LD32 — An Unconventional Weapon

Ch^^ir by WebFreak001 2015-04-21T08:27:00

I really liked the camera shake and blood splatter effect on attacking enemies. I'd consider increasing the amount of money you get per enemy killed so upgrades can be purchased quicker. Also liked the little emoticon expressions ^^

Defence the castle of dreams by Smirnov48 2015-05-09T16:21:00

Conrastulations, you won!
One of my favourite games of the jam. So simple, yet well executed and very fun to play. The weapons had nice variety, enough so that there was actual strategy in using them. Good job!

Raimundo's Rampage by DrZanuff 2015-04-26T23:24:00

not bad! interesting use of gravestones.

Bubblegum Parkour by Linus Lindberg 2015-04-20T16:14:00

Very neat concept! I think it the game mechanic merits further exploration in a longer game.

The morning type by Liam :D 2015-04-21T23:23:00

I actually really liked this! The camera movement kind of reminded me of Time Crisis. Made me think you could use a similar mechanic in a more offensive way if you so chose (i.e. typing correct words attacks people). Though, it's really nice as it is; it manages to tell a story, leaving a lot to the imagination of the player, filling in the blanks between the words. You could take it in a really emotional direction by going through more emotional situations and having to type the words that come to mind.

God's Going to Cut Em Down by emmelineprufrock 2015-04-21T17:48:00

Nice storytelling, and the art ties in well. Believable dialogue.

Words by YourLocalFax 2015-04-27T00:04:00

i liked the graphics, which i thought were appropriate for the theme of storytelling that you chose. Nice idea, but unfortunately it wasn't explored much in the limited content (was I missing something? I only saw the one conversation, and then there was nothing more after the corridor with the lockers). Would be interesting to see this developed into more of a story as you suggested in the description.

GunHeart by mcburrobit 2015-04-21T08:43:00

Pretty fun! The audio was awesome. Unique game mechanic.

Into The Fray by Naked_Samurai 2015-04-21T23:15:00

I think the core idea as good, could benefit from experimenting with the implementation - I found the random path choice frustrating, particularly the lack of ability to control the path your green skull takes. But I did find the puzzle concept a neat mechanic.

Steve's Adventure by Linus123xbb 2015-04-21T18:00:00

I liked the art for the character sprite, and the music wasn't bad actually. Nuke passing you was a cool feature. The gameplay mechanics could have been more innovative. Also, not sure that a nuke's really an unconventional weapon.

CatAclysm by MaesK 2015-04-24T15:19:00

One of my favourite LD32 games so far! Simple and cute graphics, very fun gameplay with simple yet satisfying game mechanic. Very nice take on the theme. I like how the cats move around unpredictably. Deserves expansion to a full game, I think.

Burrito Socorrista‏ by Gipzo 2015-04-21T09:41:00

Really nice graphics, fitted the mood very well. Solid mechanics, felt very satisfying to throw a burrito hard at a zombie and make it explode.

Can You Reach the Sun? by Garris 2015-04-26T23:29:00

very good! very innovative and fun mechanics. cute art, too!

Ice Cream Fire Fighter by Suyo 2015-05-09T15:57:00

interesting concept, would have liked to see it developed further but appreciate that you ran out of time. it seemed like the time between people on fire appearing was scripted (?) rather than responding to how long it took to put people out, so second time i played, after i put out the first guy, nothing happened. also i found it a bit hard to see sometimes what colour i was going to drop, and i agree with the commentor who said it would be good to put them sideways rather than just vertical. but i found it fun for a bit and a very novel take on match-3 - a nice proof of concept, which i'm sure would be great with further development.

Lolita Tea Party by jpc133 2015-04-23T23:19:00

didn't look like much at first, but i got quite addicted thanks to the upgrade system. i liked the sprites for the lolitas.

Hoi Polloi - The Majority by Riccardo 2015-04-23T23:14:00

beautiful game! loved it! my favourite LD32 game so far. great mood, really nice take on theme, and the mechanics supported it well. the mechanics are really innovative, fun and simple. well done!!

PALBOT by Hot Box Games 2015-04-21T23:04:00

this felt like a pretty complete and polished game. graphics were nice, mechanics were smooth, and the tutorial and narrative system added a lot to it.

Nallies Party by agilejoshua 2015-04-21T08:35:00

I also got the 'oh no the dragon' ending a few times even though I'd spat the dragon away. Cute graphics, would also like to see it developed more.

Dagobert by Jellyhard 2015-04-23T22:51:00

One of the most innovative entries I've seen so far, also a really unique interpretation of the theme. It could be improved by making it more intuitive to aim the projectiles, also would be good to have visual indication of charging.

(Un)Con by lizard455 2015-04-21T22:27:00

cute character models and some nice enemy design (I liked the challenge of avoiding the green blobs being thrown at you).

Glasses Protector 2000 by leafo 2015-04-21T09:22:00

Really liked the audio. Nice simple graphics too. The game mechanics could have been more innovative.

DUK by Domicuc 2015-04-20T16:40:00

Oh my god, that first kick to an old man really got me! Lovely mood, beautiful art and music. Not just a game, but an 'experience'. Very nice!

The Worker by belenar 2015-04-23T23:04:00

Nice mood and very relevant message, well portrayed.

This is War by Florent Juch 2015-04-20T16:06:00

Wow! Very cool! Very cohesive visuals and audio, and an innovative game mechanic. Loved the mood. Gameplay could have been a bit more diverse (maybe use the mechanic for more than just getting over gaps / obstacles?)

Compactor by Mark T 2015-04-20T15:58:00

Pretty fun! I liked the enemy AI and art. Might be worth clarifying that you press space to jump! Also, I wasn't sure what to do at the long jump bit; there was a box dispenser nearby, couldn't see what I was supposed to do with it.

Score Attack! by boateye 2015-04-22T18:26:00

I was surprised by how fun I found this! Only suggestion I would make would be to balance it a bit; dominant strategy is to just shoot the green ones. Maybe get more points for destroying the others?

Je Suis Charlie by Paulozz 2015-04-23T22:59:00

nice idea!

Tongue Lash by benjamck 2015-04-22T18:49:00

Wow, freaky! Very innovative!

Just my own two cents by NekuSoul 2015-04-20T15:42:00

I was really pleasantly surprised by this game. The screenshot just looks like lazy graphics, but coupled with the gameplay it's actually rather mind-blowing. It's a really cool puzzle platformer concept which is easy to pick up.

Sugar Lake Chronicles by ProgrammerSteve 2015-04-23T22:34:00

I liked the intro and the graphics. I agree with what people are saying about lack of enemies for such a large map; I wandered for ages without seeing anything.

Umbrellespionage by Ilseroth 2015-04-21T18:11:00

I liked the cute graphics and walking animations, and the soundtrack. Guards sounded a bit like they were being pleasured when they were knocked out. Would be good to be able to look ahead to see more of large rooms.

A Toolbox of One by BlakeB 2015-04-21T22:56:00

I like how you worked the game mechanics into a story. I feel the part where you've got to navigate the blue box would benefit from having a different camera perspective, one which was a bit further out so you could see more background rather than looking down at the ground.

Padilla's Pancakes by Borkleby 2015-04-21T22:46:00

I really liked the music, and the core mechanic of shooting the pancakes was quite fun. I found running around the big place got a bit tiresome, I'd consider making the levels smaller and making the gameplay more about the speed / accuracy of firing the pancakes.

BodyBlow by OneTrueAaron 2015-04-20T15:48:00

Fun concept! I like how you can pick up chains of bodies as weapons, and there's a cohesive feel to the mood. I do find the gameplay mechanics a little frustrating; would be good to have some sort of health bar, or at least a restart button for my frequent deaths!

Don't Choke! by Big Cow 2015-04-20T17:07:00

Thanks WebFreak001 - I've fixed that :)

SHAFTED by richiebranson 2015-04-23T23:47:00

Excellent! Really cinematic. I'd play an expanded version of this. Really good concept to be able to control things remotely via computer and see the results via video camera, I think the idea would sustain a full game.

Night Light by Team MAC 2015-04-26T23:34:00

good mood and nice graphics! I found the controls a bit confusing in that wasd keys moved relative to orientation.

Chemtrail Madness by zsoltbartok 2015-04-21T09:08:00

Pretty fun concept. Would have liked to see more carrying over of panic from one stage to the next, so I can witness the effects of the panic building up.

Sticks&Stones by Finchley 2015-04-26T23:55:00

Really nice idea! I liked the game mechanic of learning logical fallacies then applying them to different situations. There are some elements of the gameplay I would change, namely the fact that the enemies are kind of just dotted around and you approach them after wandering around; I'd like a little more direction in the narrative. Other than that, great job!

Gangster Block Manager by ThirdMoon 2015-05-09T16:09:00

I feel there's a lot to this game, and that I'd be able to appreciate it more if I understood it more; I definitely think you should develop this more and add a better tutorial at the beginning, because you've developed something potentially great and it would be a shame for people to miss out. It's a really neat concept, with graphics and audio that enhance the mood really well - I especially like watching the little people moving about on the screen. Good job!

HUGbot by Calvin B 2015-04-21T17:54:00

Nice take on the theme. The game mechanics could be built on to be more challenging; like others have said, optimal strategy is just to hold the down button constantly.

Zombies Took My Strawberry by Dungeonation 2015-04-21T18:06:00

Even the title made me laugh. I really liked the graphics and the intro. Gameplay was a little frustrating (character moved quite slowly, and zombie damage / death animations were too similar).

Celebrity Fart by lucien 2015-04-26T23:43:00

this actually had pretty solid mechanics, and interesting graphics

Vacuum Maiden by UnconventionalFusion 2015-04-23T23:33:00

wasn't sure what i was doing at first, but once i figured it out, i really enjoyed it! it had really interesting and fun game mechanics. i do think you should continue developing it, it's great proof of concept.

PoopShooter by KamilKubiak 2015-04-23T22:42:00

Not bad! The gameplay is pretty solid. It's good that the 'enemies' have different movement patterns. Kind of reminds me of that old arcade game where you defend cities from incoming missiles.

roadtrip by PlasmaErnst 2015-04-26T23:37:00

not bad! could be even better if more content was added like upgrades, more enemies and weapons.

Rescue Mr.Furrybottom by dray 2015-04-21T17:42:00

i enjoyed being able to pick up random items in the corridor, and i liked the boss battle. combat mechanics could be more diverse.

Disaster Theatre by 12 Pechás Of Souls 2015-04-21T09:16:00

Really nice graphics and animation. I feel it might work well as an educational game - it does rely on outside literary knowledge, which might be unfair on the player. The gameplay was innovative and unique, and a really nice take on the theme, I think.

Trappy Trap by trappytrap92 2015-04-21T17:35:00

Very polished! nice graphics and audio. gameplay simple but quite fun for a bit. took me a while to remember which direction to press for which enemy, wasn't very intuitive.

Get Rich! by TurboCorp 2015-04-21T17:25:00

This is probably the most polished LD32 game I've played so far. The intro was great; I just sat and watched it for a bit. The graphics were very nice, and I liked little details like how some objects would shake if you hit them, and you could pick up spent ammo.

