Wooooow that control is freakin' fast!

Wooooow that control is freakin' fast!
The scond ugly game that I love :D good concept!
A bit slow, and graphics suffers from me, but a solid entry overall!
HAHA this is hilarious! :D all5!
At least, the graphics is so bad that it's funny...
Overall: great stuff! Glad to see that Hackfield is not the only hacking-related game in LD27! Please, expand it if you can!
Innovation: slighty original but doesn't seem to be new.
Fun: Short, and AI seems to be simple. Gameplay was so simple that I didn't have to use abilities. I fell in love with the gameplay complexity, though.
Theme: five.
Graphics: neat, nice, purist, and clear.
Audio: N/A
Humor: N/A
Mood: well, I didn't really get the feeling of hacking. This is the weakest part of the game, but I can forgive it, actually.
Couldn't run, it writes that can't found "MSVCR110.dll" or whatever.
Overall: great game with nice and simple graphics, cant-get-out-of-my-head musc and real challange! My current favourite!
Innovation: even the name is original - what to say more? absolutely original concept, with challenging implementation!
Fun: couldn't stop playing this! (...until level5, which seemed to be too hard :D)
Theme: do levels in 10 seconds repeatedly. A bit more than the first thoughts, so it's also highly rated.
Graphics: loved the spinning pixelstars! Menu is way too simple, ingame textures are too few, but fits perfectly for the game! I especially love the player and the hologram sprite.
Audio: two soundtracks! TWO SOUNDTRACKS IN A LD48 GAME, DAMNIT!
Humor: menuface is funny, and even music implements some humorous factor without any exact sign of being humorous.
Mood: maybe the weakest point. it's just a game. perfect for that, but still just a game. and no more.
Too hard for me, but I love the concept, the minimalgraphics, and being plot-oriented!
-2 for not being able to restart even the whole game. Otherwise, would have been cool I think.
Overall: amazing! I assume maximum 1 hour of gameplay, but after that, it may be boring. Perfect for an LD48 game anyway! 4/5
Innovation: runner game with limited resources. Not that limited usually, but concept is pretty simple. 2/5
Fun: Absolute joy, but exponentially decreasing by the time. Keeps me playing anyway. 3/5 (but 4 also wouldn't be too much)
Theme: perfectly covers the first thought of people about "10 seconds". 5/5
Graphics: no way to give less than the max! This pencildrawn-style is perfectly awesome no matter that either if you actually did it by hand or in computers. I loved it even in Machinarium. 5/5
Audio: no matter where did you get it, still fits to the game. Other sounds are also good. No reason to give less than the max. 5/5
Humor: I can't see any of them in it. 1/5
Mood: steampunk. With pencil graphics and violin music. No need to say anything else. 5/5
Overall: entertaining but suffers from mistakes in several areas.
Innovation: time-based collecting game. Not so original.
Fun: keeps me playing! Interesting stuff.
Theme: 10 seconds maps. Perfect.
Graphics: not the best to be honest. Especially because of the lack of animations.
Audio: just a few, but about to be enough. At least it has. Lack of music isn't that bad.
Humor: no humor.
Mood: just a game.
Some better graphics and a life-counter would have made this game even more better, but still good as it is. Nice job!
Title screen is empty and nothing happens, when I try to click or anything.
Too, too, TOO SLOW! Awesome game overall, but this is one of the worst ways to use the theme. I'm too impatient to wait for every rounds.
Also, I don't know how to win. But concept is good, fun is high, and graphics are simple&nice!
Too short, but every other aspects of the game is outstanding!
Amazing in every aspects! The idea is absolutely original, the fun factor is so high that I can't stop playing (even though it' the type of game that is f*ckin' hard for me), the use of the theme is outstanding, the graphics is magnificent but also moderate, background ambient music is great for its purpose, and the mood is absolute Portal-esque!
The first perfect game between those I've tried so far. Congratulations!
PS.: I can remember you from Twitter when you posted a shot about the first map. I asked that "Unity?", if you can remember too ;P
Amazing concept, but it dies when you realize that you can cut all wires in the middle, absolutely isolating the C4 from the source.
