The text and HP is a little cut off in the embedded web version. Also, I wasn't really sure why sometimes I could jump on the boss and sometimes I couldn't. I had fun luring the box enemies off the screen and trapping them though, that was a fun mechanic. Music was great, too!
"Undelivered packages rule the world" - that is absolutely hilarious and brilliant, and if Amazon kicks the bucket during the end-times, it's guaranteed to come true! So prophetic. Not sure why they don't have a category for that.
@trampolinetales Thank you sorry about the boss bug I had 10 minuets left and still had to build and submit. luckily unity was cooperative and got in with 3 mins to spare.

Didn't realize jumping on enemies was momentum based, which was cool when I discovered it. Wasn't much use for it but it was neat. Hitboxes detection on enemies was pretty frustrating sometimes, sometimes it looked like they weren't touching me but I still got damaged. And the boss' movement was so jittery, like it was teleporting, made it impossible to dodge it. Otherwise, very cool playing as Moist Critikal.

"Undelivered packages rule the world" is a great opening vibe haha!
I liked the variety of the art, and a huge box fort is an environment I haven't seen before in a game. The gameplay was kind of simplistic and it was hard for me to tell if I was damaging the boss or getting damaged, especially with the hearts at the top being cut off. That said, I was impressed by the movement on the boss, which was super smooth.
@kylethecoder Thank you so much, I'm so happy you thought it was funny!
@kwiper Thank you so much, "Yeah baby! Thats what we've been waiting for! thats what it's all bout! Wooo!.
@ludev Thank you so much, happy you liked it!
@cogent-invalid Happy you liked it! I though it would be goofy just having the player venture through a giant box fort.
That guitar riff hit me. Nice. I'm...pretty bad at this game, lol. Gave it a few goes, but never got too far. A me problem.
I agree with those who appreciated the box fort, that was fun. The whole aesthetic here really vibes!

Most things I could say already have been said, but that isn't going to stop me. The box fort as an environment is a really cool idea! Overall a pretty short but solid experience.
The sound is very good. The graphics are very nice. However controlling the characters seems a bit slippery. I feel like I'm skating on ice and sometimes the jump doesn't respond that well. OVerall pretty nice!
So the boxes make buildings out of their own flesh!? Disgusting. Fun game. It got a lot easier when I realized I could wall jump!

Interesting platformer game here. Love the style and aesthetic that is created here. I felt the player jump was a bit floaty, but a great submission!
such a interesting game! Undelivered packages rule the world XD
Really unique take on the theme! well done! One criticism only: I didn't understand how I am supposed to kill the boxes and how dialog works. Also, when I understood them by reading the itch.io page, it was too easy.
Loved the audio theme and graphics, but hated that jumping sound lul

Maybe I'm just bad but I couldn't even get to the third checkpoint. Also why is Critikal the player character lol

I enjoyed the Moist Critical simulator  the playform controller feels both stiff and floaty, weird as that sounds. I got the ultimate package though. Feedback for when you actually hit the boss in the final fight would be good, I didn't know I was doing damage until he died (and I died like 5-6 times :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:)

Absolutely fantastic story! I liked how the levels were built around delivering packages, and the ultimate delivery at the end was great. Great job!
The audio was really good, a simple game but well made :D
Enjoyablle little game, I loved the sound track! Movement was far too floaty though and was pretty frustrating. Otherwise a nice entry, good job!

Nice game! I loved animations and soundtrack. And great take on consumeristic nature of contemporary society and its impact on the future of human kind.
There were couple bugs, like camera making funky things and colliders being in unexpected places. Also some coyote time would be much appreciated (you can make lazy version of it by instead of checking for collision before jumping setting bool "jumpLeft" to true on collision enter and to false when space is pressed).
Another tiny detail that would be nice to implement is pressing some key instead of clicking to get next line of dialog, so you don't have to use a mouse in a game where it's not needed.
Overall, fun story, engaging gameplay and very nice aestethic. Great job!
Decent game overall. The boss fight felt a little glichy and i don't think the game was playtested properly but its a short little game that has a lot of charm!
I liked the humourful premise and the controls felt pretty responsive (although I would like to see coyote time being added).
The boss fight definitely felt a little glitchy, moving too fast and the damage grace period was too short, so it felt like i more or less cheesed him at the camp fire (ps: shouldn't the box palace burn down from all the open fires around :D).
Good job!

I like the controls a lot. For the boss fight, I feel like it would be nice to add some effects to let me know that that I am doing damage when I stpe on its head. I was able to obtain the ultimate package though! Also, I like the dialogs with the npcs. Overall a solid entry.
Awesome entry! Maybe I am too bad but the final boss seemed impossible to me and I couldn't have beaten it without the respawn so close xD As someone already pointed out texts and graphics are a bit cut on web version but I loved the game mood anyways. Congrats!

