Not bad, colours hurt my eyes :P. I love the different weapons, over all not bad at all :)

Not bad, colours hurt my eyes :P. I love the different weapons, over all not bad at all :)
OMG DYNAMITE HEADDY/GUNSTAR HEROES sfx. My type of game! This is totally full of that lovely old Taito stuff, really reminds moe of Bubble Bobble which is fantastic! The pixel art, the sounds, everything is super awesome! Well done indeed! ^__^
Really REALLY love the graphics and tone of this game, it's very top notch. Plus I actually love the gameplay, picking up those powerups to creature illusions was really interesting. Only gripe I have is when you die, the audio was super loud and high pitched which hurt me ears! (Other than that, everything was great!)
God that dude has some serious bowel problems, surprised he's not shat himself yet. Overall, simple yet addictive game with some toilet humor splashed in, which makes it all the more great! :)
It was really good, at first didn't get the mechanics, but then I saw the little icons and soon worked it out. It was really fun, I love the music and the graphics dude!
I really enjoyed this! The way that your "weapon" had three different ways that it could be used was a brilliant idea. The artwork is pleasant along with the music. Felt very good to play also, top stuff!
Very nice indeed. I went onto hard mode at first and was like OH MY GOD, but after some practice on the other difficulties it became a lot easier (still very challenging.) Very good music also, was nice to dust off the old GBA emulator! Great stuff!
Overall a nice solid game, has a pretty cool mechanic with the weapon/bullets. Ran fine on my computer. Over all good stuff!
I love the graphical style to this! It somewhat gives me those feelings when I used to doodle carnage on my school books. The atmosphere is spot on and the gameplay is actually quite fun, gives me somewhat of a Rampage sort of vibe! Awesome stuff!
I love the pixel art! There is also a lot to the gameplay as well! Plus another game that has urine in it! It's going to be my quest to find all the games that contain pee!
Anyway great stuff, really solid game!
I really like the thought behind the game, very nice indeed. Very clever as well. The gameplay was actually in my opinion really quite well done. I love how the gravity pulls you down, so it makes dodging a little harder which makes the game seem more fun and tense. Over all very solid game!
Lovely little time waster, love the audio a lot in this game. Very nice mechanic in switching the weapons to get rid of the certain enemies. Good stuff!
I feel the controlling of the characters to be somewhat floaty and stiff. However once me and my friend got used to it, it was a pretty fun and hectic multiplayer game. Pretty good job! :)
Sometimes where the guys were at, made it almost impossible to complete the level due to the strict timer. Also seeing the start screen all the time, made me put off a little bit. (Really needed a quick start) Other than that, great simple graphics, good controls and a nice simple beat. :)
Sort of wished the graphics would reflect how thought provoking the game is. Nice gameplay, could be a bit better but overall the mood is fantastic.
My high score was 520. It was somewhat hard to aim and move. felt a little stiff. But overall not bad game :)
Very lovely game! I love the clear graphics and the game play yet simple is extremely addicting and has a layer of complex strategy. The sound effects were cute and added to the over all humor. Would of liked some music to go along with the frantic bee shooting but it's nothing major.
Overall very solid and polished game, one the bests I've seen this LD! :)
Looks absolutely bloody lovely! The mood and atmosphere with the music is top notch and very well done. The gameplay is pretty solid too, even those it's not overly innovative it's still great! One of my favourite games on 'ere!
Some reason it lags a little bit on my computer sadly, however this did not stop me really getting into it! I love the mechanics a lot in this and it takes some skill to pull of hitting all guards/enemies in a row. But when you do, it feels awesome! The art looks amazing and the music fits well too! Great stuff! :D
MAN. THE 80'S VIBE. IT'S SO GOOD. *cough*
Anyway, I really enjoyed this, even though sometimes those blocks got a little glitchy (going through walls, doing weird stuff when colliding with each other) it was so much fun! The music, the gameplay, the mood, everything was extremely well done. I hope you expand on this because it was seriously a lot of fun!
Awesome work dude!
I think the idea of the game becoming harder the more powers you get was an interesting one. I felt it could of been done a little better but with the time it's understandable. I really like the graphics though and the humor was great! Sadly no sound effects but reading your reasoning why I'm glad we got the game instead! :)
I think the idea with the cloud with the elements was a neat idea but it's sadly hindered with bugs. Sometimes I'd get stuck in objects, music would endlessly loop over each other, animations wouldn't show and the enemies wouldn't die. Other than that, it seems like it has potential and I bet given more time I'd be awesome :)
I love the graphics and the innovation of using your mop as a weapon. The thing that let it down for me was that sometimes the people would all group together and it was extremely difficult to mop them away to the exits.
Other than that, well solid game! Great stuff!
Really interesting game, I love how it told a story (and how it did it.) It was fun, a bit confusing at the first but in the end it was pretty good. :)
Well then. I was hoping I wasn't the only one that had urine in it! It's pretty cool, HUGE download though! I like the game play and the humor is spot on for me! Great job!
It's sadly lacking audio which is a shame because I feel like the art style and humor is good. I also like the art style too, I'd love to see what would of developed given more time. :)
Had to go and find my controller :P And it was a good job I did as it's not too bad, I like the idea behind this, having to control two players at the same time. Although I did do far better once one died and I can solely concentrate on one space ship. Overall it's pretty fun, solid gameplay as well!
Really enjoyed playing this! It seems like a nice little time waster and the ice/bomb movements were really solid. At the end I was pulling some sick moves while killing all the enemies! Great job!
Reminds me when I used to play the mini games on my Game Boy Camera. Good stuff, simple yet pretty fun to play!
I've never felt sorry for a potato so for that, this game is awesome ;). Overall it's a pretty good game, I enjoyed the game play and the over all atmosphere. Good stuff!
Wished you had some sort of way that got rid of the excess blood particles as after a while the game gets unplayable due to lag, which is a big shame because I was having massive amounts of fun shooting bodies at people!
Very nice looking game with a pretty cool idea behind the six different power ups. Although I don't feel the levels allowed you to utilize them. Feel the levels were a bit of a mess but other than that, it was a really solid and cool game! Great stuff!
I like the idea behind this game, nice little time waster but there is just a couple of things that let it down for me. One is that you can't really lose the enemies, which means it makes tagging extremely difficult to do. Secondly, the collision on the walls seems weird, so I feel like I get stuck when I shouldn't.
Other than that it's pretty good game! :)
The jump sound got a little annoying to the end and one time I got to what looked like an impossible unicorn poop section but other than that it was really simple and fun. Really good little time waster! Fantastic stuff.
Loved that Genesis style audio, man that was cool. The art style is awesome and it plays well! Loved it :)
Overall a lovely little game, very fun, I could see people sinking in a lot of time to get high scores. The pixel work is fantastic too, very good!
Didn't know what I was doing at first but after a while I picked it up and it was rather enjoyable. Sound would made the experience much better but other than that it was good :)
There was someone on there briefly and then left so I don't have much to go on by but what I've seen and read it's really awesome! I love the card game Werewolf so that's an added bonus. Making a multiplayer game in a jam is a great thing! I'll have to come back and play when more people are on the server!
Overall fantastic stuff.
Man I love this game, haunting stuff was a fantastic touch along side the sneaking style gameplay. I love the style and music as well and gives off a very lovely vibe.
Fantastic stuff! :D
Lovely style and nice simple gameplay. Was a bit lost at first but after reading what I was supposed to do it became a nice little time waster. Digging the style and mood a lot!
What a surreal and odd game. My cup of tea. Loved it!
Very nice atmosphere, the music and style really helped create a world. Was a nice and short and at the end I commited suicide by jumping off the world, nice fitting end. Overall it was enjoyable, good stuff!
I love killing everything so that's nice! Some building I couldn't blow up so I was sad about that but it's a nice little time waster and I enjoyed playing it! :)
Great idea, works really well, plus the gameplay was fantastic. Utterly brilliant for a compo entry! Fantastic stuff!
Very enjoyable little game, had much fun creating all that chaos. I liked the gameplay and the graphics were nice and cheerful, good stuff!
Fricking loved this! Very fun indeed and that music track is amazing, fits the game perfectly.
And I too have a house full of toilets.
Brilliant stuff.
I think sound would of helped this game a lot but other than that it was a nice easy game that made me want to better my score. Overall good job!
Overall it was a well design game and I had a blast playing it. Things started getting tricky near the end and hunting the remaining humans got a bit tedious, other than those little nicpicks it was damn fun! Great stuff.
I loved it, was a very good little game. Thought it was very cool how you kept on mutated through the transporters, very The Fly. The graphics and music where amazing! One of my favourite games this jam!
Great stuff! Nice gameplay and it felt well made, just wish it had some music in the background to create a more spooky atmosphere. But overall I had fun playing what I did and it'll be something I'll go back too when I have more time!
Awesome stuff!
Fan-bloody-tastic! I was super excited to play this game when I was seeing being posted on the main page and now that I have, it's amazing. The art is beautiful, the gameplay is really solid and the sounds/music is great too. It took me back to my ol' Amiga days where I'd play games like this!
Sheer awesomeness!
Very clever and fun concept. Much enjoyed infecting those "blobs". Very good little game :)
Controls were a bit weird but once you got them down it wasn't too bad. The music and sound effects were nice and the gameplay was pretty good. Overall I enjoyed it!
Overall a very lovely little game, nice pleasant graphics with solid game play. Great stuff!
It was nice a short and I utterly loved the sounds it made when the person ran away scared! Over all it was short fun and simple :)
Wow, it looks amazing, the story was great and the atmosphere was wonderful. Really good stuff, this is my kind of game and I loved it. Well done!
Lovely atmosphere and the music reminded me of Banjo-Kazooie for some strange reason.
Extremely atmospheric and creepy. Didn't know what to do at first much but then as more I got into it the more it sucked me in.Fantastic graphics, audio and mood. Loved it! Brilliant work.
Nice little game you have here. The sound effect were a little loud but other than that it was solid gameplay. It got hectic very quick which I think helped it in it's favor. Overall very nice!