Does it have an end? Magnificent game by the way!
Can't see the point of walkable places above the main track. I love it anyway. Minimalistic and enjoyable. Extra point that this is easy and ALSO endless!
Overall: one of the best concepts with helluva hard levels. Congatulations, nice job! Actually, being a 3D game added at least +0.5 star.
Innovation: 10 seconds, but not from your own point of view & you have to keep it taking slower. Great!
Fun: ARGH so hard! Entertaining because of the concept anyway.
Theme: well, either way, you have 10 seconds to go on. ;)
Graphics: some dumb graphics...hm...silly menu...arial font...hm...'kay...WHAT?! YOU HAVE PROGRAMMED A 3D ENGINE IN 48 HOURS?! Also, love the using of 2D sprites in the 3D area.
Audio: nothing special, but also nothing bad.
Humor: Player sprite made me laugh.
Mood: not atmospheric, but as usual, it's not the kind of game that should be.
Freakin' MAGNIFICENT! So perfect in every aspects and so atmospheric and has so many feeings that...ehw...God, I can't even explain it!
All-5, that's enough maybe. =)
Addictive and simple! Love the music, too.
I'm sorry to say, but this game is terrible. No sounds, no music, awful ouofplace graphics (background pixels are OK), and not even fun.
My computer is too weak for this game. It runs with 15 FPS on these settings.
I got 9 spheres in 88 seconds anyway, to I'm trying to rate.
Overall: entertaining for a while, with good music and fancy graphics, but gameplay becomes exponentially boring. Definitely not a bad entry, but for me, it's far from the win. 3/5
Innovation: you collect balls in similar rooms. 1/5
Fun: you collect balls in similar rooms. 1/5
Theme: theme is obviously involved. 5/5
Graphics: shadows, particles, textures lighting, etc., a lot of fancy stuff, supported by Unity! 5/5
Audio: I have to agree that if this is your first music, then it's great! 4/5 because of the lack of other sounds, though. Fortunately, it doesn't really miss.
Humor: nothing to explain. 1/5
Mood: a bit dark. Almost nothing, but compared to game mechanics, there's a smaller miracle that it even has. 2/5
Overall: addictive evolution-type game. The fun saves the whole thing.
Innovation: not the first time, when a game with this concept is made, but still enjoyable.
Fun: instafive.
Theme: you have 10 seconds. Nothing special.
Graphics: menu texts are horrible, remind me of CilpArt texts from Microsoft Word (or whatever, can't remember which program used them), the rest is minimal but OK.
Audio: one constantly repeated music. At least it's not annoying.
Humor: no.
Mood: neither.
Didn't really get it, but that is great!
Overall: the possible winner of "Humor" category?
Innovation: Modified "upgrade-and-run-forever" game. Partially original.
Fun: start is confusing but then, you can't stop!
Theme: nothing to blame.
Graphics: awfully bad! Just look at the intro! So, sadly 1/5, but who cares if every other aspects of the game is adorable?!
Audio: silly and hilarious sounds everywhere.
Humor: *warning! variable overflow*
Mood: ehm...what should I feel? I mean, I don't have any pianos. nvm
Not so good, especially for a Jam entry, but theme, humor and procedural maps save it.
@small trouble: in the description I menioned even for nitrocrime, I attached pictures about the tiles the tutorial is talking about - exactly for being able to recognise them. If you can't find, then wait - even though map is resorting, you don't have to hurry.
@XmmmX: oh, hello Mr. "2d sprites in 3d world"! :D thanks for the reply! About innovation and mood: Uplink have done almost the same things, and that game inspired me, so...I don't know...maybe Hackfield is just a cheap ripoff of Uplink.
Either way, it was worth to create.
@epicSpeedTurtle: thanks for the review! Glad to see another Uplink enthusiatic.
@TobiasW: I tried to do what I could for giving an exact description about game mechanics. I definitely wanted to avoid adding a regular "PLAZ HALP MEH!" menu, so I built it into the story. However, if you get into the game, doesn't matter how hard is it. Or am I wrong? Did if decrease the fun-factor?
