LD23 — Tiny World

ToastBiome by tinyworlds 2012-04-23T13:11:00

@Spiridos: It's sort of tactical. Your goal is it to get the highest score. The score is ((wood+jam)/(days+enemys))*10, so you need to build smart to get the highscore.

I hadn't much time this weekend and I switched the framework and the concept. This isn't the best I can make.

ToastBiome by tinyworlds 2012-04-30T16:55:00

Sorry, the link to the source and the jar is currently dead, because filesplat does an update. Should be back soon.

I uploaded a improved post-compo version, which features:
- monsters activates now music blocks
- changed day and night cycles
- changed instructions
- enemys respawn

ToastBiome by tinyworlds 2012-05-01T10:45:00

source and jar is back online :)

ToastBiome by tinyworlds 2012-05-01T10:56:00

The post compo version has better instructions ;)

Good graphics and mostly fair checkpoints (except water island, it pissed me off).

Tiny Visitor by 01010111 2012-04-23T13:07:00

Remembers me really at CaveStory.
And you seem to robbed the melodie of one track from the song 'The Final Countdown'.
But I enjoyed playing it.

Space Rescue! by schnerble 2012-04-28T16:42:00

Didn't work for me (Linux).

Tiny (Growing) World by homelinen 2012-05-04T16:13:00

Relatively good idea, but this didn't turned into a enjoyable game.
And I agree with the visual feedback on moving.

Greed Wars by IgnatusZuk 2012-05-04T16:06:00

Criticism:
- Bad balance. I just build a barrack at the beginning and won without doing anything else.
- not very innovative, the basic principe can be found in a lot of games

Tiny world on mercury by Marthog 2012-05-03T15:48:00

When this does support OpenGL, why you do not create a Linux native. Whatever, it worked fine using Wine.

Criticism:
- The idea isn't very innovative (biospheres, destroy asteriods)
- the models and textures are ugly
- sound is ok, but could be better
- the biosphere should have some awesome interior and human, to have a motivation to save it
- there should be other gravity

Full Metal Planetoid by pom 2012-05-01T10:14:00

Pros:
- unique gameplay
- graphics are ok
- destroying of planets

Cons:
- lack of different planets

- ore sometimes floats in the air
- very easy
- no sound and laggy (Firefox?)

Tiny World: The Musical: The Game by pdyxs 2012-05-04T16:27:00

It isn't innovative and you cannot lose in this game.

I went to the generator and then didn't know how to continue.
The font is hard to read.

Game didn't start for me (Linux).

Perspectives by Simon 2012-05-03T15:55:00

I do like the sounds and the general concept.

criticism:
- collision detecting is buggy when jumping from great heights (was inside floor)
- textures for humans are ok, but you should use other colors
- the level texture(s) are very simplicistic
- it's way to short
- the idea itself is innovative, your game isn't

trapped. by noddy2006 2012-05-01T10:05:00

Pros:
- the sayings of the enemies
- level editing
- runs fast and smooth

Cons:
- No sound
- boring gameplay
- ugly textures
- not enough random phrases
- no random levels
- level editing is not ingame

LD24 — Evolution

Shape the World! by Cyboot 2012-09-12T18:49:00

I think it actually have to be 'You lose' and not 'You loose'.
The game is ugly, the sounds are sparely used.
The concept is original, except the eat smaller stuff and avoid bigger stuff thing.
For me it was actually no fun to play your game, I got bored after a few minutes.

Bomb the Bunnies by Sestren 2012-09-06T16:42:00

Good graphics and sound, gameplay was ok but not amazing.

Evolution RPG by SimonRhys 2012-09-06T16:35:00

Don't enjoyed playing it. It definitely needs music, better graphics and a better AI (make them attack or flee when they get attacked).

Go Go Ninja Dinosaur by SpacialNinja 2012-09-07T20:17:00

The controls worked well, but the graphics and the gameplay should be improved and squeak and kick sounds added.

LimiT by Sakuyan 2012-09-06T17:08:00

The graphics are good but not perfect. Sound is missing. The concept is very obvious (eating stuff to evolve), I don't like this.
Cool idea for the end.

evolution of monsters by mohammad 2012-09-07T21:58:00

Tried to run your entry on Linux using Wine. The screen was white, but the boxes appeared. It crashed after the end of the ringphone dialogue (I guess it was the end of it).
No rating.

Pimp my Rat ! by 90sml 2012-09-07T20:32:00

Get stuck at the darkness stuff.
I do like the graphics a lot. The music was good, too.
It was very laggy at the darkness part (~3 FPS).
Gameplay-wise: you do nothing really new, just alter the classical platformer.

