I'm working on a post-compo version of this game that will address a lot of the issues people have been having. I had originally planned on a HUD that would help you keep track of the colors, as well as a level select and restart system, but I didn't have time to implement it in time for the competition. :/
Thank you so much to everyone that has left feedback and rated my game. You have all made my first Ludum Dare an incredible experience. The last week in particular has been very busy, and I apologize if I run out of time and cannot get to rating everyone's game in return, but I will definitely try. :D
I like the death sound effect, but the rest are far too loud and shrill to be enjoyable. The graphics are weird, but enjoyable; the animating squares in the background and the trail effect behind the player are well done and add a lot of visual appeal, even if it is a bit busy. The gameplay is basic, but solid. However, the level design relies a bit too much on trial-and-error and "leaps of faith" in my opinion. Overall, it's okay, but definitely nice for a first entry.
I didn't find the controls to be all that bad once I got the hang of it. I've played games with similar controls on a ship (Ship Chip Lander from Cosmic Osmo, for instance) that were a LOT harder to handle. I loved the idea of purchasing a Mass Storage Container to steal the core and fly away!
The jumping controls seem unfairly specific for such an already difficult game. I would look into allowing a person to jump onto an adjacent ledge from a standstill. As it is currently, you have to build momentum first, which can be very difficult on narrow ledges. Otherwise, a decent, albeit brutally difficult, game.
Very solid, well-rounded game. The graphics and sound serve the concept very well, and the atmosphere is superb. Plus, I love any game where deduction is involved. It might be considered a tenuous connection to the theme, but I'm still giving Theme four (4) stars for being a unique and justified interpretation on the concept of a "tiny world."
I really enjoyed the way generated tiles would shove out existing tiles at the edges. It added a layer of puzzle-solving to the game. :)
Very enjoyable entry. I love the style and the cute little white blood cell chasing down the germ. :)
The music is great and the Earth is adorable. The bullet patterns and the fact that each Planet has its own distinct style helped make each level fun to play through.
Getting a free kill on someone locked into a fight with someone else is very satisfying. Being locked into a fight with someone can take awhile though and is a little tedious. Overall, though, I like it!
Cool concept. Does a very good job of establishing mood from something very simple. Felt like "Where's Waldo?" at times, but in a good way.
The Game Boy graphical style is very nice. Some death animations to the enemies would have really added to the polish, but otherwise a nice game!
The mood is fantastic. I like the soothing sound of the rain, as well.
A way to visually tell once a monster has become weak enough to capture would help. Overall, a very nice game with a good amount of depth.
I would love to see more levels of this. Fun mechanic!
The voice-over was adorable and entertaining. I gave you 4 stars on Audio only because the jump sound became rather annoying fairly quickly. Other than that, an excellent game all around!
This is an amazing concept for a game. I love that you can build your own levels, complete with your own rules. A basic concept like "search and replace" has been expanded into a fun and unique game. 5 stars overall!
Very cool puzzle mechanic. I'd say this is definitely work expanding upon. Well done!
*worth* expanding upon, rather. lol
This game is amazingly well-polished and fun to play! 5 Stars!
The music and the atmosphere are incredible. Sending probes out only to have them come back empty when you're running out of resources captures a really great feeling of hopelessness.
Despite the lack of an interface to explain everything, I found it was still relatively straight-forward figuring everything out the hard way. I was only a couple levels in when I made the connection between the wind and the fruit. The graphical style is very cool and the gameplay is smooth and straightforward.
I love the visual style, and the puzzle mechanic is simple, but very fun. Great entry all around!
The music and style were both top-notch, and the game, though simple, was a blast to play! Very nice job!
Very clean and simple idea. Well executed. The ambiance during play was nice.
Very creative and well-executed. Painful on the eyes, but at least the game is short and sweet.
I love the plunger gun! Reminds me of Quackshot! for the Sega Genesis.
I'm very impressed that you were able to code something like this entirely on a tablet for the competition. I'd say that's a pretty nice "meta" way of reinforcing the theme. :D
I enjoyed the visuals and flying around dodging the wasps. As others have already said, more levels and a legitimate level select and ending would have been nice.
The graphics, sound, and music are all top-notch for a 48-hour entry. The control is well-executed and the game is fun. I love coming back to my webbing to find new insects caught there. Gameplay is a tad bit on the shallow side (not much to do once you've built your nest except rack up a high score), but overall, I think this is an amazing entry.
Not sure if you were aware of this already, but I got a 404 on the Source link.
The music and sound effects were decent, but the death scream was too loud.
I'm glad you all liked the game! I apologize for the difficulty curve of the game. I'm working on a post-compo version that I will submit as soon as I can finish it that will hopefully flatten the difficulty to a "challenging, but fair" level. One feature I'm going to implement will be some sort of limiter so that bunnies spawn slower the more of them there are.
Unfortunately, the Flex SDK won't let me save in a version any lower than 11.1.0. What OS are you using? Perhaps it's possible I can find a workaround for you.
Bonus tip for everyone that plays. I found a power-up, Wings, at Location (2, 4). It's a big help for moving around. If I find any more, I'll be sure to share.
DarLOSE! That cracked me up, actually. Good execution. Music was nice, but the game seemed pretty difficult.
Agreed with earlier comments, the evolution mechanic needs to be more noticeable or have some kind of a description between rounds of what changed. Also, agreed that the shield felt overpowered. An energy bar for the shield or something to that effect would fix it, I think. Otherwise, very nice game and fun to play.
Ironically, I did better with the Creationist team. Silliness abounds, making for an enjoyable and humorous experience.
I can't get any of the versions to work, sadly. The web version gets stuck on the second level (I'm running Chrome on Win7). I even tried downloading the .exe, but it wouldn't load at all. Too bad, I was looking forward to trying it out.
Graphics and sound are both excellent. The biting hit detection feels a little off to me.
Seemed very hard at first, and then trivially easy after I got a certain setup. Nice music, and interesting take on the genre.
So, does the game show when other people are online, then? Maybe we should organize a group playtest? I'll try being online at 2:00 p.m. CST (roughly two hours from now), to see if anyone else wants to give it a go. If no one shows up the first time, I'll check back at 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., as well.
I tried a few times, but was never able to completely finish a game due to it crashing about halfway through. Seems like a neat concept, and I started to get the hang of the rules a bit after awhile.
I got a ClassNotFoundException, sadly.
"Devolve Mode" was a very neat idea, but I couldn't handle the really loud and jarring sound effect that came with it. I got stuck at the red square part. Very cool idea, however. I think it has definite potential.