The number of logs about your activity shows, how the number of antivirus scanfields increase at the next time when the map is regenerated. It doesn't affect the gameplay seriously, since you get 576 tiles and maximum 200 logpoints can be appeared on the screen.
To make the number of reached terminal go up, you have to go through them. Standing on them isn't enough, you have take another step. It's because of the way as the script is triggered. You may notice that exit works on totally the same way.
I know about bugs too; sadly, there's no way for me to fix the "seconds" bug; it works badly only in the executable. I couldn't even encounter any "2 of 0 terminals needed" bugs. Also, at the end I was in hurry, and I became strongly stressful because of issues about intro triggering and setting "seconds" to zero. At last, I made a quick solution, that seemed to be perfect after compiling.
Anyway, I think I'm gonna ask about these malfunction on LOVE forums.
@MarekkPie: Thanks! LOVE link is added. Can't promise windowed version, though.
@BlackBulletIV: you always have time to read the tutorial. The fact that level is changing, doesn't affect you chances to win. Also, map1 tutorial shows the main purpose, map2 the details, map3 too, and so on. What's the problem with it?
Scripting intro was a complete nightmare, there's no way for me to make it skippable. I'm terribly sorry, I know that it can be annoying.
ShellfishGames: okay, it's almost like X-files for me.
- terminals appear only after level 10. Impossible to encounter them before that.
- the only action I added to spacebar is going to the next level, when you are standing on the exit. Impossible to go to main menu by pressing spacebar. Only W,A,S and D allow that, only if you lose.
Most certainly you went to the antivirus field that drops you back to the main menu, since thats counted as "game over".
The exit is a small monitor, that's even brighter than the surrounded blocks. It is showed in the tutorial of the first map
Awesome and hard! :D
Overall: I'm a pixelart enthusiastic and game is enjoyable, but in overall, it can't be called a good game. I respect the effort anyway. Good luck next time!
Innovation: a single time-based platformer. Without the theme, it wouldn't be more than a poorly made platformer.
Fun: Lvl1-13 are easy - I loved the vertical use of boxes. That was surprisingly clever! On Lvl14, boxes doesn't have physics, and going on is impossible.
Theme: you have 10 seconds to finish the level. Kinda general. I felt the lack of a timer to show, how much time you have left, but enjoyable even without it.
Graphics: player looks very nice, but poorly animated. Main screen is OK. Other textures aren't worth even the mention.
Audio: two sounds and an odd menu music. What else I have to say?
Humor: player looks like a derpy kid.
Mood: absolute nothing.
Great stuff, especially for a first game!
Overall: How on Earth it didn't get any comments yet?! This game is outstanding!
Innovation: we've seen some similar game mechanices before already, but to be honest, I enjoy it better than moving silly swarm of viruses...still just 4/5, though.
Fun: seems that never can be boring. Maybe after 3 walkthroughs in a row - 2 wasn't much for me. ;)
Theme: turn-based game for the "10 seconds" rule...wow, man. Just wow.
Graphics: minimal-style, but perfect for this game. Also, this is the way of minimaldesign where I don't feel that I should give -1 because of simplicity, it fits so perfectly here! Still just 4/5, though. Titlescreen is cool by the way.
Audio: titlescreen sounds (music?) should be played ingame.
Humor: titlescreen sounds (music?) made me laugh.
Mood: BACK TO THE MIDDLE AGE!
Overall: minimalistic madness, with addicting gameplay.
Innovation: there are some "find-that-thing-quickly" games already, but now in an overflowing amount, so it may worth a 4.
Fun: CAN'T STOP PLAYING! *m*
Theme: well, you are stricted in 10 seconds...but nothing else. Decide whether if it's enough - for me, it's a 3.
Graphics: background is fancy. Random appearing colorful pixels are fancy. These fancy things works in this game perfectly. But on the other hand, it's still not more can the same colours, instead of any kind of textures.
Audio: few, but enough. 4, for the lack of music.
Humor: no humor. Damn, is this category to important?!
Mood: I'm in space. *m*
Same here!
Overall: my newest favourite in the repertoir! So much awesomeness that I can't even summarize it!
Innovation: robots turn on and off in every 10 seconds...amazing!