This is ultimate shitpost game of this LD. Even Moist Critical here.

Interesting game :D I had fun playing it and that's what matters. The AI is super aggressive but movement seemed okay to me. Graphics was okay and the music was good. The boss fight was confusing. Overall it's a decent submission.

I had a lot of problems with the camera, it kept teleporting around, snapping to different rooms all the time. I don't see anyone else in the comments talking about that, so maybe it was a problem on my end.
Apart from that, it is a great and very... creative game. Very interesting submission :D
@holdmeimscared Thank you so much! Happy you liked the music and aesthetic!
@glove Thank you so much! Happy you enjoyed playing!
@rjerez192 Sorry about the movement issues, I turned down the friction on the player a bit when making it to try to give the movement an smoother fell. Guess I went a bit overboard :/ Anyway, happy you enjoyed yourself otherwise.
@brandon-campbell Lol, never really thought about it that way. Happy you had fun playing!
@haydads Thank you so much! Sorry to hear how you feel about the jump, but I'm so happy you enjoyed the game otherwise!
@projectcolorball Happy you liked the game!
@greenphox Sorry about it being a little easy for you, didn't have much time to balance. Hope you liked playing otherwise.
@aznoqmous So happy you liked the music and graphics, sorry about the jump lol!
@hacktic Sucks you couldn't make it to the third checkpoint, hope you had fun otherwise! I figured if one man could deliver the Ultimate Package and save the world, it would probobly be Moist Critical.
@wahooney Thank you so much! I'm so happy you enjoyed playing!
@torte478 Thank you so much! I'm happy you liked playing!
@castitatis Thank you so much!
@rohanmoon Sorry you didn't like the movement, but none the less I'm happy you liked the game otherwise!
@jul-li Thank you so much, So happy you liked playing! If I continue with the project I'll defiantly fix those things, thanks for pointing them out!
@unfinished632 So thank full that you liked playing! I didn't have any :/
@richard-baltrusch Didn't even think about the fires being a hazard, kinda just threw them in there. Thank you so much for your complements and I'm so happy you liked it!
@papaya If I continue with the game I'll definitely add some effects, thanks for reminding me! So happy you liked everything else!
@island-jam-2-group-3 So happy you liked playing! The only way I could beat the boss is with the campfire too lol! Don't really know what's going on with the text in the web build, in the future I'll try to stop that from happening!
@kirkami Lol, thank you!
@remus I'm so happy you had fun, that was my main goal all along and it means a lot that you say that! Thank you so much!
@floke Sorry to hear about the camera, I don't really know what's going on there. So happy you like the game otherwise!

This game could have used some audio feedback or clearer visuals on a few items: checkpoints, hitting enemies successfully, when an enemy enters a non-hittable state. Still, it is a humorous take on the theme. Good job!
floke

@triangle-point I just tried it again, it only happens in full-screen mode. I default to playing all Unity entries on fullscreen instead of windowed, since somehow all of them are cut off around the sides and often some UI elements are outside of the window.
When playing normally, I only experience some jitter where I had the teleporting before. So it seems to have problems with the upscaled resolution.
Highlight: Music
Lowlight: Janky Camera
I thought the character looked a lot like Moist Critikal and the comments confirmed it. Great easter egg there. As far as the game goes, my initial thoughts went straight to the music. Hands down the best part of this game and the best music out of the games I have reviewed so far. Gameplay left a little to be desired, the enemies while original to make them be boxes, felt a little awkward to fight. My biggest complaint however is that the camera would sharply move around at certain points that did not feel natural. Overall a great game, with a funny setting and fantastic music.

2023-05-01 22:15
I liked the boss animations, did not expect it to have moves like that.
@seurimas It really could, wish I put more in. None the less, I'm so happy you enjoyed the rest of the game!
@floke Thank you, I'll see to fix this issue with future game!
@bit-flipz I understand the issue with the camera, it does tend to bounce around a lot. Sorry about that. Still, thank you so much for your thoughts and the music and rest of the game, I'm so glad you liked it!
@cinterre Thank you so much, happy you liked them, it was so much fun to create them!

I delivered the ultimate package.
The boss fight was a little confusing, though. It wasn't clear when or if I was applying damage.
Really great humour and the graphics were really nice, audio was good too. It looks like you've had a lot of feedback and what I've said is probably going to be covered in the above, but I did have some issues with the camera jittering around and I agree that adding something to the boss to make it clear your attacks are damaging him might be useful. Still even with those, it was an enjoyable game and a fun experience.
The level of polish - between the into animations, the slow roll out of dialogue, and the wonderfully rendered backgrounds - *chefs kiss*
I love this style of pixel art - so plucky, and easily readable. And the music is an absolute jam.
It exudes humor on all fronts - from the lore, to the NPCs, to the enemies. I love how the boxes come spilling out, jumping over top of each-other, trying to kill you. Ravenous! Very fun, well done!

