Super Space Goat Thief Standoff!! by Jezzamon 2012-12-19T01:24:00
Very simple, but very promising. I can see the rebound mechanic being further developed to create some type of meta trick shot game.

The best thing about this game is the sheer amount of variety. It was short, but I enjoyed every second of it. It's unfortunate that you couldn't any audio in there, however.
After reading off the first victim's information, I was just stunned. As simple as this "game" might be, it's one hell of an experience.
The premise takes a bit to get used to, but once you get get the hang of things the game can be quite enjoyable.
The game is simple, but it must be noted that your comedic timing is fantastic.
Very quick to beat. Music sound alright but its way to soft in relation to the sound effects.
The art that is there looks pretty good. The problem is that everything is so tiny that you have to squint to make out certain objects.
Congratulations! This game is hilarious. The gradual shift in good to evil really makes the player attached. The humor is sublime. Best game in the jam I've played thus far!
Are these sprites ripped from the games? I don't believe that is allowed.
This is a really solid game, and I love the bile physics you've got going there.
Your game is brutally simple, but I just can't stop playing. For so little game, crushing goats gives me so much joy.
The game can be fun for awhile, but it is ridiculously easy to cheat the AI into just standing there while you wail on them. The directions are a bit misleading as you can change weapons with more than just the 1-4 keys. The upper two unlockable powers are also a bit bugged in they don't highlight and the final bullet type doesn't seem to work.
I think what makes this game are the facial expressions you give Slenderman. A simple game, but quite humorous.
Fun little game. Love the art style. Also, those puns!
A very interesting mechanic of forcing the player to balance out destruction with renewal. I can see this concept being taken much farther.
There's a lot of assets here to make a fun little game, but it's sort of weird that the only creatures that seem to fight back are bunnies.
That music... It's really mellow and relaxing. I love it.
It's unfortunately over far too quickly.
Yeah, I really wish I had the time to incorporate more building types and ratchet up the pace a bit.
@csanyk That's odd as I used to Chrome primarily to test it. Have you tried zooming out a bit in your browser?
@Jezzamon Basically, the heroes are trying to tear them down and they can get a hit in before they lose a hit of life, as the towers are very dangerous.
The game is pretty fun, but I couldn't seem to get the magic to work. One of your animations appears to be a bit bugged. I can't help but feel this would be better if the player had direct control (WASD - Arrows). Other than that, I can see the effort that went into this and I must say, good job!
Pinion, feel free to update your entry page; you are allowed to do that. The graphical style is simple, but engaging in a way. This pretty much plays out like a game of chance, but the humor used throughout provides for a fun little experience. I like it.
This game is incredibly solid. I have yet to beat the dang thing, but I can get pretty close, that dog ruins everything...
Pretty neat to play a spherical domination game like this, but I quite like the concept. The one the game could use would be more challenge and a bit more obvious as to what effect you are having on the world. Other than that, good job!
This game is fun. While conceptually very simple, you want to continue playing just to see what crazy setting the next HQ involves. Hilarious concept all around.
This was pretty fun/funny. Very clever in it's simplicity.
A really interesting entry that would be perfect with some sound. A bunch of beeps and boops would really complete the arcade atmosphere. Either way, good hectic fun.
This is beautiful. In 48 hours you managed to put together a gripping narrative with interesting back and forth interactions. I can't say more for the expansion of this game, but I'd love to see more games in this style.
This is great. Was this all really done by one person? If so, Wow! If not, wow!
This game can be best described as addictive. Wow, where do I begin? The rotation of constantly trying to outdo yourself so that you can do better in the next minigame is simple, but incredibly well done here. Good job!
I can never break past the top 100 in anything, but theme. Hey, I'll take what I can get. The concept of this game seems perfect for a mobile title.
A great fun little romp with some fantastic music. I really like the slick art style as well. The controls are a bit floaty, but in a way that hampers the experience all that much.
Thanks for the fun little game!
These beautiful adventure-esque games are always my favorite when it comes to Ludum Dares, but then again I'm a sucker for interesting narrative.
I really liked the art on those ships. Very clean and professional. I was able hover out of range of the pirates and take pot shots out of them which is a little exploitable.
This is a game that really could have used some audio to go with it. Coming from a guy who isn't much of an audio guy myself, I'd recommend using WolframTones and SFXR to generate some random beeps and boops for your next project.
That music with the imagery of a parent robot guiding his little one through a barren landscape is beauty at its finest. I'd love some more of this kind of content.