UNBOUND by LPGhatguy 2012-09-10T17:14:00

Species by mappum 2012-09-09T17:26:00

The flashlight effect was kinda cool, but it was too short and not really scary. Graphics are ok, the setting is too common in my opinion.

Ninjural Selection by axcho 2012-08-28T11:36:00

This is not really a game, more a engine for a jump-and-run shooter.
I like the chiptune. The graphics are very basic, but the used colors are good.

Human 2.0 by dengzo 2012-09-06T17:00:00

The graphics. the physics and the sounds are good, but the gameplay sucks.
Guarding always the same stuff from few meteorites in slow motion.. I don't like that.

LD26 — Minimalism

Iceberg Explorer by tinyworlds 2013-04-30T13:29:00

@stqn: I'm sorry, I didn't think of 64bit users. I'll upload the engines source, so you can compile it.
Would you be so kind and share the 64bit binary then?

Iceberg Explorer by tinyworlds 2013-04-30T14:58:00

@dertom: It is a derivate of the Sauerbraten engine, called "Lamiae": https://github.com/Hirato/lamiae
It's still in Alpha state. I think the game crashed, because some shaders couldn't be loaded properly D:
Argh, I hate it when such things happen. I'll contact the developer of the engine for help and come back to you.

Iceberg Explorer by tinyworlds 2013-04-30T16:09:00

@martijn: I did not provide a binary for 64bit Linux yet. Download the engines source (link is at the top) and put the src folder into the Iceberg_Explorer_Linux/
Now run the script again.

Iceberg Explorer by tinyworlds 2013-05-01T11:59:00

@Alex Camilleri: Shame upon me, I forgot to include the exe :x I'm currently updating the download.

Fight The Minimalism by Cyboot 2013-05-04T11:36:00

Mwahaha, I disturbed the psychologists. The controls are a bit odd. The terminals could need a sound and the player walking on the floor. I guess you are fitting the theme, by providing minimal rights for citizen..

# by Tim Bumpus 2013-05-09T18:55:00

The controls and the collision detecting is terrible! The colors are good, as well as the minimalistic music.

Square Heart Flower by JonathanG 2013-05-20T13:00:00

Very cool! I recently wanted to make a game using images instead of common language, too. Good job on this! The atmosphere was good. Cons: The black-white effect sometimes was confusing and I didn't get what to do after having the bread.

Illumbox by TylerC 2013-05-10T19:25:00

Psychedelic. The level generation was sometimes unfair.

Trapped in Minimalism by eShredder 2013-05-10T16:55:00

Nirvana Quest by dremelofdeath 2013-05-17T09:06:00

Eh, cool intro, but then the screen wents black and I just hear the sounds.

Minimalism : Find the red Cube by Martin_Monosys 2013-05-14T18:59:00

The first 5 levels were good, but then it did get frustrating. You have some interesting mechanics there, but it is hard to keep the motivation while increasing the difficulty. Some flying light sources would have done the job by enlightening the platforms while floating over them.

Argh, the game is huge and Windows-only - it is about 2,5 times bigger than my cross-platform 3D game. Let's see if Wine can emulate it under Linux.. .. .. YES!!! The humor of the game is pretty dark. I could resurrect the blonde by turning the stereobox off :P I could not figure out how to make the tomato soup putting tomatoes + rat poison into the mixer did not work :| Graphics and sounds where cool.

Sightless by donan 2013-05-13T13:35:00

Cool graphics and nice music, but the gameplay sucks. Floating from one colored dot to another, staying close to the walls is not challenging and entertaining. Also, don't name the archive of your game after the distribution (e.g. 'linux').

Goat Tower by klianc09 2013-09-15T16:37:00

Cool idea, but poorly polished. The sounds are annoying (especially the ones in the main menu). The pixelart is good, but may use more "funnier" colors. The difficulty really needs to be more balanced, the singleplayer mode is too hard.

@Reverend Speed Thank you for providing a Linux binary. You may want to install Linux (Mint) next to Windows - it's very easy to do so.

On the 'game'. The art style is interesting. I like especially the gloomy lightening.

However, you approached the game creation process in the wrong way in my opinion - I implemented the core mechanics first and then did create proper artwork (remember: I created my game in 4,8 hours).

Generic Adventure Game by Jezzamon 2014-04-28T22:42:00

I stopped the game after the first relocation. The gameplay was way to slow-paced for me. Heros appear seldom, you walk slow and the conversations are really slow and can't be skipped (I'm a rather fast reader).
The music is ok, nothing amazing, but a solid base.
Same applies to the graphics. Maybe use another color palette the next time.

I like the idea of the game itself, but the gameplay is too slow-paced to keep me playing.

Le Ver by GamerTaters 2014-05-05T16:10:00

Cool take on the theme! The style of the game is quite unique, good job on the textures!
The melodiousness of French worked great in combination with the subtitles! :)

All in all an artsy game with a great mood about deep thoughts.

