LD28 — You Only Get One

Beaver's Last Log by hadesfury 2013-12-17T23:19:00

Good job with the art and sounds! Both the hand-drawn art and the 3D models are really good for such a short timeframe. This is a nice little game. I died at the end, though, before without a lot of foreshadowing.

The Poncho Duelers by midgard 2014-01-06T04:53:00

Neat mechanic, was difficult to tell who I was in the beginning.

Dream forever, live once by Volute 2013-12-17T23:24:00

Beautiful graphics, neat idea but there was only a small pocket of time where I was truly having fun - the beginning was too easy and then it got too hard too quickly.

And yeah, would've loved to have had music in a rhythm game.

Number Factory by Paul Sinnett 2013-12-22T03:24:00

It's an interesting concept, definitely! I guess you didn't have the time to implement generation of new numbers, but it's a start.

Of Life and Death by jsspiegel 2013-12-17T03:36:00

I loved it! I like the way the interactive narrative was implement, the music went nicely with it, the story was great, the choices were great, the representation of opening doors and leaving behinds others was great too.

Great job!

KOSMOTROT by Todd Luke 2013-12-17T22:03:00

Interesting color scheme, and charming music. The sound effects were rather painful to listen to, though, very sharp and grating.

1 year in space by Follett 2013-12-17T03:37:00

It's a bit confusing at first, and the large window size doesn't fit too well on smaller screens, but this is a really interesting submission with a nice style!

The Last Match by Ashtom 2013-12-19T20:21:00

Web version: I pressed space to enter, but it brought me to a black screen and never loaded.

Like a Boss by Skulls 2013-12-19T07:07:00

Interesting approach; I enjoyed figuring out the boss fights without having any weapons.

Hatsumei Mage by OrangeeZ 2013-12-19T19:11:00

Neat idea, but when I typed shields after my first sword battle, I didn't get any shields?

Also, the animation for the mage to come to the next battle takes a bit too long.

And lastly - I've tried a bunch of various words but can't figure out what to write apart from sword or shield, which greatly diminishes the fun.

You Only Get One Boat by cacciatc 2013-12-19T20:01:00

Level 1 bug: I lose in 2 seconds, before any of us boats have reached the buoy (this is after failing a couple of times).

Also, the starting beeps are bit too loud for their high-pitched nature.

My Dad's the Grinch by xel 2013-12-17T18:53:00

A bit too easy for me, but would be nice for kids.

I found the hints to be a super awesome system! Also, nice humour sprinkled throughout.

Great level of polish, keep it up!

Death From Above by AlexFili 2014-01-04T15:34:00

While I get how this is connected to the theme, it's too easy to just fire off random shots and hope they hit, since your buddy comes along and gives you a new quiver almost instantly.

Digital Toilet World by Alex Higgins 2013-12-19T21:43:00

Can't play, mac

One Man Fire Brigade by bvanschooten 2014-01-04T15:40:00

Controls felt a little strange, like I would sometimes stop moving when near walls. It ended up being really, really difficult. Also, having WASD be attack and arrows be movement felt really weird, as most games I've played with a similar setup use the reverse.

Climber by Kimau 2013-12-17T21:42:00

Audio definitely would've given this a huge boost in terms of atmosphere.

Also, climbing up and down gets a bit tedious.

Good effort though.

Braid 2 by magicdweedoo 2013-12-19T05:08:00

This is actually pretty funny. Nothing special mechanically or thematically, but I definitely appreciate the humor!

Xcape by syawqy 2013-12-19T06:05:00

While this doesn't seem to clearly match the theme, grabbing new ships like this is a pretty interesting and fun mechanic, and the gameplay pacing seems good. One thing to note: when I die by reaching the bottom of the screen, at least for me, I am still able to grab new ships, even after the game over message appears. Good job!

Who cares YOGO? by bukt 2013-12-17T20:25:00

The main mechanic is simple and fun, and the physics do the job well!