Fricking love this game, one of my favourites I've played this jam! The music, the graphics the gameplay everything was just top notch. I'm totally getting that soundtrack, amazing.
Loved the graphics, reminded me lots of Another World which is one of my favourite games. I also felt the gameplay while a little clunky was really well thought out. Over all it was a great game I enjoyed playing it!
Very lovely game. Fantastic graphics and amazing setting, was such a good idea. Loved it!
The controls were a little off I felt but once you got used to them it didn't really matter. The whole setting was well done and the idea was brilliant. I bit more time for polishing would be awesome as I'd love to see this game get developed more. Over all great stuff!
Great style, I love games with this type of style. The gameplay was nice a simple too, overall it's a nice little time waster. Great stuff!
Really interesting little game! Very clever I thought. Only thing I felt let it down was the fact that the human can get stuck on tables, walls ect. Other than that, jolly good stuff!
Very fun killing everything you see and trying to get multiple kills. I had much enjoyment for this, over all great stuff!
Nice relaxing game I felt, nice art style to it too. But man don't I suck at juggling. Well done :)
Mmmm Poop. Nice and fun, great graphics, great humor, overall it was a nice little time waster! Very good indeed :)
Man that ending! Had lots of fun trying to beat my high score on killing those poor innocent people! Brilliant stuff, utterly loved this.
Love the style of the game very much, also the music was great as well. The whole atmosphere of the game was top notch. Only thing I felt was a bit off was the respawning, sometimes I'd respawn and get hit by tons of "meatballs". Other than that little thing it was great! Awesome stuff.
Man was an awesome game! Loved the whole feel and gameplay, was very good indeed. Great stuff!
The controls/gameplay were spot on, the action was really good as well. The graphics are fantastic and the sound is well done also. I loved just breathing my fire on those poor innocent peeps. I wish there was more 'cause it's a really solid game!
Despite it's glitches and bugs it's still a nice pleasent game and I enjoyed having a blast with it! :)
Wow, what a lovely game! The combat at first was a nightmare, it was really hard to beat things up, but once I got used to how it worked it felt solid and I was punching up things in no time. The whole idea is great, the graphics are stunning. It felt like a really good Game Boy Color game which is amazing! Very well done!
Was fun, enjoyed having a blast playing it and I also loved the humor. Great stuff!
Great stuff dude! If I wasn't super tired I'd carry on playing much longer :P. Have to come back to while we're at Insomnia! :D
Very nice looking game. It was short and fun, with some slight glitches 'ere and there (enemies getting stuck in walls and I could warp out of bounds.) Other than that, it was really well made and I love the graphics. Great stuff!
Man what a lot of fun! Destroying all those building, blowing up those innocents, hell ya!
It took a while before things started getting real crazy but other than that, it was really fun! The controls were solid and the music was totally kicking. Loved it, great stuff!
It played well and it was nice to keep trying to best your score. It was solid gameplay and I liked it when the enemies jumped, it felt cheeky! Overall good!
Overall I enjoyed nomming on those unsuspecting humans. Nice concept and I liked the humor! :)
Wow! That's super beautiful, the mood, the style just everything was lovely. Super awesome game this is, very well done!
I love the art sytle of this game and the gameplay was really solid. After a few tries I was dodging and sneaking past thoses cops to gobble my foes with ease. Awesome stuff!
Rather challenging but that's something I like. The humor, audio, graphics were just fantastic, amazing stuff right here. Loved it so much! Great work!
This was bloody fantastic, I loved it. It looked beautiful, it played amazing and the story/diary elements are great. One of my favourite LD games!
Overall rather enjoyable! Was fun to play :) Good stuff!
Looks lovely, took a while to figure out what to do though but none of the less it was a cool game. (Did managed to fall off the edge though!) Great stuff!
Wow, that was a hella lot of fun just smashing those humans. The sound effects also gave it a great comedic value. Very good stuff!
Really well done, short and extremely fun. I love the humor also, exactly my cup of tea.
Oh did I say, the graphics are amazing!
I loved the art style and the cute sound effects when you eat people was great. It was really short and simple and I kept playing to just beat my high score. Very good stuff!
That was fantastic! I loved everything about it, the art, music, gameplay. Just amazing work! 5/5
It looks and sounds just lovely! I had a hard time getting into the swing of things, even though I was clicking the right buttons, the orb just kept going through me sometimes. Other than that, it was actually really fun! Great stuff!
This is amazing! I really love the graphics and the mood this gives off! The gameplay is hectic and brilliant as well. Fantastic job here, one of my favourites!
This was a great simple little game, very nice graphics, simple, retro love it. Nice gameplay too! Overall, great job!
(And to answer your question, I did no preparation what so ever. It would defeat the purpose and ruin all the fun of sleepless nights!)
Other than getting stuck in two trees, it was rather fun! I didn't get what immunity does. It was pretty cool little game! Very good indeed.
Wow, I enjoyed this game very much! Lovely graphics, nice gameplay. Took a slight while to get into the groove, but once there it was really enjoyable. Very good overall! :D
Man, this was one of the best games I've played this jam, simple mechanics, speed-running, that soundtrack, man that was so good. All ran really smooth as well. Top marks overall :)
I didn't quite get it I'm afraid. I loved the gameboy palette as I'm a sucker for that sort of stuff.
I felt I moved way too fast, and sometimes I couldn't shoot, or got stuck in walls. Plus those "pots/barrels" would sometimes get destroyed and sometimes they wouldn't.
There is a lot of potential here I feel, it just the controls and lack of direction seem to hinder it. I would love it see how it could get developed, it's a good start :)
It was rather tricky, due to the size of things and trying to click on them. It was a nice simple game and I felt it was rather well done, found some little bugs here and there but nothing too major. Solid entry overall
Very hard but looks lovely and plays great! Good job!
For six hours it was actually really good. Even though there isn't much too it, it was well done and solid. Very nice little relaxing game :)
Liked the mechanics of this game as well as the great pixel art. The particle effects were fantastic too, long with the simple yet challenging gameplay. Good stuff!
Man, that messed with my mind but in a totally good way! I loved the graphics and the gameplay was really mind melting. Utterly loved it, one of my favourites!
That was one of the best games I've played for a jam in a very long time. It was beautiful and it played extremely well. It gave me such a Sega Saturn vibe! The whole atmosphere, gameplay, artwork, sound was just spot on. Perfect score dude!
That was really good! I really loved the simple yet interesting and challenging gameplay to this. Once I got down the length/guy's shirt I starting pulling off some combos! (Although I couldn't help myself in making THE LONGEST TIE EVER MADE. Must of pressed the tie making key at least 200 times.)
Also the performance chart at the end was a lovely addition, it really does make you want to come back and better your score and combo chain.
Overall top quality stuff!
Took a while to get into it, but once I did it was actually rather neat. Needs a little work doing to it but overall it was good fun!
(answering your question on my submission: The theme is growth, like the character grows and gets strong through the game. Also the bosses are forms of metamorphosis of a moth. (I did have a planned story of a growth virus but I didn't have time to stick it in >.<)
(I was just about to play ye game when ye left a comment on mine! Weird >.<)
As usual I utterly love your style, the art is gorgeous! All those lovely filters and effects are amazing.
Also the music and little funny sound effects were great too. The gameplay was simple but effective and it was great trying to beat your highest combo! Great work as usual! :D
(And to answer ye question, lack of sleep and lots of sugar...)
Had trouble reading a little however the whole premise was nice and relaxing. Great mood!
At first I wasn't quite sure what to do but then I somehow got the hang of it I guess, even though it was rather random. Overall it was a nice little time waster.
It took a while to get into swing of things but once I got to grips with how the towers worked I had a lot of fun! High production, great visual and audio. Amazing stuff! :D
Very nice and relaxing game I felt, even if you're taking down flies! I really like the art and audio, really captures the feeling! Great stuff overall!
Rather challenging but a very clever concept! I had fun with this game, nice little timewaster! Well done! :D
Had a couple of bugs happen, sometimes it was say "miss" even though there was nothing there and I wasn't pressing any buttons. Weird. Also after beating stage 1, the next stage weirdly didn't unlock first time.
Other than that, fantastic graphics and simple but effective gameplay. I really like the atmosphere with the music and setting.
Great stuff! :)
Thanks guys for the comments! I'll check out your games tomorrow ^_^.
And Ghostbomb, I quickly edited so now it's the delete button, hopefully that'll be better :)
That wasn't bad! I had a little game with me better half and she seemed to enjoy it. It was really nice and simple! :)
I really enjoyed this! Nice feel, nice gameplay it was just a real blast to play! My high score was 153, those pesky laser spinny things got me in the end! Overall fantastic job!
Man this looks beautiful! I love the look of this game so much! Great atmosphere, very nice indeed!
Interesting and great concept! I liked the artwork. I would of loved to see more because the whole idea was really unique. The music and atmosphere was also very nice, I liked how it evolved into colour. Great stuff!
It was a little difficult but that's how I like it! I felt the graphics were just amazing, my cup of tea! The concept was fantastic too, great stuff overall!
I oddly really loved the graphics, even though they were super simple! Nice quick easy gameplay as well! Nice stuff here! :D
Really enjoyed this, actually had more fun seeing how high and far I could bounce! I felt the game was a little too easy but other than that it was great! One of my favourites so far! ^^
Simple yet effective gameplay, I had a huge retro feel with this. The graphics were fantastic and the whole thing was my type of humor! Very thing works well together! Love it :D
At first I was like, what the heck is happening but that's what I loved about this game because it took a while to figure out, a while to get a good, and another while playing because you was hooked.
The graphics and music were so simple but extremely effective. It was a lovely game! Fantastic job!
After some tries/experimenting/figuring out stuff I finally understood and it great. Very interesting idea and the whole thing was very effective! Great job! :D
Man, what a fantastic mood and atmosphere this gives off! Lovely stuff, so relaxing and interesting! :D
I love the feel to this game although I wasn't quite sure what to do. I think I got some hang of it but then I'd get game over all of a sudden. It was nice while it lasted though and I'd like to see a fleshed out version of this game! :)
Nice little game, fun and simple! Great work here, enjoyed playing this! :D
Very simple but overall well done. It was pretty fun and enjoyable! :) I wish there was more hazards though. Good job!