Gun Wo IIIIIII by vigrid 2014-05-06T09:53:00

Cool! I really like the character creation feature!
Gameplay wise I'm missing some sort of tactics, besides digging a hole in the wall so only one enemy can attack you at once. Ranged attacks, several weapons and potions would have been great.
Also hearing the enemies grunt when they are near, would have made exploring much better.

I really like graphics and sound of this and a rogue like works always!

Digging up Daisy by Cake&Code 2014-04-30T20:49:00

The Drowning Man by stoo 2014-05-06T09:28:00

I would like this to have a proper background story- why do I want to swim beneath the ice? Do I want to get to somewhere or to someone?
I like the music, it's really catchy.
The graphics are mostly OK and do their job. The swim animation of the player would simply look better if the gradient wouldn't be flipping sides with him.
Another font (and maybe another font color) would have done great on this. Oh and the ice also could have various transparency - this would create a nice effect!

All in all a cool idea and good music!

Graphics are ok, as well as the audio.

All in all a really innovative game, I sadly got stuck with.

FedIt! by zedutchgandalf 2014-05-04T23:00:00

It needs bigger bullets, better graphics, screen shake, recoil and better sounds. I like the idea, though!
Good thing to destroy the food when shooting on it and the enemies going to it! That allows some tactics.
As many of my arcade games this soon gets repetitive.
What helps is adding levels/waves (with upgrades, stronger enemies etc.) so you've a feeling of progress as player.

All in all this idea has great potential, but you still got a lot to learn when it comes to implementation.

Surface Dwellers and Pit People by Joseph Miller 2014-05-04T19:55:00

I think the core game mechanic would work better if you could drag the blogs with your mouse. It would feel more intuitive, direct and allow more fast paced gameplay.
It also would be interesting to have a NPC changing directions of NPC he meets on the way. And some visible effect when a creature leaves at the wrong level (explosions! :D).

All in all a great idea, which needs some more variety and an other control scheme.

Wriggle Worm by gikdew 2014-04-29T00:12:00

You should better give out a seizure warning for this (because of the blinking when hitting another worm).
I really like the animations of the worms. The controls feel really good too.
I don't like the background sound much, I would prefer a subtle tune to play to.
I also don't get into the flow you'd like the player to get according to your description. The gameplay requires too much active attention, partly due the different color of the worms I think.

All in all a nice, simple game with lovely animations!

Dark Soils by Grieve 2014-05-06T22:18:00

Bug: Zombies can walk trough walls.

The graphics are really cool! Cool detail on the players head! I like the text-bounce effect a lot! :)

I somewhat didn't come to such places as seen in your screenshots, but I looted some graves.
I kinda dislike there is no player input when digging - it would be cool to dig faster when pressing space rapidly.

I'm really missing the audio on this entry, it would possibly have created a great mood.

All in all very cool graphics, but the game soon gets repetitive.

I Remember Alice by Linus Lindberg 2014-05-04T23:49:00

WOW! Very touching!
I think the universal story and the monotone gameplay and audio are key when it comes to evoking emotions.

This is a very impressive piece and so far my favorite!

Wunderheilung by kbm 2014-05-08T18:15:00

Cool idea!
The art and sound is ok.
The actual gameplay works flawless once you figured out the controls, but it is very short.

Michell in Hell by Adrian 2014-05-06T22:06:00

Lovely graphics, cool idea and very good audio!
The gameplay itself has some mayor flaws. There is only one tower and collision detecting sometimes seems to be very inaccurate. I'm also missing powerups after a wave is over.

All in all this is a cool idea, with good gameart, but the gameplay has major flaws.

Flesh Hunter by Tom Gardiner 2014-04-30T18:54:00

I think what this games makes great is the user feedback. The dancing text, the screen shake, the animations, the sound and the +1 thingies all do their job pretty good.
As I already said previously I really like the music! :)
The pixelart is solid, I really like the colors you used. In the first level it's hard to distinguish the points and the grass.
The enemy AI can be easily tricked by camping under something.

All in all a very polished game with great user feedback and a cool soundtrack! :)

Operation Blind October by Jyrkface 2014-05-06T21:57:00

Cool idea, but the bad controls make this frustrating.
You move too fast and glide a long way after the button is released.
I also don't see any reason, NOT to press the Sonar button. Hammering rapidly on it works fine.

The graphics are ok. Enemies are a bit hard to distinguish from your own boat, which can be confusing.
The audio is good too.

The end requires a seizure warning for epileptics either in the description or as preloader.
Also, on the presentation of the game itself: if the SWF would be centered and the page having a dark background, it would look ways better.

All in all a cool idea, but the controls make it frustrating to play.