YOGO PATH by cesisco 2013-12-19T06:37:00

This is a neat twist on the idea of puzzle-platforming, and the game looks and sounds pretty good! Good job!

A Trip To The Moon by Dayko 2013-12-17T07:34:00

Loaded partway for me and then just failed to load :(

The Labyrinth of Keys by Martze 2013-12-24T06:41:00

For some reason the game always starts so high in my screen that I can't grab the top bar and move it around. Otherwise, though, this is an interesting entry - clearly a large and expansive game world, but it's not at all clear what I as a player should be doing once I lose the starting key.

You Only Get Won by ChrisMingay 2013-12-17T20:24:00

A nice mix of the funny and the melancholic, interesting and punny take on the theme, and the audiovisuals are pretty cute. Good job!

You Only Get One Limb by vapgames 2013-12-17T21:04:00

You have some really nice art in here! Your take on the theme is funny and really challenging, in that clumsy QWOP sort of way, yet the result is even more interesting. Good job!

Bacterias by Webravenz 2013-12-17T08:02:00

This game has some really nice audio design, slightly alien and slightly melancholy. The hand-drawn microbial art style and the filter effects are really interesting too!

Energy Defender by CogComp 2013-12-22T03:20:00

It's a pretty fun game, all things considered, though it could use some audiovisual polish. Also, the difficulty ramp was a little weird - I quickly got all the upgrades and everything seemed easy for several levels, until suddenly I was overwhelmed and killed despite not being able to get any more upgrades. Overall though, good job!

Snowball Carnage by Moist 2013-12-19T21:23:00

Can't play, mac

The Last Planet by Xaychru 2013-12-17T06:33:00

Wow, this is some really nice visual design! I liked the humorous intro, the gameplay is straightforward and easy to grok, and the audio does an excellent job at supporting your visuals, gameplay and mood. This is a coherent and really enjoyable entry. Good job!

Dangerous pursuit by LemonTree 2013-12-17T02:44:00

Music in the main menu would have helped.

Adorable graphics.

Granny Loosetooth and the Toothfairies by KayZ 2013-12-17T21:16:00

It wasn't obvious enough that food could be placed 'around a corner'.

As a player, I presume that the characters can only see 'realistically', and so 5 times, I tried just putting the carrots where she'd be able to see them.

This 'trial and error' method of learning the mechanics is frustrating.

Granny Loosetooth and the Toothfairies by KayZ 2013-12-17T21:18:00

It wasn't obvious enough that food could be placed 'around a corner'.

As a player, I presume that the characters can only see 'realistically', and so 5 times, I tried just putting the carrots where she'd be able to see them.

This 'trial and error' method of learning the mechanics is frustrating.

The different stats of hunger, looseness and calories was neat, but felt like they didn't fit together all that well.

I appreciated the level design, however.

Nirvana [web] by Erik Örjehag 2013-12-19T07:30:00

Have skippable text, particularly in a game where time matters. Also, the gameplay was kind of tedious.

The Hotdog Parable by SunShiranui 2013-12-17T18:43:00

At a few points I suddenly ran into negative money and wasn't sure why? I hadn't spent any money for it to happen, which was frustrating.

At one point the left side bar went behind the buttons on the right side bar. The hamburger philosophy button also gets hidden as it's over too far on that side of the screen.

It took me a while to realise that 'researching hamburgers' meant purchasing the hamburger button - I thought that was a one-off upgrade.

Having a pause button would also help immensely in a time-based game.

Overall a job well done, the operatic music was a really nice touch and I like the way the day/night animations were implemented. Good work guys!

GeoEatRical by mamoniem 2013-12-17T19:31:00

I couldn't figure out the point of the game, which means I couldn't understand the challenge, which means I couldn't find the fun.

Neat preloader though.

Senile Santa, cute kids & ruthless Rudolph by Pol 2013-12-17T03:26:00

At first I had no idea what was going on, but it quickly became hilarious. Good job! Once the kids start beating each other up, though, maybe let the player know they can go see Rudolph for help, since he was inactive at the start.

