LD21 — Escape

Poltergeist by Gib 2011-08-23T00:16:00

Good gravy! Heard the first ghost and jumped outta my skin, accidentally hit a bunch of keys (which flipped desktop spaces on my Macbook Pro), and promptly died (in game). Job well done!

The Cell by kevglass 2011-08-23T01:05:00

Brilliant all around!

LD23 — Tiny World

ToastBiome by tinyworlds 2012-04-27T06:28:00

Always wanted to mine jam from a piece of toast. ;-) Good little start; music is fun! Thanks for sharing.

Tiny World Thing by Kix 2012-04-27T06:14:00

Hmm, not exactly sure what to do here, but no doubt you have something in mind! As stated, a post-mortem would be great! Would love to hear the thought process behind the game. Thanks for putting the effort in, and congrats on finishing LD!

Bugs Planet by Cyboot 2012-04-30T02:21:00

Crazy! Pretty fun! Liked the core game mechanics here. Thanks!

My Kid Dropped The Planet by MadGnomeGamer 2012-04-25T02:20:00

Fun! Great little concept; played it a few times! Thanks!

The Tourist by FunkyDelPueblo 2012-04-27T03:30:00

Just one...more...block... :D Great idea; really like the take on the theme! Thanks!

It's a tiny world by Endurion 2012-04-26T07:34:00

Jolly good! Great little roguelike; thanks!

The Small World of Professor Strange by Will Edwards 2012-04-26T08:06:00

Haha, this is great; love it! Bookmarking for later! Thanks!

Spitoon by Sestren 2012-04-27T06:31:00

Great! Liked the color-changing as you spit yourself out. Keep developing this! Thanks for sharing.

TINY LIZARD SWELL WORLD by racarate 2012-04-30T04:53:00

Oh my various stars that is one *TINY* lizard! D: To be quit honest, I have no idea what's going on in this game! However, it looks quite clever and devious! Will no doubt come back to it later on if I have time. NOTE: the lizard was really hard to see! Especially if you're slightly colour deficient! Thanks for sharing your game!

Bill in BSODia by vigrid 2012-04-23T18:43:00

Great! Loved the intro, and the environment graphics! Good fun all around (and this coming from an Apple fan!)

Free Donutia by the8donut 2012-04-30T03:12:00

Great! Really enjoyed this entry! Would love it if you could somehow build defenses (walls, turrets?). Thanks!

Cyberoid by Pedro de Quadros 2012-04-25T04:30:00

Good job overall; this is a good start to--what I feel could be--a longer, more in-depth game. Also, is there a score counter that I missed? Thanks!

Solar Sailor by vilya 2012-04-27T06:39:00

oi! Controls are pretty sensitive (had to reload after I started rocketing all over the place!). I like the idea though. Definitely puts a new twist on just a regular 'ole racing game. Thanks!

The Two of Us by scoopsy 2012-04-29T04:30:00

Deploying MBP in 3..2..1..Play commences NOW. Heh. Well, it's definitely unpolished (and very cruel in terms of exiting when getting hit). That said, it was pretty entertaining, especially knocking over the enemies. Color scheme is great. Thanks!

Tiny's World by Topaz 2012-04-30T03:25:00

Pretty fun! I liked the cloud graphics, and the uncertainty as to where the foot was going to step next. The levels did drag on a little long, though... And perhaps having a variety of "enemies" (rather than just one foot) would help as well! Good music!

Poiesis by Them Games 2012-04-28T07:37:00

wow...this is deep! I definitely like the slightly awkward controls, and the precision that goes into poking holes and such. Love it! Thanks for sharing! Bookmarking for later inspiration...

Asylum by Orni 2012-04-28T19:31:00

wow...sound please! Great game!

"Vesta: Galactic Convict Colony by Phased 2012-04-24T06:27:00

Fun little diversion! Took me a minute to figure out that each guy was worth 10 pts. Always fun to get rid of guys in orange jumpsuits! Thanks!

Ant Run by fatSquirrel 2012-04-24T04:34:00

Good! Liked the concept of not being able to go backwards. Thanks for creating this!

World Saver! by Zythiku 2012-04-24T04:12:00

Interesting! Was a bit on the hard side for me, but I liked the feel of it. Very other-worldy. Thanks for sharing! Will now go and try the post 48hr version :D

Block Bros by HeuGamer 2012-04-27T03:20:00

Pretty clever for a first game! Congrats and thanks for sharing!

Supercell by Nick Cash 2012-05-01T05:44:00

Great first entry! Music was awesome and controls felt fluid. It got to a point where there was a ton of stuff on the screen, and I wasn't quite sure what was good/bad! Otherwise, a solid, fun little entry. Thanks!

The Little Glitch by Kroltan 2012-04-26T01:23:00

Pretty cool! Took a long time to figure out the first platform. And now I feel stupid for taking that long :D Thanks for the game!

Hoperay by Shackhal 2012-05-02T00:26:00

Wow, well that game over music is fantastic! Great choice! But...But...Y NO POWERUPS?! :D Anyway, great game, keep up the good work, and look forward to seeing where you go with this or future games. Congrats on finishing LD 23! Thanks for making this!

3rd Planet by xillix 2012-04-28T18:44:00

Cool concept! Music would be nice. Also, it seems that the gravitational pull from earth could be a bit stronger? Otherwise the ball just flies around for a long while as you just sit and wait. Other than that, I really like the new take on Pong! Thanks!

Underfoot by zorf 2012-05-01T05:26:00

That was satisfying :D Pretty fun concept! I'd agree that the pace of the game could be a bit faster...perhaps powerups to make you walk faster? Or a combo bonus that speeds you up? Thanks!

