LD26 — Minimalism

Fight The Minimalism by Cyboot 2013-05-20T20:34:00

Haha! I had planned to make a game similar to this but with fancy graphical effects and things that would be impossible in 48 hours.

Congratulations on the great job! Level design was lacking a bit though, bbut that is all right.

HELPME_ by Sestren 2013-04-30T00:53:00

Hahaha! I loved this. That is all I have to say. I think I got an score around 70.

HELPME_ by Sestren 2013-05-01T02:37:00

I'm kinda disappointed the konami code does not work! x3

The Only Winning Move Is Not To Play by csanyk 2013-05-19T06:46:00

I opened the link and it was a blank square, and after a few seconds it displayed 'You Win.'

Yay!

Somniphobia by Topaz 2013-05-01T06:17:00

Heeey, another Python dev! Also, thank you for commenting on my game! :3

Onto the game. I know the theme was minimalism but I think the story lacked context. What is the meaning of the place she dreams about, why does she dreams of those monsters?

The music is very fitting and the artwork is great for having such a short time. The gameplay is lacking though, you could have made the puzzles less obvious, at least. Regardless, good job on making a game!

Equilibrium by Devon 2013-05-16T05:56:00

The game has been removed, says Gamejolt. Oh well, if you get it up, post on my page and I'll check it out :3

Super 1-Bit Space Arena by Orni 2013-05-20T21:25:00

Whoa. Those graphics <3 This game is amazing and really fun. Got a high score of 46.

This is a fantastic entry. Congratulations!

Stargazers by Cake&Code 2013-05-16T05:18:00

First of all, thank you so much for commenting on my game <3 I have continued work on it, will be posting updates soon :3

I love the references. (Finn <3 And I've been watching Harry Potter again!) The artwork is great, the music is greater. The gameplay feels a little too... 'sniper-y', which I do play a lot of in Team Fortress 2 :P

The accuracy metre is a little off. In killer, I only made a triangle and I got 31% accuracy. Only thing that needs work, And maybe increase the resolution.

Gods Will Be Watching by Deconstructeam 2013-05-19T04:52:00

I went from loving this game to starting to dislike it...

The soldier, the doctor, the psychiatrist and the engineer became mad even though their psychoanalisis was 5, 4, 4, 5, which is higher than it has been most of the time. Ten days in, my food count was 18, I had 20 bullets (why do they increase when you kill somebody?), I had fixed over a half of the radio and I was ready for some group therapy the next day, then they all run away. This was like my fifth time around.

While on one hand, yes, it is perfectly possible in the real world for your entire team will go mad even if they seem to be fine, and in the real world you can't control what will happen next, losing out of nowhere feels pretty disheartening. Randomness is generally bad in games :P

The art I love, the music... I didn't rate the music. It is great, when I get to hear it. I assume it is my browser, but it cuts off, it lags and it suddenly stops playing. I use Maxthon on Win7 64bit.

Finally, using the keyboard you can kill someone over and over again. Which is kind of silly and can be abused :P

Car Lancers by jwolf 2013-04-30T00:44:00

Didn't vote on fun because I don't have anybody to play it with :C Also, it is kind of hard to distinguish a win. I kept the two tanks straight and the top tank exploded, but it gave a point to that one. I think.

I love the idea, the graphics and the audio, though, and this is indeed the best game about rocket-propelled, nuclear-armed, automotive jousting.

Twinimalism by TenTonToon 2013-05-01T07:21:00

Posting here so you get to see it:
Thank you for the screenshot! It was really helpful.

Most of the traceback is the freezing utility, which makes it so that you can run the script outside of my computer without installing Python. The important bit is at the bottom: OpenGL can't create a context. What graphics card are you using? What version of Windows are you running? Do you have the latest drivers? I'll look for bug reports with your problem, see if I find any solutions. Thank you for reporting the problem! :3

I'll play your game after some sleep!

Twinimalism by TenTonToon 2013-05-01T20:45:00

I think I've fixed the problem, if you want to go ahead and try playing my game again! :D

And as I promised, I'll play your game when I have some time!

