Wasn't able to go past the first level. Not your fault though, I just suck at this.

Wasn't able to go past the first level. Not your fault though, I just suck at this.
I like the style. It was kind of hard, in a way (not used to this type of game) but I enjoyed it.
Really good!
Made me hungry.
Good thing I live alone. My mom wouldn't allow me to play this game. Good game, I give it 666/666.
Not bad!
That sucks. Put it back up :'(
The technical achievement is awesome. The game needs polishing. I don't know how this fits into the theme, though.
Very cool idea. Can be hard to make it work on some parts, but it's good still!
Very nice! It runs so slow on web though!
Cool concept. The controls are so-so, but I liked the idea. Maybe add some warp effect to make it look better?
Hahaha. Pee-o-meter? This is one of the first games to actually make me laugh. Good job!
Good job!
Frustrating and hard. But fun, really fun. Your character sprite is broken though, maybe you could fix it eventually!
Difficult and the graphics put me off a bit. I feel like it could work better if it had better graphics. It was fun, still!
Wow, awesome concept and execution!
Wow, I am amazed at the fact that you managed to do this in 48h. Really cool!
Really nice game. I hate the bomb though!
Yo man, what is wrong with you? Those enemies were both CUTE AND CREEPY. It's nice to see that good games like this one can be made in Construct 2!
Now, this is my kind of game!
@xgeovanni Because you're a cactus.
@xgeovanni It's your machine. I didn't change the game.
Keybaord!Weird, I liked it.
City of Death? That's a title that I like! I liked the style of your game. The sprites need some polishing, but damn, how did you manage to make the game so immersive? Then noise in the screen can be a little bit too much, but I see what you were trying to do. To be honest, it's one of my favorite games so far. Good work!
Good idea, but the graphics made it weird. Me likes.
Wow, that game had some trouble running. But it was good. Very good!
So hard.I made child sad :'(
Good game. Although it's just spamming a button!
Wow. My favorite game so far. I love it!
It's a cool idea and I love this type of game but it was hard to figure out how to beat the enemies.
Pretty cool gameplay and art. I enjoyed it! It took me a while to figure out that I had to wait after the "GO!"
Hahaha, nice!
Couldn't get the game to run for some reason... huh
You... I like your game.
Very nice game, pretty original! Loved the music, too.
Wow, this game was really good. My favorite one so far! As SojaBird said : this gameplay is worth exploring more!
Could hear music but game didn't start? Just letting you know.
I liked games in which I can be an asshole. Thank you for letting me be one.
Enjoyed the game but got a bit repetitive after a while. I would have liked to see a bit more variety in the enemies. It's a great game, don't get me wrong, but I felt like something was missing.
Wow, I can't wait until this is made into a bigger game.
Crazy graphics!
Flappy Bird meets what's beneath the surface.
I really liked it even though it's really hard. I wish it wouldn't restart at level one every time. I feel like this is a design decision that you've made knowing the frustration it would cause, but could you explain a bit more about why you implemented it this way?
Loved the graphics and the overall feel of it. Challenging but rewarding at the same time. Well done!
Really elegant design. I'm impressed!
Very, very hard game. Had a hard time figuring out some of the puzzles. But! It was fun to explore and discover the mechanics that made progression possible. Keep it up!
Wanted to try this one but it seems to be broken. Too bad! Hit me up on twitter if you fix it! @theotheralvaro
Pretty cool idea, I had a hard time understanding the "win" conditions, but I still won!
Really nice presentation, though there isn't much of a challenge. I liked discovering what the game was about, but I would have liked to do more stuff.
Simple game and it looks nice. One issue I had is when I press UP, the whole screen would go up and it was kind of annoying.
Nice and simple concept that can get pretty hard after a while. While the gameplay is somewhat limited, I like it's simplicity. Believe it or not, I find your game relaxing.
I saw this game while it was in development and had a hard time understanding what it was all about. With the graphics you added it all makes sense.
There is something deeply unsettling about this game, and cute at the same time.
Nice mechanic and everything, but this game went way over my head. I can't get it :'(
Really cool idea to make it a ROM. You'd be able to put it on a physical cartridge, though?
The game pretty slow, didn't get to enjoy most of it. Very simple and it's functional, but not very fun at the moment.
I didn't really get the game mechanics and the visuals didn't seem to fit well together. The atmosphere was weird, which I liked, but I didn't quite get the game on itself.
The game works well, but it lacks some more gameplay elements to make it interesting. For now it's just grinding and everything is very simple, which makes it repetitive quite fast.