Skully's Microscopic World by Skully 2012-04-26T01:32:00

Great start! Would be cool to see this developed further! Liked the audio. Thanks!

Tiny Wor ds by BNeutral 2012-04-28T20:10:00

Fabulous! And very creative! I had wanted to somehow integrate twitter into my game, but you did it so wonderfully! Thanks for sharing! Bookmarking for later inspiration...

Flight of the Ladybug by robcozzens 2012-04-25T05:24:00

Haha! This is great! Finally, a one-button entry! Sometimes less is more! A great game to switch up all the other entries. Thanks!

Boxed in. by PIXEL^3 2012-04-26T01:38:00

Oooh, this was fun! Great levels, great puzzles, overall a really polished entry; congrats! Thanks!

Dusty's Adventure by CuberToy 2012-04-25T05:02:00

Yes. Just. Yes. Awesome.

Nanobot Rescue Team by Hegemege 2012-04-28T08:17:00

Fun! Feels like a solid shooter! Thanks!

Tininess Defense by The-Force 2012-04-25T04:47:00

I played. I died. I lol'd when I died :D Pretty fun; unique concept! Thanks!

Baby Farm by MrEvilGuy 2012-04-24T06:12:00

Okay...I have no idea what I just played here...but it was kinda awesome in a weird way! Audio was great. Especially that opening song. ...oh what the heck, I'm gonna give it another go! :)

Tiny World Peace by jwolf 2012-04-27T01:49:00

Good entry! It took me a while to actually figure out what I was controlling with the arrow keys, but I finally got it! Thanks for sharing!

6 Degrees of Sabotage by dukope 2012-04-30T03:41:00

Great game! Really liked the graphics and the way the characters stand out from the bystanders. Unfortunately, I ended up eliminating several innocent bystanders :-/ Question: are the saboteurs randomly decided each round? If so, this would greatly enhance the replay value! Overall, fun game; thanks!

Hungry Ants by Dew 2012-05-01T23:55:00

Oh dear, I got overrun by white ants! Pretty fun game, though! I like the building concept; perhaps allow the player to keep building tunnels, though, rather than clicking one tunnel piece and then having to re-select the tunnel tool? (played in Firefox; don't know if Chrome works better). Really liked this; thanks!

Don't Leave our Home! by EdiiKnorand 2012-04-28T02:14:00

Thanks Kvisle for the port. Game itself was interesting. I like how you could detach from the planet. Controls seemed a bit sluggish to me. Also, perhaps instead of dying, just reduce health? And/or give a cooldown time? I kept getting hit, respawning, and instantly dying again. Anyway, good effort, and I'd love to see the idea expanded on. Thanks!

TINY COMPUTER PEOPLE by Tuba 2012-04-30T04:29:00

Ah, I love this management game! I'd say take it to the next level! Thanks!

Tiny Religion by dagothig 2012-04-26T06:27:00

Way fun! Low expectations, but I was so wrong! Took a minute to figure out that you type [command] Help, but after that it was pretty straight forward. Love it! Thanks!

World In A Bottle by Serilyn 2012-04-24T03:44:00

Wow. This was one that I was all but expecting to be a disappointment. Boy was I wrong; this is right up my ally! Excellent job. Graphics are great; killed a the rabbits, and I felt heartless, seeing all of their little bones lying there! ...I agree with the previous comment; more bottles like the screenshot would be great. Thanks for making this!

Quantum Entanglement by icefallgames 2012-04-27T02:01:00

NICE! Love the levels in the form of text files; makes it wonderful for extending the gameplay and certainly level creation on the developer's end. Thanks!

Tiny Crash Landing by Ranoka 2012-04-28T18:51:00

Heh, I kept falling into space (thought those were walls, not holes in the planet!...I can be a bit slow sometimes, but I finally got it!) Anyway, not much to add to the other comments. Faster walking would be good. A HUD, or some sort of indicator for the parts you've collected would be nice. Would like to see this developed further! Thanks for the fun little game!

A Drop of Water by canary40 2012-04-28T17:52:00

Oh my various stars, that scared the crap out of me! :D Thanks!

When Worlds Collide by AlwaysGeeky 2012-04-28T02:20:00

Graphically, this is simply amazing (and very complete feeling)! ...it's also exactly what I'd imagine the world would look like if it were in Minecraft :P Restart animation was fabulous and a nice touch. I think it'd be interesting to have additional planets, and perhaps longer time and/or the ability for the world to regenerate maybe? All in all, a quick entertaining little game!

Immunity by Waffenwars 2012-04-26T07:48:00

Interesting! Nice take on a biology subject; reminds me a bit of tron if it took place inside the human body. Thanks for the fun li'l game!

Walker by Catman 2012-04-30T03:29:00

What we have here is a great little game! LOVE the take on the theme; very original and a nice break from ant/bacteria/pixel games! Am just in awe of the art; love the color switch of the player between signs. This is just great; thanks!

Jack Primus and the Adventure of Tiny Things by Wizered67 2012-04-26T01:11:00

Interesting... Was a bit on the hard side, but not bad for a first entry! Thanks!

The Invasion of Timmy by The_Observer 2012-05-01T23:12:00

Nice work on an official first game! Having the same objects hurt and then heal you is a nice twist! Liked the graphics. Especially the white cell eating the others! I'm just going to take a stab at saying the directional controls are in a single IF / ELSE IF statement? My only suggestion would be to separate these out and/or make it so that I don't have to let up off of the direction I'm going in order to move in a new direction. Other than this, hmm...not much else comes to mind. Perhaps a few separate screens with the intro text (as opposed to cramming it all on one page)? I think this (on page of instructions) is perfectly fine when you have a limited amount of time, but I think overall gamers are going to better enjoy having it broken up into separate screens and/or incorporated somehow into the game as a tutorial. Overall, very enjoyable game; thanks!