Hostile Planet by rezoner 2014-04-28T22:26:00

The graphics are pretty solid, lovely colors and cool filter.
The gameplay was refreshing and it was interesting to discover a way to deal with the aliens. The game feels too short though.
The music is the best for me of this entry :)

All in all a good game with an interesting concept.

The Underkeep by DaanVanYperen 2014-05-04T23:39:00

Was really cool once I get behind how it works!
The pixelart looks great and the audio is ok.

The Worlds Beneath by jugglerrob 2014-05-04T23:27:00

A lot like Thomas was alone.
The level design of the first level was good, but the other levels had some really frustrating parts: falling down and need to walk all the way back, something which looks like stairs, but leads to a wall you can't pass ...
The audio was really good as well as the look of the first level.

Deep Sea Salvage by Zutty 2014-05-06T10:08:00

This looks great! I like the bubbles and the sharks the most!
It get's really easy when pressing X and C rapidely - some ammo would've been a good idea! Oh and a boost which needs to recharge, so you can have more tactical fights!
This really would've needed some proper audio, especially a mystical chiptune as background music! :)

All in all a really cool game, which I would consider buying when it's polished, extended and has audio.

Me & My Metal Detector by WeaselZone 2014-04-28T23:14:00

The graphics are cool, I really like the comic-like style! The best are the detector and the waves.
I really like the guitar playing. The other sounds are not perfect but fit the mood of the game quite well.
I was motivated to play the game a few times until I got 4 treasures, but not to find all of them. Maybe some encouraging message instead of "Oh noes"?
The take on the theme is rather obvious.

All in all a funny game with a light mood, which could need some polish in terms of gameplay.

I really like the trance-like flow the game puts you into.
I think that comes from the simple, repetitive gameplay and the really good music. I think the audio somewhat makes the game.
While the graphics itself are not that great, they have some pretty colors and do their job well.
As you said yourself, the idea has been seen pretty often, so not many points on Theme and Innovation from me.

All in all a good game with a great mood!

Hey, you!! by Crocanti de Pollo 2014-05-06T09:38:00

Cool idea! It was really satisfying to locate the thief!
The background and the lights in combination with the sound set the right mood and the sfxr sounds work very well!
I like how the people "blend" together, this makes it a bit harder.

This is one of my favorites so far :)

Beneath the surface by siondream 2014-04-28T23:02:00

Got stuck at the same part as mariscal.
It was so earlier in the game the mood couldn't really build up.

The cave was described rather well, I had immediately a picture of it in my head. The concept of the game is well known and as far as I played there isn't anything new to it. The theme is included but not in a special way.

All in all it may have great potential, but it really needs a mechanic to prevent getting stuck (e.g. show all available verbs).

@bobombe: "you could have been fun or satirical"
- if it doesn't seem for you to be, it doesn't mean it isn't. It means you've another perception or I told it badly.
(thing is that I can't really see which themes you got trough the random factor)
There are definitively some filler themes I throw in there (as "Ludum Dare Theme"), but also some satirical ones (e.g. "Submit a game" being equally inspiring in mood and setting as "Entire Game on One Screen").
I'm not very secure at satire to be honest, it's quite different to amuse a crowd than some friends you know. The game was a challenge so I get more secure with it.

Beneath Crystal Mountain by ianatherton 2014-12-14T10:29:00

I really like the textures, but the overall art is to inconsistent. Vector graphics vs. lowpoly vs. paint-like UI.
I didn't see there was anything beyond fighting to this (hence I did not see a point to carry the minion to). The fighting itself was very repetitive and did require no skill or tactics at all. It also lacked better visual impact when hitting an enemy.

Clear objective, consistent artstyle and a diversified battle is what the game is missing in my opinion. I really like the vector graphics and moody light.

Aaaah, I love how games with ducks can come away with pulling such awesome randomness!
Feedback-wise you definitively should have added a muzzle flash and make the bullets explode when they hit the enemies. Maybe also shake the screen a bit.
The tune is pretty nice and the art style fits the weirdness of the game perfectly!
Fun!

Shark Lazer Hands by HeuGamer 2015-04-19T20:03:00

*um, I meant let the bullets of the enemies explode when they hit the player

100 Dollars Unicorns by td2tl 2015-04-19T20:10:00

my user journey:

Ok, the description involving butt-touching immediately got my attention.
...
Shit they are so hard to land. Missing some chiptune.
The art style is nice and the bouncy clouds
...
Yes finally got one! (playing with mouse)
...
argh, this is getting frustrating. Probably because of my mouse input. Mmm, ok, kinda good game with a crazy idea and lovely colors. Also nice touch on the theme.