Really liked how you used upgrades and some simple mechanics to allow the player to explore. There wasn't much of a challenge though... and if there was, I didn't get the chance to get to it. Good job, I enjoyed this one!
Took me a while to figure out but I really liked the texture mechanic, never seen it before!
I played it again (the right version) and loved the mechanic. You got my comments during the stream, so you already know pretty much what I think about it, heh.
I really enjoyed the delve mechanic and the whole "reveal past" thing. It could be explored more in order to make a full fleshed game.
Loved the music. I'm a sucker for games where there's a grid, so I liked this one. Good job!
I liked the aesthetics of the game and its simplicity. However, I would have liked to have of a challenge for exploration to be more exciting.
Great game!
Hey, it's not a web link if I have to download it, eh? Heh...
I'm all for games that try to go to new places, so I give you that. But sometimes some things don't go well together, and in this case, the whole RPG element falls apart because it's more of a guessing game that anything else. Again, I appreciate how you tried to mix two genres together. Keep it up.
Really good game. The mechanic is pretty original. I would play this a lot on mobile.
Maybe I didn't get it but this was frustrating but not very rewarding.
You are not a nice person. You are good at making great games, though.
Nice take on the infinite runner "genre". The fact that I could move the mouse around made the game kind of easy in the beginning. Nice difficulty progression and challenges. I could see more upgrades and stuff to make the player want to try it over and over.
Love the music, the animations, the concept. You need to release the soundtrack!
Fun little game. Why do bubbles kill me, tho!
The game works well but I would have liked it to be more "clear" on the winning conditions. Also, a little bit more variety when it comes to challenged would have been nice. I enjoyed exploring it, I wish there was more to discover. Like the music!
I liek destroying thing.
I think the game could have used a mini-map or shown the enemies before I encountered them. Now, the player has to die at least once before he can finish a level.
I enjoyed playing it and the puzzles are pretty cool. The music is nice too.
What a beautiful game. The character is pretty cute!
Really cool concept. Fun story!
I liked the way you interpreted the theme and how you used it with the colour scheme you chose. Collisions are a bit strange sometimes, maybe it's just me...
nice game. I like the options... heh.
I really liked the style of your game. Good work with the story and the enemies. Keep it going, I think you'll get better and better!
Had quite a bit of fun with this one. Very well made. Maybe with a better presentation, it could make a really good game?
@furriKira, you have to drag and drop the post-its to get the character to the goal.
Ugh! This game makes me feel uneasy. I really like where you took the theme.
The physics were a bit weird but the game was still very fun. I enjoyed playing through it.
Nice music, felt weird when I was out of the water. I really likes the mix between 8-bit graphics and 3D ones.
I like your style a lot. I think the character's physics are a little bit annoying (the screen moves a lot, it's weird to me at least). I wish there were enemies to make it more challenging!
I liked the game as in, it had good atmosphere and a nice style. However, there is very little "gameplay" or challenge I feel and I found myself guessing a lot about what I was supposed to do. I liked it, still.
I liked the game as in, it had good atmosphere and a nice style. However, there is very little "gameplay" or challenge I feel and I found myself guessing a lot about what I was supposed to do. I liked it, still.
And the music, oh the music. Loved it.
Game runs VERY slow on my computer for some reason.
Loves the art style and the story telling. Weird gameplay tho.
Had a hard time figuring out what I had to do. It's kind of weird, but I like it.
Nice concept!
Nice concept but there's some stuff that made it difficult to get. The game physics and looks didn't make very clear what I had to do. Nice effort and idea though!
This was a fun game / experience. I could get past the bugs and actually enjoy the gameplay, which was well balanced. The level design is what I liked the most, since it worked pretty well with the mechanics (which you made very clear from the beginning).
Game was stuck on the main screen. :S
I really like this concept and how you put it together.
I didn't really get what the player was supposed to do.
Neat idea!
Took me a while to understand the controls. I was like "OMG, so many things to keep in mind". Your game is ambitious, and I like where you took it. I didn't really like the music, though.
I really enjoyed testing your work. I am quite impressed. I would like to see more of your stuff, please keep working on this one, you're off to a great start!
The game is a little bit slow which makes it very easy. I managed to survive as long as I wanted by just going to the left of the screen.
I enjoyed how you included different aspects of the social life of the world you were trying to illustrate. I liked taking the role of the editor and being a good servant to my government. (p.s : fuck the rebels).
Had a hard time getting it, but I liked the atmosphere. It would be nice if the game had some animations too.
