I had more fun playing this than I had any right to. Something about punching crows out of the air brought me great joy. I do with there was some sort of difficulty curve, though. Maybe the box moves, or more crows appear at a time, or they fly faster? Otherwise, very good, I managed to harvest 212 nondescript crops
:) Nice game! I like the idea of an aggressive active scarecrow! And it was very satisfying to punch the crows! I'm not really sure how the harvesting works. And your UIs all seem a little broken--probably ran out of time with those! Great art though!

You hold you hand in the black box. @ukulelefury and yeah I scrapped my game idea from the first two days and had 1 day to make this one, im pretty happy I did at least something.
I didn't read before I started and neglected to harvest for a while at the start. Oops! The strength of the game lies obviously in hitting the crows, but the harvesting felt a little meaningless other than running up the score. That said, smacking those crowd kept me entertained for a while!
I like the art, the scarecrow and crow sprites are great. The rectangle to harvest from is a little too much UI for my tastes, some other sprite would've been welcome there. I get it, though, that's just the nature of a limited amount of time in a gamejam.
@flaterectomy yeah no time, the harvest box is there so that you dont just keep your arms close to your body as a shield.
hah punching crows! I wanted more crows, maybe some feather and screeching - maybe I have a problem.... was fun thanks for making!
I was not expecting much from looking at it first-glance and the text here, but this was deceivingly fun LOL. I like the control scheme a lot. Somewhere in between awkward and intuitive. GJ, especially knowing it was a pivot as mentioned above!
Pretty fun little concept here! The gameplay is clear and well implemented, and I really like the crow AI and unexpected dives they do. It definitely keeps things fun and interesting, and I survived to the ripe old age of 177 wheat. Great work on finishing the jam! :)
This is a fun idea for a game, a nice little mix of moving and punching, though once I figured out I could just hold the mouse buttons down and wiggle around it did get very easy, so you may look at having a version where you can only click to move your arms so than it's a little more frantic clicking around trying to keep your hands up. Nice job finishing for the jam!
Well, this was a weird game 😄 Simple and straightforward. The feedback from punching crows was really satisfying. The graphics did their job.
I think it would make more sense to keep your hands low to harvest and to raise them up when you need to punch the crows. I think it would also spice up the game if you could move the scarecrow left to right to pick up the next harvest.
I found the art style really beautiful.
The actual hitting of the scarecrows felt so satisfying and very meaty.
I could never get very far but maybe that was just because I needed to git good.

It took me a mo to get my head round it but once I did it was pretty fun. The faking it that the crows sometimes do is a good tension raiser. Over all really nice job
Simple and effective. Between swatting down the crows and staring down the craftier ones before they made their move I had a great deal of fun!
Interesting game, super weird concept but entertaining none the less. Graphics were simple but nice. I did submit a score and saw above you were unsure if any one did, might be a bug. Cool game!
Graphics are nice, but the gameplay was a bit too simplistic. Maybe the harvesting could have been a bit more interesting somehow.
