Good gravy! Heard the first ghost and jumped outta my skin, accidentally hit a bunch of keys (which flipped desktop spaces on my Macbook Pro), and promptly died (in game). Job well done!

Always wanted to mine jam from a piece of toast. ;-) Good little start; music is fun! Thanks for sharing.
Hmm, not exactly sure what to do here, but no doubt you have something in mind! As stated, a post-mortem would be great! Would love to hear the thought process behind the game. Thanks for putting the effort in, and congrats on finishing LD!
Crazy! Pretty fun! Liked the core game mechanics here. Thanks!
Fun! Great little concept; played it a few times! Thanks!
Just one...more...block... :D Great idea; really like the take on the theme! Thanks!
Jolly good! Great little roguelike; thanks!
Haha, this is great; love it! Bookmarking for later! Thanks!
Oh my various stars that is one *TINY* lizard! D: To be quit honest, I have no idea what's going on in this game! However, it looks quite clever and devious! Will no doubt come back to it later on if I have time. NOTE: the lizard was really hard to see! Especially if you're slightly colour deficient! Thanks for sharing your game!
Great! Loved the intro, and the environment graphics! Good fun all around (and this coming from an Apple fan!)
Great! Really enjoyed this entry! Would love it if you could somehow build defenses (walls, turrets?). Thanks!
Good job overall; this is a good start to--what I feel could be--a longer, more in-depth game. Also, is there a score counter that I missed? Thanks!
oi! Controls are pretty sensitive (had to reload after I started rocketing all over the place!). I like the idea though. Definitely puts a new twist on just a regular 'ole racing game. Thanks!
Deploying MBP in 3..2..1..Play commences NOW. Heh. Well, it's definitely unpolished (and very cruel in terms of exiting when getting hit). That said, it was pretty entertaining, especially knocking over the enemies. Color scheme is great. Thanks!
Pretty fun! I liked the cloud graphics, and the uncertainty as to where the foot was going to step next. The levels did drag on a little long, though... And perhaps having a variety of "enemies" (rather than just one foot) would help as well! Good music!
wow...this is deep! I definitely like the slightly awkward controls, and the precision that goes into poking holes and such. Love it! Thanks for sharing! Bookmarking for later inspiration...
Fun little diversion! Took me a minute to figure out that each guy was worth 10 pts. Always fun to get rid of guys in orange jumpsuits! Thanks!
Good! Liked the concept of not being able to go backwards. Thanks for creating this!
Interesting! Was a bit on the hard side for me, but I liked the feel of it. Very other-worldy. Thanks for sharing! Will now go and try the post 48hr version :D
Pretty clever for a first game! Congrats and thanks for sharing!
Pretty cool! Took a long time to figure out the first platform. And now I feel stupid for taking that long :D Thanks for the game!
Cool concept! Music would be nice. Also, it seems that the gravitational pull from earth could be a bit stronger? Otherwise the ball just flies around for a long while as you just sit and wait. Other than that, I really like the new take on Pong! Thanks!
Great start! Would be cool to see this developed further! Liked the audio. Thanks!
Fabulous! And very creative! I had wanted to somehow integrate twitter into my game, but you did it so wonderfully! Thanks for sharing! Bookmarking for later inspiration...
Haha! This is great! Finally, a one-button entry! Sometimes less is more! A great game to switch up all the other entries. Thanks!
Yes. Just. Yes. Awesome.
Fun! Feels like a solid shooter! Thanks!
I played. I died. I lol'd when I died :D Pretty fun; unique concept! Thanks!
Good entry! It took me a while to actually figure out what I was controlling with the arrow keys, but I finally got it! Thanks for sharing!
Great game! Really liked the graphics and the way the characters stand out from the bystanders. Unfortunately, I ended up eliminating several innocent bystanders :-/ Question: are the saboteurs randomly decided each round? If so, this would greatly enhance the replay value! Overall, fun game; thanks!
Oh dear, I got overrun by white ants! Pretty fun game, though! I like the building concept; perhaps allow the player to keep building tunnels, though, rather than clicking one tunnel piece and then having to re-select the tunnel tool? (played in Firefox; don't know if Chrome works better). Really liked this; thanks!