Twinimalism by TenTonToon 2013-05-02T00:37:00

First of all: Thank you for commenting on my game! :3

Also, I defeated your highscore <3
http://i.imgur.com/Kg97Vim.jpg

It's a very innovative and good looking game, not much else to say (mostly because I'm sleepy). I wanted to make a one button entry but I couldn't think of anything interesting, so kudos to you!

Brushman by Digital Apathy by notepid 2013-05-18T03:21:00

I love it. It is charming :3

You should change W and up arrow key to jump. Other than that, it is a charming, fun little game that I wish were longer. ^^

Congrats on making a game for the LD!

0 by Cosmologicon 2013-05-04T01:55:00

First of all: Thank you for commenting on my game! :D

Onto the game itself:
I finally solved the first one and ohnotherearemore :c

This puzzle game has outsmarted me. Let's see if some good old pencil and paper can beat it. Fantastic, amazing job!

0 by Cosmologicon 2013-05-04T02:32:00

Eh, I commented too fast:

I wanted to say that it'd be great to have a restart button, and at least one level was solvable without using all the circles, but if you go to the centre it doesn't find it valid.

And this is devilishly hard. How many levels are there?

a.void by Ty Taylor 2013-04-30T01:45:00

I'm not sure what I'm playing but it is awesome! xD
Great job!

I got a high score of 60 and the game started lagging.

Squeeps by Ryusui 2013-05-04T20:18:00

First of all, thank you for commenting on my game!

Your game and the squeeps are adorable <3 The game isn't very challenging however, but it is fun and cute.

*Squeeps*

Also, the game you were planning for the evolution theme reminded me a lot of a game a friend made for a previous LD, maybe you want to check it out: http://www.kongregate.com/games/tilman/a-d-a-p-t-i-o-n?acomplete=adaption

The Vale by Tyro 2013-05-01T17:45:00

I'm posting here so you can see it:

I've had your problem before, I think. Do you have an ATI card? The thing is, the swords are textures I'm blitting while everything else is sprites. There is a bug with some ATI cards and drivers that it refuses to draw sprites. The bug should go away when you update your drivers. However, I've used a hack to fix the problem before and I'll upload it some time later.

Still, I'd like to know your system specs. CPU, GPU, Operating system. Thank you for reporting your problem! ^^

I'll play your game later when I have a chance.

The Vale by Tyro 2013-05-02T03:19:00

The graphics were pretty nice and along the music they set a very dark, somber mood. As someone else mentioned, it has a very Gameboy feel to it.

The game was extremely polished and well done, but too hard. I got up to the caves where you have to teleport in the air or fall on spikes. And that platform where you had to side jump... D:

Maybe I just gave up too easily, a challenge is always good :3

The Vale by Tyro 2013-05-02T03:20:00

Oh, sorry for the double post, but thank you for commenting on my game! :D

hexfree by munshkr 2013-05-20T20:54:00

It's an interesting little concept, I'd like to see more. Would be great if you got the resetting bug fixed though.

Nothing by mollymus 2013-05-01T07:00:00

Haha, I love the guy's hairstyle. My only problem, or rather, suggestion would be to do away with respawn time, like in Super Meatboy. I don't want to wait to play again, even if it is but an instant. And collisions were unforgiving at times... "I pressed roll, game! I pressed it!!!" And maybe the difficulty climbs too fast. BUT.

Awesome game!

Nothing by mollymus 2013-05-01T07:01:00

Also, forgot to thank you for commenting on my game! :3

2001: A Space Oculus by zeh 2013-05-19T06:27:00

This looks interesting, all right. Alas, no Rift :c

Ingenious, though!

Growing Energy by scorder 2013-05-17T19:48:00

As others have said, it is very hard to figure out. It would be good to at least explain what the icons mean. The game however is fun and interesting. A very minimalistic strategy game that works very well and I took over the universe (I was expecting the game to tell me that, though! :P)

Congrats on making a game for the compo!

Rocket Ruins by TiDitto 2013-04-30T01:05:00

I was prepared to give the game a graphics score of 1 but the graphics were actually great!

