HARD! But hilarious death messages.
5* for just the name. :)
This is pretty fun, I played it for awhile--although it seems the only 10 second element is picking up 10 second time pickups? After awhile I had almost 2 minutes on the clock. I like the arrow trajectories and the maps are tricky!
Why would I ever not want to run? After all--I've got TEN SECONDS TO SELF DESTRUCT!!! :)
Great little game. Music is kind of hilariously dramatic.
5* for the graphics, of course. Screen shake FTW! :)
This is a pretty good game! I dig the retro style. Great use of ImpactJS. I wonder how it would perform on mobile?
Pretty neat idea--this was similar to an idea I had before I decided to do a thruster game.
SUPER HARD! :)
Pretty cool trimmed down RTS.
Hah--GREAT idea! It kinda-sorta reminds me of a dungeon hack version of Half Minute Hero (except with 10 seconds!)
Hilarious. I wish I had a jet pack to get to school back in the day.
Not quite sure how the 10 seconds theme relates? I saw a 10 second timer at some point on the left, but I'm not sure why or how it came up. Otherwise, it is a fully functional match-3 game!
I kind of keep falling out of the level.
I know it's a bug, but I think the fact that the game runs in basically a tiny banner ad is kind of hilarious. 5* graphics just for that fact alone. :) Making games microscopic makes them much more challenging! :)
TOTAL CHAOS! :)
Love the art style!
I feel like such a failure for not being able to clean the entire room. :)
Same title as mine, great minds think alike! :)
Can't wait for the YEAR 3000!
Still a few more hours to go. I'll probably add some polish.
Oops, yeah U,D,L,R means Up, Down, Left, Right arrow keys. I should have just said arrow keys.
Thanks for the comments! If I fix that Windows bug I'll probably just put up a separate link since I'm not sure it's allowed.
Yeah if you don't go to the next level, let me know what OS/Browser you are using. As far as I know, it works on all OSX browsers, but this bug always happens on Windows. (Which is weird since it's Unity!!)
Yeah I totally should have used a block sprite for the thruster particles.
Wow, Unity tech support is fast--they found the bug. I guess the collision normals are inconsistent between Windows and OSX. I'll probably put up a link to a fixed version once I figure out a different way to detect landings.
Yeah if you are able to get to the next levels, basically they sort of raise in difficulty by putting more obstacles in the center of the path, and less time boost capsules. I had plans for moving enemies and other obstacles as well.
Yeah I might fix the bug today, I know what it is now. I'll probably put up a 2nd link with the fixed version, so that purists can consider the submitted one, but others might want to use the bug-fixed version.
OK--so I have put a link to the FIXED version for Windows (well it works on Windows and OSX).
It turns out, the normals you get back from collisions not only are inaccurate, but inconsistent between platforms. So instead I'm using the position of the collision points to detect landing.
I took the collision volume off of the endzone object which also makes the in-game music louder. There's a sound source at the end that gets louder as you get closer. When I added the last minute hack (a box collider) around it, for some reason it made the music super quiet.
So I'm not sure if this is breaking the rules or not, hence I've kept both versions up. The WEB version is the original and FIXED WEB has the landing fix. Thanks!
Yeah I love your sprite generator!!!! I could suggest a few improvements, but it's really awesome.
Might as well list some improvements here:
* Ability to specify size of the sprites/tiles
* Ability to specify hue range of tiles (like, I want a bunch of green-ish ones)
* Ability to specify naming convention. Like ForestTile-X.png and then X ends up being the tile number or something.
I LOVED Work Time Fun! My favorite was "Let's Protest!" which was kind of ripped off on the PS3 with "The Last Guy."
Wow--real-time multipalyer in a weekend. I dig it.
The graphics remind me of old Spectrum games, I dig it!
You finished a game, plus it has a duck--that's worth a few points.
Decathalon + Punch Out = awesome
Wow, SUPER polished for 48 hours.
Definitely one of the stronger story-based entries.
Dig the music!
Did you record the synthesized voices? Or is there some way in Unity to dynamically produce synthesized voice?!
GENIUS!
Like them music and graphics--seems like you can hang the game by mashing keys a bit. (Well at least get the character stuck)
Brilliant!
GREAT graphics!!
WOW?!?!!?!? This is amazing. Really neat mechanics too--practically ready to be shipped as a commercial game.
Love the graphics! But needs a clock!
The game of life is kind of relentless--regardless of your input, life goes on! :)
Definitely original!
Like a SUPER FRANTIC FTL. :)
Love the music.
Wow, really polished! I love the music too.
Wow--we need a 1 hour game jam. :)
Super fun and polished. Love the sound!
I dig the frantic microscopic gameplay. :)