Thanks Kvisle for the port. Game itself was interesting. I like how you could detach from the planet. Controls seemed a bit sluggish to me. Also, perhaps instead of dying, just reduce health? And/or give a cooldown time? I kept getting hit, respawning, and instantly dying again. Anyway, good effort, and I'd love to see the idea expanded on. Thanks!
Ah, I love this management game! I'd say take it to the next level! Thanks!
Way fun! Low expectations, but I was so wrong! Took a minute to figure out that you type [command] Help, but after that it was pretty straight forward. Love it! Thanks!
Wow. This was one that I was all but expecting to be a disappointment. Boy was I wrong; this is right up my ally! Excellent job. Graphics are great; killed a the rabbits, and I felt heartless, seeing all of their little bones lying there! ...I agree with the previous comment; more bottles like the screenshot would be great. Thanks for making this!
NICE! Love the levels in the form of text files; makes it wonderful for extending the gameplay and certainly level creation on the developer's end. Thanks!
Heh, I kept falling into space (thought those were walls, not holes in the planet!...I can be a bit slow sometimes, but I finally got it!) Anyway, not much to add to the other comments. Faster walking would be good. A HUD, or some sort of indicator for the parts you've collected would be nice. Would like to see this developed further! Thanks for the fun little game!
Oh my various stars, that scared the crap out of me! :D Thanks!
Graphically, this is simply amazing (and very complete feeling)! ...it's also exactly what I'd imagine the world would look like if it were in Minecraft :P Restart animation was fabulous and a nice touch. I think it'd be interesting to have additional planets, and perhaps longer time and/or the ability for the world to regenerate maybe? All in all, a quick entertaining little game!
Interesting! Nice take on a biology subject; reminds me a bit of tron if it took place inside the human body. Thanks for the fun li'l game!
Interesting... Was a bit on the hard side, but not bad for a first entry! Thanks!
Nice work on an official first game! Having the same objects hurt and then heal you is a nice twist! Liked the graphics. Especially the white cell eating the others! I'm just going to take a stab at saying the directional controls are in a single IF / ELSE IF statement? My only suggestion would be to separate these out and/or make it so that I don't have to let up off of the direction I'm going in order to move in a new direction. Other than this, hmm...not much else comes to mind. Perhaps a few separate screens with the intro text (as opposed to cramming it all on one page)? I think this (on page of instructions) is perfectly fine when you have a limited amount of time, but I think overall gamers are going to better enjoy having it broken up into separate screens and/or incorporated somehow into the game as a tutorial. Overall, very enjoyable game; thanks!
Great! Challenging enough, but not too hard. Love the snachers' laugh :D Thanks for sharing your game, and a job well done on your first LD!
Fascinating! I *really* like that your axes come back down and can actually kill you. That being said, perhaps in a future version, you'd just lose health, rather than straight up dying each time you're hit? Great fun; thanks!
Interesting; took me a bit to figure out! I found a couple of the colours hard to distinguish, as I'm slightly colour deficient. Overall, though, not a bad game; found myself really getting into it. Thanks!
Interesting concept here! I kind of like it! Thanks for sharing!
Art! Amazing! Pretty trippy game, with the rotated levels. Will bookmark this and come back to it for inspiration later on. If you get a chance, add some atmospheric sound/music to it... Thanks for making this!
Good game. Dumb sheep. :D But no, in all seriousness, the game was a blast (of course, in all seriousness, sheep really are kinda stupid creatures!). This would have worked well for the indirect control theme too... Thanks!
Clever take on a shooter! Like it! Good music. Thanks for sharing your game!
Yeah! Micro Machines! :D If you could put some scoring and stuff in, it'd be really great!
Yeah! Micro Machines! :D If you could put some scoring and stuff in, it'd be really great! Thanks!
I wanted to find floaty a better brian! :D Seriously, though, I like where the story was going with this! Great job; develop it further! Thanks for sharing your game!
(P.S. seemed to work fine on Firefox, as far as I could tell)
Not bad at all! Got pretty frantic there towards the end! I think it would've been easier to have the shooting independent of the movement, but the way it is does certainly lend a bit more of a challenge to it. Thanks!
Heh. Odd. And rather hilarious! Thanks for the chuckle!
How interesting! I'd say polish the graphics, add a bit of variety to it, and it'd make a great mobile game! Was a bit disappointed that the sound didn't loop, but no biggie. Thanks for sharing your game!
