Staying on the outskirt of the map while placing the beacon at the center seem the best way to go in the long run. Maybe give a reason to not do that by giving pickup or something interesting? I like the concept. Good job!

I really enjoyed this game. I love how the music come progressively when you are close to winning an instrument.
The story was nice and simple. I guess you did not use too much light for the scenes because you wanted to simulate a dead world which I think is a good idea because it set the tone for the story.

I will work on it on my free time to polish it, and put it on Game Jolt after the judging end.
I also feel that I could have make this game a bit more complete but hey it's playable, it got a Start&End
and it's a prototype and that's what Ludum Dare is all about!