Not the killer seaweed! I'm having TMNT flashbacks! Difficult game, but very fun to play.
Very clever action puzzle game. I like that you choose your descendant after each generation.
Loved the transition in terms of mood. The music was very nice, as well.
The grenade seemed disappointingly useless. I kept thinking, "I wish I had a shovel like my soldiers." :) Nice graphics, and going through the different eras was pretty neat.
The note-taking mechanic didn't seem to add anything to the game. Given that there were no enemies or obstacles to challenge you, it felt more like a waste of your time as you simply hold down the key and wait. The theme, mood, graphics, and sound are all decent, however.
Very nice game. The constant smiling on the character manages somehow to not be creepy, but rather infectiously silly. Great look, and fun to play!
Quite possibly the most entrancing and soothing entry. I'm absolutely going to make a desktop background out of this.
Loved the classic videogame references. The tiny graphical style was great!
Ecco the Dolphin is the second, I'm pretty sure. I'm guessing big-time on this one, but is the one before Sonic perhaps Chip or Dale from the Rescue Rangers?
This is a perfectly cromulent game. :P I made The Toxic Avenger on my first run though, it seems, at vat "SeS" of all places.
As pythong already mentioned, if the game board is full, and the computer has no legal moves, the game freezes. I feel like either the game should end, as pythong suggested, as either a draw or a win for whichever player had the most evolution points, or the player with no legal moves should be forced to skip that turn.
Overall, good game, and I really liked the implementation of a unique board game!
Everything about this game is very well put together. The challenges quickly become very difficult, indeed. It seems it is absolutely essential that you maintain at least some diversity in your tribe, since some traits are impossible to breed without it. A list of suggestions that would make the game more accessible, however, would be: Show a small version of the mixture chart, in the background maybe, or have a way to bring it up. Maybe consider showing a preview of what the next challenge will entail, so you can prepare better (since right now it's too easy to get a dead-end through no fault of your own), and maybe differentiate the legs and arms a bit more (The different stages of teeth and fur are very easy to identify, but for arms and legs, it's a lot harder).
Despite those minor issues, this is one of the best games I've played, and it is spot on with the theme. :)
I know it doesn't need repeating, but the graphical style and music are incredible. It's too bad there wasn't more to the game in terms of gameplay.
Fun to play and very challenging. Good job.
The creationist skeptic was great, asking for yet another link each time. Also, the fact that your character's sprite is just a wide-brimmed hat made me laugh. Decent job on the humor aspect.
I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but I couldn't get the app to run. The screenshots look really cool. I hope I can get it working before the voting ends.
Waiting for the trees to propagate toward the end was a little tedious, but overall, a good execution of the theme, and nice music.
I think I understand the rules, and I'm pretty sure on more than one occasion, I've ended the first arena with much more than half the field controlled. Yet, it still tells me I have 49 or 47%. Good sound effects, and an interesting concept.
As the difficulty ramps up, the game gets a lot more interesting to play. Nice work.
Apparently you can safely walk through the spikes, provided you don't fall on them from above (Not sure if this is intentional or a bug). This definitely makes some of the seemingly impossible areas much easier to navigate. The music was very catchy, and the camera zooming in and out as you moved added to the visuals nicely.
This is still my favorite compo entry of all, even after playing over 75 entries! Great job. Very addictive!
Seems like learning how to shoot is a much better way to leave the pit than learning how to jump and fly. I liked the concept of evolving over generations to escape a pit, though, and wouldn't mind seeing this idea fleshed out more.
Nice to see someone else who participated in NaGaDeMo! I remember playing your game Illume, and apart from the problems that GameSalad caused, it seemed pretty cool. Good luck, and I hope you can overcome GameSalad's problems in the future!
A lot of fun to play, and the theme was well-implemented. Good job!
The mood and the sound were both great, good job! The gameplay felt a bit random and unfocused, however. The difficulty curve shifts dramatically upon hitting the last stage. Prior to that point, I wasn't even sure if you COULD die. Starting over from the very beginning after death was rather annoying, but the death animation was very cool to watch.
The game feels far too short, but the graphical style is excellent (side note: your Minecraft texture pack is my favorite) and the sound is nice. The thing about the first key was a little confusing at first, but I eventually got it.
Fun game. Good execution of the theme. The level design was such that replaying after each upgrade wasn't too much of a drag.
I thought I had the neuron placement figured out at first, but eventually I really did get it. Nice game. Fun to play.
The music getting more complex as you level up was a very nice touch. It's too bad you couldn't get more of the gameplay finished; it looks like your game had lots of potential.
Trying to isolate the right cats for future generations seems a bit tricky, but the use of the theme is superb and the game is interesting to play.
The "musical intro bit as comedic punchline to your failures" was hilarious. Great music and sense of humor. All around, a very enjoyable experience.
A lot of fun to play, even if the evolution aspect isn't very noticeable. The fire and ice weapons worked as expected, and it was very pleasing to see that even the platforms would "heat up" and change color if you applied some fire to them.
I think this a really good "Chu-Chu Rocket"-style game. Good work. Sadly, as mentioned above, it doesn't seem to have anything to do with the theme.
The speed of the game could definitely be improved dramatically. The concept and gameplay are decent, though. Good job.
Pretty soothing music for a game called Robot Panic. :P
Great sound and graphics. I don't quite have the grasp on the evolving behavior for the minions, but, otherwise, good entry.
Only a few days left. I hope you guys get it uploaded in time.
I would like to see a finished version of this game, because it feels like it has real potential.
Great entry! All around one of the best I've played.
Feels a bit like a game of golf, particularly with the jump counter in the corner. Really nice concept and well-executed!
I'm pretty sure 3D Unity games used to play better on my machine, but for some reason, this Ludum Dare, I've been having no luck. I wish I could have played this game, because it looks and sounds great from what I can tell, but on my machine, the framerate is unplayably bad for some reason.
The way the graphics and audio are put together is very effective in building a haunting mood. While I can understand capping the monster's speed to keep the shambling effect of the monster going, it would have been nice if the villagers began moving toward you at a faster and faster rate as the game progressed to produce a gently-increasing difficulty curve.
The music was awesome, with a very nice use of transition. Fun and challenging game.
The controls felt really stiff and the dialog, while interesting to read, was difficult at times to wait for. I enjoy the idea of him gaining powers from reading comics a lot, and I think the mood is pretty good on this one.
Petting the cat while laughing evilly was a nice touch. Great mood and use of the theme!
I got a broken link as well.
I can't seem to select either of the two villains on the menu.
Loved the crazy storyline. The little mini-games lasted just long enough to not get too boring. Overall, very entertaining!