COPY GUN by jukimv1986 2015-04-21T22:38:00

nice take on the theme. It had a game mechanic which was unique and interesting, with lots of room to apply to different puzzles, but which was simple to learn at its core. I think this is the mark of a good puzzle mechanic.
I agree with what people have said about having more audiovisual feedback for when you copy things.

Pedestrian Mining Corps by mildmojo 2015-04-21T09:49:00

I really liked the miner models. Gameplay was an interesting idea; would benefit from being developed more so there were more strategy or skill to it.

Love Bomber - The Cult Simulator by Suese 2015-04-21T17:29:00

Really neat! lovely graphics and audio. clever mechanic of hearts breaking if you repeat your path too much.

The Landscape Processor by Simon 2015-04-23T23:25:00

I agree with other commentators that it doesn't fit the definition of 'weapon', but it's a lovely game all the same. simple and fun. the audio added a lot to it.
on thing i found was that, whereas at first it felt like i was on a train or something passing by objects, after i clicked on a bunch of them, it felt more like i was staying still and the objects were coming towards me. i preferred the former perspective, felt more like i was going on a journey. maybe have the ground animate so it still feels like you're travelling forward?

LD33 — You are the Monster

Synapse by tompudding 2015-08-25T17:58:00

Got as far as loading the adventure tape, then tried a whole bunch of commands but not worked. Still, I like the concept, there was a great feeling of excitement on loading the adventure tape. The initial interface was a little advanced for me but I'd love to play a bit more of a noob version :)

The Monster In Me by echokain 2015-08-26T13:39:00

I liked that your choices had an impact on the ending, and that there was a level of strategic decision as well as 'moral' decision. Loved the art style. Would like to see the game expanded with more locations

The Skullcatcher by CrownCity 2015-09-01T21:16:00

I really loved this. The pixel art graphics are lovely and the lack of colour is charming as is the soothing music. Every time I picked up or drop the trolley the "wobup" noise made me laugh. Just the right amount of challenge for a short game and satisfying game dynamic. Feels very complete like a short poem very well done!

Phylactery by NightShadow0 2015-08-25T19:09:00

Pretty original mechanics, neat puzzle element.

FéesVSMonstres by van noctar 2015-08-25T19:23:00

Nice music. I found the controls quite unresponsive when it came to placing turrets which made it quite hard to play unfortunately.

First Person Giant Monster Game by Xanjos 2015-08-28T14:11:00

Nice concept, definitely felt the power of being a huge monster, would be interesting to see it expanded. I would consider adjusting how the points work, because it's easier to rack up points by destroying rocks than by hitting the little humans! :)

Teenage Monster by dpisarcik 2015-08-28T14:22:00

I really liked this game! It had a great mood, with the aesthetics and audio tying in nicely. I loved the little stick figures running around and the cool writing. Gameplay was quite fun but it was a little difficult to get certain stats up. Good job!

Face Puncher by chunkybrewster 2015-08-25T19:14:00

Quite fun for a bit, satisfying feeling of punching. I got to a point where there was someone I couldn't knock down, was this intentional? Quite freaky watching him smiling at me as a punched him! Would like to see the game developed more.

Don't Crawl by NikB 2015-08-25T19:25:00

Its very good, very well done. A little too frustrating for me...god its so addictive though. I love the lack of colour reminds me of c64 games. Man I would love save points. At least I had the satisfaction of crushing that blue blob over and over *SQUISH*. Laser sounds awsome. When the Minotaur started jumping on the platforms I found myself shouting AWW COME ON! Good job.

you are the MONSTER TRUCK!! by dlmrky 2015-09-13T15:27:00

Very nice! I loved the voiceover, the little 3d monster trucks and the simple but fun gameplay. good job!

Interloper by hoqjed 2015-08-26T20:33:00

Reminiscent of Osmos which for me is a good thing! The border graphics are brilliant make you feel like you are inside someones body plus the music is like a heart beat. Nice atmosphere. When I became the leader and the title appeared I thought ahh thats the intro! Would love to see more.

Monster in the House by Jani Nykänen 2015-08-25T17:30:00

Hah, the opening made me laugh out loud, which I don't do much from playing games! Game was simple but fun with very satisfying 'hitting' feeling.

Adolf no Baito! by PixelPerfect 2015-08-25T17:50:00

Really wanted to play but I'm a techno noob (don't be fooled by the fact that I made a game - I used a non-coding toolkit) and I could figure out how to open the jar file :'(

Kawaii Rainbow Happy Time!!!!!!!! by Clayblob 2015-09-01T21:33:00

Had its own rhythm and charm. I liked the way the bricks die as you drive over them haha!

Pedestrian Slaughterer by Linus123xbb 2015-08-28T14:29:00

Yay, I got on the scoreboard! Very fun! The controls on the vehicle felt very smooth, SFX were fun and worked well with the game. I can definitely see this being expanded with upgrades, so that you can spend points on weapons etc. Music would be nice too. Good job!

Urd Monster by abcdef65g 2015-09-04T22:37:00

It's actually pretty amazing that you managed to get decent stealth mechanics / enemy AI into this in such a short time with 2 people. It's a shame about the bug that got me stuck going through a wall, but fortunately by that point I'd been able to appreciate the stealth gameplay and amazing pixel art. I'd consider not having everything so dark though (I know it's a stealth game, but I'd like to see more of the art!) :) Good job!

Mobs, Inc. by Pietro Ferrantelli 2015-09-17T22:02:00

Excellent! Very fun, smooth fast-paced gameplay, lovely art and animations, great mood.

Lunchtime Ninja by HelloWorld Studios 2015-08-24T22:01:00

Great achievement for such a short time! Great idea! Like the pumpin dance track at the start and the creepy music throughout. Character didnt move fast enough for me so got a bit bored of walking around. Got lost at one point till I released the yellow lights show the way. Great sense of humour keeps it going.

Pumpi by ruerob 2015-08-25T18:27:00

Very fun. Cute graphics, music and audio. I liked the simple but satisfying mechanics.

Browser pest by Team Luminous 2015-08-25T19:42:00

Cute idea. I really liked the chomping sound and the idea of jumping around different computers.

Ollie's Journey by brombatti 2015-08-25T19:12:00

Yeah. This was amazing. I kinda guessed the ending tho at the start :). Graphics are cute and warm and animation is sweet too. Movement is great. Satisfying to swing the sword. When it glitches out I totally got tingles and the animals looked creepy as hell. Brilliant!

Monsters by Alexander Ramsay-Baggs 2015-09-01T21:44:00

I really wanted to play but I couldn't work out how to leave the first room and I died twice wah!

City Destruction Simulator 2015 by OriginalOldMan 2015-08-25T19:53:00

I really like alternative and funky player controls like this, which I was better at it!

The Monster Way by Nomys_Tempar 2015-08-25T18:35:00

Very well done. I liked the writing and the branching, and the drawings were really nice. Good job!

Jack the Grinder by Stechas 2015-09-05T22:17:00

Yep thought the theme was great for this one. Being hunted down for being the monster. Strangely addictive. Wanted to see the different "enemies" great step up in difficulty as it progresses. Also liked the variety of inventive attacks from both the player and the enemies. Nice little game. Oh yeah character animations and sounds are funny too.

Hotel Shmotel by Matthew Rayfield 2015-08-25T17:35:00

Loved the take on the theme, playing as a monster whose scary powers are used for 'good'! I felt immediately engaged roleplaying as this monster, and I liked the voice acting too. A bit of music would fit nicely I think. Good job!

Sparks 'N The Knight by UncleChris 2015-08-25T19:29:00

Very good for first game! I liked the destructable environment. Fun enough for me to replay until I found momma. Adding a restart button and different visual feedback for when you're hurt would improve it I think. Good job!

Monster. Interactive comics by pavel_insight 2015-08-25T18:05:00

Very clever mechanic of having to click certain points in the picture to progress the panels. I also liked how things / people could move from one panel to another. Cool stuff! :)

Lovers on a Park Bench by peterthehe 2015-09-01T22:16:00

Abstract, interesting, artistic, poetic. Experienced two endings one where I didn't kill anything and one where I killed my ex. I like the narrative element and the way it made me imagine this jealous ex lover (yellow box) watching this scene unfolding.

Home Alone: Ozzyla by TajamSoft 2015-08-26T22:29:00

Loved the music, good SFX too. I like the art. I liked the jumping mechanic and being able to jump so high. I encountered a bug where the dog seemed to be running below the ground. Good job!

Roaring Randy Reptilian Playboy by Arskiainen 2015-08-26T21:12:00

The core gameplay mechanics though simple worked surprisingly well. Was very fun playing as a huge monster and squishing those tiny pedestrians. Nice audio too. Really excellent proof of concept, would be interested to play an expanded version.

Feed The Cracken by DarthThomas 2015-09-05T19:28:00

It was satisfying destroying all those ships. I got to level 6. I thought the difficulty ramped up well over time. Took a risk and attacked a battle ship and was pleased to find you can destroy them if you want at a large cost to health.

Sunrise's Pact ( Ludum Dare 33 ) by fafastudio 2015-08-26T20:25:00

Its got appropriate vampire organ music and I like how the music changes when you get down to 20 or so seconds. Fits the theme. A good base for more adding more enemies, attacks, objectives, levels etc. Character moved a bit slow for me wanted to kill more!

Project Jumpius by kirilllosev 2015-08-24T22:25:00

I really liked this game its strangely addictive and I love the noise the little people make when you squish them. I wish I could kill those tanks!

Team S.T.E.A.L.T.H. by Jacic 2015-08-25T19:19:00

Really innovative, I haven't seen turn-based stealth like this before, a kind of puzzle-stealth game I guess. Interesting mechanics, and I liked how the levels were linked together with a narrative. Good job!

Hungry Friend by KerSplotchPolice 2015-09-01T21:50:00

HAHA! This made me laugh. I like that it just suddenly ends with the realisation that he just ate all his friends.

The Dragonslug by Nek 2015-08-24T21:47:00

I liked the flying animation and the double jump and its satisfying when you kill them. Not obious you are dieing when you hit something but the music is well done, moody and slightly disturbing in a good way haha.

You are the Hero by rotpar 2015-08-25T19:37:00

I liked the enemies that fired projectiles. Good progression of difficulty. The jumping felt a little 'floaty'.

Boblar's Ascension by AzureAspect 2015-08-25T17:44:00

Couldn't run because 'sfml-audio-2.dll' is missing from my computer :(

Oozin' in Space! by bclikesyou 2015-08-24T21:42:00

Haha good work on the theme. Also love the sound it makes when you hide in the cupboard. Took me a while to work out you died if the space men face you so very frustrated at first. Great idea love the retro mood.

WICKED SK8 by goet 2015-08-25T17:42:00

I liked the aesthetics, including the cool details like the changes on people's facial expressions when you ran over them. The controls could have been smoother but good start given the short time frame!

Super Jauzer by andi475 2015-09-05T22:05:00

I found this really charming. The music is lovely and relaxing and the thought of a turtle from mario just going about doing what we does is really sweet. Being a mario fan I found this really funny as well. yay!