Took a little while to get into the game but once I got the mechanics down, it was brilliant! Amazing idea, great amount of work into this. Loved it!
I found my self stuck a couple of times but other than that it was a really great game actually. I really loved the graphics! They were fantastic I felt. Great job overall!
For a first Ludum Dare game it's constructed very well and I had hardly any issues really. Some gameplay tweaks although might be needed as I racked 15,000+ score with only tapping the right button and not doing anything. (My highest score was 200,000+ those red berries were powerful!
The only reason I stopped playing is because after a while my arm/wrist got tired from tapping so much. I feel like those spikeballs should speed up with the faster your tapping, some sort of high risk, high reward type of gameplay as I didn't find myself jumping to avoid the spikey berries as much.
The graphics, while simple are very charming and do the job, although maybe a nice scrolling background would be nice. (Like some hills/mountains in the distance would of been nice.)
I wasn't overly keen on the music but knowing how short of a time we have it's perfectly acceptable.
Overall it was a nice solid first entry into Ludum Dare! I hope to see more!
I'm sorry my review isn't as long and detail as yours >.<
I really liked this game, great audio and graphics also the humor was spot on for me! Awesome stuff overall!
Only thing that was slightly annoying was having a bit of input lag while rotating, other than that it was a nice very clever simple idea. Very well done!
I love the graphics and the theme/concept was really good as well! Fantastic overall! Great stuff :D
Man what a lovely atmosphere! The gameplay was really unique I felt and the whole experience was a joy to play! Amazing stuff!
I sadly had to play this on my own but I will come back when I my a companion to play with.
My thoughts on the game where that it was actually really clever. I loved the mechanic of the walking/jumping. It made dodging the bullets/jumping the stairs and gaps rather fun. I got the little robot dude to start doing hops in the air. It was super fun to speed run actually!
I think it was lacking music however and the graphics, while simple and effective were a little dull. (Maybe some trees/little objects to stomp on would of been nice.) But I know how much little time there is, so overall it was a really nice charming game! I had a good time playing! Well done ^^
Overall it was actually really good. The combat needed a little work but other than that it was great, exploring the world/levels and trying to get further up the tower. Great stuff overall!:)
Fantastic! Great pixel art, solid game play, great mood, very well done!
Overall a really nice time waster, simple is sometimes the best way. Controls seemed a little off but other than that it was pleasant to play :D Good job!
Fantastic pixel art, lovely atmosphere and engaging puzzle/item system, one of my favourites I played so far. Loving the style! Great work!
*I do have a web version of me game, so that'll get around linux hopefully :)*
Overall, very solid game, even though it's EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO CATCH THOSE GOD DAMN PIZZAS! :P I sort of started to develop a nack for it but it was still extremely tricky but overall, extremely fun and challenging game, well done! :D
It played well, maybe a bit too easy and the character walks a bit slow but other than it was a nice little time waster. Was rather fun blasting away those zombies! Good stuff! :D
Bhahaha I'm really REALLY digging the humour. Really clever idea, over all really funny and good game. Fantastic time waster :D
Basic but most importantly fun to play. Simple easy fun, nice little time waster, well done! :D
Rather fun, digging the graphics and audio, sadly Unity WebGL lags on my machines for some reason so I couldn't get full enjoyment but I voted to what I thought it would be like if my machine was decent :D. Interesting mechanics, nice gameplay, solid difficulty curve, well done! Enjoyed it alot, (despite my issues >.<)
Very very beautiful game, very well done, took a while to get into it but once I did it was just fantastic. One of my favourite entries by far, fantastic work! :D
For a compo game it's very well done and it's actually very solid. While it's nothing new the puzzles were extremely well thought out and done and it had a lovely freeware charm to it which I loved. Overall very solid and great entry! :D
Fantastic! One of my favourite games I've played this game, the art, the style, the gameplay the audio, it has it all. Brilliant brilliant stuff!
Fantastic graphics, lovely atmosphere too! Simple but engaging gameplay, would of loved to see different enemies but still for 48 hours it was very well made. I loved how the enemies turned me into even more goth :P. Very well done ^^
Really nice and peaceful game, the audio of that guitar loop also helped (I really liked that piece of music.) Really simple concept put pulled off well, not too challenging but not too difficult at the same time. It really gives off a nice atmosphere. Really enjoyed it! :)
I will play later but I too want to say the theme sucked donkey dick and I also got drunk in response.
Aww please don't hate me and my game, this is honestly one of the best games I've played this jam, this has way way more style than mine. It's honestly fantastic and you should extremely proud. The gameplay is simple yet extremely clever and well done that it makes it seems challenging in the good way. Fantastic work.
(Sound tests are just the best, I love putting them in all my games ;)
Fantastic concept and gameplay, I also love the style too. It got very hectic quick though and that's when the game became even more fun! I love the whole idea as well, very well done! :D
Really fun, interesting game. Simple but yet very well made and fantastic to play. Really like the concept, great stuff! :D
For some reason it gives me a weird C64 vibe while also Sabrewulf (which was a speccy game.) Massive hit box but overall a well made game, good stuff!
Fantastic art, simple yet very fun gameplay. Brilliant stuff!
Really amazing atmosphere, solid gameplay really nice feeling to this game. Wonderful stuff! Loved it.
Very interesting and cleverly thought out game. Nice minimalistic style as well, very well done game, although I did find those beeps a little annoying other than that, well done! :D
Wow, I absolutely love the style and atmosphere! It's fantastic, great gameplay, everything about it is very well done! Fantastic job! :D
I really like the mood of this game, very well made a bit short though. Over all really good entry! Great stuff!
Really really interesting mechanics and I really dig the art style. The bike is a little weird to control, very loose turning circle but once you got used to it, it was fantastic and easy to control. Overall a very good entry!
A bit tricky to get into it, not quite sure what I'm supposed to do at first but I think I got the hang of it in the end. Overall well made game, good stuff!
Thanks for the messages guys! :D Sorry about the score bug, I stupidly left something from debug and it messed it up. Hopefully it should be all fixed now :)
Look forward to playing your games ^-^
At first I thought their fists were there feet haha, but overall it was an extremely fun and very challenging which I like! Feels really solid as well, very well made great job!
This is awesome, really fun, game! I really like how simple yet challenging game it can be smacking all those elfs back to work. I love also how Santa wobbles when he walks. Overall fantastic stuff!
It had some real nice style and with a bit more work it would be an amazing little game but of course it being a compo game I know how time can be a huge factor. However overall it was charming and fun. Overall good work.
(And yes, my game was made in 3 days, 3, caffeine filled, no sleep, stressful days.) It's my "holiday".
A really interesting game, really liked the mood and setting of the game, the story and multiple endings was a very nice touch. Overall really well made, one of my favourites so far! :D
Overall very simple but solid and fun game! I can actually relate to this little dude as well which made even more funny and great to play. I feel with more time and a bit of polish it would be a fantastic little phone/web game, there is a lot potential here. Over all very solid and well made entry! :D
I love it! Really funny! I can see this being a fantastic party game given more work with it. Great stuff! :D
Man I got overrun so quickly and I felt like I wish I could aim with the mouse and not just my direction but overall it was very well made and actually extremely fun. Nice music and effects too! Great job, look forward to seeing more! ^^
I really like the style, it makes me feel like I'm playing a game on fuzzy felt! I feel with a bit more time spent on it it'll be a very nice phone game, very unique concept, enjoyed! Well done :D
Fantastic! I really enjoyed this game, really fun, fantastic graphics. Simple but extremely well made and most importantly fun! Great stuff! ^^
It took a little while to get used to the hook mechanics but once I got that down I was swining around like a pro. (Well maybe not that good.) Sadly at first though I kept swinging through walls and out of bounds. Overall it was solid, fun and the graphic while simple were really well done. Great stuff!
(And thank you for your comments on my game, I thought there was no harm sticking it up on Greenlight, might as well get my use out of that thing ^^)
Fantastic art, really great concept, just wish it had some music to really set the mood. Overall one of the best LDjam games I've played, really solid and great stuff!
Oh man what an fantastic concept! I really loved this game, great work!
Simple, easy and playable. Very nice little time waster :D Very fun!
Gives me huge vibes from a film called Hot Fuzz (which isn't a bad thing at all.) It was eerily creepy with them being super cute but hiding a dark sinister plot behind it. Really liked the style and over all it was well done. Which wish the text was a bit more easier to read and wouldn't go off the edge, over all great stuff! :D
Wow, seriously what an amazing use of a theme, I really really dig the idea behind this, it's seriously awesome! The gameplay can feel a little floaty at times and a bit off but the idea behind it all kept me playing a little bit longer, it's 100% something I'm coming back (when I've got more time) to finish fully. Well done! :D
(And to answer your question on my game jam, yes, I made it all in under 72 hours. I had about eight hours sleep total that weekend, I honestly think I tried too much again, should of scaled it down :/ The music was made in about three hours, I just have some awesome plug-ins that help big style.)
Seriously well done on your game, it's such a great concept! :D
ONE DAY YOU WILL WIN THE HUMOUR AWARD. ONE F**KING DAY. Honestly out of the handful of games I've played and seen of this jam this has to be my favourite, the atmosphere is legit dude although the puzzles were sometimes too hard for my crappy brain.
(Yeah I know my game was too big, I wanted to see how much I could do, next jam I promise I'll reign it back in)
It was rather enjoyable, weirdly relaxing even when the monsters come at night and attack you. I liked how the audio shifted when it turned to night to a more chilled theme. I would of liked a bit more purpose to the game other than just trying to survive and possibly some graphics when I harvest materials, (like a tree falling down, or rocks breaking apart) but overall it's great work. I really like the graphics, as they're nice, simple and everything is clear and you know what things are. Over all great effort and highly enjoyable game! :D
Hey I'm usually not a fan of these types of games but this one was actually rather fun and pretty well done before a LD game. A couple of bugs and unpolished things here and there but overall pretty good! :D
Wow, extremely impressive, I love when I see games like this on LDjam, it's my cup of tea. I enjoy the small RTS type games as they're rather relaxing and easy to get into. The graphics fit perfectly in my option. At first it was easy to get stuck meaning to reset the game and I'd of loved to have more options in building stuff but for a jam game it's super impressive and shows really amazing work! Love it!