Crumble by seigenblues 2012-04-24T05:38:00

Great! Challenging enough, but not too hard. Love the snachers' laugh :D Thanks for sharing your game, and a job well done on your first LD!

CastleMania by paslam 2012-04-30T01:38:00

Fascinating! I *really* like that your axes come back down and can actually kill you. That being said, perhaps in a future version, you'd just lose health, rather than straight up dying each time you're hit? Great fun; thanks!

Battle For Tiny Space - Routing Edition by thynnmas 2012-04-28T02:36:00

Interesting; took me a bit to figure out! I found a couple of the colours hard to distinguish, as I'm slightly colour deficient. Overall, though, not a bad game; found myself really getting into it. Thanks!

Michael is Myopic by Several 2012-04-27T02:05:00

Interesting concept here! I kind of like it! Thanks for sharing!

Tiny Dream by Kendja 2012-04-24T06:03:00

Art! Amazing! Pretty trippy game, with the rotated levels. Will bookmark this and come back to it for inspiration later on. If you get a chance, add some atmospheric sound/music to it... Thanks for making this!

The Sheep Are Sinking by Gremlin 2012-04-24T04:46:00

Good game. Dumb sheep. :D But no, in all seriousness, the game was a blast (of course, in all seriousness, sheep really are kinda stupid creatures!). This would have worked well for the indirect control theme too... Thanks!

Spaceships: Origins by liger13 2012-04-27T04:45:00

Clever take on a shooter! Like it! Good music. Thanks for sharing your game!

Rally Mites by siasia 2012-04-26T01:14:00

Yeah! Micro Machines! :D If you could put some scoring and stuff in, it'd be really great!

Rally Mites by siasia 2012-04-26T01:15:00

Yeah! Micro Machines! :D If you could put some scoring and stuff in, it'd be really great! Thanks!

muniverse by namuol 2012-04-27T02:21:00

Wow, this feels really in-depth! Definitely a full game going on here; great job; thanks!

TinyParts by basspenguin 2012-04-27T04:58:00

I wanted to find floaty a better brian! :D Seriously, though, I like where the story was going with this! Great job; develop it further! Thanks for sharing your game!
(P.S. seemed to work fine on Firefox, as far as I could tell)

GutsyBot vs the Universe by pawlmurray 2012-04-30T04:33:00

Not bad at all! Got pretty frantic there towards the end! I think it would've been easier to have the shooting independent of the movement, but the way it is does certainly lend a bit more of a challenge to it. Thanks!

Fart Together by mess110 2012-04-26T07:09:00

Heh. Odd. And rather hilarious! Thanks for the chuckle!

Leptogenesis by QAZWSX 2012-04-26T06:51:00

How interesting! I'd say polish the graphics, add a bit of variety to it, and it'd make a great mobile game! Was a bit disappointed that the sound didn't loop, but no biggie. Thanks for sharing your game!

Under the Glass by dxdydz 2012-05-02T00:00:00

Great! Good game; really liked the fading colours! I think it'd be great if you didn't die the first time you hit a bad cell-thingie, and also if you couldn't float off the screen. Also, I got a tad confused as to which way I was pointing, but then again, I suppose not all micro organisms have heads/tails, do they? :D Thanks!

Les Petites Bombes by jgalecki 2012-04-23T18:00:00

Pretty good! Liked the way you have planets with different gravitational pulls. Tutorial text was well-placed too.

Stade 2 (Mr.Oizo) by 30dogs 2012-04-26T01:40:00

Yeah, finish this! Please! Great graphics, great music. Like others have said, very immersive. Can't believe this is your first entry! Thanks!

Immunity by umwgmc 2012-04-25T03:59:00

Hung on loading, so downloaded Java 7; worked fine. Love the concept! Great job!

Little World Adventure by firstrowgames 2012-04-27T02:24:00

Definitely could use some polishing up, but I look forward to seeing what this turns into! Great little beginning; everything fits together. Thanks!

love in the time of fishbowls by otaviogood 2012-04-27T02:17:00

Clever! Some similar sounds, but all around pretty ingenious and fun; thanks!

Tiny Journey by Evil Sandwich Studios 2012-04-30T02:13:00

Sheesh, talk about a depressing ending! BUT...the game itself: fabulous! Played the Jam version, and encountered a few bugs, but nothing that kept me from finishing. Great artwork. Great sound (reminded me of Binding of Isaac). Simply amazing all around. Thanks!

Save Tiny World by Biv Game Studios 2012-04-27T20:21:00

Fun break from all the desktop games! Would love to hear some music included. Great job; thanks!

Predicament by orangepascal 2012-04-28T08:32:00

Fun! Great mix of humor and gameplay! Thanks!

Are You Okay? by Bread 2012-04-30T03:50:00

Heh...That was...different! I'm honestly not exactly sure how to rate this one! I think it'd be fascinating to see this developed into a longer game. Thanks for sharing!

Tiny Worlds by Lidfrid 2012-04-30T03:34:00

Great idea! Was a bit hard at first to get controls down, but it cleared up as time went on. Music was fantastic! Thanks!

In a Jam by teamVGS 2012-04-24T09:07:00

Fun! It was pretty challenging, because I couldn't seem to get the jar dispenser to work...finally did something different, and it started working. After that, it was a jam of a time :D Thanks for sharing your game!

Magic House by vitou3d 2012-04-27T05:34:00

Ooh, I like the mechanics, and the puzzles! I think if you developed the story a bit more, it'd be awesome! The last level reminded me of Portal, when you go behind the scenes / break out of the test chambers...is that what you were going for? Thanks for making this!

