LD28 — You Only Get One

Our Man, Dragon by scoopsy 2013-12-19T17:06:00

This is a good idea but the lack of audio, or any indication of success/failure is a downer. It seems like the enemy camps spawn really fast. I think a polished post-compo version could be really fun, though!

Burial by ben 2014-01-04T08:21:00

Dark, creepy, atmospheric and very strange.

YOGO Cookie by Lacutis 2013-12-19T17:03:00

Surprisingly tough! The MS Paint graphics are... not great.

Shine by AdventureIslands 2013-12-18T01:31:00

My son and I played this as a two-player game. He did not like the wall of death!

KOSMOTROT by Todd Luke 2014-01-04T06:13:00

Solid entry, a bit simple but fun. Would have liked to see the somewhat desolate mood of the music carried into the game more!

Only One Punch by itsZN 2013-12-20T02:46:00

Cool idea, but after charging up my punch for a bit, my character got stuck in some sort of dodge loop, and I couldn't get out.

Charon by jerombd 2013-12-25T04:46:00

Sort of a hyper-minimalist labyrinth? I had to look over the comments before I "got" it, but I supposed with enough guesswork I would have figured it out. Beautiful graphics, and actually a cool idea (that could use some more signposting)!

Elves' Eve by Elemental Zeal Games Studios 2013-12-17T05:29:00

Score: 381 points! Woo! I beat my record of -20,000!

Look Up by lekochen 2013-12-19T17:10:00

Multiple alternating sliders are an interesting mechanic, but it's super-confusing the first time you play.

Out by eli 2013-12-24T22:49:00

Best screengrab of the jam. At the end, when you start to realize what's happening, you really dread that bell.

Charcoal by IonProgramming 2013-12-17T04:18:00

Solid concept, well executed. Really the biggest downfall is the sounds. The walk sound is like a robot, and the "creepy" sounds are a bit grating.

Braid 2 by magicdweedoo 2013-12-28T22:17:00

Better than Braid. I consider this to be canon in the Braid universe. Basically The Witness. Fixes all of the problems in the original and improves on every aspect. I once asked Mr. Blow what Braid 2 would be like and he described this exact game.

One Move by Flyinpig5 2013-12-20T01:46:00

Super tricky to control, platforms are smaller and higher than they look... I couldn't get past the second level. :(

Doubt by rxi 2013-12-30T02:41:00

Really pretty and great sound, of course. The story is a bit incoherent, but the dialogue is well-written, and while I would have liked a more "conclusive" ending, what we got was good for a 48h game. Nice work!

Snowball Carnage by Moist 2013-12-20T01:32:00

A lot of fun!

Dangerous pursuit by LemonTree 2013-12-23T04:43:00

The art is not only well done but implemented well; it looks and feels like playing a kid's drawing! However, you should not have used Disasterpeace's copyrighted music without permission. :(

Doki Doggie by Husky 2013-12-28T05:31:00

The combo mechanic is fun, and pretty solid! A bit rough around the edges, but still a good idea. I like that you can almost do a pacifist run!

Frontier To Nowhere by Verz 2013-12-30T04:09:00

Very well drawn, and I think this is the first game I've played that has VO. But, it seems pretty arbitrary, and I didn't have any indication as to what I was supposed to be doing at any given point.

One Dream by YsenGrimm 2013-12-18T23:53:00

Relaxing music, a muted palette, and a slow pace. A nice, mellow, game! Good work!

un-Equipped by WojWorks 2013-12-19T13:29:00

I love how this is like a family-friendly Hotline Miami.

Go Home by Blooperly 2013-12-19T13:35:00

Neat idea! Maybe the movement was a bit slow, but the concept is solid and the graphics are super pretty!

You only get one arrow by tobbez 2013-12-17T20:34:00

A surprisingly fun game! The simple graphics were off-putting at first but there's a lot of depth to setting up your shot and retrieving your arrow. The boss is great too; tough, but fair. But the font is an eyesore!

Casting Call by OnlySlightly 2013-12-17T06:05:00

ha ha ha WHAT?!

Going Down by GarethIW 2014-01-04T08:32:00

Wouldn't open or anything, Win7 x64.

#YOGO by tove 2013-12-24T23:53:00

Genius concept, simple but very intriguing. Nice work!

Underbyte by unusualcadence 2013-12-18T02:06:00

Really great interpretation of the theme; I don't think I've seen a single-use invincibility yet! Burning Tiger (my son) says: "your game is amazing and I like the idea of invincibility."

One-Minute Robber by invicticide 2014-01-04T08:51:00

Really a unique concept... like a point-and-click adventure game where you're limited by your character's position and speed. Well done!

Eldritch Racing by ian_snyder 2013-12-18T04:04:00

The driving controls are a bit difficult, but this is a really unique take on the racing genre!

Eldritch Racing by ian_snyder 2013-12-19T00:08:00

In my opinion, it feels a bit like the steering is undersensitive, then it ramps up and gets oversensitive. That, combined with the "slidiness", makes it pretty hard to stay in control.