Everybody else has said it before, but the whole fake spikes/walls was annoying. Still, fun little game.

The Gallery by TehSkull 2013-05-16T05:31:00

First of all, thank you very much for commenting on my game! <3 I will be posting updates on it soon.

I like the minimalistic art and being able to destroy it, but it lacks more content. Also, there seem to be some queer physics in here: http://i.imgur.com/Z2S5br1.png :P

Free ride is unplayable on the browser build. I'm running Win7 64bit on Maxthon.

The Gallery by TehSkull 2013-05-16T05:32:00

Dangit, sorry for the double post. I'm tired and forgetful:

I'd love it if you'd told me what games like mine have you seen. I want this game to be fully a puzzler where you can take as much time as you want, but I can always take a hint or two from similar games.

Feint Signal by brxtr 2013-05-20T20:48:00

The only one thing I didn't like was the instructions flashing on and off.

I got a score of 43 and the music reminds me of the band Plaid (which I love <3). Fantastic entry! All 5!

A Simple Circle by zatyka 2013-05-04T04:24:00

First of all, thank you for commenting on my game :3

There is no Audio in the web version for me, I'm, running Maxthon; so I got the Windows version and it is amazing. I gave the audio a low score however because the 'ping' is KILLING me.

The game is fun though, good job! :3

Minimalism by Mathias Olsson 2013-05-05T03:14:00

I didn't like the sound when you hit the end of the level x3

The idea was nice, would have been interesting to have a the ability to make universes with so much of a certain colour. Like, I don't want any blue and only a little bit of green, let's see how it comes out.

It was interesting however and I loved how the stars seemed to twinkle at the end. Good work!

Also, thank you very much for commenting on my game!

Tado Toss by PixelOaks 2013-05-20T19:34:00

Congratulations on making an online game in such a short time! It looks great and sounds great. However, nobody was online when I tried to play so I didn't give an overall or a fun rating.

MONO by timtipgames 2013-05-21T04:13:00

What can I say, no wonder you got first place. CONGRATULATIONS! ^_^

And Then There Were None by DreamThorn 2013-05-19T20:59:00

The game refused to run most of the times, and figuring out took me a while (I still don't quite understance the vortices) but this is a very clever and ingenious puzzle game.

I got up to the blue C. I'll play some more later.

Simplification Quest by Adbook 2013-05-17T01:08:00

I had some issues with the game. It crashed once on me after level 2, you can jump in the air if you walk off a ledge and things skip too quickly in the intro. Also, was there music? I swear I heard something but even at max volume it was but a faint sound.

The game however was okay, it was polished and had good graphics for the short time you had.

here 121212!

Minimal by MegaBrutal 2013-05-19T06:41:00

Incredibly minimal, yush. Many points for participating in the LD using only assembly. That is impressive and the idea of making a game in assembly is scary.

Fog by Noah Ratcliff 2013-04-30T01:21:00

So I pressed N and what is this.

This was a great game and your artist is fan-tas-tic. The only thing this game needs is a readme explaining the controls.

Escape the Tower by Back to Browse Entries 2013-05-16T05:07:00

First of all, thank you for taking your time to comment on my game! <3

Kudos for making a GBA game. I took a quick glance at the source and I had no idea you could write c for the GBA. How do you compile it?

Anyway, cool job!

Molbert by JawbonedHero 2013-05-04T01:39:00

Some times when you die you get more jems than when you restart and one time my gems weren't reset. Also, I SWEAR the door for the last level wasn't there almost every time I checked. Maybe I'm going crazy?

It is a very good looking game however. I love Molbert's shades <3 And the mechanic is very interesting. One of my ideas for LD shared a similar mechanic :3

Good job!

Brutaliz'Art LD26 by lotusgame 2013-05-17T01:30:00

I love you. I just love you.

I saved myself 77k and minimalised my competition.

Quest by vinull 2013-05-01T05:48:00

First of all, thanks for playing my game!

I found the music very fitting and the dungeon looked amazing. The combat and the movement were rather tedious and I didn't enjoy them. Congratulations on your game, though!