(And oops sorry about my glitch in my game, I was a fool and made the game too big and ran out of time for general polish and bug finding, and thanks for enjoying me music! I used FL studio with a couple of plugins, as it's the quickest thing to make music on when jamming.)
Wow these assets are fricking beautiful, I love those models. Even though the gameplay was simple it was actually really solid and I had no complains, quick and simple is sometimes the ticket! Weirdly peaceful with those awesome water effects. Overall a really solid game! :D
Yay saved the village, I can rest well tonight! :D
I agree with the previous posts as well, some feedback would of been nice but overall for a first Ludum Dare game is really good work and you should be totally proud of it! Learn and continue to make the next games even more awesome. It's a decent game and I enjoyed playing around with it! ^-^
It's pretty good, and I had some fun playing it which is the main point. :) Good job!
Wow what a really interesting game, I really really dig the aesthetics of this the cube worlds I'm completely digging. The game was also very solid and well done, it's addicting, I would love to see more different worlds and enemies would of been nice but overall it's fantastic, great work! :D
I only sadly played against one other player but it so oozes with charm and the graphics are so well done. I really enjoyed this game, it's one of my favourites so far! <3
The switching theme gave huge flashbacks to Ikaruga which is good thing, I feel that mechanic is often underused. It's very playable, the graphics are a bit mis-matched in places but nothing terrible. The controls seem fine and the gameplay itself is pretty solid too. Overall good entry, great little time waster! ^-^
Wonderful humour and text here, while the game play it self was really easy it was countered by the extremely awesome dialogue and the fact you chuck things into a big fiery furnace! Really loved the atmosphere that was created this well, everything seemed to gel really well. Only slight gripe was getting stuck on the walls was really easy but other than that it was such a solid and fun entry, well done! ^-^
Couldn't open the zip file :( I'll check back when it's fixed ^-^
I would of been nice to have some sort of end game or goal other than just surviving but the surviving mechanic itself is pretty well done given the time frame. The graphics are pleasing and everything seems to work just fine. I felt like it got a bit too easy once you got the upgrades but other than that a really good little time waster well done! :)
Really digging the aesthetics and mood of this game, the audio track goes well with the gameplay and style. Simple yet really puzzling gameplay, very solid and interesting take on programming your little robot friend. Overall such a solid entry really good fun, really well done! ^-^
Takes a little time to get use to swinging that mouse tail around but once you get that mechanic now you can start surviving those mass onslaught of enemies after around 20 much easier. The sfx and music is well done and the graphics fit the game wonderfully, overall a great little time waster! :D
Controls seemed a little off but nothing major, perhaps it's because I was playing the keyboard. While the gameplay was simple it was still fun and got hectic as I progressed through. I really love those character models, gives me huge 32X vibes, overall great stuff! :D
Nice simple retro feeling game, with a nice soundtrack to go alongside it. Perhaps my only gripe being a SHMUP fan is having the hitbox of the ship being the whole ship threw me off slightly but overall really nice simple time waster! <3
Wonderful wonderful graphics, fantastic mood and setting, lovely story telling. Fantastic work team, really unexpected as well which is such a great thing. Everything is really well made, top notch work guys!
And to answer the question on my jam page, I just used FLStudio(9) with the VOPM plugin. With that I have some Genesis/MegaDrive sound patches that were ripped from the .vgm files along with some drum/prec samples ripped from some titles. Then I just quickly compose some tracks using the pattern editor, which works for LDjam games :) Hope that answered ye question :)
@Shinmera I've not encountered any enemies walking through walls or glitching out, unless you're talking about them walking through the destructible terrain, which then it's supposed to happen. You can dash through enemy projectiles, (something I've not mentions as I want people to discover that for themselves, but I've spoiled that now lol.) You can customise the controls to your liking on the title screen. Ideally I'd like to of added controller support but I didn't have the time to do that and port it to flash. >.<
Great management game here, really well polished and I am a good little boy! Get extremely hectic and fun the longer you play although to counter balance you yourself get better and managing it. Sometimes switching the batteries can be a little tricky but it's nothing major. I really enjoy also that you play as A DOG! :D Overall it's extremely fun, really well made jam game! Fantastic work! ^-^
It looked great, those ants sure looked menacing! Gameplay while pretty simple and basic was sure fun and hectic towards the end when you had ants coming out of the wazoo. Only gripe I had was the mouse look was extremely sensitive and also a bit buggy, mostly on the web version. Overall fantastic work for a compo entry! :)
Great little mechanic with the swapping of the ships, really enjoyed that, felt like it gave it something new. The graphics are also very well done as well, although I felt like the difficulty curve was a bit weird, started off extremely easy for a while and then got very difficult very quickly, although it's not much because I do enjoy a good challenge. Overall very well made game, great stuff! :D
Took a little getting used to the physics and control method, sadly I wasn't able to use my bomb on the web version of the game as Left-Alt would always pause/unpause the game. Overall the graphics and music were nice and suited well with the game. Simple yet fun gameplay, well done! :D
Very clever use of the theme, might of been a bit too easy I felt but man I sucked more time into this than I thought I would. I really dig those retro graphics which fits extremely well with the game play. Overall top notch stuff! :)
Oh wow, this is really really funny, so much my humour. It was really unique as well, one of my favourite entries purely on the comedy front and the graphics/videos did an amazing job. (As well with the music.) Fantastic work and even more so fantastic puns! <3
Despite saying you only made this within 24 it's still actually pretty decent, sure it controls a little weird and you can get stuck at times but for the short amount of time frame it's still really impressive and most importantly fun. I'm super positive if you made the game within the given time frame I'm sure it'd be far much better and I like the concept of running out of mana and collecting gems, so it's a shame I can't play that version! We've all been there sadly releasing games that weren't quite finished but as a unfinished jam game this is still great. It's more of a shame that it's not completed to what you intended.
Overall great entry, really love the graphics, super cute and it fits well within the game, overall great work and I hope you make a post jam version!
Also thank you so much for that lovely review on my game, I'm extremely glad you enjoyed me game! <3
Overall it was pretty solid entry, I liked the clean look of the graphics and the gimmicks of the lights slowly fading was pretty cool. The shadow work was also very nice. I did have problems with the wall jumping, it felt really difficult to pull off, took a few tries to somewhat get it down slightly. Overall good job making this, I had fun playing it and the graphics were nice. Shame there was no music to set the mood even more.
Overall not bad at all, although had some issues with the camera being too low and those collision boxes seemed a bit off. But it was fun and great little time waster. Well done enjoyable little game! :D
One of my favourite games I've played this jam! <3 I love SHMUPS and this was fantastic. Extremely well through out mechanic with zapping the enemies to power your gun, once I got that timing down I was always at max power! Fantastic graphics, great audio everything about this was pure awesome! Love it <3
Extremely well done ^-^
Overall this was very fun to play, although the controls took a bit of time to get used too. Left Control, F, WASD/Arrows it seemed a bit everywhere but it wasn't too terribly bad. The graphics were nice and clean and did the job, it added such a good tone/mood to the game. I really loved the fact that you had enemy variety in there and the shock-gun animated great so it actually felt good when you destroyed those enemies. Fitted the theme well, everything about this game is good, would love to see it developed more into say a mobile/online game. Great stuff! :D
Look a little while to get used to this couldn't quite understand at first and then I started building shield and slowly got the hang of it. Overall actually a really decent game once you understand what you're doing. Lovely graphics and music that really sets a good tone. Overall really well done! :D
Overall very decent game, I quite like the small nature of the graphics they seem to fit the style of the game well. Some of the later levels can be really punishing if you make a wrong move though. Overall really solid entry, well done!
And to answer your questions over on my jam page, the 3000 views for the flash game is because it's on Newgrounds, a popular site for flash games, that everyone can play. It was even posted on the front page which means more exposure, and it's just me, no team. It was all made in under 73 heck a lot of stuff got cut from the finished product, like cutscenes and some levels.
Oh man those little toy dinosaurs are adorable. Took me a little time to get into it, wasn't quite sure what was happening and the AI seemed a little tough but after a couple of minutes of gameplay things seemed to improve and I had some good fun. Overall great job! :D
Extremely cool concept with the flash light which fits the theme just perfectly. I felt given more time this could be a really neat little phone or online game. It might of been a little on the easy side because I started predicting the enemies or learning where they were but overall really good use of theme.
To answer ye question on my jam page, I guess I've been making games since 2002-2003 so I've been improving since then. :)
Don't worry I've submitted incomplete stuff before to LDjam so it happens. I could see where you was going with this and given more time could of been a more fleshed out and polished game but as it stands it's not terrible and can be quite fun and challenging to play. It's all about learning and developing your skills, so I look forward to seeing what you make at the next jam! :D
I utterly utterly love the aesthetics of this game, serious vapourwave and early DOS game vibes, so relaxing. And the puzzles, extremely well thought out and tough, the idea you can't go through your jetpack trails really gives it a new dimension and element. Utterly love, well done, fantastic entry! <3
Sadly I had issues trying to open it, kept crashing on Windows10 on start up :(
Some of those levels near the end were extremely tricky considering the beginning of the game was super easy. Not that I'm complaining I love difficult and challenging games! The graphics do a good job and setting the mood, reminds me of games I used to play on those "1001 Games" on a single CD. Really solid game play too, everything felt smooth and I had didn't have a problem with the controls what so ever. Really solid entry, great fun! :D
Nice little gimmick here, also I really like the mood and atmosphere in this game. I actually enjoyed that the game was rather difficult and challenging. I also liked the fact that when you die you gory green goo and still move. Overall a really fun yet challenging game! Great stuff.
