World In A Bottle by Serilyn 2012-04-23T19:31:00
This is one of the best game I've played so far. Great work!

This is one of the best game I've played so far. Great work!
Sorry for the collision bugs, it happens in the corners because I'm only considering one side colliding at a time !
Thanks a lot, I really appreciate it. It's rather funny cause I'm a programmer and game designer. I've never thought I could actually produce a game with "good" graphics :)
I totally agree
Than you all for playing and commenting. A friend told me about the sweating thing, I added this at the last minute but I should have not ! :)
Thanks guys for playing and everything.
@Rémi, how long did it take to load exactly ? I've never noticed that and the assets are really lightweight! (I'm loading it in like 10 seconds)
Great experience. I got afraid at times :) Impressive, immersive, good job!
This is really really good. I was ready for more levels though :) Great job!
There is some much coolness about your game. It's really something. How did you even accomplish this ? It's 2D right ? It looks awesome, it's simple and engaging. Great job, it's exactly the kind of game I like to find in the Ludum Dare.
It's pretty interesting. I felt sleepy too toward the end!
So much fun, Thank you! I played a bit randomly but still it was seriously cool. I guess it needs some tweaks to add some strategy but anyway good job!
You should have called your game insanity.
Well done! You interpreted the minimalism theme in a funny, parodic way. Like it!
Pretty weird, I love weird. I made it to the beach but I'm not sure I understood what I was doing :)
Pretty pretty pretty cool. Great job.
Wow, that's awesome, everything's great, from the animations to the concept, it's dead simple yet deep. Great job!
It's an awesome game, loved it. There's some great replay value here. Very good job!
It's pretty amazing and weirdly funny. I ended believing that those squares were persons. I love weird games!
Thanks a lot guys. I'm not sure whether it can be played on mobile or not. Theoretically yes, but no promises :)
Indeed, the remaining clicks (waypoints) should have been displayed somewhere on the screen. Lack of playtests and perspectives I guess.
Oh no it's me, sorry about that reload bug. I can't seem to reproduce it though... weird!
Thank you all for giving me your feedbacks and playing my game. It's really great to have that many enthusiastic comments!
Also, I have uploaded a new version with the clicks counter displayed in lieu of the mouse cursor :)
This is the last one. There are 14 levels. I had more but a major bug prevented me from using them :(
@rwos, ok thanks for clarifying!
Again thank you for your feedbacks, it makes me so happy! I was not considering the idea of publishing this game at first but you are starting to convince me. It seems like Kongregate could be a good way of doing it, it accepts HTML5 and have a mobile portal. Anyway thank you for playing, liking, rating and commenting!
Thank you for doing such a game. That's exactly the kind of games I'd like to see more in the Ludum Dare. You tried something different and it was risky so thank you and nice job, I really liked it.
Now, I must confess that I liked it to a certain point and after that I was a bit disappointed. The game seemed complex and beautiful and weird and not very rational. But when I understood that a black room was a disabled memory space I just kept moving randomly until I could not find any white room. Then I pressed enter and that was it. It lacks a hint, moving randomly is pointless. I believe that there could have been a hint hidden in each room so that there is a path to follow maybe from room to room or something like that.
Anyway, nice job !
Thanks for the comments everybody.
I had little time to play other games but I should be able to do it soon enough.
Also, I prepared a post compo version that I will be adding tonight or tomorrow. You will be able to try again if you wish.
Sorry about the fact that you had a hard time playing the game. I hope that less bugs and more players will smooth the experience as I don't think I will be extended the game any time soon :)
Very very cool game. I really dig the way you make fun of everything! :)
Dude, this is seriously cool. I'm not sure I did everything I could in the game though. Great entry!
Very pleasant and peaceful experience. It reminded me of Metroid Prime a bit. Great job for this and thank you!
This is so awesome! I spent a fair amount of time with it. Seriously great entry. The only thing that bothers me is that it's pretty hard to identify objects :)
Love the graphics. Too bad there's nothing beside killing the worm!
Nice entry. Too bad the constellations are not of use or at least I did not get it...
You had me dream and travel for a little while, thank you and great job!
This is so awesome. Love it! Great job guys.
Awesome mood and really cool experience. Loved to play with my little space aquatic ship. I don't get the link with the theme though? Can you tell us :) ? Anyway, great entry!
That was pretty fun to play, good job!
It reminds of a mechanic introduced in the best LD keynote ever by ChevyRay: http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-23-keynote/
Ahah I had so much fun! :)
A very great game overall! Good job :)
Very great mood and gameplay!
Cool take on the theme :) Is there anything to do past the river?
It's a good idea I wish I could see more I was not able to pass the first moving platform, I can reach the platform and even get to the top but then the platform does not allow me to get to the other side of the big wall. Anyway it's still really good.
Nice idea. I like using attract and repel together to propel the ball.
Very well done! It reminded me of vvvvvvv
That so much fun! Great entry :)
Dude, this is weird! (mine too) :) I'm not sure I get the link with the theme though...?