Rabocheye Nazvaniye (Working Title) by Idioscopic 2013-12-20T15:23:00

It wasn't clear how to interact with most of the menus, or perhaps they were broken. My name always seemed to include "Type Away!", I couldn't buy anything and what the poster/price menu was for was unclear. Nice mood though.

Fanny Pack Adventure Dungeon by nickworks 2013-12-17T07:05:00

It was a bit annoying to only be able to attack downwards with some (all?) of the weapons, but for the most part this is pretty good.

Tank Blast by asimilon 2013-12-17T02:39:00

The physics were extremely wonky, and I frequently became permanently stuck in the terrain.

Flowing Death Fist by turnA 2013-12-17T03:31:00

Interesting concept and cool take on the theme! But things seem to chaotic for the player's decisions to be really meaningful.

Skycrafters by Inso 2013-12-19T07:52:00

Web 404

LoneStranger's YOH1B by LoneStranger 2013-12-19T05:56:00

The physics parameters and viewing angle made coordinating one's movement pretty difficult, and the mechanics were really simple, but it was still pretty fun.

Space Escape Catastrophe by Liam :D 2013-12-17T02:59:00

It wasn't at all clear what to do at the start of the game, but once I understood that I needed to click then type, it got pretty fun!

An Ashwick Winter by killerstarbunny 2013-12-17T22:15:00

Takes a bit too long in between scenes - having long periods of black screen loses my attention as a player.

The choice of music is good.

Penguins Gone Mad by _zulli 2013-12-17T22:59:00

This is a neat little game, and I liked the bow-charging mechanic. You could have had more enemy variety more quickly, though; and the default size of the browser player was too tall for my screen, meaning I was unable to see the bottom of the game.

Oneitis by mmickyman 2013-12-24T06:47:00

It's a pretty interesting take on the theme, but it could use some fleshing out with more gameplay options and variety, and some more audiovisual feedback wouldn't have gone amiss.

Inquisition by drakekin 2014-01-04T07:08:00

Running Firefox 26 and it didn't work for me - the page just stayed black no matter what I did, except for the banner up top.

Inquisition by drakekin 2014-01-04T07:09:00

Also, I just tried Chrome as well, still not working.

Food Survival by van noctar 2013-12-17T03:10:00

There's no way to get out of credits and back to the main menu if credits is clicked from main menu.

Audio in menu would help.

The collision on the coins could be extended forwards a bit - sometimes when I expected to be able to collect them, I couldn't.

The pause picture was nice.

The theme could have been stronger (was it, you only get one box of fries?)

Christmas Puzzle Nightmare by uRLgR3y 2013-12-17T02:54:00

The 'success' sound for switching the blocks around successfully is a bit too loud in relation to the music playing - especially since it's high pitched, so that's unpleasant to the ears.

I really enjoyed the puzzles - well done!

Catch the Bullet by disease 2013-12-20T15:40:00

Also count not get it to run; nothing seems to happen after the Open File prompt.

There Can Only Be One... Ninja! by JeeshusChrist 2013-12-19T20:29:00

Cat Gentlemans Play: Insult Spinner 10 Cents by RobotLovesKitty 2013-12-17T06:30:00

This was really funny! The controls are kind of difficult, but I get that you were going for a QWOP-like feel, and that works too. The theme wasn't very obvious, though.

1 Shot 1 Kill by BadPaul34 2013-12-19T20:15:00

I couldn't figure out how to shoot, and couldn't go back to the main menu to check.

One Pesky Yellow Orb by joe40001 2013-12-19T07:37:00

It was too difficult to catch the orb.

The mouse control was also too sensitive - almost gave me a headache.

It was also difficult to orientate myself at the beginning.

Pan-Dimensional Roboids by PapaGrimbles 2013-12-17T21:04:00

This is a pretty fun game, and a neat sort of blend between action and resource-management. The audiovisuals could use some polish, particularly the sound effects, and the game could use a lot more enemy and terrain variety, but the mechanics are interesting. This could be a solid prototype for something bigger!

