sheesh absolute banger of a game

This is a great entry. I wish I could see generator health without having it on screen. Really fun 8min is my best time. Lots of fun!!

pretty fun game! The only issue i had is that i have a widescrren monitor and all of the ui elements are either miss-aligned or off screen. The other very minor thing is that sometimes scrap will spawn inside a wall and you can't pick it up sometimes without a dash.

good entry non the less

Nice idea. I really like how you implement it. :)

Pretty cool ! Some aspects are confusing but you get the gist of it easily. Watch out for the aggressive SFX though with burn/frost towers ;)

Could use some finishing. e.g. had an enegy zone spawn under a wall. You can only walk in one direction at a time, thats fine. Pressing left or right overrides up and down, however pressing left and right at the same time alows walking up and down. This did iritate me more than it should have

Otherwise nice game

Dang, wanted to try it but the Mac version just threw an error and itch says it's missing.

rekate 2023-10-06 01:34

@draekdude sorry, I forgot to put the itch.io project as public, it should work now.

I love this! Pacing is really good, excellent concept that's well executed, I like how it's a really cohesive experience and feels like something I could genuinely waste half an hour enjoying! My only minor things I'd like to see, more just to elevate the experience rather than any bugs (I actually didn't find any bugs so awesome job there) would be to slightly randomize the pitches when collecting the scraps and to have some simple background music, even just something ambient. I loved this entry though, really solid game

@aetherswitch the sounds was very last minute on our end and neither of us have any experience in sound or music so that's why it's quite bad.

Anyways thanks for the kind words. It's our first time actually 'finishing' and sharing a game and honestly been surprised how relatively well it been received by most who came across it.

I found myself playing it longer than I thought I would. I did feel a bit hamstrung by the low movement speed, but the dash does make up for it. You've got a solid concept which, with a bit of polish, could turn into a pretty decent game. Well done!

The sounds are a little bit grating, though!

Nice defense game. There seem to be plenty of electric grid for towers to use but with enemies only gathering on the generator, I agree that there are only 4 effective grids to use, IOW limited space. I may need to strategize better between killing enemies and activating towers next time.

I liked that you included a little tutorial section, and that there were some on-screen instructions. I'll blame myself here, but I wasn't able to setup more than the one tower that you start right next to. I just couldn't figure out where to go from there. It kept saying I didn't have enough scraps, and the enemies showed up very quick. I'd say my main feedback here would be to ramp up the difficulty way slower. Just give the player 30 seconds or so to get their bearings and build a thing or two. Anyway, still thought it was a nice entry and a solid effort. well done!

nice game idea ,wish for more content of this game xD; it is confused of what to do at first ,after learn how to repair my tower, things get interesting

phillip-scott 2023-10-15 21:17

Nice concept, I wished that I could put multiple towers on each patch and then for enemies to collide with the towers and mess with my plan, liked all of the different towers, but some felt very expensive.

Art was fine, enemies could have been something (guessing a time issue)

overall liked it, well done