Dead Planet by Hypnohustla 2013-12-30T03:56:00

Well, if it doesn't work out, we have Mars too. We'll probably fix that place up real nice. Oh! The game is good fun and clever. I actually really like how earth does not look like a place worth protecting.

Last Chance Supermarket by Sebastian 2013-12-19T14:09:00

Yes. This is amazing. A roguelike shopping sim? I love it. There's so much strategy that emerges as you learn what's in which isle, keep an eye on your list while watching out for other shoppers, etc. And then there's the thrill of narrowly avoiding a crash at the last minute! My only problem was that items were getting garbage collected that I needed to buy :( Also, it seems like it would be possible to crash into a cart that spawns right in front of you, but I didn't experience that. This is definitely in my top 10 for the compo!

My Champion by jacklehamster 2013-12-20T01:40:00

Dang, this is frustrating. But it's a lot of fun, too! After getting a destroyed a few times you get the hang of it.

0RBITALIS by AlanZucconi 2013-12-30T03:38:00

Like a tiny Kerbal Space Program! :)

No Mistakes. by meek 2013-12-30T01:10:00

Simple, terrifying, and excellent.

One True God by kidder 2013-12-17T06:15:00

Did you make SimChurch in three days?! How?

One Step To Fail by NightDreamer 2014-01-06T23:03:00

Is the first coin (the one that's almost straight up) even possible to get?

Hot Wife: Belarus by Devon 2013-12-18T04:24:00

I would rather play a Belarus marriage service simulator than another zombie game. However, the game seems to self-resolve after a single click, and it happens so quickly there's no chance to see or understand the rules of the game. Unique concept though.

You only get one stone by Vladp995 2013-12-17T05:48:00

I really have no idea what to do. Still, writing an LD game in C++ using SDL is impressive!

Escape Of The Red Gem by 97PercentAwesome 2014-01-06T23:31:00

Surprisingly fun but a bit frustrating. Got stuck fairly early on, which was a shame.

One Legged Jonny by ChuiGum 2013-12-17T05:25:00

Executable crashes but the LOVE file works.

OfficeRage by Seigeengine 2013-12-17T05:21:00

Hey, making an interactive borderless windowed cross-platform tiled map editor with a huge map is no small feat!

For those wondering how tall the tower is: it is very very tall.

Lost Gems by d__adee 2013-12-19T17:00:00

A pretty solid concept, but the enemies are super tough, and winning or losing pretty much depends solely on how close you spawn to a sword. Also, walking diagonally is faster than walking straight.

Destroy The Blocks (V: 1.3 Alpha) by mclordalex 2013-12-18T04:17:00

The thing about a Breakout game is that you need to make sure the player can apply an angle to the ball no matter what; after a few bounces, my ball was going straight up and down and I could do nothing to change it.

The Turmeric Jam Jar's Only Game. by local minimum 2013-12-17T21:33:00

This game has a strange, wonderful internal logic and, as you understand it, you are able to progress. This is a great thing! So many games have to tell you everything, this game lets you figure it out. That said, I bumped a pitcher to the edge of a ledge as I was jumping down, effectively blocking me from going back up ever again, so I was stuck. :(

Find the one 1 by Marobax 2013-12-19T02:54:00

Surprisingly fun for a hit-switch-and-run-to-door game. Shame you didn't get further along!

Sweat Marathon by oxysoft 2013-12-18T19:03:00

Clever perspective on the theme, although fat guy humor is not particularly awesome. I use FlashDevelop/HaxeFlixel quite a bit with no problems, if you need help feel free to tweet at me: @stvr_tweets

To the Moon! by Pickens Inc. 2013-12-21T02:06:00

Aside from taking the name of a recent successful indie game, this game seems utterly broken. I was unable to move, broke some blocks, a monster was attacking me, I guess? To no effect.

You Only Get Juan by EvilObjective 2013-12-17T05:54:00

Really simple and surprisingly fun, but I often got hurt by non-Juans when the bus was auto-reversing.

Fever Blue by Raiyumi 2013-12-30T01:46:00

Great game, pretty graphics, and the direction mechanic is really clever!

Kittens for Science ! by zequack 2013-12-23T04:54:00

Not a bad idea, but you seem to be able to try as many times as you want without the level mechanics changing.

Sole Survivor by LD_LAN_Party 2013-12-18T03:38:00

Great use of the Wilhelm scream! Unfortunately, the AI was a bit daft and commonly got stuck.

The Game of Fun by stvr 2013-12-19T13:25:00

Hey everyone, thank you for your kind words! I'm sorry for the spotty jumping. I noticed this during development, but didn't have time to fix it. I looked over the code, and tried an entirely different input method, but the result was still the same. Sorry!

Also, did anyone find the super special secret on the last level? Not the chest; there's one of those in every level. Let me know!

The Ninja by kingofzombies 2013-12-30T02:09:00

Clicked on the EXE to no avail. Win7 x64.

