LD31 — Entire Game on One Screen

Entire Game on One Screen Original Title 1 by Derbdale 2014-12-08T18:21:00

I love that if you try to move out of the screen the window moves :D
Anyway, I think you should make this game harder

Bomb Disposal Unit by skyboy49707 2014-12-08T17:10:00

Not a really good game. I found myself just jumping and smashing my spacebar

Ducks! by Linus Lindberg 2014-12-08T18:01:00

I love the graphics! And gameplay: it is simple, but fun!

Galaxia by greysphere 2014-12-14T21:40:00

I was playing this way too long.... Oh wait, I'm still playing it :D
Anyway, really awesome idea and game!

Neural Connectivity by Crefossus 2014-12-11T14:47:00

I think that it is too unfinished also, but I have 1 question: were you planning to add some kind of minigame at the end?

Neural Connectivity by Crefossus 2014-12-11T14:48:00

Do you see my old comment? If yes, don't mind it, because I got really confused by rating a few games at once, lol

A Chainsaw Across my Heart by MonoS 2014-12-09T19:37:00

Very nice story, but I don't really get it, can I do something else when I'm in her twitter/facebook?

Neverending Snow by LittleThor 2014-12-08T13:23:00

Nice game with a really great mood! But it is hard to understand. Well, I've got stuck after clicking all of those fires in the right order. Btw, add in your game description for users to use control+mouse wheel, because it really sucks going up and down when I have to click outside the game for my mouse wheel to work.
Anyway, pretty nice game!

Neverending Snow by LittleThor 2014-12-09T19:51:00

I finally got the ending! Really nice game, but I couldn't figure out that I needed to go to the top for the ending :D
Very nice style btw!

Meaty Tears by Zwergesel 2014-12-10T20:45:00

Nice game, but it's wayyy too hard for me, I tried my best, but I couldn't finish it :c

Mobius Dungeon by nesis 2014-12-08T13:11:00

The puzzles are really interesting. Only 2 bad things in tis game: this does not really fit in thee theme(in my opinion), and music/sounds, I think that you should have those

Gratification Crisis by zorfmorf 2014-12-08T14:33:00

Very nice game, this one is one of my favorites :)

oYo by TagliatL 2014-12-08T13:49:00

If this game would have music/sounds, it would be pretty much perfect! Good job!

2D Physics Playscape by Brian Mayberry 2014-12-08T12:55:00

It's sometimes very hard to change the blocks in the bottom if I need when building something. Maybe you could have added something like floating heavy cubos or something, just to make it a bit easier

Shiftavoid by rob1221 2014-12-09T16:12:00

I loved the animations! If you are going to update this game, I would suggest adding much more levels and making the particles a bit nicer.

Bomber by xaedes 2014-12-12T15:19:00

am I the only one who thought that in this game it's really easy not to die?

Snowman's Tropical Adventures by chadheim 2014-12-08T18:43:00

For me the gameplay is a bit boring, but I'm not sure about others!
Anyway, graphics are really good-looking

Not Your Average Dungeon by SanderB 2014-12-11T14:53:00

In my opinion you did one thing in a really bad: theme. Im pretty sure screen could have been not moving at all, so that would be something

Out of bounds! by lion123 2014-12-08T19:01:00

The idea is very good, but I think that player shouldn't slide that much, because a lot of times I died because I tried to move to another place and slipped

Snowman Runner by Pantelis Petsopoulos 2014-12-08T16:27:00

Wow, awesome game, one of my favorites!

One Screen by shyupuff 2014-12-11T14:59:00

Very dark theme, I love it!

Runny Square by NeithR 2014-12-09T19:25:00

Quite nice, but waayy, too hard for me :(. Good job on clean-looking game!

Coinarium by Dohxis 2014-12-08T14:36:00

Nice game! But is it really hard only for me?

IBermuda by Indiestry 2014-12-08T18:52:00

I think that wrecked ships should be removed after some time(or faster if they are removed, lol)

Survive by Atemu 2014-12-10T18:54:00

Well, your game is a bit broken, isn't it? At least fix your web link

Vicious Trap by Cuniculator 2014-12-08T16:21:00

Fun, but VERY hard (I think my high score is 7)

MRBOX by karlipoppins 2014-12-09T15:28:00

Really good idea with the credits thing :P
But I think this might be just too hard. I finished game just by exploiting a bug :P

Windows Cleaner Simulator by Instant Noodles 2014-12-14T19:26:00

Nice game! But I thought it was not working on the Web, as it was loading really long(and with only black screen)

Mascarpone by Domicuc 2014-12-12T18:53:00

Pretty nice game! I have found bug though: if you press next wave the turrets won't attack the next wave's enemies, they will only finish the lst wave's enemies and will stop

Houston, We've Got a Problem by MrBadIvan 2014-12-13T21:09:00

Very nice game! I've reached 713 days and 11395 scientific data on my 3rd time(so I'm pretty sure I get 2nd place, don't I? :D). Anyway, you should really add more events and fix the scrolling bug. I can't really think what you should do more for now(or as you said, add some more planets, winning conditions, being able to interaction, etc).
By the way, why wouldn't you make port for Linux? Remember that you are using Unity...