Great entry for the compo ! Good job. Apart from what other says, it felt weird using the mouse for dialog, when all the game is on keyboard. Maybe adding a bit more feedback on enemy. The movement felt nice and the music is super cool. Again Congratulation for making the Compo ! Great entry !
@c0010 Congratulations on delivering the Ultimate Package even through the tough boss! I'm happy you enjoyed it!
@matthewdrake I'm so happy you enjoyed the game despite the issues with the camera! Thank you!
@ugly-robot Thank you so much for all your kind words, it means a lot! I'm so happy you loved Ultimate Package!
@hmrpf Thank you so much, happy you liked it! If I continue development, I'll fix those things.

I can tell this took a lot of work!
Pixel art is really good, the music sound is very pleasant, the packages are difficult to jump over, but they will not be respawn, yeah, good game!

Nice work! I like the camera transitions although sometimes they do snap fast and I lose track of were I am. Fast gameplay with a pretty nice setting, all in all nice work!
Behold, the ultimate package! great game, with a few bugs. Notably, the camera spasms and the AI sometimes was wonky. Otherwise, great game, had fun playing it!
Not a bad entry. I like how the entire structure is made of boxes, and the pixel art is very good.
@obe-dot I hope you enjoyed playing it, I sure as hell had fun (and a challenge) making it! I'll be sure to give your game a play!
@terry-crow Thank you so much, I'm happy you liked it!
@larryv Thank you so much, Happy you enjoyed it!
@kristian-kurktchiev I'm so happy you had fun, that was my main goal! Thank you
@stevie257 Thank you so much, happy you liked it!
Well done! The storyline was really charming, and the gameplay was a nice difficulty level. I liked the art too. I did have some issues with the camera movement and so some of the evil packages surprised me when I changed screens :P Really nice entry overall!
@waffleworksgames Thank you so much, happy you had fun!

Intro took a little long, really wanted to jump right into gameplay. UI didn't scale properly unless I full screened. Fun lil simulator though!
Story and music were my favorite parts. I had a problem with the camera snapping around a bit and I found the jump to be a little floaty. Other than that it was very well made. Great Compo entry! :package:
@leyamez Sorry to here about these issues, hope you liked it otherwise
@chum-chum Thank you so much! The thing with the camera is a known issue, wish I had time to fix it. I'm so happy you liked it otherwise!
I like the artwork and the music it was a great vibe. The final boss was a bit hard but satisfying to beat! I was a little confused at the end when I had defeated the box, but I figured out what to do, may want to clarify that. I really enjoyed that you put the button movements on the billboards. Very cool game!
I'm loving the spritework and that screen transition-scroll -chefs kiss-, So good! The jumping sound hurt my ears a little though hehe!
@crosthy-iyes Thank you so much! Happy you liked the game!
@weirdbitgames Sorry about the jump sound, that was just slapped together in 5 minutes :/ Otherwise, I'm so glad you liked the rest, thank you so much!
This is so charming and silly omg!!! Love it, those boxes are weirdly cute
@crow-seeds Thank you so much, I'm so grateful you liked them!

Fun little game.. The collision is weird though, specially on the boss, I didn't know I was doing something to it.. The aesthetic of the post-apocaliptic box world looked nice :) Good job
Overall a fun game. Physics and controls are a bit floaty, but the art style is nice. Good work!
That was a hard game, I think no-hit run is impossible :D The last boss with flying and teleporting was especially tough, good thing he wasn't healing on player's death. I really liked the music and the amount of different art elements.
was very fun :D Tips : you can wall jump

2023-05-02 08:34
Great game! Jumps feel a bit too floaty and enemy encounters feel a bit weird. But you did a nice job!
The game is good, it lacks a lot of polish and player feedback, but otherwise it was really good :)
one of the best games that i played today! love the pixel art and sound design!

Hi! Really great entry. I had to enlarge the game as parts of the game were cut off in the embedded version. I quite enjoyed the floaty jumping. Artwork was simple but effective. Bonus points for the character named Luna as that's my cat's name
the music and art are sublime but that jump sfx is tough to live with. other than that it's a very nice entry, was really fun to play with it, great job!
The game was fun and the boss was good ! I liked it well done

2023-05-02 11:48
Graphics are a bit lacking but very charming. Music is good, and the screen transitions are very satisfying. A few bugs here and there. Strangest design choice to me is that the goal is to jump on enemy's heads but you will sometimes get damaged for doing so if they are doing a vertical attack. Some indication of this would be nice.
Nice game.I am happy to play it and i finally beat the boss. The wings of the boss is so cool.
Camera sometime seems weird.Control of the charactor need more polish.Use mouse to continue talking is a little weird when i use keyboard to play.
The game turned out to be much deeper than it seemed at first glance. The boss fight was really cool. I liked the style in general. It was surprisingly pleasant to return to the beginning!
Yeah, the controls are a bit stiff and sturdy i missed a bit of polish on that, but despite that, nice story, art, idea.
Great music and fun platforming gameplay! Finished the game! Impressive completeness! Only issue was that it was a a bit cut-off playing in the browser (playing full screen is too slow cos have high-dpi screen)
edit: oh yeah, I don't really know how I defeated the boss, that was a bit random I guess