Mother by tchem 2014-01-04T08:47:00

Great feeling of tension, and creepiness. Not sure if the extra astronaut was a glitch or not, but it freaked me out either way.

Crew: A Futuristic Detective Game by metkis 2013-12-30T04:02:00

Really a neat take on a classic gameplay concept. As others have said the interplay of the dialogue could be refined, but this is a great base for a more intricate game! It would work well on a phone or tablet too.

--- by Zephyr Raine 2014-01-04T09:04:00

For a game with only boolean choices, I did exceedingly well at always choosing the wrong one.

SPELLBREAKER by jdpalmer 2013-12-20T01:26:00

Really clever! Unlike anything else I've seen this jam.

A Cup of Christmas Fear by Toby Simone 2013-12-17T03:59:00

A bit confusing, especially at the beginning. With the countdown, this may have made more sense for the last jam?

Last of Kind by Mr.Cassels 2013-12-17T04:32:00

Runs really slow and choppy, even though the screen is tiny. Still, not a bad interpretation of the theme!

One For All & All For One by BlazingFanfish 2013-12-17T04:47:00

Interesting, but highly confusing. I see what you're going for, though. I ran out of ONE and then got an error, something like "Unable to find file Graphics/Gameover".

To That Sect by gamesbyangelina 2013-12-17T20:13:00

Since when does Angelina work in 3D? Also, it's creepy that your robot is making games about bizarre flying statues under a black sky.

Shield or Sword - Jam Entry - Gian by Gian 2013-12-21T02:05:00

Tons of dependencies, takes forever to load, and then; I picked up the sword? And then nothing happened. I walked off the ledge, and it went back to the main menu. :(

Afterwife by Bribz 2013-12-17T05:16:00

Pretty good platforming concept, but after I retrieve the bride I can't do the next obvious thing, so I was stuck. Also forces fullscreen, which is weird but not a big deal.

RETRIEVAL - a First Person Boomerang Puzzler by Adam Thompson 2013-12-17T05:35:00

Runs horribly on my old laptop, but that's not exactly your fault; still, would be nice to have the option to download. Also, I tried to throw the boomerang and it disappeared. :(

One vs. Legion by Piscythe 2013-12-19T13:40:00

It's very difficult to control, as others have noted. I always ended up with my mouse just following enemy ships, or protecting my ship directly. However, the concept is very unique, and the upgrade system adds replayability, so this could have some real potential with some tweaking!

Tall Grass by Lipedal 2014-01-04T06:57:00

An adorable game that really shows the power of PuzzleScript!

YOG1D by everythingstaken 2013-12-17T05:06:00

A really great and super-minimalist game. I, unfortunately, could not get past the second (third?) level at all.

Metal Track by Azzar 2013-12-17T05:44:00

Simple and fun concept, executed very well. Good job!

one-sec by rottenmage 2013-12-18T19:29:00

A very pretty take on the whack-a-mole genre. Would work nice on a touch screen!

One Job One Shot by BluShine 2013-12-18T19:26:00

A really fun, solid, simple mechanic with a lot of depth in a bug-free package. Very impressive for two days!

Dinosaur Ranger Interview: Burrito Challenge SUPREME by Udell Games 2014-01-06T23:11:00

I would not succeed in this situation, apparently.

Mama is Sick by JaymeeMak 2013-12-19T19:22:00

A gripping and sad experience. I wish the upgrades were a bit clearer, but the ability to go to the menu and re-read the instructions makes it better. Really powerful.

Only One Shot by TheTeamwithNoName 2014-01-06T22:56:00

Surprisingly smooth with the number of ships on-screen, and an interesting concept, but there's so little feedback for your action it's hard to see what's going on. Also, the score kept going up even after I got the "Final Score" screen, not sure if another shot fired or if my first shot was still bouncing around, or what.

Singular by nerial 2013-12-30T03:33:00

Clever mechanic, reminds me a bit of Hundreds. The cascading red failure is pretty neat! I also like some of the hints in the beginning regarding the storyline. Some audio would make it more "juicy" though, and some of the writing was not great.

Only one light by Snuti 2013-12-20T02:26:00

The fifth flame on the first level feels impossible to hit! It took a long time. Still, really fun and a cool, simple mechanic.

Only One Chance by johnfn 2013-12-18T19:21:00

This is really great! A short and sweet story about robots with solid platforming. Nice!

Lestac by almightysuit 2013-12-17T05:58:00

Created a white, large window and then instantly crashed. Win7 64-bit. The screenshots look pretty though!

Lestac by almightysuit 2013-12-18T23:58:00

Hope this helps!

Cascade by code-11 2013-12-17T04:28:00

Great concept! Maybe a video of play could have sold the idea better?

G.T.F.O. by Centhra 2013-12-17T04:41:00

Short and to the point! "Dangerous pools have formed"... in these conveniently placed pools! :)

DISTANT WORLD FOR THE BOTH OF US by Cell 2013-12-20T01:53:00

Fun but a bit confusing. Not sure how I could be "better" than my previous score. Sometimes failure seemed arbitrary.