(hope you can get something out of this somewhat different comment)

Mutant Broccoli and Butterfly by pegno304 2015-04-19T20:36:00

The fox and the bunny are really cute c:
With the little animations everything really comes to life! I really liked the idea of growing flowers, too. So cute! :3

Theme-wise: a butterfly totally is an unconventional weapon! Very clever to take the concept of a topdown shooter and transfer it to a totally contrary scenario.

AN UNCONVENTIONAL WEAPON by Avant-Marde 2015-05-13T12:27:00

As someone who was being mobbed in school I could easily identify with the story.
The feeling of having everyone against you. Thinking you made a friend but then it turns out that they are influenced by the others and adapt their opinion. That are the two ideas I can see you communicated.
That are certainly 2 ideas which can be found in most mobbing experiences.
Sound design and graphics worked great to communicate the story and I also liked the slow walking and the people popping up behind your back.
I think where this games fails is whom it is adressed to. I can see how mobbing victims can identify with it, but I can't see how this would make someone understand the consequences from the perspective of a mobber.

All in all, big kudos to you! It's hard to make a game about such a topic and I want to congrat you on your courage to make it.

LD34 — Two Button Controls / Growing

Concrete Jungle by Miltage 2015-12-18T21:59:00

That was a wonderful game! The tiny plant exploring the city as a habitat ... guerilla-gardening as a game.

Ludum Vitae by Slothmachine 2015-12-18T22:01:00

Hm, interesting idea! I love how you tried to create a calm yet lively atmosphere with the camera movement and the particles.
I felt a bit like the lines screamed to make a penis or something bad with them ... I wonder if it would have felt differently with little round bushes to create your plant out of or something similar.

LD37 — One room

13 jellyfish by Four Quarters 2016-12-14T21:12:00

Wow really sweet pixelart and music!
The gameplay also feels really good, there is always a sense of discovery there and unknown things to be discovered.
Great game!

Welcome to my Room by tinyworlds 2016-12-12T21:26:00

Thanks everbody for the feedback so far! Glad you seem to like the style :)
I agree @Kurakurt it would prob benefit from some animations to make the level more lively. Also @tigerfinch, yes I think this wouldn't work like this as a longer game. Good I made it short ^^

Welcome to my Room by tinyworlds 2016-12-13T22:07:00

Thanks everybody for the wonderful comments. Some of them honestly made my eyes a bit wet ^^
@Ludipe Thanks for the thoughtful comment. I like your approach on things, may try this out with another project. Here I decided trough the theme to rather explore different versions of the same room :)

Welcome to my Room by tinyworlds 2017-01-02T22:26:00

@automatonvx Good point about the audio!
As far as I understand it, it's only for the compo were you can't use resources by other people.
I initially didn't want to opt out of the sound category rating, as I recorded and edited all sounds per se by myself. But I can totally see how the music of bbaTV is dominating the whole experience of the games sound (I credit him in the games titlescreen btw).
I think I'm gonna opt out of the sound category, as I feel like half of the audio experience can be attributed to bbaTV, who did not directly participate in the jam.
Thanks for the feedback!

Soap by sn0uk 2016-12-12T21:03:00

Would love a Linux build of this if possible. Looks fun :)

Essay Writer 5000 by MrEvilGuy 2016-12-12T23:28:00

Funny thing is, I just sent in a 500 words essay 1min before deadline ^^
That lalala part made me so mad - in a good way :D

levelone by dietzribi 2016-12-18T16:00:00

Haha that was fucking great! Laughed out loud multiple times when playing the game :D
Love the whole meta-layer of it, of developer and creation. Reminds me at that old viral stickman videos.
Great game!

Writers' Block by computer_overlord 2016-12-13T23:43:00

The Download seems to be missing the Windows .exe or Linux/Mac binaries required to run the game.

Knock it Off by Asarge 2016-12-18T16:40:00

You should probably change the link title to "Windows".
Couldn't emulate it on Linux using Wine, as the required dll's are not included in the download.

Christmas Time by Jon Reid 2016-12-12T23:39:00

Haha really cool concept! Never seen a game using two instances like this :D

VR Player Simulator by SoKette 2016-12-12T22:01:00

+1 for testing on Wine
I got 2856, did not find the easter eggs ^^
Funny little game, looks like he's doing something else when "resting".

UNH4CK3D by Tkachov 2016-12-13T00:40:00

Really cool game! Soon after I started playing the game it really drew me in and I forgot for a bit I was playing a game.

Life.exe by wujood 2016-12-12T23:36:00

Really need a walktrough for this !) Great game with a very charming humor :D

OneRoom by atclouse 2016-12-12T20:41:00

Maybe you should change the Link title from Web->Windows.
Usually I can emulate Unity games fine on Linux, but this time it didn't work, so no rating for me.
Would appreciate a Linux build :)

Lost In The Dance by Lukeryn 2016-12-18T17:47:00

Wow that was great, thank you!
Made me feel some really interesting things. Great atmosphere! Also graphics are really nice, especially for Unity. And the voice-acting, oh boi, it's good!

