LD23 — Tiny World

Tiny World - Tiny Bits by notepid 2012-04-24T07:40:00

Thank you for your feeback!

There are a lot of things that we know could be done a lot better, that includes level design. Thank you very much for that link, we will have a good read there :)

Thank you for your feedback!

Glad you enjoyed the art work! We are very aware of the "strangeness" of the physics and that is something we are absolutely adressing before LD24.

Little Biyubi by edbadiux 2012-05-04T22:54:00

Its been a long time since I appreciated an old school looking game like this. Movement is fluid, collision is thight, and I felt a strong urge to just complete the level is was on. The per level respawns are a great addition to the game. Kudos for being able to complete such a standard of a game to this contest!

Tiny Planet by CherryNukaCola 2012-05-04T22:37:00

@CherryNukeCola: Particleeffects are indeed on the large scale. interesting concept, nevertheless I would want more incentive for the player to complete the objectives.

LD26 — Minimalism

Brushman by Digital Apathy by notepid 2013-04-30T09:27:00

Thanks for the comments guys! You CAN restart the game by hitting the "R" key. It says so on the very first hint on level 1, but I guess it is not obvious :)

Nothing by mollymus 2013-04-30T09:38:00

Good graphics, but as the others have stated after playing for 5 minutes and not making any progress, I had to give up. Too bad, because I really wanted to like this game.

Pretentious 'em Up! by ArkadyDracul 2013-04-30T08:57:00

I could not get past the intro-screen. I tried all the keys on my keyboard and mouse, but it would not let me play.

Mondritron: 2026 by Dotanukii 2013-04-30T09:02:00

Good take on the theme. Bit hard game to play. I believe the difficulty ramps up too quickly. Having a more slower introduction to colors and enemies would make the game more enjoyable. I like it though!

Like the concept. Nice game! :)

Stomp Space by dark_hunter 2013-04-30T08:43:00

Good concept, but I do not see how this fits with the theme.

Fjoxel by Pixelsalt 2013-04-30T09:12:00

I enjoyed this game :)

Dark Wayne by lasergans 2013-04-30T09:22:00

Good game mechanics, and it seems like there has been done a lot of thinking to design interesting levels.

Too complicated for my brain :)

Execute by ShinkiroCode 2013-04-30T09:24:00

Good concept. Could not get past 2nd level...

Other Space by GarethIW 2013-04-30T09:42:00

Good graphics, good controls. unfortunately the game crashes for me after the 3rd teleportation. I would like to see more of this game.

MiniJump by JayPC000 2013-05-17T18:06:00

Ok game, nice graphic minimalistic style. A few more gameplay elements would have been welcome after level 3.

SQUARE by Beardbotnik 2013-04-30T09:19:00

The controls were a bit sluggish, and the physics needs some work. It also bugged out at the end, where I simply started on the top of the level and could simply jump down to the missing pixel and win the game.

Peacemaker by Jod 2013-05-17T18:46:00

Unique visual style and game style, actually got me playing quite some time. Nice to have stories in these "short" games! Missing more instructions in-game on how to actually use menus. Some sound and more instructions would have made it even better. Link to the theme is a long stretch ;)

Cells by anatolat 2013-05-17T19:09:00

Nice idea, a bit too easy overall since "nourishment" are replenishing very fast. Also, mouse should have worked by holding it down, not only clicking. As other mentioned, keys would be a nice option also.

Mind the Gap by shiprib 2013-04-30T08:38:00

I really liked this one. Very original take on the theme.

Secret Power by CollabGames 2013-05-17T18:56:00

Had some trouble playing it. Since it brought up dialog boxes with "Ok", I kept pressing enter which was also interaction. Eventually I got a crash saying:

ERROR in
action number 1
of Step Event
for object obj_dooropen:

Error in code at line 8:
if place_meeting(obj_player.x,obj_player.y,obj_mum)
^
at position 34: Unknown variable x

Digital H by winesays 2013-04-30T09:06:00

Sorry, but I have no idea what to do. It is a bit harsh to just leave the player there without any hints or instructions. Perhaps give the player some hint to what to do after a minute or two?

Lost In Fancy by Back to Browse Entries 2013-05-17T18:18:00

Nice gfx, gets hard a bit too fast.

A Picture Says by ntdb 2013-05-12T15:12:00

Enjoyed the graphics, but it got abit monotonous walking around.

Escape the Plane by Jiyko 2013-05-12T14:58:00

Feels abit slow moving around. Could also use some indicator on where you are while jumping (soaring)

Spark by CNIAngel 2013-04-30T08:47:00

Sorry, got bored after 10 seconds.