Super Jauzer by andi475 2015-09-05T22:06:00

Forgot to rate

Monster Run by TicZo 2015-09-06T18:58:00

Reminds me of cannabalt. I like the way you have limited health and barely visible traps that add a bit of challenge. Seems that hitting a trap occasionally made a man chase me which was cool.

BlobZilla by baldman 2015-08-25T18:47:00

Nice idea, would be interested to see it with more polish. Fun brutal gameplay with interesting moral option of freeing people. It was a bit awkward that you had to press 'back' and go back to the menu to upgrade.

Under Full Moon by Minhir 2015-09-05T21:58:00

Hey there! Great idea why no innovation rating? I loved the way you turned into a wolf when you were in the moonlight but back into a man when you were in the shadows. Could jump on people to kill them but was frustrated that I found no way to protect myself as a man and just kept getting trapped by guards in the shade.

Gamedev Nightmare by Digitaldude555 2015-08-25T18:53:00

I found the gameplay mechanics fun once I'd read some comments and figured out how it worked! The attack animation could have been more visible. Nice music and stealthy dark aesthetics.

Monster Chips by derugin.s 2015-09-01T22:02:00

Wow amazing work on the graphics. And good music change when in trouble. Atmospheric music and lighting overall mood is great.

Fortress Austria by FortressAustria 2015-09-13T15:02:00

Heh, this was actually pretty fun! Nice variety of weapons to use and interesting concept to relate it to the migrant situation and compare hateful comments to weapons.

rIPoff by VideoDog 2015-09-13T15:22:00

Nice concept. I liked how the mechanics tied in with the narrative. Interesting and unique idea. It was cool that you had a mixture of top-down exploration and platformer for the different levels. good job!

Escape From The City by miwuc 2015-08-25T19:04:00

Very cute and fun! You did a great job at making me feel sympathy for the monster :)

Dragon's Horde by KunoNoOni 2015-09-13T15:41:00

Simple but fun! Loved the sound the soldiers made when you killed them. really liked the music too. good job!

Inner Monsters by psypol 2015-08-24T22:34:00

This is a really excellent idea and excellently executed. Artwork is great and I like the way their face turns evil when you give them what they want. Felt really bad but I guess thats the point.

Crabs in da Pipe, yo! by Steven Colling 2015-08-24T22:17:00

Yay! Good stylized graphics and coloring. Reminiscent of first mario arcade game. Chip tune style music and generally satisfying gameplay. Was a bit hard! Would love it to ramp up over time after a few satisfying easier levels of crushing slow moving crabs. But anyway a great job in the time allowed!!!

KaijuKrush by Sparrow 2015-08-25T19:36:00

I really liked this and played all 6 levels. Was a bit disappointing there was no end but hey. Its fun chewin through buildings. The graphics are just right and the game time is not too long or too hard. Theme tune was cool too. Good job!

Human's Industry by Lythom 2015-09-13T15:31:00

Very unique and well implemented! I liked how it had simple mechanics but it 'procedurally generated' a narrative so that it added meaning to the growth of your monster. really well done!

LD34 — Two Button Controls / Growing

Infinity Monkey Autocorrect by andyman404 2015-12-17T21:20:00

Very original concept, well-executed. Audio and visuals were lovely, with nice little details such as the poop on the keyboard. A neat interactive experience!

Kubble by MemoryLeek 2015-12-15T19:50:00

Hey hey! Fun little game simple but challenging. I also couldn't solve the first puzzle!

From Sprout to Splendor by xevozfighter 2015-12-28T11:22:00

Really relaxing. Beautiful graphics soothing music and innovative gameplay dynamic. Was frustrated at first because I didn't know ants would defend against caterpillars and kept dying :P. Felt the gameplay was really rewarding and appreciated you made this a 10 minute playable concept that gave me the satisfaction of winning :)

DESEEDER by Zanzlanz 2016-01-01T21:17:00

Pumpin tune! Fun addictive play. Looks pretty with very few pixels. Well done for stick to two button theme too!

Octov by Taldius 2016-01-05T00:15:00

I thought this was really good. The use of special sequences was really clever and a really interesting take on the two button challenge. The graphics are lovely and really set the mood. Well done!

There's Always a Bigger... by Jerre 2015-12-16T20:35:00

Kinda like a flappy birds Osmos/Agar.io mix! Found it quite fun. Well done!

Beardgrow by esayitch 2015-12-18T12:57:00

Hello fellow beard game maker! I loved your game. Simple but great graphics. Liked the back story. Good use of humur, true to both themes and clever use of limited controls. Nostalgic game play and quite innovative that you take the items back to your room to progress also found it quite addictive. Cheers!

4mula Fun by Aaants 2015-12-28T12:56:00

Split screen racing in 72 hours waaaahhht? Seriously great work for the challenge. Graphics are good. I like that the screens that are not in use are cameras on the action. The controls are good (some racers make it too hard and you hit things all the time). Great work!

BigFish by Conve 2015-12-16T21:32:00

Simple game. I like the eat the things smaller than you to grow bigger concept. You made it so that the ones bigger than you suddenly appear right next to you! haha thanks!

AB race by davidB 2015-12-17T21:46:00

Simple and effective, gameplay very similar to my own entry, except you've made it multiplayer! :) Nice use of both themes.

Rolla Grolla Arena by Xanjos 2015-12-27T19:09:00

Nice use of both themes! Well done on creating a two-player game. Graphics were a bit simple but I liked the cool particle effects :)

Sprout by Wolve 2015-12-28T10:46:00

This is a very good exploration platormer that reminds me of games from the Knitt series. The upgrade dynamic, mini map, graphics you achieved a lot in a short time! Id love to see what else you can do with more time!

V BALL by longloaf 2015-12-16T20:59:00

Fun addictive and frustrating. Dynamic of floating up automatically when you move was very smart and the graphics are simple but nice and softly rendered.

CICP : the Center for Interplanetary Pest Control by Robber 2015-12-15T19:18:00

Wow the graphics hit you and you go woah that's cool! Music carries the mood, it wasn't quite clear what was happening but got it in the end. Well done great job!

Growing Ties by drludos 2015-12-18T12:25:00

Um...WOW! Brilliant idea, excellently executed. This was fun, simple, addictive, funny and innovative. Jolly well done!

CELL - Φ by Kerdelos 2016-01-01T23:05:00

mmm smooth music. Interesting take on the theme (of growing I guess). Nice to slow down the pace from all the shooters!

Docker life simulator 2015 by Ayte 2015-12-14T23:41:00

This is one of those games which is a simple concept and easy to pick up, but you can actually get a lot of mileage out of it. Some people have commented that it's short or gets old quickly, but I found that because of the quirky physics, it allowed for emergent strategies (such as making use of slipped boxes to form a larger base for your structure), which gave it good replayability. The swinging chain was a really nice touch. Good job!

Cipolletti by psychonull 2016-01-04T22:01:00

Fun once I got the hang of the controls. Great graphics :)

Snake Growth by jonask 2015-12-17T22:25:00

UGG! Sorry I tried to play but System Error says Missing MSVP12D.dll!

The amazingly clunky 2-button platformer! by JaytleBee 2016-01-01T23:38:00

You totally delivered on the title! Actually I found it quite clever how there is the puzzle element due to he limitation of the controls. very Frustrating and very clunky. Good sense of humour. Nice work.

Radical Revolver Recoil Rampage by AndreasL 2015-12-28T11:09:00

I am glad I got to play your game! Its really innovative. Simple and addictive. The graphics and movement give it a sense of humour. You stuck to the two button theme really well and did a lot with it. Its rock hard so a ramp up in skill would have been appreciated :) Well done!

Grow to the Moon by Joshua Stone 2016-01-02T14:29:00

This was hilarious. I had tears in my eyes at the end. It didn't need to be long its brilliant. I guess the only thing I would have liked was points at the end. Anyway well done!

Defuse Run by dreadzilla 2016-01-04T22:45:00

The graphics of the car and track are really good. I imagine with more time this would be a really good looking game. The dynamics of the car made it hard to control but it was fun going round the loops and finding the boxes. Kinda reminded me of quarantine a bit. Well done!

Snow n' Grow by SuperDolfy 2016-01-04T21:20:00

Was really relaxing watching the snow fall. Worked out you can periodically get rid of a bit of snow and jump not sure what else there was. Cute graphics. Nice.

The Super Bros (that are not Brothers!) by Xinelu 2015-12-18T12:28:00

Very clever of you to have two that you need to progress. Simple puzzle platformer true to the button theme. Found the running animation quite hilarious.

Aggravation Cubes by Keith Stellyes 2015-12-16T20:26:00

Hilarious little game. I thought you got the dynamic of hitting things with your ball to kill them really right. Its soooo hard and frustrating! Enemy background was hilariously detailed for the amount of graphics detail. Reminded me of games on the Atari 2600 ahhh memories.

Wizard and The Sun by HolyBlackCat 2015-12-15T20:02:00

YAY! This is great! Really innovative use of jumping puzzles and the teleport staff. Reminded me of VVVVV. Great job.

Space Mitosis by thelasthour 2015-12-16T19:52:00

Ahh I think this was a really lovely concept. The music is gentle and I love the way if you do nothing it zooms out and slowly fades out. Nice sense of scale and atmosphere!

SUPER SCIENCE CORP by Hot Box Games 2015-12-17T22:52:00

Brilliant gaming experience! Reminded me of Alien Breed :P Really balanced difficulty. Required strategic cannon firing and strafing . Liked the upgrades. Liked the funny guy on the tannoy. Just really good work well done!

Kill the Christmas Trees by rd127p77 2015-12-16T22:55:00

Christmas Eve Late Delivery Service by ajopart 2016-01-02T14:19:00

Good take of two button theme. Fun concept and a sense of humour with all the audio samples. Well done!

Recnac by thedashdude 2015-12-16T21:22:00

Nice combo of puzzle platformer with a kind of Osmos/Agar.io dynamics to dissolve things smaller than you very innovative. Well done!

Destructive Power by DarkGrisen 2015-12-16T20:00:00

Oh yeah top score 2710! Thought this was really clever concept and strangely satisfying. Simple audio and video but really fun! Well done.

A Striangle Journey by Bobsleigh 2015-12-15T20:37:00

Really hard and fun! Liked the power up to square to wall jump! Really quick movements. Weeeee.

Ourobos by SinclairStrange 2015-12-28T11:33:00

Woah how did you do so much in such a short time? I love exploratory platformers and this really kept me hooked! Really great retro feel. Atmospheric graphics and music that changes with zones. The map and the log entries were nice additions. Not sure you stuck to any themes (arrow keys are buttons too you know :P) but its brilliant!

Two Button Detective or a Story about Stolen Diamond by Si1ver 2015-12-15T20:08:00

Great mood. Like the figures and the scene.

Super Mower by jachepe 2015-12-15T20:23:00

Fun little game! Steering frustratingly wide lol. Like the monster plant too.