A lot of fun, and the intro was enjoyable. Excellent job all around.
The ending cracked me up. I liked the particle effects, but I wish I could aim straight up sometimes. The idea of corrupting everything is neat, and I think it has potential to work alongside other game mechanics if fleshed out some more.
Would have really liked to see this finished, it sounds like a fun concept. The music was very nice, too.
This is the best take on the "play a well-known game from the bad guy's point of view" theme that I've seen. Figuring out ways to force the cursors into guessing was a lot of fun. I'm sure there's a trivial solution, but I haven't found it yet, and the whole game was very well-executed.
Winning seemed fairly straightforward, but overall I like the concept and the basic gameplay. The activism meter for me never seemed to come into play, and the improved oil rig never seemed worth it to buy. That said, I'd love to see this idea expanded and refined further.
The music was great, perfect blend of haunting and circus mood. Based on the music and graphics alone, I feel like there's potential for a very creepy, dream-like experience if a lot more were added to it.
Breaking out of jail seemed a painfully long process without decisions to make along the way, but overall I really liked this game. If you have a post-compo version, I will definitely play it!
The cannons rock. Love the beatboxing and the humor in this game.
The music was very nice, and while the voice-over initially sounded good, too, the nature of the game makes it sound very repetitive after awhile. To me, the "Prepare For Jump" challenge was too susceptible to spacebar spamming and therefore felt just like the "Unjam Weapons" challenge. That said, I enjoyed the concept of having to overcome glitchy AI with microgames.
I see a brief flicker on the screen, but then nothing. Not sure if there's a problem on the site or if it's on my end. I'll try to play it again in a day or so. I'm intrigued by the title alone.
The particle effects were nice. It's interesting to see another game centered around plagues.
The music fit the concept really well and the gameplay was a lot of fun. Great entry, and I hope more people find this game and rate it. I think if you took some time to rate some more entries from other people to increase your visibility, you might have a really decent shot at making a Top 25 in one of the Jam categories with this one.
Cool action-puzzle game with some very nice graphics. The controls felt a bit rough around the edges at times, but overall, it's pretty fun to play. Great job!
70 days! Went from werewolves straight to dragons. Nice music, and enjoyable to play.
A simple concept that turns out to be fairly fun. Nice job.
Very nicely done. The graphics, though simple, are extremely clean and serve the mood well. The music was great, as well. Winning the game seems relatively easy and straightforward, but apart from that, really nice job!
I'm with krutech.
You have a knack for very elegant puzzle design. Your games are always a treat to play. Loved this entry.
A very soothing game about sacrificing virgins and eating the hearts of brave warriors. A simple idea that is very well executed.
Lol, loved the twist ending! The rolling mechanic was a lot of fun.
The graphics are put to really good use here, and the use of audio and text sets the mood, well. The message is pretty clear, and it utilizes the theme exceptionally well.
I love Mastermind, although the presentation of it here is rather hard to understand at first. I had to read the instructions thoroughly before I grasped it. Cool graphics, too. Well done.
Reminds me a little bit of the board game "Don't Wake the Dragon" from the dragon's point of view. The fireball made it a bit too easy, but roasting the peasants was fun!
I can't believe this hasn't gotten more plays. I really loved the music, and the dialogue was engaging (at times, also quite humorous). Great entry overall!
This was a lot of fun to play. The slight delay between when the guards got stabbed and when they fell over dead was perfect. The AI, though dumb as you mentioned, played perfectly off of your ability to draw them into the shadows. A very simple idea that is pulled off extremely well.
One of the best Jam entries I've played. Once I figured out I could combine items it got a lot more fun. The audio and the use of the theme are great, as well!
Throwing the hammer at the sleigh was an awesome touch; it feels so wrong to do that. I love the LCD look.
Leaving the sound of you catching your breath during the singing was pretty funny. The whole thing progresses nicely and is fun to play.
Finding the right balance for conversion and learning how to isolate the villagers made for a very fun game.
Lots of fun to play, and the music and graphics are all great. Well done!
I wish my machine was able to run these 3D Unity games better. Not sure why it can't, but the game looks really nice, and the ambiance was superb.
Of all the role reversals of classic games I've seen, this one is predicated on the best idea, in my opinion. Too bad you didn't have time to flesh it out, Gyruss is a classic. :)
I'm just not willing to allow permissions for the Java file to run because of the ad pop-up that happens right away. Sorry.
Great concept. Too bad you didn't have time to implement more games.
This is one of the best games I've played so far. Great in so many ways, and a lot of fun to play!
I like the concept a lot. Not very villain-y, but fun to play, all the same.
I find the concept really fascinating. I wish the execution had been better, but overall, I like it. I must admit, without the explanation, I never would have got it.
The music was a bit off-sounding to me, but the rest of the game played really well.
Really neat concept. I would love to see more levels and sound implemented. I particularly enjoyed that the bags of money had to be dragged, as well. It felt more realistic that way, somehow. :)
Sorry to hear this couldn't make it. Not sure if I should leave a rating or what. Doesn't seem right to leave all "1"s, but not sure what else to do.
Love the bright colors and the particle effects on the weapons, as well as when the colors combine to form giant enemy cubes. Really cool game all around. Thanks again for making a post-compo version, I really dig the music.
Work on the post-compo version has been slowed down by life events, however, for those that are interested in following my progress, I think I'll go ahead and post the link to the post-compo version for now, with the understanding that it's still a work in progress. I have a lot of ideas I'd like to implement for this game before I call it done, so I'll probably be working on it long after the voting period is over.
I like the black and white graphics. Reminds me of the games I used to play on my old black-and-white Macintosh as a kid.
Amazing game all around. The challenge is really good, and the interaction with the characters is excellent. This is definitely one of my favorites.
The sounds you picked were really effective at building suspense. Once the patterns starting layering, the game got very interesting. Nice entry!
The graphics are very well-drawn, but with the lighting combined with the transparency, it's a bit confusing at first.
The text was a big help, and added to the mood of the game. I did have some issues selecting smaller blocks that were in front of larger blocks.
I happened to find the kitten on my first try, so I had to play again to realize there was more content than that. The sound effects were nice additions to the descriptions.
The dialogue really made it great.
I think if the collision with objects were tightened up some more, the turning mechanism wouldn't be so annoying, but as it stands, it was very difficult keeping him from going off into areas I'm sure he wasn't supposed to be able to get to. I really liked the look and the sound, though. When I got all the crystals, at first I didn't know what I was supposed to do, but I did eventually find the giant crystal.
Staying in one corner seems to be a pretty good strategy. The transition effect with the walls between rounds was pretty cool to watch.