Hot place by edve98 2014-12-08T14:04:00

Well, I am pretty happy about this game, as this is my 1st try.
But I guess that any game could be improved at least a bit. Just like @Jqmfg says, it needs FX's, a bit better player controller, and a bit better UI/explanation (mentioned also by @LittleThor).
Anyway, I think I will update this game a bit after the voting period ends, to make it a bit better.

Thank you all for the feedback!

Hot place by edve98 2014-12-08T17:56:00

Well, from all of your feedback, it looks like that I will have to change the color pallet a bit when updating this game :D

Hot place by edve98 2014-12-08T19:26:00

@Cake_Catastrophe well, it was 1st time when I was making music myself, so don't judge too much :D. Anyway, I think that main menu and game over screen's songs are quite good :P

Hot place by edve98 2014-12-08T20:43:00

@karlipoppins thanks mate! I know, art and sounds aren't really the best, but I didn't had much time left for them, so I guess it's ok-ish for 1st try... I guess..

Hot place by edve98 2014-12-09T17:28:00

@TeamFlashlight Thanks for great feedback! I will try to develop this game a bit after a month or so, I will try to ipmrove it using your(and everybodies else ofc :D)feedback

Hot place by edve98 2014-12-11T18:24:00

@Brian Mayberry I know, I should have put in in-game instructions -_-. slow motion just lets you react faster, because you might have noticed that sometimes you move very fast

AntiPlane by Grenac 2014-12-09T15:12:00

Great concept. All you could add is some nice background music.
Btw, how is this linked to the theme "Entire game on one screen"?

AntiPlane by Grenac 2014-12-09T15:14:00

Oh, one more thing, will you continue to develop this game after LD?

FindMe by minggo 2014-12-12T14:46:00

Why is there .apk file on every link?

Radius Man by mrcarmody 2014-12-12T14:51:00

Quite nice, but next time add some kind of sounds(use http://www.bfxr.net/ for best results)

Coloured Ink by BaneStar007 2014-12-12T14:54:00

I don't really get it how I should play this. And it looked quite laggy for me.

Dabug by Devark 2014-12-08T17:30:00

Very nice game, Only thing that might be missing is some background music. Nut still, one of my favorites!

Blacklaby by fauche_j 2014-12-11T14:42:00

You should compress your game files to archive, so its easier to download and play it

Council of Smiles by MatthewHolland 2014-12-12T17:43:00

Very interesting game!

Flashlight by Team Flashlight 2014-12-10T20:50:00

Great mood, great audio (but I guess it's not yours), great hit combo mechanic, and of course, great game :P

Dragon Wars by Poongothai 2014-12-12T17:11:00

Why would you post only source?

Thieves' Honor by Mach60KAS 2014-12-13T18:42:00

It was quite crazy, because I played on stream :P

LD32 — An Unconventional Weapon

Shoot'N'Loot by xk 2015-05-11T12:07:00

In-game UI felt a bit out of place

The morning type by Liam :D 2015-04-21T18:24:00

It's nice and all, but what about theme?? Where are the weapons? :D
Anyway, adding space bar between words would really help

What Do They Want? by DesignerNap 2015-04-20T15:56:00

Very nice! Just... A bit hard to understand what is going on... :/

Robo Limb by ThreeUp 2015-04-21T13:19:00

I can't aim st all in this game, it is very hard to hit something. I have experienced a few problems (falling out of map, not regenerating limbs)

100 Dollars Unicorns by td2tl 2015-04-22T17:08:00

A bit hard for me. By the way, where's the unconventional weapon??

