Wow. Amazing game.

Wow. Amazing game.
The NPC is standing on a random spot. Press T to teleport to him!:) Press T again to teleport to some water if you want to try digging water canals!:)
Oh, and there's only one NPC. (Not sure if you thought there was more than one because of the whole "..other NPC.."!:))
@blob, sorry no - chopping trees doesnt do anything:/ Didn't have time to implement that (or I would've had but school caught up on me during the last day).
@netguy204
Oh, that sucks:o What kind of flickering? Did anyone else have similar problems?
Wow, I really liked this one! Good and simple idea for a game!
Good gameplay-feeling!
I like it! Just like last year! Good job!
Woha, loads of people seem to struggle with the spikes early on!
The best tip I can give is to freeze the game and watch how the spikes move(assuming the trouble is with the vertical-horizontal combo spikes. It's really quite easy!)! All of our test subjects have been able to complete the game and enjoy the ending in 10-15minutes!
The character's slow and clumsy?:o I would love to hear more about this.. It should be very responsive? Did you play the html5 version of the game? (I heard it laggs on some old computers in firefox, but works fine in chrome)
Gameplay was done in a day, so yeah it hasnt been playtested too much:p
Very cool game! Impressive to do such a cool game with only simple shapes!
Very cool game! Well polished and fun!:)
Cool idea! I just disliked that if you slide ~1 frame above the ground you still get it by enemies that are one tile above ground:< Happend so many times:(
Would've wanted some time limitation or score-system for a game like this. You just can't fail the objective it seems?
Wow, that looked awesome! It crashes for me after the 3d teleportation aswell though:(
Wow! Stressing game! Very simple yet challenging mecahnic!
Think I might've found a bug. If you place a black block in the very tile you're standing - you will teleport to ontop of it. This meant that for potatolevel I could just go stand at the edge, build a huge tower on top of me and teleport up to the potato! Cool game, nonetheless! I enjoyed it!
Pretty fun game! But I agree with TeamEagle that it should relly get harder!
Wow, I loved this game! Very cool! Played it through and enjoyed every minute!:)
Pretty neat game! Not sure if I completed it or not though?
I pressed R to reset a map, but it turns out that removed all the shadow:( Either way, simple game, kept me playing through most of the levels!:)
Cool game, I think! A bit too slow gameplay for my liking though:(
I like the game! Simple and good puzzles!
I didn't quite like the whole "going fully white"-part:( There were times when I would crash into a block that had not yet been visible:(
Not sure if the resource-meter is bugged or if Im just not understanding it? It kept saying "0", yet I could buy loads of soliders..
Pretty fun game! Difficulty was very non-consistent though:p
Reminded me so much about a game I used to play as a kid! I love nostalgia!
I love how you managed to make fighting animations with 3-4 pixels! Game was quite easy, but very cool!
Very cool idea! Really liked it!
Very minimalistic indeed! Good job on the idea and execution of it!:)
Controls felt a bit, but it seemed pretty neat anyway!
a bit wierd*
Awesome game!
The controls of the axe seemed quite buggy:( Often found myself not being able to cut down trees:<
I like the idea, but it doesn't play very well yet unfortunatly:(
Interesting game! Took a while to figure out I could destroy the webs though:(
Very nice overall mood and feeling. Everything fits good together!
Very nice feeling, but honestly I felt like the game was a bit too long. Either way, beautiful dialog and feeling!
Nice style and gameplay! I enjoyed it!
For the first level though, it said I needed to kill a wolf but there were no wolfs to be found - and I completed the level without killing one! Anyway the other levels I played worked as expected, so I'm just assuming the requirement was just you guys forgetting to fix the text! Anyway, good job for your first entry!:)
Pretty fun game! I would've wished for more levels though!
Hi Jiggawatt! The game lags when played in firefox, and there's unfortunately not much we can do about that. Try downloading the jar or running the html5 version in chrome(as suggested in the description)!
As for the slow building of levels, that is fully intentional! We tried to visualize how the level is being sketched - and if you have sound enabled you should be able to hear that!:)
Took me a while to figure out what to do(somehow I didnt see the conversation at the start, maybe I picked a troll too early?), especially after the queen somehow managed to jump the entire ledge without a ladder the first time:p But the graphics are neat and the mood is good!
The game has some potential! But I found myself getting anoyed by the jumping mechanic all the time:7 Too much gravity!
Stunning graphics and music! I very much enjoyed the mood of this game! Too bad about the lack of game play, loads of potential in here!
Kept getting "OR-chips" at the end every round, just cut the input to those and kept passing the levels:/ With some more level variation I think it could be a pretty cool game, maybe for touchscreens?:)
Very interesting mechanic / gameplay! Good job!