The Vigilante: Single Shot Justice by MagnesiumNinja 2013-12-17T03:51:00

Really polished, with a great art style. And excellent writing!

Cubinca by Killswitch 2013-12-19T16:55:00

Very, very simple but effective.

Direction by hannardynamite 2013-12-22T22:02:00

Well you fit the theme nicely, and having some kind of semi-random respawn mechanic is an interesting solution to problems inherent in unidirectional gameplay, but the unpredictability of spawns makes this far to frustrating and not enough fun.

You Will Die Alone At Sea by mcc 2013-12-17T06:12:00

I left the sea and ended up somewhere... beyond the sea. Good, or bad?

You Will Die Alone At Sea by mcc 2013-12-17T21:24:00

mcc, don't worry about it! I tried it again without moving, and it was a very unique experience. The visuals and the sound are top-notch. Loved it. Also, a bit freaked out.

Public Mischief Performance by Jwatt 2014-01-04T08:57:00

Jam Award: Best use of speech synthesis.

Midnight Memories by chameco 2014-01-06T23:17:00

Super confusing, shots seem completely ineffective, and I'm not sure what the point was.

One Memory by CNIAngel 2013-12-18T04:10:00

Neat interpretation of the theme, it's a shame you couldn't finish!

M'Lady and The Tramp by Pixelbear 2014-01-04T08:29:00

How... what? I... don't even... WHY

TITAN SOULS by Claw 2013-12-18T01:45:00

The game is awesome, but the brain was creepy.

Fountain by Terry 2013-12-30T02:50:00

The way the world desaturates as you age is powerful. It also makes the glitchy maze impossible! Brutally hard and very poignant.

Monocraft by MaTX 2013-12-20T02:43:00

This is a great take on the theme, but it would be REALLY nice if you could see your block after you place it!

Princess Kingdom by ncannasse 2013-12-30T03:51:00

Surprisingly engaging and funny! My only complaint is that I clicked a bookmark on accident and my progress was wiped...

GAMEHAX by zaratustra 2013-12-30T02:08:00

"Ha, I have super jump, surely the game will be unbalanced now," I thought, and continued to think about every power. The fact that you guys balanced a game that is about having cheat powers is amazing.

Lift Up by aeveis 2013-12-18T19:08:00

A D O R A B L E. The controls get a bit fidgety at times, but this is a lot of fun!

LD29 — Beneath the Surface

The world beneath by Spotline 2014-05-09T19:25:00

Despite occasional glitchiness, this was a great atmospheric game!

Lounge Lord by pereubu 2014-05-09T18:45:00

Hipster DJ Simulator 2014!

Surf Camp: The Legend of the Surf Ace by GertJohnny 2014-05-09T21:05:00

This is probably in my top 5 for this Ludum Dare. I played this for longer than I'd care to admit, trying to beat the Surf Ace. Please, PLEASE extend this into a full game with tons of minigames.

Delve by conormn 2014-05-09T19:53:00

Easily the best graphics of the jam, a really wonderful aesthetic, though the gameplay is a bit simple.

Beneath the Cave by feiss 2014-05-04T02:58:00

Great animations, and super stylish. Some solid music would have brought it home.

The Sea Has No Claim by dukope 2014-05-02T18:43:00

A great entry, of course! Really morbid, and there's a lot of variety in the tools at your disposal. Would have loved sound, but its exclusion is understandable.

Root cause by oal 2014-05-04T02:49:00

The rate of natural water replenishment could not sustain my ridiculous rate of growth. I expanded to cover the map, and then perished. I would not make a good plant.

Switcher by ehtd 2014-05-09T18:23:00

I had a lot of fun with this one, but couldn't win! I would happily pay to see a game where this is the final level.

Rocket Mole by Zathnic 2014-05-13T20:14:00

The bounce mechanic is interesting, even if you do play as a naked baby. ;)

mungo: wrenchlord by 01010111 2014-05-03T20:26:00

Whoa, a really solid platformer with tons of charm and unique puzzles? Awesome!

Dr. Brainwire by snooze82 2014-05-04T03:39:00

Pretty neat little puzzle game, but figuring out where to path the neurons is a lot of guesswork, as you can't tell what your options are just by looking at it.

Get The Bone by kasarun 2014-05-04T03:29:00

:O I did not see that coming! Gets sluggish at the bottom, and it doesn't seem like you can win, but still very unique.

Forgotten Sea by Incredible Ape 2014-04-29T18:42:00

Not sure how it fits in the theme (especially since you're above the sea), but the art is top notch and the effects are great (the water looks great). Would be a great exploration-focused game if there was more to see and do. The dash mechanic stopping your momentum is a pain, it would have made movement more fluid if it didn't do that.

Hare's Harvest by mtrc 2014-04-29T15:26:00

Excellent sense of progression, new elements are introduced in a really gradual way, and the consequences of the new elements are expounded upon well, although you probably could have done even more with them (I'm guessing you were limited by time in that regard). My only negative comments are that it's a bit hard to tell the difference between stomped and un-stomped burrows, and it's possible to exploit the dogs on the last level to avoid the stomped burrows entirely. Still, really great!