One Legged Jonny by ChuiGum 2013-12-19T03:43:00

So I managed to play the game, but the mechanics were pretty simple, or at least appeared so, and it seemed rather difficult to make any kind of progress. The one leg also didn't really come through in the gameplay, at least not as far as I got.

Experience Legion by calimeraw 2014-01-04T17:45:00

I think I might have seen somebody else in the game, but I'm not sure. Perhaps because I'm not so familiar with the genre, I had a hard time figure out whether I was actually attacking anything or not when I clicked on the attack button.

Travesty by Jon Fischer 2013-12-19T21:26:00

Looks pretty but can't play, mac

You Only Get 1 by Monoquartz 2013-12-17T06:43:00

This is a pretty punny/funny twist on the theme, and the math mechanic is interesting to boot! There could be a bit more in-game instruction as to how the player switches between multiplication and division, though.

Race The One by HybridMind 2014-01-06T04:48:00

Not sure if it's because I'm on a mac, but pressing '1' for me did nothing, despite refreshing several times and hitting the key in different ways (tapping, holding it down).

One Trick Pony by GreaseMonkey 2013-12-24T06:34:00

When I died the camera seemed to rush off into space and show only nothingness. The physics are a little too slippery, too, but not a bad attempt overall.

YouOnlyGetOnePath by xerysherry 2013-12-24T06:56:00

Not a bad idea and an interesting minimalistic style, but it felt inordinately difficult (especially given how finnicky adding force to the projectile is), and the audio cues for losing and even winning a level were so grating that I turned audio off almost immediately.

The Last Bullet by Toureiro 2013-12-17T03:15:00

The art style is really nice! But the audio is grating and a bit annoying.

Drug Sweeper by Jimanzium 2013-12-19T20:29:00

You only get one to exit by OtherAlexy 2013-12-19T20:08:00

Instructions always help - even if you don't have time to put them in your game, put them on your game submission.

It also seemed weird that I could die from bursting through walls that seem like they would have collision.

You Only Get One Hero by Sertkaya 2013-12-19T20:28:00

Wasn't too sure what the boots were for, although later I presumed speed.

Also wasn't sure what the hole in the ground was for either.

The animations were nice.

Incomplete by Erkberg 2013-12-17T06:16:00

An interesting take on the theme! The soundtrack looped too often and quickly got repetitive, though.

KERNEL by CatOnMars 2013-12-17T06:28:00

I had to give up because it was too difficult for me but really neat idea and excellent execution. I loved the implementation of the title, the music fit nicely and it had a nice level of polish up to where I played.

ALL THE BLOOM.

Candy Runner by AtomicVikings 2013-12-17T03:19:00

Your screenshots look so pretty! But I tried downloading the OS/X version and my web browser froze for a few minutes :(

Abandon Ship by TnT 2013-12-20T16:27:00

It's an interesting idea, but there wasn't enough explanation of what the player was supposed to do and how to do it, and navigating a mostly dark world, while atmospheric, did get a little frustrating.

Light of Happiness by Katamori 2013-12-19T04:09:00

I really enjoyed the mood of the game and the message you were trying to convey. The gameplay itself was a little simplistic and could have used a bit more clarity in explanation, but I see where you were going with it, and the attempt turned out quite nice. My finger is kind of sore now though. Good job!

Wild Growth by Moosefly 2013-12-20T01:13:00

This is not a bad idea, but the implementation fluctuates between really sensitive when you make a mistake, and quite tedious doing well.

RGB - So sweet your television will break by RevelBase 2013-12-20T15:54:00

This is a beautiful game; great art! I got stuck in the terrain a LOT, though, and a really brief tutorial on switching colors in the first level would not have been amiss.

One Earth, One Defender by Mental Atrophy 2014-01-04T15:57:00

This is a good Asteroid clone with a few more features, and is pretty fun to play in general, though it looks like victory would take a long time, even with upgrades (which should be explained more clearly). The theme feels kind of tacked-on, too.

