Loved what you started. Great nugget of an idea and great visual style, shame you didn't get to explore it further.

Great work on the visuals!

Oreganik 2012-04-23 04:38

Great concept and well executed. Smooth controls, great colors, and I love the parallax. Was disappointed it was only a single level. That's usually a good sign. =)

Nice visual style, and a solid foundation to build upon :)

oye-beto 2012-04-23 04:57

Great graphics.

This is the best mitochondrion-themed game I have ever played (I think I played some terrible FMV mitochondrion-themed game from the 90s). The "don't get too big to fit through passages to deliver the amino acids" idea is neat.

It's very pretty, too!

r3ason 2012-04-23 08:37

Solid. Great job! I definitely think you have a solid base from which you could expand this (perhaps levels where you visit other cellular structures?) Graphics are superb!

jacic 2012-04-24 20:50

Great graphics, but amino acids are often stuck inside walls where I can't reach them. Good work though!

I really loved this! It would be cool to add some bouncing off of walls to make the controls more fluid I think. The graphics were perfect!

I love the graphics, the color scheme reminds me of browsing games at CompUSA.

Really enjoyed the visuals. It's close to one of the ideas I was considering, so that gives it automatic bonus points.

hazematman 2012-04-26 03:27

Looks like it would have made a pretty cool game, sadly its unfinished :(
I have to say I really love the graphics, would love to see a finished version of this!

rybar 2012-04-26 03:44

Thanks for the kind words everyone! I do plan to take this a little further, but I might take it to Unity so I can have more fun with the special effects.

shigor 2012-04-26 21:48

Interesting idea and seems like a nice concept for interesting game. Too bad it's really too unfinished :/

buffalophil 2012-04-27 01:45

Pretty sweet!

tinymagus 2012-04-27 21:35

Enjoyed the visuals. Looks like the start of something cool.

tourgen 2012-04-28 05:26

looks good, cool idea

brighterorange 2012-04-28 18:20

I made 'em all spin, but was there more to do? :) I liked the mechanism of needing to stay small to get through some of the passages, and it played pretty smoothly...

mrbarnslig 2012-05-06 01:59

Liked the idea and the visuals. I lit up all the yellow blobs but unfortunately nothing happened. Would have loved to see more areas. Nice work!

allusion 2012-05-06 04:43

Nice start, this really could be something. Great idea, fits the theme very well, and it was fun for an incomplete game.

I hope you keep at it.

mrho 2012-05-06 10:32

The graphics are very nice :)

nehmulos 2012-05-06 16:10

Nice greaphics, especially the background looks great. The movement was also very smooth and felt quite good.
I really liked how the bubble streched when moving fast.
The first level was fun and relaxing with these nice colors and the smooth movement.

1: hint when you lower the scale while shooting you should set the new position by using the center of the big bubble, otherwise it kind of moves up-left a little bit with each shot.

Sad that it's unfinished, I really would have liked to hear some matching music (or is it just buggy in chromeium?).

tentontoon 2012-05-06 16:35

Very interesting concept and execution! I like where you're going with this game. And I specifically say "you're going", instead of "you were going", because I'd really like to see an extended post-compo version.

Congratulations!

azurenimbus 2012-05-09 22:45

Ah, I was really looking forward to seeing what would happen when all the organisms rotated... so disappointing! But in a good way, because it means I got really engaged in your game. Liked the main core of it, and also the graphics, that reminded me a lot of Metroid.

I'd like to see where you take this! :)