I thought the black hole mechanic was a really neat way to control a ship, but I couldn't get over the fact that all of the levels seemed designed for a more conventional control method. I think it would have been a lot more fun to have to arc my way through a series of long, circular gaps instead of micro-managing the turning radius on my ship to dodge enemy fire and floating barriers. Overall, I really liked this game, but the mechanic seemed to add more in frustration than it did in fun. I loved the percussive music, as well!
The art that you generate through playing the game is a really cool idea. I wish the machine gun sound effect had a little more variety to it, but other than that, I really liked this entry.
Way too short, but the audio was very soothing.
I would really like to try this game out, but I'm actually getting malicious software warnings from Google Chrome, for some reason.
Great and unique puzzle concept. Just as I was about to complain that it played a little slow, the next level sped up a bit. :)
Dialogue that's actually funny and interesting to read is hard to pull off, and this game does a good job with it. The humor is great, and I like how you keep getting second chances with the test (as opposed to just quitting and restarting), that was a nice touch.
A lot of fun to play through the first several levels, although the trial and error nature of it does get a bit frustrating once the levels become a bit more complex. Good entry!
I like the unique spin on such a well-known game. A lot of fun to play. Great job!
If you can shoot down a certain amount of the initial barrage, then find a safe spot, it gets a lot easier. You only lose when the aliens hit you (not the Earth as I had initially thought), and they run on a loop, so if you miss them the first time, just time your movement and get them on the next pass.
Really fun game. Sliding through the corridors at just the right time was enjoyable.
One of my favorites so far. Everything was great!
The mood was fantastic on this one. It's hard to genuinely creep the player out in any game, but you succeeded on that front, in my opinion.
Score seems buggy at times, but the game was pretty fun to play. I liked how the grid rebuilt itself over time.
As a huge fan of Streets of Rage, I really appreciate this take on it. The punch and kick animations, despite being only a couple of pixels, are effective.
This is a great concept, and it's executed so well. This is one of my favorites.
Reminds me a little bit of how Dark City starts out. I'm with everyone else here, it should be longer.
I didn't want to go through with it at first, but the game made me. I liked how the sound was the first to go.
I love the art style you chose and the core mechanic seems good. I wish the game could have progressed a bit faster, though.
The graphics are very simple, but they animate and move around so beautifully. Well done!
I actually really like this one. At first I had no clue what was going on, but after awhile, I started to understand everything pretty well. Excellent job on the theme. I'd love to see a much longer version of this game.
Fun game. Simple and well-executed. Sound was a bit annoying, though.
Amazing entry all around. I seriously hope you don't lose too many Innovation points due to people being convinced by the description that this game already existed before. Making a brand-new puzzle game that is both clever and fun is far from easy, and what I love more about your game is that it could, in theory, be played in real life with actual scrolls. Awesome job!
If I were to add one piece of constructive criticism, however, I do think the game is way too easy in the later levels. Once you have an intuitive sense for how the scrolls work, it's clear that the later levels give you far more scrolls than you actually need, and solving certain levels is almost trivial. This is a minor complaint, of course, but if you were to decide to expand on this game or get it ready for release somewhere, I would recommend tweaking the challenge of many of the later levels.
Getting the old man with the cane dancing cracks me up. Love the style of this game. Fun and challenging.
I wanted to keep playing, but by the time I was several levels in, my framerate was unplayably low. I really liked the mechanic, the sound, and the colors, though.
I'd love to see this concept fleshed out more. It's a rather unique approach, and fun to explore. The ending felt rushed, but as you mentioned, so were you toward the end of the competition. Good job!
123,255 for me. Great graphics, as usual. Music is nice, and the sound is decent. Great job!
I really liked this entry. Apart from being a one-screen game, it seems to have little to do with the theme, but the graphics are really well done, and overall it's a great entry. I'm surprised more people haven't played it.
Cool graphical style, and, while the objective wasn't always immediately clear, it was decent enough that I was always able to figure out what to do next in a fair amount of time. Good job!
Good use of humor with the dialogue and the artwork. The sound is really nice and the whole game plays pretty well. Excellent job!
I love all the little details you put into this game. From the gameboy tilting with you as you move to the shadows under the LCD graphics. The concept of finding batteries in-game to power the game in real life is cool. My only complaint is how harsh the sound is that plays when you beat a level. Minor complaint, though. Great entry, and lots of fun!
Really cool-sounding music. The lighting is put to really good use here, as well. Good job!
I love the decisions you made with both the sound and the art style. Very cool entry.
The sound was superb and the gameplay was fun and engaging. Excellent job!
Lots of fun to play. I didn't want the game to end. If you decide to make a post-compo version, I'd love to see a level editor added in.
I love just simply labeling everything what it is. That was a nice touch. Good use of the theme. I wish it could have been a little longer, though.
Really great entry! The turn-based style adds a lot and the crashing through walls was pure awesome. The sound was excellent, as well.
I didn't have time to properly allow for all the token machines to work at once, so for anyone that's playing and feels stuck after the second round, at that point you have to move to the other room and use the machine there. I apologize for the terrible interface here. If I make a Post-Compo version, that will definitely get fixed.
Actually, I don't think I used that many. But I was pressed for time and my restart code still had a game-breaking bug in it, so I scrapped wasting time trying to fix it and just put in the refresh screen message as an ugly workaround.
This was a lot of fun to play. The music was awesome, and the pace was frantic. Loved it!
Amazing and solid work all around. The music was incredible.
I finally managed to get through without sacrificing anyone. "They lived happily ever after for 10 seconds." lol
I love fast-paced puzzle games like this. I've seen similar mechanics to this before, but never on such a strict time limit, and that makes a big difference in the fun and challenge of it all. Great game!
I would love to see a Post-Compo version that explored this mechanic in further detail. Even more mini-games centered around precise timing and/or memory would be incredible and make for a really fun game. Awesome job, and a great use of the theme.
Great take on the theme, and nice use of meta. You've captured the stress and silliness of the jam very well, here.
Ending Rank C here. Cool concept, very tense.
Fun game, and I love the old-school 3D textures and geometry. The sound effect of freezing time was haunting and cool.
I hope you haven't given up on game programming altogether. I, for one, would like to see you make something we could all play for next Ludum Dare. Also, love the Sega Rally reference.
For some reason the SWF won't load for me. Just a black screen.
Fun test of your memory. Love the music, too!
The setting is interesting and I like the mood. It makes me wish there were more to it, though.
The gameplay is unique and pretty challenging and fun. Awesome game, I loved it!