Fun: a bit short, but levels are challanging - i could finish all of them with the same tactics, though. (camper-style) Couldn't stop playing it 'til the end.
Theme: instafive.
Graphics: great pixelart work with moderate details. The amount of particles (like robot collapse and projectile particles when hit) makes it 5/5.
Audio: great sound effects, now only some kind of fast actionful music is missing!
Humor: there's no humor. But who cares?!
Mood: You are teh protector!
Honestly, I expected for something irrelevant bad game, but I'm incredibly disappointed - in a good meaning! SUPERFUN GAME!
Graphics is so solid but still works. Reminds me of cel-shading somehow.
Documentation was TL;DR for me, but after I found the shoot button, I could understand the working mechanics.
Somehow, it's not a 5/5 for me, but there's nothing bad in it. And it even has humor, damnit!
Also crashed on the moon :c also, it doesn't fit to the theme very well. However, I fell in love with it, since I CAN CONTROL A DAMN SPACE SHIP! 4 overall, but theme is only 1.
Amazing game concept! I love these "simple-but-you-can't stop playing" games!
I swear expanding it and releasing on Android or any other mobile port would make it famous!
5/5 for innovation, but that's all. To be fair, I won't rate any other aspects of this entry.
Good luck for finishing it!
Bit hard for me, but I like it overall! Judging would be hard though.
Bizarre...also, made my eyes hurt. But not bad!
More levels would be great. But great overall!
Implementation of theme is time-based again...sorry to say but after LD27, which had the theme "10 Seconds", I got sick of similar games! Terribly sorry, but 1 star for theme.
Solid entry, so may deserve a 3 overall, but in fact, the game gives only a little few extras.
I can appreciate it only by words: so go on with game developement! It's promising!
Amazing narratives!
Solid, enjoyable, not hard, glad for narrating the texts!
(and yeah, maybe way less clicking than my game... ;P)
Strongly follows the "heritage" of Mirror's Edge - if it even had :D women as protagonist, her name is a noun (Faith - Hope), she has a sportish outfit, she's running quickly and she have to avoid obstacles :D
So for me, it's a small ME implemented in an endless obstacle game.
Graphics 4, Audio 5, Fun 4, Innovation 2, Mood 3. It's worht for me overall, nice job.
Forgot to mention that I love the variety of switches, it makes the whole stuff challanging!
It has a bit of "minigames from the 90's" feeling for me, and I love it. 5 for Mood. Though, I miss procedurally generated random levels, that would fit to this design kinda well!
Also, I love that hidden squares are discovered in my neighbour even if my way is blocked.
Funny! 4 overall.
Oh Gosh, if you'd know how I love these "deeper" games...
Great concept, decent implementation. I liked it anyway.
Oh I got it: face+color match = disappearing! If only face OR color match = wall!
I swear I couldn't even feel myself in a LD game!
I've seen a post about this game while creating, so now I'm damn interested in trying it out!
After first level: HOLY CRAP, IT SERIOUSLY HAS GRAVITY! I CAN ALREADY FEEL WAY TOO MUCH AMOUNT OF FUN IN THE AIR!
I shouldn't rate graphics in a 48h game that has such precise physics, but I1m gonna do, because it's not even ugly!
great 5 overall for me! In every aspects! (okay, except Mood, but that still deserves a 4)
Wait a minute...!
Your name was familiar for me somehow, and now I just realized that you are the guy who created that "Tower of Pixel" game I spent hours with!
Goddamn glad you are back! You are great!
@AlanZucconi: I think, rating those categories which are bad either for purpose (Humour) or because of the lack of time (mostly Audio) in not ethical. So I don't rate them.
Also, I thought endings were good in that game, my only problem was the lack of reset.
Expand it please! It look so well, and I love the story too!
I've seen your screens about it, let's see that you could do.
Bouncing is funny, graphics are neat, gameplay is promising! But how is it related to the the? Still, 5 overall!
A little bit hard, but definitely enjoyable.
Great concept for a puzzle game! I didn't realized through minutes that I can even rotate!
Addictive! 5 for Fun!
NAME: YOU THERE...LOL!