You managed to make something very special with very simple things. I really like where you took this. I'm putting this in my "game to plays when I'm high" folder.
Loved this game. I guess it's connected to the theme because it takes place underground and the characters are spelunkers?
This is like a boxing NIDHOGG.
Couldn't play it, but would have liked to!
As you could see, it took me a while to understand the mechanic. I think the tutorial should be a little bit more clear. When I "got it" I started having fun with it... but I was unsure the whole time if I actually was doing the right thing or not.
Took me a while to figure it all out but I like your concept a lot. It's nice to be the bad guy!
So tense. Poor baby. Poor woman. Poor kid.
THANKS OBAMA.
I enjoyed playing this game. It's almost like it's two games at the same time, that you've put together in a very solid manner. Good job, keep it up!
I wish this game had some animations / better graphics to help the immersion. The gameplay and the idea on themselves are great already. You should keep it working on it!
Very well made game and would be very fun for me if it wasn't so slow-paced. It takes so long to move, buy, go down to the surface, come back, etc. It takes the fun away to wait so long to do everything.
I liked the ideas around it and how everything worked. If only it could be delivered a bit faster, it would have been perfect in my opinion.
Beautiful game. Very cool and subtle use of very well known mechanics (?). I enjoyed this a lot!
Woah, loved how there's a trace that follows the vehicles!
This game offended me.
Really nice mechanics and art. The split screen impressed me!
Really great concept. I enjoy games like this. However, there was something missing, like some type of challenge or lose condition.
Overall, a good experience.
Took me a while to realize there was another world. Nice take on the theme.
I had hard time understanding what I was supposed to do and there didn't seem to be much of an objective.
I still lost, somehow!
I love the graphics and the style of the game, it has a very unique feel to it. I got stuck after the balloon part, what did I have to do at that point?
Nice game, kept me on my feet the whole way through. Challenging enough to keep me going until the end!
I was a bit confused by the game. Is it an exploration game? Cool little experiment, but I think it need something more to be a full-fleshed game.
Very, very cool game. Nice job!
There are some nice features and ideas in this game. It is a little bit repetitive and there are some things that are hard to understand (why is it so sandy? Why is it so slow? etc.)
Nice atmosphere, artwork and audio, but I just couldn't figure out what to do! I waited until the night ;(
Very moody piece. I enjoyed it :)
This is a really cool idea and it worked well during the stream. It is pretty short, but it's all about having a nice coop experience with other people!
Fun concept and lovely art style. Kinda buggy and short, but shows what you were going for.
The game's quite simple, but it works! Good job. However, I don't see how it's related to the theme?
Very nice art style, sound and mood!
Great presentation. Felt like a very well done short-movie in game-form (if that makes any sense).
Would have liked it to be longer, but the game is great for what it is!
@Drew Van Camp not really, I scrapped them because they weren't any good!
Cute game, felt very educational. Hand-drawn graphics are something I love, so you got something going there!
The only complaint I have, is that the game felt like a grindfest at a certain point and I gave up (lvl 60 in everything?... no thanks!). The mini-games are fun for a while and it's really cool to discover the content as you progress in the game.
Very difficult and iffy, but I liked the mechanic. I'll try it again in "co-op" mode.
Game looks nice and is pretty fun, even though the mechanic is not fully "balanced". I really enjoyed the music!
Great overall design and elegant presentation. The game got too difficult for me at a certain point and I just couldn't figure it out, but I enjoyed the atmosphere and "feel" of the game.
Such a simple, but fun game. Would play a full version of this on my cellphone or PC.
Fun game, but a little bit buggy here and there. Lack of feedback made it hard to understand what was going on. Nice level design and subtle effects.
Had some issues running it (everything went a bit too fast) and there were a few game-breaking bugs and compatibility issues that made it hard for me to enjoy it.
Good effort and keep it up.
Great game, you already got my comments so there's point in repeating them! (heh...)
This game is creepy.
Crashed during gameplay, I'm on windows 8.
Really fun!
The game mechanic is elegant and works well, however, once you figure out the "trick", there isn't much of a challenge. There is enough content included in the game to entertain me for a bit, but I just wish there was more of a difficulty curve.
I would definitely expand on it.
My definition of a (shitty (((((game))))).
))

Weird and unique (theme-wise). I managed to break it and to survive... for ever, hehe.
I wonder how the top player managed to get that score. I'm either terrible or I just didn't understand how to make a lot of points.
Nice little game, I enjoyed it!
