GLORPLAX III by Pacifist Games 2012-12-28T00:31:00
Using lag as a game mechanic is very interesting! I made it through the first 5 screens, then I lost my cool and went into a fit from fustration, nice game! :)

Nice graphics, and music, the controls are clearly meant for touchscreen devices, but works quite fine on pc as well. +goat
This game is waaay more fun than it should be.. :D Very fluid and cool mechanic, just works(TM).
N.I.C.E.
TOP SCORE!
There's absolutely nothing to be said against the splatter effect! :)
Controls are a bit off, but it's rather fun when you have a friend to play against.
One of the best games I've seen thus far!
I never did manage to crash my meteor satisfyingly into the planet earth, but it was fun trying! ;)
I ran the 32 bit ubuntu binary here on Arch linux, it worked after installing libtiff and symlinking: sudo ln -s /usr/lib/libtiff.so /usr/lib/libtiff.so.4
You are right, people cheating in the line are really the everyday villains ;)
I like it! Destroy the planet! ;)
I couldn't run the Linux version (I'm on 32 bit), but the windows version works in wine, absolutely beautiful game, stunning music. Takes some figuring out. Very nice.
Absolutely beautiful! This entry also runs in Wine in case you're interested. The graphics are stunning, and the animations are smooth! The fire texture completes the feeling that it is all an adventure, where you are indeed the villain :)
Beautiful game, love the graphics, and the "shine light on enemies to kill them" works well :) - It also works in wine, which makes me able to actually vote for it :)
I like the "don't be discovered" mechanic, it works great :)
Have to give this tops in everything, except 3 in Innovation, the "killingfloor" genre have been done to death (pun intended), anyway, everything is so well made about this one.. Sound, graphics, fun, theme, and I might have weird humor.. But wow.. Nice. Game.
Very, VERY difficult. By the way, it runs fine in WINE too :)
This gets its high rating from me, not from innovation (DK), but from awesome music and the funny things the minions say, and the fact that it's a fully functioning RTS in 48 hours!
This is surely how DK would have looked on the C64 ;)
Very nice! I did find it confuzing to control, I do see the light, but two buttons "Fast" and "Slow" would have been a bit easier to control. That being said, great game, good idea!
I agree with most people, the teleport mechanic makes this quite fun and challenging to play, the collision problems are not that bad, I'm sure it's something like "if player touches block, and was not teleporting there, get him to the top of the block, since he must have landed on it." which makes it crash when it pulls you to y position -1.
Does not matter, clearly, the player have a weak head and dies (badly) when he hits his head on the ceiling, it's part of the gameplay ;)
Neatly done, your potato is evil ^_^
Strange and neat! :D
Looks cool, but I could not run it:
$ ./main.py
File "./main.py", line 18

Nice :)
Sweet style and take on the theme, I like how it's just "danger", it works.
Neat mechanic, and quite much content for such short time, the mechanic works well too, it's quite difficult :)
Really nice!
That is awesome! I love the idea with the rules, and the graphics fits very well, i don't really agree that much on the theme, but I guess the potato outweights that! :) I've thought about making "programming games" before, you did one, and it's really cool!
Brilliant idea!
Very interesting game!
=( Unity webplayer does not agree with linux
Very weird ^_^ A nice experience!
Great game, I like the 3D-2D style and crazy boxey characters!
Very polished! :) Keys are not unresponsive at all, all that is needed is a n-key rollover keyboard (which is any proper keyboard)
Martin, as this whole software does not ever delete or change any files (no savegame or anything else writing to files), your experience sounds more like a coincidence, I've had this tested on multiple systems by now.
That being said, I'm sorry that you had a bad experience, and most LD software IS alpha quality. If you have any additional information (stackstraces / coredumps / what crashed your system) I'm very interested in knowing. You can email those to me at dusted at dusted dot dk.
In addition, running untrusted software with administrator privilegdes (which is required to allow the software to hurt your computer) is never ever adviced, and there would be no reason to run this with admin. privs. as it functions correctly without them.
I am very sorry about the download links being down, it seems my jenkins decided to kill itself, the links are back online now! :(
Very plesant game :)
Very interesting concept, though, java was surely pushed beyond it's limits here ;)
This is awesome! By far the funniest entry I've tried yet! Great use of the theme!
Very cool! I like the happy surreal minimalistic graphics and mood in the game, and it was very nicely laid out ^_^ Great humor too!