@PeperBlurt: In fact, I didn't plan this game for a text adventure, but glad you enjoyed it =)
Thank you all!
@scriptorum: No one said that happiness is easy to reach! =) also, I tried to implement more similar metaphorics elements, with more or less success.
@SketchyGalore: thank you, Mr. Baffleman! :D sadly my game is not that "actionful" as yours, but I'm glad you enjoyed it.
@donaldducky: I used an earlier version of LÖVE for creating this, so it was never tested on 0.9 version. Try to get 0.8, that should work IMO.
@ian_snyder: Actually, you're not doing anything else! Squares are metaphoric implementations of aspects of your life, and clicking means taking care of them - consequence: they are getting brighter. Light means happiness and good things in this metaphoric meaning.
@Paco: I think I could get the matter: you miss the real implementation of metaphoric elements. You are perfectly right! I wrote my idead but at the end I couldn't add much to this "click-on-tiles" stuff.
Probably my mistake, I don't want to blame short perioud of time for everything - I'm not even permitted to do so.
Also, thanks for the long-long comment!
@ReactorScram: colons vs. commas - ARGH, damn, my bad grammar! It may be the reason also that you could barely get the texts. I hope you still enjoyed this little game o' mine!
Kinda pointless but enjoyable. Also, nice music and graphics.
I F@CKIN LOVE CHICKENS! FIVE FIVE FIVEEEEE!!4444444!!!!!4!!!
Okay, tbh, it is actually well-implemented, not just only funny and chicken-based.
Minimalistic horror feeling: full of 5*s in a nutshell.
You know what you have to do. Expand it with more levels, maybe even more gameplay elements!
At least: PLEASE!!
You're right, this is not so much. But somehow, this is the kind of "not-so-much" stuff, that I can still strongly enjoy!
That "Mom's of the world, we salute you." sentence should have been added ingame, but the depth of the game is still big compared to the complexity of the gameplay - partially because of the "implementation" of the theme. Also, it looks kinda cute!
You deserve a 4 overall without any doubt.
Great concept; I think you should have displayed on the screen, how many block should have formed the possible biggest form from the same colour. But this (and the lack of other informative HUD elements) is the only mistake I could notice.
Also, I can see some potential in the aspect of expanding this game outside Ludum Dare. The concept is brilliant and has a lot of potential in the aspect of creating harder levels.
Adding the song with an external player is damn creative!
Kinda easy BTW but it's good. For me, an overall 4.
Funny small goodie. Even though I don't have much to do, it still deserves a solid 3 overall!
Not so easy to learn, but after that, yery addictive! Graphics are also nice.
Theme is good, Mood and Innovation are great!
5 for me overall, if I don't rate Audio.
Let's be honest: control is awful: I got stuck on everything!
Graphics are nice but what's the point of building a lighthouse in a such small canyon?
Atmosphere and music is also good.
4 for me overall.
First thoughts: DAT THEME...DAT MUSIC...step1, try not to cry, step2, cry a lot...instant 5 for Mood, without hesitation!
This is way the most powerful part of this game. Graphics are enough for this game, music fits perfectly for mood.
Not even sure if I should even rate Fun in this case.
A great-great 5 overall.
Missing link.
Surprisingly addictive, should be top100 in Fun category!
DAT MUSIC! INSTAFIVE for both Audio and Humor!
Writing out ammo number doesn't make any sense since we only have one :D
Damnit, too short! You should really expand it!
Doesn't much sense, but I loved it. 4 overall.
Deeply, truly, simply, symbolistically awesome! I'm speechless that you could put so many feeling into a game without words.
Can get through the third screen. But at least it has gameplay.
Graphics are amazing, mood too. Audio is not bad. I'm gonna rate them.
A fast and actionful shooter that uses quite a few colour, but fantastic sprites, has a strange but strong mood, has only an endless score-hunting mode and that is always going to provide me some minutes of fun!
A big 5 overall!
The first thing I thought is the Anthrax song with the same title.
Anyway, I really enjoyed it! The story is kinda great, with some humour-factor - I love that gameplay was way different than I expected: instead of saving the world in an epic way, we are doing paperball-fight behind frontlines!