On Another Scale by Christian S. 2012-04-26T07:56:00

Anyone order a question mark? :D Interesting style, but it actually works for this! Good music, odd colors, size changing. Good play! Thanks!

Watercolour by Super Soul 2012-04-26T06:54:00

ack! I can't get it to run on x64 Windows either...I really want to play this too! ...will bookmark and check back to see if there's a working x64 version!

Kumiho by Christina Antoinette Neofotistou 2012-04-26T07:51:00

Aw yeah! Awesome! Thanks!

Oh Boy, Oh Boy by Digitalis 2012-04-30T01:48:00

Fun! Beautiful game with simple mechanics! Really enjoyed this one (wish it had a nice ambient sound track to go with it!) Thanks!

Earth Is Dying! by Attrition 2012-04-27T03:11:00

This could get pretty interesting! Thanks for sharing!

Circuit by moltanem2000 2012-04-25T05:05:00

This is fun! Would love to see more added to it; thanks!

Solenopsis Invicta by CoffeeOnimal 2012-04-24T04:38:00

I definitely see some good mechanics at play here. Could use some fleshing out, but I think it's off to a good start! Once I figured out how to deposit the ants at the food, it went pretty smoothly. Thanks!

Stage 2 Chaos by skyboy49707 2012-05-02T00:20:00

Pretty good! Definitely see the Legends of Yore inspiration (which isn't a bad thing; I think it's good to be inspired by things! I tried picking up the powerups, but it seemed like once you had one equipped in that slot, you couldn't swap it out with another? Or maybe it did, and I just didn't notice it. Also, the enemies got pretty hard pretty fast! Perhaps it could respawn some lower level enemies if you scroll off the screen? This way you can go back and keep increasing your level until you can take on the higher level enemies. Anyhoo, good game! Thanks for sharing!

Rudolph the JUMPING SPIDER by zdanielz 2012-04-26T07:25:00

Aaah! The fly kept flying away...and I was so hungry... :D He finally cooperated, though, and I ate him several times. What a fun little idea; thanks!

tr-3012 by heuermh 2012-04-26T06:34:00

Can't figure out what to do exactly; is the point to just make random noises? If someone could point out the goal, I'll give it another go! Thanks!

tr-3012 by heuermh 2012-04-26T06:35:00

Can't figure out what to do exactly; is the point to just make random noises? If someone could give a small hint, I'll give it another go! Thanks!

Nook by PoV 2012-04-24T03:33:00

Well it's just all around...good! Controls seemed a bit sluggish, but not enough to knock any stars off. I'd love to see this on a tablet device at some point!

INSANE MEGASNAIL PENETRATION by SukiSan 2012-04-24T06:42:00

You have fulfilled my fantasy of being a megasnail. For that, I thank you. :D Good job. Felt pretty solid (though there were a ton of bees/birds/plains/flying things outside of the walls; is this normal?). Would be cool if you "run over" the infantry guys. Thanks for sharing your game!

Chisana Saga by Neonlare 2012-04-30T04:22:00

Clever! *Really* like the mechanic of only having to equip a spell, and it auto-casting when you're near an enemy. Thanks for sharing!

Pastor Mundi by Geti 2012-04-28T07:54:00

For being very incomplete, this surprisingly felt really good! I planted a lot of seeds, and then mistakenly stepped into the lake :-/ I really like the graphics and color palette; they work really well! Controls felt a bit too fluid; turning was really fast, and a bit hard to control. "K" was fun, and I felt rather terrible for pressing it! Anyway, great start, really want to see what this turns into! Thanks!

CAPSULE [web] by True Valhalla 2012-04-24T03:14:00

Hmm, don't really have much to add to the comments already listed; it was certainly different! Graphics are great. Really. Took me a bit to figure out what items were interactive, but once done it really piqued my interest. I'd for one like to see this developed further...

Big Space Tiny Man by invaderJim 2012-04-24T04:23:00

Fun! Loved the little guys climbing on you! Would have been cool if you could have won...Thanks!

Pro Stew Chugger by Tourgen 2012-04-27T05:10:00

I always thought games would be better with stew... Nice work; congrats on finishing! Thanks!

Bunny Cube by Sebby 2012-04-25T05:13:00

Whaaat?! Mind=blown. What an ending! Thanks, I really enjoyed this!

terminus by zillix 2012-04-25T04:42:00

Good. Very good. Has a really polished feel to it; like a tiny world really lives inside of this game. Hey...imagine that... Thanks!

Ant, Bee, Cow, Pig and Spider BOSS by karnakgames 2012-04-23T18:34:00

Well that was just plain fun! The best quality of the game, if you will, is that it enticed me to keep playing until I won. Great job with the variety between the puzzles. Oh, and that ant walking sound...so annoying yet so perfect :D
Overall, the game brought me back to the days of Kings Quest for some reason. Anyway, great job; thanks for making this!

Wild West World by DeathBySnail 2012-04-25T04:59:00

Fun! Couldn't figure out how to drop bad guys off at the sheriff's...oh well, shooting them was great fun :D Thanks!

Pixel Story by Flyboy 2012-05-02T00:10:00

Wow, incredible! Can definitely see the effort that went into this; feels very polished. Also great that the whole game didn't reset when you died (a couple levels took me several tries!). Thanks!

Mitochondrion by Rybar 2012-04-23T08:37:00

Solid. Great job! I definitely think you have a solid base from which you could expand this (perhaps levels where you visit other cellular structures?) Graphics are superb!

TinyFish by Werxzy 2012-05-02T04:58:00

Interesting! I think that to attack the evil fish, you just run into them? ...At least that's what I was doing and it seemed to work :D Really liked the way the other fish follow you around. Fun to play; keep working on it; Thanks!