Night Harvest by gene-z 2015-04-21T13:10:00

One complaint: the Web link leads to a website which is not English and has no game? (Or I couldn't find it, as it wasn't in English)

The Fish Sniper by PushmePullyu 2015-04-20T18:11:00

Man, this is REALLY hard at first! I was not able to finish :9

The Fish Sniper by PushmePullyu 2015-04-20T18:11:00

Man, this is REALLY hard at first! I was not able to finish :(

DNA Project - last chance for humanity by kikaz 2015-05-11T12:13:00

Quite had to figure out what to do

HALLAWAY by benmcnelly 2015-04-21T12:52:00

I totally agree with Finn, it is really punishing to restart everything if you fail, and just print back to where you left off. Again, I was expecting to see a "detect liar thing". Sometimes the occasional load sound was too loud

Zombie Apocalypse by tGiant 2015-04-22T15:12:00

Hmm, I don't know about others, but level 3 seems to be a bit broken, as I don't have space to throw that bow. Or is it intentional?

Potat0wned by MaddeMichael 2015-04-20T12:37:00

Gameplay isn't that good on train level(or maybe I just don't know how to play properly), but audio is just the best! :D
Art isn't too bad also. Quite nice game

Guardian Shield by longshorts 2015-04-20T15:19:00

Nice game. One thing could be better: I would like to controll my spaship with wasd keys too

Mecha Cop 2875 by Tuism 2015-04-21T13:59:00

You used Unity, why didn't you port to Linux??

Material Exchange by ianb96 2015-04-23T16:17:00

Please make a port for Linux, because I can't play it

Elements by efux 2015-04-21T13:46:00

I don't really like that you used four elements instead of unconventional weapon as your theme, and controls felt a bit odd

Chessboard Death Race by killthealias 2015-05-11T18:26:00

Too bad there is noone to play with :c

The Cutters by sharp911 2015-05-11T18:22:00

when the game loads it just freezes up :(

Sound Runner by Makay 2015-04-22T15:52:00

Same problem as everyone else: can't get it to run

Lagman by reiknight 2015-04-22T16:10:00

This concept is soooo good. I got to 3rd level, which I couldn't finish no matter how hard I tried. Maybe the game could be a bit easier?

Bomb parts by wilpel1234 2015-04-23T17:04:00

yo, where is your source code?

Escape by Treeaza 2015-04-23T17:19:00

I can't see the whole screen in the web version :/

Temple of Light by matthewd673 2015-04-22T16:12:00

You are using Unity. Why couldn't you port the game to Linux? (and Mac probably, lol)

Maggie by Bergara 2015-04-22T16:17:00

You are using unity. Why wouldn't you port it to Linux? (And Mac probs, lol)

PALBOT by Hot Box Games 2015-04-22T19:49:00

I can't believe how good this is! It truly feels just like a full game. One thing that I didn't get: why does PALBOT have attack mode? It just feels a lot better to have him by your side so it's easier to dodge spells and everything. Anyway, it looks like you have been prepared a bit more for a theme "companion", haven't you?
But whatever, it is really awesome game, good job!

P.s. thank you for porting to Linux, it works great :)

The Fast and the Frankfurter by KittyMac 2015-04-20T13:49:00

I can't see the road on Linux version and I couldn't find how to exit if the game is not windowed??

Feed The Birds by Gunzil 2015-04-22T16:30:00

I can't play it - there is only a rectangle where I suppose game should be, but nothing loads. By the source I think that you are using Unity. Maybe add standalone downloads to Linux/Mac/Windows?

Just a dream... by ajopart 2015-04-20T14:22:00

I think that you did a very big mistake by not adding sounds. This game would be so much more with them...

Boxmagedon by Dohxis 2015-04-21T14:08:00

Pretty much what everybody just said: there is not much space to move around, and I feel that I should be able to move diagonally.
Graphics are simple, but nice - his looks really polished.
One more thing: it feels weird when in order to restart I have to refresh the page.

All in all, a good entry :P

Boxmagedon by Dohxis 2015-04-21T14:09:00

DUK by Domicuc 2015-04-20T16:37:00

A very.. interesting game. Text could change faster though (or you should be able to click a button to go to the next speech-thingy)

Armory of W.A.T. by dallonf 2015-04-22T15:20:00

Really nice weapons! But the 2nd is a bit too OP...

Air'tack by SwizzMan 2015-04-20T13:35:00

Quite simple game. But hey, it works! One problem I found: if I'm flying very close to the ground and shoot straight I can fly so for ever, never getting hit by enemies

Very hot place by edve98 2015-04-20T09:30:00

@Chadivision thank you for the insights. I did upload a bit newer version of the game with some bug fixes(all I did was just compile the game on Windows, as on Linux Unity3d isn't that stable). The player shoots to the direction of your mouse, and you can shoot up/down/left/right - wherever you want.

Very hot place by edve98 2015-04-20T14:09:00

Thank you everyone! Well, I have to say that I finished working on this game 1 minute before the summit hour. Only if I took a bit fewer breaks...

