LD48 — Deeper and deeper

Deep Seek by Sheepolution 2021-04-30T06:16:45Z

I was holding my breath the whole game watching your fun animations! I liked that the game really did make me want to go deeper. And the risk reward of going for it or playing it safe was fun too. Nice game! :)

Deep Cross by badpaul34 2021-05-10T04:17:09Z

This felt like a relaxing single-player bananagrams to me. I was a bit thrown off and didn't know what to do in the beginning but ended up having some fun with it. Thanks! :)

Nuclear blaze by deepnight 2021-05-14T06:54:27Z

This was a great game! I really liked the fire graphics. Also I definitely felt the stress of needing to triple check that each fire was put out before moving on which was nice. Thanks for the fun game!

Untitled Bruce Game by icefallgames 2021-05-11T03:13:41Z

I really liked the concept and the overall execution was great! I only wish there were more levels and mechanics to explore but that's not on you, that's on the 48 hours! Very fun game. :)

Deepest Sword by Strega 2021-05-15T06:16:56Z

Very impressive! I really liked the pixel graphics and the cute theme that wrapped it up. And the sword mechanics were just hard enough that I had to struggle and get good before I could progress. Thanks for a very fun game! :)

Pipes All the Way Down by kroltan 2021-04-30T07:08:00Z

I liked that this really felt like a card game. Nice work on the design! :)

Fallumns by Logan 2021-05-01T00:58:27Z

My mind is totally blown. I loved it! I was laughing out loud, "no way, they didn't!" the last two thirds of the game. Bravo!

Go Deeper by Jeffez 2021-05-14T07:02:37Z

I definitely liked the wall climbing system and animation. Would have liked to have seen some more puzzle mechanics or platforming but overall nice entry. Thanks!

Beneath by Rewzu 2021-05-01T00:42:51Z

Fun game! I particularly liked the player glow and particle effects and that the gameplay is surprisingly fast paced. I do feel like each time I died though it was because one of the guardians blew up the block beneath me while I was waiting for them to circle around but I guess I just need to get good, lol. Thanks for the game!

Below the Ocean by Ismael Rodriguez 2021-05-15T06:04:45Z

Wow, this is so fun and polished! I'm very impressed! I loved the mechanics, the art, and the music! A+! :)

Eye of Skozrack by Echo GameWorks 2021-05-10T04:27:20Z

I loved the entire feel of this game but especially the audio! I liked being an eye, I liked bouncing around the squishy levels, and I like the little story going on as it went. What a lovely little game. My only wish is for there to have been more consequences for putting around too much and to be able to flick the eye before it came to a complete stop. Thanks!!

Bubble Diving by Lymze 2021-04-30T06:41:56Z

I really enjoyed playing this game! I liked the animations when you bubbled the monsters the most. Also, fun music! :)

Afraid to Turn by rhoff95 2021-05-14T17:40:32Z

This game had it all, great parallax pixel graphics, great atmospheric sounds, and fun gameplay. I liked that I was eventually as fast as the wolf and managed to run back with it on my heels! Thanks! :)

The circuit by AdamsMcCall 2021-05-11T07:00:34Z

Really fun idea. I liked the deeper and deeper circuit/stack frames a lot. I would have loved for them to come together with another mechanic or two but overall it was a good showing of a great idea. Thanks! :)

Space Cave by Timo Gass 2021-05-03T06:56:47Z

Impressive 3D entry! The ships controls did feel pretty floaty to me but that works when you go down through a hole and twist around. I also felt the targets were a little small. But overall I enjoyed playing it! :)

LD49 — Unstable

Karuno by reheated 2021-10-08T00:37:31Z

This game is incredibly unique! I did find myself fighting with the physics a bit but once I got the hang of connecting the pipes and then not touching them things got a better. Thanks for the fun game! :)

Blood of Beasts by Jimbly 2021-10-07T01:01:25Z

Fun game! I liked old school ascii graphics. The fun loop keeps on giving which is neat. Thanks!