The Artifact by nunesbarbosa 2016-01-02T14:10:00

I was very impressed with this. I like the transition to the sphere where the buttons appear, the limited buttons used to make kind of puzzles (that were not too frustrating) and the upgrade element is really satisfying. The exploration element is great too. The ball hits things with an awesome shake and sound. The music gives a sense of awe and mystery. Overall I think its great! Well done.

Squirrel Forest by Luminar 2015-12-15T19:25:00

Like the concept but lost on the game play.

Squirrel Forest by Luminar 2015-12-15T19:33:00

Like the concept but lost on the game play.

Runaway Rob by dkdwrek 2016-01-05T00:48:00

I found this really satisfying just shoot and jump its simple but addictive! I liked the different graphics too and the retro feel. There wasn't much to it but I like what you did within the time of the compo. Cheers!

Canoe A-Go-Go: The Saga of Johmemy by ohmmus 2015-12-15T20:30:00

I love it!! boat times

Tree of Life by pavel_insight 2015-12-15T14:26:00

Very nice atmospheric game - clever use of poems for puzzle-solving, lovely mood. Would have been enhanced by some audio, but hard to do this within the time frame. Nice art as well. Good job!

GrowSeedPinball by freaknarf 2015-12-16T21:17:00

Brilliantly done. Reminded me of playing on the game boy. Im so glad you didnt make it too hard. So many pinball games you just lose your ball over and over and dont get the satisfaction of hitting things. Cute graphics and nice beebs and boops. Thanks!

From the Deep by scorched 2016-01-01T22:47:00

What an amazingly cool idea! This is like no other platformer I have played. You successfully stayed within the two button and growing themes and the limit on controls The scale and the peaceful birds flying across add to the mood. The graphics are simple but within the time I think you did great well done :)

Can't Jump by x92rwzb 2016-01-05T00:59:00

Oh my god this was a brilliant idea and so infuriating. I kept playing through because its quite addictive also the way the character moved made me laugh :). Good work.

Rollin Lemmin by PixelStuff 2015-12-18T10:49:00

Aww man couldnt play. I got a Javascript error in Chrome and FF :( Sorry I tried.

Rollin Lemmin by PixelStuff 2015-12-18T11:06:00

Web version didnt work (JS error) but the windows one did! Really stunning work on the graphics. Didn't get very far. You could have made it a bit easier :P Brilliant idea for collecting the snow and funny idea to make it a lemming. Would work well as a phone game. Reminded me of Olli Olli. Amazing work for the compo well done!

spin-circle by Modoc73 2015-12-18T15:14:00

Really expertly done. Simple game but addictive and satisfying. True to the two button theme. Great job.

Grow by Melusine 2016-01-02T15:11:00

The concept is really clever. Just a few negatives. The control over the character is really frustrating. The music was good but creates a really negative atmosphere that didnt go with the very nice cartoony graphics so the mood was a bit confusing. Overall though nice take on the theme. Well done.

No Birds In This Game by Grahhhhh 2015-12-28T12:50:00

You really stuck to the two button challenge well: top marks for that! Great idea to do puzzles with this control system. Overal nice idea and odd sense of humour :P

Go, Go, Radzilla! by Crowno 2015-12-28T11:04:00

Haha amazing. Well done on the graphics! The glow is gorgeous and everything is animated brilliantly. The game dynamic was satisfying and simple. You managed to do a lot with two buttons as well. Really fun. Nice work.

Dizzy Skies by ploy 2015-12-16T21:40:00

I tried to play this but it comes up with some error about running from file://// not working until you upload for security reasons. I tried Im sorry!

Bouncing Bounces by khofez 2015-12-16T22:47:00

Used the constraint of two buttons superbly. Very satisfying gameplay jumping and explosions! Brilliant.

Hammer Time by demogorgon 2016-01-02T01:28:00

Innovative use of two mouse buttons. Liked the boomerang affect on the hammer. Had to get timing just right to hit the targets and avoid hitting things so nice multitasking challenge. Good work.

Stricken Chicken by Picking a username is hard 2016-01-01T20:24:00

Good sense of humour. I like that they grow till they explode. It was fun and silly. Well done :)

Dig Runner by mikedurn 2016-01-05T00:42:00

Brilliant! Its an excellent idea and nicely executed. The animation of the characters is just great and the gameplay feels satisfying. Its like you are really in an areana fighting for your life: it made me think of Tron actually. Anyway nice entry for the compo!

We used to be Neighbours by axoona 2016-01-04T22:05:00

Interesting concept. Over complex rules which take away from the fun. Great music!

supesuatakku by moisesjbc 2016-01-04T21:52:00

Quite scary! Tried to run but the bullets didn't work from far away so had to charge. Killed a few then got killed nice work for the compo.

MotherCube (strategic puzzle) by Jacktheviper 2015-12-16T20:16:00

The graphics were well executed on this one. Found the controls a but frustrating and the levels a bit too long. The dynamic of having several players to help each other is very clever though. Feed the mother cube :)

Don't Stop Drilling by VideoDog 2015-12-15T19:32:00

Really fun! music good. Well done!

Jeff is having issues controlling his appetite by Ittai Manero 2015-12-15T20:46:00

Sam and Mas Two Button Attack Game - MULTIPLAYER ONLY, two people required to play by richardboegli 2016-01-05T00:35:00

You took minimal to the maximum level! It is a game and actually has more gameplay dynamic than some other games I have played in this compo :) There is not much to it but interesting concept so nice work

Chicken Spin by RSquarStudios 2016-01-04T21:14:00

Haha very cute. The tweet sound is very funny lovely movement.

Insight by gmatsura 2015-12-18T11:44:00

I think you created a really nice atmosphere here. Peacefully attending to plants and helping them grow. Graphics were nice kinda reminded me of proteus and I like the way things sway in the breeze. A nice little scene. Cheers!

Speyer74 by WiLD 2015-12-18T11:33:00

Nice little story. Interesting style on the character animation. Music was good! I like games that are more story driven than shooting stuff. There is potential here to do more puzzles with the grow shrink dynamic.

Growth Control by Akhera 2015-12-16T20:42:00

Wow very clever design. Took me a while to work out what was going on.

Ultra CopyCat Force by xanwan 2015-12-16T22:07:00

I really enjoyed this. Showing my age but I like galaga clones and this is the first one i've played this year in the compo :). Nice and simple a few varied power ups, not too hard, nice last resort with the boomerang thing and throwing/taking the P out of them :) lol. Decent tune. Thanks!

Combat Hell by antonuklein 2015-12-18T12:48:00

This was really fun and addictive. Shotgun upgrade was harder to use than machine gun tho! I thought you got the graphics and movement just right. Very nostalgic feel especially the low-bit noises and music. Well done.

Crab Quest by Squid 2015-12-17T22:08:00

Hey there the crab drawing is good the textures were good too crab controls worked fine. Never played a LD game on unreal engine before. Innovative the engine. Crab moved a bit too slow and download was way too large.

Safe or Sorry by JimmothySanchez 2015-12-17T22:22:00

Graphics were lovely! I liked the foreboding atmosphere and found the monster genuinely terrifying. The sound of the monster added to the terror. Concept was good too.

Grow Big and Go Home by MikeTsunami 2016-01-02T15:16:00

Hehe I liked this it reminded me of games on the c64. I liked the upgrades and the simple addictive gameplay. Nice job!

Dem Alein Gaem by CzarSilvestrini 2016-01-01T23:45:00

Great graphics, Nice animation. Like the dynamic of avoiding things in a kind of lab environment. You used both themes! I think this is the first game I have played where you do grow but you have to avoid it or you die. Nice work for the compo!

Speed Sid by tribrain 2015-12-16T21:10:00

Wow character logo and background designs are beautiful. Lovely theme tune. Great take on the theme. Reminded me of bit trip runner.

Partners in Crime by trozen 2015-12-28T12:43:00

Wow this was amazing! I cant believe you created something of this quality is such a small time. Great use of multiple challenges at a time even with 2 buttons! The audio and visuals add to the humour. Really nice work. Very well done!

Son by Henriq 2015-12-15T20:15:00

Liked the mood and colours of this also always like a game that lets you double jump!

Clouk by pixelpotions 2016-01-05T01:13:00

I like what you did in the compo time looks very exciting and I hope you keep working on it because the graphics and concept of a platformer with mouse are great. Chicken freezing on death makes me think of sonic when he drowns slightly terrifying :) Well done!

All Ways Down by noddingTortoise 2015-12-18T10:02:00

This wins it for innovation for me great puzzle idea and great use of game dynamic to create challenges. With the music a nice mellow experience. Well done for sticking strictly to two buttons!

FightCube by nacks 2015-12-17T23:00:00

Nice little shoot at each other game. Clever to make the tank fire when you turn then no need for extra keys!

Stickman Sam in the High Fly Sky by Simple Potential 2016-01-02T15:26:00

Simple and quite fun you got the dynamic between keeping flying and avoiding birds going well. Argh it was really hard to collect the powerups though :)

Bad Doggie by Muel 2016-01-02T15:00:00

Great cartoony graphics and its the right choice of music to go with it. You stuck well to two buttons too. Its a nice way to do an endless running game. Nice work.

Chaotic Potato by drinkadriu 2016-01-05T00:27:00

When the game starts everything is turning and lots of things are happening lol. I loved the sense of scale in a kind of free to explore platform world. I also liked that it didnt take itself to seriously :) Kinda a cross between Hohokum and Supermeat boy and superfrog with a potato thrown in for good measure. Nice work!

Belly Smash by Drunkain 2015-12-16T21:46:00

Hilarious and fun. Great graphics and fun concept. A complete game of this quality in 72 hours wow!

Organ-izer by The Merge Conflicts 2015-12-28T10:58:00

This is so clever! I love the ideas of the body getting older and being in the stomach! Music is "silly" but is appropriate for the style and idea you chose and has a sense of humour about it. Well done for sticking to the two buttons. The wonky bone movement is a bit infuriating but adds an element of hilarity and skill. I wanted to save all the things but I couldn't! Well done!

Astrocats : Supernova Alert by TeamCalin 2015-12-16T22:33:00

This was hilarious from the get go. Animation and sound at the start are brilliant! Meow! Sense of threat constantly and infuriatingly those damned asteroids seem to get more accurate as your ship repairs. Cunning. Managed it in the end 72.17! Well done :)

FloppySnake by zguerrero 2015-12-16T20:08:00

I am glad you didnt make this too hard because its quite mesmeric and peaceful :). The graphics are great I love the waviness of the er....worms top and bottom and the light worm flows excellently. Found it frustratingly touching the light orbs but not collecting them conversely that made the spikes hard to hit so not so. Also though it was clever that you dont die as such just go back to zero. Much more satisfying. Nice one!

PATRYOSHKA by -SPiRiT- 2015-12-28T13:01:00

I really liked this concept. I like the idea of collecting bits of a ship in space to get bigger and bigger and the asteroids added an element of challenge. Well done for sticking to the themes and wrapping it up into a game with an ending in time for the competition!

