10 seconds Are An Eternity by Larzan 2013-09-03T23:24:00
Interesting concept, but I think the game froze when I tried to go in 1 of the smaller planets.

Interesting concept, but I think the game froze when I tried to go in 1 of the smaller planets.
Gives a blank page for me. :/
I have no idea what's going on! :P
Has quite a few bugs, but would've been better with a simple start/restart screen.
Nice.. although pretty random in regards to music. :)
The controls would be better if they were more precise.
Really well-done game, and great pixelart.. although some of the UI went below the screen. Also, if you pause the game during the intro, trying to unpause it, you'll click the website and will link you back out.
Neat, although it was a bit difficult seeing the dots. Could be a great rhythm beat game.
Not bad. It took me some time to figure out how to play, but other than that. Would've liked more levels, and a restart button.
Awesome game! and trippy. :P
Pretty fun game , and nice music too.
Haha, nice. That was incredibly difficult, never will use virtual chopsticks again!
Pretty neat use of Russian roulette. I liked the arcade feel of the visuals as well. :)
Reminds a lot of skyroads, really fun game. I did get some huge lag spikes during the 3rd level.
It was quite confusing at first, but it has great visuals and animation. Nice!
Lovely pixel art and controls felt solid. :)
Pretty simple, but enjoyable.. especially for 2 hours!
This was lovely! :)
Neat game.. but I can't make out what he's exactly saying in the beginning, haha.
Really good game , I did not expect to see a boss and building mechanics.
This was really awesome! imo the most unique use of the theme.
Way too short!! But.. I loved the graphics and atmosphere. :)
ooh.. pretty interesting. Not sure what I've played though. :P
Very polished and slick graphics. Is this the only MLP entry? :P
Cute. I'd like to see this more fleshed out! :)
I love the graphic style in this! The small bullets are pretty hard to see in contrast with the moving bg.
More acceleration would have been good. Otherwise, nice game.
I enjoyed the humour in it. :)
ooh, very trippy.
Same here, 404 error.
One of the best entries I've played so far.. pretty awesome game. :)
Nice. Pretty neat how you could go around the whole thing.
Pretty fun game although I had no idea what was going on. :) Got a 2nd umbrella at the end, but by that time.. my head already came off.
haha, really nice. and awesome graphics. :)
Yes, another cat game! Would've liked to hear some sounds/music though. :)
Was pretty easy, but difficulty was just right. I could see this with a more fleshed out story and better graphics. :) would be cool to add those spaces and commas too.
I love the wario-ware style!
Really interesting concept, incredibly difficult, but fun. :)
Gahh.. grawhh..aghh..
oh man.... lol nice!
Pretty cool game! The instructions at the start.. I literally thought it meant U,D,L,R. haha.
Nice! Has slick controls and graphics, and played really smooth.
Sets the mood real well, and interesting concept. Nice. :)
nice pixelart, and solid controls. :)
Pretty cool, I liked the music too. But a visible time limit and restart button would be nice.
Simple, but nice game.
Really interesting game, I liked it. :)
Would've liked some sound, though.
Solid jump platformer. Only downside is that sensitive mouse.
Interesting concept, and music goes really well. Would have liked 'up' for jump.
Intresting concept, but started getting a bit laggy when the lazers started. The jumping/collisions could've been better since he bounced a bit when landing.
This was really cool. :)
simple case -1.9 s.
arkanoid -0.2 s.
evading -0.1 s.
catching the boxes -0.5 s
math -1.3 s.
Got total of error value 4s. I can't believe I got the worst on simple case, haha.
Seems like a nice concept. Was a bit confusing trying to get through the main menu, though. Could use more polish and better controls, but good job!
Pretty fun puzzle game. :)
Pretty fun game. and damn hard too. :)
Thanks! The game is pretty short, so I didn't want people breezing pass it.. Unless you mean some game breaking level design.
Oh, the clocks that have a slight pulse reset the entire timer. The rest just +1.
Thanks for the comments!
@BloodJohn : Text should advance by clicking X.