Very realistic jumping mechanics (we discussed this over my stream and that's what we figured would be the best (and first) thing to say about your game).
The main character is funny and the goal is clear. There isn't much of a "challenge" however. Also, some parts of the level design seem unfair, as I couldn't see if I was jumping into a void or towards a platform.
I was only able to play two levels. I didn't quite get how to advance, so I had to do some trial and error.
Nice RTS game for the time you had to make it. I wish there was a way to select multiple units at once.
Sadly, the main mechanic of the game doesn't work... I wish it did, it seemed to be a cool idea.
? FOR FIRE? I just couldn't figure it out. Luckily, I saw @sprawl's comment and ended up figuring it out. I like the variety of ships and weapons, but when you're actually in game, they all feel the same and the gameplay is easy / repetitive. It would be great if you could incorporate all the different weapons into a more robust game.
Really enjoyed the game, the mechanic worked perfectly and felt pretty new to me (never played a game like this one before).
Good job, once again!
Gave me a B-Movie vibe, which is always a good thing!
This game shows how much you've improved since your last one (of at least, how much effort you've put into this one). One of my favourites so far!
I tried it twice and noticed small changes. However, I hoped for a big change at the end but there wasn't any?
Haha, there's a game very similar to this one, with zombies in it too!
Very interesting entry. As I said on the stream, it needs some tweaks and polishing here and there, mostly for the graphics, level design and gameplay. Even with some of the kinks, I enjoyed it.
Looks nice, but the gameplay is somewhat tedious. Wish there was more. Bye.
Impeccable presentation, charming character and amazing music. It reminded me of Aero the Acrobat.
As silly as it may sound, this is one of my favorite games so far. Simple, clean and really nice aesthetics. A twist on a game that we all know and love. Really, this was executed in a very clean and clear fashion. Good job!
Kingdom of Loathing meets Magic the gathering. There is a lot of potential in this game. It would be a really cool browser game to play online :D
Reminded me of Nuclear Throne, a game that I love! So that's a good thing :D
Incredible submission. Too bad it's far from the theme, but everything that I like in a game is in there. The first time you go to water level and the sound changes really made the game for me. The care you put into the effects and making the game feel good really, really shows.
This is definitely a great piece, I hope you're very proud of it.
The game's graphics and music are excellent. I really liked that part. The gameplay, however, is too simplistic for me to play it longer than a couple of minutes. This would be a great mini-game in a bigger game made in this same style.
Also, the way the score is counted has some bugs that I didn't really understand.
Very nice presentation and quite difficult I found.
Me and my girlfriend enjoyed it. But you know that already :P
I think the core idea is cool but there are some flaws in the design as I told you during the stream yesterday. It needs some more work, because as it is now, it's confusing (at least for me). Cool concept, and really cool editor :D
Got someone to play with me and it was pretty cool and funny. I wish the presentation was a little bit less simplistic though.
Best game yet.
The premise is simple and the execution is too. I think this game could have been much more if you added some "juice" to it and a more consistent style. I do like the sound though, it's funny.
Hey, I'm not here to police or anything, but from what I can see you used a track you created before the compo? I saw this here : https://endesga.bandcamp.com/. I don't care, but it'd be cool, if it's the case, that you mention it so you opt out of the audio category.
holy shit
I'm into experimental stuff so you stimulated some parts of me that some games did not yet, this ld. good job.
Me gusto mucho la historia. Muy profuuuuuuundo.
Holly cow, that was hard. I feel like the game is missing something, feels a little bit too simple for me. I also think the music doesn't fit too much with the gameplay, even though it's good. All in all, a good effort. Keep up the good work.
We got a reverse-pacman situation going on here. Nice game.
Very trippy little adventure. I enjoyed the game, even though I think the physics need work. Also, there isn't much of a challenge in the game, except just exploring and triggering two events.
this game has swag. that all Imma say
peace.
A little bit buggy but an interesting entry. I really like the colour palette and the artstyle. Honestly, I find it a bit trippy (which is always good).
I got quickly confused about the game mechanics, but I did enjoy the overall idea. I think there may be ways to make the gameplay a bit more clear without so much text. So, in other words : you have something cool here, but you need to polish it up and make it less text-heavy. Good work!
Didn't work for me on Chrome!
Very good game. A simple concept, well put together with solid mechanics. Difficult, but enjoyable anyway.
I like vampire weekend.
