Sorry the "Restart" button at the end is a little broken . Please just re-launch the game.

The visual style is pretty on point, and the game is really enjoyable!! Congratulations on pulling this off!!
What's this? Another Synthwave game?! I must play it *immediately*.
I enjoyed playing the game. Love the graphics and music. I love how it all fits together with a specific theme. Keep up the good work :)
The game ends at 4km for me, is that intended?
@najimi
Thanks for pointing that out! I think there's a bug with the number, but the game ends at the appropriate spot :) There should be a pretty significant landmark that indicates you have arrived the destination.
@francis Yes, it definitely looked like I have arrived :)

very addicting trying to beat the highscore haha, buit deliveries don't reset between runs lol
@ausstein
Thanks for the feedback! I noticed that the game ended before the intended destination, but it also looks like this was from a "Restart". We never tested the restart as we were scrambling up until the deadline so it's pretty wonky haha. May I ask if the game ended at the appropriate spot in your initial playthrough?
@francis What is the appropriate spot? I think it always ended at that spot hmmm.
I loved it, really. I have to say that for a large part of the game I have been dodging cars just for fun, because of how satisfying it was to drive. The graphic section is marvelous, very retro, which makes me imagine myself in the arcade playing it... I loved it!
@ausstein It's supposed to end as you enter the tall building.
@ethernal-tech @osvaldo Thanks for the kind words! I'm so glad you appreciated the visual style :)
This game is so fun! I wish it would pause when the dialog screens come up so I could read them tho
Got to the end and its pretty fun, took me a bit to figure out that W makes me go faster. The visuals are really good! The cars could have had a bit more work, but I guess time constraints happened. Good work guys!
The vaporwave aesthetic is really well done! Maybe you could've put the same neon outline shader on the cars models to make them blend better with the rest of the art style, but it worked well! The restart button doesn't work, but it's a nice gameplay, well done presenting the different mechanics one at a time :)
The visual style is nice. It just fits in with music, mood and theme.
The downside was that the car was going sideways way too slow (so I ended up having 10+ collisions). Still managed to beat it.
The game did end at 4km away from target, but I think the large building was supposed to be 'The End'.

Thanks for the feedback and checking out our game :) I'm not an artist so this game jam was really far out of my comfort zone, but I'm really happy we decided to do all the graphics from scratch, and I'm so happy it's been well received. Thanks so much guys!
The game actually does 'pause' when the dialog comes up in the sense that the timer pauses and the progression is frozen. Ideally the collisions with cars don't happen while that the dialogue is going on though.
We were scrambling to get a complete game up until the deadline, unfortunately ran out of time to do art on the traffic. The original plan was to have different types of cars that have different behaviors like: trucks, speed racers, etc. so that it's less of an indistinguishable mob.
It does seem like we need to make it more clear that pressing W speeds up the car, noticing a lot of ppl don't realize that for a bit.
I love the visuals, and how you added in jumping it really made it feel good
I really enjoyed how this kept adding new mechanics but wasn't overwhelming. All I'd change is the hit sound is very sharp and loud so on headphones it low key hurts.
I had fun with this game! Definitely found myself nodding along to the music as it bumped along - and it was satisfying when the game let me speed up even further (and it was fun trying to launch the deliveries of the cures while speeding along the road).
Amazing Game!!! The hole feel of the game and the graphics. I like the little detail with the engine thingy tilting in the oposite direction of driving.
Before the jumping was added, i thought to my self, that it is sad, that there is so much traffic. And then the jumping was there, but in the exact right moment
I also enjoy that there is a story
@francis In that case I dont think it ended at the appropriate Spot even from the start :(
If you make a post jam version whcih you can properly Speedrun, please tag me in the comments :)
That was fun, I wish that the mountains were more graphic. Traffic sucks.
Very fun, I think by tweaking a couple things it would be even more satisfying. I would have loved to be able to go fast and zig zag through traffic. I think the horizontal movement needs to be faster and more responsive. That way you have way more control over the car and can start weaving through traffic. Specially with the jump added later you could zoom at high speed for as long as you can handle. Also would be nice to be able to control how long the jump is by releasing early to start going down earlier.
And another little detail is that it would be great to pause the game when you are putting the text boxes. It's fine to stop the car but not stopping traffic from continuing makes you crash while not being able to do anything, which is a bit frustrating to watch happen without having any control over it.
Either way great game, well done!
Finally I can play those synthwave backgrounds :stuck_out_tongue: . Pretty short but enjoyable game, the deliveries were a bit confusing, like you have to shoot before you get there or it flies into the sunset. I liked the vibe! A bit too soon for ice cream :^)
Thanks everyone for the comments and checking out our game!
Hey @ausstein, I made a couple of bugfixes and uploaded a newer version with those fixes :)
@zombiebust3r Thanks for the feedback! We definitely have some conflicting mechanics between going fast vs too much traffic that we need to spend more time balancing out. The cars crashing during cutscene was a bug and that's been fixed :)
A simple well focused experience, visuals were great and the vaporwave sun setting as the game timer is a fantastic set piece. The gameplay is simple enough for what it needs to be, I would have liked if my turning speed went up higher alongside my top speed as it became increasingly difficult to pass cars after collecting a few upgrades.
Overall great experience, the gameplay additions help keep the experience fresh until the end and it was a lot of fun to race the clock!
@francis cool, I'll give it a try once I am home from work :)
I was about 8 seconds late for the delivery :( this game was fun, and got even more fun once the jump mechanic was introduced. The graphics were really nice.
i really like the style of this game, but man that was a lot of traffic. :) thanks for making this game.
Oh the traffic cars pattern at some point got really annoying and I was about to start complaining that this is not beatable but then suddenly I got the message from R&D telling me there is a jump in my car! And I made it to the end haha
That was fun, thanks for the experience!
awesome game! I would love to have a speedometer somewhere in the hud, the feeling of going fast was really well achieved, also the need of throwing a package before arriving to the destination due to the speed you had was an excellent idea. I had a great time playing this one. Congrats!
At first I thought "Oh it's just dodging cars" then it became "Oh now it's me dodging cars and yeeting packages at hospitals." then it became "Oh damn! Now it's me jumping cars and going full blast!" Super fun game and I love the graphics, writing, and sense of speed.
I liked this game. She has a very interesting style. I don't know, but lately, I'm obsessed with retro games from the 80s or 90s. Interesting mechanics. At first it is not clear, but then you get used to it. Nice job)
Totally love the visuals and also the fitting music (although you did not create it, you still selected it). The game itself is rather simple, but the cool retro-future atmosphere kept me playing it again. The style is so cool
Loved the setting and the pace of the game. Looked good, felt good. Had a flawless run until the last twenty seconds and then it was collision city and I turned in the parcel 2 seconds late.
I really liked the visual style of the game, i can't imegine how to drive that fast though, skill issue? The soundtrack is awesome! Overall very good game!
This is just amazing! The neon aesthetic, the music, the backgrounds. This is truly a masterpiece!
Looks awesome, feels awesome, sounds awesome! Great work
I enjoyed the game, well done!