Very inspiring take on the theme!
Again thank you everyone for your feedbacks! I'm fully aware that the thing is quite hard to kill and it shouldn't be so (initially the thing was supposed to collide with walls making it easier to kill it but it was buggy). Anyway thank you for playing and voting :)
Great visual, great music. Well done it's really inspiring :)
Pretty neat concept! Great level design, you hit all the right spots. Good job!
Even though it's a bit light on the theme it's a very fresh experience, I loved it! And the art is a perfect fit as well as a beautiful style.
Really cool experience, great mood and great art. I found Fox very quickly though, maybe it spoiled the game a bit for me I wish I could explore a little longer :)
Very hard sometimes but very cool to solve anyway!
Very cool to play. A very good game overall.
Very cool game and it's a refreshing take on the theme I like that.
Very awesome, great visuals and mood but it feels like sometimes you just have to click frenetically to get past a certain point. I guess it lacks certain automatics to ease the work :). Anyway, great job!
There's something utterly depressing in your game, and I'm not talking about the fact that it's very hard. I guess that's exactly what you were going for, right?
Very funny little game. I played a lot, the control are cool and different from what we're used to. The mood is great too. Well done mate!
Beautiful and intriguing mate :)
Wow this so cool to play. It's crazy how fast we get used to having a round gravity! Well done it's really really great :)
Very very cool. It reminded me of Anna Anthropy's game Triad but way more interesting if you ask me :)
Great entry, this was almost perfect. I loved every minute of wander in this beautiful spaceship. Bravo!
That was actually very cool. I loved the mood and the art. Great entry!
Very cool game. Great job. Look&feel is perfect. Maybe it would benefit from different planet behaviors so that you can have more strategy!
I just wish there was more to do I loved swapping between worlds it's so smooth I was doing it again and again, just to hear the music change. Nicely done!
Pretty cool idea but clearly not the easiest game in the world. It could have used a little difficulty progression :) Well done!
That's actually a very good concept and the art and sounds are gorgeous. Too bad it does not last longer :) Great job!
It's absolutely beautiful, and it's an interesting take on the theme. I just wish I had more things to do so I could play and explore a little bit longer.
Once or two I had to actually jump from the beanstalk into the void to reach the next planet: best gaming moment of the year. Great job!
very clever and challenging! Well done.
Very cool game to play and looking good too. I like the way you interpreted the theme, this is exactly what I feel is behind this theme. The jump control is a bit weird but overall this is really a great entry, good job!
I played a lot of entries in which you have to conquer planets but this one is clearly the best I've played. It's so well designed and addictive. Great job!
Great puzzle game. Well done :)
Very nice entry! And it's your first LD! Well done.
I really got the feeling of being lost in space, it was even pretty cool to navigate between planets. The art style fits nicely too. Nice job it's a good experience despite the weird sounds and controls :)
This is the next Octodad! It's really cool to play and I laughed so hard. Well done! My favorite so far :)
Really beautiful and soothing.
This is a really impressive game you've made here! And it's pretty fun to play :)
Pretty interesting idea. It becomes better as you play I wish there was more. Great visual style also. Well done :)
This is seriously awesome.
Very entertaining to play, a bit hard maybe. This game mechanics is seen quite often these days but it fits the theme rather well I think. Well done :)
Very cool idea. It sounds, looks and works well. Bravo!
Pretty good concept!
:3
Nice interpretation of the theme :)
The controls are too slow and it lacks levels but it's very pleasing to play. Well done!
I love the way you interpreted the theme! And the game is pretty cool and clever. Well done :)
Great mood and addictive gameplay. Well done :)
Sounds, looks and feels beautifully. Great job!
This the most beautiful game I've seen so far. Same for music, it's really great. Well done!
Thanks for your feedbacks :)
@SelfishGenome Can you tell me what does not work? Is it that you can't execute the program or just that you have a hard time finding what to do in the game?
Thanks again everyone for playing and leaving feedbacks. I'm a bit sorry about the fact that the objective can seem vague but I believe it's kinda part of the experience I sought. I wanted the player to try and manipulate the world synchronization in every way possible and I find it fun to just watch the worlds turn and going up and down and all but maybe it's just me :) Anyway thank you again!
Thank you all for playing. I'm really happy if you actually had (even a little) fun while playing my game :) And I'm even happier if you find it interesting.
@Pierrec Yes you're probably right but at first I wanted only one level but then I wanted a thousand and then I could not make more than one so that a tutorial level for only one level kinda was weird. But yes I agree :)
@frogcheese yes and then you can bring them together (make opposite monoliths touch each other) to finalize the sync.
This is absolutely fabulous. I loved it :)
This is a nice take on the clicking game genre. Very very weird too but in such a cool way. Bravo I love your game :)
It's beautiful, and it got me thinking about various people that could transmit altered information and so on. Very cool. Too bad there's only one level :)
This is absolutely fabulous. I loved it :)
This is perfect, I've found my favorite. Best use of the theme, very very cool mechanic I had a lot of fun and it has a lot of potential. BRAVO.