Who knew that virtual speed dating could be so fun? The premise is wacky and gets more insane as you go further in. My only gripe would be that it can get a bit tedious to start up again, but it does allow for a second glance at that crazy dialogue.
I really love that art style. I would really love to see this expanded with more levels.
My only problem with the game was a bug with the physics on the second level (bomb kept floating left instead of falling down, but was resolved when the level restarted). Also I feel like the wall jumping could use a speed boost.
Amazing! Having to coordinate your bird while also making sure your egg lands at just the right spot leads to engaging, if a bit frustrating, game play. The trippy artwork is also gorgeous.
I love the dynamic weapon randomization, although sometime it can get extremely unbalanced in some skews. My first play through gave me a grenade launcher with hardly any range or damage, but my second gave me a gun that killed everything instantly with a fireworks explosion.
This game reminds me very much of the endless mode in Balloon Fight. With a bit more variety and pizzazz I can see this being something special on the app store. Could also be a pretty fun endless mode type game.
This game makes me want to smash my mouse through my monitor. It's incredibly wince inducingly difficult. But you know what? I like it.
Incredibly simple concept, but pretty addicting gameplay. Do you hide in cover letting your seconds burn away? Or do you rush out of cover to add even more seconds to the counter?
Pretty interesting concept with beautiful art. It would fit right at home on a mobile device.
If expanded, the game could definitely use a bit more difficulty as it's too easy to just stay at the top and dodge the occasional twig.
Overall great! Especially for your first LD and HTML5 game.
This is a fun/relaxing little game. I could definitely see it expanded or even compiled in something similar Electroplankton.
I feel kinda bad, but I totally cheated.
At first I was like, "What does this have to do with the theme?" Then I glanced back at the title and it all made sense. Aren't you the clever one? :P
Pretty interesting concept for catching the little animals. It's a super relaxing game to play.
That music also reminds me of the old Spyro the Dragon games. In fact several aspects of this game remind me of that (spaceships and little animals).
It's like a fun little Minesweeper in a way. It's a little bare, but I think you can really do something with this.
This looks super interesting, but I can't seem to get it to run through chrome. Think you could put it up on a site like Newgrounds or Kongregate?
Everything about this game is amazing. The writing for the various buttons alone makes me want to play more. "Let me save them!" The randomly generated kitty names are also great.
My only criticism is that I do feel that it's a little too easy to hit those mines.
It took me a second to get the concept of what's going on, but once I did the game to be pretty fun. Also, nice beat-boxing! :)
Those darn slushees get me every time! I think it would be really cool to see other non-uniform ship designs.
A fun little title. I can imagine this being rather hectic on a touch device.
This game gives off a certain Frog Fractions vibe and I love it. The atmosphere conveyed through the dialogue and descriptions is subtle and hilarious.
After the Jellyfish let me through I think I got locked out of progression. I got the Love key, but I think I may have missed an item in the other building that I never entered.
I love how that in your games even winning can sometimes be a bit disheartening. Super fun and challenging with enough content here to play for hours if you wanted to. I'd love to see a more expanded game like this over larger bodies of water/land.
What an incredibly charming game. The slightly off sense of humor with the invisible glass and small soft human is great.
One thing I would try to avoid in the future is using dialog boxes to give information. I'd try to do it all in game in the future if only because your game looks beautiful and not being able to play it fulls screen all the way through (alt-enter) makes me sad.
I loved this entry though. Didn't have much to do with the theme however.
Pretty fun little submarine game. I beat it pretty easily without using those items(powerups?).
At the end the pop up that asks you to go back to the menu cannot be clicked as the mouse is no longer visible.
The multiplayer integration is both impressive and interesting.
Trying to get to the goal while screwing over the opposition is pretty satisfying. Good job.
A pretty fun game. Wasn't quite sure my first play through what to do as the game starts fairly fast paced. Once I got down what I should be doing, I definitely enjoyed it.
First of all, the art was fantastic.
Use of sticky notes for items is nice, although leads to more trial and error due to the fact that they are blank before you grabbed them.
Nice little game!
I wasn't quite sure what to do, but the atmosphere created was pretty nice.
This game is great fun. I've actually bookmarked it to play a bit more later. Trying to frantically keep up with the luggage whilst preventing anger or a catastrophe (which is hilarious btw) is highly engaging.
Your game is hilarious fun. The premise is simple, but engaging. It's fun scowering the beach looking for cash.
The sound effects are hilarious. CASH CASH MONAY