Ant World by DanEEStar 2014-04-29T21:12:00

A bit rough, but the terrain deformation is done really well!

24100 by lekochen 2014-05-03T20:50:00

A truly unique take on the theme, but half-life refers to the amount of time it will take half of something to decay away, not how long it will take it to decay for the first time. You could have had little chunks of the buried material falling off and changing color over time, with half still left at year 24100. Still, a very powerful message!

Down by SonnyBone 2014-05-09T17:33:00

Wonderful sound and graphics, but the gameplay's a bit bland.

SWIM HARD by Spierek 2014-05-09T18:48:00

The halfway switcheroo kills it. This game is awesome.

Dolphin and Rainbows !?!?! by lajos 2014-05-04T02:24:00

So awesome! I made a game with my kids last time around, what you pulled off is pretty impressive! The sound and art are great and I cannot believe that you pulled this off with C++. Good work!

Playbuck by Ithildin 2014-04-29T15:32:00

Not a bad concept, but it seems like you win by hitting a rather arbitrary point in the level, rather than by, um, 'befriending' bunnies.

GeoCrush by Punga 2014-05-13T19:38:00

Hard to play, runs very fast, and the sounds aren't great.

Leagues Above by BumbleBirds 2014-05-03T22:35:00

Pretty fun! A bit fidgety to control, but that's ok.

Insane Grandpa by jahlgren 2014-05-09T18:37:00

Took me waaay to long to beat Barney, but it was worth it. Dark and memorable!

FedIt! by zedutchgandalf 2014-04-30T19:20:00

Really unforgiving! I kept shooting the food on accident, but it didn't seem like there was a point to stockpiling food?

Truth by Jason Lay 2014-05-13T20:20:00

How was it worded? An open door is the easiest to go through, even if it doesn't lead where you want to go? Pretty deep.

Wriggle Worm by gikdew 2014-05-01T17:53:00

Surprisingly fun and challenging, with a fairly relaxing vibe (until you get hit).

RAD - Robot Assisted Digging by pinion 2014-04-29T15:36:00

Good use of tilemap destruction, and provides an interesting resource management problem. Maybe there should have been a 'gate' to the next level, like collect X gold to progress?

Fish Legacy: Beneath The Surface by Xeke_Death 2014-05-04T02:56:00

Nice intro! The game was pretty tough.

Beneath The Fun by Mefteg 2014-05-04T02:42:00

Every time I jumped, I flipped, and it didn't seem like I could right myself. :(

The Huntress by xhunterko 2014-05-03T20:46:00

With even the tiniest indication of where the creature was -- a roar that got louder, some sort of radar ping -- this would be an interesting hunt.

Wunderheilung by kbm 2014-05-09T18:25:00

Sir, you have a cigarette in your mouth.

Under Maintenance by Gamepopper 2014-05-03T20:08:00

Fun-fun

Beneath the Mountain by JanGames 2014-04-29T18:54:00

Was confusing at first, but then things became a bit more obvious. It is pretty unbalanced; with the shield, a couple of catapults, and a couple of balistas, you're basically invincible.

Above and Below by bitpuncher 2014-04-29T19:02:00

I like the way teleporting works, would have been neat to see this fleshed out into a full game where you warp into some sort of mirror world.

Dark Escape by Masadow 2014-05-03T22:30:00

Interesting concept, the overlaid map is probably superfluous, and I gave up because I had no idea what to look for.

Bob by grayhaze 2014-04-29T18:56:00

Not a bad sandbox, and the physics are good (nape?). Too bad you couldn't finish!

Fistula Foragers by local minimum 2014-05-04T03:36:00

Interesting, but I seemed to just fall and fall and couldn't really get anywhere.

Beneath The Memories by StuffBySpencer 2014-05-01T18:03:00

The platforming is a bit rough but the unexpected twists really made this a stand-out entry. Good work!

30 Days Remain by koe415 2014-05-09T19:48:00

A really interesting game with an element of Papers, Please. I didn't realize you could change levels until about day 20, then I lost just a few shy of day 30. Tough!

Escape - Beneath the Surface by saulopz 2014-05-13T20:17:00

Not bad, would have liked to have seen it completed!

The Missing Potato by DragonMaster21 2014-05-04T02:33:00

I loved every minute of this. Seriously, this is one of my favorite games of the jam. The lighting effects are amazing, and story is hilarious, and the out-of-control physics are a blast. I lost it when I had to get past that dude's bed. Awesome!

SUPER ROBO GARDEN ARENA by nxT 2014-04-29T18:47:00

The hail of arrows is very satisfying! Even unfinished, it's pretty rad.

Truffles by k.escoe 2014-05-04T03:15:00

Pretty nifty! Lava is what, again?

Come Home by cwkx 2014-04-29T16:23:00

Great environment art and tunes, and a clever interpretation of the theme, but I wish you had been a bit less explicit about what the daughter had done (leaving it to the players' imagination). Also, many times what people in the game express actually reflects what's 'beneath the surface', so it doesn't use the concept to its fullest. Still, clever and unique, good job!