Floor is Lava! by #gmdsgn 2016-12-13T23:05:00

Cool gameplay, a little bit addictive! ^^
I really like the graphical style! The color scheme works very nicely imo and is nice balanced. Sound design is also nice, fits things together. Although I found the high pitch shortly after you jump quite hurt my ears.
Great game guys :)

Painted Red by V0odo0 2016-12-13T23:48:00

I wanted to write +1 for Linux Download but then I realized it was just a Windows binary. You should be able to create native binaries for Linux using Unity :)
So yeah, sadly couldn't emulate it, so no rating from me yet.

Rocambolli by eri0o 2016-12-12T21:42:00

Too hard for me lol.
Nice autotracker music. Game feels smooth, the character has surprisingly much uniqueness/character to it.

VaporArenaWave クール by Tilemapping 2016-12-12T21:21:00

I didn't know this before, but I needed a vaporwave game in my life :D Thank you for making this!
The animations of the hands and the monsters are pretty good and the style is nicely linked together.
What I really would have needed sometimes are indications where enemies will spawn. They happened to spawn quite a lot of times inside of myself. And also maybe a bigger arena, so it's more about movement than aiming and button spawning. But maybe that's just my taste in shooters :D
Great game, love the aesthetic! :D

4th Snail Indoor World Championship by Hores 2016-12-12T23:06:00

That's some intense gameplay son !)

Pimp My Room by Stylo21 2016-12-12T20:57:00

Cool clicker with a weird, interesting background story!
Accidentely left the tab open while playing some other games and I had instantly all upgrades :D
Was fun! Would have wished for an endgame maybe, although such type of games maybe don't need it.
Also the music is really fun! :)

Splashy Room by sfje-team 2016-12-12T21:55:00

Some of the best camera movements I've seen in a long time! :)
Really cool graphical style, love the colors. And the audio links everything nicely together. Gameplay wise it was a bit frustrating to me, I kept falling off and there were no checkpoints. But maybe I'm just a very casual player :P
Great game!

Granny's Day Out by Potato Dog 2016-12-14T23:09:00

Great artstyle! Love that you set it in a retirement home - so mundane but so interesting :D Very cute & I love the simple music of it.

Apricot Drop by Nixxor 2016-12-16T23:08:00

Couldn't emulate the game on Linux Mint using Wine sadly :(
From the video it looks very cute and funny ^^

Voyage by TitoMakaniJr 2016-12-16T23:05:00

Wow awesome game, especially for your first finished one!
Woah, just realized the guy is named like me and the woman like one of my exes o.O :O

Conștiență by Uliana Galich 2016-12-14T23:26:00

Great atmosphere!
The ending seemed a bit forced, but otherwise the storytelling was great. Like the idea of what the things a person surrounds themself with can say about them.

The Totally Normal Room by britton.sean.web@gmail.com 2016-12-18T15:51:00

Wow, great atmosphere and concept! Has nothing to do with the screenshot though :P
The mechanics really highlighted the fear of the unknown for me I think. I never knew what would happen next and what was around me at times.
Great game! (I'd love to vote this on innovation ^^)

One Step Back by Holofire 2016-12-18T16:56:00

Cool game, love the idea of the narrator! Would have greatly benefitted from some narration or in general sound and music, to create a deeper atmosphere.

Alien Cats Need a Place to Chill, Too! by madameberry 2016-12-13T00:14:00

I love to be a cat! :D
Cute game, please make real-life moss couches and mushroom plush towers would buy 10/10.

General Room by jeroenwimmers 2016-12-18T16:49:00

I don't know if I should feel bad about enjoying the game.
Could be kinda seen as metaphor for the detachment of generals and the people who actually fight in the war.
It was "cute" the graphics were really nice and I enjoyed the eastereggs. Music & sound was great too.
Awesome game!

Nightmares by Yami no tenshi 2016-12-12T21:14:00

+1 for including the dll's etc so it can be emulated on Linux.
Cool little game, I love the scenery you set there.
The atmosphere is great, both trough sound and art.
Gameplay wise, very simple, maybe a bit repetitive for my taste.
All in all a good entry. The scene itself is very iconic imo! :)

My Friend Bubba by TijmenTio 2016-12-12T23:40:00

Tried to emulate on Linux using Wine, says "Cabinet is not valid". Had the problem with gamemaker games before, maybe it works if you include the required dll's etc.

One Gogh by DMinsky 2016-12-12T23:12:00

Hm that room looks kinda familiar! ^^
Great sound & graphics. Not really a fan of puzzle games personally, but people who are will sure find this interesting :)
Great game!