@Methatheos : There was going to be a lot more use for the gun, but I was stressed with the deadline.
Thanks all! The game also got featured on Newgrounds! :)
Haha, nice. :)
Wasn't a big fan of the music, but it had solid controls and nice pixelart. :)
little nice game! ;) Reminds me slightly of those wario-ware games.
interesting game, but would've liked a different color scheme.
A cool party game! Would definitely enjoy better for better keyboard controls, especially if there's no xbox controllers around.
Simple game. Great for playing once in awhile when bored.
Took me a bit to figure it out, but it's a nice relaxing game. :)
Really nice game, would like to see more. :)
Pretty fun game. :)
Simple, buy smooth gameplay. Nice. :)
A nice typing game. The typing sound could've been different, though.
Relaxing.. uhp.. breath out! breath out!
not too bad. although, music was a bit tedious.
Really nice concept! Fun game.
not bad! Although, the zoom time could've been a lot shorter. Or possibly just add a "skip" button somewhere.
Really simple, but fun. :) Got to level 15.
This is a neat concept. Although, I think she died on me, but was reset on a refresh. Or maybe that was just me..
lovely graphics and atmosphere. I only wish controlling the bird was more responsive. :)
Really simple, but fun game. Gets pretty addicting too. :)
fun game, solid controls. Nice job! :)
Cute music and well-polished maze game. :)
lol, this.. is hard. :P
I love the concept. Would like to see this fleshed out more. :)
Really fun game! Definitely would like to see this more fleshed out into a full game. :)
Cute, and difficult game. (But I did start on inhumane at first). :P
Simple, but fun game.
Woah, super short. :P
One of the better entries imo. I love the graphics and mood.. interesting mechanic as well.. Although, stuck in the loop. :P
Interesting and great gameplay! Not quite sure what the blocks on the bottom were for, though.
Really smooth and good game! :)
Fun game, solid controls. :)
Hah, nice game.. and nice voice acting.
A nice, but simple game. :)
Nice game! Feels really polished and slick. ;)
Really fun game! Especially with the multiplayer. :)
The constant clicking sound got a tad annoying.. Otherwise nice game and Lovely pixelart. :)
Haha, nice job! damn 8 meters!?? I'm still stuck on 2. :P
Fun minimalistic game. Would have to agree with others that the movement could be more solid.
Cute! Kyaa! ^_^
Controls are a little wonky, but I love the 'feel' of the game. :)
Awesome game. :) Lovely sounds and gameplay.
Really cool game. I love the atmosphere it gives off. Beat it through the red room. Haven't beat the blue room yet.
Haha, nice game. Did not expect a giant crab with magnets.
Solid gameplay and sounds. :)
Love the model. Would like to see more! :)
Hey thanks for playing. :) You only get one.. direction at a time.
Thank you Chinaski, I completely forgot to block off that area.
Thanks!
@angelk : I've never heard of that game, but glad you mentioned it. Will keep an eye out for it. :)
Thanks everyone for playing! I didn't expect to get on the top 100. :)
@jomomomo : Haha, Good luck! :)
Awesome game. great audio and super polished. Although, at times crawling on the ground became tedious. :(
Nice game. Solid gameplay. :)
Interesting game. It took me awhile to figure out what was going on, but Nice job.
The twist at the end. :) Nice use of theme.
Interesting concept, and it was enjoyable to play. Although I don't see any real use of the theme. Great job nonetheless! :)
Nice game! Got it on my 2nd try (by complete luck). :P
Great game, really fun! Would be perfect for mobile.
5/5 - Best LD game I've played so far. :)
Thank you! If you don't mind, which 2nd key do you mean?
@Namuol I used Stencyl and GraphicsGale.
@Jonochrome Thanks. I haven't completely gotten rid of it in post-jam version, but it should be happen significantly less than the LD ver. (I hope).
Sure. I'm currently writing up the post-mortem / design process I took.
Hey guys, I've uploaded a Post-Mortem / Design Look for this. Check it out here:
http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/2014/05/03/the-valley-rule-post-mortem-design-look/
Thanks guys!