This game is fantastic. Lots of fun to play and a great challenge. Took me a few tries to beat it, but I love how most situations have more than one approach that can work, depending on your situation. Excellent job!
While I'm not a fan of using the mouse to click on adjacent squares, I thought the idea was clever, and well executed.
The models look really nice, and the voice-over is pretty cool. The controls felt a little sluggish, though.
I really like the mechanic in this game. I would love to see it explored in further detail.
Excellent implementation of the "count to ten" style. Graphics and sound are very nice. Mood was superb.
Awesome entry all around. Great music, graphics, and a pretty cool idea, as well.
The sound effects and music were my favorite part. The tense atmosphere at night is a nice touch.
The gameplay itself was fairly basic, but good god, the whole time it had me on pins and needles. The sound effects, the dark atmosphere, and the creepy static and sense of dread; this was an intense experience, and I almost didn't want to finish it. Amazing entry.
The animation and graphical style are both awesome. The music is strange, but interesting, and the sound effects are really good.
A lot of fun to play. I love the random effects every 10 seconds. "The carpet is lava" is my favorite!
The visuals and the writing are both pretty good. I like that you let the player pick different choices after dying, that saved me a lot of clicking and helped keep me in the moment of the choice that was made.
Cool graphics and music. I really liked the voices on the vegetables.
Wow, that story took a very dark turn. The visuals are interesting to look at, the narration is really good, and the story is engaging. It's too bad you didn't have enough time to implement any of the mini-games you had planned, but for what it's worth, I thought the mood of this entry was excellent.
Really fun and impressive entry. The multiplayer felt pretty smooth, and the sound and graphics are top-notch. The acrobatic moves were a lot of fun to play around with, along with the changing environment.
I really like the art style on this one. The controls feel a bit clunky, though.
I really liked the concept, but unfortunately, I had to look at the source to find out how to win. I think one thing that would tighten the controls up a lot and give the player more time to explore would be if you could walk away from an object after interacting with it without having to press space.
If anyone is interested in a small hint (I hope nobody minds), you have to start out by interacting with two closely-related objects in a specific order, and it has nothing to do with the lockbox. I hope this helps.
This was a lot of fun to play. The sound effects and music were nice, as well. The controls felt a bit loose to me, but overall, nice entry.
While the gameplay was fairly basic, the mood, humor, and sound were all amazingly well-done. It's hard to make a game that genuinely makes you laugh and smile, but this one had a lot of those moments. Kudos!
I love the Daniel Clowes look of the cutscenes, as well. Extremely well done.
This is the best competition entry I've played so far. You should rate some other people's entries so more people will see your game. Amazingly solid entry all around. The music and sound, the mood, the humor, the use of the theme, everything. Just awesome!
The music and sound are really good here. I like the character design, and for some reason the ghosting effect on the character when she double-jumps is intriguing to me. I really like that touch and if you continue on with this game, I hope that plays a role somehow.
Really innovative take on the theme, and well-executed. Pretty fun for a game all about counting to ten. :)
What hosting service are you using? Have you tried a free one like Dropbox?
Simple, but really fun game. The music is catchy and the gameplay is solid. Good job!
Really cool idea. The layout was simple and easy to understand, and the 10 second timer got more and more hectic as the levels got tougher.
While there's not a lot of things to do in this entry, I enjoyed that you allowed for more than one way out. Ten seconds wouldn't be enough time, but I would have loved to have had a way to save everybody, using different methods for each person. Good job!
Great graphics and humor. I love the panicked look on the guy's face.
I really like the graphical style of this game, and the music is simple but very nice.
I really enjoyed the art style, and the mechanic and levels both went together really well.
I hope you didn't forget that you need to post the link to your game, and not just the screenshot and description.
Excellent mood and graphical style. Controls were a bit strange-feeling at first, but overall a very cool game.
The concept of speed hangman is a cool idea, but I do wish this was more fleshed out and better executed.
Great entry overall! The graphics were nice and the sound effects were excellent. It's a unique take on memory games, and the mood was great. The connection to the theme was a bit loose, but overall I really liked this one.
Even if I do nothing, it seems like the counter resets after 5 seconds every time. I feel like I might understand the concept, but I'm not quite sure.
It seemed like my mana regenerated far too slowly by the end, but I'm not sure if the game itself was slowing down or if I had just exhausted my mana supply somehow. I'm not a fan of the method of moving, but I do like your assortment of spells and that you have one-time use spells that do varying things.
The voice effects and music were nicely done. I like the job you did on the alien face graphic and his voice.
Great title and the sound and music were both well-done. Nicely done.
"Curse my metal body, I wasn't fast enough!" Fun game that makes you feel for those poor kittens. I love that you can just barely save a kitten as it's starting to drown; made me feel like a hero. :)
The pacing of each mode is great. By the time I was at "No Checkpoint Mode" the game was really intense, and every mistake and close call was a treat for my nerves. A lot of frustrating and challenging fun. Loved it!
The graphics are well done, and the on/off mechanic is kinda cool. Having to press the shoot button repeatedly got a little tedious, though. I think a little more variety in weaponry and enemies would go a long way toward making this an awesome game. I'd like to see a Post-Compo version, for sure!
For some reason, the potion didn't work for me when I had it in the third slot, but when I moved it to the middle slot, it worked fine. Great idea, and pretty entertaining and fast-paced. Well done!
Really great game. I wish there were more levels to play, but as is, it's pretty fun. I like how the screen gets darker as you run out of air.
Interesting take on the theme. The audio and graphics are well done and there are some pretty decent jokes, as well. I like it!
Great audio and graphics. The factories seem overpowered, but the concept is solid and it's fun to play. Great job!
Really fun game. The different weapons were great and the constant teleporting kept the game fresh.
I really like the concept behind this game, but it's extremely difficult to figure out. I also like when you encounter characters you've already played and they perform the actions you gave them in front of you, that was a nice touch.
I definitely could have shaved off several minutes that way, but I wanted to avoid the anti-aliasing effect that would come from that and wanted to go for a "pure Atari" look. Then I remembered Flixel/AS3 had a low-quality graphics setting that would take care of it for me. Doh.
The graphics and music were both great. The controls felt very sluggish at times, though.
I really like the black-and-white graphical style and the sound and music. While short, it's a nice entry overall.
I can kinda see where you're going with this, and I would love to see it finished. I think a post-competition version could be a lot of fun to play.
Clever idea, and the charity tie-in and beard collecting were really nice touches. I've seen similar entries to this before, but this one is the best so far.
Awesome take on the theme. Great presentation, as well.
I love this idea, and it makes for some great math puzzles. Please expand on this concept. :)
Brilliantly done. If this game had sound effects or music, it would be even better, but as is, it's hilarious and awesome.