Tiny Failures by whitetigle 2012-04-30T05:26:00

Interesting! I'm not exactly sure what the goal is? Is it just to ensure that none of the characters run into each other? Graphics look great! I'd definitely look forward to seeing how this progresses if you put more time into it! Thanks for sharing your game!

Tiny girl by Fenyx 2012-04-28T07:59:00

Heh, pretty fun! Thank you for tying the shooting to a KeyPress event, rather than KeyDown. This really made the direction switching easy as you only have to worry about tapping one key... Also agree that explaining to hit the "Z" on the menu select would be a bit of a help. Thanks for sharing your game!

Memento XII by deepnight 2012-04-28T21:18:00

Wow, that was amazing! Thanks!

Flatlands by johannhat 2012-04-27T03:00:00

Huh...interesting! Pretty fun little game; thanks!

dLeIaFtEh by Cell 2012-04-24T06:07:00

Not sure I understood exactly what I was doing, but I really liked the art style and the music...Wish I could make something like that in 5 hours! Thanks!

[Darkness Creeping] by AD-Edge 2012-04-28T08:12:00

well this is just dandy. Thanks to your creepy little game I am for sure going to have nightmares tonight... :D But really, well done! I dunno, but I kinda liked the I'm-almost-out-of-control-but-not-quite feel of the game. Definitely conveyed the feeling of being extremely weak. Mood/feel for this game is just perfect. Would love to see this developed even further (and would therefore be quite scared to play it!!) Thanks for making this.

Sword of Altaria by shard123 2012-04-27T02:34:00

Good start! Music was really nice; reminded me of an old school NES game :D Thanks!

We're going to need another Gnomy! by Ghoul159 2012-05-01T22:50:00

Games where you step on or throw other peeps is always satisfying! Pretty good implementation. I'd say the difficulty rises a bit fast...perhaps a special gnome that maybe slows the giants down (or freezes) them for a short while would help? You could have it where those gnomes are rare and take more fame, so then the player has to decide if they want to summon a gnome now, or wait until they can summon a freeze/slow gnome...just a thought! Thanks for the fun little game!

Accretion by bastiandantilus 2012-04-24T05:44:00

Good! It really got fun when the graphics changed and I suddenly had a planet. Sometimes it's not a bad thing to be a planet-creator! Would like to see this fleshed out further. Thanks!

Pin Party by cambrian_era 2012-04-27T05:42:00

Ahh, pretty good after I read the instructions :D Was a little hard with the dual keysets, but that could just be me. Very colorful, and the music was great. Thanks for sharing!

Blue's World by matt9837 2012-04-28T17:49:00

Ah, cubes! They hold a special place in my heart :) Loved the "small" feel of the game, which added complexity to it. There were a few times where the controls didn't quite seem to respond, but I'll just chalk that up to my own fault. Would love to hear a little 8-bit tune to accompany the game, along with maybe some story text at the top/bottom of the screen to begin each level? Just some thoughts! Thanks for making and sharing this!

Nature Wisp by Killswitch 2012-04-28T02:28:00

Interesting! Sound would make this better! Overall I liked it!

Drop of Life by MrTwister 2012-04-29T00:22:00

Ahh, pretty fun! Didn't last long (I'm terrible at the Game of Life!). Great graphics, though. Thanks for sharing!

Scorched Earth by Jungorend 2012-04-27T02:46:00

Congrats on your first Ludum Dare! I like the idea behind this game quite a bit! I think it'd be a bit better if the cursor moved a bit more/faster, as it took a long time at the beginning to get all the way from blue to red. Overall, though, I'd be excited to see where you can take this!

Conquest of the Cyber-Ovine by Nanolotl 2012-04-28T07:48:00

err...am I a sheep?? :D This was pretty good! Felt pretty balanced. Hard, but not impossible. Nice touch to have you start over at the current level if you die, rather than the beginning of the game. Very fun! Thanks!

Angle Isle by Rusty Moyher 2012-04-28T02:41:00

Graphics and sounds are great! Loved the way you really have to plan in order to get some of the fruits. Thanks!

Lone World by Harrk 2012-04-26T06:16:00

Great! I got stuck in a wall when one of the black floating things hit me, but overall, I'm highly impressed with this entry! Thanks for sharing!

Mini-Worlds and Monocles by Zed 2012-04-30T05:40:00

Oh.wow. Was a bit skeptical of all the ratings, but decided to give it a go anyway. So glad I did! This is just a plain, all around, fun game! Really like the art and sound. Thanks for creating this!

Particulate Planet by Jedi 2012-04-26T06:58:00

Well that was different...art style and sound were top notch :D Thanks!

Most of us live in a tiny world by jeffz 2012-04-27T05:05:00

Well, obviously this could use some more work, but I think I like what I'm seeing here...On the surface, it just appears to be another take on the game of Life. It'd be cool if the players realize what's going on right away, though, as they race to get from square to square accumulating points and only partway through the game you realize, "Oh... all these points I've been collecting, or goals I've been working towards in the game, really are not good, and they're having a negative impact on life"...catch my drift? Create something life-changing out of this! :D Thanks for providing a few minutes of thoughtful introspection in the midst of rating games!

Primordial Smackdown: Bacteria with Badditude by Vilborg 2012-04-27T02:53:00

Pretty fun stuff here! Biting was a bit difficult. Fix this, 'cause there's nothing so satisfying as to go around biting things in a game :D

Tiny Planet by CherryNukaCola 2012-04-24T05:09:00

Fun. Controls probably would have been easier with keys (instead of mouse), but it works. Hard to see through all the 'splosions! Thanks for making this!