@shadow64 : The post-jam version has a save-point at the top and some slight fixes with wall-jumping. :)
@Lyje The overhang is the same, but I fixed some bugs with wall-jumping. If you beat the old version, then the post-jam version would be a breeze. :)
@cageinabird Nice!
I always love the experimental adventures you create. :)
Woah, I really love the graphic style you used in the game!
One of the best games I've played so far. And that giant beast reminds of something out of tubular worlds. Awesome job!
I think this is my favorite LD entry so far. Great job, and fantastic music. I'm a sucker for rhythm games. :D
I love the sound and concept! I didn't finish it as the boat kept going back and forth. Maybe I need to click with a certain rhythm or moderately?
Anyways, nice game. ;)
Has a really high difficulty and got hardcore on the 3rd room. It really sucked that once I reached the end I realized I had to kill every one of those enemies. Overall, really polished and fun game!
Not bad for 8 hours. I think making her a bit faster would be better.
This was pretty fun. It got some nice graphics and an interesting take on theme.
I really love the atmosphere and ambient music. The graphics are lovely too. I just wish there was more variety in gameplay and an improved dash without that "lock" at the end.
Nice graphics and I loved the mine sweeper aspect. :)
Maybe a different way to mine through rocks would be better instead of a long-hold.
That was very short. I'd love to see an expanded version of this.
This had a completely different "feel" compared to all the other games I've played (and by no means is that a bad thing) along with the art style. I liked it. :)
I really like the graphic style you used. It also has a nice mood, although the death sound was a bit abrupt.
Slick graphics and neat gameplay. Felt a lot different compared to other snake games which is a +.
Haha, now that was unexpected. I would love to see the continuation of this. :)
I think this is one of the best entries I've play so far gameplay-wise. Super slick and nice controls!
A simple and really slick game. :)
Not sure if it should be considered a game, but I'd love to see this more fleshed out, especially with your music mechanic.
This is really clever and fun. I'm not a big fan of these types of games, but it got me playing for a bit. :)
I really liked the title and ending screens. I just wish the game was a bit longer with more puzzle elements.
I like the smooth music. ;)
Rather than clicking, I think just hold-click would be a lot better for drilling.
Really cool game. It took me about 4 tries to get over 10k. The music is awesome too. :)
I only got to 6. It's really awesome being made in only 4 hours. :O
It's a really nice concept, but I wasn't a big fan of the voice-over. It ruined the mood and felt out of place. The recharge time also felt pretty long, and maybe the game would've been better without it.
But overall, it was a nice experience to play through. :)
This is a well executed snake puzzle platformer. Very fun and addictive, and I'm a sucker for hardcore games. :)
Solid game with slick gameplay.
Didn't expect a bullet-hell, but that's a + for me. :)
This was.. interesting. It certainly surprised me when the sound kicked in. It's got a bit of humor with the gruesome text. I liked it. :)
Those are some neat graphics, and has awesome music to boot. +style :)
Ok, smooth gameplay, and that music.. Insta-fav! :)
An ASCII game? Yes! :)
I really love the graphical style you used. It's very slick and smooth. I'm not sure what I was doing, but I was enjoying it! :)
This has nice pixelart and I liked how you could grab the ledge. It was pretty difficult with the low line-of-sight, but overall pretty good. :)
I wanted that gold!
Awesome game, and super polished! One of my favs, although short. :(
Neat idea! I enjoyed the fact that after completing a object it became slightly more difficult. :)
Haha, the ending. (I cheated) It seems like an ok game, although it was pretty repetitive.
Really nice! Reminds me of QWOP.
Haha, I didn't expect the goats to attack you with poo. Simple, but fun game.
Oooh
Haha, strange game, but super catchy music!
It has real nice mood and sound. Very polished too.
Really nice polish and graphics. Gameplay was smooth as well. Maybe you could make the "death" zone a bit lower to ease the difficulty, but overall really nice.
Pretty alright game. Took me a couple tries to realize that there were ledges hidden in the shadow.