Very hot place by edve98 2015-04-21T19:59:00

Thank you all for thse wonderful comments! Yes, now I really see the problem with player being very small/portal being somewhat too distracting. I am working on a post-compo version right now, and I'm adding stuff that didn't make it in 48 hours time windows/ fixing things. Constructive criticism is always welcome!

Very hot place by edve98 2015-04-21T20:00:00

factorial, it remembers it even if you close your game ;)

Very hot place by edve98 2015-04-22T17:01:00

reiknight, you can download the soundtrack on Game jolt if you want. Maybe listening to it a bit more will help :P

Lost Penguin by Darkgoon 2015-04-20T18:25:00

The game is wayyyy too hard for me. maybe you should port your game to Linux and also Mac? You are using Unity anyway...

Click It by mrploszaj 2015-04-20T13:57:00

crashes when a loading thing touches me or I press spacebar. Linux mint 17.1 + OpenJDK Java 7 Runtime

Propaganda Defence by scorched 2015-04-25T17:34:00

Very easy- I was only waiting for the wave to pass so I could read what the fuss will be about next time - as citizens were killed almost instantly, and I had tons of cash

This is War by Florent Juch 2015-04-20T09:25:00

Very well-made game! I just loved the mood. Why did you went to Jam? Are some assets not yours or this game was made by a team?

Solar Guardian by LegoBricker 2015-04-21T13:54:00

I really like the game. The concept is really nice, and you really used the theme! God job!

Space Potato by AinoraZ 2015-04-20T13:25:00

It's pretty hard to understand how potatoes work. It's very weird that I have to wait for the cooldown to end, which wont because the weapon will run out of time. Maybe you should have at least have added cool down/weapon timers UI?
2 more suggestions:
*make camera bigger, so at least you could see where new potato has dropped
*add simple pause menu that would toggle with escape button

Umbrellespionage by Ilseroth 2015-04-20T15:29:00

Says "You did" when you die. 10/10
Anyway, really fun and polished game, well done!

Go Shoot Yourself by TheScopelessOne 2015-04-22T15:59:00

Very nice, but the button for 2nd(red) player to shoot is a bit awkward. I think it should probably be numpad 0. Anyway, thanks for porting to Linux!

Hacked by Nate 2015-04-23T16:19:00

Where's the Linux port?

So long, Space Hero. by factorial 2015-04-21T13:25:00

I like the idea! But sadly it was not fun enough to keep me playing after the 1st try

Bird Runner by MacMC 2015-04-20T16:29:00

Very nice job! This game is very nice: the mood, the gameplay... everything!

Frisbee Fetus Bombs by jacketsj 2015-04-20T18:14:00

It stops working as soon as I start playing.. :/

FocalPoint by Killnetic 2015-04-23T16:03:00

I'm pretty sure that you can build for Linux with Unreal engine. Why didn't you do that? (yet?)

N/a by LadyEmaSkye 2015-04-23T16:01:00

wow, why is this on the front page?

Zombies Took My Strawberry by Dungeonation 2015-04-20T18:32:00

Very fun and funny game! This game is done very well, you should be proud! :)

SPOON by JDAivaliotis 2015-04-21T12:58:00

Very fun, but a bit hard for my taste

Vacuum Maiden by UnconventionalFusion 2015-04-22T16:26:00

Please make port for Linux! (and while you're at it, probably make one for Mac as well ;) )

YellAt ! by met44 2015-04-20T19:07:00

Very nice concept! Only downside is that my microphone static noise pretty much does half of the job....

Mindblowing Voice by Ghen 2015-04-20T18:17:00

why didn't you port to Mac? Just asking, I'm happy that you have ported to Linux :D

ChromaGun by pixel_maniacs 2015-04-23T16:17:00

I did not find any way to quit the game, so had to switch to other workspace and kill the process. Also, the voice at the beginning of a level is kind of annoying.

The Landscape Processor by Simon 2015-04-20T14:30:00

I couldn't agree more with what jhell said. But still - nice landscape generator!

LD35 — Shapeshift

windowframe by managore 2016-04-23T14:50:00

this game looks soooo good! It's a shame that it's Windows only :/

Shapeshifting Goddess by MegaBrutal 2016-04-21T13:46:00

Aren't you supposed to provide source code if you participate in compo?

Morph Ranger by mrnannings 2016-04-19T15:27:00

The audio doesn't play for me (Web version) :(

Infinity Access by Hyoga-3D 2016-04-19T15:14:00

I agree with most people - there should be a tutorial (also put quotes on "Jaunty Gumption" in music credits, it looks weird that one song name has them and other does not :P )

Feel Bad by longloaf 2016-04-22T20:10:00

Why didn't you export Linux or WebGL (and OS X for that matter) version of your game? I can't play your game even when you used unity :/

"Shape" Shifter by Hendri 2016-04-22T19:48:00

can you upload your game somewhere else? Kongregate asks for flash - I have it on Google Chrome but it does not support WebGL. Firefox (which I have too) has WebGL but no flash since Adobe's flash player for Linux is a "bit" outdated.

