like to add!
@alkemiste I agree, more feedback is necessary, especially when making the constellations!
@godknows You can use as many stars as you have available. You can even decide not to make any constellations on any given round to save up more for the next!
@enad96 haha thanks, you're gonna have to race me though!
@0x0961h I agree, I have plans to highlight stars and constellations better in the future, but I think that's what's holding back accessibility the most at the moment.
@d0vid Seems like lots of people are coming across the level 8 hurdle (myself included)!
@patrick-pang That's unbelievably kind of you, thank you! From the feedback I've received so far, I'll definitely be looking into remaking it into a proper project :)
@haayaargh thanks so much for the super useful feedback! I completely agree, I knew when submitting it that the combat needed a lot of work. And that'll all get looked at with time, I've already started working on a better version :)
@sodoj interesting, care to share what idea you guys were originally planning on doing? Is it similar in terms of being an auto-battler, or had it do with constellation forming? A lot of tiny QoL changes and feedback with lights/SFX would've added a whole load to the game, I agree!
@nick-blackwood I've considered the distance between stars as an idea for the future! I like the idea of having intersections as it would help player-made constellations resemble real life ones, but there could definitely be a bonus if you actively build a run with no intersections in mind!
Really good platformer puzzle game, good submission! I especially like the dog suspended in a sphere, thought that was funny. And I also had a go at developing a speedrun strat for the last level (managed to complete it only using one jump pad, no walls or dashes needed). Had a lot of fun!
Fast-paced and music really fits with the aesthetic, but sometimes hard to keep track of where all the enemies come from!
Fantastic entry! I really enjoyed the story and battle mechanics, plus the fast that it brings me back to the gameboy days is always nice to see :)
To start with I really enjoyed it, as each ring, overlapping with the last, was making some really lovely music (who doesn't love a good polyrhythm)! But in the later levels the sounds weren't matching as well. I'm sure this was done on purpose to make the game harder, but it also made it slightly less enjoyable for me too. That being said, I still had a great time, very moody and always fun to see a rhythm game in LD! Great entry!
Sometimes when clicking on a row it would push two on instead of just the one, but that's the only bug I found. Would've been nice to restart at the current level instead of going back to level 1 each time, but I had. Overall, a great little match-3 game, especially as it was all done for Compo!
Very straight-forward on what to do, and very nice audio/visual feedback. It also reminds me of an old game I used to play on miniclip or somewhere, but I can't remember its name either. Great entry!
Completed! :) a lot of fun and felt very polished too! It had so much content that I never saw what the lightsaber worm could do before my run ended! Well done guys, great entry!
Reminds me a lot of my entry to LD52, actually, just more developed than mine! Some great puzzle designs here too, good work!
This was a very cool experience for me, as I've never really dived into a world like this before. It's amazing how you can glean the 3D form of an object through moving layers over text. An escape-room game in this artistic style and with the use of poetry would be incredible, and a no-brainer purchase for someone like me! This has inspired me to go outside of my comfort zone a bit in the future and try some more experimental games, well done!
I think I have RSI from all the clicking, but good entry! I think an autoclick would be nice (perhaps as an upgrade), and collecting souls by hovering over them instead of clicking would also go a long way. I won pretty easily with a single slime upgrade and both attack upgrades, so incentivising other upgrades would be nice, but I thoroughly enjoyed my time with this game, and the idea has a lot of potential for a mobile app I think!
Died a few rooms after the first boss! Fun take on the theme, and the name Lancelittle is very funny! Great entry!
Fun game, completed at 100%, though must admit I had to use some trial-and-error for the zombie/smart cats achievement! Lovely art/music, and loads of potential with the gameplay mechanic for future level development! Great entry!
Good puzzle game! There's so much scope to create super complex level designs! I would have made a few more levels just focusing on 2 elements. Perhaps new elements could be introduced as you progress? Art is very nice! Good entry!
Screenshot 2024-04-21 215410.png
Super addicting, spent more time playing than I'd like to admit! Thoroughly enjoyed that, well done on making such a fun game!
Screenshot 2024-04-25 124346.png
I returned, just to beat my high score. I challenge ANYONE to beat my score ;)
Cool concept, and very charming art style! I found it quite difficult to navigate (I know it is a maze haha) so ended up just running a round hoping to find the exit on multiple occasions without taking much care for the aggressive fish. Overall though, I had fun, it's a great submission with a fun take on the theme!
I was impressed by the depth of the duck-summoning mechanic, very well thought-through! ;)