Nice game. Although it would be a lot better to restart the room on death.
I'm wondering if there was any way beyond the red wall? Anyways, maybe a different key for "shoot" would've been better instead of mouse. Other than that, it's not bad. :)
Simple, but fun. and really cool concept.
Great concept, and really fun! At first I was collecting the triangles and avoiding the red until I read the rules. Odd choice, but it was something different. :)
The controls are a bit weird. It's an interesting game, and I could see this having tons of "trippy" stuff.
I really like this concept. I played it a lot longer than I thought I would.
Atleast you finished something. That's what LD is all about!
(The gibs was a nice touch!) :)
The anvil. *o*
Really cool mechanic. and pretty fun.
This was a really clever way to make a game. Really cool!
This was a pretty fun game. Nice entry!
It's an interesting concept. I'd like to see it more fleshed out.
Simple, but fun game for what it is. :)
So random and creepy at times, I like it! :)
Really nice! Movement was a bit weird, but it felt really solid as well.
This was really interesting, and it got that weird vibe with the mix of the music and graphics. I really liked this one. :)
I loved it. Very minimal and polished.
Controls could use a lot of work. It seems more for touch-based gaming, but it's an interesting and weird game. (In a good way). :)
Nice. I'll have to agree with the above, unless that wasn't your goal. Anyways, I did not expect a 2nd game, so that was interesting and not a bad game either. :)
Nice idea! I haven't thought of signal delays before. Simple fun too!
The jump sound was a bit obtrusive, and I believe on the 3rd level (0.1 delay) I hit the blue wall and died.
Woah, creepy. I especially loved that effect when you went into the room with the furnace.
Great game! Simple, but addictive. :)
Nice game, I love the graphics!
Nice graphics, and clever idea. I really enjoyed playing this!
Pretty cool. The sounds were a bit harsh, but it was pretty fun.
Nice graphics and polished as always! :)
Nice aesthetic and polish. I also loved the arrow indicators you got - it really helped.
I like the sounds the lumberjacks make. :)
Neat little game. It could really use a win/lose condition though - unless I'm missing it?
Not bad for the time frame. :)
It's simple, but works. Not bad.
This was awesome. I was hoping for a better ending, but the overall experience is great! It's interesting experimenting and figuring out all the fine details.
I think it would've been better to make the "clickbox" on the fish a bit bigger so catching is easier. Keep it up!
Simple little game. The ducks are cute. :)
I love the direction the game is going, but unfortunately the buggy/unresponsive controls ruin it.
Nice. I like the song. :)
The movement on the snowman felt nice, but was a bit weird with the double jumping/wall jump. Keep it up!
Would be interesting to see how it'll turn out as a full game.
Smooth gameplay and graphics. I really liked how you got around the theme.
@ceosol : Thanks for bringing it up. The book code works fine, but on the pocketwatch the roman numeral "I" is supposed to be 12, not 1. My mistake.
@ceosol - re:raiyumi : Actually I take back what I said about the clock. Rather, just look at it like a normal clock instead, and not be mislead by the roman numerals. :P
@alfadur : Thanks! It was really hard trying to come up with the puzzles in the short time frame when I had trouble getting the thing to work. But you gave me a really good idea for puzzle design. :)
@PapyPilgrim : Unfortunately, there's no walkthrough of the full game yet. :(
@Rick : Thanks!
@NicePenguins : I've uploaded it to soundcloud and you could DL it there.
https://soundcloud.com/raiyumi/raiyumi-ld31
Interesting concept for a text-based game. I like it!
I was hoping to see the town grow and populate in the space above, but anyways it's a nice game!
Great job, and I love the ASCII. I played for awhile. :)
Haha, really cute! Stop throwing tomatoes at me! I'm trying my best!
Interesting, although confusing. Keep it up!
Hehe, really nice. It has a really nice terminal and it got addicting constantly typing status. Overall, nice job!
Cool. It's difficult, but fun.
Interesting take on frogger, and the narration was nice.
Really nice graphics! Gameplay-wise it could use some work, but otherwise great job!