"Shape" Shifter by Hendri 2016-04-25T19:15:00

If I were using Unity I would package up and upload all Windows/Mac/Linux versions and would add "(untested)" near those who I can't test.

Or just upload Linux version for me :P

OUROBOROS by undefinist 2016-04-20T19:06:00

A bit too hard for my liking

shifted by akirassasin 2016-04-18T13:05:00

can you package Linux or openGL version of your game too? I can't play your game :(
P.s. If you are participating in compo you must provide game's source code!

shifted by akirassasin 2016-04-22T20:06:00

Thanks for putting up Linux version :). Although it has _MACOSX folder in the zip - not sure why.

And now the game: I think that it is too hard. Remember that you play your game countless times when testing and have a lot of time to master it. If you think it's a bit hard for others it might be unplayable. Also I feel like the game shouldn't start until you press an arrow button - some people might not be able to read instructions as quickly (not sure who. But it's also possible that they check their phone while Unity3d logo is showing or something). But that's just polishing though :P

Also I didn't find any humor in your game - why didn't you opt out from this category? (also I didn't heard any sounds but that might be because I was messing with alsa mixer yesterday)

Shift & Persist by hazzahazzam 2016-05-08T10:05:00

Everything is great but the controls are really bugging me. This could use some polishing!

ShifTris by hippy dave 2016-04-18T14:30:00

Pretty nice twist. I just don't get it, do I have a limited amount of time to get as much score as possible or something? The game restarted even though I didn't lose(Web version). Also, it's impossible to lose if you only use the O (or cube) shape :P

System Shift by edve98 2016-04-18T21:44:00

Yes, my engine is open source (on GPL3 license, that's why my game is on GPL3 too) and is hosted on GitHub (so anybody can use it as long as their game is also open sourced with GPL3). I just forgot to add it because I posted this submission really late at night - sorry!

System Shift by edve98 2016-04-19T14:57:00

Just uploaded a project .zip where single 'make' command will build and run the game. If you are on Windows you need to have Cygwin installed though (not sure if MinGW would do it). I should have done this long ago but I was kind of busy. Oh well...

System Shift by edve98 2016-04-19T16:20:00

Sadly my engine does not support Windows yet - I'll get to work on it pretty soon though. Hopefully I'll finish Windows support until voting ends.

About the rules: it is said "If you’re using an internal library, to participate in the Compo, you will be required to share it." My engine would probably count as "internal library". But I'm not really sure, correct me if I'm wrong.

System Shift by edve98 2016-04-19T17:08:00

@Prudiiarca Yeah I know. I'm planning to add Windows support on my engine until voting ends. OS X version is not coming though - I have nowhere to compile it from (and compiling from Linux looks messy, I'd rather get Windows version going).

Also, if you're on OS X and have dev tools already installed all you have to do is run single 'make' command :)

System Shift by edve98 2016-04-19T17:10:00

@Upwily huh, I have no idea why would it do that. I'll have to look into that!

System Shift by edve98 2016-04-19T17:17:00

@remmy thanks for you comment! Yeah, the help page was a bit rushed and I forgot winning conditions. I also wanted to get something more done with score and gameplay but I just ran out of time. I'm thinking about participating with the the same (improved) engine on next LD. I'm sure my next game would be much more enjoyable :P

System Shift by edve98 2016-04-20T20:25:00

I must admit that there isn't much game depth. Most of my time went into making room generation (it's my first time doing somewhat proper procedural generation)

System Shift by edve98 2016-04-23T12:42:00

It's weird that it doesn't work on Mac. It builds and works on Linux and Windows with Cygwin. I'll try to take a look at it!

System Shift by edve98 2016-05-07T16:45:00

It's because I didn't have enough time to implement Windows terminal API into my engine. Who was responsible at Microsoft for not supporting ANSI escape codes?? (there's no compiled OS X version because I don't own a Mac or hackintosh)

Flow by flummox3d 2016-05-08T09:15:00

Very well made game. Congratz! :P

Ghostshifter by Mirch 2016-05-08T09:30:00

Unfortunately the Linux version seems to be removed too :/

Neon Level Switcher by theck 2016-04-23T15:35:00

I think it's sometimes unfair as in the end it's impossible to go to a safe place if you are in a bad position.