The idea is pretty clever and what you have now gets across what you were trying to do. One thing that I really like is that, even though it's a text game, I don't have to guess the commands, you give them to me and you expand them as I go through the game more and more. I like the concept and enjoyed its implementation.
I didn't play the original game so I won't draw comparisons. The concept was absolutely new to me and I liked it a lot. I would have liked it even more if :
1) There was some kind of challenge. Something that would make the player time his jumps, or else he'd lose and start over (from N point)
2) The presentation was better. I think the way you drew the rectangles is OK but the main character needs a lot of work.
If you tweaked it some more and work on the presentation I think it would have been an even better experience. To be honest, I enjoyed it despite the problems I mentioned.
Keep up the good work.
Excellent presentation. It's quite a nice little experience.
Game starts very easily, almost too easy and becomes hell without announcing it to the player. I found it a bit confusing, like I was missing some cues to be able to succeed at the challenges the game was bringing upon me. The presentation also needs some work. I'm not very sure that background works well with the bright, neon-like characters. I'm pretty sure you can work out an alternative quite easily.
These guests were no fun!
Very cool idea. A bit buggy and took me some time to really get it, but it's very fun how you put it all together. And very funny, too!
Cool little game. I'm glad you made something with C2!
@alexfalkenberg you died? When you die, a new level is generated around you. Goes with the whole "whole game in one screen" thing.
@zatyka Glad you enjoyed it. I felt like this idea went with the theme, as you're always in the "same screen" but the level around you regenerates. Maybe it doesn't work as well as I thought though, but yeah... that was my interpretation of the theme. Thanks for the kind comment!
@pvtroswold It was inspired by Daniel Remar indeed, I even tweeted at him and he tried the game!
@LegacyCrono, You are the first superplayer of one of my games. Congratulations!
that was some solid poop haha.
Really cool concept and simple presentation!
Cute game. The rope is kinda weird and I wish you had had time to put sound in the compo version.
Nice game, but the controls are a little bit frustrating, the collisions a bit off and the game seems to lag a bit? It's still fun, but I had some problems with it. I'll play some more and get to the end later this week :D
I am not sure how the gameplay works, but I understand the main idea. I think the game needs to give some more feedback to the player about what is going on, because I was a bit lost. The presentation is functional, but the controls are a bit buggy. For example, if I hold down an arrow key, it caused issues (freezing, moving further than what I intended, etc.) In the end, it's a fun idea and you kept it simple, which is always good. With some more work, this could be a lot more fun.
I like how this game feels "fun". From the graphics to the gameplay, everything contributes to that "feel good" feeling. Good job.
All I said in the stream. Remember? :)
Really cool entry. I like how you made an effort to keep most things "in-theme", which is pretty hard and rare when you have such a limited time frame to make a game.
Hello fellow montrealer. Cool game. And even cooler because you made it with C2 :D
Thanks for making a game that made me feel ignorant, lol.
Robert is a cool guy. Reminds me of Sonic too!
Nice, I had never played a game like this before and I understood pretty quickly what I was supposed to do. You give the player good feedback while maintaining an in-style, minimalistic approach. Good job.
Felt weird at first, but once I understood, it got really cute haha. Nice work.
Really interesting concept and well executed. With some more feedback to the player, this could be a great one. This is the type of game that needs a lot of content to really create a sense of wonder and discovery for the player. Obviously, in 48h that's not a possibility, but what about... post-compo? :)
As a sidenote, I'm always very happy to see a fellow C2 user. Hello c2 brother!
Very well done pseudo-3D effect. I wish there was some more engaging elements to the gameplay. It's a visual treat, though, so I enjoyed it.
Really cool art and game-feel, but don't really understand what's the connection to the theme?
I had a hard time getting this game. I could only make a yellow pixel.
This game was a little bit unfair, as the user had no way to know where the snowballs were going and moving up and down wasn't really that useful in those cases.
It's a very cool toy. Do you have any ideas on how to bring some more gameplay / challenges into it?
Very solid spriting. The game is very difficult I found but the mechanics are interesting and solid. I wish I could have got further into it to see some more of them in effect.
The fog mechanic really makes the game. Good sound and ideas you put into this one. Cool stuff man.
The game freezes as it starts. I didn't quite get what I was supposed to do :S
Nice effort. Keep going, I liked it!
Interesting entry and a very good looking one. Keep it up!
As I said in the stream, this game needs some work. What is needs the most, is to make the things that are happening more obvious and what the player should be using.