It took me a bit to figure out which key to start, but otherwise it's a nice and simple game.
I enjoyed playing it! It would be cool to have some sort of control over the units (even if not entirely) and have the game at a faster pace. But otherwise, great job!
Nice game and ending.
It's simple, but fun. :)
Congrats on your first finished game!
Hehe, nice 1 screen trick. :)
The controls could be abit simpler, but otherwise nice job! Too bad I don't have a 2nd player. :(
Cool retro graphics and music.
Not bad. The recoil is strange, and it could use some sfx and maybe screenshake. Also when hitting the "Settings" or "About" there's no back button.
Slick and smooth gameplay. Could easily see this on mobile.
Not bad. Simple, but gets the job done. Nice job.
I'd love to see more questions, but otherwise great job!
Interesting concept. It was confusing switching between foreground and background, but keep it up!
I like the art style. The attacking/movement could use some work though.
Really nice! Like others have said - it would be awesome to see some Proc-gen, but I liked the touch with the added snowman. :)
Woah, great graphics and solid controls/movement.
The level design could use some work however. (pixel perfect jumping with the 3 blocking snowmen/spikes) and I've only found 1 area where the attack is pretty much forced. But otherwise it's really impressive!
I love the art. Is this yaoi? They look more like girls to me. :P Anyways, great nontheless.
The controls/physics could use some tweaking. Other than that, it's a nice and fun game!
Nice entry! Solid gameplay and really polished.
Really interesting game. The youtube tutorial really helped out, but it could really use an in-game tutorial.
Neat game! It was satisfying smacking the ball into the enemies. It would be cool to see a combo feature.
Interesting game.. I wasn't sure how to place down diamond extractors, and you could exploit strafing so you don't waste jetpack fuel, but overall nice job!
I love it! The controls were a bit weird at first, but it wasn't too hard to get the hang of. Anyways, great job!
Great atmosphere and lovely music!
Not bad, the controls took a bit time to get used to, but afterwards it became a nice challenge.
Lovely artstyle and the music fits well.
I would have liked more control over the sword especially when it was around you and the sounds were a bit harsh. But overall it has gorgeous graphics and it was fun!
Graphics were awesome. The character is a bit too small for my taste, but it was fun exploring the place.
Was fun for a few minutes and the card flip animation was nice. Nice job! It would be nice to see some sort of challenge/obstacle (timer) like said above.
Simple, but got a laugh with the different artstyles/randomness. Nice job.
Not bad.. but it should really have a restart button on there.
Nice! Won't be able to test it out with 4 players, but it looks fun.
lol.. well it's really basic and short.. but I liked the way his arms went up during a jump.
I love it! The main character reminds me a lot of Juni from Knytt Stories.
Not bad. The shooting sound was a little too harsh for me, but otherwise nice job.
Managed to get 83. I really love the design, feel, and music in the game!
I had a blast playing it. I must've been really lucky since the game felt way too easy for me.
The only other thing I would add is after collecting the map -> darken the rooms that you haven't been to. Otherwise, great job!
This looks really interesting, but I'm failing to understand how it works.
This is sooo good! Fun game and really polished. It's really awesome that you've also added a CPU. :)
Really cute music and graphics! My only gripe is the Z+X controls, especially when trying to throw. (I got stuck on that for a few mins).
Anyways, great job!
Pretty cool. Platforming is pretty solid as well. Nice job!
This was pretty fun! Nice job!
That intro is soo good. The graphics and music are top-notch and the melee is really satisfying! :o
Really nice graphics and proc. gen! The health of some of the enemies could definitely be shortened so it's less tedious spamming the attack. I'd love to see this as a full game!
Nice! :)
This was pretty fun and really addictive. I've only managed to catch $300 worth of unicorns. :(
A nice pocket sized game.
I think mouse controls would suit this a lot better, but overall nice job! :)
@Avant-Marde
Thanks! I used Stencyl and GraphicsGale to make it.