Doppel City by Green Soda 2016-05-08T10:06:00

Damn this looks soooo good! It's a shame it's Windows only :/

AAA Wars by alexlemming 2016-05-08T11:59:00

Very cool game! I was only a bit confused about where to find the controller

GeoShift by WASD 2016-04-21T15:06:00

Web version is VERY laggy for me. Shame there isn't Linux build - maybe it wouldn't lag that much

Really cool mechanics! Last level took quite some time for me. What tools did you use?

Will you Change? by Teke 2016-04-26T14:27:00

Your "web" link directs to a Windows version :/ Can you add web/Linux version of your game?

Jugales by OrangePop 2016-04-22T18:19:00

was there any audio? I couldn't hear any (Linux version)

Work! by DevelopTech 2016-04-23T15:13:00

for some weird reason Web version wasn't scaled properly for me (I couldn't see the whole word "Work" in the game). And since you didn't package Linux version I had to play with that :(

LD36 — Ancient Technology

Spectacular Stride Machine by Garfeild 2016-09-01T10:57:00

I loved the audio! Good atmosphere, decent gameplay. One thing I wish this game had (besides Linux version) is a nice animation of machine breaking down. Anyway, good job!

Cool concept. It's a shame you didn't finish it.

Random Access Aliens by edve98 2016-08-29T16:04:00

@Sun-Wukong Sadly no. At first I was thinking about making a few levels to beat, but I ran out of time :(

Random Access Aliens by edve98 2016-08-29T16:44:00

@Vaiaphraim at first I was thinking of giving some points for that (or killing multiple aliens with single grenade) but I really ran out of time - I was working hard until the deadline.

@DifferentName yeah the problem with aiming was not fixed due to time shortage. And !'s cannot be destroyed. The game thinks of them like walls :P

Random Access Aliens by edve98 2016-08-29T17:26:00

@amras0000 it does have numpad support, I just didn't add that to the game. When I think about it it makes a lot of sense to have numpad as controls.

Color is there in the engine but not for Windows so I didn't bother to add it to the game (even if I did I would've probably chosen the worst colors possible, haha).

And I was trying to add normal path finding but it didn't work as intended an hour and a half until the deadline. I Decided to scrap it and finish off things that were really important (like grenades actually doing damage).

Random Access Aliens by edve98 2016-08-29T20:11:00

Oh, I didn't make the the whole engine during LD. I made it *for* it a few weeks before it started (well, I continued with what I had since last LD). Did I say anything that suggest I made it during LD? English isn't my native language so that could've happened.

Tower of Babel by Ib1s 2016-08-29T21:01:00

Pretty cool game! I have to say that after a while I started cheating by placing my mouse cursor at the top of the window so I would know exactly when to drop the brick :P

Phone Inventor by Xlip 2016-08-30T20:12:00

Runty Raptor's Rock Roller by ryte2byte 2016-08-29T17:39:00

I have to agree with svyatozar that controlls are a bit akward. Also I found that just mashing D is a viable strategy (and sometimes stopping to geta bird or two). This game could do with some balancing.

Oh right, Runty has some sick tricks! ;)

Temple Balls by SiberianCyborgs666 2016-08-30T20:22:00

Really well polished game, but way too hard for my taste :P

Ghosts In The Shell by xgeovanni 2016-08-30T13:47:00

Awesome work! I too missed the ability to hit tab.

I wonder if you could actually make this on real Linux distro like arch, package up the whole filesystem and then tell the players to chroot into it? I think that would make an amazing game (I'm actually thinking about that for next LD :P)

Floppy Disk Glitch by tartlegames 2016-08-29T16:38:00

I can't get to the ending (Heck, I'm not sure if I'm supposed to just keep going, but clicking on different windows still closes the game). There are two problems tat I encountered: holding down the space makes jumping somewhat glitchy and that I am put to the new level instantly - I accidentally jumped off the first platform even though there was a file there.

Anyway, the idea with new fake windows popping up is pretty cool :)

Hidden Desert by Kalibrated 2016-08-29T21:32:00

Yeah I also think that key was pretty hard to spot (I figured it out only after looking at the comments). And what the hell was that body after I used the key? I'm not really sure about that.. Anyway, all in all it's a pretty cool game. Shame it doesn't have any music in the background.

Rogue-like by Domantas 2016-08-29T21:45:00

Probably the best game I played so far! I guess opening the map and looking for games made by people in Lithuania was worth it :P

I also made text based game but it's not as good (and is played in the terminal).

So yeah, 10/10.

AIMG by Gravity Games 2016-08-29T18:32:00

Great graphics! I think that latching onto walls doesn't work (at least on Linux) unless I have to get another piece of suit that I cant find.

