Nice entry few bugs though.I eliminated all the enemies in the level but can't go anywhere after..is there only one level?

It's a fun little game, I enjoyed it a lot! The difficulty scaling is pretty intense though, especially at level 3. Had a hard time getting through it! Good job guys!

It's interesting to have the HP going down no matter what, I would've liked the virus to attack you in some form.

Thought this was a good entry, I thought the visuals were clear, controls intuitive and I liked the audio too. My only comment is that I'd like the viruses to be more aggressive in trying to attack the player. Other than that, great job!

Really cool game!! Was able to play without any bugs. However the game gets a little repetitive after a while :( Otherwise really cool art and game.

Fun game, the idea of having barriers you can shoot through but not move through is nice. Really struggled to get past level 3.

To answer @petitpois, no there are four.

I was a tad confused at first. The intro level is really a title screen, and the WebGl build doesn't load the 'start' and 'end' text. It shows perfectly if you download it though. The game is fun, and the music is extremely fitting. The final stage is perhaps a pinch too difficult, but then again, I could just be bad at the game.

Overall, good work though.

@nonon @petitpois since both of you got stuck after level 1 (first of all, you ar sure all enemies are gone right? Not missing one out of sight?), which build are you using? Maybe this can help me debug. And did you get the "LEVEL COMPLETE!" message or did that also not trigger?

Normally there should be 4 levels, not one

@mickgerritsen which build are you using? In the web version you have to click once into the window to make the movement working, probably that is the problem?

@kristian-kurktchiev @philip-sawyer @yskuma The difficlty curve is definitly not polished a noticable ramp up for level 3 and 4 is intended though. Especially Level 4 is meant to be a real challenge, since I tend to make pretty hard games at LD and wanted to include at least one really hard level this LD also :)

@llwyd thanks for the comment, we thought about that two but we liked the idea that the main thread is the human dying (partly because of the theme) and getting damaged yourself is only a little thread with moving fast through the level and bumping into enemies. Since they don't chace you we set you helath to 2 so you are only allowed to bump into them once, it could be an idea to set it even to 1 since they aren't chasing you. Also of course there could be different enemy types later and we also thought of ally NPCs both of this wasn't possible for us to include in the entry though. Maybe we will ad stuff later to also make the game less repetetive (as @twistashio mentioned)

@jojo-the-clown thank you very much for the explaining :thumbsup: What exactly do you mean with "the WebGl build doesn’t load the ‘start’ and ‘end’ text"? With exception of the "exit" button the builds should be pretty much the same and also seem to be for me. Oh and which browser ar you using (I'm testing with chrome)? Maybe this causes the difference?

@tempii I try viewing the game on chrome, but the start and exit buttons load outside of the buttons themselves. The collision is also sideways. CommentScreenshot.png My theory is that other players simply figured the menu screen was the first stage and didn't see the buttons. Hope this helps.

@jojo-the-clown thanks for the feedback, In the day 1 patch I added a hint to start the game after defeating all enemies in the menu.

The misplacing of the buttons and text seem to occur because the browser is zoomed, I'll also look into way for fixing this.

Edit: I fixed the issue with the wrongly scaled UI and uploaded a new verion to itch (see description)

Great game! the difficulty is intense at the final level. maybe put some arrows pointing the remaining enemies?

This was really enjoyable with a great "feel" to the controls. There's some good ideas about the different types of barriers stopping everything, but others just blocking the player (there was one point on the second level where the last enemy was just off-screen and there's no way to get closer).