In the start it felt too simple, but I surprisingly liked the game! The smooth addition of new features is very nice. Changing background, music, and sound of the car in one moment became sooo moody and so good. Nice entire!
I would suggest putting the text at the top and set a separate key to skip through like right mouse or a setting to disable them
Absolutely stellar aesthetic with the visuals and story. My one piece of critical feedback would be the game didn't quite let me spend the time I would've like to spend with the abilities/felt a little tame given it's runner style gameplay. Really great submission nonetheless!
Really wished this had more levels or something because the core gameplay was exhilarating. Love the vaporwave style visuals too.
Great aesthetic, the 'neon horizon' looks fantastic. I felt like the cap on top speed was a bit frustrating, even after all the upgrades. A higher top speed that takes longer to hit would really make things feel more intense and reward the player for managing to avoid collisions. The text boxes also contributed to this lack of momentum and made things feel a little stop and go. But apart from that a really well put together game, well done!
Cool game ! The retro aesthetic is on point, and I loved aiming at the building while racing to deliver the packages. Good job
felt the rush of delivering. suggestion:a skip button to skip the tutorial would be nice
brilliant, everything brilliant 5/5 mood 5/5 humor
i really loves the vaporwave retro style, amazing work。 the control is smooth too
it was fun to crash into cars for a laugh. The graphic side is quite pretty I like the effect of the decorations and the sun
I'm getting F-Zero vibes from this. It feels really satisying to accelerate, and the steering and jumping wasn't too bad either! I kept missing hospitals and the time until sunset went into the negatives. I'm glad I had a little bit of leeway though! The music was on point too, I rewally enjoyed this entry!
Love the atmosphere and aesthetics of this game, even though the gameplay was rather simple, it was really fun little timewaster. It took a few tries to get the throwing of the boxes down into the hospitals, first couple of attempts I always seemed to throw them past them haha. The speed felt just right on the car after upgrading, only issue is that sometimes I'd have a row of cars appear that I can't get past too easily, although hitting the cars doesn't seem to cause much of an issue, as you can get back up to speed pretty quickly. Loved that you could jump too, lovely little addition to this style of gameplay!
Overall a lovely little timewaster that is simple, yet most importantly really fun!
ermagerd the icecream melterd!
Love the retro vibe on this -- it slightly reminds me of a game called Neon Drive. The gameplay was straightforward but fun, especially once you gain some max speed and can jump. Jump mechanic feels good -- I liked the air control. Nice entry y'all!