Absolutely beautiful! Very stylish, with a good mechanic.
Nice first entry! And it would also have been a great 10th entry! I like the atmosphere in the game.
I liked the graphics, and controls works great too :)
Love the colors and graphics graphics style!
Strange stuff! Did like it though ^_^
hi, thank you for telling me my link was broken :)
You've got a really cool game there! Very moody and the "sepia like" colors fit so very well! It has a really eerie atmosphere and was quite an experience to play! :)
Nice job, I enjoyed it! :) Works in wine by the way :)
Linux version: You need to rename 1bitWar_Data to Data for this to work (strace helped me)
Nice work! I enjoyed the splatter! ^_^
Very nice indeed!
Good looking game. I think it's really neat to use proceadurally generated levels, just coming up with the idea takes a lot of effort, implementing it as well as you did takes even more. :)
Great idea and well implemented! :)
Great to see someone making an engine from scratch! And you're doing it in pure software it seems, that's really something!
If you ever feel like adding 3D objects (I suggest sprites for this kind of engine, they are MUCH faster to draw and more forgiving to implement), take a look at the .obj format, it's very simple for a 3D file format, and both the .obj file (raw 3D data) and .mtl (material description) are plaintext and well documented. :)
Moody and cool looking! Very interesting puzzles too! I like that you did not explain it to people. This is how games used to be: Sit down and figure it out. :)
Nice use of the theme and solid mechanics :)
Great mod! Beautiful game! Strange and interesting mechanic!
I liked the graphics and atmosphere, I think the idea is interesting :)
Awesome!
Awesome mechanics!
Yay, fishies! ^_^ There's a certain zen about it ^_^
I did consider playing it, and since it's made in a way so that it runs fine in wine, I AM playing it, and I'm also liking it! :)
Linux users will need to rename res/laserskott.wav to res/laserSkott.wav - The filesystem is case-sensitive, so it will fail to start.
That being said, it's a pretty game, I liked the effect on the gridlines, reminds me of.. CRT's ^_^
Very cool idea and neatly implemented! :)
Thanks for telling me my link was broken :)
Great game you made, having played a lot of old consoles, the graphics reminds me of something from a better (and simpler) time, the gameplay itself also works very well :)
Mechanics in this is plain awesome, and the graphics lend themselves well to the theme
Beautiful game! Works in WINE, sounds are really fitting too, and it's pretty darn difficult!
Amazing work! The graphics and gameplay are awesome and it's nice take on the theme too!
Neat bossfight :P
Cool game!
It's pretty difficult ^_^
Really nice use of conways game of life, well implemented and nice looking, good job! :)
This works flawlessly in WINE on linux. I like the mechanics.
Nice looking game, and good puzzle idea :)
Hah! I ate 8 cookies! I got fat -_-
Loving The Incredible Machine, this is right up my alley! :)
This is pretty fun! :D
I'm not too big on text-adventures, but I did enjoy the story in this one and made it to (one of the) ending(s?) :)
Good use of the theme and straight forward good working gameplay :)
I love the visual style, and the idea is really neat and well executes, definitely the best gameplay I've encountered thus far from LD28 :)
Nice visual style, I got this up and running in my virtual machine :)
Extra points for not using unity. ;)
Wish I could it, but can only run linux and 32 bit windows executables.
Very well done first entry!
Nicely done! Text adventures in Love? Why not ^_^
Awesome pixel art! Really has some potential I think !
It's always a good idea to include either executables or starter scripts so that people can easily run your entry, that said, I did run your entry, and it's a very well made game! I love the visual style ^_^
lovely
Interesting idea, difficult but I think games should be ;)
Very nice! This is a new and interesting take on chain reactions, executed well and with lovely graphics and good implementation! :)
Really nice retro-style graphics and solid idea, with some gameplay-balancing and progression this could easily become a good solid game! =)
Great entry! Lovely graphics and fun mechanics! :)
Cream soda is awesome!
I think you did a nice job! Java is a good choice as it allows the game to be single-file multi-platform. I should do Java too.. :)
The music is neat, and the game works well, though I died before getting to kill anyone, but I'll try again now :D
I like the raycasting ^_^
Well done, good mechanics and nice sound :)
Love the lights and colors ^_^
Really nice! Fun and funky art!
Cool game! :)
Good concept and well done! Good amount of content too!
Interesting concept! :D I like the graphics too.
I'm a sucker for the graphics! Nicely done!