Sonder by Ludipe 2016-12-13T00:07:00

Awesome! I love how much meaning you put in this puzzle :)fart

Sonder by Ludipe 2016-12-13T00:07:00

(shit I must have had fart in my clipboard. So sorry didn't mean to write that xD)

Waiting Room - The Game by NinjaPatBeck 2016-12-18T17:13:00

Interesting game. Gonna leave the tab a bit open to see what happens.

Danger: Mondays by Gamepopper 2016-12-13T00:00:00

That was actually pretty intense :P
Reminds me at the game where you need to release gas when a car passes by.

Obelisk by Almax27 2016-12-18T16:09:00

Wow great game, I really enjoyed it!
The fighting system was done really well. Simple, but challenging and with some variety to it. Music was really fitting and the atmosphere set by the obelisk's text was great, very mysterious!
On the counterside, I found it a bit harsh to start all over once you die. Kept me from playing again when I died the 2nd time.
Very good game with a great atmosphere and feel!

Diorama by Tater_hater 2016-12-12T23:52:00

I don't know why, but this felt kinda trippy to me ^^
Nice idea with the cardboard look!

Handle With Care by NickZangus 2016-12-16T23:20:00

Great lighting and controls!
On my 2nd try I tried to wreck as much shit as possible, although it was very appearant the game didn't want me to ^^

TILT Service by Birke 2016-12-18T16:26:00

Felt like triggering a cutscene. Would have loved to actually be able to explore the worlds.
As far as it comes to "first game that uses entirely Tiltbrush graphics": you're pretty close, but my university mates beat you to it :P (and prob someone else lol) But yeah, it's a really interesting aesthetic, especially for alien worlds!
Sound design was pretty good imo. Liked the elevator music and narration.
Cool idea, would have loved some exploration!

Elevator Panic! by Wefiends 2016-12-18T01:40:00

Really fun little game, the music is just perfect! :D
I felt guilty in a good way when I hit the brakes to late!
Great game!

Doom Tomb of the True Room by Flatgub 2016-12-13T23:41:00

Damn I'm so bad at this xP
Cool little game, I love the art style and the color palette you used! Music is very nice, creates a good mood.
Maybe a bit text to read at the signs imo, but it still has an ok length.

Great little game! :)

The Employee by pLaw 2016-12-14T23:19:00

Everyday the same routine and you can't break out!
Great entry, love the mood and minimalistic sound design.
I'm not sure if it was intended, but I got stuck on the keyboard on the end and had to take the "escape route".
Very atmospheric game!

Utility Station OR-152 by Justin Mullin 2016-12-18T17:07:00

Wow, I never want to work in a space utility station once this becomes a thing.
Great game, very immersive. Can't find myself playing it for longer though. Would be cool to have some chance of personal expression as you progress. Maybe breaks to look at the stars or money to buy stuff for your station with.

Machina by Drtizzle 2016-12-12T21:30:00

Cool short game! Love the idea.
The puzzles remind me at the physics puzzles from Amnesia.
Great atmosphere & time traveling is awesome. Would love to see a full version of this :)

Empty by dustyroom 2016-12-18T16:21:00

Cool game! Much like Vignettes I guess?
The music was really fitting and made me want to keep playing.
Great game!

I Clean Toilet by Flaterectomy 2016-12-18T17:20:00

Haha this is great! Love how she used the same broom to clean up the sinks. Interesting exaggerated look into the live of the person who cleans the toilets c:

Huge & Cute by michidk 2016-12-14T00:06:00

+1 for Linux build :)
Cute little game, love the puzzle mechanics and the clean, warm style. The two little guys are just so adorable :3

Little Black Spider by madmarcel 2016-12-13T00:12:00

Beautiful room and I really like the way you designed the itch.io page! :) Would love to see how this would be like with gameplay. Lovely art <3

Captain's Room by Nicolaigd 2016-12-14T21:01:00

Tried to emulate it on Linux using Wine. Says "cabinet is not valid". As far as I know this could be solved by including the dll's the program requires.

The Situation Room: Twitter Crisis by dkdwrek 2016-12-12T20:36:00

Cool idea! I love the design of the page. Simple but works really well imo. Maybe you could add a little padding for the top menu (home, about).
Also I agree with meg. Right now it is too easy to pick out fake tweets. They don't follow Trumps rhythm of speech or simply don't make sense. Maybe it would be better to have hand-written tweets to make it harder to distinguish.