Beating the boss was slightly confusing, I wasn't sure what I was supposed to do and what I ended up doing, but beat the game anyways. Could have used a bit more polish but can't have everything with the time limit being what it is

There were some glitches, but I like the mechanics. The game looks great for 72 hours!
@triangle-point I really enjoyed this game overall, it took me a bit to figure out how to damage the enemies without being hit. I did find a pretty game breaking bug though, you can double jump on every wall constantly, meaning you can skip the parkour completely by jumping on the walls, and then to go further with that when you start the game there's the entrance door with a wall above it, you can jump on that wall and go out of bounds of the camera and it will eventually teleport you to the boss door itself, making you skip the entire game completely, then you just beat the boss and take the package back.
Why am I playing as pinguinz0?
Nice pretty standard platformer. I love wall jumping mechanic. The small packages were difficult since they rush you and the final boss was pretty difficult too (made easier by the spawn in the boss room :P). The king was super chill. All in all nice small and neat game. Keep it up.

I liked the music/sounds and the platforming physics were on point! I wasn't sure exactly what to do with the boss but with unlimited retries I managed to defeat them. Thanks for the game! :)
Nice and interesting platformer game. Enjoyed playing it! Great spin on the topc with the undelivered packages.
That was funny!
I love the story. A grim apocalypse rules by undelivered packages. brilliant.
I also love the design of the characters. you have Moist Critikal, Slime woman, and box ghost! The final boss was also a really cool unexpected twist, and I like how you have to go back to the start of the game to deliver the package. Nice work!
I recorded myself playing to *DELIVER* maximum feedback. ha!

*Bows* GOAT
Funny and unique take on the theme, I love the idea of a world ruled by packages!
The enemies were maybe a little difficult to deal with as they could also jump. The final boss felt especially impossible to dodge, but the campfire being there made it also impossible to lose.
Everything else about the game was great though; the art looks good and fits the game, and the addition of dialogue is impressive for a 48 hour project!

Nice little platformer. I liked how the camera moved between each area (although sometimes it seemed to jump around a bit). Character jumping seems a little off, but well done on your game.

Hey there, lovely art!
I really liked the music and sprites in the game, movement also feels rather smooth.
Visually the game is very cohese, although I just figured I could kill packages by jumping on them by accident inside the dungeon. The area that seems to explain about the jump wasn't very clear. Also, the walking animation is a bit off in timing, it feels like it starts way too late and continues after I stopped. Oh, and was there anything I could do with the ghost-in-a-box guy? Couldn't figure it but he looked very cute!
The music was very good and the sound effects felt fitting.
Gameplay-wise, I wish the dialogs could be advanced by clicking anywhere in the dialog. I spent a few clicks around until I understood I had to click the Click text. Jumping and moving was smooth, although there's some weird clipping in some screen transitions inside the dungeon. The boss could also show some kind of effect once hit, I started to believe it would never die.
There were some silly events at the beginning, since I hadn't figured how to kill boxes: it managed to hit me from behind Luna's place, and also killed me during chat. But I'd always respawn right near Luna anyway.
Overall, a solid platformer, kudos for making all that in 2 days!