Oh, and I think I can recognize that tune from one of my old LD game.. :P (here's link if you want to take a look http://ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-32/?action=preview&uid=45010)

Warring Townships by Liam :D 2016-08-30T14:22:00

Cool game (especially the terrain generation part! :P). But controls felt a bit weird for me (like why do I have to give orders to every single unit if I want to move my army?).

Dino Hipster Survival by zulman 2016-08-29T17:16:00

Awesome visuals and sounds! Sadly I find it pretty hard to play on laptop's touchpad. I think it would be awesome if you could shoot not only by clicking mouse but lets say spacebar too :)

Enlightened Cave by samu 2016-08-29T16:49:00

On OpenJDK in Linux only the player character is shown - no ground, no platforms, nothing. I guess Oracle java is required?

Ancient Motivation Technology by TheMightySice 2016-08-29T14:32:00

hah, cool idea! The sounds make the game so much better. Also one suggestions: have you tried making the work day counter decrease only when someone is working? That would probably motivate the player to keep motivating the workers rather than defending from them :P

Defend Earth From Ancient Asteroid by burnedkirby 2016-08-29T14:45:00

The music was awesome! Also the game was pretty hard (Although I was never good at these sort of games).

Suggestions: as someone already said background would have been amazing and I wish there was some sort of screen "You won" after you kill the asteroid - I thought that the animation would continue and I was pretty sad when it didn't (or that might be problem with Linux build).

Also I don't see how an ancient asteroid is technology :P

Retro Player by justinooncx 2016-08-29T18:15:00

Wow, awesome visuals! I find this game very hard, I wonder if it's easier on mobile (can you move crosshair/player at the same time?).

BOTS vs DNA by liquidmedia 2016-08-29T17:51:00

Is it me vs everyone? I couldn't tell the difference if there were teams. Also it's a bit weird that you don't see the projectile/get killed instantly.

But if networking is working properly (I haven't tested it) it's pretty cool :P

Left Behind by RockhopperGames 2016-08-30T20:34:00

Very cool atmosphere! I guess you could have added something to collect to make this more game-ish (if you even want to do that). Anyway, good job on your first 3d work!

It Started Out With A Brick by peterthehe 2016-08-29T14:58:00

It's pretty awesome that you made this! Music was great although I got bored of it pretty fast:/

Some interactivity would be awesome - letting the player change the scene would be cool (but it might take quite some time to do :/ )

Lorem Ipsum or Engineering for a Civilized Age by amras0000 2016-08-29T21:21:00

Awesome game! Although it seems so long that I couldn't ever finish it :P

Loved the music and graphics weren't that bad either. The only thing that I missed was some kind of map or other means of navigation. Are that actual cities on the map?

Also, isn't it's a standard to measure everything against Debian and not Ubuntu releases? :P

Excavation Manager by Tetha 2016-08-29T15:30:00

I have to say I really liked this game! (Although I had to restart a few times until I got how to play it). Good work!

If I have to say which part should be improved it would be to make ui nicer because gameplay is pretty solid!

Cave Tale by AinoraZ 2016-08-30T11:49:00

It's a good entry for a game made in 2 to 3 hours. I think the game gets a bit too fast before giving 5 drawings.

Tomb Robbers by facelesstheone 2016-08-29T15:09:00

I killed 97. I guess that's pretty bad :/

I think it would be amazing if player could choose which traps go where before the level starts :P

Also I'm really sad there was no music/sounds - it would have made the game so much better!

Icarus by JustASHadow 2016-08-29T18:38:00

Mead Boy by blubberquark 2016-08-30T11:17:00

I must say that graphics are amazing :P

It's a cool game, although I found that the best strategy for me is to wait as much as possible because my brain can't handle that always changing delay.

Voxel of Evil by Eniimal 2016-08-29T18:01:00

I cant shoot too :/. And yes you should be able to rotate when moving because now it's really annoying. However, art looks really cool!

Golden Ruins by agriks 2016-08-29T18:11:00

Pretty cool, but it got pretty repetitive after a few puzzles that had 4 rows.

no Linux or webGL version while you're using Unity? That's pretty evil :(

LD37 — One room

3 Minutes 2 Escape 1 Room by Cole Chittim 2016-12-18T14:52:00

For some reason FPS was pretty low for me. Anyway, pretty nice game overall. Would have been nice to see more randomness in how room looks. Also it was sometimes a bit awkward to rotate the paintings to get the cards from their backs. It was also not very intuitive to run into closed door to escape - I almost lost because of that! :P

ReRoom by recursor 2016-12-29T20:39:00

The game was a bit laggy. Maybe you should release standalone versions too?