Creator Story Saga Tycoon by Bruno Massa 2013-12-19T05:42:00

So this is really quite similar to Cookie Clicker, which has been making the rounds recently. It's a nice implementation of the concept, though!

OneChance by Lukbebalduke 2013-12-20T16:18:00

This is a pretty neat entry. The mana regeneration is way too slow, though; I often found myself sitting around doing nothing, waiting for it to recharge.

The Game of Fun by stvr 2013-12-17T05:54:00

Audio was definitely the highlight.

Tips for improvement - allowing the players to perhaps view instructions once in game would be helpful (I managed to forget how to climb vines).

Neighbors From Hell by Slader16 2013-12-17T06:23:00

The game appears to be bigger than the screen size allotted.

Neat concept and story, but the controls are much too sensitive to movement.

The audio fits nicely and the GUI was done well (apart from screen size issues) and I agree with Guennor's comment about needing to disable the cursor.

Cable by eemmbbeerr 2013-12-17T22:53:00

Loaded a grey scene and music but nothing else.

An ordinary story about death by irma vep 2013-12-19T08:06:00

I agree with kristoffer zetterberg - when choosing whether or not to go to work, it wasn't clear what 'yes/no' entailed.

Process Journey by Lissar 2013-12-17T07:13:00

There's a 'screeching' noise in the loop that gets pretty irritating.

Really beautiful art.

Monkey Rally by antila 2013-12-17T21:59:00

Nice GUI Polish, although the blocks in game could use a little bit more polish to fit with it.

Also, when the monkey is standing in front of a block, it's difficult to see that block.

It was also unclear as to whether the arrows made the monkey go one square in that direction, or (which was the case), if they made them move all the way until they reached an obstruction.

The music is neat.

Iron Chef Dorm by UltraRat 2013-12-19T19:55:00

Everytime 'click again' appears, the hit box should include the area of text that says 'click again', rather than requiring the user to click everyone on screen until they find the right spot.

Also, after placing cheese on the quesadilla, it went straight into flipping mode, so I unwillingly did a 'bad flip'.

It's a shame that there isn't more polish on some of the other GUI elements, because from what there is so far, the art looks good.

There should also be more player feedback as to how close they are to getting certain 'scores' as they play.

Where's my Present? by Zerkruemler 2013-12-17T21:33:00

The audio should start as soon as the menu opens - mine only started when i clicked instructions.

The 'correct present' audio was a bit too loud and high-pitched, so it got a tad annoying. It also didn't seem to fit the other christmas music and general christmas theme of your game.

It would also be nice to be able to replay/reset a level once failed, rather than having to start from the start again.

Mother by tchem 2013-12-17T21:05:00

Comment: Really interesting visual and sound design! The gameplay was a little simple, though, and the instructions didn't seem quite correct - the timer started when I pressed Z, not when I pressed HAL. Maybe it was a bug?

FFirst Impression by chiguireitor 2013-12-17T07:32:00

The music... so painful!

The movement is difficult to get the hang of and players should be able to see what shops they're entering, no matter what angle they're entering from.

It's also fairly difficult to move away from a shop once you've entered it.

Wilhelm's Escape by glovecat 2013-12-17T02:40:00

Couldn't play because 'my browser doesn't support web GL'.

SPELLBREAKER by jdpalmer 2013-12-17T22:37:00

Pressing 'Z' is unintuitive and kind of frustrating.

The hint system also seems a bit buggy/incorrect, which means I have absolutely no way of figuring out how to defeat monsters.

Protoport by Und[0]ne Devs 2013-12-17T21:24:00

Really neat idea, but way too difficult to maneuverer the teleportation device.

Breathe by ryanmurakami 2013-12-17T03:25:00

The text runs out of the box when you reach "This guy is being really pushy." as well as when the cop says, "Not carrying your ID is a felony" aaaaand a bunch of other places (lazy to type out now :P)

I feel like player interaction (other than clicking through narrative) would be welcome earlier in the game.