Great! Good game; really liked the fading colours! I think it'd be great if you didn't die the first time you hit a bad cell-thingie, and also if you couldn't float off the screen. Also, I got a tad confused as to which way I was pointing, but then again, I suppose not all micro organisms have heads/tails, do they? :D Thanks!
Pretty good! Liked the way you have planets with different gravitational pulls. Tutorial text was well-placed too.
Yeah, finish this! Please! Great graphics, great music. Like others have said, very immersive. Can't believe this is your first entry! Thanks!
Definitely could use some polishing up, but I look forward to seeing what this turns into! Great little beginning; everything fits together. Thanks!
Clever! Some similar sounds, but all around pretty ingenious and fun; thanks!
Sheesh, talk about a depressing ending! BUT...the game itself: fabulous! Played the Jam version, and encountered a few bugs, but nothing that kept me from finishing. Great artwork. Great sound (reminded me of Binding of Isaac). Simply amazing all around. Thanks!
Fun break from all the desktop games! Would love to hear some music included. Great job; thanks!
Fun! Great mix of humor and gameplay! Thanks!
Heh...That was...different! I'm honestly not exactly sure how to rate this one! I think it'd be fascinating to see this developed into a longer game. Thanks for sharing!
Great idea! Was a bit hard at first to get controls down, but it cleared up as time went on. Music was fantastic! Thanks!
Ooh, I like the mechanics, and the puzzles! I think if you developed the story a bit more, it'd be awesome! The last level reminded me of Portal, when you go behind the scenes / break out of the test chambers...is that what you were going for? Thanks for making this!
Anyone order a question mark? :D Interesting style, but it actually works for this! Good music, odd colors, size changing. Good play! Thanks!
ack! I can't get it to run on x64 Windows either...I really want to play this too! ...will bookmark and check back to see if there's a working x64 version!
Aw yeah! Awesome! Thanks!
Fun! Beautiful game with simple mechanics! Really enjoyed this one (wish it had a nice ambient sound track to go with it!) Thanks!
This could get pretty interesting! Thanks for sharing!
This is fun! Would love to see more added to it; thanks!
I definitely see some good mechanics at play here. Could use some fleshing out, but I think it's off to a good start! Once I figured out how to deposit the ants at the food, it went pretty smoothly. Thanks!
Pretty good! Definitely see the Legends of Yore inspiration (which isn't a bad thing; I think it's good to be inspired by things! I tried picking up the powerups, but it seemed like once you had one equipped in that slot, you couldn't swap it out with another? Or maybe it did, and I just didn't notice it. Also, the enemies got pretty hard pretty fast! Perhaps it could respawn some lower level enemies if you scroll off the screen? This way you can go back and keep increasing your level until you can take on the higher level enemies. Anyhoo, good game! Thanks for sharing!
Aaah! The fly kept flying away...and I was so hungry... :D He finally cooperated, though, and I ate him several times. What a fun little idea; thanks!
You have fulfilled my fantasy of being a megasnail. For that, I thank you. :D Good job. Felt pretty solid (though there were a ton of bees/birds/plains/flying things outside of the walls; is this normal?). Would be cool if you "run over" the infantry guys. Thanks for sharing your game!
Clever! *Really* like the mechanic of only having to equip a spell, and it auto-casting when you're near an enemy. Thanks for sharing!
For being very incomplete, this surprisingly felt really good! I planted a lot of seeds, and then mistakenly stepped into the lake :-/ I really like the graphics and color palette; they work really well! Controls felt a bit too fluid; turning was really fast, and a bit hard to control. "K" was fun, and I felt rather terrible for pressing it! Anyway, great start, really want to see what this turns into! Thanks!
Hmm, don't really have much to add to the comments already listed; it was certainly different! Graphics are great. Really. Took me a bit to figure out what items were interactive, but once done it really piqued my interest. I'd for one like to see this developed further...
Fun! Loved the little guys climbing on you! Would have been cool if you could have won...Thanks!
I always thought games would be better with stew... Nice work; congrats on finishing! Thanks!
Whaaat?! Mind=blown. What an ending! Thanks, I really enjoyed this!
