Graphicly stunning, dying to a small amount of fire is a little harsh at times (especially with the long animation), also would be nice to have a warning about bad language or a way to change it,

Fun bullet helly shooter, little slow as other have said.
Feels a little random for high score runs, I like the fighters etc thats cool. would like more power ups to make me think about other things rather than use timing my bombs.

I like the crash bandicoot idea, but the randomisation doesn't work for me, the camera perspective means that the auto runner is hard, but a static map is learnable (what crash does), but in a normal auto runner its more about looking a head and reacting there is a little of that here but not enough in my opinion!
Platforming could have used coyote time to make it less punishing
Saying all that this is a compo game so what you have is great!

I got 201 kills before I quit, got a little bored towards the end, wanted more of a challenge - this is my type of game! The art and the audio loop were cool. unsure on the tree hit boxes. maybe some kind of environment hazard would have spiked it up (like the aliens spilled acid and you have to avoid it (or use your skate board))

liked the art, wanted to read the dialogs more but it felt like I had to rush reading due to the monster also hit a weird state in one of my playthroughs where I was soft locked, audio still played but could not move, interact and the UI was not updating and missing:

@cad its not explained but if you are in the last position each lap you will die - so the race will always end you
@edwingamedev the ramp issue is from holding 'W' in the air - which adds pitch for air time controls. yea we wanted to add body damage, but didn't have the time :)
We also struggled with the controls
@nikl yea, trying to no have HUDs in most of the games I make - more as a limitation and to allow less clutter, so the car loosing parts is your health bar so to speak :)
Yea browser performance with this amount of Physics is probably never going to be great - the non web version is much better, but still work could be done I think.

@farzher all assets were made by myself this weekend (got about 15 hours of sleep :)) the theme is a little bit of a stretch as you die if you do not win the race.

@james-7777 yea the controls are a little hard to get used to, should have spent more time on them and cut something - but not sure what we would have cut
@larsdu the main culprit is the wheel colliders and our dynamic suspension code. but it was our first time messing with it so super happy.
The main particle effect that causes any perf hit its the fire effect with lights - but it was cool :D
@lako yea Webgl doesn't like our wheel colliders :D the tunnel issue I completely forget to fix (camera clips into the mesh and culls everything!)

@gettingrekt yea most of the time we like to remove as much HUD as possible and only add something on top of the game if it is really needed - so in this case your health is the level of damage your car has taken and times, positions and laps are shown on screens around the track

@jojopalambas A post about our AI drivers was not something I had considered, but I will talk to the team about it as I think it is a good idea! It was mainly @autogibbon that developed it (I only helped out with design and a little code)

The rubberbanding is is our list already, it is caused by the max speed check and the cars alternating between acceleration and none.
We have tweaked death race game mode in or latest update, but the track needs to be redesigned as its probably too big for the game.

@bloodycoin a news tickers is a great idea and one that would fit with the minimal UI. Something I had not even considered!
Topdown race view might be shown via more screens that give better updates etc
AI use a way point system that's is then "fuzzed" with some random numbers, AI racers are also given a random steering and speed values. All of these things help sell each racers personality
We will be developing this further with better AI in the coming months. But for the jam I think the ffevt is quite convincing.

@logflames yea we are working on the steering currently, there are rigidbodies playing around with things yeh!. and yea there are checkpoints (big gates that you drive through, but we will be making these much betting in the coming updates!
@xjcl Yea that's occlusion culling, we have lowered the camera already for the next version and are changing the tunnels. Yeah the damage is being worked on to better show that (and look better). The death race is also being changed into a new mode. There is a temporary change in our version 1.1 that fixes the wait till the end "cheating" :)

Great entry, had fun with this one - only small gripe that that some of the screen wipes and transitions were a little long, but super minor
Graphics wise the style of the player was a little at odds with the rest but it looked fine over all, maybe some particles would have added more juice.
The different weapons were a fun touch, but the knifes seemed to be the best.

