Pretty fun! With a bit more refined gameplay this would be really awesome, the "growing world which you burrow into to collect things" is a great idea.
Congrats on your first game!
It also ran super-fast for me, but I was still able to beat it by carefully tapping S. I like the idea as well, makes me think of some part of Super Mario Galaxy.
When you do any time-sensitive stuff in a game, such as moving things with velocity, always multiply the velocity by the amount of time that's passed since the last game tick (I forget what LÖVE calls it, maybe timedelta or deltatime). This should make stuff move at the same rate on all computers.
I couldn't get past level 3, I assumed I just wasn't clever enough for it, though. :)
Really creative, fun concept! "Base getting hit" sound is a bit annoying.
Chrome thinks your .exe is malicious. I will try this out as soon as I can, it looks really cool!
Wow! Does not dissapoint! It's a difficult but very creative take on Shmups. Kind of like a tower defense that I actually like.
I wasn't able to win, I ran out of space and kept respawning at a location where I couldn't move far enough to try to create a new city. Neat idea, though.
Really clever idea! Gets a bit frustrating at the end when it's really hard to tell if you can place anything.
Neat! I like the idea of tiny-world gardening games.
It took me a little bit to understand the meaning of "Connect the two pulsating cubes with a pair of same-color cubes" because the pulsating cubes were different colors. I would have written something like "change the color of the pulsating cubes so they match, then connect the pulsating cubes with a chain of cubes of the same color".
I like the style and the basic gameplay is nice, I noticed it's most effective(?) to connect more cubes of the same color than you need to. The only problems are A) gray cubes can still be interacted with and B) It's not obvious why you get a Game Over: it's hard to tell when you have "stranded" a cube.
I got so close to winning! Pretty cool use of the theme.
Pretty neat! The 'clean pickup/dropoff' bonus makes it pretty challenging at times. Some kinda gameover when you reach 0 credits would be nice, but I got the point pretty quickly anyways.
I can't download the game, my browser just hangs on a blank page, even if I do to filetolink.com directly. I will try again tomorrow.
Really fun! Really beautiful! SHMUP YOU!
I had some trouble timing my teleports exactly, it was not uncommon to teleport directly into a bullet. I would have preferred to be able to hold down X, which displays a "ghost" at the point I will teleport to, and then RELEASE it to teleport.
Awesome job!
I posted a post-compo version with some improvements and two new levels!
This is the best mitochondrion-themed game I have ever played (I think I played some terrible FMV mitochondrion-themed game from the 90s). The "don't get too big to fit through passages to deliver the amino acids" idea is neat.
It's very pretty, too!
Best audio I've heard so far, great graphics too. I would have made the fuses on bombs shorter, or made the throws a bit less forceful, so it's a bit easier to hit things without just throwing a bunch of bombs.
Always good to see some procedural generation!
Cool interpretation of the theme! There are not enough medieval-philosophy-dance-party games in the world!
Creative spin on the TD genre. Not a big fan of the the genre (probably why I thought it was a bit slow) but still an interesting game.
Nice Super Meat Boy clone :)
Very interesting idea. Pretty tough!
GROUND BEEF!!!! POW POW BLAM KHTHOOOOM!
I also couldn't get Silverlight working, it wanted me to enable hardware acceleration but I couldn't figure out how. Blame Microsoft :(
That was pretty funny! I felt a little sad at the end when nothing happened when I clicked.
Pretty fun to just fool around with, I wish you had the time to implement something to do with wood, rock tiles, and water tiles. You lose an innovation star 'cause Triple Town already did it :). Great job!
I didn't have the patience to eat enough to grow to the next size, I think if there were more humans and you moved faster, that wouldn't be a problem. Dodge-bullets-and-eat-humans looks like it would be more fun when you're bigger and there's lots of bullets to dodge.
My score was 9 goats!
Pretty cool! Nice UI, it gets pretty difficult if you aren't able to coordinate your defense well, 'cause you will lose your monsters one-by-one and might not have the gold to buy more.
"Double, Double" makes me immediately think of this: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Double-Double
Nice game! Fun, with nice graphics.
Pretty freaking hard! I like how it fit the theme by forcing me to chase a woman around and beat her to death, that's really uncomfortable.
Pretty creative design and controls; kind of a dialogue-controlled RTS.
Props for completing a jam entry ahead of the deadline!
Keyboard errors are probably due to the keyboard controller hardware, though I suspect OS can contribute, too. This is why, for example, the Arcade Royale arcade machine actually uses two seperate keyboard controllers because otherwise you would get really weird results when multiple players tried to press their buttons at the same time.
I didn't even think to try to move multiple dudes at the same time! Somehow I got to Level V anyways, but had to go afk suddenly, I was so bummed. My strategy was to try to space out the dudes as much as possible so that when a black hole appeared, I would only need to move one at a time in ideal circumstances. If I thought about multiple dudes, I would probably try to group together dudes who are close together on the keyboard, but otherwise keep the same strategy. Kinda hard to move A and P at the same time.
Cool ending! But I gotta ask, is this canon?
It's pretty fun to fling them into the air by getting them to fall over on their side THEN flinging them, so they go directly up.
Get the car on its roof by turning sharply while going fast, then see what happens when you hit W.
Pretty cool, I like the combination of puzzle-style controls, gravity, and timing, which makes for some creative platforming.
A unique approach to the typing genre.
Lemmings!
I got a score of 1415 over 14 days. I used as many actions as I received, so I ended up going into explosive growth and turning the whole island into sand. I like the idea of a turn-based building game that has time pressure.
Really cool looking, and great use of the theme, but it felt kind of like a crapshoot since I just had to guess what the enemy was going to do.
I have to agree with all the "whoa cool this is awesome but I can't make sense of any of it" comments :)
Using the ten seconds as a resource to execute commands is a great idea. I think if I had more patience I would figure out how to beat the game through experimentation.
I like the idea of swapping between worlds every 10 seconds, most games simply end in 10 seconds. I actually didn't realize I shouldn't kill the geese, but I like the idea of the gameplay changing each time you switch, it reminds me of a game I made several years ago with "two-sided" gameplay: http://gamejolt.com/games/arcade/axis-caeli/4007/
Looks really cool. It's pretty hard to control your ship, especially when you bounce in a corner and get stuck bouncing back and forth. I think it would help if it didn't re-orient your ship after you bounced.
Looks pretty cool. I lost because I couldn't find a piece of lettuce that was on top of a green square.
Clever. Much like in Tetris, it would help to have a preview of the next block's shape.
Cool portraits, I'm not really sure why I keep losing even though I'm outrunning the crosshairs though.
holycrap, this is so awesome. Weird (and pretty) graphics. Weird sound effects. Cool use of the theme. Cool weapon design. I really can't find anything wrong!
I kinda like the concept but because I had to stop for each battle I didn't really have time to do anything else but get the wooden sword. Maybe I'm missing something. I think it might work better if you didn't have time auto-advance but instead make it advance when you moved / attacked, keeping with the turn-based nature of the turn-based RPGs that inspire this game.
I scored 66942. I really like the concept of the game.
I liked the fact that I had to shoot the legs, made the shooting a bit more interesting.
Also, "Jellyfish populations have spiralled out of control, and they have become EVIL." ^_^
I like how the plants talk randomly, I don't think I've played a puzzle game like that.
really juicy!
Title screen animation is neat :)
It's interesting to try and figure out how the cats respond to the pointer.
chopsquare souls
Mac-only build of a Unity game, boo!
dongiest game in the compo
Pretty hard, I couldn't beat any of them on the first try. Air control would help. Still, neat concept, cool use of theme.