Well that was just plain fun! The best quality of the game, if you will, is that it enticed me to keep playing until I won. Great job with the variety between the puzzles. Oh, and that ant walking sound...so annoying yet so perfect :D
Overall, the game brought me back to the days of Kings Quest for some reason. Anyway, great job; thanks for making this!
Fun! Couldn't figure out how to drop bad guys off at the sheriff's...oh well, shooting them was great fun :D Thanks!
Wow, incredible! Can definitely see the effort that went into this; feels very polished. Also great that the whole game didn't reset when you died (a couple levels took me several tries!). Thanks!
Solid. Great job! I definitely think you have a solid base from which you could expand this (perhaps levels where you visit other cellular structures?) Graphics are superb!
Interesting! I'm not exactly sure what the goal is? Is it just to ensure that none of the characters run into each other? Graphics look great! I'd definitely look forward to seeing how this progresses if you put more time into it! Thanks for sharing your game!
Heh, pretty fun! Thank you for tying the shooting to a KeyPress event, rather than KeyDown. This really made the direction switching easy as you only have to worry about tapping one key... Also agree that explaining to hit the "Z" on the menu select would be a bit of a help. Thanks for sharing your game!
Wow, that was amazing! Thanks!
well this is just dandy. Thanks to your creepy little game I am for sure going to have nightmares tonight... :D But really, well done! I dunno, but I kinda liked the I'm-almost-out-of-control-but-not-quite feel of the game. Definitely conveyed the feeling of being extremely weak. Mood/feel for this game is just perfect. Would love to see this developed even further (and would therefore be quite scared to play it!!) Thanks for making this.
Upload please!!
Good start! Music was really nice; reminded me of an old school NES game :D Thanks!
Games where you step on or throw other peeps is always satisfying! Pretty good implementation. I'd say the difficulty rises a bit fast...perhaps a special gnome that maybe slows the giants down (or freezes) them for a short while would help? You could have it where those gnomes are rare and take more fame, so then the player has to decide if they want to summon a gnome now, or wait until they can summon a freeze/slow gnome...just a thought! Thanks for the fun little game!
Good! It really got fun when the graphics changed and I suddenly had a planet. Sometimes it's not a bad thing to be a planet-creator! Would like to see this fleshed out further. Thanks!
Ahh, pretty good after I read the instructions :D Was a little hard with the dual keysets, but that could just be me. Very colorful, and the music was great. Thanks for sharing!
Ah, cubes! They hold a special place in my heart :) Loved the "small" feel of the game, which added complexity to it. There were a few times where the controls didn't quite seem to respond, but I'll just chalk that up to my own fault. Would love to hear a little 8-bit tune to accompany the game, along with maybe some story text at the top/bottom of the screen to begin each level? Just some thoughts! Thanks for making and sharing this!
Interesting! Sound would make this better! Overall I liked it!
Ahh, pretty fun! Didn't last long (I'm terrible at the Game of Life!). Great graphics, though. Thanks for sharing!
Congrats on your first Ludum Dare! I like the idea behind this game quite a bit! I think it'd be a bit better if the cursor moved a bit more/faster, as it took a long time at the beginning to get all the way from blue to red. Overall, though, I'd be excited to see where you can take this!
err...am I a sheep?? :D This was pretty good! Felt pretty balanced. Hard, but not impossible. Nice touch to have you start over at the current level if you die, rather than the beginning of the game. Very fun! Thanks!
Graphics and sounds are great! Loved the way you really have to plan in order to get some of the fruits. Thanks!
Great! I got stuck in a wall when one of the black floating things hit me, but overall, I'm highly impressed with this entry! Thanks for sharing!
Oh.wow. Was a bit skeptical of all the ratings, but decided to give it a go anyway. So glad I did! This is just a plain, all around, fun game! Really like the art and sound. Thanks for creating this!
Well that was different...art style and sound were top notch :D Thanks!
Well, obviously this could use some more work, but I think I like what I'm seeing here...On the surface, it just appears to be another take on the game of Life. It'd be cool if the players realize what's going on right away, though, as they race to get from square to square accumulating points and only partway through the game you realize, "Oh... all these points I've been collecting, or goals I've been working towards in the game, really are not good, and they're having a negative impact on life"...catch my drift? Create something life-changing out of this! :D Thanks for providing a few minutes of thoughtful introspection in the midst of rating games!