I don't understand how to avoid enemy. Maybe the story is good but I don't good on this game. I jump on this boxes and lost life :c, I also try avoid box, but then it jump on me. Camera move weird. Graphic and sound is ok. It nice with campfire save point. Also it will be better to jump to next dialog with some keyboard. If in you game player use keyboard to play why he must use mouse to dialog?
@tomeyro Sorry about the collisions, I agree they can be jankey sometimes. I'm glad it didn't hinder the rest of the game and you enjoyed the rest!
@randompickle13 Thank you so much, happy you enjoyed it!
@kgurniak91 Sorry, no hit runs are impossible :/ probobly because the damage detection is a bit messy. None the less, I'm so happy you enjoyed the rest of the game! Thank you!
@stormsword The wall jump wasn't intended, but I used it a lot during development to play through the game so I guess it is a feature, lol! I'm so happy you had fun playing!
@smeljey Sorry you feel this way about the movement and jump, still I am so happy you liked the rest!
@legingergamer You know how Ludum Dare goes with polish, like peanut butter and nails, lol! Still, sorry about the lack of polish! Happy you liked the rest!
@polinachrr Thank you so much, it means a lot to me! I'm extremally happy you liked playing!
@tofucat Bet your cat is awesome with a name like that! Sorry about the cut off, I'm not good with web design. I'm so happy you liked the rest!
@bartalomew Thank you so much for the kind words about the music and art, it means a lot! I'm so happy you liked my game!
@adamlenglen Thank you so much! I'm so happy you liked playing!
@ynot01 Didn't want to spend time on a melee attack and I thought it would be goofy to jump on the enemy heads. Sorry you didn't like it. None the less, thank you for your kind words and I am so happy you enjoyed playing!
@cloistered Sorry about those issues, those were all things I glossed over because of time constraints (you know how Ludum Dare is :)) I'm so glad you picked up on the wings, thought it would be a funny inclusion! Thank you and I'm so happy you liked playing!
@filgreen3 Sorry about the polish, Ludum Dare things :)! Thank you for your thoughts about the art and story, I'm so happy you liked playing!
@teadrinker Congratulations on finishing the game! Thank you for all you kind words, it means a lot! Sorry about the web cut off, not good with web stuff.
@savolae Congratulations on beating the game! The boss really does need to be telographged better! None the less, thank you for playing and am so happy you enjoyed it!
@obe-dot Thank you for your kind words, it really means a lot! I'm, so happy you liked it!
@congeesetador That was originally a bug, but I used that a lot during development because I thought it was fun and thought I would keep it in for anyone who found it, lol! However, I didn't realize the thing about the entrance, thank you for letting me know! Anyways, so happy you enjoyed the game!
@zimonitrome I thought if someone were to save the world it would be him and its a funny inclusion. I'm so happy you liked playing my game, thank you!
@boon Great that you beat him! Thank you for all your kind words and I am so happy you like my game!
@madelaine21 Thank you so much! Happy you liked playing!
@hellhound That was my main goal when making the game and knowing that you found fun warms my heart! Thank you!
@100th-coin Dude, I am honored that you recorded yourself playing and put it on YouTube, it made my year seeing that! I loved watching your video so much, it was great seeing someone other than myself play it and you are such an entertaining video creator, keep going with that! I truly can't thank you enough! Sorry about the ultra-wide screen bugs. I don't have an ultra wide screen so I never experienced any of those issues when play testing. Happy that didn't hinder your experience though! Thank you so much for all your kind words, they really mean a lot! I'm beyond happy and grateful that you enjoyed my game! Thank you!
@josephgallear The enemies are a bit tough, thought that too. Happy it didn't ruin anything though and I am so happy you liked playing! Thank you!
@wevel Thank you so much! I'm happy you liked playing! Sorry about the camera issue, that was a bug I was having a lot and I'm not really sure how to fix it :/
@niz Thank you so much! I'm really happy you enjoyed playing! You are able to talk to the ghost-in-a-box guy the same way you talk to Luna by hitting "E" on your keyboard. Sorry that wasn't clear but none the less I am happy you had a good time!
@makuck95 Sorry about all those issues, I really hope they didn't mess up the play through. To kill the enemies you need to jump on their heads (with the boss at the end you need to jump on his head 20 times), you will still take damage a lot of the time though because the hit boxes on them are a bit messed up. The dialogue thing with the mouse was done due to time constraints (you know how Ludum Dare goes ;)), I wanted to have a button but I'm not good with the new input system so I didn't want to spend time on it. Thank you so much for playing and your feedback, hope you had a good time!
It's definitely a bit janky but I enjoyed it nonetheless, a lot thanks to the music which really got me hyped up.
@silkworm-sweatshop I am so happy you felt that way about the music, that is always a big goal of mine is to have the music get people going! Thank you so much, I am so happy you liked playing!

@triangle-point Actually that seems pretty logical now, I feel stupid hahaha! For some reason I tried pressing S and 5 when near it because of the drawing in the box.

Damn the music is so cool! I'm so jealous, how did you make multiple tracks that just sound so good ?!
Otherwise the game is fun, I love the style and the humor. The enemies and boss are cool but a bit clunky, or maybe a bit to hard to predict. The player movement could be improved, maybe a bit less floaty but you get used to it. Really cool game and well done on the overall ambiance, music and style. Good job !

That's a nice little platformer! The controls could use a bit more polish, also the enemies don't restore health on player respawn - which removes from the challenge a bit.