We did have a weapon idea of throwing food(ramen) at enemies to make them grow bigger, but we couldn't flesh out the idea enough during the jam. So, in a last day stretch I gutted the idea and switched it out with throwable crayons. (Fun fact: Residue from the prev. mechanic. Throw crayons at the pig enough times and they'll eat it, bloat, and die.) :)
Hey everyone, thanks! I'm working on a free mobile version of this game for android!
@VDZ - I'm not sure, you could try asking potato or check soundcloud. (https://soundcloud.com/potato-tan)
You always make the best audio-visual games in LD. =)
I'm not sure how "An Unconventional Weapon" works in this, but it was a really beautiful experience!
Really cool visuals! The sound could be quite annoying, but nonetheless, great job!
Really cool idea! I'd love to see this as an actual game. Also, that music was rocking hard! Great job!
Superb pixelart! Awesome game!
Woah, that's awesome! Solid platforming as well. I love the camera panning and zooms, it's lovely!
Really cool game. I love the graphics! It's a bit short, and really forgiving, but overall nice!
Pretty hectic game! I wasn't sure what was going on.
There was quite a few collision bugs and audio was a tad repetitive, but it was interesting!
Neat game. The gravity is pretty harsh, but it was pretty fun!
Really fun game, solid controls, and I love that lighting effect!
I like the paper style! It would be quite amazing if you added some knockback and impact effects. Overall, nice job!
Cool game! I liked the yoyo-mechanic. The graphics are nice too! My only gripe is that the gameplay is pretty slow and the character is really floaty.
Re^ above - Or it might be my computer I'm playing is quite slow. Too bad there's no edit button.
Woah, this got some really funky lighting effects.. but that's not a bad thing at all! :)
I seem to get errors once I enter the doors.
Nice game! It was confusing a bit using down as the attack. I'm so use to using down for aiming as opposed to doing the attacking. Overall, nice job!
It reminds me of OFF. It took me fair bit of grinding to progress, but overall, nice job!
(I'm not sure if the save points are working or how to activate them besides walking on them. I walked on the savepoint in the room after the first SWAT guy, and it seems like it didn't trigger.)
Really neat puzzle game! I liked the text dialogue. :)
It took a few tries to figure out what to do after the entering the password. ugh.. and it was so simple.
Oh man! That was hard. I don't know why everyone is out to kill me. But anyways, nice job!
There's quite a bit of RNG involved, so I couldn't get far, but I'm interested in seeing what the ending would be like.
Great representation of the life of your daily worker. :P
Gameplay is pretty basic and could use some work, especially with exploiting gameplay to farm coins and pixel precision catching, but overall, not bad!
Also, nice music! :)
Really cute game and graphics! I'm not sure if there's any ending, is there?
A really fun rhythm game with fantastic graphics and music! I love it!
The collisions could use a lot of work and that end goal sound was ear piercing. Anyways, not bad!
Not bad. The game has quite a bit of lag and the hp/ammo could be balanced. Anyways, I like the cute graphics and audio. :)
Oh boy, it got hardcore at level 2. This was really fun and I love that subtle screenshake on land!
I didn't expect a boss either, so that was really nice. Great job!
Neat little game, although SFX did get annoying after awhile. The time to shoot bullets is a tad tedious waiting for it shoot, but overall, good job!
Haha, nice job!
Pretty cool. The controls were slick. The yelling ability doesn't seem to do much, but it could be really interesting if expanded upon.
Not bad. The game was pretty basic, but that shark animation was lovely. :)
Awesome game! It's the best one I've played so far!
The graphics, audio, gameplay, and idea are all top-notch.
Great audio and mood! I really love the aesthetic!
It's a nice interactive experience!
After playing the first few screens I thought they were all supporting hitler or something, haha. But after a bit it started coming together. I'm assuming after I made a friend all those kids spread rumors about me to make him/her hate me.
Overall, nice job!
I really like the idea! I love it!
Really cool game and nice art. There's lots of levels and power-ups as well! I could definitely see this as a full web game.
Some gripes I have is that:
> Some of the power-ups should be incorporated into the player rather than having to switch to the fish to use it. (IE: time bomb and pufferfish.)