Wow, I went into this thinking worker placement I got this!
NOPE NOPE NOPE I did not - had to open that menu like a million times - 4 bee colonies died in the making of my victory.
Super cute game - towards the end I was trying to figure out a strategy for flowers, but I am still a little lots on it TBH.
I think with a few small adjustments you could really be on to something here

Super cute game! took me a while to figure out I can throw the bones at the ghosts - my RNG was bad, which made some level feel slow and long - it was also quite frustrating to only have one left then wait 10 seconds. Good entry

Movement around the pyramid was a little frustrating at times but the combos are really interesting!
The rage! great fun got up to the watch and could not figure it out!
Amazed at how much is in here the art, music and voice acting are all good.
Stealth mechanics are fun, the platforming was a little iffy at some points with some you stopping against platforms, and I really want to jump for the robots :smile:
The 10 seconds recharge was pretty annoying and the restart button not being in the centre of the screen was also strangely annoying - no idea why!?
But these are minor, great game and fantastic entry!

The card combat was ok, but lacked polish - there seemed to be a limit on how many cards you can play in your ten seconds but even after completing it it was hard to judge.

Good job on this one - I liked the aesthetics and shmups are always fun. The money could have had a bigger collection zone as picking it up was a little painful. Also the money felt a little useless as the upgrades were all great - maybe could have made the enemy upgrades better and money used to skip the enemy upgrades?
Hit a performance issue when I moved in the the area to the right and the game became unplayable.
I had fun with this, the art was simple, effective and gave a good look. The sounds were nice. The overall game felt really fun, the cool downs were a little aggressive, with me watching my demise. some upgrades for the soldiers would be fun too.

@hoeleboele Yea I was playing with the speed for a while - there is a upgrade that increases it. The theme is that new things spawn or move every 10 seconds. Also there are events that happen every 10 seconds but I did not do a great job of showing them - thanks for playing!

The acid rain effect was really cool - game looked great overall the theme was good and gave a strangely puzzle like nature to this platformer.
Mild platformer grips need a little more coyote time on the jumps and it would greatly improve the feel.

So I struggle with lots of text and skipped through the tutorial, then played and was like I have no idea what is going on, but I know minesweeper!
Then went back to read and was like OOOOOOH I move the army too!

Wow - this is a great entry. liked the screens, like everything to be honest great job! I liked the idea of potentially adding the side effects up - but would be hard to design the levels for
Like the look but the game doesn't seem to be working I put items in the the box (from the top down) gain points but the list just auto refills all the time - so no end.

I loved this game from a sound and visual point of view and the platforming felt good. But I did not like the restart and having to go through the game again. Great job on making such a polished game though!
Really easy - would be nice if you could "submit your choice", There needs to be some distractions to make it harder.

Concept is cool, the execution felt a little odd - think I finished a run in around 20 seconds.
Art is really pretty but feels like they were for 2 different ideas.

This was great - got softlocked into a death bouncing between vertical lasers, but PDA, storytelling and atmosphere were all really well done.
Platforming felt really tight with some jump requiring high precision but the game was very forgiving and edged towards rage but never massively close to it.

I love the art style of this, seen it on LombyGGs stream. played the itch version - looks like the particles spawning are causing a frame rate issue - are you using an object pool?
This game is great lots of potential - day/night cycle changes, dynamic events like seasons etc.
Really chill vibe - love the power feeling after a while like wave 15+ ish

Love the vibe of this - almost quit due to not understanding that you could upgrade, glad I read some of the comments here to know that I could.

Nice game, addictive and challenging.
Few comments and my feedback (mostly compared to vampire survivors): - The colliders on the enemies is to big and your starting range on melee feels really small. - The rocks having three colliders that do not match up to the sprints is frustrating - Enemies speeds starts to fast - it might be more fun to increase this over time. - Health pickups from killing enemies would be fun as the challenge is already high - The power ups are nice, but some feel a little too low of a change to be worth picking. - I beat the game using speed and farm speed, as the combat felt quite lackluster (gameplay wise, not graphically) - Given the speed of the veggies the attacks facing forwards feels a little off.
Graphically it is amazing the pixel art is fantastic!
I like the theme and the horde of veggies falling you around is great. just has some mildly frustrating areas in it. Good entry and well done :thumbsup:

Everyone is shooting and there is goop everywhere, fun game the LODs on zone is a nice touch.