(Tiny) Worlds of Illusion by madmaw 2012-05-02T04:48:00

My eyes!! D: Nah, this is a wonderful, amazing departure from the same 'ole same 'ole games submitted! I am literally seeing spots right now! Hermann done me in :P Great graphics, great sound to go along with it! Only minor issue (which I think someone else mentioned) is that bullets tend to "stick" on the screen. Is this intended? Thanks for making this!

Galactic Taxi by remeh 2012-04-28T17:39:00

Couldn't play it and rate it as I sadly only have a Windows machine at the moment. Watched the gameplay video, though, and I really like it! Lesson learned for me: have a Linux box setup for next LD so I can play cool games like this!

Exposed by 01101101 2012-04-30T05:04:00

Guys, this was brilliant! Took me 82 tries and I killed 16 creatures, but it was good enough to keep at it until I won! Excellent graphics and sound! Just. Amazing! Thanks!

Virus Wars by Ingon 2012-04-27T06:20:00

Wait. The name of the file I'm downloading is 'virus.jar'? :D I, too, had trouble moving. I really like the concept, though. Would make for a great fast-paced shooter! Thanks!

Dreamworld by JoeCool17 2012-04-28T18:03:00

For those who can't run it, try simply running the main.py from the root dir. Seems to be working that way for me...

Dreamworld by JoeCool17 2012-04-28T18:10:00

Well, intrigued enough to install Python in order to play it! Interesting concept, and I really like the idea of going into dreams to "fix" the world. I'd say develop it further! Of note, if you don't hit "W" from where you initially spawn, it appears that you just fall into nothingness in the next level. Thanks!

Genesis by TyrusPeace 2012-04-25T05:21:00

Sheesh...great graphics! Pretty fun, if I do say so myself! Thanks!

Lodestar by runsintowalls 2012-04-24T05:05:00

Well that was not what I was expecting! Pretty fun! *goes and plays it again* Thanks!

Quaternion Nightmare by Dry Tree 2012-04-24T09:14:00

Interesting! Combat would have been fun for sure. Great first foray into Unity! Thanks for making this game!

Extraordinarily Awesome Petroleum Male Child! by Kassoon 2012-04-26T06:39:00

Interesting concept for sure! Is the life counter supposed to go negative? :D

Untitled, So Far by angrygeometry 2012-04-28T18:26:00

I...think I'm inside of my tv?? :D I feel like I would have gotten more out of it if I was familiar with Yume Nikki. Really weird game! Sorta like it though, and it was engaging enough to keep playing it. Thanks!

Overpopulous by Make A Game 2012-04-30T02:45:00

Yeah! Super fun! Score: 168,150 Time: 4:17. Really enjoyed this one! Definitely one of my favorite Jam entries so far. Only thing I had a hard time with was collecting all the floating Mengs, yet it was so fun to try and rescue them. Anyway, fabulous job! Definitely bookmarking to come back to later on. Thanks!

Globe by gavin5564 2012-04-25T04:16:00

Yeah! Good fun! Any reason why you are a neon green pixel? Thanks for sharing; really enjoyed playing, and the end was totally worth it!

Predominantly Tiny World by Graham Weldon 2012-04-30T06:06:00

Interesting concept! I don't really have anything to add to the thoughts and critiques already received. I think reworking how/when you can shoot the saucers would be good, and some indication of what is killing you before you actually die (I heard the "pewpewpewpew", but as much as I tried looking around, I couldn't find anything in that short of time). Great little start, though! Thanks for sharing!

Mirror Rays by keenblaze 2012-04-27T06:35:00

I pressed "D"... I like this concept! Definitely some good puzzles. Thanks for sharing!

A Flying Shame by spiral 2012-04-29T04:24:00

Pretty fun, pretty fun! Sound/music was fun, though having a big, satisfying *ZAP* when hitting the lamps would have been awesome. Liked the particle effects behind the fly...Thanks!

1 Seed by Gemberkoekje 2012-04-26T07:44:00

ack; my spaceship got stuck in a planet! :( But I really like what's going on here; great job, and a lot of fun to play! Thanks!

All That Are Lost Will Be Found by R3ason 2012-04-24T04:30:00

@karnakgames sadly, I was unable to get sound into it in the 48hrs. For the post- 48hr version (which does have sound in it), go here: http://onepingsoftware.com/ld23/post/

All That Are Lost Will Be Found by R3ason 2012-04-25T05:31:00

@hamburger, thanks for the feedback! I think the game would benefit from multiple levels in which darkness is only one aspect/challenge rather than the mood for the entire game...

All That Are Lost Will Be Found by R3ason 2012-04-26T07:27:00

@Digitalis, thanks for the feedback! Yeah, I had to scale way back on how the light worked...the more little cubes you collect, the brighter your light gets, but it's probably not too obvious right there at the beginning...

All That Are Lost Will Be Found by R3ason 2012-04-28T08:43:00

@Jedi, thanks for the feedback! I really struggle with level design, so I didn't get to add as much content as I would have liked to for the compo. Good point about the post-compo build being darker. It's not supposed to be; I'll fix it tomorrow.

@Permanent7, Yes, that darn inertia! I really need to sit down and figure out how to deal with this...

@all thanks for your feedback so far; it's really encouraging to hear your thoughts! I look forward to applying it towards making the game better in the future!

All That Are Lost Will Be Found by R3ason 2012-04-30T23:47:00

@spiral, thanks for the feedback! I've been mulling over the direction to go with a post compo version. Any thoughts (you or anyone) as to a better character?

@vigrid thanks! The post compo build has a bit of sound in it for a more fear-inducing effect (actually scared myself...twice while playing the sound version. T'was a little embarrassing!).

@Raptor85, thanks for the heads up! I've not done anything with Unity on Linux before. I'd be interested in seeing how it behaves/doesn't behave, though! What flavor of Linux are you running?