That music was absolutely banging. Really fun to control. idk if infinite jumping was intended, but you can infinite jump alongside a wall. Also I got my head stuck in a box at some point and couldn't continue (while fighting the flying guy)

Pretty funny entry, had some good laugh !
I don't know if it has been already said but the jump can be exploited to climb walls really fast. Keep up ! :D

@firellon Sorry about the lack of polish (Ludum Dare things :), but I'm so happy it didn't effect the experience! So happy you enjoyed playing! Thank you!
@roalinn Thank you so much, it really means a lot that you liked the music! I'm happy you liked it!
@ollie-d I'm so happy you liked the music! The infinite jumping is half intended, half not (I've talked about it in a previous post), lol! That box stuck on your head is the Ultimate Package and it means you beat the boss! You now must take it back to the Slime Girl at the begining (Luna) and deliver it to her! Sorry that wasn't clear enough! Hope you had fun playing!
@arthur-sorignet-gautrot That was always my main goal was it to be fun/funny, it means a lot that you think that!
@xbcw Thank you so much! I'm so happy you enjoyed it!
@pazzi Love that picture so much! I'm so happy you liked the game! Thank you!

Good job! I like that you have to bring back the package at the end. I think there could have been a bit more feedback on when you damage an enemy. The jumping on the head was a bit glitchy at times. Especially in the boss room. Overall well done! Great music. I enjoyed it.
@kopako Thank you so much, so happy you liked it! Sorry about the bugs, you know how Ludum Dare goes!
Really nice entry! Graphics are really cool.
The game feels a bit buggy sometimes (music stops, ennemies following us in other rooms (? maybe intended), we can re-jump when touching the edge of a plateform or flying over one)
Overall a very nice entry ! Well done.
@donamougou Thank you so much, I'm so happy you enjoyed it! The jump was originally a bug, but I used it so much when play testing and I found it fun so I thought I would keep it in for those who wanted it.
@triangle-point Yeah good idea, it helps a lot ! :)
@donamougou Happy you liked its inclusion!
The idea was brilliant and super fun! Loved the story and the graphics
Some things I notices: - At the beginning if you go to the left the map glitches and goes up. - The hearths (life) overlap - The first box hides besides the house if you don't kill it, still attacking you
Funny game. I love that the tower you climb through is entirely made out of duct taped together boxes. The boss fight was a little wonky I wasn't sure if I was doing the right thing but I eventually won. If you were to expand this game maybe add some more visual feedback. The guy you play as looks like the host from that old Cartoon Network show Destroy Build Destroy. Dialog and story were super silly. Gave me a chuckle. Good job.
Great game! I'm especially impressed by how much quality music there is for a compo entry. Really enjoyed the unique concept as well.
The only issues I had were with the camera going back and forth randomly when I tried to jump sometimes. But other than that, a very enjoyable little platformer! It was just the right length :)
Funny intro with style. Really like the character animation difference between walking, idle, and jump. overall was digging the music and art. But I have to join the haters on the jump sound. Easy fix though. Its just too sharp in the ear..pitch?
Great game, awesome graphics. Unfortunately I was not able to finish the game, the final box kept getting stuck on my head. The controls are a bit finicky, especially around walls and edges.
Cool game! You can cheese it by jumping on the outside wall straight to the finish but still a nice story. The camera had some issues and the music is a bit repetitive. Awesome job tho! Now we need a chapter 2
I enjoyed it. The unpredictability of the enemies made it exciting to walk into a new area, because I was never sure what was going to appear. I wasn't sure how to kill the final box. I got him stuck in the corner and kept jumping on his head.
Nice game! I will say the AI is rather impressive, and the final boss was very cool! I think my biggest bit of feedback is to maybe spend a bit more time analysing the movement systems in other platformers and tweaking your game to be a little more satisfying to play. It may just be me, but I did find the platforming a little annoying at times. But cool game regardless!

It's a hard game for me, but for some reason I can't stop playing it. Because I'm having fun! And when there is a dialogue with the NPC, the box kills me right in the house (

Nice game, feels like the most complete game I've played so far. Controls are a little wonky (Having to click text rather than a key) and the camera was a little odd, but nice work. Music was also great.
Nice game! Played it to the end and enjoyed it quite a bit.

What a delightfully quirky game!! I love the music and the characters. I gotta say the enemies are a bit janky, the boxes spawn right in your face when you switch screens and give you no time to react, and the final boss has very erratic movement and keeps teleporting around. Thankfully there are many generous checkpoints so the experience is all good! I really enjoy simple platformers in general so this was a treat.
Decent game all around. The enemies are a bit hard to deal with. Especially the boss. But a nice little quirky game. Good job!
That was really fun to play :) There was a little bug with a jittery camera, but i loved the sound design. Great work!
I liked the idea, it was a fun concept. I think some more feedback on the boss would be helpful, I wasn't really sure what was affecting it until I read the hint you posted. And I also had some of the camera issues mentioned above.