A farming game! liked the physicality of it, picking up things and putting them down.
Few areas of improvement: - Not being able to see my money in the shop is a little annoying. - You need to press escape twice to open the menu in the browser if you are full screen, then click the button again - maybe an addition button would help here. - Don't remember if it was told but I thought that went I ordered seeds they would arrive quicker, thought it had bugged. - There is not a massive amount to do, the time pressure is great fun, but it would be better if I could multitask more, its mainly just water and sleep, with the reset taking away things it was quite frustrating. more planting and management would have helped here, do I have enough water, can I plan out new areas etc
Graphics were simple but nice.
Overall I had and interesting time, but got stale quite quickly.
Liked the minigames though they were a little laggy for me.
wanted to change the cactus in a pot, but couldn't :cry: art is super cute and the growth animation was very well done!

Like the story idea, there was a little too much fluff in it, the mini game did not add to the experience that much. I understand that it was meant to be monotonous (it was) but it was not a fun experience as a player - I would have preferred to be on the side of the hacker and discovering the situation, would have provided more fun with a very similar story imho.
That being said I think what you achieved the in timeframe was good - well done!
Wow this is great - I was going to come and ask you to add some kind of brush tool. I love how this snowballs and that it feels great along that journey. Well done such a chill vibe!

Fantastic I just played this for the longest I have played any game this jam so far - I love the proc gen if you go back to the menu. Only thing I would add is a bestiary to understand enemies weaknesses etc

Best game of the jam for me so far - funny, thoughtful and interesting, cute animals, like the shooting and I HATE THE GNOMES!
Found a few instances of them running through my walls - what advanced technology do they POSSESS!

I like the alien designs and the ship is cool - the upgrade shop is neat too.
I feel that the game has some pacing issues - I like the challenge of farming the guards without killing the cattle (fun joke BTW!).
The people moving off the screen is a little annoying too.
I played maybe the wrong way - trying to last as long as possible :laughing:

Though at the end I hit escape and then could not go full screen again due to F11 making my browser window full screen :smile:
Overall I think its quite fun, but would be better if it was a little faster, and maybe a little more agency in the fights.

With the full refresh that happens after a while the difficulty resets - so it could be easy to game to get a high score by just waiting and getting some of the easier ones. but its a fun type of mini game as others have said well done!
Got Stuck on level 3 had to watch the play through for that part (thanks!) other level sometime got completed by accident - really cool concept like the move to the beat element

Looks and plays well, great amount of polish - had some weird screen size issues. Would have liked to expand the farm with some kind of pickup or something. Maybe need to balance feeding people and use as ammo would be a fun concept.

Physics YES! Destruction YES! art was simple but effective and the fire particles were nice, sound was ok
Aiming felt off to me, even with gravity etc it never appeared to go close to the little aim dot.
Castles looked great, maybe more explosions etc would have made it even more fun. lacks an end goal.
Loved that each time I went in was a little different, would have liked to see more stuff with wood in it and really see burning buildings.

Super Chill game - as soon as I saw it was a clicker I was like YAY! but then it went all zen, really enjoyed this one! well done :)

Funny game - I had one person that was off screen for 10 seconds! was mildly panicking that I could not see them and the casually walked down.
Love the graphics and look of this game - the fuel resource is a little limiting, but overall nice!
I really like the jumping between different planetoids but feel like the jumping is the thing that should use the fuel. Then you need to plan your route better.
The background moving and rotating is giving me slight motion sickness (be nice if there was an option to turn that off)

what......wait.......that game was......hmmmm.
I loved it, it was confusing and crashed twice when loading the comics. I just wandered about listening to the voice lines and I laughed out loud at the end panels....
Gameplay wise I could feel some of the level colliders and the combine should perhaps be able to turn whilst stationary. but overall I had a fun time, good job!