Hero's War by murlsousa 2016-01-02T14:51:00

Nice shooter. Mashed my mouse buttons like a maniac and got up into the hundreds but it seemed to stop getting much harder after a while. Nice job on an interesting concept for the challenge!

Bacterial by PlymouthJam 2015-12-16T21:57:00

Osmos fan here. You got the music and the game play down great!

Button Quest by Henez 2015-12-17T21:27:00

Found this on Gamejolt before I realised it was a Ludum Dare game, came here to rate it. Will copy and paste the comment I left on Gamejolt:

'This was actually... pretty awesome. Really fun and simple mechanics, well-excecuted, nice ideas all round including the spell selection system and the retention of power-ups.'

I do agree with the comments that have pointed out that the healing spell is overpowered - but I don't fault the game for that given that it's v hard to balance everything perfectly within the time available. Would definitely like to see this game developed more!

Shaving Day : The Shave After Tomorrow by gloim 2015-12-17T23:07:00

Haha laughed at this so much. This is hilarious little game of sorts. Strangely satisfying. Added hilarity that beard starts to grow on forehead if you are not fast enough :P Good job!

Testing Lab xy by kerneltt 2016-01-05T00:54:00

This was really hard! I like that the direction is indicated with the light and I liked the way the box moves smoothly but I could barely see the bullet and kept getting hit. I like the simple and addictive gameplay. Well done!

RGB Space by IndieST 2016-01-05T01:06:00

This was really amazing. Such a great idea and gameplay was the right pace to challenge me on my mac touchpad :) Loved the way it slows down when you drag to give you a bit of grace excellent tweak that makes all the difference. Music and graphics set the mood. Really great work. Well done!

Original mechanics, good level design, great use of theme!

Squared by JPatrick 2016-05-06T22:27:00

Nice little scoot around and shoot type game. Reminded me of the dynamic in super smash tv. Found it very hard to avoid being hit and hard to press the numbers to change shape when moving around and shooting. Great idea though. Pew Pew! -R

Subverse by Mekuri 2016-04-19T20:52:00

Nice little underwater world!

SHAPE.SHIFT() by Xanjos 2016-04-20T23:49:00

Fun, addictive, nice aesthetics and music. I agree with others about the difficulty - mainly because it's hard to visually gauge whether you're lined up or not due to the angle.

AntiVaxx by macronoid 2016-04-21T22:22:00

I liked everything about this game - fun gameplay, lovely music, cute little puckered lips on the virus! :D

The Last Shift Shaper: Preparation by Knowledge 2016-05-06T21:55:00

You effectively created the feel of a vast scale with the top down view of a large maze and I like the way the maze shape shifts as you navigate it.

RETRO MIAMI BEAT by giordanno92 2016-05-06T22:02:00

I'm not use to beat matching games so ramp up in difficulty was a bit fast for me. Having said that I loved the way you introduced more and more difficult ways of following he beat with shape and position. The music is thumping and you want to follow allow so you can nail it. Nice use of pauses too. Overall a really great entry so well done! -R

Shapeshift by suurin 2016-04-20T15:37:00

Had a lot of fun playing this. The simple graphics worked well. Nice aesthetics as well as gameplay.

Battle of Britain 2 by SuperChihuahua 2016-04-19T18:10:00

This was a really ambitious entry - I like that you've introduced mechanics I've never seen before in a game, good job! :)

ShapeOut 2016: Extreme Fast Forward by DraKlaW 2016-05-06T22:20:00

I thought you made something really great here. Things zoom by quicker and quicker and the warning system is really cleverly done. Nice addition of graphics for the characters and a back story to give each level meaning. Well done! -R

The Creation by RyanMan56 2016-05-06T21:47:00

Short little game. Clearly has a sense of humour. I liked the way the creation moved and there was a shapeshift! Cheers -R

Land of the Dead by Mathieu Muller 2016-05-06T22:13:00

What a great idea. I love the dynamic of possessing and using the abilities of the thing you possess made me think back to old 3d game Messiah. Nice interpretation of the theme and nice little platformer. Well done -R.

Onion Cook by Pat Kemp 2016-04-28T21:39:00

This was great! Nice use of physics as part of the challenge. Great sense of humor as well. It was hilarious when I served one square of onion and it said You Did It! Id love to see a game like this like this with lots of mini games where you must serve different foods. Even better make it competitive cooking so friends can play with onions flying everywhere! Well done -RS

Atlantis Dare by James Coote 2016-04-22T20:44:00

Very ambitious compo entry, innovative mechanics, great use of theme. If it were to be expanded, in-game tutorial stuff and a bit more in way of feedback for what's going on could be a next step.

Project - O by Blister 2016-04-20T15:45:00

Impressive level of polish for a compo entry, loved the aesthetics. Interesting and varied gameplay.

Silver Bullet by pavel_insight 2016-04-19T18:01:00

Very nice story scenario with enjoyable choices. Nice touch with the breathing animation. Enjoyed it! :)

RGB Escape by Mieeh 2016-04-20T18:22:00

Great idea for a game! Made it to the end just as the puzzles were getting tricky you seriously could make this into a much bigger game with loads of tough puzzles :) Thanks so much for having save points :P Anyway nice job!

Le Frog Ship by katorovitalo 2016-04-19T20:16:00

Haha. I just love that you did the sound track with your voice haha! Avoidin French things flying through space whats not to love :)

Andari Prime by Fabraz 2016-04-19T19:34:00

This has style in spades... really nice aesthetics, great sense of exploration, love how you could go into different buildings, nice little world you created.

It's Just a Phase! by terryg 2016-04-28T21:58:00

Really lovely game. You did a decent amount of level design for the challenge! i liked the music too. Obviously some thought went into how to set the mood with the music and I thought it worked well. Great idea for the shapeshifting theme as well. Nicely done -RS

The Protagonist by Big Cow 2016-04-21T10:10:00

Wow thats great feedback terryg! You are right the payoff is greater if the player/protagonist has to struggle more. And Im sorry that we didnt make it feel like enough of a struggle for the payoff to work for you. Effectively the struggle is elicited by the father in the basement and the first round of scenes where he keeps failing before he gains the strength to fight back. We'll make sure to incorporate your feedback into our next project. Anyway glad it at least kept your attention :) Thanks for playing.

Mr. E by leo_p_mahon 2016-04-21T22:37:00

Great mood, lovely aesthetics, fun gameplay. I'd consider adding an option to end the slow-mo once you've finished shooting.

Rock'N'Roll'N'Spring by Khallane 2016-04-20T18:10:00

Nice little jump and stomp platformer. I liked how the spring rolled as you jumped. Was quite frustrting at times but I made it to the end.

Forge Rampage by Riftpoint 2016-04-19T18:24:00

Really polished entry, great use of theme, simple but fun mechanics. liked! :)

VodkaOrDead by Kalm004 2016-04-20T18:30:00

The Great Biohazard Escape by axoona 2016-04-30T02:01:00

Nice puzzle design, lovely graphics, music and mood. Could have been made clearer that clicking the bottom of the screen turns you around :)

xXShapeShooterXx by karln 2016-04-20T18:37:00

This was a really hard one! I loved the different attributes of each shape. Shooting as the triangle was really satisfying but I wish I had more bullets! The pentagon made a great little tune with its bullets as it shot and the circle was a good safety.

Polyjam by Quique 2016-04-20T18:43:00

I thought you did a decent job on the theme. Really inventive idea for a game. Nicely executed. Was fun despite being simple. Good job.

Hasardeux by Llucile 2016-04-21T22:17:00

This is actually one of my favourite games of LD35 so far. Pure, simple and really fun gameplay, gets you thinking of different strategies.

5h1ft by AlmightyTuna 2016-04-19T18:05:00

I really liked the variety of weapons, and the nice aesthetic touches such as the screen shake when shooting :)

SPELLDOWN! by pixelpotions 2016-04-28T21:12:00

Really nice art and animation, simple and fun gameplay, nice use of theme. I tried 'breaking' the drawing system only to find that it was very well-coded and robust! If you're planning on expanding the game, I'd consider giving the characters more than one shape to draw.

Neon Shifter by anshulsinghxd 2016-04-19T18:56:00

Graphics are pretty. Music really fits the graphics. I like the game play and you have to be fast choosing the right shape. DAMN survival is hard :) Great job, thanks.

Sparrow & Flitt by Skruffye 2016-04-19T21:05:00

Nice use of whistling to communicate with sidekick, made me think of Link's ocarina! Liked the mood, interesting gameplay.

Egg Clegger by pythong 2016-04-19T20:06:00

Lol this might be one of the most hilarious things I have ever seen! Why am I still clicking? MUST SEE WHAT HAPPENS NEXT. SO ADDICTED. ARGGGH.

CastleShift by JefePapaya 2016-04-19T19:53:00

Really well-executed. Novel and fun gameplay, with surprisingly decent enemy AI, and really nice artistic and humorous touches.

KTD by virgate 2016-04-28T21:46:00

I liked the neon graphics and the different ships and the balance of abilities and powers between them. Difficulty ramped up really quick so I didn't last long but nice range of enemies that I did see. Cheers -RS

Adventurer Knight by arturgiardi 2016-04-28T22:04:00

Liked the graphics and animation of the characters. Reminded me a bit of Wonderboy! I love exploratory platformers so thanks for entering one. Nice work -RS

Great use of theme, fun gameplay, lovely graphics and sound.

The Frog Prince and the Iron Heart by celia14 2016-04-21T23:06:00

Good writing, I enjoyed the subtle changes and extra depth added to the narrative.

Shining Eye by Wisedawn 2016-04-19T19:44:00

Impressed with what you managed to get done for the Jam. game play is simple but challenging I like that moving at shooting was done with the same click it so you have to time things right. Would work great as a mobile game! I thought the text was well written too. Well done :)

Shaper by codelyoko373 2016-04-19T19:12:00

Nice little platformed nice innovation with the use of shapes to do different things! Nice one.

ChiroNinja by Reiv 2016-04-19T19:08:00

Great! I like the innovative choice of bat as the shape shift. Art is good too reminds me of game boy games for some reason. Well done.

Cusphid by teambradberry 2016-05-06T21:36:00

Really loved this. Great idea for a game. Nice ramp up in difficulty. I liked the music too. Constant feeling of tension and relief as you make it through...or dont. A great little game. Well done.

LD37 — One room

Defeat the Kraken by quentinus60 2016-12-13T21:25:00

Decent multi level boss fight and I found it very hard even on easy :) not really to theme but a nice little shooter. Thanks. -RS

The One Roomed House by keckles 2016-12-19T22:52:00

Haha I like the tile clue. Try as I might I couldn't climb up though :) Anyway nice work on the one room concept for this LD. Cheer -RS

nO mooRe by frittatenbank 2016-12-13T22:14:00

Really atmospheric, the music fitted really well, engaging story. The ending genuinely made my hairs stand on end. There wasn't always logic behind when something became allowed to be picked up, but I got through the puzzles no problem and enjoyed the journey.