Great interpretation of the theme being applied to an established idea. I can't help but feel the game turns out too easy, and could benefit from a timer or some increasing difficulty ramp of some kind, but overall I think the concept is a solid one. Bravo!
Nice, literal take on the theme.
Took me awhile to beat a level until I realized you could pick them up and throw them. :)
One of my favorite entries so far. Great music and really awesome pixel art. I appreciate that you went with a more difficult game.
I would have loved to see more done with the mechanic. Sorry you didn't have more time to flesh it out.
Nice tile-based graphics. I can't seem to get much further than a few levels in, but it's decently fun to play.
I definitely want to see what you do with the post-compo version of this. I love the concept.
Highest score was 163. Solid implementation, and the twist to fit it into the theme actually makes the strategy to this classic game quite different. I agree with 302_Dave about saving dice, that actually made me laugh. Nice job!
Nice entry, although a bit easy to win. I'd love to see a post-compo version if you decide to add more levels or challenges.
Great entry. I found it fairly difficult even on the easiest setting, but it was still pretty fun to play.
Holy crap, this is such fun to play! I love the music, too!
Just out of curiosity, what is it specifically that you see wrong with it? I'm not seeing anything unusual on my end.
Nice take on a classic game. I'll keep trying back every now and then to see if anyone hops on for the multiplayer.
I really like the music.
Exactly the right amount of difficulty to be a lot of fun and just below frustrating! Loved this entry!
I'm not sure if I found a bug or an exploit or not, but it seems like just holding down one of the buttons after awhile keeps you protected indefinitely. The visuals and the concept are neat, but I do wish it were more of a challenge.
The last puzzle had me stumped, but the whole thing was a lot of fun to play.
A very hard but ultimately enjoyable game. Waiting 5 seconds after every death got to be a little tedious, though. Watching a 5-second replay of what I was doing before getting back in would help a lot more than seeing a static image, as it would give me a better feel for my jumps. Also, the rewind bar could stand to give me a little more fine-tuned control at parts. Overall, I think there's a lot of potential in this idea, and I'd love to see you do more with it. One last thing, I would have loved to be able to watch a real-time replay of the last level after I beat it. Some of those jumps would have been really neat to see "live."
I can't seem to jump over the first pipe and I've tried everything. I'm not sure if this behavior is intentional or not, but I can't seem to progress.
Although a bit short, that was a lot of fun to play. Loved the sound and the look of it, as well.
Overall I rather enjoyed this entry. The music was very nice, and although the game was short, the exploration was fun. Nice job!
The volley of arrows is my favorite thing about this game. The graphics are really nice, but the controls feel very sticky and sluggish at times.
Great implementation of a 2D-styled Thief mechanic. A lot of fun to play through.
I absolutely love that you allow user-submitted levels. Here's my attempt at one:

Also, here's a simple little spreadsheet I made to make it slightly easier to edit a level: https://db.tt/UV5Ar10J
Whew. Some of those jumps were kinda tricky at first. Got it, eventually. I like the look of this.
Simple and fun to play. Once you get the hang of the dives, it's really cool!
Racking up combos and points is pretty fun. I wish the rage meter was a little bit more of a room-clearer, just for effect, but oh well! :)
Really fun and well-executed mechanic. I occasionally experience some collision issues, it seems, but not enough to bother me too much. Great job!
This was a pretty fun game. The presentation and the flow between stages was very nice.
Made it to wave 62. Pretty fun at first, although the gameplay did get a bit tedious by the end. Cool entry!
I want very much to try this out, but I can't seem to extract the Windows download successfully. I've tried both 7-Zip and WinZip.
I was finally able to play it. Great job on the mood, it was pretty tense.
Really amazing sound and the style is awesome. I managed to make it to level 2 but gave up after I realized your health didn't refill and you started over at level 1 after dying. Still, this was a lot of fun to play and I would love to see a post-competition version of this.
Making anything in such a short time frame, particularly with a brand new framework is impressive in its own right. It looks like you missed LD23 through LD28, but I hope we see you again for LD30!
I really liked this entry. The audio helped a lot both in terms of atmosphere and as a gameplay aid. That last minute on the last leg of the journey, I had just enough time to make it back to my room after doing one last sweep through and stare at the photo of my son for a few seconds hoping none of the other passengers opened a window or threw trash on the ground (I had 7 infractions going into the last leg, so I knew I had a pretty thin margin of error left). I got +2 infractions, and just barely managed to make it. Pretty intense!
189! This game was a lot of fun to play. Great job!
The thing that made me laugh the most was how many digits there are for the score when each planet is worth only 1. Great music, sounds, and graphics, although the controls do feel a bit loose.
Amazing sound and graphics, just a treat to look at and listen to. The gameplay was a little basic, and dying as the human was too easy and too punishing, though.
Really neat take on the theme, and a unique puzzle idea. Also, I loved the dialog. Had me laughing out loud several times. "No more of that, ok?"
I missed it at first, but after playing this game again, I now realize that you took on the Theme from more than one angle. Previously, I gave you a 4 on Theme, but I'm now amending that to a 5. I love this entry!
Overall a really great entry! I felt so bad whenever I killed the aliens.
Reminds me of Ship Chip Lander from Cosmic Osmo and the Worlds Beyond the Mackerel. Nice game!
Really fun entry. The variety of weapons was excellent, and the music was awesome.
It was only noticeable when one character was dead but the other was still alive, but I thought it was a nice touch that each world contributed its own part to the music.
I'm getting a 404 on the link.
I feel like there should be a penalty for letting a match disappear from the screen without selecting it. Overall, I thought this was decent, and it got surprisingly difficult after awhile.
I love games like this. It's taking me awhile to understand it, but each time I play it, I get it more and more. Really great entry, I can tell this is the kind of game I'll be coming back to time and again throughout the rating, much like when I got hooked on Super Strict Farmer.
I rather enjoyed the unusual music. While the game wasn't challenging in its current state, I see a lot of potential with the central mechanic if it were harnessed further.
Pretty cool entry. For a literal interpretation of the theme, this was really well done. I would have liked to see some kind of obstacle course for the space stages, since spinning the planets to move around felt very satisfying.
With less than a day to go, I don't feel comfortable rating this without a Source link, since this is a Compo entry. That said, the music was pretty cool.
Respawning seems bugged. About half the time I die, one of the player sprites tries to spawn in the ground and ends up dying in an endless loop. Seems like a neat game, though.
Very slick. I wish this had more levels that got even crazier, but great entry overall!