Pretty fun stuff here! Biting was a bit difficult. Fix this, 'cause there's nothing so satisfying as to go around biting things in a game :D
Fun. Controls probably would have been easier with keys (instead of mouse), but it works. Hard to see through all the 'splosions! Thanks for making this!
My eyes!! D: Nah, this is a wonderful, amazing departure from the same 'ole same 'ole games submitted! I am literally seeing spots right now! Hermann done me in :P Great graphics, great sound to go along with it! Only minor issue (which I think someone else mentioned) is that bullets tend to "stick" on the screen. Is this intended? Thanks for making this!
Couldn't play it and rate it as I sadly only have a Windows machine at the moment. Watched the gameplay video, though, and I really like it! Lesson learned for me: have a Linux box setup for next LD so I can play cool games like this!
Wait. The name of the file I'm downloading is 'virus.jar'? :D I, too, had trouble moving. I really like the concept, though. Would make for a great fast-paced shooter! Thanks!
For those who can't run it, try simply running the main.py from the root dir. Seems to be working that way for me...
Well, intrigued enough to install Python in order to play it! Interesting concept, and I really like the idea of going into dreams to "fix" the world. I'd say develop it further! Of note, if you don't hit "W" from where you initially spawn, it appears that you just fall into nothingness in the next level. Thanks!
Sheesh...great graphics! Pretty fun, if I do say so myself! Thanks!
Well that was not what I was expecting! Pretty fun! *goes and plays it again* Thanks!
Interesting! Combat would have been fun for sure. Great first foray into Unity! Thanks for making this game!
Interesting concept for sure! Is the life counter supposed to go negative? :D
I...think I'm inside of my tv?? :D I feel like I would have gotten more out of it if I was familiar with Yume Nikki. Really weird game! Sorta like it though, and it was engaging enough to keep playing it. Thanks!
Yeah! Super fun! Score: 168,150 Time: 4:17. Really enjoyed this one! Definitely one of my favorite Jam entries so far. Only thing I had a hard time with was collecting all the floating Mengs, yet it was so fun to try and rescue them. Anyway, fabulous job! Definitely bookmarking to come back to later on. Thanks!
Interesting concept! I don't really have anything to add to the thoughts and critiques already received. I think reworking how/when you can shoot the saucers would be good, and some indication of what is killing you before you actually die (I heard the "pewpewpewpew", but as much as I tried looking around, I couldn't find anything in that short of time). Great little start, though! Thanks for sharing!
I pressed "D"... I like this concept! Definitely some good puzzles. Thanks for sharing!
Pretty fun, pretty fun! Sound/music was fun, though having a big, satisfying *ZAP* when hitting the lamps would have been awesome. Liked the particle effects behind the fly...Thanks!
ack; my spaceship got stuck in a planet! :( But I really like what's going on here; great job, and a lot of fun to play! Thanks!
@karnakgames sadly, I was unable to get sound into it in the 48hrs. For the post- 48hr version (which does have sound in it), go here: http://onepingsoftware.com/ld23/post/
@hamburger, thanks for the feedback! I think the game would benefit from multiple levels in which darkness is only one aspect/challenge rather than the mood for the entire game...
@Digitalis, thanks for the feedback! Yeah, I had to scale way back on how the light worked...the more little cubes you collect, the brighter your light gets, but it's probably not too obvious right there at the beginning...
@Jedi, thanks for the feedback! I really struggle with level design, so I didn't get to add as much content as I would have liked to for the compo. Good point about the post-compo build being darker. It's not supposed to be; I'll fix it tomorrow.
@Permanent7, Yes, that darn inertia! I really need to sit down and figure out how to deal with this...
@all thanks for your feedback so far; it's really encouraging to hear your thoughts! I look forward to applying it towards making the game better in the future!
@spiral, thanks for the feedback! I've been mulling over the direction to go with a post compo version. Any thoughts (you or anyone) as to a better character?
@vigrid thanks! The post compo build has a bit of sound in it for a more fear-inducing effect (actually scared myself...twice while playing the sound version. T'was a little embarrassing!).
@Raptor85, thanks for the heads up! I've not done anything with Unity on Linux before. I'd be interested in seeing how it behaves/doesn't behave, though! What flavor of Linux are you running?