> Once you reach the 3rd pond, the timing required to catch the fish is a tad ridiculous.
Anyways, great job! I had fun playing it. :)
Really cool!
This game definitely needs some ambient sounds. The rooftop stumped me for a bit until I read the directions.. but even then I thought you meant just run off the edge and press the up key mid-air, not push it once I touched the other ledge. :P
Anyways, I'd love to see the story continue!
Pretty cool entry! I really like the dual texting idea.
The ship felt really solid. Awesome stuff, loved the concept. :)
It's a fun little game! :)
It gives a nice challenge trying to find the best efficient path.
Pretty cool. I love games that have rhythm mechanics!
My only qualms is that it takes awhile to get up to speed and when you do, it's really hard to avoid objects. Anyways, great job!
Best game LD36? :)
Woah, this is really clever! :)
I really like the TCG mechanics.. could see this expanding a lot! Gameplay flows well.
Some other things I wasn't sure about was the card select/discard at the end of the level, anyways nice work! :)
Really polished game! Played for a bit.. think I got to around level 40 or so, is there an end? Besides that, awesome entry. :)
Really enjoy the mood and chill music.. although I wouldn't really consider this a game(no win/lose), it would be fun to play an expanded version of this! :)
Really fun entry and awesome graphics! Loved the small touch of glass cracking while flying near it.
Quite simple, but also fun! The puzzle mechanic was pretty interesting. Nice job!
Unfortunate there's no AI to play against and had noone with me, but this has some amazing polish! :)
Ok, I think this is the first game I've played that truly fits the theme "incompatible genre". Some things to note is that the tile grid shows up. Anyways, nice job on the entry.
One of the best entries thus far. Awesome work guys! :)
Gameplay is just trial and error, but besides that, I love the innovation and mix of genres here. :)
Awesome job! Graphics very simple, but everything comes together nicely. I'm a sucker for rhythm games and this was really fun and music is on point. Just wish there was some feedback to see what missing hearts/arrows affect. Did manage to snag 3 dates though, haha!
Would love to see this expanded upon.
It's really cool to see a visual novel mix. My only gripe is it takes awhile to actually get any choices. Besides that, nice job!
Really love the graphics! Also adding the boss is a really nice touch!
Really addictive! ALmost beat it, but stopped dead with a critical(thought I could take it). Anyways, awesome job!
Really love the stunning graphics and storyline here.
As for gripes, it felt a little confusing where to attack the enemy base since it wasn't marked, so I spent awhile just putting them in the space area until I realized some 'locked on' the base, also it was abit too easy just spamming units.
Anyways, amazing work here! :)
Top notch entry! Solid graphics/music/gameplay. It did feel a bit off-beat somewhat and some of the earlier levels were quite long. But besides that, this is 1 of the most polished I've seen! :)
I like the concept, could see this expanding. Unfortunate that it's not finished.. I'm wondering if that's why level 2 you can't move the characters? Anyways, nice job!
This is really fun! Great graphics, smooth gameplay, and music. I liked the deck building aspect too. :) A bug I found is while collecting cards from the box, 2 of them became permanently stuck onscreen in the middle, besides that.. also mouse sensitivity was insanely high, anyways.. awesome entry!
This has some lovely graphics and nice sounds. Gameplay is quite polished as well. Wish it saved progress and I'm not sure if this would be considered a 'farming-simulator', but nice job nonetheless! :)
Very fun puzzle game. Would be awesome to see more of this. Also top notch polish! :)
Has a really cute aesthetic and effective gameplay. Really well done, especially for 12 hours. :)
Nice oregon-trail like game. It would be nice to have some way to make money, perhaps selling goods and such or doing an odd job and a better hunting mechanic rather than just standing still shooting in a set directions. Anyways, nice work!
Metroidvania style is really nice and makes the game a lot more interesting. Graphics are quite lovely too!
I really like the 3D/2D mashup.. also the grow mechanic sort've reminded me of plants v. zombies. Solid entry. :)
I really love the concept of this. Quite simple, but fun. Although there are some rooms with flying enemies that are near impossible unless you get really lucky. Anyways, great job!