The music was great, and the mechanics were cool, although I feel the responsiveness of the controls could have been tightened up quite a bit.
I wish there were more stages to play through, but nice job!
This was a really fun entry. The level design was excellent, offered an excellent but not too-frustrating challenge, and some of those jumps were just fun to pull off.
That game was quite glitchy, but once you figure out what you're supposed to do and get the feel for it, it's a neat idea and kind of fun. Good job.
The sound effects and voices really made this for me. Thank you.
Very challenging, but a lot of fun to play, particularly once you start to get a feel for how the octopus moves. The graphics are awesome, as well. Great entry!
I wish the game had a lot more to it, but I see a lot of potential with this idea.
The music was awesome, and the graphics were cute and fun. Great entry!
Awesome game! Once I realized burning the ghosts was not the same as burning the bodies, the game became a lot of fun.
I like the idea behind it, but it seems like there are still quite a few bugs to squish before it becomes playable. If you're considering it, I'd love to check out a post-compo version sometime.
Really cool game. Nice music and the interface was pretty easy to get into.
Wave 11 is where it started to feel genuinely fun for me where you could set up chains of kills. The animation is adorable and the sound is really nice.
Best of luck to you. You should make a post on the website when you get it done, even if it won't be part of the competition, I'd still be curious to give it a try.
Fun game and the art style was done well and very cute.
This is a beautiful and brilliant game. It's too bad you can't fold 3 or 4 corners at the same time, but this was an absolute treat to play, nonetheless.
I just now realized a few post-competition tweaks I was experimenting with accidentally got published to my compo version because I forgot to change a folder name. The changes were extremely minor, and to the best of my knowledge, only 3 or 4 people played on this version, but in the interest of fairness, I feel I need to admit that this happened. The original compo version is back, now, but I apologize profusely for any confusion in the meantime.
Nothing on the page but text.
Nice Gyruss-style game. Some of the sound effects are a tad harsh, but shooting the bugs is satisfying and the power-ups are nice.
A bit on the buggy side, but the upgraded weaponry is fun.
I really like this take on the theme. Once you figure out the idea with updating, it's pretty easy and straightforward, though.
Pretty fun and simple, but attacking seems counterproductive. Since the enemies respawn immediately after dying and enemies increase over time, it seems focusing on just running works better.
The sprites are nice, and the music, though simple, is pleasant. I do wish there was a way to speed the progress of the game up a bit, though.
Once I got the feel for how to deflect rockets back at the enemy ships, it became really fun!
This is my favorite take on the theme thus far. The timeout-related deaths confused me at first, but everything else was easy enough to understand. Pretty difficult, but very fun.
The controls are rather frustrating and, at times, buggy, but the graphics are beautiful and I like the concept.
I really like the look of the tiles, and the puzzle mechanic is a solid one. The music is lovely to listen to, as well.
Really cool game! I see a lot of potential with this idea. Please make a fully-polished post-compo version, if you can!
With some sound effects, this would have been amazing. As it stands, it's still pretty fun and fairly tense.
Amazing graphics and music. I do hope you explore this idea's full potential and turn it into a full-fledged game. I would love to play it.
The animation on the ledges opening and closes is very nice, and the sound and mood are both excellent.
I love this entry! That snowman is adorable, and the juggling controls, though difficult-sounding at first, work surprisingly well in practice. This game put a huge smile on my face!
I really like this! Great and clever use of the theme!
Brilliant concept. The collision was occasionally a little buggy, but not so much as to detract from the overall idea. Very nice puzzle game.
This game was a lot of fun! I loved everything about it!
I couldn't figure out how to get the bombs to work. I tried everything I could think of, but I could only ever get houses to spawn.
This was pretty fun. The enemy's spawning algorithm seemed a tad annoying, as it frequently happened that they would spawn right next to you with no warning. Overall, really good entry!
Really fun and cute!
That was a lot of fun! I really liked this.
Love the wink at the end and the sound and music. Very cute!
It took playing it a second time before I started to understand what I was doing. Very little is apparent the first time you play, and I still don't fully get the Attack versus Defense strategy, although I did eventually figure out how to make successful attacks most of the time and how to keep my units up.
I like the approach. Using the light cast by the TV screen and the sound to find the right screen added to the atmosphere. The controls inside the 2D game were way too sluggish and unresponsive, in my opinion, though.
Nice music, and the gameplay was straightforward and fun.
Cute game. I kinda wanted the squares to keep getting smaller and smaller until they were 1px by 1px or something and the game became impossible. :)
It took a bit to get started, but once it did and there was antimatter flying everywhere, it was pretty fun. I wouldn't mind being able to tear down my shield without having to be on the same spot as it, though.
Very impressive and fun entry. Also really difficult, but in an enjoyable way.
Really cool entry. Took a few tries to finally get the reaper down.
The walkthrough really helped when I got stuck a few times. I really like the approach you took with this one. The sound effects are nice, and the interface is very unique and interesting.
Great concept and the multitasking element was fun.
Surprisingly fun once you get into it. I'm kind of hooked on trying to solve these, although I seem to have stopped accumulating new letters once hitting 18.
Pretty neat take on the theme. I see a lot of potential with this, depending on where you take it.
That song fits really well and is very funny. Learning the gameplay went through several very fun stages, and I really enjoyed this entry. My eventual record was 4 minutes and 7 seconds!
Really enjoyed the song. Thank you for pointing out that restarting might fix the desync issue, it really helped me enjoy the feel a lot more on the second playthrough.
I really like the concept of this game. With a little UI improvements and some more variety and balancing in the options given, this game has tremendous potential.
This was very fun and challenging to play. Getting in tune with the weight of your attack felt really satisfying once you could start doing wider swings with it.
The warp effect is really nice to look at and the different layered star fields add nice depth. It's hard to tell if I beat the game, but since I can't warp anywhere else once dropping off the fuel, I assume I did. Thank you for making this, I really enjoyed it.
This is a fantastic entry. The graphics are well done, the gameplay is fun, and I enjoyed having to swap back and forth between mining and defense.
EqualEnergy and I are very grateful to all of you that have played the game and for all of your wonderful comments.
Spoiler alert: As a few have already noted, it can be very easy to stumble onto the ending very quickly in this game. That is partly by design, as there's nothing preventing it from happening, although the intended route was to receive a clue from the old man first and I underestimated the ease with which the secret room could be found by accident even without the clue. If you have talked to all the characters in town (5 characters, one in each house) and have found the secret room and defeated SUBCON, you have experienced everything that was part of the game. Again, thank you so much to everyone who played!