SUBTWEET: The Card Game by chrisamaphone 2014-05-06T03:11:00

I always love to see analog games in LD. Great idea, and well thought out!

Chacket Valleyparker: DRILL BUNNY by stvr 2014-05-11T19:02:00

Thank you everyone for your comments! Sorry about the difficulty, not enough time and all that. But I think this might not be the last you see of Chacket Valleyparker!

Surface Come by Tanner 2014-05-04T02:51:00

Spotty hit detection made it very difficult to play, but it had a good sense of style and looks darn good for HTML5. Nice work!

Head First! by plugz 2014-04-29T18:18:00

I'm not a fan of the suicide aspect personally, and I didn't see how balloons affected the game at all.

Where Gods Sleep by Lissar 2014-05-09T21:50:00

An awesome abstract puzzler. Nice!

Epilepsy by tchem 2014-05-09T19:07:00

The glitchiness had me hooked, but the core gameplay was incredibly difficult and flat-out frustrating at times. Maybe an 'attack' of sorts to destroy nearby particles?

Neath by metkis 2014-05-09T18:43:00

Really solid and short (but sweet) adventure. Very atmospheric, though the ending is a bit silly.

Mine Explorer by Joe Williamson 2014-04-29T15:29:00

Fantastic art and music. I wanted more!

Sundiver by kmakai 2014-04-29T15:49:00

Neat concept, the game gets difficult *very* fast if you take any damage, but maybe that's just because I'm bad at games.

From the Under by damrem 2014-05-03T19:52:00

Really fun, though a bit floaty. The biggest problem was that just about every run, I would fall through the floor and then be stuck in another room, so I had to restart. It's a shame!

Roots by suppi 2014-05-03T20:11:00

Really difficult, I could only get a few drops before I didn't have enough water to make roots.

Snack on the fly by pandavigoureux 2014-05-04T03:02:00

Does this game play a sound of you breathing? Because that freaked me out.

Sail by DrPrettyPatty 2014-05-05T20:43:00

Really fun! The obvious inspiration is OK in my eyes, it's still pretty neat!

Smash by joekinley 2014-05-03T20:53:00

When they collided, it was pretty neat. Would be interesting to see an expanded take on pixel/cell division!

Shady has to eat by anvoz 2014-05-04T03:32:00

You'd think that if a monster was eating people on the street, at some point, people would stop coming out. :)

Super Nail Gun Warrior by Vidsneeze 2014-05-03T19:35:00

Reminds me of the Unfinished Swan, but the nail collide sound effect was really bad.

Badrock Machine by MrLeePerry 2014-05-09T21:23:00

Hey, you had the same idea as us! It's okay, this is a blast too. :)

Skydiver by KeyMaster 2014-04-29T18:44:00

Pretty solid movement! Wish there was more!

PlanetShooter by meishijie 2014-05-03T22:26:00

Sorry, but this is a broken modification to a freely available demo project.

Infinite Hell Loop by ricklesauceur 2014-05-03T22:34:00

Interesting, pretty confusing but I guess I "got it" after a few tries.

Submarines Vs. Airplanes by bastos 2014-04-30T13:44:00

A lot of fun! Would have been nice to be able to move submarines as a group, or use your missiles to defend against the enemy's (you can call FlxG.collide(missileGroup, missileGroup) to collide stuff with itself). It also gets impossible very quickly!

Final Move by Team-KwaKwa 2014-05-09T21:31:00

Your voice actor sounds a *lot* like the guy who does Spike from Cowboy Bebop (in addition to about a million other cartoon voices).

Gold Rush by GiveMeAllYourCats 2014-04-29T14:06:00

Dang, those other miners are OP! The art's a bit rough and the game ran really slow for me, but other than that good job!

Under Our Feet by NicoM 2014-04-29T16:03:00

Double jumping wasn't obvious, which you know, but aside from that there was a good use of signposting (literally!) to introduce elements, hazards, etc. The movement was a bit rough, but I did really like that you could arrest your momentum by reversing direction.

Super Scrool Bros by eLLectron 2014-05-04T03:34:00

I kept falling out of the level, but I *wanted* to play!

Pelican Challenge by Green Lightning 2014-05-03T19:59:00

Super fun!

Mind Hacker by Martin Senovsky 2014-05-09T20:07:00

Of course, you can't unlock the mind prison without a hat.

Atomicle - LostAutumn.net by AutumnGuy 2014-05-09T19:02:00

Really polished and fun, but the idea of playing as a neutron orbiting a nucleus caused me to unlearn some high school chemistry.

(HTML5) Under YOUR Skin by luisfelipeart 2014-05-04T02:52:00

Super difficult! Also possible to keep shooting after you die.

Apologeticum by frankd0331 2014-04-29T18:24:00

Really innovative, and there's a nice "show not tell" aspect in the second level. A nice gradual addition of elements keeps things fresh, but it is a bit buggy (I beat the last level several times without doing anything).