I think this game is a pretty good effort. One piece of advice that I would like to give you, and that is not even game related, don't go around saying you're bad at anything. Just make something, show it around, and let people give you feedback for what you do. You shouldn't worry about being good or bad. You should be worrying about making stuff, as much as you can, because you like it. And that way, you'll become better at what you do. I think this game would have been better without you worrying about being a good story teller. Then again, it made the game charming in its own way.
Good job, keep it up.
It's a cool idea, but waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too short. I was getting hyped for some puzzles and action and shit :(
The screenshot intrigued me. The gameplay is pretty unique, I liked it!
Cool idea, but I felt gameplay was a little bit too slow. I liked the smartphone screen concept, I think it's a pretty clever take on the theme.
I think there's something here but I couldn't quite get what I was supposed to do. I might give it a try later. The first time I played I died really quickly. The second one I stayed alive but wasn't sure of what I was supposed to do. It seems to have potential, but I just couldn't understand it completely... or enough, to have fun with it.
Fun idea but it's lacking gameplay-wise. I think there's a lot of potential and the game already has a nice athmosphere to it. Adding some more mechanics could make it into something fun and engaging.
everything i said on the stream. :)
Woah, this was pretty cool. The presentation is impeccable. The only problem I had was with the flow of the game. It doesn't teach us very well what to do, it throws us right into it. Specially the second part (you're ON the screen), I really didn't get what was going on. Some of the effects were very neat too!
As I said on the stream, this game is nice as it is but could much better. If the graphics were worked more and the game balance too (with some added gameplay mechanics) there could be something pretty fun. As it is now, it's pretty hard/unfair and I could never finish it :(
Really cool concept. I enjoyed it even though I had some trouble solving some of the puzzles.
The controls are a bit off. I wish I could shoot with left click. The tiles look nice but the characters don't really "fit" well with the setting, or at least that was my impression. Gameplay feels solid, but it needs better controls.
A really nice spiritual sequel to One Take. Maybe this whole concept could be expanded into a whole game about filmmaking? (acting, cinematography, lighting, editing, etc). I'd play that.
Flawless presentation. The controls are a bit difficult, but honestly it feels very fun. Good job!
Looks cool, I wish there was a Windows version !
I'm just gonna say WOW.
Cool stuff dude!
Very nice story and storytelling. However, I do feel like the movement and animation is too slow. And the game start is a bit too difficult. I also like the visual style, it fits the theme and the story.
Cool stuff. I liked the combat mechanics and the gathering aspect of the game. I'm not sure if my evolution had any consequences on stats (attack / flee skills) but I ended up finding the game a bit easy and repetitive. Unsure if it was because of lack of balance or just because I was getting good at it, lol.
Great implementation of the themes and amazing graphics and gameplay. This is one of the best games I've played so far and I think it is of professional level.
A full version of this game would be really cool, as well as an infinite one.
Buen trabajo!
Really fun and well executed. I like the simplicity of it, the implementation of different mechanics and the presentation. I wish the background wasn't white and that the whole map was visible for some of the puzzles. Overall I liked it a lot, as I said on the stream.
Even though I got the ugliest tamagochi I could get, I had fun with this. I would totally play a full version of this, if you keep working on it!
Really fun and solid game. I wish I was better at it, but from what I could see there's quite a lot of content and nice items that you can gather to build your Hamster-spaceship thingy. Great stuff.
I kept calling it xHamster. The stream discovered my dark side.
I think the game idea is great and the main mechanics are well implemented. However, the way the bees appear make it a bit unfair for the player to avoid them.
I also think the game would benefit from a consistent visual style and some tweaks here and there. But I already said all of this on the stream. Good job!
I loved this game and how well everything works together. I wish the game was complete (I couldn't lose).
Anyway, great job!
Very nice take on the theme. As usual, your graphics are amazing as well as your gameplay ideas. I just wish there was more to it, a bit more challenges and such.
Anyway, it was prettyyy cool!
This is a well-made game with good graphics. And although it is not my type of game, I can appreciate the effort put into it. I hope my feedback during the stream was useful to you guys.
Good job!
This game has one of the most solid and original presentations I've seen so far. Obviously, I'm talking from personal preference.
I think a couple of tweaks on the visual side - making the UI tighter, things a bit more clear and getting rid of the text - would go a long way to make this game even more awesome. This is one of my personal favorites so far, even if it is pretty simple, I can see a lot of promise in it!
Simple and well executed. I did encounter some issues when it comes to graphics and clarity of gameplay, but overall the game works and is cohesive enough to guarantee a fun gameplay experience. I do wish there was more to it, though.