I laughed all the way through the game!:D Might not be the most technically advanced game but honestly I think its the funniest game I've played so far!:D
I felt like the map was a bit too large, and I would've really liked a minimap! Also felt like the game got a little messy, but I think the concept is pretty neat and with some polishing I think this could make for a pretty decent time waster on mobile devices?:) (I see you're using java, so check out libGDX for mobile deployment!)
The game kind of lagged for me(Using firefox and windows 8, by the way), which was a bummer because I usually enjoy these kinds of games!
I like the graphics! I just wish there'd been more levels, and I kind of wish moving sideways would be a bit more responsive:/ Nevertheless, great job!:)
Im not sure if Im doing something wrong, but whenever I rightclick I brought up a unity-menu:/ I wish I couldve avoided that! Also, might want to capture mouse for a game where mousemovement is so crucial, I kept losing track of where my mouse was and found myself clicking outside the actual game-window:/
The game has a nice mood to it! I wish I had found my wife at the end though.. Maybe I missed something:/ But like I said, you definitly made me feel something while playing the game - which is rare in a ludum dare game!
Collision detection seemed a bit of? And is there only two levels, or was it a bug that no matter how many times I completed level 2 it seemed I could not advance?:< Anyway I like the art, which seems to have been your highest focus, so good job on that!
The visuals are very nice and smooth, but it lacks some gameplay! I had trouble getting hit by orbs even when I wanted to see what happend..
Decent game! Could've used some more action to it though! Grats on, and good job, implementing successful pathfinding!:)
Pretty cute game somehow! And good job on logic implementation!
One of very few games I've found hard during this LD! (Not saying thats a bad thing, most games are too easy:p)
I was never under any real time pressure, and the time between a level being completed and the next one starting was longer than the actual playingtime.. I think I spent half the time waiting and half the time playing for the first ~15 levels:/ The game has potential to be a good time-killer, maybe on mobile devices? Would've liked less waiting and more action to keep me from getting a bit bored!
Good to see more libGDX games using GWT web version! Your submission even worked perfecly fine in firefox! My highest score was somewhere around 22k!:)
Interesting and fun approach to the theme!:)
Great reference to the movie!:D I wouldn't have enjoyed the game nearly as much as I did without it!
I wish I had someone to play versus! (Assuming the connected other players were just bots or something, they didnt seem to move:p) but I quite liked the overall style and feel! Good job!:)
I like it! I don't agree with Morgawr from your comments at all, the graphics were better than most games I've played so far.. I really enjoyed jumping around and killing enemies for quite some time, but unfortunately it got a bit old after 900+ kills and almost a minute of time:7 Anyway, good job!
The sound sounded somewhat broken to me? Like a strong buzzing killing my ears while the music was playing.. had to turn it down:7 Plus points for humor anyway!:D
I would've wanted some more depth to the game, possibly random level generation or more levels! Anyway, took me quite a few tries to beat the game - so you did a good job balancing the level!:)
Good idea and mechanic! Unfortunately for me, the saw's kind of killed my ears:(
I could swear I've already rated and commented this game, but apparently not? Anyway, I really enjoy the gameplay and graphics! Its a simple game but its really quite fun and definitly a good time-killer! Good job!
Quite a nice little game! I think this would make for an awesome time-killer on mobile devices! Great job!
Very neat concept! I wish the tutorial text was a bit more friendly to my eyes, but I quickly forgot about that once I got to play the game! Great job!
Awesome visuals, and cool mechanic! Fits the theme well!
Surprisingly fun! I managed to play until level 19 but at that point it was damn messy! Well done!:D
Interesting concept! I'm sure this could make for a great puzzle game with some more polish!
It quickly got a bit messy, lost track of my ship multiple times - and the bouncing when trying to go outside screen felt abit strange, would've rather seen that the sides looped into each others like in many other similar games! Anyway, you definitly succeeded in adding "particle effects all over the place", so good job on that!:D Always fun to try other libgdx games!:)
I wish I had someone to play it with! Singleplayer got a bit repetative, but the controls felt great and Im sure it would've been fun to compete with someone!
I think this is my favorite game so far! Very well done! Beautiful game, with loads of potential! (Sketchbook-games rocks, right?:D)
The game has some smooth animations and a nice feeling to it! Good job!:)
Hah! Funny concept! Wasn't able to get an A, but I still quite enjoyed it! Glad to find another libgdx game using GWT!
Not sure why people seem to think it was too hard! Maybe I got lucky with some random seed but I beat the game at my second try!:D Never the less, I like the feeling of the game and it played smoothly!
Like the others, I took think this would've made for a good mobile game! Well done, and good luck!
Great twist for a platformer! I enjoyed it!