Other Space by GarethIW 2013-05-17T00:23:00

Fisrt of all, thank you for commenting on my game!

I had a few small issues I'd like to start with: at first you are forced to walk on a pipe, but any pipes from then on you fall through. Some jumps are too spaced apart (http://imgur.com/TLOnCTr this one made me restart the game four times) and finally, 344 288 people killed seems more like a city being flooded, not a planet dying :P

Other than that, I quite liked the game. The graphics were great and having some audio really helps out the game. I loved seeing the multiple layers of the world but I think the teleportation mechanic lends itself to be more 'puzzly' (visually, the levels are broken up, but in truth they are straight-forward).

Great job, though!
(The reference to Valve <3)

Snobits by gmaker 2013-05-02T00:08:00

Fisrt of all: Thank you for commenting on my game! :3

The bubble guy was kind of frustrating and I didn't finish the game, but the levels were well designed around their abilities and that is awesome. And the little... snobits are so ugly I can't help but like them.

Black Square by Parappa 2013-05-20T20:23:00

The AI seems to have some trouble finding its way around... They do like walls! I don't like how the enemies spawn from nowhere though.

This is a great entry and it reminds me of the old Gameboy games. It's fun, looks great, sounds great. Congratulations!

Maxwell Rush by lanz 2013-05-17T20:54:00

So my friend told me he wants me to make a game about Maxwell's demon and I said that I didn't think it'd work... Five in innovation and yay for physics! <3

And woohoo! I got re$spect.

The physics worked great (I should try Box2D in Python) though you can exploit them in level 4. Push a ball to a corner and hold it. Release to increase the temperature and hold it again. Finally, you should make MB1 attract in the post-compo version, and WASD still moves the demon.

Fantastic work!

Minimal Win *Proof of Concept* by Cognizant Game Studios 2013-05-01T23:53:00

You said there are randomly generated levels? Because it's the same level every time I launch it, and I can't find my way through! >.<

The lightning is gorgeous, but otherwise I gave this entry a low score because it is kinda... empty, but I guess you know that. Also, the .exe won't run on my computer. I have Windows 7 64bit, am running on a Pentium Dual-core and an ATI Radeon HD 5700.

H48SJ4, the MINIMIZING robot by Aifryz 2013-05-18T03:56:00

Fisrt of all, when you press the arrow keys to start the robot does not appear, it only appears when you press space.

Congrats on making an entry for the Ludum Dare! But as others have said, the game is kind of empty.

OktumBoktum - A minimal adventure of a boy and his crazy pet by imagnity 2013-05-01T05:26:00

OktumBoktum - A minimal adventure of a boy and his crazy pet by imagnity 2013-05-01T20:53:00

Cooooool!

One of my early ideas was similar to this: You control some kind of ship and you have to change the colour of the screen to the colour of incoming balls (asteroids) to go through them.

It's beautifully done, the music is great and it is VERY addictive. My best so far is 1132.

Maximalism by phi 2013-05-18T04:00:00

None of the links work for me.

Post on my page if you fix it and I'll play it!

(R,G,B) by KilledByAPixel 2013-05-04T19:26:00

I just read you can lower the sound effects because, seriously, the spinning sound murdered my ears. Other than that, this is an incredibly well designed and polished game, with a very good song and beautiful looks. Congratulations!

The Simple Clicker Game by psc1997 2013-05-19T20:06:00

Reminds me of this:
http://mmo.smbc-comics.com/login.php

I like it. It's silly. And it does feel like an MMO xD
It'd be cool to get extra points for the less time you take to click, or something like that. That'd add some skill :3

Mimisi (Minimalistic minimalism simulation) by Aron 2013-04-30T05:24:00

Hey, you said this was a LD48 entry but you entered for the jam regardless. Was it an accident?

And, whoa. It looks like a very simple simulation, but it felt like it had a lot of detail. Why won't my town grow? They don't have enough food. Okay, I built mills and silos, and I have 22 people, but why aren't you making any tools? Well, everybody is busy making food!

I had fun with it. I got... a score of 470 in a ten minute match I think.