It's perfect in both the way of implementation and in the aspect of parody-esque critics of politicians and society!
However, at the last levels game freezed much times so I couldn't finish it.
Innovation: 5
Fun: 4
Theme: 5
Graphics: 4
Audio: 5 (great music!)
Humor: 5 (shaded but also strong)
Mood: 5
It deserves a 5 absolutely.
Oh God, I haven't used Stencyl for a very long time! I didn't even know that 3.0 is already released! And dangit, you can do awesome stuffs with it - just take a look at this game!
As you tried my game, I'm gonna do the same!
Let's be honest, this puzzle concept is surprisingly great! I can see that explaining its working method in English was a little bit hard for you, but fortunately, it's easy to understand.
Graphics are minimal, but perfectly enough for this thing.
Overall: 3/5
INnovation: 5/5
Fun: 4/5
Theme: 3/5
Graphics: 2/5 (not good overall, sorry)
Audio: N/A (let's be fair: I assue you didn't want to add them)
Humor: N/A (same)
Mood: N/A (same)
Okay, after finishing it, I must fix Fun into 5/5, it has really lot of maps!
First game I try in the rating phase! Let's see...
Maybe I'm the only one, but the atmosphere strongly touched me. Becaue the graphics is obviously retro-style, but if we watch is closer, even the gameplay, and the music has a perfect NES-game feeling. And the music is is the best in this aspect...I can't really explain...it brings back memories for me about those games I played back in the day on my Famicon.
Because of this, both Audio and Mood are insta-fives!
Graphics are nice: I couldn't see many of them, but those work perfectly! So yeah, this only deserves a five.
I didn't want to play through the whole game, but I love that it promises a lot of playing time. Also, I enjoyed the not-too-hard but still not too easy tasks, so Fun is a 4.
YOGO...life? Theme is still 4, anyway.
Well, even though I love these exploration-based, "explore every screens" style games, this is not so new, so Innovation is just a 3.
Overall it's still 5 for me, and I may be the only one with this rating, I still hope you'll be in top200, because you should as I feel.
@kyyrma: I experienced that both other people and myself love longer reviews, so I try to do that if I can.
Hm, one minute? After LD27 (10 seconds) it's not the best choice but IDC, because as I mentioned, the fact that even gameplay and music are retro-style, it saved the game. :D
@kyyrma: and sorry for double posting but I must highlight again that the music seriously touched me.
Full-5!
Surreal, almost scary experience. Check my video for further opinion.
Addictive! Check my video for further opinion.
Great game, though a bit hard. Also, you're mentioned in my LD29 gameplay video.
Great in every aspects! Also, you appear in one of my LD29 gameplay videos.
Another game into my TOP category!
A little bit raw. But I'm still speechless. So deep atmosphere...also tells a lot even without words.
Incredibly awesome!
And yeah, indeed it's a bit like Another World.
Glad to see another LOVE game!
The music is awesome, the gameplay is catchy, mood is heavy and dark.
Deserves a full of 5.
Also, you must know that "Game.lua:496" gets an error kinda often. I have no idea what happens, but it got a nil value sometimes instead of a Quad.
Ah, sorry the late answer...so, I use LOVE 0.9.0 to run the game, but even the Windows version gives errors.
Full of actions, and I can even play as a girl if I want! Yeah, great stuff!
Nice little game, with cool concept.
Check my video about further explanation.
The protagonist is so damn cute *w*
Also, the music is incredibly catchy.
A little bit raw, but definitely enjoyable.
GOREFEST!!!!!!!
Surprisingly funny game BTW, deserves more than 3/5 for Fun.
I'd be happy if I could restart only the level I screwed up. Nice game BTW
Fantastic game.
Watch my video for some gameplay-commentary!
I couldn't mine any minerals. :/
Silly but almost cute graphics, great concept, disappointingly short. Check my video about further opinions.
Annoying after a point, but I love it overall.
Didn't really understand the game mechanics, but playing it was a huge fun.
Way too few levels... :(
Though, the engine itself is a truly amazing one! It has a lot of potential, I swear!
Addictive! Control is a little bit slow, but that's the biggest problem.