The Coffee Room by Rakart 2016-12-28T19:57:00

Art and music is just great. I feel like the game is a bit too hard (yes, I know that you have made it easier already :P)

Weird,I got stuck where I couldn't make one jump in time no matter how hard I tried :/ (also, are checkpoints supposed to make the whole screen flash so much? For me it's pretty annoying)

Robovac Simulator 2k16 by markten 2016-12-17T13:25:00

It gives me an error while trying to run on Linux:
Linux_Binary/Ludum_Dare_37: error while loading shared libraries: libSDL2_image-2.0.so.0

I think you might want to give -static flag for your compiler or package SDL2 with Linux download

Robovac Simulator 2k16 by markten 2016-12-18T13:29:00

I see... Although this could get a bit painful if different distros started offering different versions of SDL2. I guess I might have to install it sooner or later to play other LD games anyway. But for now if you want to try to package SDL2 yourself I could test that :)

Orbital Engagement by tompudding 2016-12-28T19:48:00

Art is nice but I think the game is a bit too hard

Arcane Incrementalist by deathray 2016-12-29T18:54:00

The jam version is too slow. It's good that you have sped up the post compo one and made the game to be on one screen. Still, the post compo game page on my laptop looks a bit messed up with the menu on. Try out your game on different resolutions!

Teleporting Room by SkyWolf 2016-12-29T18:29:00

The Chore by cxsquared 2016-12-18T13:45:00

got 3/4 endings. Maybe you could post somewhere how to get all endings and link it here? (of curse say that that are spoilers :P). I also agree with others that timer would be nice (although it seems to me that it's actually how many "turns" you have left and not time at all).

Flip by Ramperkash 2016-12-23T16:36:00

Cool game! Though "painting" where the walls will be felt a bit awkward (the bit where the whole background is taggable)

Room 753 by local minimum 2016-12-17T12:44:00

Got stuck on Second level, don't really know what to do there. Graphics when in full screen on Linux bugs out, I had to use windowed mode. Also looking at the effects somewhat hurts my eyes so I can't play it for long enough to try to finish the game :(

Loading... Please Wait by DeathBySnail 2016-12-23T15:58:00

Weird, the game says it failed to load after the loading screen finishes and tells me to restart. Well, at least there was that minigame so there is something to judge :P

Factory-Room by Yvanor 2016-12-17T11:33:00

Pretty nice game overall. Here are some things that I think could be improved:

- Difficulty. The last level seemed very hard while the first one was veeeery easy even with touchpad (second level was impossible with touchpad so I had to get my mouse). I think the game starts too easy and becomes a bit too hard.

- Timer. I think that knowing how much time is left until day ends would be very nice in this kind of game.

- Day-end messages. I don't believe it should say "fine" if you don't pass the level :P

- Background music. This would have made your game sooo much better in terms of audio and mood.

World of Toyships by WizzardMaker 2016-12-28T17:58:00

It's a shame that you didn't finish this. This looks like a beginnings of a cool game! One suggestion that you should definitely implement if you will continue to develop this: add some sort of cooldown bar that shows when will you be able to shoot again. Spamming mouse buttons is not fun :P

Carlander by tayl1r 2016-12-29T20:48:00

Pretty fun but I couldn't win once. I always got pushed away when there were around 3 cars left

Going Outside by karln 2016-12-18T13:20:00

Bugroom by erik 2016-12-18T12:38:00

ok this is pretty weird... I can't launch your game because the launcher photo is so big that it makes the whole window too big for my screen which means that I can't see the bottom of it where the play button is. Can yo build a version with a smaller launcher photo (or no photo at all)?

Room of Doom by limered 2016-12-18T12:55:00

Interesting idea but I almost instantly found a way to pretty much play for as long as you want: just go in one direction and keep changing the gravity. However if you stop something usually bugs out and enemies will get you. If you will continue to develop this you should find a way to discourage such player behavior!

Hah, at first I didn't understand that this was pacman. Great idea! Although it's pretty bad that I could pretty much dodge all the ghosts while sprinting all the time. Also the game was a bit too dark for my taste. Anyway, good work!

Factory by Mordokay 2016-12-18T14:24:00

I also agree that more liberal snaping would have been nice (at least showing where the piece is going to snap if you release the mouse would have been good). I also felt that after some time the game was too easy even on highest difficulty. I wanted it to gradually speed up or something

Fish Physics by avalkyrie 2016-12-17T13:02:00

this would be so much better if fish had some sort of AI and there was a bigger tank so you could watch what happens after you press done :P