Love Bar by lpl1994 2016-12-16T22:04:00

This reminds me of nights I've had trying to find a partner when going to bars and clubbing. What an interesting and original experience you created! Cheers -RS

Ilea's Life by kathie 2016-12-17T00:47:00

The skull image is gorgeous and I found the idea of travelling through it on a platform game as the "one room" really nice. I'm really glad you had fun making this its why I do Ludum Dare! -RS

Lost In The Dance by Lukeryn 2016-12-13T21:44:00

Gorgeous. Nice modelling, materials and lighting. Really cool set up and I like the mystery element to it. Good work!

DestrucToy by GriloGordo 2016-12-13T20:39:00

Great job on this. Found it really fun driving around the room and trying to make the loops. Its pretty unforgiving I mean I found it hard to make it all the way round -RS

Throne Room by keravcin 2016-12-17T19:40:00

Nice work on this. It feels like a complete game, which is impressive for the short space of time. I also probably played this longer than any game so far to try to build up my kingdom but eventually I ran out of gold and all my people died :(. I like how you expanded the universe out of the room without leaving the room. The room itself looks cool too. Thanks. -RS

Kitchens Master Chef ! by makoto2008 2016-12-17T00:35:00

Hey nice idea. I really wanted to give the girl a banana but when I clicked an item it just jumped away! Anyway well done on what you were able to get done for the competition. -RS

A cats life by mrcone 2016-12-17T00:24:00

Just brilliant, Fantastic concept and well executed. Really loved the art style and animation and the choice of sounds. Also great sense of humour. It ramps up really quick at one stage and it feels impossible to stop the noise and keep baby happy. Anyway nicely done! Cheers -RS

Voyage by TitoMakaniJr 2016-12-16T16:40:00

This was great! Reminded me of the ren and stimpy episode "space madness" :) also the character style is great and makes me think of Swords and Sworcery. Its such a great idea to have his attitude to the very same objects evolve over time as he changes. Overall true to the theme, intriguing and eventually shocking (in a good way). Thanks -RS

Room of Chaos and Creation by fivecyclops 2016-12-18T12:18:00

The way the room changes when you aren't looking is creepy it really added to the mood. Love the idea! Cheers -RS

Cloud Chaser by handoharken 2016-12-21T21:30:00

This has such a lovely mood and the world you created is really original. The music matched the experience in a really good way to make it relaxing. I have to admit I like the idea of the controls but in practice found it infuriating and would have preferred if it was easier to get around. The idea of going from inside the ship to outside kind of blows my mind a bit great innovation. -RS

The Chamber Crowd by Elemental Zeal Games Studios 2016-12-16T22:20:00

Great take on the theme. Nice way of gamifying the room moving and hitting targets. I like the choice of the thin line around the models to give it style and the kind of chaotic katamari feel to it. Its quite tricky but managed to get a perfect score after 3 goes so im happy :) Cheers -RS

Evil Udolfs Room by bigteddy 2016-12-19T22:17:00

I think you are really underselling it by saying its unfinished. Seriously you have the main game dynamic working (levers expanding the room which by the way I think is a great idea that I have not seen anyone else do yet), it looks fine (materials and enemies have color and textures), you have sound working, you worked in some humor with the voice, you can fire a gun and hit targets which I found quite satisying and the health counts down when get hit! To me that makes it complete enough! A lot of LD entries dont get that far its impressive you got this much done in such a short time honestly :) Cheers -RS

John in the room by oab 2016-12-19T22:47:00

Haha nice work. First time there was a bloody dead voxel man on the floor. I love this idea of keeping stuff away from this poor depressed man I think it was really innovative though very short.

Janusz: The handyman simulator by RootKiller 2016-12-13T20:12:00

Great idea for a game. This could be expanded to do an entire house one room at a time in stages. Anyway good work for the compo. Well done -RS

Nice art, and the last lines got to me.

Euclid by TriSquare 2016-12-18T11:21:00

I like this idea of being stuck in a room where if you turn the wrong way you end up in the same place instead of progressing. I thought the choice of colors, materials and sound for this were good. Cheers -RS

Spatially Efficient Party by mr. a 2016-12-17T19:50:00

haha the idea of this game is brilliant a simple but engaging puzzle game using logic. Found myself forgetting who was who which wasn't very efficient anyway nice one. Cheers -RS

Super Indie Dev Bro by Infin8 2016-12-18T12:30:00

That poor dev guy I feel for him haha! The work you put into the graphics clearly shows and the game has a sense of humor. Nice work -RS

Books! by Mark Ffrench 2016-12-13T21:37:00

It loaded up but I was stuck and couldn't move. Just wanted to say how cool the demo looked on youtube. Ever since I saw https://libraryofbabel.info/ on a vsauce video the concept of every possible phrase being searchable on that website is kinda cool and kinda spooky. You seem to have captured that and added some cool physics. Nice work. -RS

Tiny House by ChatPion 2016-12-16T22:35:00

I really liked this. I liked the graphics style and the puzzle element. Reminded me of boxxel or boulderdash style games but a really original take on it. Thank you. -RS

Time Passes by leo_p_mahon 2016-12-17T01:02:00

Really nicely done subtle story. I like what you did with the theme. The choice element is excellent and I think the way the story unwraps is compelling and well written. I think you brought a sensitivity to what it must be like to be in that situation too. Thank you -RS

Last Call by BulletsArePeopleToo 2016-12-16T22:12:00

I think this might be my favorite game so far! Excellent concept, great balance of dodging and aiming skill, stylized graphics, nice use of music and sound even if you didn't make it. Found it really fun and addictive and it was funny. Nice one! Cheers -RS

YEAH I touched the bird. Celebration times! haha.

Box Kingdom by Nordic Ninja 2016-12-19T22:41:00

Nice take on the one room theme! The art has a fairy tale feel but the enemies are dark and the noise of the bird, look of the prince, and the maggots are creepy. Nice work -RS

Prorotype Scrapyard by hiki911 2016-12-19T22:05:00

Took me way too long to release like 2 years. Never mind sold over 2 million copies :) Interesting take on the one room challenge great mood of tension and metaphore for game dev and release close to all ludum darers hearts :). Thanks -RS

Psychiatry by pixlark 2016-12-18T18:52:00

Really funny game, I spotted the jumper cables reference. Nice innovative gameplay. I enjoyed the music too. Only problem was that once you figured out what was the right answer for a given person you could just spam that answer.

It Came from the Dessert by Maniac 2016-12-21T20:19:00

Cool idea to lure the ants with food and gameify it. Managed to lure and kill a few of them in the fridge but who wants pizza when you can have cake haha! Anyway good work.

Room Escape by Tifu 2016-12-21T21:03:00

I'm really impressed by what you did here with the time provided! There is quite a lot of stuff to interact with and logic. It feels like a complete experience. The puzzles were challenging enough and interesting and you even had time to have an ending. very satisfying nice work! -RS

The Last Room by ncannasse 2016-12-21T21:39:00

Kept playing for the challenge and to see what happens next! Its really unforgiving and sometimes requires a bit of luck to be in the right place. I thought it was very clever and you created a creepy mood and hard as nails type skill game thats really unique. Well done! -RS

Bad Dreams by Sun-Wukong 2016-12-21T21:13:00

The art is really lovely in this and the spiders creepy. Makes you wonder whats going on as well as being a basic shooter. The sounds hurt my ears a bit and crackled on my computer. Nice work -RS

Room Jumper by RetroSpecter 2016-12-13T20:25:00

For me this wins for innovation and theme. Really great idea and nicely executed. It has a puzzle dynamic I have not seen before in a game. I like the fact the person outside taunts you as well to give you something humorous to read as you are playing. Just long enough to get into it and feel a sense of satisfaction from getting out. Nice job!

Rotate the room! by DOXM 2016-12-18T12:04:00

Great idea! Found the ball really hard to move right and it kept falling out of the front face of the room also not technically one room as it had levels :P. It looks amazing though I love the pixelatted 3D look and lighting. Nice one -RS

Escape from Man Cave by Treborginho 2016-12-13T21:15:00

I'm really impressed by this. Its a really great idea to implement for the compo and nicely done. It took me an embarrassingly large amount of time to realize a movie was playing so I was doing it by sound looking at the computer screen LOL. I'm glad its quite forgiving as I made a few mistakes too and I didn't want it to reset to 0. Anyway thanks and best of luck. -RS

The Living Room Battlescape by EthanBierlein 2016-12-13T20:52:00

Nice idea! Had classic flying shootemup feel to it. I like the facts that a lot was going on the hoards keep coming and its a bit frantic. Pixel graphics gave me a terminal velocity flashback. Found a bug: I died and kept racking up the kills though :P. Anyway nice work. Cheers -RS

LD42 — Running out of space

Out Of Personal Space by juaxix 2018-08-23T20:01:35Z

Nice concept, but I didn't get what I was supposed to be doing, even after reading your instructions - the feedback from the citizens didn't make sense to me.

Head Space by AfroAnt 2018-08-17T07:25:45Z

You sure did a lot of work for the Jam! Lots of really nice touches that give this a polished feel, like the animation when the mind gets full the little noise when the you view the credits and the animation when it adds up your score. I think a lot of people don't even finish their game let alone get a chance to add some style! Great concept and fun to play and decent length of each round to get a feel for the game without it getting boring. Music sounded good and fit the mood but could have been louder if you have good music you should showcase it! and sound effects could have been a bit quieter. Anyway really great job! -RS

Zecury by fingamer 2018-08-14T21:48:01Z

"Oh no that was such a good drill". LOL! I liked the concept of this game, some story some platforming good setting. The pacing was a bit slow for me and the jump puzzles a bit repetitive and felt like they were padding the game out to last a bit longer rather than adding something interesting but I'm seriously impressed with what you achieved for the Jam. Also the music really adds atmosphere. -RS

Daycare Dilemma by Random-storykeeper 2018-08-14T20:18:20Z

Nice one, feels very different from the more action-driven jam games I've been seeing, cute take on the theme with a nice mixture of time management and inventory management mechanics. Loved the aesthetics.

Datacell: a dungeon crawl by Peer 2018-08-14T19:45:32Z

Nice use of theme, I really like the fact that item bonuses are cumulative, made inventory management fun. There was enough information to tell a story of what was going on, even with the simple graphics. I would have liked more feedback on how strong enemies were, or seeing what item I was standing on before deciding whether to ditch something for it. I encountered a bug at the last boss where my health increased when I attacked it

Test Subject 42 by nihilaleph 2018-09-01T11:53:30Z

Great concept, well-executed. Nice graphics, good mood, good fit for theme. The use of physics worked well with the gameplay. Just encountered a couple of what might have been bugs (on Windows version) - sometimes the lines of text on the computer stopped before being completed and moved straight onto the next line. Also, sometimes the electrocution came right after an instruction finished, so there wasn't enough time. Might have been because it was running slowly on my computer. Otherwise, again, great concept and mood.