It took me a little while to understand how cards get replaced in hand from turn to turn. However, once I understood this, the main strategy of the game became apparent and it became a lot more fun to play. Overall, this entry is excellent on all fronts. Thanks for making it!
This is a very well-done entry all around. The core mechanic is done well, and tricking the red guys into falling onto spikes is pretty satisfying revenge for them getting the drop on you from earlier. The pixel art is really nice and cute, and the sound effects and music are pleasant to listen to.
I love the spinning animation when you pull yourself up! The movement mechanics feel very good once you get the hang of it.
This is so far my favorite entry. The gameplay is approachable, but challenging, and your two main methods of detection complement each other really well.
The core mechanic was pretty fun to play. Although the increased vision was helpful, I have to say it got decidedly less creepy to play over time as a result of it.
The presentation on this entry is excellent. The ideas for the encounters did a great job of sticking to the theme of the hidden or lost side of the web while also utilizing non-obvious choices. I look forward to the post-jam version!
This is just an all-around perfect entry. Lots of fun to play and watching your roots divide and gather up water was very satisfying. My personal best time was 49.68s. I managed to find a possible bug where you could get your roots growing in the sky.
At first, I didn't notice the sonar effect and thought you had to learn and memorize each location. Once I learned to use the sonar, the game was a lot more fun. The music is great, and the animating bubbles are a nice touch.
I'm not sure if this was a bug or not, but I did find it seemingly impossible to drop someone off at the Evil Base. I ended up damaging my hull beyond repair trying to get close enough. Altogether, this was a great entry! Thank you for making it!
I'm impressed at how sinister a simple color change can make a word. The difference between seeing a blue word versus a red word made a simple thing like 'laugh' or 'park' have a very different feel to it. Excellent mood on this one.
This is a game that I would love to see a post-competition version of. The core mechanic is fun and challenging. I had trouble locating your entry in ldjam.com after discovering it through SPLORE, but I'm glad I finally tracked it down.
Once I figured out that you could drag-select an entire area to mine, the controls became a lot simpler. I still couldn't figure out what the Yeti item did, though I did place down a set of legs, once, maybe? I made it to the flag, and got a score of 2!
My only critique is that it felt very short, but the puzzle mechanic is unique and engaging, the art style is impressive, and the music is nice to listen to! Love the game!
The ship falling out of the sky like a cartoon got a legitimate laugh out of me. The robot was fun to control, and the "look ahead" feature after each goal really helped a lot. The graphics are very well done and use thePICO-8 color palette to good effect.
It was very easy to lose track of my ship when on foot, especially on the forest planet. I got sucked in by the black hole, but I'm assuming if I come back with better shot upgrades I can maybe destroy it in time?
This is a solidly fun and unique entry. I played through all the levels, and I appreciate that you put the Sandbox missions at the end as a bit of a reward for solving the previous missions. My only minor complaint would be to put the item counts that are at the top of the screen in mouse-button order so it would be easier to remember which mouse button did what.
I played the web version, and the mouse input wasn't so bad. The sound effect of hitting the guys is satisfying, and the background music is nice.
I would love to see more puzzles added to this. I think the main game mechanic is fun and the presentation is great. The sound effects in particular are spot on.
Fair warning, my review contains spoilers!
I enjoyed the Rock-Paper-Scissors mechanic, and figuring out that their dialogue actually indicated what kind of action they were going to take made it fun to map out. The music and the graphics were extremely well-done, also! For anyone that is having trouble getting past the Knight, here's a hint. If he says "...", you should use your Special.
Love the music, and the graphics are extremely well-done and very cute. I have to ask, are Mocha and Butternut Squash inspired by real-life cats, by chance?
The art style is top notch, and the music is fun. The mechanic is easy to grasp and challenging as the game progresses. Nice job!
Very inventive take on an infection-oriented game. Reminds me a bit of Lemmings!
This entry is phenomenal! Love the mood on this, in particular. Great job!
@pennycook I just went and looked at the themes in the final round, and, I can definitely see the resemblance to one in particular, lol. What's funny is this Ludum Dare, EqualEnergy and I actually were so busy the week before we didn't have time to look at any of the voting rounds before participating, so that is pure coincidence.
EqualEnergy and I tried this out, and it's a very clever combination of Pong and Arkanoid. Very cool and well-executed!
It took me a little while to understand the mechanics, but overall, I like it! It seems like it's vitally important to visit your farming spots to check on their instability and Q them up if they get too high. I'm not quite sure what effect ByteCoin has on your money, but I'm guessing there is some kind of interest and saving mechanic built into the game? Very cool idea!
@stroe-andrew Thank you for confirming how that works! I'll have to play it again with that in mind and see if I can top my previous score.
Genuinely felt like being trapped in a small area with a werewolf at times. Neat game!
Everything about this game is top notch! The sound is very atmospheric, the graphics are well done and cute. The little details are amazing, and the gameplay is challenging but well done! Perfect fir for the theme, as well. My high score was 220, but I feel like I can do better, now that I'm getting the hang of it.
simplyblocks_sestren_equalenergy.png EqualEnergy and I had a lot of fun playing this! Thank you for making it!
The idea is pretty neat, although I do wish I could summon a new layer by pressing a button to help with getting back into a game quickly after a loss.
Gearing up for a long jump was satisfying, and the look of the car was very cool.
This entry was a lot of fun to play! The game mechanic was great and well-executed.
Very simple idea that is elegant and very well-executed! I had a lot of fun playing this one.
It was fun trying to figure out what each gun did and what it's strengths and weaknesses were. Other than cooling off your gun, I couldn't figure out if the Ice blast did anything at all, though.
I had fun playing this with EqualEnergy. Really silly and fun!
I always enjoy a good time management game. Gus loves his coffee!
My only complaint is the lack of a score or some way to keep track of how well you're doing. I really like the core mechanic of the game, however. The cover of the Tetris theme was a nice touch!
The music in this is extremely catchy. I loved pretty much everything about this game once I understood how to desaturate the colors.
Absolute love the a capella music and sound effects.
This was a fun and unusual experience. Perfect blend of horror and humor!
This was a lot of fun to play. I had a little trouble reading the cost of things correctly due to lack of spacing between the numbers, but I eventually figured it out, The sound effects were fitting, and the dark lighting was a nice touch!
I tried really hard on the third level, but could not seem to keep even one paper from surviving. I'll have to watch a spoiler, because it seems like the story is worth finishing. Great entry!
Surprisingly calm and peaceful for a game about Llamas fighting on floating platforms!
Great job on making this one. You two really put a lot of work into this entry and I'm really proud of you! The sound effect of the bouncing ball is perfect.