@Zythiku, thanks for the feedback! I will definitely be changing the lighting system for the next release! I simply ran out of time to adjust it further, and having it last longer would have made the game too easy...
@Raptor85, yeah I figured that would be the case; did some research and it looks like you're right about the behaviour being consistent with Unity games. Hopefully the Unity to Flash capability with help with this in the future...
@ratboy2713, you mean people still use Sticky Keys? :-P Point well taken. Will remap the keys. Excellent feedback. This is the kind of stuff I like hearing!
@KevinWorkman, thanks for asking! It says in the entry itself on this page (collecting the little cubes), but it doesn't have these instructions in-game. Definitely something that needs to be added to future iterations of the game. Thanks for the valuable feedback!
Thanks again to everyone for your kind and constructive comments! Keep them coming!
@mildmojo, thanks for the feedback; I really appreciate it! The bad lighting? That's what you get from developing on a monitor where the brightness was unknowingly set way to high... First order of business for the next version will be to revamp the entire lighting system...
Okay everyone, I've uploaded an updated post-compo build! It includes brighter/better range on the light burst, and doubles it's life, and remapped it to the 'Z' key. This should prolong the life of your fingers and keyboard. Also--and to counteract the lighting enhancements--increased the range at which the bad guys will start chasing you. Hopefully these tweaks will make for a better experience as I work towards a (much) improved release in the coming weeks! As always, rate based on the compo version, and then feel free to leave feedback on the compo AND post-compo versions. Thanks all! You've been a wonderful encouragement to me.
@Hume, thanks for the good comments! Funny thing is that the wall walking is/was not supposed to be in there...however, everyone seems to like that feature so far sooo... :) Lighting will definitely be reworked in the next version!
Seems like the projectiles were slow, but A+ on graphics and sound! Thanks for making this!
Bookmarking and will come back later when the new build is up :D
Ah, nice job! Played the compo game and the post-compo one. Really great! If the buildings are destroyed after a while, what would you think about putting a little health bar over them, so that you can see what their health is? Only other thought is to maybe reduce the volume of the rockets/shooting just a tad? You get a ton of 'em going and it gets a little deafening. However, you at least have sound in the game which is great! And kudos to having an icon for the EXE! Oh, and message at death: priceless! Thanks for making this!
Best rating I've given so far; this was tons of fun! Very devious and clever puzzles! It also has a nice polished feel to it; can definitely tell you put some time into this. Thanks for sharing your game!
Huh, I think I like the concept behind the game and the basic mechanics! Perhaps a bit more of an explanation would be helpful, though. Thanks for sharing your game!
**If anyone has problems running this on Win 7 x64 put it in a NON read-only folder, and run as admin!**
Amazing! Art, music, everything feels really polished! I went through the walls a couple of times (and died), but that's a minor issue that should be easy to clear up. The only suggestion I would have would be to make the enemies require fewer hits before killing them. Other than that, I really enjoyed this one (bookmarked it for later!) Thanks!
Ha! Amazing concept! Executed brilliantly! :D It is a tad bit hard to keep track of everyone (simply because the world is, well, "tiny")! But a minor issue that I feel wouldn't have been there had you not been restrained by the theme. Great game all around. Bookmarking to show all my friends! Thanks for making this!
Well that was fun! I never knew how badly I wanted to eat a watermelon until tonight... :D Good job!
Why is this so fun?! :D Anyhoo, I think the only thing I'd like to see different are the alien graphics...they don't quite seem to "fit" the rest of the art style. Could just be me though... Great entry! Thanks for sharing!
Interesting! I think there is too much text up front (maybe present it cut-scene style to make it more engaging), but I think the mechanics are pretty interesting. Thanks!
yowza! Fast paced! Really clever mechanics; I like it! Perhaps an ability to zoom in/out? Thanks for sharing! Congrats on your second LD entry!
Definitely looks like it's off to an interesting start! I like the way it feels already, so it'd be neat to see it turn into something more. Thanks!
Interesting concept! Definitely agree, fisheye is pretty hard! ...but a nice touch!
I WIN! :D Would love to see some sort of visual cue that my attacks were damaging the enemies. Great start! Thanks!
Pretty fun! Liked the addition of the map screen; makes it feel like a better-rounded game. Thanks!
Apparently I can't tell my good sells from the bad ones D: I do, however, like the graphics style, and the shooting mechanics. Thanks for sharing!