Cube Disposer by sh1rogane 2018-08-14T20:00:35Z

I really enjoyed playing this one, the enemy death mechanic was a nice use of theme, and I liked how you could dispose of corpses. In spite of the use of primitive shapes there was some really nice animation, such as the way burrowing enemies emerge from the ground, and the way the corpses get disposed of. There was good enemy variety, and the reload mechanic was effective for making me manage my ammo. It felt a bit odd that enemies could move through corpses, but I appreciate that the game wouldn't work otherwise. Good job! - Daniel

SHIP-A-TRON by Daniel Conway 2018-08-19T18:48:06Z

Neat little game, fits the theme well and is intuitive to play. nice bit of polish having a sphere indicate which box you're targeting. Level design could have done with some more variety to make the challenge more interesting.

Roops by Lipsch 2018-08-15T07:59:22Z

This was fun to play and strangely satisfying! Clever take on the theme and keeps you engaged by always having something to do. I especially liked how the sound effects had a similar key and style to the music so it sounded nice and smooth. A bit of a bug: after you lose you can still place cars and buy spots until the cars stop coming. Anyway well done. -RS

Arctic Escape by UnitedFailures 2018-08-17T07:42:07Z

Nice retro feeling game that fits the theme perfectly. I like the choice of winter and melting ice I didn't get any sound but a good choice of free music would definitely add to the mood of this. I found the puzzles difficult to work out and was guessing a lot. Pleasant little game well done! -RS

Cubed In by Wabble 2018-08-21T19:40:19Z

Great little game! Nicely put together puzzles. I was impressed with how many puzzle elements you added in the time given such as the bombs and the lasers and the level design seemed to be for fun rather than difficulty which i think for the compo is the right balance. -RS

Detonation Dice by George Lancaster 2018-08-14T22:26:07Z

Hello! I think it might help you get ratings if you tell windows users they need to get the zip file from the git page or just link directly to it! The link says html5 but also has windows binaries. Anyway I really like this. Reminded me of some old match-3 puzzle games like columns or dr mario but 3D instead of 2d. Your choice of music was really good and added to the suspense and mood (But tbh I dont think you should ask for a rating if you didn't compose and record it yourself). Good idea for the theme and cleverly done for some quick fun. Nice job! -RS

Zombie Wackers by CG_Fred 2018-08-23T19:54:23Z

Running out of 'space', haha! this game has loads of nice little touches in it, from bullets sending you backwards to the use of physics with spent ammo and corpses. I also like the tutorial and how you dealt with the main menu. I found the permadeth quite frustrating, especially since the death screen was so long.

Dice Blackout by GreenAndSubmarine 2018-08-23T19:45:22Z

I beat the game! :D This worked well, it's a simple concept but not quite like anything I've played before. It feels like a good 'brain training' kind of game. Could be developed further by adding more mechanics / variety

I'm B'walkin' Here! by Ziamor 2018-08-19T18:52:51Z

I am the egg master! Love the graphics and the overall mood. The concept was quite innovative. I found myself wanting to know more about this person in a chicken suit and where they were headed. I would have liked more levels with some more variety.

Grave Business by Artem Avramenko 2018-08-14T20:13:07Z

I like the ragdoll effect when you move the bodies :) nice take on theme, good mood. It was quite unclear to me what I was meant to do however, even with the instructions.

Crushed by comenoha 2018-08-15T07:46:54Z

Nice take on the theme. Like others found the wall jumping frustrating but found the puzzles cleverly put together and you creatively use the theme to make the puzzles work. Nice one. -RS

Judged! by LarrySeinfeld 2018-08-27T11:22:52Z

Very, very nice! I like the writing and humour, ties in nicely with the mechanics and theme, really feels like it's putting you in a position of making moral decisions. I made it to day 25, I think I'd been under-sentencing people, only 2 of my 11 cells were full at the time!

The game really is very good and well-rounded. It has something of a 'papers please' vibe to it. I feel like it could be made into a full game if you added more progression and mechanics to it.

Orbiteer by BitPhinix 2018-08-14T22:13:41Z

I think this is a seriously clever concept and it was fun and challenging to play but not too hard. Really great job I am really impressed. My favourite game this jam so far. Thank you very much. I hope you do well! -RS

float and stuff by wildcard 2018-08-19T18:56:23Z

I was enjoying that, would have liked more levels :) As for the levels you did have, I think you onboarded the player with the mechanics in a way which made them implicit, good job. I think it's a solid foundation for a puzzle game and a good proof of concept, definitely think the core mechanics would sustain a larger game if you build on them with more board objects. Good use of theme too.

The Curse by jiukka 2018-08-27T10:49:15Z

i found both the relics! at least i assume there were only two of them, there was no victory screen. the mechanic of running out of time and needing to return to the center added some tension. the puzzle design could be improved, at the moment you just click on background items and it's not clear how they relate to the puzzle. the art was nice.

Pool Watch by Plukers 2018-08-14T21:27:58Z

Enjoyed playing this for a while whole theme is very funny and an inventive take on the running out of space idea. -RS

Space Ninja by BlueBlu 2018-08-12T20:34:31Z

Nice use of theme, fun mechanic of opening up the level by blasting walls with bombs. I also found it too dark, and it could have had more feedback - e.g. knowing whether an enemy could see me or not, or knowing how much invisibility I had left.

Ramboom by Holy 2018-08-14T19:37:51Z

I had fun with this one, played a few times until I figured out a strategy to beat it. I really like how the enemies exploding removed tiles as well as the map shrinking, was a neat innovation. Art and audio were cute. I'd suggest adding clearer feedback on taking damage / dying, also some kind of scoring system might be nice.

Pathcloser by Suchista 2018-08-19T19:30:34Z

A solid idea and well-executed. I liked the humour too. The levels were challenging and had a good variety of puzzle in each one.

Calorie Killers by big-cow 2018-08-19T19:04:03Z

@max6333 @kywu @ben-penwell @aflatthrasher @random-storykeeper yes sorry it is very hard and you inevitably get overwhelmed with burgers pretty quickly - tbh I didn't feel the gameplay had a lot of longevity to it so I wanted the player to die before it got old (also to force them to 'run out of space'), but you're right it does make it feel unfairly hard. I think I'd probably deal with this by having the difficulty start of easier and then get harder, or have enemies come in increasingly difficult waves.

@leeloo @random-storykeeper once you get to a certain size your bullets end up hitting enemies instantly a lot of the time, meaning that the instance is destroyed before it's even visible, and there's no visual feedback that you've fired a bullet at all. If I spent more time on it I'd make visible feedback for when you hit an enemy (like a little splat).

Thanks everyone for playing and leaving feedback! :)

Oh and @pinoza it's just one sound that Rob recorded, the pitch is varied through code :)

@awix Thanks for your feedback, Rob (the audio designer) would like more specific feedback on how you would suggest improving the music?

Data Strain by Nikyaer 2018-08-27T11:08:18Z

Very nice! I love the graphics. The physics-based gameplay is very satisfying, I enjoyed hitting huge rows of blocks out of the way. The gameplay does get repetitive, I think it could be built on by adding some more obstacles or varying the level design.

Plastic Patch Cleanup by Lars-Erik 2018-08-19T19:13:22Z

nice use of theme, i like that it had an environmental message as well :) collecting rubbish was quite meditative and relaxing. i also liked how the trash was so varied in shape and colour. I think it might be an improvement if the upgrades scaled exponentially rather than in a linear way, would make the progression more addictive i think.

Alchemize by stavu 2018-08-14T20:26:21Z

This is a really smart one, good innovation on the puzzle mechanics. The board and score can change quite drastically once the board starts to fill up which adds to a sense of tension. I think there's room to expand on the mechanics to give it a bit more depth.

LD44 — Your life is currency

Order Eaty Eat 88 by mennchen22 2019-04-29T19:08:26Z

Classic action platformer like megaman with chase element! Style makes me feel nostalgic. Backstory was an interesting idea died as soon as I caught up with the guy with the gun so a bit hard for me. Well done on your entry. -RS

Unpredictable dungeon by Pete 2019-05-18T17:12:52Z

Like other commenters I don't see how the game fits the theme. The basic mechanics were fun, I liked the choice of weapons. I found that the difficulty ramped up to 100 very quickly after a couple of rooms.

Rude Bear Reassembled by alexrose 2019-05-14T21:27:47Z

Wow loved all the characters and really inventive take on the theme. Great artwork and humorous text. Mood was super grim like a dark comedy horror movie. Wasn't obvious how to fire the gun so i died pretty quickly. There was so much blood. Anyway nice work! -RS

Computers in a Nutshell by gonutz 2019-05-14T21:12:29Z

No i did not enjoy this. It reminded me too much of my job and it took up way too much of my ld game playing time and filled my pc with files, i did not find it fun. Its inventive and clever though kind of like the python challenge! -RS

Human, your life is currency by asfdfdfd 2019-05-18T17:21:01Z

Found it very difficult, issues with NPC seeing the player when off-screen. Concept was cool, needs work on the controls and feedback.

Jailocorp by jaywoody 2019-05-18T13:23:17Z

Really enjoyed this one, nice to see a point and click adventure. Like others I found the original version too hard (managed the chess puzzle and one of the button puzzles), but managed fine with the updated version. I commend this project for the level of atmosphere.

Olaf's Adventure by GameWolves 2019-05-18T17:30:49Z

Finished it! I found that getting the speed boost and speedrunning through the levels double jumping over enemies was optimal strategy. Game fit the theme very well, controls and weapons felt right and there were nice touches of polish like seeing arrows stuck in enemy boss. Could have done with more enemy variety. Feedback regarding the parallax scrolling; the background sprite was moving faster than the foreground sprite, should be the other way round, this way looked off and was disorientating.

Whipout by Armadillq 2019-05-18T17:36:05Z

Simple but fun. Nice level and obstacle design, cute animations. I did find it frustrating (would have liked more checkpoints - I know it's meant to be hard but it feels like a troll level when a previously invisible obstacle kills you).

The dangerous life of an indie dev by ougrouk 2019-05-01T20:08:39Z

I really enjoyed this. When I got kicked out the first time I played it again to win the second time so it kept me hooked! Loved the retro style graphics and the procedural element. I found the options funny and interesting and you didn't make it too hard or too long to play through. Really cleverly done. Nice entry! -RS

Sweat Shop by dimlight 2019-05-01T19:53:49Z

This was like an old Amiga puzzler. Graphics were spot on music fitted well. It is really inventive use of life to have different powers probably most creative interpretation of theme I have seen. -RS

Choice Master by big-cow 2019-04-30T17:06:44Z

thanks for the feedback everyone! @velvetlobster whoops that's a bug, good spot, gonna fix that

power+light by Johan Alexandersson 2019-04-29T19:14:34Z

I really appreciated your interpretation of the theme and love the balance you give to giving up life vs being able to see. Cheers -RS

A Cup's Life by Anderssonkev 2019-04-29T19:52:46Z

Yeah this was pretty much the perfect ld entry for me and would have passed for a perfectly well polished NES game I reckon back in the day. Its just a lot of small things that add up to a really nice piece of work. Perfect length for LD entry, challenging (some screen needed a couple of attempts) but not too hard, brilliant and unique cute retro style in audio and visuals (also wtf cup/teabag face -genius), controls simple, really nice music with variants for menu, game play and end, you even had time to create an end sequence that was really satisfying. There is real skill and passion shining through here from the sound and graphics guys and the puzzle dynamics and controls are well executed too. I am really happy for this entry. You guys are gonna go far. Thank you -RS

Currency Chaos by Aaron96 2019-04-29T19:33:05Z

This is a pretty clever take on the classic shoot from the centre style games. Loved the style of the graph lines and the balance of bullet cost, investment amount and currently invested currency. Only issue I had was there was too much going on to concentrate on it starts too hard to reasonably select a decent currency to invest! Anyway nice work! -RS

Time Demand by TwobyThree 2019-04-29T21:25:28Z

Fun aesthetics, made me smile, I didn't mind the shortness because it meant I could replay it a bunch of times to check out different paths. The fact that I was interested enough to do that says something about the fun style and humour.