Really really lovely atmosphere. Gameplay might be a tad slow but that honestly just adds to the ambience. Great audio, simple but really effective graphics with those light effects going on. One of the best little games I've played so far, excellent stuff! :)
Absolutely lovely as always! Great graphics, audio, gameplay the works! Sadly had to play single player but I will easily be returning when I find a friend :3. Audio is fantastic, love the use of the (what I assume) is a Kirby soundfont, very much Superstar/Dreamland 3 vibes which pairs perfectly with the really solid gameplay. Excellent all around, best I've played yet!
Very nice overall, lovely graphics and the concept was pretty well thought out. Oddly enjoyable considering it's a game about PTSD! Only gripe was that when catching a fish it was all so very sudden that sometimes I would hit space again and cancel out of the fishing mini games. Other than that, highly enjoyable much of PTSD inducing mini games!
Really nice overall, absolutely adore Zelda-like games and the ideas with the glitches was fantastic. (I partially loved it when you became a glitch tile/sprite yourself.) I'm thankful for when you die, you keep your progress, that was very helpful in clearing the game. Overall the game is excellent for a compo game! Fantastic stuff :)
@Ratogodoy
Honestly now that I've grown up since last time, all I want is hopefully peeps to have fun with the game haha. I'm glad ye enjoyed it though ^-^
@sunderbird You can mute the audio by pressing Ctrl & S. I'll put in audio mute/volume adjust when I've hade some sleep :) Sorry about that, I knew I was forgetting something!
@lucasvb : Ah yeah sorry about the music I knew I was forgetting something so I've updated with a second version where you can change the volume using -/+ keys :)
@transylvanian-blacksmiths Ah thanks! I'm not sure when I'll do another LDjam next because I always seem to exhaust myself haha. I'm glad ye like the game :)
@littlew00d Thanks! If people like it enough I never know, might make it into something fully fleshed out, but as is, it'll just be a wee little jam game :)
@badpiggy Aww thanks for the lovely comment there, glad you find the NES style charming, I know some people can be off put by it, but it's really quick to do, (and I personally love that style.)
Yeah it's one of those things with the camera that I had it baked in where I kind noticed it was perhaps a little too slow, it was too late to change without possibly breaking the whole thing. Although the respawning enemies were my homage to the classic games where they'd always respawn in, I hopefully might of counterbalanced that with the weapons being extra powerful. (Plus they're a source of credits.) It's definitely one of those things where you'd need to tinker with given the time.
Although I'm glad you're having fun with it! :)
@sexganon Thanks! I'm glad ye enjoyed it and yeah in hindsight and something I might do if I ever were to make this into a full game is to have a "beep/flashing icon" saying you have new items to equipped. Just sadly one of those tweaks I didn't catch in time! The beauty of game jams!
@idenoh : Thanks! I'm really glad ye liked it :) Hopefully I'll get my ass in gear to carry on with LDjam like I used to back in the day ^-^
@caeonosphere : Aww I'm sorry about the lava tube section, I wasn't sure if that was too tricky or not. :/ Hopefully you'll one day find all six gems and get the very quick and stupid ending I plopped in :P Glad ye enjoyed it though ^-^
@monkeyfox Thankies, I'm glad ye liked it, hopefully it wasn't over all with all the items but it wouldn't be a mini-metroidvania if there wasn't!
@bloodbane Ah so with the heating, if you equip more/different items onto your mech, you'll increase the temp, if it goes over your current max, your mech will start to become unstable and then eventually explode. If you get hit too much by things this also will happen, but in that case you could use the cooling unit or de-equip items to cool the mech back down.
I hope you enjoy the rest of the game!
@fer-gueler Ah yeah, I annoyling spotted that bug last night when I was recording a full playthrough, just got around to fixing it right now. I've also put in where if you hold down R for a few seconds on the main menu, you'll be taken back to the key config screen to edit your controls.
Ah there is a couple of expensive end-game upgrades, one is the Agilomatic which gives you triple jump, dashing and the speed boost at the cost of insane temps. And the others is the Pyrojet, Rocket Launcher that just overkills enemies. (The automapper could be a good purchase as it shows the whole map.)
Thanks I'm glad you enjoyed it despite these little hiccups along the way!
@almightyzentaco Ah you need to equip them via the pause menu. (I think I explained this in the how to play, if I didn't then I apologise on that! Fear not, in version 1.1 I put a little notice at the start of the level to make sure to equip new items if you've purchased them :) Hopefully you can enjoy the game fully now with that patched in :)
@saintheiser Ah yeah, I caught those bugs last night when recording a full playthrough, hopefully should be patched and fixed now. V1.1 has this edited. I just stupidly didn't put any solid ground there to stop you from jumping over!
Ah I'm afraid I won't be putting in saving, the game itself is reasonably small and it's just too much of an edit for LDjam. If I were to ever carry on this game into a full fledged thing then of course saving progress would come as standard! :)
@ddrkirbyisq Ah yeah, I've also found a handful of out of bounds areas, it's mainly due to the camera repositioning issues, sadly jams tend to make me miss things like that but that's the fun of them! I also do prefer the NES styled Damitracker stuff but it would of taken me the whole weekend just to produce one track in Famitracker, so some quick vsti chiptune stuff will have to do!
I'm glad ye liked the overall game though despite a few hiccups! I look forward to playing ye game this weekend now I've fully recovered from the lack of sleep and overload of caffeine haha.
@rogual Thanks! I might actually do a in-depth breakdown of the game and how I approached it in another post or if I carry on making the game (who knows) do a proper dev log. I can say the art program was MSpaint ;P I often use the most simplest of art tools for 8bit games as so I don't go over board. Program/Game Development tool was Fusion, DAW was Cubase and no libs.
Glad ye had fun with it!
@vetche-studio Thanks! Yeah it's always good to see us 8-bit peeps show those old consoles some love, for sure I will check that out this weekend now that I've recovered!
@m1nus I would just make a whole new Nintendo styled game ^-^ (If I were to take part but I'm prolly going to be too busy too :/ )
@justcamh : Aye, long and sleepless 72 hours! Sadly not, I didn't get time to test everything and as a result it can be easy to get stuck by going out of bounds, with the screen transitions and I've not blocked a block to stop that, (or you go through into a block.) So classic of I hope this worrrrkkkss. (Although I do test along the way, as best as I can.) I'm also just simulating those restrictions. As I've not jammed in about 4 years I went to something I was very comfortable with, which was the ol' Nintendo games.
Thanks but honestly there was so many fantastic games that anyone really could of took the top spot. I just wanted to make a fun game and I hope I've succeeded in that. :) I used to get a little hooked up on scores when I was younger but now it's all about just the fun of pushing yourself to the limit.
@justcamh I've always try to go too far with these jams. This is my second "metroidvania" that I've created for LDjam. My first one was way back on the original site, 6 years ago which included bosses but wasn't as polished in my opinion.
Yeah, I find making ol' Nintendo styled game just really fun. It doesn't require too much art assets and I don't have to think of something super innovative with gameplay, haha.
@crefossus I'm glad you enjoyed it! Honestly I don't sleep much at all during it and I defaulted what I'm used too which is ol' 8bit games, Nintendo style.
Yeah and actually the reason the screen doesn't scroll faster was due to some bugs I didn't have the time to iron out, same with the vertical scroll being the way it is. If I were to make this into some fully developed I'd make the screen scroll more like Metroid (with doors, and vertical "shafts".)
That's the sad part about jams you don't get enough time to figure things out, the original plan was to have separate planets but then it ended up being one big world to save time. I did envision some audio logs and bosses like my previous attempt at LDjam metroidvania but then I would of lost out on valuable polish.
There is one humour moment which was at the end, with that cheeky ending ;)
Again really glad ye enjoyed it! Still shocked I won to be honest, so many great games submitted.
@cameron-paxton Thanks! I thought Karawan was great! I loved the audio and art on that, it was seriously next level stuff, (and the gameplay.)
+5 Humour. <3 Love you.
(But seriously it's actually great.)
Lovely stuff, despite the graphics being really simple they work in the games favour so it doesn't over complicate stuff. Excellent puzzles, really nice atmosphere, will be going back to finish this game when I have the time but with that I spent with it, it was really solid, felt great to play and was highly polished. Top stuff :)
Honestly the AI in this is great for a compo game, like hats off to you. That's something extremely difficult to pull off, it's going to be a game I'm coming back to finish because I enjoy these puzzle games a lot. Graphics are simple but that does the job just perfectly and I found the atmosphere just perfect. Really pleasing game, highly recommended! Congrats! ^-^
Oh wow, it's like Worms on steroids. Really love this take on the platformer and some quite challenging puzzles. Really like the idea of adding in that timer for speed runs, this game is something that you could easily see being done in the speed run community if taken further. Really solid, just finished it now over on itch, congrats on the medals! Well deserved.
Really difficult game, but not in a bad way, one in where you need to learn and adapt. I really appreciate that you had two grab buttons that made things really easy, so I could pick a colour easily from one of the columns. That purple wave did catch me off guard a couple of times! Overall, really solid effort, good fun, lovely little time waster!
Really lovely atmosphere, can't fault that at all. Solid platforming game too but that jumping felt very heavy, like I was a turnip made out of stone! However once you got used to it, it wasn't that bad. Loved how the audio built up through the levels, great touch and the story was also very nice. (Although the text was a little difficult to read at times, but nothing too major, might just be my monitor of aging eye sight!) Overall fantastic stuff!
Haha, I really enjoyed this, really great humour! Very unstable but in such a good way! Platform jumping and whatnot is always great fun. Really funny (and fun) game!
Really challenging, the concept of keeping an eye on your health and attacks was interesting and made it very stressful at times (in a good way.) Took me a while to learn the enemy patterns, and those little dashing menaces! Lovely lo-fi graphics, good audio, overall really nice little time waster! :)
Honestly an really nice, easy to pick up and play puzzle game! Could easily sink a hour or two into this at a later date, reminds me of the time I used to play Columns on my ol' Mega Drive as a kid. Really nice audio too, all round really good game!
Really simple but fun little game. Enjoyed the trumpet "game over" sound. Overall really solid little time waster :)
Really difficult game, some of the enemy patters are tricky but that's not a bad thing, it's a great thing! I enjoy trying to master little games like this and overall I had some great fun playing it. Great little time waster overall. The graphics were simple but overall worked, (sometimes I did have issues of it feeling it blending together but nothing major.) Overall really solid entry!