And the Moment Is Gone by Mike Mezhenin 2014-05-09T17:58:00

As nerve-wracking as talking to strangers is in real life!

Descent by camlang 2014-05-09T18:56:00

A bit inspired by Hyper Light Drifter perhaps? Super atmosphere with great graphics, I could *not* get past the mage, which was a shame.

No Eyes Willy by blockbot 2014-05-09T20:09:00

Interesting! The art is definitely awesome.

Winter Is Coming . . . by PixelFeet 2014-04-29T16:17:00

Surprisingly fun, although it's a bit slow at first if your nutrients are all blocked by water. Would be nice if there was a score you were aiming for, or if you were trying to stockpile a certain amount of nutrients/water by winter.

Underneath Our Faces by undefinist 2014-04-29T18:26:00

Solid concept and well executed. That music tho D:

Ramen Master by RowdyGhosts 2014-05-09T19:51:00

I also ask for my noodles to have fillingness!

Drop The Light by arlefreak 2014-05-04T02:40:00

The moving platforms caught me totally off-guard!

Maniac PengMaku!! by spotco 2014-04-29T18:32:00

Aww! Penguins are rad. Very simple, but I did like that there was a low punishment for failure, with a "game over" only resulting in a level restart and no serious penalty before that.

Hi It's Julian by baboum 2014-05-09T18:59:00

High marks for being really disturbing, would have loved to see more.

Dark Moles! by ninjascript 2014-05-04T03:24:00

That adorable paraplegic is really vicious towards those moles!

The Stones Back Home by jrap 2014-05-09T17:43:00

Lots of fun, but if you weren't lucky enough to get a few triangles on the first leve, the second is impossible.

Subocula by DrMelon 2014-04-29T15:45:00

I did not see that coming. You might actually want to remove some of those screenshots so as to not spoil the surprise. I was genuinely surprised and creeped out, good job! Is there more than one ending?

Hey, you!! by Crocanti de Pollo 2014-05-09T17:52:00

Very simple but I love the concept!

GuppyShark by tanjent 2014-05-03T22:31:00

Webpage is not available :(

Blunderer by Jacob Peltola 2014-05-09T21:40:00

The concept is really unique, but now I know how John Romero feels: I've never gotten so motion-sick from a game in my life.

God Hunter by iJohnF 2014-05-09T17:39:00

Very enjoyable, simple and fun. The flavor text was always great. That bug though! Made it to level 7 or so and got totally stuck on it.

DRAANG by Magdev 2014-05-09T17:26:00

I liked so much about this, except for my inability to understand it at all.

SPACESHIP WIZARD by biscuitdough 2014-04-29T15:41:00

I will grant you that this is probably the only game where you're fetching things for a 'tower cow'. Very difficult though, and way too easy to go off screen -- and then stay there.

Unminor by Sébastien Bernery 2014-04-29T18:59:00

A clever interpretation of the theme, not sure about the controls, but still a pretty neat take on the classic Minesweeper formula!

Reaper by LastResortGames 2014-05-03T19:41:00

Why did I keep dying?

Planet Improver by udo 2014-05-13T19:34:00

Awesome take on the theme, and super impressive for "just" a browser game!

BENEATH the SURFACE by soy_yuma 2014-05-09T19:20:00

A wonderful take on the theme with a great Sentris-esque aesthetic and probably one of the best finales of the jam. Great work!

Beneath by nicso 2014-04-30T19:27:00

Neat concept, would have loved to see it taken further, but really tough. It's also too easy to get killed by coming up under a box; maybe doing that should just push you aside instead?

Skolgbor by Nik Sudan 2014-05-09T21:14:00

You always make something awesome, Nik. Great as always!

Arctic Antics by Miltage 2014-05-09T17:23:00

Love it! Great art and sound, awesome concept, incredibly difficult.

Growing Weird Plants by aeveis 2014-04-29T15:15:00

I really like the sandbox element, but moving stuff around can be a bit frustrating. I did like it when I was able to 'capture' stuff in my organism (?) so maybe grabbing stuff should be a bit easier? Still, the basic idea of just working to grow plants is really neat!

DEEP SEA FREEDIVER by alwaysinbeta 2014-05-04T03:21:00

I like that this is essentially the same idea and engine as my game, except that this is under water while mine is under ground. Pretty fun! That lady is *demanding*

moar plz. Would love to see a massive exploration game like this with different bases to explore, etc.

Heavenly Finger Squad by Alexandre Szybiak 2014-09-01T19:25:00

Really unique concept; probably the first defend-heaven-with-god's-fingers game I've played.

Starlight Cowboy by pinion 2014-08-27T13:52:00

Interesting concept, I couldn't really tell which universe I was in.

Star Bridger by xhunterko 2014-08-28T01:01:00

I like the idea, although having to walk on the bridges seems unnecessary. You need to recycle those stars though, they're slowing you down!

ConnectTheWorlds by mrexcessive 2014-09-01T19:29:00

I can't burn? Burning seems to do nothing.