Looks simple but its really quite fun! :) Couldnt stop until I'd completed it!:)
I wish there'd be more hints! Didn't come up with much except boat and pillow:7
The game looks stunning at times, I just wish it wasn't so slow!
I think the idea is pretty cool, but I believe it would be very hard to create good and interesting maps. I managed to complete two different puzzles before it got bugged (i think?) and the last one didn't solvable. Too bad it isn't finished!
Smooth gameplay! Were the levels randomly generated? I felt like sometimes I didn't have enough time to complete the levels even though I felt like I played it "perfect" (didn't get hit by anything etc). Maybe I just wasn't fast enough though, hard to say when I didn't get to play the same level many times in a row:p
As a reply to your comment on our game, I'll talk to my team about sharing the source code to our game! If we decide to, we will be notifying people via our website and our twitter account!:) Thanks, and good luck in the future!:)
Never noticed how slow my scroll wheel is.. Had to change mouse:| kept going until I hit night time (? everytime faded to black atleast:p) but the boat never came :(
I like the idea and the way the fish respondes to input!
Didn't quite like shooting with X and moving with WASD, but worked cool when I moved with WASD and shot with enter.
Wouldve liked it more if the chests were upgrades rather than just a random weapon I think! Progression is always fun!
Simple, but interesting! I like the small details of the red/blue flags(?) following you and the sword!
Highscore!:D Failed it on my first attempt though!:( Dug the music!
Awesome stuff, as usual. Love the idea and it plays very nice! Didn't reach the end though, better try again! (Also it didn't run in firefox for me:()
Does th egame end after killing the first worm? I ran around for a while but couldnt find another:(
It seemed quite easy, I wouldve liked an increasing difficulty with harder, bigger and badder worms spawning for a while!
Best take on the theme so far! Nice job! Also, god how I hate them boats.
Pretty cool tech, but could've used some actual gameplay:p Extra points for your approach on the theme!
Quite nice, but I think I would've enjoyed it better if it got harder faster! More alienfishes!:D I liked the music too, even though I had to turn my volume up to max just to hear it:7
Great concept and nice graphics! Good job!
Awesome! I'm not sure exactly what it is about this game that I like so much, but there's something thats for sure!:) (Beat the game in 6days 22hours)
Simple but quite neat game! Though I didn't quite like the sound when colliding:p
Has a very nice touch to it, and its surprisingly fun! Good job!
Had to read the comments to figure out the music wasn't broken, good thing I went back though cause the music's awesome!=) Felt like it was a bit too easy though, couldn't lose until I decided to see what happend if I stoped playing:7
Very smart idea for a puzzle game! I liked it!:)
I wish more platformers had this mechanic! So much nicer than starting over! Good job!:D
Good job! Upgrades are always fun!:D I wish I could've held mousebutton rather than spam it to drill though.
Very nice idea! I think you should keep working on this one!
Good job, I like getting to play the monster and eat humans!:D Refreshing change from all the 'you're a fish' or 'there's a monster below' games Ive seen so far!:p
Lagged pretty bad in firefox, might want to put a note and suggest people use Chrome (in which it worked fine)! Other than that I think it was pretty fun, but the collision seemed a bit glitchy and I often found myself stuck:(
Very cute game! A bit anoying to have to start from the beginning each time I died though:(
I loved the initial text where the radio speakers said 'it looks like someone's stopping all the time on the main road' or something similar - extra humor points for details like that!:D
Wow. Beautiful game! Probably the most visually pleasing game I have rated so far!=) I wish I didn't have to start all the way over when I died though:(
Extra points for humor, thats for sure!:D A bit lacking in gameplay though, but somehow still enjoyable.. Made it to a combo of 550+ before I got overrun by them crazy women!
Neat gameplay, especially for such a simple game! Good job on the idea and execution!
Seems like there's a bit of gameplay missing, I think the idea is good but I would've expected more challanging puzzles somehow. Not sure if that could be done with the current mechanics though:7
Nice idea, but it seems like the character sometimes randomly changed direction and killed himself when ascending from stairs:(
Wow, this is actually very cool and smart! Good job on both the idea and the execution!
I think its a cool game but the jump mechanic could need some more work. Quite often I found myself jumping over an entire platform and landing inbetween that and the next one.
Love the music! =)
Somehow it instantly got me thinking about Jaws from Golden Eye, the old n64 James Bond game! Unfortunately quite lacking in gameplay imo:(
Pretty fun actually! I think I liked the Virus mode best! Good job!:)
Having the same trouble as described in some other comments, after I got that drink I couldn't do much! Enjoyed the dialog while it lasted though!
Very nice graphics. I didn't quite like the controls for a start, but once I got used to it they didn't bother me any more! Game was very easy though, and could've used some more gameplay!
Nice graphics and very fitting music!