Really challenging game, great atmosphere and lovely artwork. Difficult sometimes to understand what I could walk through and the enemies were relentless at chasing me but overall really good fun! (Did find it amusing the pistol sounds like someone slapping someone!) Easily sank a few minutes into this, great stuff! ^-^
Really quite nice little game, I do like the juggling between needing to avoid and getting hit by those bullets. Pretty decent overall and such lovely particle effects! Great stuff :)
(Just to note though, the rar file seems damaged/corrupted if opening using Winrar, just thought I'd point that out.)
Wow, extremely difficult but what I could master currently was excellent, nice story, good audio and despite being challenging the gameplay did feel solid. I will come back to this at a later date when I have time to really master it but overall, it's great! ^-^
Really really nice game! Fantastic concept with the puzzler, a handful of levels were quite challenging actually, (level 4, got me and so did 14) Awesome stuff, fantastic 8 bit NES styled graphics, audio fit perfectly and amazing concept on the theme. Overall lovely stuff! :)
Overall really solid and fun game! I always enjoy these concepts where the level/area changes randomly, although a little bit of a warning would of been nice as that voice is extremely jarring when it happens. Atmosphere is spot on too, love the eerie basic bleeps.
Overall pretty polished and solid entry, good concepts, overall really well made.
Quite a funny little game, love how they all go flying around sometimes, or sometimes they just go to school without me doing anything! (And then sometimes they're super stubborn and refuse to move haha, just like kids.) Quirky little fun game, decent graphics, great little time waster! Good stuff ^-^
@Bad Piggy Aww thanks, yeah that bug, I've had the opposite where you can't drop off a person and I have no idea what causes it! Been trying to fix that for a couple of days now with no luck it seems.
Ah yeah, so regards to the map/arrow, originally I had envisioned it as lots of small arenas/levels but sadly time wouldn't permit me to make that, so I opted for one large level instead, hence why somethings don't quite work like the arrow or deadends. Gah if only we had more time!
But I'm glad ye liked overall, sorry it was a bit rushed and poopy this game! Hopefully next time I'll knock it out of the park haha.
(Just want to say, I'll be checking out everyone games this weekend! I'm extremely looking forward to it ^-^)
@justcamh I actually did sleep, actually too much and I took it more relaxed the first day, hence why a lot of polish and things I wanted to do, not done! The world I think is 6654x1440 or something like that, so not overly massive. I actually made most of the world in the final day, which again was a mistake. I really ought of took away one of the areas and focused on polish but oh well! Hindsight and all!
The original plan was small worlds and split them in three levels (so it was going to be Forest, Lava and Water) but I felt I wouldn't have enough time to do that, hence why again it's just one big world. The map hopefully will help a little bit! The arrow is a bit wonky but that's because I coded it for smaller worlds, it's a bit crap at finding the best route with a large level, oops!
Hope ye like, needed more time in the oven but then again it's a LDjam game, so jankiness is expected haha.
@alpalcalad I did put a how to play on the main menu alongside a map in-game which hopefully would help players find the way once they've explored the world a bit. (And an upgrade is to uncover the map.) In hindsight I should just have the map completely uncovered to begin with, which would of helped players not get lost, but my reasoning behind not doing that, is that hopefully on multiple playthroughs you can get a feel for the world, much like Crazy Taxi.
Haha, yeah everything was done in 72 minus a bat and a projectile. I'm often known for making much too big games of LDjam, often trying to push my limit of what can I do. Annoyingly if I didn't take it so relaxed on the first day I could of got more done, perhaps a boss or even music for each of the areas. Hope ye liked ^-^
@strangeryann No idea why it was crashing after a minute or two, I've never experienced this, nor seen any testers have this problem as well? Bit odd that. And to pick peeps up, just press what ever you assigned the "down" key too. I've got a how to play in the main menu. Hope ye liked it other than that, and thanks about the graphics! Can't go wrong with some Game Boy Color style!
@cinterre Aww thanks! I did actually sleep! I actually took this jam more relaxed than I usually do. Old me would of got a lot more done, like unique zone music tracks and even a boss! Alas in my older age I can't quite do that now, I'm still suffering from last weekend! Glad ye liked the game overall, hope it wasn't too janky, a little disappointed in the outcome of this, but if peeps had some fun then I guess I should be happy in that ^-^
@tim-sims The only other penalty is that you lose 5 seconds of time (3 seconds if you have the upgrade.) I gave five minutes to begin with so people could get used to the gameplay and world, and then once you're skilled you can easily earn 999 seconds without really trying haha. Hope ye enjoyed the game ^-^
@fidrik Thanks! Hope ye liked! Aye I feel like the map was a little "too big" but alas my original plan of having 2 to 3 smaller worlds wouldn't of been made in time! Hope ye didn't get too lost!
@bonzochuff Thanks! That's the charm of doing 8-bit graphics, they're weirdly very quick to make, (for me at least.) If I bundle all the assets together they're isn't that many of them, it's just placed in a creative way so it doesn't look to sparse. The combo basically increases your money earned from killing enemies or picking up people. You then deposit those earnings into your credits bank on a successful drop off! Hope ye liked the game ^-^
@rawb Aww thanks for the kind comment, it's using Fusion if that helps, a neat little old school game developing tool. Yeah sorry about the deadends, the original plan was lots of smaller worlds but sadly time didn't allow me for this, so we got one big world which as a knock on effect made it a little more difficult to navigate. Hope you enjoyed it overall though!
@twowolf So the gameplay is much like Crazy Taxi, where once you picked up a passenger, depending on their difficulty will award you time to go drop them off. Once you've dropped them off, you'll be awarded the credits on that journey!
Ah I've somewhat stopped promoting myself, I find I like doing the jam more and then playing games than worrying about scores now. I used to be like that but now having won it twice, I'm just in it for trying to push myself over those 72 hours the best I can. (Although I feel like I failed a bit on this one, had things missing that I often usually do!
I'm sorry about that it can get to a point where the game doesn't end with the timer, the original idea was to make enough drops or credits, and then would unlock another world when ever you got the beginning, but as I was running out of time, I opted to make one big world that just never ended. In hindsight should of kept the "stop" playing part of it, so you get a rank. Ah well haha, hope ye enjoyed it over all though!
With the art, it's just me and MSpaint (weirdly.) The key is that when it's 8bit graphics, they're only 16x16 tiles so I can churn them out pretty quickly. The map is just plonked together on the last day, hence why it's a little haphazard in the layout, usually I would polish that up before release but I sadly just ran out of time for that stuff.
@beeb-gamecodecompany Ah I wish I had more time haha, I actually had things missing from this, like unique music tracks for each of the areas and my original plan was to have different smaller levels, but I knew if I did that I'd not have it finished so I opted for one big world instead. The key to getting a lot of this done in time is to keep the graphics simple, hence the GBC style, I can churn those out pretty quickly now, so that always help things! And as an ol' TGF/MMF user like myself, it's actually a great tool to quickly make something up! I hope ye enjoyed the game and thanks for the lovely comment!
@waffleworksgames Ah if only I had months, I could of added in bosses and make my original plan of lots of smaller worlds so it's easier not to get lost haha! Aww I'm glad ye enjoyed the game! Yeah usually I would go through near the end and tinker with some of the stats/items so they're not under or over powered but sadly I just ran out of time for that end jam polish. But hopefully ye had fun nethertheless!
@bloodbane Thanks, yeah the timer gets too easy towards the end and really in hindsight I should of increased the timer tick the more people you drop off, so it does get harder, but alas lack of time! I hope you enjoyed roaming around the world though! Haha, wow the RNG didn't like the Aquatic zone it seemed, usually for me, it LOVES that area haha!
@ciderpunk Aww thanks! I'm glad you played it for that long, that means a lot to me! I would of loved to introduce little character dialogue and bits and bobs but sadly being a solo dev I just don't have the time for that, although their names are randomly generated in the pause menu! I'm glad you enjoyed what you played however, ^-^
Loved the graphics and the gameplay, really fun! Gets a little frustrating at times, but of course being a LDjam game we can forget that sort of stuff as we don't have time to really polish and nail down those areas, but overall it was really funny, really cool little game to play!
Loved the art style and the audio. Really polished overall, gets really hectic when you're juggling packages towards the end, however as many have stated the controls are a bit iffy at first, until you get used to them, game would of benefited from classic platformer physics/controls, would made things a little easier on the player but that's totes nickpicky and overall it's a fantastic little game!
Very nice retro experience, highly enjoyed it! Reminds me of the good ol' days of blasting away at the arcades. Simple and fun and that's how I love these games, graphics were amazing too! Overall awesome job!
Loved the gameplay of this, even though at first it was extremely tricky to get down, but once you got the feel for the momentum and physics it was such fun! Loved the touch to try and get the letters too, an extra added gameplay bonus which is great! Loved the graphics too, that little 3D box was awesome, don't know why I loved it so much. Overall really solid and awesome little game!
Absolutely fantastic! One of the best I've seen this game, the world shapeshifting was amazing and the whole atmosphere and gameplay was spot on! I did get sometimes stuck in the terrain when it shapeshifted but nothing the R button couldn't fix! Honestly loved this, one of the best to wind down after a long day, not too difficult neither! Just the right balance of skill and fun. Loved it!
So very unique and chill! I sunk way more time than I should into this, it was lovely, peaceful and just beautiful. The audio was great and the upgrades were nice. Loved how everything just started growing and taking hold. It was more degree of skill than I first thought. Really loved the atmosphere of the game one of the best I've played yet for that. Graphics are also lovely, it's the kind of game I just adore. Really really good stuff, congrats! ^-^
Wow, that taxed my brain for sure, having to do both at the time, but if I had a second player that would sure be an amazing experience. Loved the concept though, with a little more time it could be a great little timewaster, really good! Had fun and that's all I care about, great stuff! ^-^
Really clever idea with the game, having to drive but also need to plan how you put in the parcels makes replay really fun. At first it took me a couple of tries but then I got the groove with it (and Unity physics.) Loved it, really interesting take on the game, great stuff! ^-^
I don't know but that's exactly how I get my pizza, standing in a field and getting it flung at me! Loved the graphics, audio and the gameplay. The unique different style of pizzas was fantastic, loved that addition, so it didn't get repetitive and plus it made me really think. Really loved the graphics, they were so simple yet cute and well done. Easily one of the games I've sunk the most time into, got carried away trying to beat it, great use of physics too, nothing seemed off ever. Fantastic stuff!
