Dear gods how horrifying. Fun little game. Like the theme use.
Very fun and interesting idea.
I found the controls a little counter intuitive, my bread just kept falling straight down. Nice art style.
Took a minute to figure out how to throw the bread, but after that...yep. I walked away richer.
Really cool spin in the theme! Can the money be spent or is it just form of score?
Thanks for playing and commenting!
The money is just a score counter that indicates how many people you were able to hit before everyone left the scene. The envisioned usage was to spend it on upgrades and such but we wanted to keep things small.
The velocity of the bread you are holding in your hand mirrors velocity of the bread that is thrown, so you need to let go of the mouse button while it is moving across the screen.
Great take on the theme and a funny concept, controls were a little confusing though.
The Controls need a tutorial, but apart from that it is a very creative and fun game
Took me a while to understand what to do but had fun! Nice job.
Pretty funny idea. Controls were a little confusing at first. Got hard to target that last little guy standing.
Fun! But I agree, you need tutorial for the Controls.
Took me a while to figure out how to actually throw the bread, could use a tutorial.
I can't play it - there is only a rectangle where I suppose game should be, but nothing loads. By the source I think that you are using Unity. Maybe add standalone downloads to Linux/Mac/Windows?
Yay! Another Bird game!
Pretty cool sandbox xD I had difficulty controlling the direction of the throw... but the concept was pretty neat :P And the graphics too. The duck sound effect when it zooms down is pretty awesome in a weird kind of way as well.
Made me laugh a lot! Even though the music wasn't original, it was still awesome. Graphics were pretty nice too, the game has more gameplay than graphics (which is great!). Really innovative too, great job! :)
A bit unclear how the throwing worked at first but figured it out pretty soon. Funny little game! :)
Could use some more sound/graphics effects to help the mood. But fun overall.
Very nice use of the theme! As others have mentioned, the controls took a little while to figure out, but once I got the hang of it, I found reaching down and flinging the bread to be very satisfying.
Nice consistent graphic style as well - I like the abstract buildings, but they feel a little awkwardly spaced. I'd like to see a more complete city, or perhaps a different locale (duck pond?).
This was fun to play, and I felt like the style/animations/music/sound all meshed together quite nicely.
Neat game with a great variation of the theme. It was very satisfying when you got the shot just right. I also liked how overly-menacing the music was as the ducks quacked ominously overhead.
Hello Gunzil,
I finally got to play your game.
Unfortunately I will not be able to say anything new here. I like the velocity based controls (although would be better on touchscreen than my laptop) but if I didn't read your post I would have never guessed.
Music and duck sounds are kinda annoying but in a good way. I actually have it turned on in the background for around ten minutes now and cannot seem to turn off. Calling it over-menacing is quite accurate :). General idea is also quite nice.
Hope to "meet" you and your team next Ludum Dare :)
Cheers
Now that I've accomplished my goal of making a small game with a bit of polish, it looks like my next goal will be a game that teaches the player how to actually play it. Thanks for the feedback, everyone. :D
Took mi a bit of time to understand the controls but after I got it, it was quite satisfying.
Took me a while to figure out how to actually throw the bread but this was absolutely hilarious to play and a pretty great take on the theme.