Mimisi (Minimalistic minimalism simulation) by Aron 2013-05-01T02:28:00

Hey, are you building some kind of space population sim? :3

Game of Rows by Zim the Fox 2013-04-29T03:22:00

Had to do some last minute fixes:

Added a line to not create a shadow context, doesn't run on some ATI cards if it creates one.

Directions were reversed. Fixed it.

Added module collections.

Changed readme to include my repository.

Game of Rows by Zim the Fox 2013-04-29T23:07:00

Made some changes to the readme, added a bug fix to support previous versions of Python and finally, removed Python executables from the source (apparently, you don't just drop python.exe on a zip and be done with it...)

Packaging is such a mess!
I'll try to make Linux executables later.

Game of Rows by Zim the Fox 2013-05-01T05:31:00

Yeah... I was changing the download links to BitBucket... I also added Linux executables!

Thank you all for the nice comments!

Game of Rows by Zim the Fox 2013-05-01T07:15:00

Thanks to everybody for your comments!

@imagnity: Yeah... I wanted to do falling animations, too, but I had no time for that and audio editing is soooooooooooooooooooooo beyond me. And I'll play your game after I get some sleep!

@TenTonToon
Thank you for the screenshot! It was really helpful.

Most of the traceback is the freezing utility, which makes it so that you can run the script outside of my computer without installing Python. Aaaah, so many problems.

@Tyro: I've had your problem before, I think. ATI card, right? It goes away when you update your drivers, though I'll try to find the hack I've used before. If that is not the problem... I'll try to find a solution later!

@fullmontis:
I think you are having the same problem as TenTonToon. It'd be great if you provided me with your system specs and tried updating to the newest drivers.

Thank you guys for reporting the problems.

Game of Rows by Zim the Fox 2013-05-01T17:37:00

@Cosmologicon:
I... have the tendency to be messy with my directories. Shhhhhh... Don't tell anybody. Also, I wonder why the executable wouldn't run for you. All I can think of is that you needed to give it write and execute permissions using chmod.

Once more, thanks to everybody for your comments and I'll get right on finding solutions to the bugs.

Game of Rows by Zim the Fox 2013-05-01T20:29:00

OK! I think, hope, wish that the bugs have been fixed. If they aren't, I'm not sure there is much else i can do.

Game of Rows by Zim the Fox 2013-05-01T20:38:00

@fullmontis

HAHA! :D

Yeah. After a while of working with Pyglet, I've learnt there are a couple of bugs that I have to patch when releasing. Your problem was in fact the first bug fix I did to the game, but I did it wrong, apparently. I'd still like to know what graphics card you are using.

Thank you for playing and commenting! <3

Game of Rows by Zim the Fox 2013-05-02T18:57:00

@Zatyka

Thank you for your comment! :3

@TenTonToon

I hadn't thought of that! The possibility seems a little distant because... Well, I don't have a cellphone, for one. I have waited for my boyfriend to give me his iPhone four months now! It also means learning a new language and working with new libraries, which is kind of scary. But that is a fantastic idea. I'm soooo excited thinking of that possibility!

@Tyro

Haha, I was debating whether to explain that, but I left that as a surprise for the player. I mean, you dropped 10 tonnes of gold on your head! What were you thinking, Mr. pirate!

I'm thinking on continuing development on the game. Comment the code, which is under the MIT license if anybody is interested; make a menu, of course; allow for custom levels (you can easily edit the levels in the source code), add one or two new tiles, like lava (you don't want your treasure to fall on it!). Any and all ideas are welcome!

Game of Rows by Zim the Fox 2013-05-03T05:54:00

@mebibyte

Yeah. Instead of instantly changing levels, you have a bit of time to appreciate that you won. If I had had time I would have made it more clear, maybe by a sound or a small message.

Thank you for your comment :3

Game of Rows by Zim the Fox 2013-05-13T07:00:00

First of all, it is 2 in the morning so I apologise if I speak nonsense.