Very neat and fun little game for sure! Sometimes I would get stuck on a zombie (or something) and couldn't move, but other than that happening now and again, it's a highly amusing little time waster! Loved the frantic pace of it and the music was really fitting to it. Great stuff ^-^
Really nice little platformer with a cute mechanic. Loved the graphics and general vibe of the whole game and the difficulty was just right for me! Only issue I found was that sometimes it was difficult to see the spikes, or enemies as they blended a bit into the background, but other than that nickpicking, it was great fun!
Nice take on the theme, it was sometimes a little hard to control at first, but once you understood the car mechanics and how it handled it became really quite fun! Even though simple premise, it was fun to play and that's the main thing! Loved the graphics and audio, really top notch stuff! Wonderful ^-^
Lovely little game this! Very cute animations, simple but really addictive. Absolutely love the menus, that to me what really makes a game jam, is all that little polish. A little tricky at first to get the movement down and a few glitches here and there, but it's a jam game, if there isn't any, is it really a jam game! Overall really good little timewaster, excellent stuff! ^-^
I absolutely loved the art style and the audio! It being played on a doodle pad is amazing and I always love that style when I see it. Gameplay even though simple but fun and addictive which is the main thing here. Got really hectic towards the end, all around great stuff!
Oh well the planets are now at war, I guess we're all crying over spilt milk! But after a few attempts, I got the hang of rotating the jars, it was a bit weird at first but as anything once you learn the knack it's really good. Loved the art actually, it reminded me of the good ol' days of Newgrounds, and the flash games you'd see on that, plus the humour was fantastic. Overall, a really good little quirky games that gave me the nostalgic feels for sure! Great stuff ^-^
Nice little short platformer, loved the premise and the overall controls felt great! Good job! Lovely little timewaster ^-^
Love a LDjam game that as a good intro! Rather polished in that regards, enjoyed the puzzle element alongside the combat, it wasn't just throwing something to get to a goal! Was a little difficult at places due to having to get used to the physics of stuff, but once you got that down, it played extremely well and was great fun! Really good overall! ^-^
Very nice using Pico8! Even though it's very simple in graphics and design, it really reminded me of old Atari games, which I used to love playing as a kid. It's one of those you can kick back and try and beat your high scores! Loved the graphics too, something charming about those old 8-bit stuff for sure. Only issues is that, at first it was rather difficult to control but with a little practice it became much easier, even though the timer was very tight. Although the packages, I thought originally they were part of the island at the start, if they were a little brighter or blinked, that might of been more handy. But overall for a first time jam, it was awesome! Well done ^-^
Love the atmosphere and aesthetics of this game, even though the gameplay was rather simple, it was really fun little timewaster. It took a few tries to get the throwing of the boxes down into the hospitals, first couple of attempts I always seemed to throw them past them haha. The speed felt just right on the car after upgrading, only issue is that sometimes I'd have a row of cars appear that I can't get past too easily, although hitting the cars doesn't seem to cause much of an issue, as you can get back up to speed pretty quickly. Loved that you could jump too, lovely little addition to this style of gameplay!
Overall a lovely little timewaster that is simple, yet most importantly really fun!
Loved the art style and an intro cutscene, hell yeah. (Excuse the pun.) The van drove great, controls felt well, there was a mini map in the top corner that helped and the whole pace of the game was fantastic! I loved it, really simple but extremely fun to play and that's the key thing here, fun! Loved it, well done ^-^
Controls great, sounds great, looks great a really amazing little game. Really fun concept and perfect for wasting time which is for me a perfect LDjam game! It ran smoothly too and I ended up sinking more time into it than I expected! I absolutely loved it when you'd full in lava and he'd start screaming that was a great sound effect. Overall really well made and polished! ^-^
@justcamh Oh whoops! I thought I fixed that, hopefully the update might have solved that issue. I misplaced a door spawn so it would just throw you out somewhere else. Hopefully there isn't any more of those!
Thanks! I actually didn't do as much as planned as I basically missed the first day due to self inflicted food poisoning haha. Really wanted to do an extra set of levels and also perhaps an end boss but alas as per usual I ran out of time! Hope you liked it nonetheless!
@ismael-rodriguez Oh woops! Sorry about that, I forgot to include the keyconfig file on that new upload fixing the black room bug, should all work now!
Haha, as usual, this is dope. Such a silly little idea that really well done! Heavy metal Splatoon music is also amazing! Sometimes got a little difficult to build up momentum but what do I expect for a fat Sonic the Hedgehog-esque game! Haha amazing as usual!
Aww this is really peaceful and clever little gardening puzzle. Really lovely graphics and even being simple, the gameplay is quite challenging/rewarding trying to place your plants and you in the best positions. Really well made, very good polish, fantastic entry! Well done ^-^
Really interesting take on the theme, enjoyed reading the stuff on the boxes and trying to figure out what to keep or trash. A bit of audio or sound effects would of helped with knowing if I've clicked on something for extra feedback but that's nitpicking and overall, a really solid effect. Great stuff! ^-^
Lovely little game, oddly really peaceful considering that it gets really frantic towards the end! Great arcade-y vibes, platforming was solid and it controlled extremely well. Enjoyed that the camera scrolls up slowly too adding a sense of dread. Really well made! Highly enjoyed!
Really nice game mechanics, awesome audio and lovely easy to read graphics, which is key for a game like this. Only real issue is that it takes a little while for the difficulty to kick in, but other than that, a really solid game! Fantastic work! ^-^
Took a little while to understand what I was doing, but after I was getting the hang of it, I ended up really enjoying this concept or weaving the world! It's super interesting and the graphics really help set the mood for it. Really interesting and amazing concept, loved it! Extremely well done ^-^
Not sure if there was supposed to be more levels, after level 2 it kept saying Congratulations and wouldn't progress, which is a shame because I really dig this art style and the concept is really interesting. It controlled really well and the mood was fantastic. Love to see more that's for sure! ^-^
No idea why this posted twice haha.
Controls were a little weird at first, something about the shooting felt off but other than that, it was a high pace frantic game! Lovely little timewaster, really well done! Highly enjoyed <3
Oh wow a Pikmin styled game! This was insanely cool! Took a few tries to get it down and every time I got a little bit better and better at beating the world. Nice little cutscene at the start, excellent music to set the mood, really well polished, fantastic work! <3
Very peaceful game weirdly which isn't a bad thing, lovely thing to relax too from coming back from work! A found it a little too easy and had some morbid curiosity to see what would happen if I made the planes collide! Overall really nice little time waster, great stuff!
Lovely graphics and concept really enjoyed the premise as well, quite unique take on the platformer genre! Felt it was a little too hard, maybe that intro through the stage made it almost too difficult to pick up pace to dig the graves or perhaps I was missing something? Other than that, it was really well made, looked fantastic, had some graphic humour and the controls were spot on! Well done :)
Very interesting game and I highly enjoyed the mechanics of how to control the robot. Lovely atmosphere, great gameplay, really solid game! Well done :)
Wow I really enjoyed this one! It's really cool and I can also feel your pain having to move things around in a tiny apartment/house, I'm exactly the same! It took me a while to understand to rotate the pieces efficiently but once I got that down it was really fun trying to figure what pieces should be moved first and where. Granted to say, don't hire me as a removal or furniture placement guy because I'm not very good haha.
The graphics were top notch, simple yet effective and the music also brings the mood together! One of my favourite games I've played thus far for sure! <3
Wow, took some time to get my head around the controls, which isn't a bad thing because it added a sense of good challenge to the game. Had a good balance of difficulty, which I like, really nice little timewaster which is great for LDjam games! Loved the art style and overall polish, took a few tries to get into the groove but once there it was extremely fun! Great work ^_^
Has some real promise this game, really enjoyed the game mechanics and the overall idea of the game. Nice amount of difficulty which I loved, controls pretty well. Can be a bit glitchy with collisions but other than little nick pick (it is a jam game after all) a really solid effort. Great work! ^-^
Awesome first LDjam game, nice simple tower defense that's well made! It can be a little slow but honestly that's not a bad thing as it's a really chill and relaxed game. Fantastic effort, look forward to seeing more games down the line!
Wow the art in this is incredible! I absolutely loved the style and the gameplay while others have said is a little lacking in an end goal is simple and fun which honestly is what I personally love seeing on LDjam games. Something I can put my mind on hold and just relax (or slack) and play a nice game. The controls were actually really good, a little time to get used to but overall just fine for this style of game. Insane amount of polish, really love music which helps fit the mood, overall fantastic! Loved it! <3
Fantastic first LDjam game! Really interesting idea, loved experimenting on this, short, sweet and simple and those are always the best things to do for LDjam. Great work! Highly enjoyable!
Lovely graphics and atmosphere, really well done! I did find the controls at first a little confusing to work with when the gravity shifts but after a while I got that down and was able to play smoothly! Really interesting gimmick and it's a shame there was only two levels because it was really interesting. Overall really solid game, highly enjoyed! :)
Very clever use of the pictures for depth and trying to get the star, I got engrossed in this trying to figure out the solutions. Once I understood how the picture placing works, in order to hop over to the next one, it became much easier to do some trial and error and find the best (or only) path to the star. Overall a really solid entry and one of my favourites so far! Wonderful stuff!
I got "Awesome" even though I hit all the rocks! It did take me a little while to figure out exactly what I was meant to be doing (how to swap the characters around, or how to attack, by click the crab to fire at it.) However once I got the gameplay down it was such a fun, enjoyable gameplay loop! It gave me some real Amiga vibes back in the day which I absolutely adore. The graphics were top notch as well and this game oozes personality and vibes.