Project Stallion / Zherebets Proyekta by dob 2021-10-05T02:15:56Z

This one definitely had some good laughs! And despite turning up the overall roughness for some extra silliness, a surprisingly compelling main mechanic to boot. Nice work!

Demolition Mouse by lonewookie 2021-10-14T21:59:47Z

Nice little game. I liked the cohesiveness of it, it's great to be a little mouse jumping on cheese! The platforming controls were a little floaty but coyote time and related tricks definitely made it very workable. I had fun! :)

Instability by R3L0ad1 2021-10-08T00:51:58Z

This game is really fun! It takes a basic concept and builds it out fully and really well. Very polished. Great work! :)

Burning Down the House by doomshmuck 2021-10-14T22:15:09Z

I was confused at first but I figured it out. Fun small scale bullet hell game. The music was a bit repetitive, if you toned down the midi trumpets it might not have been as noticeable (though maybe it wouldn't have felt as much like an intense retro boss fight!). Also, I would have loved more fire sequences but overall I enjoyed what I did get. Thanks!

Bitrunner by TimeLoad 2021-10-14T22:08:51Z

Fun little platformer. Coyote time would have saved me from most of my deaths but I guess that just takes getting used to. Nice shader for the retro scanlines, made the game feel like an old arcade game. Nice work!

Pirelli's Potions by Boon 2021-10-07T00:16:20Z

@arkinrev did you find the lantern easter egg? Hehe, thanks!

@jk5000 I was worried if it was too easy it might get boring since I didn't have the time to pull in any more mechanics (surprise surprise). The game has a deck/card rng system under the hood so the difficulty should come and go a bit, but the decks do get bigger and bigger, and the conveyer does get faster and faster (to a point). O:)

Pirelli's Potions by Boon 2021-10-16T21:26:38Z

@reheated exactly! You're guaranteed to get the symbols you need eventually, and as the game progresses that eventually gets longer and longer. And each time the deck draws all the way out the game bails you out a little bit (actually there are two decks dealing at the same time, but when one ends things should be more balanced). Thanks for your kind words, glad you liked it! :)

I had wanted to put in levels, some explanation of how things worked, and growing numbers of symbols, but ran out of time. This was my first ever Unity project and I installed it a few hours in so a lot of my time got sucked into stackoverflow and youtube tutorials haha, but it was fun to make! Thanks all!

Polygonal Animal Stacking by Flying Dog Fish 2021-10-14T21:14:15Z

Fun! I got up to 23! I loved the art style and music, they really gave the game a nice aesthetic. I found myself using new pieces balancing the old ones to stay on the pile! I wish the downward force of dropping the pieces was more predictable but I suppose that added to the unstableness of the pile! :)

Crisis: Reactor by arkinrev 2021-10-07T00:30:10Z

Very neat idea, I loved the atmosphere and modeling/lighting. Also the slightly sassy robot voice was an excellent touch! Overall very hard but fun game. Thanks!

The Eye of Glower-On by UkuleleFury 2021-10-09T01:53:39Z

Thanks, this was fun to play! Level three was definitely the most interesting to me (and challenging). And the fun chip music also helped set the mood really well. Nice work!

Love will Prevail by lesinvisible 2021-10-14T21:19:37Z

I loved this one. It was so intense and vivid. All of the art and music came together into a singular piece about a really hard topic. The game makes me sad but it was great to play it.

Among Monolyths by Dekajoo 2021-10-09T01:31:11Z

I'm (Jonathan) Blown away by how polished and complete this game feels. It's really great that you were able to wrap up such a simple puzzle mechanism with a really nice story and growing mechanics. A+! :)

Tables & Tremors by SlimmerBurger 2021-10-05T02:34:14Z

The graphics were super polished and the controls were difficult but rewarding. Nice work! :)

MIFFED by Caladrius 2021-10-07T04:02:25Z

This game definitely made me chuckle. I especially liked the silly voice lines to add to the doomish ambiance. Nice work!