Decent tower defence game, a little easy once you get into it and the was are a very LONG! Art was nice enough, UI could have used a little more polish but all round decent entry!
Game was a little overwhelming at first - the restart bugged the game and needed to refresh the browser also if you do not click start at first you start with lots of plants to harvest :smile:
I am annoyed that my 300k veggies was not in the screen shot

I have been building 3D games and modelling for around 1 year now, so my style has been evolving and I am getting fairly quick at making things.
Bug interesting - will have to look at my game in Firefox as I have only really been using chromium browsers and not encountered that issue. I know that the cursor can become unlocked sometimes and you have to left click, but again not experienced that yet so will go check it out - thanks for reporting and again thanks for playing!

@smeljey yes I agree - I wanted to encourage exploration and for players to get the highest score they would need to remember where things were, plot a route and execute a good farming strategy.
But only being able to hold one tool at a time and having to go find them is frustrating for most players (something I am going to update) Thanks for playing!

@artofluba Thanks for playing - there is a "How To" in the main menu but its not super obvious, you need to push or pull the organs into the delivery hole at the factory - pulling feels better for me, In in game tutorial would have been better I agree!
Fun little repetitive and the bigger tractors seem to take a while, but it is so satisfying, had a small issue not able to like an egg to get my golars but really fun overall!
Great visuals and audio - obviously the control issue is painful but the atmosphere you have built here is impressive, the bloom and lens dirt is a nice touch too.

Is there any kind of end? I didn't make it massively far due to the enemies being quite hard (especially the massive sandwich recipe!)
As others have said the lack of feedback from the combat was a little bothersome, as it was not clear that I had to kill them at first.
I kind of devolved to just spamming attack and running around :smile:
Things like choosing what seeds to plant on your own, so you can balance the difficulty and the orders would be a nice improvement same with using different kitchen utensils as weapons.
The adaptive music is cool, You got a lot done the the three days

I love this idea the puzzles worked out very well - the simple graphics were ok, sound sounded the mood well.
Puzzles were challenging but the game kept me engaged, only main point of criticism was that the undo and reset were too close and too similar.
I loved the difference between all the plants - oranges being the normal, apples being speed up, melons you need to delay and corn being that delay source. The last level really showed this system - though it is maybe a little to tight, with only one answer.

Interesting idea, I both like and hate the carry the light mechanic as it can feel tedious at times - it would be nice to "unlock" more light or torches and to have a little dim light attached the the rat.
There were a lot of fake keys and they didn't really add to the experience but the mood and atmosphere you created was great and I enjoyed my time as a rat :)
I liked making jam from the astronauts, fun little game and the physics was entertaining to mess around with. Language was not to my taste as I play these with kids about, A little warning would have been nice, overall great job :heart:
I love the inventory tetris genre, this one fell a little short as the items were hard to find - the 8 hammers I could only find 5 and after scouring the map I just gave up.
I would like to have played more with the inventory and less looking for the little items, I liked the map and the inventory was well built. as others have said sa few simple sound effects would have helped a lot too.

Nice idea, could not go full screen (got an error, blame itch :smile:) also the game didn't end just said next stop in 0:00 but I could still move around passengers.

pretty fun, agree with the direction arrows on the undergrounds I get getting confused. Game overall is fun good mix of frantic and trying to optimize your belts.

