Great Game!

Interesting game! Combination of top-down shooter and investing worked oddly well.

Maybe my one gripe is that the player character was rather large and oddly shaped, which made it difficult to avoid the enemies. That being said, that was probably deliberate, and definitely added to the chaos.

Audio and graphics were simple but effective. Nice entry for compo!

The game is fun, loved the music and the graphics , well done !! would be interested to see how you continue on it later on ^_^

Fun concept and art style! Very fitting to the theme

Cool idea, had fun playing it.. didn't quite understand if a currency that is colored in green is good for me or not..

tasakasama 2019-04-29 15:43

even if there is the audible indication it is not easy to read the values upwards and change the currency at the same time to play ... but everything works, the theme is here, nice game

aaron96 2019-04-29 15:53

@tasakasama The idea was that it would add to the chaos because you had to do 2 things at the same time, but maybe I should have added a visual indication as well

aaron96 2019-04-29 15:56

@generalanimal The number (and the color) show how the value of a currency is changing, if the value goes up that means you can afford more shots. A green currency means the value is going up so that would be good for you :)

generalanimal 2019-04-29 16:11

@aaron96 well it was counter intuative for me.. if you think about it, the more the coin is worth the LESS you can afford but ok hehe

nova31 2019-04-29 18:32

I love this game but why you, as a player, should move if the terrain is so small and so spawns so frequent

aaron96 2019-04-29 18:32

@generalanimal The idea is that you are holding the currency, so if the currency is worth more you can buy more, right? I guess this should have been more clear in the explanation :)

I really liked the sound effects, they were very satisfying! I enjoyed playing, my highest score was 10000, but I did think the map was a little small, I did the best by just not moving and staying in the center most of the time.

aaron96 2019-04-29 19:25

@nova31 @corgiram You guys are right about staying in the center all the time . Maybe I should increase the map size and/or add some enemies that you can't shoot and have to dodge...

big-cow 2019-04-29 19:33

This is a pretty clever take on the classic shoot from the centre style games. Loved the style of the graph lines and the balance of bullet cost, investment amount and currently invested currency. Only issue I had was there was too much going on to concentrate on it starts too hard to reasonably select a decent currency to invest! Anyway nice work! -RS

talk about a hard game its dificult tu multytask that but realy nice on

vanleiden 2019-04-29 20:06

Haha, this is great! Love the idea of having to "pay" for your bullets. A bit hard maybe!

fibonacci1321 2019-04-29 22:44

Neat idea! Works well! Keep up the good work!

sciman101 2019-04-29 23:53

Really fun! I appreciate all the attention to detail, like the different player sprites and currency names. My one suggestion would be to map changing currency type to the mouse wheel, and to have it loop around when you hit one end or the other. Otherwise, great game!

monkeydvrus 2019-04-30 10:58

Great game, the atmosphere is nice!

blaze 2019-05-18 20:41

That was a really innovative game. I loved the change in currency note when you changed currencies. I would've liked the map/play area to be a little bigger cuz it got pretty annoying when an enemy would just spawn on the edge you're right next to and there's nowhere you can go. Great job!