Audio in the menu would also be good.

El Tigre Il Assassino by popogames 2013-12-17T08:15:00

I'm starting to write here while I wait for the game to load - it's been more than 5 minutes! Must have a lot of content!

The button clicking audio could be tuned down a bit.

Otherwise, really fun mechanic, great use of the theme, good mood and really nice level of polish.

RETRIEVAL - a First Person Boomerang Puzzler by Adam Thompson 2013-12-17T06:01:00

Basic audio would help immensely - ambient music, footsteps, boomerang swoosh etc.

Also, checkpoints! I really couldn't figure out what to do once I got the boomerang, and didn't want to replay the opening to get to there, since the opening was fairly empty.

But good job trying an innovative concept out that worked well with the theme.

Bullet Spy by HellBlazer 2013-12-17T08:02:00

The text saying 'find all documents' runs by too quickly.

I found the AI to move at a good pace.

Juggle by Wekaj 2013-12-19T06:01:00

Santa Claws by skysthelimit 2013-12-19T04:34:00

Wow, for such a short timespan, this is a really good-looking game. It wasn't too clear what the candy-canes did, though (they didn't always boost my health), but apart from that it was pretty fun to play. Consider making a web build in the future too, it's extremely easy with Unity!

Pretty neat level design - nice and easy with a good level of challenge, new challenges introduced at a good pace to the player.

I can't seem to mount my ride, however :(]

I liked the use of the one apple as a weapon.

Good work.

MoNsteR IN my hEAd by MyGrandmother 2013-12-21T01:31:00

Interesting idea and mechanics. It could have been clearer in-game that the WASD keys didn't work for pushing bad thoughts away, though, since the arrow keys also controlled movement; but your instructions here explained that.

This reaaaally slowed my browser in the long time it took to load.

Perhaps post a warning about that?

GUI feedback would also be good - it was hard to tell where exactly to click.

Then as soon as I got in the game, I got the rainbow wheel of death (on mac) and I couldn't move my character or do anything in game.

Hi, we responded to your feedback on our game page, but I wanted to clarify about my initial comment here.

Because I own a Mac, my recommended games list quickly fills up with games that I can't rate (ones without a Mac or web version).

My post doesn't affect your rating - it just means that my recommended games list gets cleared up for games I can rate.

If I've misinterpreted your comment, please let me know.

Space Diplomacy - You Only Get One by taocayo 2013-12-17T22:03:00

The ambient music could be a bit louder.

The art is beautiful, the polish is great, but the memory mechanic wasn't terribly fun for me, and I normally enjoy puzzle/memory games.

#YOGO Platform by hnzlmnn 2013-12-24T07:13:00

There isn't a very strong sense of progression, and the audio could be improved upon, but otherwise an amusing concept.

Only one chance at one way out by Gerben Limburg 2013-12-19T05:18:00

This isn't bad, but it's not clear how having randomized letters for direction works towards improving the gameplay experience, besides slowing the player down while they look for the right key.

Clicked on the web link, the side info loaded but not the game itself.

System Control by conormn 2013-12-17T21:06:00

This is a really different and polished-looking entry! It's really quite difficult to play, though, and it kind of felt like the best approach was just to mash buttons, rather than carefully time anything, given that everything was so fast and there weren't any obvious penalties for false presses.

Get a Job! by Coin Flip Games 2013-12-17T06:46:00

Really difficult to figure out how to play properly - even just having to mash the mouse button to get past the newspaper screen.

One Leg Toppijainen by muumeroinen 2013-12-21T17:02:00

This is a fun little mechanic! Could use some more introduction to how things work, and it felt like some of the level's areas were unnecessary because I could complete the level without entering them.

You Only Have Ones by ipe369 2013-12-24T07:20:00

Kind of like Othello or similar games, but with binary; actually a pretty neat idea, and a solid program that works well, too. Good job! Seems rather difficult though.