I enjoyed this one, would like to more of it! not sure if there is an end but I must have completed about 30 buildings some of them are quite tricky. Liked making up backstories for them in my head and the reasons why they dislike things. couple of improvements would like to see the building centred and the place room either turned into something (room requirements) or dropped as it felt a little tedious to place the rooms after a while. Also a swap room function would have been nice.
great job overall and the art and music was simple but effective. with a little more polish it would take it to a whole new level :heart:

Nice concept, I wished that I could put multiple towers on each patch and then for enemies to collide with the towers and mess with my plan, liked all of the different towers, but some felt very expensive.
Art was fine, enemies could have been something (guessing a time issue)

Wow, just wow I had to stop playing, the art and sounds are great and the range of things to find and fight was impressive, every time I thought I had experienced it all a new things would drop. I liked the longer runs back with lots of gold to think what I was going to spend it on.
I only noticed the bag upgrade after about 10 trips :laughing: so that made it even more fun to buy that. fantastic work would wear salami on my head again :heart:

Had some frame drops on hitting checkpoints occasionally, and got stuck a few times - main thing I would ask for is to change the gem count into a bar that fills up and drains when you are in super drill mode, maybe draining faster over time to help keep the awesome feeling of the combos.

Really nice game and could see it being expanded upon, with more buildings weather, planets etc great job, like the graphics were simple but effective and I particularly enjoyed the foliage when it was all together. The audio was really nice well done one that.

Nice spin on tetris, I found that the colors were not easy to understand when all mashed together, a mouse over the villager to just highlight their color would have been useful. Sometimes I just could not satisfy needs so it felt a little pointless to even try.
I liked the concept though nice job.

Loved this, packing tetris, really enjoyed the upgrades from the shop too, would have liked to have some tooltips on the hazards on what they were though. over all I had a good time :heart:

Nice game, I didn't enjoy the RNG of it but I did like the puzzle concept of it. reminds me of a couple of board games I have played. Liked the art. Schools seemed a little bit overpowered but I think that's ok

fun game, like the risk flavour, but it does feel a little random, almost want the edges to erode to force you into the middle to fight. but overall good fun, well done

@gorglomux yeh, its actually coded to give the buildings out as a reward (they are just all set to 1 so they unlock after placing the HQ)
I could not find a decent balance of order and thresholds same with limited quantity, they are all just set to 1000 and a check in the UI to not show the counter if over 50 or something haha. So I decided to make it more of a sandbox than to spend a lot of time finding the correct order to unlock etc

@tyrannas interestingly all of the games are based on a random seed (you can see it in the text box when you complete a map) so I have no idea what map it was :smile: but the hex grid is between 6 and 9 tall and wide so may have been a 9x9

@mao thanks for playing, for buildings to score and light up they need to be connected to the HQ either by being placed beside it or via road.
They need to also have enough workers and power, currently the check is quite dumb in that it looks at the needs of all your buildings as one.
So if you need 12 power collectively nothing will turn in until you are fully positive and have 12 power even if you have 11 power. This is confusing and a point that I would change.

Yes solar panels give more power when placed adjacent and residences give more workers in the same way.
The windmill thing was me liking the look of different heights and trying to make a mechanic from it :laughing: unsure if it was needed
Roads are needed as buildings only connect through the same type so to connect miners you need roads - but will look at if there is a bug with the connectivity.
Parks fill a niche where you have a couple of spaces left but your power and workers are out of balance, they also vary the look a little :wink:
When a tile is placed it adds its workers and power (if any) and its placed points, When it is connected, powered and supplied with workers it is completed and scores its completed points and any adjacency points bonus (commercial and parks)
Edit: Looks like its working as I had hoped: image_2023-10-04_090935725.png Miners on the left are all connected either with roads or through each other Miner at the top is not connected as it cannot connect through the residential
Though if you were experiencing a different behaviour that is concerning :laughing:

@lincolnsalles building is free you need to use the tiles to fill out all of the space. So you are just trying to get as many points as you can
Liked the idle game like nature of this, liked the voice, was a little chatty when things were flipping on and off. Enjoyed my time with it. Something that I would like to see would be icons to show you upgrade level (it also took me till about half way through to realize that I could upgrade other buildings :smile:)

Liked the concept, but didn't really understand the theme, the camera is a little jarring to control too. Like the character sprites and was fun to explore the mall - had 10 seconds left when my barricade broke on my last survivor. Nice job :thumbsup:

Game play was simple but addictive - I had a couple of turrets do most of the heavy lifting for ages whilst I explored the cave. Main issue was energy and not having enough - well done great game