All That Are Lost Will Be Found by R3ason 2012-05-01T05:20:00

@Zythiku, thanks for the feedback! I will definitely be changing the lighting system for the next release! I simply ran out of time to adjust it further, and having it last longer would have made the game too easy...

All That Are Lost Will Be Found by R3ason 2012-05-01T18:40:00

@Raptor85, yeah I figured that would be the case; did some research and it looks like you're right about the behaviour being consistent with Unity games. Hopefully the Unity to Flash capability with help with this in the future...

All That Are Lost Will Be Found by R3ason 2012-05-03T01:48:00

@ratboy2713, you mean people still use Sticky Keys? :-P Point well taken. Will remap the keys. Excellent feedback. This is the kind of stuff I like hearing!

@KevinWorkman, thanks for asking! It says in the entry itself on this page (collecting the little cubes), but it doesn't have these instructions in-game. Definitely something that needs to be added to future iterations of the game. Thanks for the valuable feedback!

Thanks again to everyone for your kind and constructive comments! Keep them coming!

All That Are Lost Will Be Found by R3ason 2012-05-03T03:50:00

@mildmojo, thanks for the feedback; I really appreciate it! The bad lighting? That's what you get from developing on a monitor where the brightness was unknowingly set way to high... First order of business for the next version will be to revamp the entire lighting system...

All That Are Lost Will Be Found by R3ason 2012-05-03T04:12:00

Okay everyone, I've uploaded an updated post-compo build! It includes brighter/better range on the light burst, and doubles it's life, and remapped it to the 'Z' key. This should prolong the life of your fingers and keyboard. Also--and to counteract the lighting enhancements--increased the range at which the bad guys will start chasing you. Hopefully these tweaks will make for a better experience as I work towards a (much) improved release in the coming weeks! As always, rate based on the compo version, and then feel free to leave feedback on the compo AND post-compo versions. Thanks all! You've been a wonderful encouragement to me.

All That Are Lost Will Be Found by R3ason 2012-05-08T03:08:00

@Hume, thanks for the good comments! Funny thing is that the wall walking is/was not supposed to be in there...however, everyone seems to like that feature so far sooo... :) Lighting will definitely be reworked in the next version!

Slime Buster Micro by brenthamel 2012-04-27T01:52:00

Seems like the projectiles were slow, but A+ on graphics and sound! Thanks for making this!

Project AtReL by ningu 2012-04-27T02:36:00

Bookmarking and will come back later when the new build is up :D

Apocalypse Inc. by mooosh 2012-05-01T23:21:00

Ah, nice job! Played the compo game and the post-compo one. Really great! If the buildings are destroyed after a while, what would you think about putting a little health bar over them, so that you can see what their health is? Only other thought is to maybe reduce the volume of the rockets/shooting just a tad? You get a ton of 'em going and it gets a little deafening. However, you at least have sound in the game which is great! And kudos to having an icon for the EXE! Oh, and message at death: priceless! Thanks for making this!

TinyBoxes by geekygenius 2012-04-24T05:59:00

Best rating I've given so far; this was tons of fun! Very devious and clever puzzles! It also has a nice polished feel to it; can definitely tell you put some time into this. Thanks for sharing your game!

Our Tiny World by hamburger 2012-04-30T03:16:00

Huh, I think I like the concept behind the game and the basic mechanics! Perhaps a bit more of an explanation would be helpful, though. Thanks for sharing your game!

Bottled Worlds by Patacorow 2012-04-29T22:06:00

**If anyone has problems running this on Win 7 x64 put it in a NON read-only folder, and run as admin!**

Amazing! Art, music, everything feels really polished! I went through the walls a couple of times (and died), but that's a minor issue that should be easy to clear up. The only suggestion I would have would be to make the enemies require fewer hits before killing them. Other than that, I really enjoyed this one (bookmarked it for later!) Thanks!

Single Cycles by mildmojo 2012-05-02T04:54:00

Ha! Amazing concept! Executed brilliantly! :D It is a tad bit hard to keep track of everyone (simply because the world is, well, "tiny")! But a minor issue that I feel wouldn't have been there had you not been restrained by the theme. Great game all around. Bookmarking to show all my friends! Thanks for making this!

TinyBot by murilo 2012-04-27T01:41:00

Pretty fun! Would be good to shoot in the air...liked the large people walking in the background! Thanks!

Super Fun Crushy Time! by Darkfrost 2012-04-24T03:23:00

Well that was fun! I never knew how badly I wanted to eat a watermelon until tonight... :D Good job!

caveman defending his cave from aliens while monoliths drop down from the sky by bms 2012-05-02T05:04:00

Why is this so fun?! :D Anyhoo, I think the only thing I'd like to see different are the alien graphics...they don't quite seem to "fit" the rest of the art style. Could just be me though... Great entry! Thanks for sharing!

Submarine: This Ain't Your Momma's Bathtub, Tovarisch by kibertoad 2012-04-27T05:14:00

Interesting! I think there is too much text up front (maybe present it cut-scene style to make it more engaging), but I think the mechanics are pretty interesting. Thanks!

Tinyverse by Permanent7 2012-04-28T08:24:00

yowza! Fast paced! Really clever mechanics; I like it! Perhaps an ability to zoom in/out? Thanks for sharing! Congrats on your second LD entry!

! by lifenoodles 2012-04-30T06:00:00

Definitely looks like it's off to an interesting start! I like the way it feels already, so it'd be neat to see it turn into something more. Thanks!

Zephyr by cadin 2012-04-25T05:18:00

Wow, this is great! Simple, challenging, visually appealing! Thanks!

Zombie Fish by Ethanh59 2012-04-25T04:51:00

Interesting concept! Definitely agree, fisheye is pretty hard! ...but a nice touch!