Was expecting an entirely different game.. also was expecting some monster jump scares, but maybe I answered the questions correctly it didn't do anything. Anyways, neat mix of genres.. it got me to play till the end! :)
Really polished game! Music/Sound is pretty good as well, nothing that sounds out of place/too loud. One gripe I had is that sometimes I would die without reason.. I'm not sure if that's intended or a bug. Anyways, nice job!
Really cute and fun game! Also quite morbid, haha.
@cmlsc Thanks! Yeah, definitely. Also the last 3 weapons have some 'projectile' attacks to make combat more interesting.. although, I probably should've done something for the hammerhead. Anyways, thanks for playing!
@spacemonkey @prodigalson Thanks! Glad you enjoy it!
@hermeses Thanks, will have to go back and fix that. I think that's the only enemy with no collisions on death.
@travis-w-hendrix I thought about the loot still selling, but wasn't sure.. actually I had an idea where you hire a worker so you can sell stuff outside.. but unfortunately no time.
@ithildin Haha, yeah. Thanks. Never heard of Nongünz, I'll have to check it out.
@fil089 Thanks for the feedback. Game definitely could use more gameplay elements such as dash/npc buddies/powers/etc. and also wanted to do random generation within each room instead of just choosing a random room.. but not as familiar with that currently.
@random-storykeeper Awesome to hear. Glad the music is good.. actually got quite lucky since half the time my music sounds bad, haha.
Also yep, the dungeon creation isn't entirely 'random', but just choosing 2-3 rooms based on which room you're on(IE: you play 2 'level 1' rooms and next 2 'level 2 rooms'.. and later on it gets abit more varied. Unfortunately wasn't able to do 'proper' random generation in the time I had.
@tifu Thanks. Yep.. the deflect projectile thing is actually a bug, haha. Awesome that you beat the game though. Will be working on a slight post-jam update to add a bit more variety and weapon/loot fixes, and dash upgrade.
@automatonvx Thanks. The bones is the loot you collect and you can go back to the home hub to sell it at the stall.
@mikeliosus Glad you liked it! Also, awesome that you beat the game. :)
@alejandrodecea Thanks! Yeah, I've made all the assets here. Will take all of those in consideration. The mage wand was supposed to be stronger, but didn't find out till last minute. And also 'Slayer' has a bullet reflect 'bug', haha.
Really nice game and good music! Would be great if it had some feedback for the button presses.
Really solid game! Nice music and gameplay flows really nicely. My only gripe was that it was too short and the moving blocks were a bit weird.. but glad they auto push when you lightly tap it, made it much easier.
Really simple, but effective. Nice twist on pong! :)
Really easy to play and love the concept, although the downside is that it's heavily luck-based. PS: Would be nice to have a skip button for the credits.. I pressed on that first, haha.
Have yet to see a dress-up game, and it's really well done with the battle system. It was quite fun, I really enjoyed this! :)
Missing theme and could use some more UI for cost and such, but otherwise nice job! :)
Nice mechanic and theme. I think it would be a bit better if the hands played against the boss heads-up, but besides that, it was pretty fun. Nice graphics too.
This was pretty funny, love the aesthetics. :)
I really like the graphical style and some of the camera work with the crystal. Although the controls were quite confusing, and I think I completely skipped the first part and had no idea you can 'tab' to switch characters(found out through a comment). Anyways, nice entry! :)
Quite a few bugs especially the big ramp(gets stuck halfway going up), but loving the idea and graphics! :)
Nice job! I've managed to get 3 of the objectives and beat the game, although during playing I got a bug where the wait option was unresponsive and ended up getting -150 hunger.. maybe because I kept clicking the option.
Anyways, it's a nice little game! :)
Nice graphics and simple gameplay.
It'd be nice to have some sort of punishment for pressing the wrong keys such as have the pattern reset since you can spam all the arrows, also it seems like the music/sound doesn't work on the WebGL version.
Anyways, nice entry. :)