Guys, I am just overwhelmed by your comments and I'm sorry I've taken so long to answer. I have been busy with stuff in my life, and working on my game slowly. I want to finish a more versatile level-loading mechanism, should be done and up by tomorrow, which means you can make custom levels very easily. After that, I will work on refining the mechanics (read the last response) and I'll be back to rating LD games (especially the games of you guys who have commented <3). I've also been thinking I should make a quick website for people who want to stay updated.

Thank you all for your support! <3

@Ryusui

Thank you so much! It makes me so excited to hear that. I plan to eventually release a full version, but it will take a while.

@Cake&Code:
I really appreciate it! That is my favourite level, too, because it forces the player to think differently.

@TehSkull
I'd love it if you'd told me what games like it have you seen. I want this game to be fully a puzzler where you can take as much time as you want, but I can always take a hint or two from similar games.

@Benjamin
Thank you! The swords were kind of a last minute idea but I think it really adds to the game. I disagree with you regarding the mechanic: I think the game as it is has a loooooooooot of potential but I couldn't make use of it in the short time for the Ludum Dare. However, I do plan to new tiles and maybe a new mechanic. Some tiles I've thought of are:

Lava: Kills the player and melts the chest.

Torch: Caves can get very dark and you need to illuminate them somehow.

Goop: It is very dense and it can lift the player and the chest. It can also be set on fire. (I am very wary of allowing things to rise. I'm not sure if it would improve the game).

Rotation: You can rotate the level clockwise or anti-clockwise, simple mechanic but it allows many new possibilities.

I'm not sure I like the bomb, it may become a very unpredictable mechanic, but I will try it and the sand out!

Game of Rows by Zim the Fox 2013-05-14T06:49:00

Ok, make that another day.

Game of Rows by Zim the Fox 2013-05-20T02:09:00

@Mach60KAS

I know! I spent like two hours shaking radiographies and having water fall on pots and editing those sounds to do some ambient. Alas, I don't know anything about recording or editing so I wasted my time! :P

Thank you for commenting!

@GarethIW

Thank you very much!

@TheSkull

I will check the game when I have a little more time. Thankies!

It's a fun little application, and I love you get the kanji/Chinese characters.

The Call by fullmontis 2013-05-01T17:51:00

I'm posting here so you get a chance to see it:

I think you are having the same problem running my game as TenTonToon. The problem seems to show up on relatively old GPUs that don't like OpenGL. What graphics card are you using? Have you updated your drivers? And, per chance, did you run the _source_ using 64bit Python? I'll do my best to find a solution!

Thank you very much for reporting your problem! ^^ I'll try out your game when I have a chance.

The Call by fullmontis 2013-05-02T03:51:00

First of all, thank you for commenting on my game :D

And, another Python developer! Or at least, Ren'py!

My only problem was that the story had quite a bit of typos and misspellings. Other than that, it was a compelling and interesting story, a fantastic job!

Time of Wheels by Doccrazy 2013-05-06T04:41:00

I read the comments and it spoiled the second puzzle for me :c

It was interesting~ Requires some time and some skill.

I'd like to point out that you didn't include the source which is /required/ for LD48, but since it is HTML5 you can inspect the elements on a browser.

I loved the game. Limiting your view makes it kinda unique and I loved the fact that you made a random level generator.

Hey, I forgot to thank you for commenting on my game! :3

The mouse sensitivity... It is so high!!!

It's an interesting concept otherwise. Got lucky and made it in 10 seconds :3

Fantastic job! I love your accent!

It is a fun little game, not much to say. Full screen is a little blurry but that is all right. And no, didn't find the potato room.

Babel by Merkoth 2013-05-17T19:24:00

I can't move with WASD, I have to play old school and rotate with the arrow keys :P

Are the levels randomly generated? If so, that's really cool. Is there an end though? And can you level up past Level 2? I found the combat kind of pointless and unresponsive (at times I'd click the buttons and nothing would happen, and a clicking animation or sound would help immensely)

Regardless, congratulations on making a game for the compo!

Minimalist Horror Story by MinionStudios 2013-05-20T19:10:00

First of all, thank you for commenting on my game!