One Video Game by SoundGuy 2013-12-17T02:36:00

The sound when clicking to choose an item is much louder than the narrative sound, so it hurted my ears.

Perception by y2bd 2013-12-19T06:13:00

Technically, this seems pretty impressive; from a gameplay perspective, exploring things this way is fascinating, but I really didn't like how the camera only seemed to follow the player once they got two-thirds across the screen. This meant that almost all of the screen was dark at any one moment, even in the direction the player was looking.

Maybe if the camera instead moved in front of the player, so that the beam would illuminate more of the screen when appropriate, it would feel less limiting. Some audio might have helped a whole lot, too.

Otherwise, though, this was an interesting entry! Good job!

Do not miss! by ambi 2013-12-19T06:21:00

The web version didn't work for me at all, but I got the Windows build running fine. This is actually a pretty neat idea, manipulating the wolf and the civilians in order to get to the crossbow. I enjoyed interacting with the AI, rudimentary as it may have been. Nice mechanic!

One Coffin by Dikkop 2013-12-20T15:33:00

Wow, this is a really excellent, polished-looking entry. Gameplay is quite difficult, but it's nonetheless really fun. Great job!

YOGOTANK by CodingNickNick 2013-12-24T07:26:00

This is a pretty funny one - jumping tank, tanks that can't shoot, whacky physics - and it has nice presentation too.

Shooter by kragsalt 2013-12-17T07:33:00

The sound effects very quickly become annoying, even painful; maybe try choosing somewhat softer sounds.

lights out by Waterman7 2013-12-19T07:14:00

I really liked the visual tone set by this game, and the mechanics were mostly smooth and fun to play. However, I had a pretty hard time figuring out how to fight the monsters, and what the yellow dust-stuff was. Some additional instructions would have been great; but this is a solid entry!

One boss by Cash 2013-12-19T07:23:00

The game was quite difficult, since there were so many bullets flying around, and it was hard to tell how much damage I was dealing. Also, the game sometimes started with me instantly getting killed because I happened to have my cursor in a bad place, and there should be some kind of indication that the player is dead other than that it stops shooting.

But the core bullet hell/schmup gameplay itself is pretty fun!

Rogue Rush by schizokoa 2013-12-19T07:29:00

Wow, for a 48-hour jam, you guys sure packed a lot of stuff in there. Good job getting it all working! A nice little roguelike.

Bee Honey by shanageek 2013-12-17T08:16:00

This is actually a pretty interesting and fun mechanic; I enjoyed it. There appear to be some typos, though, such as with "instractions" and such - careful!

The Last Acorn by geoisgame 2013-12-19T04:20:00

Interesting concept and pretty good physics, but the gameplay seemes overly difficult, especially since the player can't see most of the map and has such limited control over the acorn.

. by Gazooka 2013-12-22T03:06:00

I think I know what's going on here; far as I can tell, you have a game window that is either incredibly tiny or outright invisible, and we're supposed to try and find it - "You Only Get One" pixel, maybe?

It's mildly amusing, I guess, but a more "normal" game would probably have been a better idea.

Blind Ball by leuhfahn 2013-12-19T08:01:00

I wasn't able to switch the controls. The mouse movement was too sensitive and the instructions text should be completely visible to the player as soon as they enter.

Bombevo by harsanalif 2013-12-17T08:23:00

Choose Wisely by zconnelly13 2013-12-17T06:48:00

This is a pretty solid little platformer, all things considered, and I like that you've interpreted the theme to revolve around character customization.

Unicycle Messenger by Sanguine 2013-12-20T15:37:00

This is a really nice entry; just moving the unicycle around is a joy, and the soundtrack is excellent.

Morse Code Hero by SharpenedSpoon 2013-12-19T08:03:00

Neat idea but since I'm too focused on getting the tapping right, I'm unable to look to the left and see what letters are, and it seems like there'd be much potential in teaching players morse code.

Good job getting audio in.

Ultra Awesome Cartridge! by nSun 2013-12-19T19:06:00

Lol.