Absolute 5, even if not outstanding.
Kind of enjoyable compared to a prototype game.
The first game I rate in LD29.
I though about the pix that I'm gonna be the evil :/ still a nice survival game BTW with amazing graphics and music.
Couldn't run it properly, because of lags. Though the part I saw was promising!
Main screen with that music was truly beautiful. I absolutely loved that.
Suprisingly original concept, loved it.
Didn't really get the point, but looks promising.
BTW I've already rated it previously, I just forgot to leave a comment, sorry for that.
Some kind of aim would have been great. Still an amazing entry.
Damn great concept!
Amazing in every aspects, especially Theme!
When I saw the actual game, I expected for something raw, but it went better than I thought.
I love that I can fly.
Amazing narration.
Yes, I know about the buggy ending. I'm gonna fix it ASAP.
Tifu: you have to know that I absolutely suck at finding out logic puzzles. You're right, time may help, but that doesn't mean that I'd be significantly better I'd have more time.
Ending will be repaired soon, I promise - I just have enough of updating since this is the second one today.
Penguincat: thanks for mentioning the mistakes.
Fortunately, the game has way less bugs than I expected, but I could not eliminate the "dead blocks sometimes still stopping the laser", even though I tried.
The time you need to wait would have been decreased easily, I just didn't expect for that it's gonna be too long.
About puzzles: I suck at making puzzles, but I wanted to try making a logic game, as far as it may improve me and this skill.
@AtkinsSJ: thank you! It was my primary aim. I feel that a game must be complete.
@rujo: it's OK, the matter is that your game was polished, not an unfinished stuff. Thank you BTW
@Moosefly: the funny thing is that even I don't know, why the stored maps are flipped :D I used the same technique for write it out that I used in my first attempt, and I still didn't want to change that because of bad experiences in this field.
Thanks for trying to fix my bug, though the way you did is still not a perfect solution, as you mentioned. I still appreciate your attempts and that you even checked the source code. I'll definitely find out something in the future, when I remake the game - if there's gonna be a demand for that.
Also, I know that there are silly things, but I'm rather a kind of "closeted-into-my-room-and-make-game-without-knowledge-about-gamers" type of guy, so I suck at making user experience things, such as proper control... :D
Fortunately, both controls and audio can be changed easily, so I'm gonna give the player an option in the future for that.
Also, without S, how would you be able to descend on the rope? :P
Thanks for your comment anyway.
@HybridMind: I suck at making logic puzzles.
@Moosefly: yes, but you can't shoot the beam while falling down. :P
@Moosefly: haha, you're right, I didn't even think of that.
@ZXYer: It's actually just a hidden homage; the main enemy of my LD#27 game (Hackfield) was also called Anubis.
Extremely laggy for me. Also, I can't see the point of the game, but somehow I still love it.
A little bit hard, but I love the mood!
"i have a fucking galaxy to run." LOL
Hard, but enjoyable and humorous! Love it!
THE WINNER OF MOOD CATEGORY
SH*T, I MEANT HUMOUR CATEGORY
Terribly laggy for me.
I laughed as hell when I played it! Check my video if you can.
Hard to control and to play as well, but I love the concept.
Check my video about further explanation.
Short and atmospheric with nice graphics. Sometimes seems to be a little bit raw, but it doesn't kill the game itself.
Delay in control killed the fun for me (Win version didn't run XP)
Check my video in which I tried it if you want.
A little bit raw and hard, but enjoyable.
AMAZING IN EVERY ASPECTS! Check my video for further opinion.
I love that cute girl voicedub. :D
Great concept, decent implementation.
Not bad!
In 5 hours, it's a pretty amazing stuff! Not so much, but also doesn't make me disappointed.
Not a big deal, but definitely 5 for the humor-factor.
Bizarre.
Can I "win"?
Dark, simple, and a little bit buggy. Not bad though
I love how everything turns around as I move around the planet.
Greetings from Hungary!
Great!
Challenging!
Creative way of showing the town as falling down 3D blocks in the background
Solid, but not a big deal. Check my video about my further opinion.
Great and solid arcade game! I'm especially happy that it's another LÖVE2D game.