At first I thought the minimalism was in the horror of being alone in a house at night. Then came the creepy red smoke thing that gave me chicken skin. Took me three tries to figure out what I had to do though x3

Great job!

Lunarium by Alprog 2013-05-19T19:36:00

You should explain that you can keep MB1 pressed. The game is great but the controls feel wonky and fudgy when the level geometry gets all messy.

Other than that, it is an enjoyable little game with a fantastic ending.

Like Rogue by Thein 2013-05-16T06:21:00

I have two problems with this game: It is hard to distinguish how far enemies are and continuously pressing the buttons is tiresome, especially when you have to go back to kill every enemy to proceed. More compact levels or doing away with that requirement would be great.

This game is very ingenious and challenging but the basic strategy is to let the enemies to go first and wait until they are right next to you. I enjoyed it a lot however but I gave up at level 3 (have a headache right now). I want to try again but I don't really want to start from naught.

Congratulations on the game however! I liked the white little monster specially and how they blended in with the skull.

Square Circle Triangle by my.digital.decay 2013-05-04T05:31:00

It looks nice! :3

It's a very empty prototype so I gave it a low score, but I think you are onto a very interesting mechanic. Keep working on it!

Just going to chime in that it is amazing you made a game in Matlab, but I can't play it.

Good job!

Hadron the Uniter by Erunaamo 2013-05-20T01:59:00

I learnt today that negatron is also a word for anti-proton. Cool! However, the name of the game bothers me. Hadrons are composite particles made of quarks. The proton and the neutron are hadrons. Hadrons simply don't 'gently hold' other particles.

How come a proton, neutron and electron don't count as hydrogen? No time to support isotopes? :3 What would make this game for me is anti-elements. Like a positron and anti-proton make anti-hydrogen.

Finally, this game is supremely hard... I only did managed H and He. I really liked it though. Great job!

Also, I had no audio while playing. I'm running on Maxthon in Win7 64Bit

Hadron the Uniter by Erunaamo 2013-05-20T03:04:00

Oh, oh. Sorry for the double post, but you should add neutrinos coming out of reactions as described by:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Proton_proton_cycle.svg

and other fusion chains.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

I'm reminded of my violin classes. "You are getting ahead of yourself" the professor would tell me every single time xD

Boy, I need to go back to playing violin.

I had to give up at V. because my computer was starting to lag (too much stuff open) and it was throwing me off, but the game is perfect just as is. I'll try again tomorrow.

All fives!

Adorable pony avatar, BTW :3

Canon by sparkleswirl 2013-05-03T18:09:00

And I finished challenge mode! That was amazing. Great job.

Perchance the most frustrating part was when I'd press a button one millisecond before the block fell down, so it wouldn't jump. But I guess that is my fault.

I Swallowed My Arrow Key by SleepyStudios 2013-05-16T06:57:00

The music got a five from me and the graphics are neat, but the game is rather lacking. Seems like you run out of time and planned a lot more, considering the map size.

Good job anyway!

I don't have an Android phone so I can't try it, but great job!

Four Scepters by Benjamin 2013-05-16T05:55:00

First of all, thank you for commenting on my game! <3 I responded to your comment on my page.

This game is really cool and hard. Even the casual version is rather unforgiving. It's some sort of puzzler and I love it, but I didn't get past the third level.

You did a fantastic job with the graphics, animation and audio. Also, HaXe... I had never heard of that language. Awesome, I just learnt about a new language!

Katana Adventures II: The Reckoning by Jed Mayberry 2013-05-20T20:08:00

Hidden potato was easy to find!

I get the idea... That you have to make your own story... But... I don't know, it just feels empty :P

Congratulations though, it is a great looking entry and an interesting story attempt! (And yay Boo, the Python-inspired Unity scripting language. It's a shame there wasn't much documentation for it last time I looked into it.)

i need to lie down by JigxorAndy 2013-05-04T19:54:00

One song that may describe the game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0GLoHifu6aM

Joking aside, I didn't really feel anxious, uncomfortable or else wile playing the game but I think it did a great job at setting a mood.