The race game was misleading - I thought I was going to get to draw the map :(

Also, when failing at multi-player, I should be returned to the main menu, like when I fail at the other games, otherwise I'm forced to play it again and again until I win.

Overall, better than I thought it would be. :)

At The Last Minute by Scrapworks 2013-12-19T21:54:00

Wow, this is a great entry! The grappling mechanic is really fun, and the audiovisual style is great. The only-one-minute thing is a bit unoriginal, but otherwise this is an excellent entry!

Otzi's Last Journey by Rex Peppers 2013-12-17T07:53:00

The game has a nice soundtrack and an interesting visual effect upon death, but the rest of the assets need some polishing; the art assets don't stand out muchand the death sound is kind of grating. It's also very difficult to estimate when to stop and start, and not being able to move backwards makes things all the harder.

Good effort though.

Laserama by runsintowalls 2013-12-19T08:21:00

Difficult to read the font.

As soon as I get the battery/shoot the robot, the game freezes.

Try to fly by kill0u 2013-12-17T07:25:00

The animations are cute and polished, but I felt that it was difficult to tell when to 'fly' and when to 'dive'

U-OGO by Darkcoder 2013-12-17T07:52:00

Took a lil bit to get used to the controls and to figure out what the aim of the game was, but I kind of liked it overall.

Press X to Win by Lost King 2013-12-17T23:33:00

An awesome new installment in the proud tradition of AAA shooter game development. Mechanically devoid of any kind of depth or innovation, but a glorious experience nonetheless, worth passing on to future generations.

One Wish by miwuc 2013-12-19T08:18:00

Really neat.

Space to Proceed by Canyon 2013-12-19T06:50:00

Tumble Dive by Skoggy 2013-12-19T07:02:00

I don't seem able to regain my parachute after dropping it, so is it essentially a one-hit-kill scenario? If so, you might want to speed up the player's death when they lose their parachute.

Suuuper quick.

Really neat mechanic, although it was a bit difficult to figure out how to destroy the clones originally.

I liked how you introduced the player to the mechanic in the opening scenes.

Beep Boop. Where will it go? by PapyPilgrim 2013-12-17T19:15:00

I actually really enjoyed this game.

Unsure as to how the speed affects anything apart from making it less tedious to watch through.

Also took me a little while to spot the 'direction' arrows on the triangles.

I really loved the sounds though, I'm going to keep playing!

Dunkra by MemoryLeek 2014-01-04T15:38:00

Controls felt a little strange, like I would sometimes stop moving when near walls. It ended up being really, really difficult. Also, having WASD be attack and arrows be movement felt really weird, as most games I've played with a similar setup use the reverse.

Dunkra by MemoryLeek 2014-01-04T15:39:00

Oops, disregard that comment, sorry - it was meant for another game (luckily I didn't submit it with the rating function!).

superfrozenkittengetsonlyonesecretbottleforyou by evilindiegames 2013-12-17T20:23:00

Wow, this game is really trippy; it's quite disorienting, but that's where the challenge stems from. I found the mix of hand-drawn, brightly-colored art with strange visual distortions to be rather interesting, though the gameplay could have been made a little more complex and thematic.

Once Charged by pighead10 2013-12-20T15:57:00

A nice, snappy game; it's rather difficult, but that's okay.

Pollinate by Miltage 2013-12-17T07:14:00

This is a lovely, peaceful little game. Good job selecting an audio track that doesn't get repetitive; nice, clean art. Watching the bees pollinate a garden is strangely hypnotic!

Grizzly Bet by MisterDerek2 2013-12-19T05:01:00

The graphical style is really interesting, but there aren't really any interesting interactions to take part in.

Lift Up by aeveis 2013-12-17T06:38:00

This was incredibly relaxing and enjoyable to play, well done.

It was unclear that the dragon didn't need to go into the hut - so that was confusing.

Also, the theme could have been clearer.

Nonetheless, I enjoyed this immensely.