Interesting...it seems a bit plain right now with out a score counter / goal, but looks-wise, I really like it! A little Tron-esque. If you capitalized on this (the look/feel) and added more features, I'd definitely give it another go!
Oh yeah, I won! Pretty fun; took a bit to figure it out, but a cool little game; great graphics! Thanks!
Graphics and sound are great! Would love to see this expanded upon, and have more puzzles!
YOU ARE WIN!! :D But no, this is great! Very short and simple, but if you expand upon this and add increasingly harder and harder levels, this would be awesome! Great job! Thanks!
Quite interesting! I like the fast-paced nature of it. As others have said, I think the cats are pretty fast, and the movement is a tad over-responsive. I did like, though, that you move slower and slower the more food you are carrying (I assume this is a feature and not a bug? :D ) Good stuff, thanks!
Wow, very different! I...think I get it? :D Thanks for making this!
Pretty fun! Really good, solid platformer! Thanks!
Pretty good! Yes, audio was definitely the show stealer :D Thanks!
That was fun! THANK YOU for implementing checkpoints! This is actually what encouraged me to play through the entire game: I didn't have to go back and restart the entire thing when I died (and die I did!). Loved the death animation, the enemies, and the background. And the music. Superb! Thanks for sharing!
Ha! That was fun! :D Grenades are the best. Kudos on your first game! Keep up the work, and look forward to seeing what you create in the future!
Fun and hard! Thanks!
Ah, great fun! Great idea; thanks!
Interesting concept! I'd definitely recommend putting a counter on the diary page so you can see how much money you have (and also denote which diary entries have been purchased?). Other than that, great effort on a first game! Look forward to what you make in the future; thanks!
Fun little game! Definitely feels like a lot of thought went into it. I, too, would agree that AI for your team members might need a bit of work, as I wasn't sure if they were supposed to be running off on their own or not! Music was amazing! Thanks!
Interesting idea! A bit long, but I like the premise behind it! Thanks!
Ah, wish I had read to use the arrow keys a bit earlier (finally figured it out!). But yeah, pretty fun! Art style is awesome! Thanks!
Pretty fun! It was a little hard to walk along some of skinny sticks, but then again, perhaps spiders face this same challenge every day? :D Thanks!
What.the.heck. I couldn't have done this even if I had thought of the idea! Great! Thanks for sharing the results of your hard efforts!
Ah, this is so great! Awesome job guys! First thought that came to mind: Commander Keen :D Hope y'all make a sequel to it! Thanks for sharing!
I got my spoon back! :D Very fun! Good, effective use of minimalism. Thanks for making this!
Great! Love the unique twist on a tower defense game! As a previous poster mentioned, it is a bit easy once you have all the towers, but hey, considering it was done in 12 hours, I'm certainly impressed! Great job!
Hey, I like what you're doing with this! Essentially Tron + Minecraft, which is awesome in my book! Had a few minor issues with audio when I was converting things. If you put a bunch of stuff in the converter at once, it just makes a dull noise/rumbling, like it's playing the same sound effect hundreds of times...other than that, the music and graphics were outstanding! I'd say go to the next step with this, branch out even more from Minecraft, and make an awesome game! Will bookmark in order to check back later for updates. Thanks!
Ah, great, fun little tower defense game! Was a bit skeptical at first, but I turned out to be wrong: ascii really works here! Controls felt really great, and I was never at a loss as to how everything in the game worked. Great job! Thanks!
Fun! I found the background a bit hard on the eyes for the first couple of levels. Other than that (and needing some sound), I like the small size of everything. Gave it a good feel. Thanks for sharing!
well that was kinda trippy :D Loved the death screen! Btw, were those humans I was eating? Lol. Congrats on finishing LD and making a game!
Great start! I like the look and feel of it; keep it up! Thanks for sharing!
Great little start! I'd focus on working on the collision detection, as azurenimbus mentioned so that you can walk behind things. Other than that, I liked the text, with the different coloured words, the ability to check the stockpile, and the music. Thanks!
Wasn't quite sure what the Q and W were for...but it was an interesting game! I think it'd be a bit more helpful if the main character starts a little higher on the screen, otherwise as soon as you press 'Start' you immediately start disappearing. Thanks for sharing your game with us!