I don't want to give a review that will spoil the game, but I really like how you start playing by thinking that you chose one theme, but in reality, it's the other.
Or is it both?
HUH.
I got addicted to this game. Please make more levels.
Very nice implementation of the two button theme. I think the game is too difficult from the get-go though, it would have been nice to ease in the player so that he can get used to the mechanics.
I did enjoy the game though and thought it was great, BUT I'm the type of person that likes difficult games.
Nice presentation and gameplay. I think the fuel mechanic isn't completely clear and I wasn't convinced by the use of primitive forms in the second and third level, but the whole look of the game is very tight despite that little detail.
It is fun, and have a clever control scheme. Being a lover of challenging games, I quite enjoyed this one.
I really liked level 666.
I enjoyed playing this one. I think there are some childish qualities that really made me enjoy this game, and the gameplay being so simple, I found myself playing it a couple of times to beat my score.
I didn't find any major issues, which so far is pretty unique in itself :P
As others have said, the game was a bit too cryptic and difficult to understand for me. But somehow, I had a lot of fun playing it - isn't that weird?
If you made things a bit more clear for the player, this game would be solid. It already seems to have the basis for some interesting gameplay elements, a solid camera, cool graphics, etc.
It's only a matter of communicating what the game is about to the player, as he plays it. Tutorials, maybe?
Nice presentatio, although I'm not quite sure how the game fits the theme. I've pretty much said most things I have to say about this game on the stream. Hope my feedback was useful!
Youtubers have to play this thing.
This had a very arcade-y feel, solid gameplay - although a bit cryptic at first - and nice game design ideas.
I enjoyed playing it, a lot. However, I felt like the placement of the vines and bees was a bit random and sometimes it would cause the game to be unfair. Besides that minor inconvinience, I think this is a solid game!
The core game mechanic is really cool, although I'm not sure the implementation is the best it could be. I really enjoyed playing it though. One thing I think the game would benefit from is a change in the background colour.
Anyway, fun stuff. Maybe tweaking the main mechanic a little bit could make the game a lot better!
This game has nice graphics, a nice gameplay idea and cool gameplay elements. However, it is made very difficult because of the controls and unforgiving level design.
I wish there was another way to control the character, as I do like the concept of using level hazards to kill the enemies and being sneaky about it (or should I say snacky?)
Although this is not my type of game and I had a lot of difficulty understanding the main mechanics, I can see that a lot of work was put into this and that people that are into this type of game would enjoy it.
This gets the perfect score from me. I like bold games, with innovative gameplay ideas and a strong game design philosophy. This game is not only cryptic, but it is also solid on its reflexion on the genre that it's borrowing from, the art-style that it employs as well as the theme from this LD edition.
One of my personal favorites so far.
This is a pretty cool game. It lacks balance and maybe some scenarios, but I think that if you developed it further it could be really cool to play.
Congratulations on making such a cool jam game with C2, I love it too!
Being the highscore holder in the World, I have to say I enjoyed this game quite a bit. The main mechanic isn't quite as clear as the developers intended it to be, but not understanding it - killing the enemies at a slow pace - does not hinder gameplay experience.
All in all, it's a fun game, with a cool world and gameplay. I enjoyed it quite a bit.
Cool entry with cool ideas. I mentioned a couple of issues to you on stream, but I had a lot of fun with this one!
I think this game has a clean and clever design, both graphically and gameplay-wise.
I enjoyed playing through it as I enjoy rhythm and skill-based games. The presentation is great, although I do believe that a couple of more details here and there, as well as some tweaking on the color palette would make this game even better. That said, it's already great as it is.
Great gamefeel and elegant controls. I enjoy this type of game and art, so I felt like I was home when I played this one.
Great stuff!
I trolled this troll game.
Really fun game. Simple, but super effective look. I enjoyed the level design for the most part - besides a couple of cheap deaths you put here and there. The idea is well executed, the goals are clear and the fact that you allow the player to progress even if he didn't get all the coins is a really good idea.
I enjoyed playing through this one, even though I broke it at the end :P
Cool stuff Jakyl! I hope my feedback on the stream was useful and it made sense.
I liked it a lot. The bomb combos were fun to play with and I think the game would benefit from some more of that.
I was a bit confused as to what I supposed to do. I didn't get that I had to jump on the lumberjack to get rid of him and keep planting trees. Gameplay was a bit repetitive and simple, but I am on board with the idea of trying to convey a message with game mechanics and theme.