Escape This Place by Demorro 2014-08-27T14:02:00

Neat take on the VVVVVVV concept, ran a bit choppy on my computer, which made it hard to play.

Level-Sync by chongdashu 2014-08-27T13:01:00

Really incredible concept; offers a lot of depth and is truly unique. I would love to see more of this!

Space Sheep by bitpuncher 2014-08-27T01:22:00

Good start! The black hole was neat-looking.

Neon Highway by francoisvn 2014-08-28T00:49:00

Really solid! I like the concept but it was super difficult to keep track of everything.

Bound by grayhaze 2014-08-28T00:39:00

Unpredictable level transitions made things a bit confusing, but I like the procedural elements.

Constellation by nxT 2014-08-28T00:52:00

Very neat little trading sim, if it were a bit easier to play, it'd be a hit for sure.

Isles in the Sky by Tanner 2014-09-01T19:35:00

Not a bad 3D game for the browser, but my computer choked on it.

Ambitious concept, but a bit rough in execution.

Goblin Rush by goblin 2014-12-09T12:54:00

Helga Kills Everything by mutatedsoftware 2014-12-09T04:27:00

Tower Game by mail929 2014-12-10T13:17:00

Really great use of zoom as the game progresses, and a pretty solid mini-SimTower over all. Would love to have seen it expanded even further!

Lull by WatercressStudios 2014-12-09T03:52:00

Interesting take on the theme, in terms of showing the same shot of the town over time. Didn't expect the story to take the path that it did, and I was glad that I played it through to the end. Very awesome!

Electric Jezebel by OttersDen 2014-12-09T04:02:00

Ice Story ( koori monogatari 氷物語 ) by Christina Antoinette Neofotistou 2015-04-27T00:02:00

Incredible art of course, and a really fun throwback to the kinds of games that inspired you. The first level was harder than all the rest! And the combat was a bit complicated (probably using C would have been better than Z+X) but it was great overall!

Valley of the Farting Unicorn by CartoonJenn 2015-04-23T03:02:00

Deadly Darkness by ahnt 2015-04-21T12:02:00

Really like the concept, but I felt like I could "cheat" by going into the light briefly. It might have been more interesting if the light killed you, but there were some times where I was in a shadow but getting hurt.

Looks amazing but REALLY tough! How do you even get past all those guys? I ended up just jumping on and then past them.

Love the unusual "engine" you chose, very funny, and truly weird!

Possession by akymos 2015-04-21T12:08:00

A bit wonky but a neat concept!

Selfie Assault! by mint 2015-04-25T04:12:00

I love this. It would be neat if you could only use the reverse camera, and if maybe the boxes moved or posed a threat in some way? But I really love the concept overall.

Blooper Bash Foes by Wumbo 2015-04-25T18:41:00

Fun, but I got stuck to the ground a lot.

Sir Sprout and the Semi-Aquatic Rodent Menace by dydx 2015-04-23T02:36:00

Really great! I love the sprites and their fun, silly animations and there are TONS of levels (I got stuck tho). Yay HaxeFlixel!

WEEABO QUEST by akios 2015-04-26T15:48:00

Quirky little arena shooter, not bad! But after the first round my mouse stopped working :(

Popup Stick by Larry 2015-04-23T02:40:00

Really simple but quite fun!

HEAT by Frenchie 2015-04-25T17:49:00

Pretty easy, and the weapon seemed pretty conventional TBH, but it was fun!

HEAT by Frenchie 2015-04-25T18:37:00

In response to your comment on my game; I played for a while and then there was some text that seemed to hint at an upcoming boss fight, but then the enemies stopped coming and nothing happened for a long time. :(

Robo Mission by pixzleone 2015-04-23T03:00:00

Very tough to understand, but hacking is always cool!

Blabblelogue by ciaodavinci 2015-04-25T04:22:00

Strangely, very captivating. I kept talking to people, even though I didn't know if I was doing well or not. I would love an expansion where you have to find the right speech pattern to impact the others' mood based on their facial expression!

Beacon by SayHiBen 2015-04-25T19:08:00

Pretty fun! I think shooting stuff is a bit conventional though.

A Snowball's Chance by diiq2 2015-04-25T17:37:00

Doesn't necessarily fit the theme, but I really enjoyed it! Took a bit for me to realize that it was heat and not light, and that the boxes were on tracks. But it's real pretty!

Crookman by wearehomebound 2015-04-23T02:48:00

Far more fun than I expected! A really neat and fun idea.

A Toolbox of One by BlakeB 2015-04-25T17:41:00

I had no idea what I was doing.

Neat idea but a bit wonky!

"Hack the guard" ok

LIGHT by MSiddeek 2015-04-25T17:52:00

I liked this a lot! The idea of sending signals to eventually open doors was cool. Unfortunately if you messed up you had to completely restart, which is a bit sad.

Escape from the Prison Planet by roving-stone 2015-04-23T02:57:00

A tough-as-nails Solar Jetman? Too tough for me, but really nice!