The Tower of the Four Winds by andyrofl 2012-04-26T07:16:00

I WIN! :D Would love to see some sort of visual cue that my attacks were damaging the enemies. Great start! Thanks!

The Cube Realms by Zoomyzoom 2012-04-26T07:21:00

Pretty fun! Liked the addition of the map screen; makes it feel like a better-rounded game. Thanks!

Good Cell, Bad Cell by KhaoTom 2012-04-26T07:38:00

Apparently I can't tell my good sells from the bad ones D: I do, however, like the graphics style, and the shooting mechanics. Thanks for sharing!

Tiny Territories by badlydrawnrod 2012-04-27T05:37:00

Interesting...it seems a bit plain right now with out a score counter / goal, but looks-wise, I really like it! A little Tron-esque. If you capitalized on this (the look/feel) and added more features, I'd definitely give it another go!

Mage Duel by Kitch 2012-04-25T04:23:00

That was pretty cool! Really enjoyed the fact that you were actually fighting against yourself, which added a bit of frantic spellcasting, as you knew how the enemy was going to play. Thanks for sharing!

Nobody by Yapikom 2012-05-03T08:10:00

MY EYES!!! =_= ...haha! How...interesting?? Very odd for sure. Feel like this could be the start of an interesting game, though... Thanks!

Shoebox World by sanojian 2012-04-26T08:01:00

Tiny Apocalypse by CireNeikual 2012-04-27T03:07:00

Graphics and sound are great! Would love to see this expanded upon, and have more puzzles!

Tiny Cubic Maze World by tomhunt 2012-04-27T04:48:00

YOU ARE WIN!! :D But no, this is great! Very short and simple, but if you expand upon this and add increasingly harder and harder levels, this would be awesome! Great job! Thanks!

Lost by elektron 2012-04-27T05:27:00

Great! Made it all the way home! Thanks for an awesome game!

The Underground Court by caranha 2012-04-29T18:00:00

Quite interesting! I like the fast-paced nature of it. As others have said, I think the cats are pretty fast, and the movement is a tad over-responsive. I did like, though, that you move slower and slower the more food you are carrying (I assume this is a feature and not a bug? :D ) Good stuff, thanks!

Dwindling Worlds by NiallM 2012-04-30T05:54:00

Wow, very different! I...think I get it? :D Thanks for making this!

Pretty fun! Really good, solid platformer! Thanks!

Prince of Leaves by evilseanbot 2012-04-26T07:13:00

Pretty good! Yes, audio was definitely the show stealer :D Thanks!

Pixels World by Zerod 2012-04-28T18:40:00

That was fun! THANK YOU for implementing checkpoints! This is actually what encouraged me to play through the entire game: I didn't have to go back and restart the entire thing when I died (and die I did!). Loved the death animation, the enemies, and the background. And the music. Superb! Thanks for sharing!

Tiny world survival by Dracir 2012-04-25T04:05:00

Oomple by lurkingshadow 2012-04-26T06:46:00

Interesting concept! I'd definitely recommend putting a counter on the diary page so you can see how much money you have (and also denote which diary entries have been purchased?). Other than that, great effort on a first game! Look forward to what you make in the future; thanks!

Combat Cubes by bigbadwofl 2012-04-30T01:43:00

Fun little game! Definitely feels like a lot of thought went into it. I, too, would agree that AI for your team members might need a bit of work, as I wasn't sure if they were supposed to be running off on their own or not! Music was amazing! Thanks!

Tiny Parallel Worlds by MadcoreTom 2012-04-27T05:58:00

I got my spoon back! :D Very fun! Good, effective use of minimalism. Thanks for making this!

The Last Colony by Wyzfen 2012-04-24T09:18:00

Great! Love the unique twist on a tower defense game! As a previous poster mentioned, it is a bit easy once you have all the towers, but hey, considering it was done in 12 hours, I'm certainly impressed! Great job!

GRIDiots by Taugeshtu 2012-04-30T05:18:00

Hey, I like what you're doing with this! Essentially Tron + Minecraft, which is awesome in my book! Had a few minor issues with audio when I was converting things. If you put a bunch of stuff in the converter at once, it just makes a dull noise/rumbling, like it's playing the same sound effect hundreds of times...other than that, the music and graphics were outstanding! I'd say go to the next step with this, branch out even more from Minecraft, and make an awesome game! Will bookmark in order to check back later for updates. Thanks!

Battle For 35 Leukothea by Rectifier 2012-04-30T04:45:00

Ah, great, fun little tower defense game! Was a bit skeptical at first, but I turned out to be wrong: ascii really works here! Controls felt really great, and I was never at a loss as to how everything in the game worked. Great job! Thanks!

The Lost Isles by Nilmrots 2012-04-27T02:41:00

Fun! I found the background a bit hard on the eyes for the first couple of levels. Other than that (and needing some sound), I like the small size of everything. Gave it a good feel. Thanks for sharing!

Rat Conquest by Canard Sauvage 2012-04-27T06:17:00

well that was kinda trippy :D Loved the death screen! Btw, were those humans I was eating? Lol. Congrats on finishing LD and making a game!

JENS - a cute beetle in a tiny world... by rubelli 2012-04-28T19:10:00

Great little start! I'd focus on working on the collision detection, as azurenimbus mentioned so that you can walk behind things. Other than that, I liked the text, with the different coloured words, the ability to check the stockpile, and the music. Thanks!

Getup by roban100 2012-04-28T22:07:00

Wasn't quite sure what the Q and W were for...but it was an interesting game! I think it'd be a bit more helpful if the main character starts a little higher on the screen, otherwise as soon as you press 'Start' you immediately start disappearing. Thanks for sharing your game with us!