The sound design is _astounding_. It makes the game, but the animation also does a great and necessary job of conveying emotion. The game needs some work on the mechanic department however, it is but 'move around in circles avoiding the black things'.

Fantastic work, and congratulations on finishing before the deadline!

Hot curry.

I played through the few endings and enjoyed it. The humour was fantastic and the story was interesting. If anything, it felt too short for a text adventure.

A Game of Numbers by JoeDev_net 2013-04-30T02:11:00

The only problem I had with it is that, at first, I thought % stood for percentage, and it kinda missed an "enk" sound with the screen shake!

The number of levels was perfect, especially considering the little time one has. Great job :3

A Game of Numbers by JoeDev_net 2013-05-01T02:41:00

@JoeDev

Just had an idea for your game!
Functions: There is an input box and numerous output boxes, and depending on the number you are, you come out on a certain output.

Minimalism by StabAlarash 2013-05-17T19:08:00

Got to the end with 25 health left :3

A few things: if you press q, you move left. Autoshoot would be fantastic. There are too many enemies at any one time and random figures spawning may take away the shape you tried so hard to get, or make your life easier; both cases happened to me.

The game however is fun and the game mechanic can have a lot of strategy to it. Do I want to shoot fast or cover all my sides? It's a great idea, fantastic job you too.

MUWO by khahem 2013-05-20T19:39:00

I had no idea how to solve the sixth level.

Anyway, it is a great puzzle game. Congratulations on making an entry!

Potatosimplificationarmaggedon by atlantian 2013-05-17T01:53:00

I like the idea, it is creative and works nicely. The game is introduced greatly except for the brown wall. I also love the water texture. There is something awfully wrong with the grass and dirt texture however. You should also capture the mouse and add a sensitivity slider.

Finally, I gave up on level 2 (he second after the intro) because I don't want to repeaat something over and over because I miss a jump. I solved the puzzle, don't make me repeat something over and over again.

Congratulations on making an entry, however!

Treasure! by Mach60KAS 2013-05-20T02:29:00

First of all, thank you for commenting on my game <3 I responded to you on my page.

You have way too much life. I know you probably don't want to lose all your limbs and organs in the dungeon, but you can get all the gold without worrying about dying, so long as you are quick enough.

It is hard to know where exactly the skulls are because sometimes they are over the wall, some times not, and collision detection is a bit shaky. However, it is a good, solid submission. Congratulations!

Little Planet of Doom by 2A1S 2013-05-18T03:31:00

Maybe it is my computer being stupid (which is no surprise) but it lags a loooooooooot, it consumes all of the power of one core. Haven't rated yet.

Win7 64bit. 4GB of RAM, 2.0 Dual core processor.

PS. Minimalizing open spaces just means making more area. Not minimal at all :3

Church of Minimalism by kibertoad 2013-05-18T03:35:00

I love the graphics but this game badly needs a helpfile, at least. I don't have the will to try to understand it :P

m by cadin 2013-05-17T18:28:00

Yay, I got a green W!

This is a great, smart little puzzle game. I was going to complain that it didn't support cursor keys, but I was just being dumb :P

The hardest level was... was it eight? where you had like a square and crosses everywhere. Rather than outright memorizing what steps to take, I just checked the map until I had an idea of where to go and what pitfalls there are. 'Go left until you can go up, go up all the way, left, up, you are at the top. Go to all the way to the right and go down the very last shaft...'

Fantastic job!

The One Road by Dietrich Epp 2013-05-03T05:09:00

Hey, I wanna know what your solutions were! And there is no unorthodox solution, just creative ones (or unexpected ones. I didn't have much time to make levels, but I intentionally made them so you could solve them in different manners).

The game is an RPG boiled down to its essentials and it works great. I managed to beat the impossible difficulty (at first I thought it was seriously impossible, but once you kill the first monster and get a potion, the rest is just grinding ;P)

And potatoes! They are so OP!

Everyone Together by aeveis 2013-04-30T05:49:00

I got up to the 'and you get to see the bigger picture' part, then gave up. It's kind of hard x3

I love it though. It is so... nice! And upbeat! And sweet!