Love the mood and the overall idea. Is there a way to beat the green beasts ?
This is really wonderful. I wasn't expecting that. Well done it's different and clever :)
Ahah, this is silly. And funny. And cool. Great job!
Dude, this is awesome! And crazy :)
This is actually pretty cool. I like the premise but I ended making huge laundries to gather lots of objects so that I could send text messages. Huge laundries taking more time I spent most of my time waiting :) Weird and in the end very close to the actual laundry day feeling. Well done.
Ahah this is so funny. Great job it's really cool to play.
This is an awesome concept :)
This was a really interesting experience. Well done I love this kind of weird game :)
This is pretty cool. Well done!
This is so hard. But I keep coming back. Well done it's pretty good :)
Pretty clever concept and very compelling!
Well done it's a very cool game and a good use of the theme. Very gross too, that's perfect :)
I had a lot of fun. This is very well done. Interesting mechanic too :)
This is a very nice way of telling a story and a very good take on the theme! Well done I enjoyed it.
This is sooo cool! Very cool concept, it reminds me of Chris Heckers's spy party :)
This was so cool I felt like a hacker, it's a great game. Well done!
Very great job! It's like playing pong with your browser. Great use of the theme.
This is very cool to play. Well done.
Very challenging! Cool game and cool audio :)
Mind blown! This is so great, I was in the matrix
I did not think I would go through the whole night but I did! Well done it's very interesting and a great use of the theme I think.
Great mood! Well done.
Pretty cool little game, it's a bit weird but in a good way. Well done it's an interesting concept :)
Really cool game. It's amusing how we kinda forget about the robots sometimes and just play to match colors I had to actually tell myself to look for the right colors :) Good job!
This is so clever! Great use of the theme and very awesome game!
Thanks a lot everyone.
You are right, the screenshot of the full rose was not taken during gameplay, it's misleading. BUT, it seems so obvious now, it should be possible to actually reach the final form. I don't know how I haven't thought of it earlier. I'm gonna make a post compo that will remember fully aligned and activated branches and make them stick.
@tudd I saw that too on a friend's computer I don't know why it's made with Unity and uses high res sprites it shouldn't be blurry.
@All I'll make a post compo very soon, you'll be able to actually finish the game and it should be simpler too.
Thanks again everyone.
Thank you everyone for playing. It gives me games to play too :)
@willbefast with a bit of dedication it's possible to actually be good at it. But I admit it's too hard. Sorry about that :)
Thank you for playing and for your comments!
I'm glad you can appreciate the game despite its difficulty :)
This is really great I loved it. It's very inspiring. And I completely get the theme interpretation. Well done!
This rocks :)
It does not work on my computer. I'm using Windows 7 64 bits. The game just does not launch.
Oh I will, I had missed that info, sorry :)
This is really awesome. Beautiful and a great mood it made me feel something close to nostalgia I think. Very well done!
Very well executed. Bravo :)
This is really cool dude. Nice idea I wish there was more things I could do! I think the most interesting feature is the chain reaction from the red cores I wanted more of these ones to open passages and stuff :)
Crazy!
Great entry and great use of the theme :)
This is so fun to play!
This is the most WTF game I've ever played.
This is really interesting. It might a little bit of feedback and tweaking but it 's already awesome as it is. Well done!
This is awesome! I love to see that kind of game here :)
Bravo!
Such a great mood. Well done.
Very clever. It's a lot of fun :)
:)
Nicely done.
Very. Good. Audio.
It's really cool, I also try do the same in my life but it's hard!
Great mood, I was hooked!
This is really cool I really wanted to know what was going to happen.
Ahah this is so cool and a bit crazy too :) Well done.
I loved it. It's very strange. Almost creepy. And this feels just right, the mechanic is so obvious but at the same time so different that what we are used to :)
This is really cool, the idea is great and the mood feels right. I just wish it was less linear and gamey you know like I feel you could have done something really weird!
Oh no! I commented on the wrong page. SORRY :)
This is very hard! But I kept coming back and the mechanic is really interesting. And it's very pretty too. Well done!
This is crazy, and stupid. I love it :)
The mood is incredibly heavy. It works very well, I still feel weird and sad. But I'm glad I do :) I went through the end so yes the message is Cristal clear. Well done.
Thank you everyone for your comments!
I'm surprised about the theme interpretation I though it was pretty straightforward! :)
When you click on the pieces of decor that pass by, you actually make them move at the same speed as you. It's the most unconventional weapon I could think of :). Was that mandatory to make a weapon that kills?
Thank you everyone for playing and commenting. I agree with all of you and I'm working on a new version thanks to you :)
Thank you for playing everyone.
I didn't think it needed instructions but maybe I maybe should add some I guess. You cannot win indeed.
I would love to use it to destroy shapes instead of trying to find it :)
Loved it!
:)
Sorry about that, it comes from the way I read and write the files I believe. I will try to use a more platform independent system.