+ Interesting world, I liked the sprites. + There were some problems with the camera sometimes making it a bit difficult to know where to go.
@noam-blei Thank you so much! Sorry about those bugs, must have slipped my mind when I was layer rendering everything. So happy that it didn't effect your experience, so happy you liked the game!
@paul-avallone I'm so glad you enjoyed playing, it means a lot! Thank you!
@joe-cowman Thank you so much! I am so happy you liked it!
@ben-toosey Sorry about the camera issues, I really got learn how to code cameras better, lol! None the less, I am so happy it didn't get in your way and you had a good time! Thank you!
@jampla-games Yeah, sorry about the jump, everyone hears things differently (audio science is so cool) so I totally understand the jump sound being bothersome. I am so happy though you enjoyed the music and art! Thank you so much!
@stefanholst That box that gets stuck on your head is the Ultimate Package (you got it because you beat the boss), you now need to take it back to the slime girl, Luna, at the beginning of the game in order to complete the Ultimate Delivery and save the world! Sorry that wasn't clear enough in the dialogue, first time writing scripts for characters (in case you missed it too, hit "E" when near a character to talk to it and left click the text box to continue the conversation)! Hope you will give it another try and save the world, but none the less I am super happy you still enjoyed your time while you played it!
@thomaspixelart It means so much that you want a chapter 2, I am beyond happy you liked playing! I heard about the skip, completely unintentional (the wall jump was, however), maybe it can become a speed run strat, lol! Thank you so much for your kind words and, again, I am so happy you liked the game!
@unitoftime Thank you so much, it means a lot! I'm so happy you liked the game!
@miraculousmelon Thank you so much, the AI was quite the challenge but I'm so glad you liked it! Sorry about the movement! Nevertheless, I'm so happy it didn't hinder your experience and you liked the game! Thank you!
@georgy It means so much you found the game fun, that was always the main goal! Thank you so much! I am so happy you had fun playing!
@kankje Sorry about the camera issues. So glad it didn't effect your playing and I'm so happy you liked it! Thank you!
@jclardy Thank you so much! I am really happy you enjoyed it! Sorry about those issue, didn't have time to iron those out because of time constrains (you know how Ludum Dare goes :))!
@nick-baggett Thank you so much! I am so happy you enjoyed it!
@fupi Thank you so much, it truly means a lot everything you said! I am extremally happy you liked the game!
@michael-harris Thank you so much! I am so happy you liked it!
@fachscahfttf Sorry about the camera bug. I'm so happy you liked the game otherwise! Thank you!
@reed-molbak Yeah, the game does lack some polish, Ludum Dare things :) Still, I am so happy you like the game! Thank you!
@ellaris Thank you so much! Sorry about the camera bugs, didn't have time to iron those out (damn Ludum Dare ;)! Hope you enjoyed playing otherwise!
Really enjoyed the game, especially the intro and the theme overall. :) "LET'S GET READY TO RUMBLE"!

Ennemy collision are a bit clingy and could feel better with more feedback, also the physics of main character could use some tuning. I loved the art though + I really enjoyed the "credits" cutscene intro. With a bit more time for tuning I'm sure you'd get it real smooth, well done !
Super cute and cheeky game! It would be helpful if the enemies turned red or flashed when they were hit, because it was a bit hard to tell whether they were damaged. Also, the music was super fun, but the jumping seemed really loud to me, especially because you have to do it so often. Excellent job overall!
The music is really nice as is the art. The final boss fight felt a little random. I wasn't sure if the damage I'd dealt stayed after my death and but then the boss just kind of died. I liked the humoristic elements and in general, I've enjoyed the game.
@clarkdjent Thank you so much! I'm so happy you liked it!
@buloz Yeah, didn't have much time for tuning (damn Ludum Dare :)). Still, I am so happy you enjoyed playing! Thank you!
@emmelinee Sorry about those issues, none the less I am so happy you liked the game! Thank you!

what a nice little adventure! i enjoyed the world constructed by boxes, in general i love this over-the-top take on the delivery theme! also would like to point out the sprites switching from facing forward to facing sideways, which is a neat touch i don't think i've seen many or any games do!

Cool game ! I love the little narrative and humor. The jump is a bit tricjy to handle but not impossible and the boss fight is EPIC ^^ Very nice entry !
Hey! I really liked the art style, the music and general silliness of it :D. The fixed camera, albeit a bit janky in places, was a great addition. The box AI worked well. It would have been nice to have some visual/audio feedback when you jump on top of them, especially for the boss fight. Overall i'm very impressed with all the little polished details you included, it made the game feel high quality. Really well done!
Nice game! I like the opening scene with the story. I think the jump sound should be mixed down a whole lot in volume. It could also be variated or changed. The music feels quiet compared to it because it's so loud, and that bothered me a bit. But well done anyway! :)

Pretty cool, I liked the overall premise and the platforming was pretty good as well! When I was fighting the boss I felt like there was some jank, it wasn't really clear if I was hurting him or if I was attacking him during an actual opening. Respawning in the middle of the fight felt a bit like I was using an exploit. Still pretty slick for the time you had to make it, well done!