Unstable connection by Daniikk1012 2021-10-14T21:50:48Z

Fun little pixel graphics and nice music. You don't a lot of ~idle games in the jam so fun to get one here. Would have been nice to be able to see or hear more of what was going on without having to click in and out constantly. Overall nice work! :)

Unstable Genius by Doc Kaos 2021-10-05T02:44:09Z

Wow! What an epic and weird game. I love it. I was expecting to run into some key generator music but the key was supplied lol. Really fun and silly. Great unstable work!

Destructo by JPGFG 2021-10-05T01:49:54Z

I really liked all the pixel art and the music/fx! The game felt perfectly old school. On one stage I got stuck and couldn't get to the exit, but otherwise no issues. Nifty tactics game, great work! :)

Pills by shellofagirl 2021-10-14T21:54:28Z

Haha, that last level (I assume) is evil! I liked the overall feel and aesthetic of the game including the gameboyish aspect ratio and graphics. Nice Work!

Deleted Project by Alice_02 2021-10-14T22:04:29Z

Quite a polished little 3d platformer, nice work! I respect the fixed camera and arrow inputs and it definitely worked as a style but it was hard for me to aim diagonally. Very impressive entry! :)

Rockunsteady by chingle 2021-10-14T21:42:18Z

A surprising tight little platformer for 48 hours. There are a lot of nuances to platforming mechanics that are easy to get wrong and this one jumped right over them! I liked the randomly applied effects. Would have loved to have seen more levels!

Unstable pathing by arachnid56 2021-10-14T21:35:10Z

Overall, a fun game with a number of puzzles. :) Interesting to add timing to an overall simple puzzle mechanic. I suppose it comes across as an action puzzler in a way, though I found myself planning all of my routes ahead of time, tapping R, then executing. I solved all of the puzzles and was hoping to see another mechanic but still happy to have played it.

LD50 — Delay the inevitable

Glide'r Die by adamk33n3r 2022-04-05T05:53:43Z

Excellent execution on a fun idea, with very nice voice sfx/lines! I laughed at "my leg"! I made it to the end and would have loved more levels/adventures but this was a very nice taste. Thanks for a fun game!

I Refuse to Hibernate! by Rose 2022-04-05T05:47:17Z

I love seeing puzzle games in here and this one was perfect! Nice and light but it was still super satisfying to plan a couple of moves ahead and make the most of it. I managed 20 rounds. Also the art is insanely cute and the chill music is spot on! My only criticism is that it made me sleepy, or maybe that was from the jam... hehe. 5/5 one of the most polished jam games out there!

Battle Cards by sirikan 2022-04-05T05:01:57Z

A great base coat for a turn based card game! I feel like the enemy always had ranged units making my back line effectively my frontline, but I suppose loss was inevitable ;) ! On my last play through I managed to survive 26 turns!

Wither by Marc Grabow 2022-04-05T04:22:44Z

What a cute little game! I really struggled since the difficulty ramps so quickly but I suppose that's the point. In a pretty funny event, one of my plays I managed to stand in one place above my last plant while a gnarly group of very quick bug died at my feet. Squashing the bugs was so satisfying. :)

Icarus: The fall is an inevitable by GreatVV 2022-04-05T05:18:48Z

What a fun game with some in depth mechanics and nice modeling! I never managed to get a particularly good combo off but had fun building and playing. It felt like Daedalus telling Icaras not to fly too high and ultimately building his doom. ;) quite polished, great work!

Magma Melt by Boon 2022-04-05T06:12:24Z

@jonathan-ray-pollard @unitedfailures I added some info to the game, thanks for calling that out! "3" is ice for freezing the lava, it's rarely as good as a wall but it does have its place in certain circumstances. I would have loved to have had more time to balance it but too much ice can make the game run on infinitely so I had to scale it back.