Stilts by MuchosWaffles 2019-04-29T18:54:54Z

Aww I'm sorry you had a hard time with the theme. Still nice work on the start sequence. Was actually quite funny. Cheers -RS

LIFEPOWERED by hawec 2019-04-29T21:10:32Z

Wow, very nicely done, very polished and atmospheric! Has a 'hollow knight' feel to it. Good onboarding / tutorialisation.

Glory of the Gods by vladirien 2019-04-29T21:01:44Z

I really like the aesthetics, nice touch with the crowd feedback, had me caring about my fame level. The gameplay was simple but worked well. Main room for improvement I think would be clearer feedback on when you're able to dash again.

Exploma by Exploma 2019-04-29T21:20:24Z

The game froze after I did part three of the tutorial (dropping the bombs) :/

Mr. Mewsifer's Malevolent Market by Faelim 2019-05-01T19:43:10Z

I like the style and the playfulness and lightheartedness, controls are pretty intuitive. I think I was meant to grab something that the thought bubbles were hinting at? Honestly I couldn't work out how the pictures related to the items but managed to please customers with the colour splotch when it came up as a last resort and got to an end screen with the cats which was cute. Anyway well done for creating a complete game for the compo! -RS

LD53 — Delivery

Parcel Pursuit by bloodyaugust 2023-05-04T17:36:05Z

Gorgeous graphics and music, really clever 'start' menu. I also had a little trouble with the jumping.

Loading Zone by drazil100 2023-05-03T11:23:43Z

I like how this game got me thinking logically and planning ahead. I did paint myself into a corner by filling up my stations - might be nice to have the ability to destroy boxes, like maybe a garbage compactor or something.

Delivery Shift by saikai 2023-05-04T16:59:12Z

I love the graphics, and the innovation of the gameplay. The puzzles had good depth without being overly complicated or having too many options at once. Like @uppitydonkey57 , I did find it hard to visualise how the tile would shift

Freight of BOOOM! by Merrow 2023-05-02T15:57:48Z

I love how the cute little robot legs move! The dual-control mechanics are used nicely, I like how the non-package robot fires missiles at enemies, and how you can throw the package to the wrong place if you move the robot that's receiving it. Nice aesthetics and music.

26 Minutes or Less by big-cow 2023-05-05T16:26:28Z

Thanks for the helpful feedback everyone! Some good notes that I'll definitely bear in mind if I do end up making a larger text adventure game.

@indigoninja Dicey Dungeons was definitely an inspiration, good catch! I'd like to add more variety and depth to the combat in a future version.

@bartekde unfortunately you needed to click 301 times for the easter egg so you missed it :( (jk)

Storky McStorkface Express by Flying Dog Fish 2023-05-02T23:47:53Z

The audio brought me joy. This game initially reminded me a lot of that classic 'helicopter' game, but it quickly added new mechanics with the left and right movement, and the picking up of the animals, which I thought were very fun additions.

Waiting for delivery by JiexDrop 2023-05-04T16:42:34Z

I got the 'good ending!' This is a really innovative take on the theme, looking at the customer perspective of delivery and different stages from packing to driving. I liked the music too. I did find the first challenge quite frustrating because you could get the card into the right rotation but then hit something at the top when you bring it up to place it in the machine which rotates it incorrectly, maybe the moving leaf things could come from the opposite direction to prevent this? Also would be nice to have a checkpoint at the start of each stage so you don't have to replay earlier levels if you fail.

UPDEX by wheelsx 2023-05-02T16:33:27Z

I had a much better time playing on gamepad than with mouse and keyboard. I love the 'lore' of this one, it's hilarious that the humans who have been put out of work are trying to destroy me and I'm just merrily shooting them as I go and deliver packages!

WORD DROP by MKRaw 2023-05-03T11:14:34Z

Simple but effective gameplay that doesn't outstay its welcome. It was a good level of challenge - maybe could be expanded on by starting with fewer words and having more words with each level. The way that the start screen worked was a really nice touch that made me smile!

The Holy Scanner by Teun de Vries 2023-05-04T17:58:43Z

I really loved the writing, art style and audio. the guy's physics-based animations as his legs dragged along are hilarious. I agree with @ciderpunk about the post-cutscene bat onslaught feeling unfair.

Deliver the Cube by peterfiftyfour 2023-05-02T15:51:43Z

Took me a while to figure things out by reading the comments, but it was worth it! I haven't played many 'factory' type games but I like how it's implemented here. Working around the surface of a 3D object felt very novel.

DO NOT OPEN THE LETTER by MarcoDeevil 2023-05-04T18:52:37Z

I delivered the letter intact the first time, then played it again to open the letter before delivering it. I liked the creepy atmosphere and the characters. The rock paper scissors was a nice touch, as was the interaction between players leaving notes.

Our First Story by Donamougou 2023-05-02T23:42:33Z

My wife's 16 weeks pregnant and we found out the gender today, so this resonated with me. I really like the art style and the way you've told the story of a baby's development.

Pizza Delivery by Codexzier 2023-05-04T18:04:24Z

I found that I ended up just going in a circular loop between the restaurants then returning to the restaurant and repeating, rather than paying attention to which ones I needed to order to. Having clearer pizza icons and maybe different distances to the houses might have forced me to be more strategic. The audio did add to the tension!

INTACT™ by pierogo 2023-05-04T18:09:03Z

Really cute art and animation, and nice music. the concept behind the core mechanics was pretty innovative, though i did find grabbing a package before it hit the ground was impossible.

Meowxtape: Delivery by crow_seeds 2023-05-04T18:37:19Z

The aesthetics all come together really nicely - the rap, the SFX, the cool cat driving and reactions. The gameplay was really fun too, I liked being able to sideswipe cars.

Delinquent Delivery by SJPixels 2023-05-04T17:09:47Z

Best graphics of the games I've played so far. The gameplay was simple but still had depth, which the different enemy types requiring different tactics.

Entomoria by Frib 2023-05-04T17:05:46Z

It was super satisfying growing my army and enjoying the VFX and SFX as they chomped through enemies. This was a unique take, and I liked the dark humour.

Feathered Dispatch by Cody Holt 2023-05-02T16:41:50Z

Innovative system, with really cool art and very fitting music. I like how the map gets more populated as you progress.

FedUp by RogueBrain 2023-05-04T18:43:00Z

Really funny, loved the art and lines of dialogue. The gameplay is innovative and pretty fun. I like how you had to shake things to hear the sound.

They Took Our Jobs! by Bit Flipz 2023-05-02T23:33:00Z

I love the dystopian, near-future very plausible reality presented in a humorous way. It was surprisingly cathartic playing as a robot worker. i like the pixel art and audio too.

Groove 'n' Goods by ekaktusz 2023-05-04T18:22:49Z

I really enjoyed roleplaying as a drug dealer, and the gameplay mechanic of having to manage my resources between selling the drugs, and using them myself - my coke habit got me into a bit of trouble! Nice graphics and audio too. Really humorous.

Fragile: Handle With Care by jakubtomsu 2023-05-04T16:33:31Z

Nice controls, throwing the box felt satisfying, I like the art and audio. The enemies were easy to the point where I could just ignore them, maybe there could be more of the,.

Hedgie's Letter Hunt by Blueanoli 2023-05-04T18:14:31Z

I beat the game! I am awesome!

Really cute pixel graphics, controls and platforming felt pretty satisfying, I like how forgiving the game was in terms of lives and checkpoints. The raven checkpoints might have been my favourite thing, a really nice touch!

QuadTrain by Alfredo Cossetin Neto 2023-05-02T23:37:47Z

The gameplay was tricky to get the hang of (I can't say I ever really did get the hang of it) but that made it all the more satisfying when I managed to do something that I intended, like getting a good boost from hooking a target far away.

Packing Up by RRADU 2023-05-04T17:28:30Z

I really like the grahpics and audio, and the minimal interface with clear controls. The core gameplay loop was fun. It would have been nice to have an idea of the 'average' value of an item so I could see if I was getting a good deal or not.

Sunset Delivery by nobiy 2023-05-04T17:53:16Z

I was about 8 seconds late for the delivery :( this game was fun, and got even more fun once the jump mechanic was introduced. The graphics were really nice.

Delivery! NYC by Obe Dot 2023-05-02T15:31:53Z

Those flying trains made me laugh! I like the premise of the game, and it's a good proof of concept. To extend the idea, I think the grapple mechanics could use some iteration, and maybe some kind of warning system for when a flying train is approaching from off camera!

Angel Envelope by leking 2023-05-04T17:44:03Z

The opening sequence gave it a nice narrative context which made me care about delivering the envelope. I liked the level design, how you could see a ledge that was too high to reach, then circle back to it after obtaining the extra jump height.

Bubble Wrap Factory by Jampla Games 2023-05-03T11:18:22Z

The SFX were so satisfying! The gameplay was pretty innovative, it's not usual to have so much focus on upwards movement. I did like most of the level design but I did find that level 3 made me want to be able to see further up.

The last help by Linkway 2023-05-03T00:03:51Z

Oh boy, that took a turn. I liked the 'Thomas was Alone' aesthetic of giving personality and emotions to blocks. the 'delivering happiness' was a really interesting take on the theme. Pacing could have been a bit tighter, but overall I really liked the mood.

DroneDash by Jason Kuo 2023-05-02T15:38:12Z

I like the 'helicoptery' feel of the drone. I also like how the upgrade screen uses the same gameplay as the main game, and I enjoyed the music. I do think levels could be shorter, for a faster and more compelling upgrade loop.

A journey about... The Delivery by matid90 2023-05-02T16:22:34Z

I really like the art and music. The box placement and recall mechanic is intuitive and works well for platforming and puzzling. I also enjoyed the spike bridge in level 1! and the introduction of more mechanics was well done in level 2.

Fetch Quest. A small text adventure by Patrick Abernathy 2023-05-04T17:19:31Z

Yay, a text adventure! This was short and sweet, I enjoyed discovering the hidden room through the waterfall, and the hilariously escalating trades to the point where I was carrying a ship. I did find that I expected to be able to do things in the very first room that I couldn't - e.g. there was a bed in the room and I tried 'examine bed' but got the response 'I see no such thing.'

Wicked Postage by KhaoKG 2023-05-04T16:53:39Z

I won! This felt very immersive and atmospheric. It got quite tense as the game sped up, had to manage my time. Had a slight 'papers please' feel which I liked.