I beat the game! It was an enjoyable experience. The camera transitioning between rooms was very smooth. I also noticed that you added some leniency on the timing when you press the jump button to when the jump actually occurs! I wasn't a big fan of the floaty feeling on the jump though, nor the sound effect. Impressive making a boss fight! Good job!
@dishwand @mow @arachnid56 @mrsilfverhelmet @terquey @coatline Thank you all so much! It truly means a lot all the nice things you are saying, because of you all I can continue to pursue the dream I've had since a kid! I am beyond grateful and happy you like my game!
I love the idea of an evil box, the art flows so naturally, and the jump is perfectly. Just all the elements line up well and feel natural. I appreciate this as an example of how to do good platforming. Have a good rest of your ludum dare!

we had so much fun, enjoyed it. cool!
This has the chaotic energy and crazy jank of early newgrounds games, kinda fun! I love the little touches like generous continue points, an unpassable wall at the start to prevent the player killing themselves, and camera repositioning points, to offset the floaty platforming and overall randomness.
Fun little game! Good job

2023-05-06 21:29
Well that was nice.
Would benefit from some coyote-time (a bit of slack between registering the player is off of the platform and still accepting jump inputs goes a long way). Also I think the camera snaps a bit too hard when entering new rooms.
I do really appreciate that there are checkpoints! That unfortunately also introduces a bit of a 'problem' (not for the player though), in that the boxes don't really respawn, but stay defeated, or where they where, making it easy to skip past them when you reset at a checkpoint sometimes.
Defeated the big boss package by just standing on its head. Just as well!
Some good music as well.

Lovely visual and art style. The music is as good as the art with a chill mood to it. The game is quite fun but difficult at first. Took me some tries before getting used to it. It is really fun when you managed to get a bit βfastβ. The boulder and avalanche can be unforgiving though. Maybe having one life before losing would have make it a bit less frustrating when you get unlucky laughing
Overall the game is just awesome! Well done thumbsup

great game and creative theme! I think the movement mechanics could do with polishing and a bit more hand-holding on how to defeat enemies
I just love pixel art put to good use, good work!
My only suggestion would be to add like a skip cutscene button

hahaha omg that IS Charlie! Cool little game! I think it'd be more interesting if the level resets when the player dies, and at the end I wasn't sure if my jumping on them was doing anything. Maybe adding some kind of FX when the enemies take damage would be helpful.
I like the music and animations. The boss was a cool concept but I wish there was an indicator for how much health it had left. I also wish the enemies didn't come at me immediately upon entering a new room. The games got text and a story and animations and different music and lots of little things that make it feel very polished. Great work

Nice little platformer. The jump is working a bit wonky as well as the boss fight. I also lack the visuals when I get damage. Love the pixel art style!

Fun storyline and cool music! The controls felt a bit floaty, which made the platforming kinda tedious. Still solid compo entry, well done

Simple game and jumping feels a bit slow, but it's really funny to have to run away from packages
Nice little short platformer, loved the premise and the overall controls felt great! Good job! Lovely little timewaster ^-^

So.... because I order so much stuff I probably helped contribute to the end of the world in this timeline. I did say I wanted to be a villain when I was a kid, so that works. :)
Compo game with intro, very nice! Also dialogue, 2 phase boss and Moist Critikal as main character. 10/10 π
Very well presented in terms of pretty graphics and slapping music and the intro! Some funny story elements and premise C:
Gameplay itself felt a little lackluster, speed and gravity unbalanced relative to platform distances, but I got used to it, and figuring out I could walljump helped a lot. Enemies felt a bit too random without enough feedback so I didn't really know how well I was doing against the boss until it was suddenly gone. Campfire checkpoints were nice to have, especially there.
Music as most have pointed out is fantastic and I definitely spent some extra time just listening to each track πΆ Unfortunately I found the jump sound way too loud so I had to turn the volume so far down during the level that I couldn't hear the music π’ But I did come back to just listen to it without moving after I beat it!
If the gameplay could be polished to the level of the already amazing art and music I think this could be even cooler! π¦

So I'm guessing from others' comments that I wasn't wrong and I was playing as Moist Critical hahah. It's a nice platformer overall. The story is quite simple, but fun. I think the mechanics definitely would need some improvement, as fighting with the boxes especially doesn't feel that much satisfying, and jumps feel quite stiff. I think of all things I liked about music the most. Especially that beginning "Get ready to ruumblee" haha. Overall, good job!
Nice work, particularly on having an interesting final boss. If I had to give one constructive feedback it would be to working on jump and run physics/control that feels nicer. I recommend this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zWi0jgghGcI

Pretty neat take on the theme! I would mirror what some other people said here about the sort of unwieldy movement controls. The enemies are also quite hard to dodge, as it seems like they jump when it's almost impossible to dodge them. Definitely impressive to make a platformer like this in the Compo timeframe though!