@oneowerse that's right! Lots of overlapping and scaled Perlin Noise for the level generation. I started with just a bunch of random trig and noise but then I stumbled across Perlin Noise and was very happy for finding it. It really saved my bacon in my first ever 3D game!

Magma Melt by Boon 2022-04-06T04:41:46Z

@oliver-richmeier thanks! I figured the theme of the game was already dark enough so I tried to lighten the mood (though I'm not sure I managed to strike quite the right chord in the limited time...)!

@floatingvertex I can't deny, I love creeper world, a very happy comparison. Nice work, that's the highest score I've seen! :)

Dodge It by evgeney24 2022-04-05T04:52:24Z

I couldn't play in fullscreen 4k (pc with decent specs), but in the little browser window it worked alright. Maybe try cutting a PC build? WebGL always feels slightly worse. Anyway, the world deformation was a really cool effect and I like the idea! I would have loved another enemy ship moving randomly or something to spice things up a bit, but a very technically impressive entry. Thanks for a fun game! :)

I Know What You Did Last Ludum Dare! by TentacleMax 2022-04-05T04:44:30Z

I really love the pixel graphics, and the characters people with multiple doors for opening and closing was a surprisingly fun aspect. Great work! :)

Run Run Granny! by Hartvichio 2022-04-05T06:46:36Z

What a fun and funny game! It really had the warm cozy feel of an old school game. I loved the dog driving the steamroller lol, and the great sacrifices that must be made for progress. Haha! Thanks for the game! :dog:

Crime City by gtogrmri 2022-04-05T05:09:36Z

I missed the reload button at first and I thought me running out of bullet was the inevitable part, but I guess it was actually just the fact that each gunfight carries some risk and death is inevitable! Fun game and I discovered right click to run which made for some very satisfying kiting adventures. Thanks for the fun game! :)

TIME by etchell 2022-04-05T04:29:34Z

+1, good job! I'm not sure if I found the secret, was it the harp? The walls exploding out was a nice touch. :)

Doomsday by TheGoodHunter 2022-04-05T04:37:41Z

Very shiny game, nice work! I chuckled what the other cannons do if you go rogue. And I did not expect... what was coming! :)

THE EXIT WILL CLOSE by Tyler Walton 2022-04-05T06:02:29Z

Fun and hard game! It's really impressive how you two were able to make all of the different levels and cleverly share assets/mechanics across them, yet still each one was fresh. Great work!

LD53 — Delivery

Souls on Board: The Styx Delivery Service by Boon 2023-05-03T20:02:45Z

Thanks for all of the nice messages! The audio mostly came from my bathtub, desk, and water bottle, haha. I think over the weekend I got good at controlling the awkward boat physics so I decided to call it "gameplay," I'll try to aim for easier controls next time! The clouds obscuring everything was intentional so you'd need to avoid them to be able to read the messages, and I did want to be more generous with a misplaced soul but ran out of time and had to just call it game over.

Crystallium by MikoziQ 2023-05-02T16:47:28Z

Wow, this game looks so slick, like it's straight out of the app store. I found it got more and more fun as it sped up and I really appreciated the forgiving physics. Nice work!

Delivery Champ by Brandon Campbell 2023-05-02T16:33:18Z

Lol, I love this. I managed to deliver 16 babies! The art sound and design are all very cohesive! :)

Ultimate Package by Triangle Point 2023-05-02T16:29:15Z

I liked the music/sounds and the platforming physics were on point! I wasn't sure exactly what to do with the boss but with unlimited retries I managed to defeat them. Thanks for the game! :)

Delivery Drive by Volodymyr Karchevskyy 2023-05-02T20:53:06Z

Nice game, I enjoyed all of the pixel graphics! Agreed about the stiff steering, but otherwise a nice relaxing play (so long as you're very careful and go slowly).

Delivery Witch by kgurniak91 2023-05-02T16:40:03Z

I like the core delivery mechanic of weight vs jumping and the art is all quite nice. Thanks for the play! jiji? :)
