Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant.
A very moving game that was put together. Nice job. You captured emotion really well, and the idea of giving up everything you have for others because you are alone is an effective use of the theme. Would be even more saddening if there were some light music in the background. Great effort, and the art looks like it took a while to draw out in the sketchy style.
A pretty decent game, and the fact that you did it in such a short time amazes us minor developers. It seems a bit unfair how you had the the inspiration of your own game from the beginning of the compo, but there's nothing against it, and you put it together really well. This could be quite the good game if more elements were added to it. Nicely done.
The game itself is not bad, but I really do think that a lot more could be added, whether it's the graphical style or gameplay. I played it and got a half decent score, but I didn't have any fun. It's a really nice concept though, and could be expanded a lot more to make something good - the whole idea of trying to leave an object alone hasn't really occurred to anyone.
What a very peculiar game. But this is the norm for you, eh Pixel? I didn't really get most of it until I read the comments here. Maybe some more detailed instructions at the beginning? Because I was running around aimlessly smashing Z and jumping up and down constantly. Nice try though.
Very original simplistic idea - it's really quite cool. It would be more annoying if when you almost got to the top, someone then boards it up. Good project!
Graphically amazing, and a half decent idea. But controlling the game was very frustrating, as my mouse kept on moving out of the screen. Game could have run a bit smoother, but it is fine for what it is. I had lots of fun climbing the highest mountain at the end.
@Pixel They're the dead corpses rolling. Something with the masks went wrong.
This game is a work of art Knite. It should be framed and put up in a gallery for people of all kinds to witness. The dialogue must have taken ages to plan and write. The music: hours and hours of scoring pages of complicated melodies and harmonies. I still don't know how you did this in 48 hours.
Interesting concept. Good for a game made in 5 hours, but could become greatly expanded into somewhat of a highly original game if more work were to be taken onto it. Nice job!
Evolution was shown pretty well here. Although I liked the idea, the graphics could have done with more of a push, and the repeating sound is just annoying.
Thanks everyone for the positive feedback! If anyone needs any help when playing, refer to the readme.
Currently game maker doesn't have a mac export, which kinda sucks.
If you want something to beat, try and beat 1204 years with 45 kills ;) https://twitter.com/NikSudan/status/240023026245193728/photo/1/large
@commanderstitch That's nothing to do with the game mate ;)
This game may be about shit, but it certainly isn't shit. Really funny xD
I found the whole concept really enjoyable, nice work.
Very well executed, but I found that the character's shoes were unnecessarily slippery. Nice work though!
Nice one, worked very well and went with the theme nicely too.
Interesting idea
Addicting game, I can see this as one of those games on smart phones where people have to wait in real time for those schemes to be completed.
Nice maze game, although a lot more could have been added to make the game more promising. I actually made it through the maze with the 'hug the left wall' trick. Nice ending picture :)
This game ticks all the boxes, it's extremely polished. And you included the goat as well, nice one with that. I kept on smirking at the horrific jokes Robin kept on making.
A nice little game, I had fun playing. Nice work. Naturally I jumped off the castle into the endless abyss right at the end
Nice little game, got a bit repetitive.
Very addicting
For what it is so far, it's definitely good.
Dang, that's good. Deepnight standard of games, eh?
All of them in general really, they all have evil minds
sin for the win
Thanks for the great comments so far! Yeah, I know the screen tilt is a bit excessive at times, but it just suits the game I guess. And I'm used to using it. Believe me, the tilt was about twice as much before I submitted it. As for points: people and houses give you points when destroyed/killed so be sure to constantly aim at them when you can! Houses can only be destroyed by missiles. Use the launcher to shoot at the ground when you have a chance and use the machine gun to shoot the oncoming jets. The faster jets have less health so be sure to aim for those first. They also give you lots more points. With fuel cans, all you need to do is hover your mouse over it to obtain more fuel, so be sure to do so! The longer you leave collecting the fuel can, the longer you'll take to get your robot's arm back to a decent position, so grab it as soon as possible. Also if you play for more than 3 minutes, there's a keychange in the song OMG
I'm not crazy either
Thanks all for the feedback so far! I enjoyed making the game, as it was something a lot different for me. I've always made music in this style and I thought it would be nice if I made something that went with it. I know the platforming isn't the nicest, heck sometimes I hate it. But I'm not a platformer guy, and I hate physics :P. Spent ages trying to fix collision bugs. For walljumps, just hold space instead of pushing em everytime you hit a wall - it comes out a lot easier.
Nice game! I do like a good puzzler. The timer makes me rush ahead when I should be focusing and trying to beat the level. Some sounds and a calm track/ambience in the background would have made the experience a lot more immersive.
Really well made!
The game was actually pretty fun, I thought from the menu it would be a joke game. Solid entry!
Hilarious, but very difficult to handle. Still, pretty fun just blowing up your opponent most of the time.
I had fun playing this! I really liked it! Neat little arcade game. I got 101 points before I panicked and started to spin around. I really liked the animations.
Simple idea. Game was pretty fun, and I liked the graphical style. I did think the jumping ability was very sudden. Would have benefited from other elements in the game such as items to collect or enemies to avoid. I liked the swaying camera.
Nice idea, but I can't feel my finger now :P
Haha, I really liked this! Really fun! I thought the upgrade mechanic was implemented really well, good job.
Really confused with this - how do I actually progress?. Seems like a fun little arena shooter though!
How peculiar
Looks very tasty, and felt very satisfying.
The game looked great, but in terms of gameplay I didn't think that it was the best. At times I was hitting A and S randomly, which made me progress further than I was before, when I was trying to play properly. Some music would have made it a lot more engaging too!
@gmfk07 What else is there to life other than to obtain free samples?