Highly polished, extremely well made, great stuff!
Lovely little game this be! I absolutely love the charming graphics and his little belly when he runs and whips! The addition of the coins makes it even more playable as I was trying to find them all while whipping everything. Really enjoyed this one despite a few areas being quite difficult (I'm looking at you circle whip boost things!)Other than that amazing stuff!
What a lovely puzzle game this is, it really got me thinking that's for sure. The graphics were so slick and I loved it how it looked when you up or down a level. The audio was perfectly fitting and the combat felt like those old school rogue likes in the day! I'm coming back to this one to finish later on but the time I've spent so far on it, this is easily one of the LDjam games I've played! Amazing stuff, pure polish!
Also I just want to add, quaff a potion is one of my favourite bit of dialogue in a game ever. <3
Wow what a fantastic concept! Controls took a little while to get used to, but overall such a lovely, extremely well polished puzzle game! Highly enjoyed, one of the better entries I've play so far! Great stuff ^-^
@superpokeunicorn Aww thank you for your kind comment! I'm glad you enjoyed the game ^-^. So with the stages dragging on the original plan was to have five randomised levels/depths from a set of 10 to play. However I ran out of time making all these areas, so I just kept the ones I had made. In hindsight maybe I should of just removed them, but seeing as I already made them, I kept them in. But honestly thanks for playing, I'll be checking out games over this weekend when I have some downtime, can't wait to play!
@hoichael Thanks for ye comment! I'm glad ye liked the game! I'll be sure to check out your game this weekend when I'm gunna play a bunch of jam games! :)
@badpiggy Thank you for your beautiful review! Honestly all that really helps with further jam games or titles I decide to make, as always amazing comments! So with the regards of the repetitive levels towards the end, there is a reason for that. The original plan was to have five levels, that would be randomly pulled from 10 levels. However I just ran out of time at the end to do this, so I kept the ones I had already made. In hindsight I should of just chose 5 better ones and left the rest but I kinda felt I'd made them so it'd be a shame to waste them.
Yeah the diamonds could of done with a little more of a tale than just a noise and them blinking, they pull you in once you're on the same Y axis as the whole tile. Again should of made the hitbox on the gem a little smaller but blame lack of sleep on that! And with the boss, I didn't intend to plop a boss in, but I had an hour spare towards the end, so I thought it'd be nice to end on something a little bit extra than just finish the stages. If I had a bit more time or I factored in a boss at the start I'd make it a little more fleshed out.
I can't wait to play your game, I saw it over on the discord server and twitter and it looks rad! I'll be checking out games this weekend when I've got more free time and I'm fully recovered! Looking forward to it ^-^
@caffeinetrip Aww thanks for the kind comment, looking forward to checking out ye game this weekend! ^-^
@shadyshade Aww that means so much to me! I hope you enjoyed it! It's all worth the lack of sleep in the end haha. Looking forward to playing ye game this weekend! ^-^
@morepixels Hehe the temptation not to make it into a full game is big! Thank you for your kind words, I'm glad you enjoyed the game! I'm looking foward to checking ye game out this weekend when I'm fully recovered and have some free time! ^-^
Aww thank you to everyone who's posted and played the game, just wanted to make a comment to thank you all! All the comments about the nit-picks/criticisms completely on board with a few there, if I were to ever develop this further, I'd address a few of those as I had similar concerns myself, but alas as it being a game jam game, tend not to get the time to iron out these things :3 But honestly thank you all! <3
@andriybyelikov I think that might of been an issue through Proton/Linux, I don't think the framework/program I use quite likes Linux I'm afraid :( Sorry about that, hope you enjoyed anyway! (I played/rated your game just recently, will leave a comment asap!)
@egor-iv What that I won and you didn't?
Jeez things got hectic at the end me dude! Yeah this had that wonderful Newgrounds vibe of the day, damn good stuff, humour on point too, overall damn good. Sometimes I didn't quite get the bullet meter/lava thing but if I just dipped into that sometimes, things all worked out in the end. Good stuff!
Aww this reminds me of the good ol days when I used to this software, it gave me honestly some lovely warm nostalgia vibes! Really nice use of this engine and I highly enjoy the small amount I've played thus far, will be going back to this one and the others in the series! Great work!
Interesting use of AI to help come up with a gameplay idea, I actually think that's one of the better ways to use AI as a tool. Really nice game, simple yet addicting and I enjoyed how the tower is slowly fading away above you, gives a sense of urgency. Overall a really love little game and the trailer is amazing too! Great stuff!
Jeez this is the best jam game I've played so far, I ended up playing for ages trying to figure out the puzzles and dying a lot, but learning a lot while doing so. It's a fantastically well polished game and I'm coming back to finish this! Amazing stuff! Loved everything from the graphics, music, puzzles. Just amazing! <3
Great little gameplay loop, reminds me of Andy Asteroids from Earthworm Jim which is a plus! Really simple gameplay but solid and most importantly fun to play. Had a nice feel of the old Atari arcade days, simple audio, simple gameplay but fun. Enjoyed the graphics too, this had a lot of charm. Overall great stuff highly enjoyed!
Very interesting take on the theme depth! I highly enjoyed this short mystery game, very good for a compo game! ^-^
Such a lovely chill jam game, despite cleaning teeth of a big nasty crocodile! The art gave me Rayman Legends vibe which is such a wonderful thing, I highly enjoyed! Well done ^-^
Simple yet fun little game, the hit boxes might be a bit too large, kept hitting the spikes way to easy but other than that, I had no issues, the graphics are charming and the challenge is just about right! Very much enjoyed :)
It starts off slow but once you get a few of the wee lil' dwarves going, it start becoming frantic and I loved watching them all mine. Buying/upgrades were all very satisfying. I wouldn't of known to dig down if I didn't read your previous comment, I'm glad I did otherwise I would of most likely been stuck, but other than that small nit-pick a highly polished fun little time waster. Great work.
(Plus the audio was amazing, I loved that!)
Wow really lovely and atmospheric. The visuals are amazing and I highly enjoyed this, it felt like one of those dreams you sometimes have, great stuff! ^-^
The atmosphere and mood of this game is beautiful, I love the vibes that this game is giving off. It's a rather difficult game, maybe due to the controls being sensitive was a little hard to navigate the camera at times, but other than that, it's oozing with atmosphere and personality that I adored. Well done!
Aww this is a lovely and cute charming arcade style game. Lovely graphics, really nice gameplay, overall fantastic small little LDjam game! Wonderful.
Took a while to get the timing down for the attack but what a really interesting idea! Took a little while to get used to the physics and the pingponging about but the atmosphere was great, the puzzles were great, trying to kill what you need and when you need them. The graphics were simple but they have this charm, like an old Atari console vibe which I adore plus the music was fantastic 8bit retro! Only minor complaint is the screen size is a little too small but other than that, a great entry, fantastic stuff!
Heck yeah, I love this, it's such a simple yet addictive gameplay loop. I don't think I ever used the weak attack though, heavy all the way! I'll be coming back to playing some more once I'm done catching up on other games that's for sure. It's very simple yet very addicting, figuring out patterns and dodging attacks. Only main problem I have is that sometimes I feel like there isn't much of a feedback when you get hit from enemies, but other than that the visual, audio and gameplay is addictive and fun. The dodge is also a great mechanic it's helped me out of some situations, over all a fantastic entry! <3
Lovely atmosphere and the writing was top notch, really interesting take on the theme. The atmosphere, graphics and audio were all setting the mood perfectly too. Took me a little while to get into the swing of things and I still don't quite understood some mechanics, but honestly overall, a really lovely jam game, something I'll be coming back to for sure!
Lovely atmosphere and the graphics reminded me of the good ol' days of gaming on the PC which is a wonderful vibe. Didn't expect the game to be as big as it was! Overall, really good stuff, enjoyed!
AXXXEELLL at the start gave me a fright I can tell you! I really enjoyed this game, it gave me such nostalgia for the old days of flash on Newgrounds, it had that vibe and it had some really nice charm to it. Really fun, great work! ^-^
Took me a while figuring out if I dash into the ground, while still on the ground it'd kill me :3. So I kept pressing space just before I'll fall and I'd die, other than that it's a lovely simple game, which an addictive gameplay loop and some lovely graphics! Overall highly enjoyed ^_^
Going to be heading back to this one later tonight because this is a great puzzler but I wanted to get my vote in before times up! This is amazing, I love these types of games and even more so that's it's on the GB, that's wild! One of my favourites of the jam, amazing stuff this!
Lovely entry, I really enjoyed the Warioware vibe mini games to try and haunt the right people, things got hectic at the end for me. Music, graphics and atmosphere are all very top notch!
The picture match game though was brutal, my mind trying to keep track of two cards, damn that took some skill and when under pressure too! This was one of the more polished jam games and it shows! Music was great, really fits with the atmosphere and the graphics had a nice crisp look to them, which really helped with the mini games.
This was an excellent entry one of my favourites so far! Well done!
This is easily one of my favourite of the jam games so far that I've played. I spend ages messing around and trying to figure out what to do. The atmosphere in this is amazing, I loved how the lights go dim, things start happening all creepy, all amazing. It's one of those where you just need to mess around and figure out methods and what to do. It gives me gameplay vibes that of Myst. Highly enjoyed, amazing stuff!
Took a while to get the game working on my end, but that's due to my lack of expertise! Overall a good little game, that honestly gives me old Newgrounds/Flash vibes which I love! Nostalgia, overall a simple yet enjoyable gameplay loop! Enjoyed, well done! ^-^
A fun little game, only a couple of issues I had which were not know where sometimes death spike pits were and the audio was a little loud. Over than that, highly enjoyed the metroidvania-ish style and the graphics were charming! Great stuff! ^-^
Oh the atmosphere and pixel horror is of such beauty. At first I thought this was a pixel platformer, but it was a really odd (in a good way) RPG-ish thing. It had such charm, short and sweet. I highly enjoyed this one!
Very well done, found it rather tricky at the first, that hunger meter isn't kidding around that goes down fast! But overall a lovely gameplay loop, lovely graphics and overall just fun to play! Great stuff :)