The Walking Closet by andyman404 2016-12-14T21:06:00

Great game and I love the story that inspired you to make it! :D Really fun, I enjoyed eating the clothes off the humans.
I think I once managed to clip trough the wall as I triggered the growing as the eating animation was playing.
As I said great game, one of the most fun I played so far! :D

DISK by Kuality Games 2016-12-18T17:34:00

I first was really frustrated as I didn't read the controls and thought there was no button to retrieve the disk. An ingame tutorial would be nice imo.
Looked pretty good! Especially as you made this in an "Unreal"-like style in Unity.
Felt like it was all about moving and dodging, which I really liked.
Could have used some badass music.
Great game!

Porno Tales: part 1 (Warning: NSFW!!!) by Sublustris 2016-12-12T21:34:00

Porno-tales + minions .. what not to love about that ^^
Would love to have an indication of where minions will come out next, so it becomes more a thing of skill than luck :)

Team Therapy by Catwheel 2016-12-12T20:59:00

Would love a Linux build of this :)

Banira Shio by etherealWhisper 2016-12-18T16:31:00

Really cool idea! Love the music & sound. The graphics look nice too, although some more simple textures would have been nice. Camera was really annoying at times, which made me pre-maturely quit the game.
All in all a great game with nice sound!

The Shifting Theatre by TajamSoft 2016-12-18T17:15:00

Waiting for that Linux build :)

Stain This Planet With Cosmic Prism by Mieeh 2016-12-12T23:10:00

Cute little game! Love the pixelart :)
Could be a bit more difficult imo, although I also like how relaxing it is right now.

Professor Killalot by Ourson 2016-12-12T21:00:00

Hm, tried to emulate under Linux, but it says the .CAB file is missing.

Room Climber by Pepejson 2016-12-13T23:29:00

Couldn't play on Linux Mint using Wine :/ Would love a Linux build if that's possible!

Room Climber by Pepejson 2016-12-18T18:00:00

Linux build works .. sorta. I start with the car turned on it's back and can't move ^^

Sign by VersatileBox 2016-12-13T23:54:00

That was a really interesting game! I felt like it played really well with the expectation I had at it.
Great mood, very mysterious.
As you may know there are some clipping errors in the hallway, maybe you can fix it.

Great game!

Home Is Where The Heart Is by ambocclusion 2016-12-14T21:29:00

Haha I fucking love this! That mailman is an asshole :D

Spell Bear by torcado 2016-12-12T23:47:00

Nice little game, love how it turned out! The bear is just so adorable :D

Dont Breathe My Air! by Suaave 2016-12-13T18:42:00

Nice game guys! It's really fun to play with the exploding heads in the main menu :D

Faucet by AlmightyTuna 2016-12-12T21:49:00

Wow! My favorite LD game so far!
Great atmosphere, great mystery. It really glued me to my screen, especially when trying to find something in the flickering scene.

Roomba Fight Club by JimmothySanchez 2016-12-12T21:35:00

Would love a Linux build of this :)

Cave Explorer by alexander0153 2016-12-17T23:36:00

Cool little rogue-like! Loved the background graphics of this :)
The fighting system was pretty basic imo, really just mashing a button at the right time. Maybe just having an additional ranged weapon and enemies with ranged attacks would have added more variety. I also discovered you can play the whole game without ever attacking anyone, simply outrunning them, which is nice.
The character animations were really nice. I feel like the characters could have used some simple shading, as used in the background, to link it better together.
Also music! As3sfxr would have been good enough to create some sound effects :) And maybe even try autotracker for the music.
All in all a cool little roguelike with really nice background graphics and animations!

Pixel Artist Simulator by aamatniekss 2016-12-13T23:28:00

That's some sweet pixelart dude! I'll remember the skeleton :)

behold the cryptic by ooku 2016-12-12T23:19:00

Cool little game, love the music! First time I played a rhythmic typing game as far as I remember. Makes me want to dance :)

Stick Together by Jalict 2016-12-12T20:54:00

Cool idea! Would have been hilarious in multiplayer :D
Don't really see where the themes come in.Like one chatroom?
Anyway, as previously said, the camera & movement is really weird. A "normal" third person camera would just have been fine imo.

So cool idea and great animations!

Magic Panic by harusame 2016-12-17T23:43:00

Cool entry! Great pacing and level of difficulty.
The pixelart is kinda cute, the music fits.
I like it ^^

BOSS ROOM by rogual 2016-12-12T21:38:00

Nice little game! Controls feel nice and it makes me want to keep playing :) Also nice balance. Thought first it would be too easy, but then rocket guys came into play.

The One Room Experiment by Siegfried Croes 2016-12-18T16:39:00

Cool little game! Love the limited set of colors and the use of the hook. The hook made me really feel like the object of some experiment.

Fish Physics by avalkyrie 2016-12-12T21:09:00

+1 for Linux build
Haha that was really fun! Love the idea very unique :D
Loved to fool around with it.
My fish was named Mr. Bubbles! ^^