Great, polished, and beautiful game. Love it.
...especially when you run against your no-existing past clones, and their moves becomes completely chaotic. Hell, I'd even check its mathematical background.
Loved it!
I can't go on after getting the ID, but I love the concept. A bit underrated game.
A lttile bit laggy on my PC.
Extremely laggy, but I can see the idea behind it.
Please optimize it and I'd even pay for an extended version.
5 for audio because of the way it's used.
Ah, another Stencyl game! I will never forget the days I spent on it.
The game itself is beautiful and great. I love the sandbox-esque nonlinear map.
Ahhh, good ol' Motherload... I missed a text skipping key though.
I love this genre, thanks for creating this game!
And don't mind the graphics, I think it's pretty great for a game like this.
Not a big deal with the theme, but a solid and enjoyable game. After Curse of Mellon, I didn't really expect something bad.
Ilove this genre.
THAT JUMPING ANIMATION!
I love this game BTW, maybe the best I've tried so far. A truly beautiful and enjoyable one!
Needless to say anything. Masterpiece!
Another solid and great LÖVE game! Little bit ahrd for me though, but hey, that's just me.
A little bit unpolished, but plays and looks well!
Great! Simple concept, yet original! Love it!
Damn sick, and still enjoyable! Strongly enjoyable! Amazing fusion of the two!
And yeah, amazing graphics of course. I have to say I truly loved it.
Original was way too short, but basically, the concept is great! I love everything related to hacing anyway.
@Hempuli: possibly because of the compiled Windows version. Don't worry, I swear it's not a virus.
Ah, rojo, glad to see you again! Also glad you enjoyed this small silly randomness.
@jahmaican: no, it has not!
@magmaCrab: Glad you like it! For the res: sorry, there's hard to satisfy everyone. In LD#27, 1280x1024 fullscreen was the problem, think of that it's way not as bad! Also, you ca check those linesin the sourc code! ;)
Couldn't play wih sound but still great! Yep, a little bit boring but maximalized the theme as possible!
Honestly loved it! Addictive, and a little bit hard though. I almost wish I had a similar idea.
Addictive!
Nice idea!
Little but hard, but nice idea and graphics! Cool game.
I love these games, and the graphics makes it complete! But yeah, you're right, it's not easy.
I can see what other did and said. I've always loved such a game. 5 in everything!
Helluva lot of fun!
Amazing! Starting from corner is strange yet beautifully simple. 5 for Innovation and Fun, 4 for Theme and Overall.
Quite mediocre, but I appreciate the theme and the raycasting!
Thanks for rating my game, now it's my turn!
Solid, but somehow, still interesting game. At first, a typical puzzle, but somehow, I feel the execution something new.
All-4 in major categories (O-I-F-T) for moderate, above-the-average fun.
Very hard and ugly, but the Tron-like mood makes it something acceptable.
Thanks for reviewing my game - now it's my turn.
At first I couldn't understand, how it works, but when I catched it, the game became amazing. I especially love the way I automatically clear out shapes when I'm even only a bit close.
5 for Fun.
Thanks for rating my game! Now it's my turn.
Not sure when I saw a game last time that made me rate 5 for Innovation within 30 seconds, but you did it! Amazing idea, which is addictive enough as well!
Bonus satisfy for restart button, this game REALLY needs!
Bonus note: replayed and analyzed it by trying various possibilites. I must say, this is a golden example of perfect game desing: small complexity, extremely huge depth. Problems can be solved in several ways, not often as it's intended but still working, giving a lot of possibilities to explore.
5/5 in every main aspects (O-I-F-T), and even Mood gets a 4.
FIRST BLOOD! - First game I try and rate in this submission. (led by your nice comment, thank you!)
I'm truly surprised, a bit hectic, but in a good meaning, because I'm surprised.
Simple Tetris, with a twist that blew my mind!
3 overall, because it's kinda average, but I hope you won't consider it something negative.
Definitely 5 for Innovation and 4 four Theme.
Beatiful, a bit addictive and truly atmospheric! Nice job!
Simple execution, but creative! The visual unity is missing but I'm not blaming it in case of a 48hr game.