I think the graphics could have used a bit more work as well as the gameplay, but I do think that the game has some funny qualities and it's a nice, albeit simple, take on the theme.
Great take on the theme, great visual effects and overall, a fun gameplay experience. I think the game needs to give some more feedback to the player as to what is happening / when he is being damaged / etc., but besides that I had a lot of fun playing this one, as you could see on the stream.
I'm on board for all the sillyness this game has to offer. Gameplay is functional, graphics are a inconsistent and the level design could be a lot better. However, as I played this I could see that the people who made this had a lot of fun and that was a cool experience for me to play it on the stream, where we were also having fun while watching / playing this game.
I think the ideas that you had for this game do show through the short gameplay experience that you offer, but the game suffers from lack of development and some graphical choices that I wasn't quite on board with (erasing text with paint and just writing on top of it freehand, for example).
I think that if you took some more time to develop it and dig deeper into the ideas you had, this game would have been better and more enjoyable. As it is, it's a bit too basic and incomplete for me to give you any other specific or useful feedback.
I loved this game. Besides the presentation, which could be improved, the core game idea is really solid, as well as the level design.
I really hope you push this further and come up with something interesting. But most of all, I hope you send me a free key if it ever goes commercial :P
Very nice take on the theme. I think this games does well with its simple gameplay, graphics and story. And when I say simple, I mean it in a good way : this game is clean, cohesive and beautiful.
Great job.
As I said on the stream, if this game had a bit more features it would be a cool game in its genre. A couple of more effects here and there, more animations, etc. and this would be pretty cool to play on my phone.
A-MAZING
I enjoyed this game and liked the simplicity of it. The only issue I had was the controls, which I find problematic. I'm sure that being able to stop and not being constantly moving would allow the player to move with more accuracy and thus, make the game more fun and fair.
Great job!
The main pieces of what could be a good game are here, but the way they are implemented make the game a bit too difficult.
I hope the feedback I gave during the stream was useful to you!
Simple, but solid, fun and engaging. I really liked this entry and I hope you will keep working on it a bit. It was difficult, but just the right amount. The presentation could be even better, but as it stands right now, I found it appealing.
Cool stuff. Welcome to LD!
Cool game mechanics and excellent idea. I hope you keep working on it, making it tighter and communicating exactly what the game is all about from the get go. I really enjoyed this, so if you do work some more on it let me know!
This is Drive meets Train Simulator. Short, but really nice game. I enjoyed playing and beating this game :D
I think this shows some promise and that if you take it in the right direction, it could become a great game. Keep at it! You already had me interested with this basic prototype.
Cool game. I can tell a lot of effort and hard work went into this one. The game is super solid, as well as the story, which is pretty funny too.
The main issue I had though, is that I didn't know why I lost when I did. Some type of indication of progress or of the minimum requirements to survive would go a long way to make the game a bit more clear. Besides that, I think the UI is great, the graphics and gameplay too.
Really cool take on a beloved classic. The graphics are amongst the best I've seen on the jam. The gameplay is really good too, but I think you guys made it a bit too hard on the player.
Maybe more checkpoints, or making it clear when you reach one, could help this game be even better!
I would say the game needs some polish to be really fun, but the basics are there and I enjoyed playing it and beating the developer high score, heheeheh.
I enjoyed playing this game even though I find some inconsistencies or part of the level design to be problematic. I think a couple of tweaks here and there would help this game stand out, which you can do for the post-compo version.
Cool stuff.
The game idea is nice and it works well. If there were some type of hazards or things to avoid it would be even cooler.
Good work!
Cool take on the theme. As I said on the stream, it would be cool if you pushed the presentation a bit more, to make it more appealing and addictive. But the basis is there, the premise is funny and the game was overall enjoyable.
I get high on this.
I'm all in for difficult games. But I also like it when they're fair. This game is a little too on the difficult side. The control mechanics are good and they feel solid. I think adding checkpoints to this game would have made a huge difference.
It is pretty cool as it is now, but adding checkpoints and improving the graphics will make the game even better!
YES. The atmosphere in this game, as well as the mechanics were awesome. Besides some technical issues, I think this game has all its ideas in its right places.
A bit of polish, maybe some more levels and more clarity regarding some of the mechanics - the different "height" in levels isn't very clear atm - would make this a great game.
I loved it. One of my personal favorites so far!
I love the visuals in this game, I think you guys nailed it.
I like danmaku games so I really enjoyed this. My main issue is the sound, as I already said. I will be looking at the source code for this, there might be a lot of stuff to learn for me!
