LD26 — Minimalism

Potato by Dmitrix 2013-05-10T03:52:00

YOU WIN! Yay! I really enjoyed this game, but I am a little biased towards collect-em-up type games. This game just shows that not every LD entry has to be a brain-melter to be good. The only improvement that I would suggest would be a map or arrow showing where the remaining potatoes are. It's sort of a pain to backtrack to the beginning to get a potato missed early in the level.

tequilaJumper by mort96 2013-05-06T23:13:00

I like the simplicity of this game. The jumps can be a little floaty.

Cube Colors by PabloAlexandre31 2013-05-05T23:43:00

Really liked the concept and matching colors to open the door. Maybe limit it to three colors to start out with, because trying to match the exact shade of a door could be frustrating sometimes. Also, maybe show the RGB triplet on the doors and player so that it would be easier to determine which combination of blocks is required to open the door. Great job on this one. Hope to see more levels soon!

Completely backwards by BNeutral 2013-05-03T04:24:00

I won... or did I?

Land of the Free by uberneen 2013-05-10T23:22:00

The atmosphere was nice. It was a little heavy on the text, and having to keep the mouse centered to walk forward was a little awkward.

DIG QUEST Deluxe: ASCII Mining Adventure by SuperDisk 2013-05-05T03:12:00

Really liked the graphics style in this game. Reminds me of old BBS door games. DOS ASCII character 01 is my hero!

Gods Will Be Watching by Deconstructeam 2013-05-10T23:54:00

Really unique idea. It's like a futuristic cross between the Oregon Trail and Gilligan's Island. If only they had the Professor to repair the radio. I made it 14 days and had the radio at 43/50. I'll probably come back to this one later to see what happens when the radio is fully repaired. My only issue was that it seemed to be a little to easy to kill your own camp members. I killed the robot guy early on by accident.

Buggers! by recursor 2013-05-12T06:38:00

Nice entry, I played all the way to the end. Those roaches are so sneaky! The levels were well thought out, and it's the first game that I played where bug spray is a weapon since Donkey Kong 3.

_M_ by GranaDa 2013-05-03T23:39:00

The learning curve seemed on this one seemed a little steep to me. Maybe start people out by making them only have to make one or two triangles white, then on a later level make them fill all seven.

#Totally BS!: Episode Pilot by avalonknight 2013-05-03T03:39:00

I really didn't understand what was going on until I clicked on the map. Neat concept. It reminds me of plotting out sectors in the BBS game Trade Wars 2002.

YLBIN by intripoon 2013-04-29T04:20:00

Reminds me of the days when I would play the snakes game that came bundled with QBasic (Nibbles)

Cutris by Tinco 2013-04-29T04:41:00

I like the concept, but I think it would have been a little more playable if there was a side view in addition to the overhead view.

Kriok by someone 2013-05-10T04:47:00

This reminds me a lot of the block on ice puzzles in games like A Link to the Past. Level 3 and 4 had me stumped for awhile, but I finally got it. I gave up on level 5.

Mnmlsm by villhest 2013-04-29T05:22:00

I figured out how to put the clutter in by standing back a bit when grabbing the cubes and spheres. However, there's still too much clutter to move in such a short period of time. Adding another 60 seconds would have made it more playable.

Angry Viking vs Minimalist Hipsters by reverso13 2013-05-05T23:55:00

Nice artwork and music. Took a minute to figure out that I was supposed to be attacking the door. Great sense of humor on this one, and the first cross between hipsters and vikings that I've seen.

... by Dir3kt 2013-05-07T02:40:00

I really enjoyed this puzzler. Simple concept, but also really fun. Some of the later levels really made me think about when was the best time to release the barriers.

Robot Hears Kitten by Kom 2013-05-10T22:39:00

Really liked the use of sounds in this game.

Squeeps by Ryusui 2013-05-03T03:44:00

The growling was so creepy!

Digging For A Potato by kewry 2013-04-29T05:45:00

I ate the only potato in the world... I'm so selfish. :D

Stalker by The Consul 2013-05-10T22:55:00

Nice art style in this game. I got to the screen with the red and blue houses and couldn't do anything, so I assumed that was the end. Don't mess with that turret!

RedShot by Jellycakes 2013-05-06T01:23:00

Nice minimalist FPS shooter. Sometimes the enemies would try to spawn on top of me, but I found that the best way to win is to stand in the corner to reduce the chances of enemies getting you from behind.

DeaN by Sakuyan 2013-05-02T04:23:00

Neat concept. I quit after about 600 points because it seemed like nothing was happening and it was stuck in a loop.

U by KEFIR 2013-05-10T03:36:00

Neat concept of being restricted in one plane of movement. I gave up on "Maniac", even after watching tutorial video. Just couldn't time it right to collide with the other saw.

A Cheap Atari Game by DrZanuff 2013-05-16T04:05:00

Nice, I actually beat the boss and got the End screen. Reminded me a lot of Castlevania.

Swatch by madlee 2013-05-13T02:56:00

I'm having the same problem as Guardian_Bob. I see the popup window but it just displays a blank square (Firefox 20) I also tried it with Opera with the same result.

Hipster Pad by nimblegorilla 2013-05-10T22:32:00

This is one of the more enjoyable puzzlers that I've played for LD26. Easy to get into, and the puzzles make you think, but it's not so difficult that it's aggravating. I do wish that I had the ability to rotate the furniture pieces, which would add another level of depth to the game. Also, it would be nice to have the furniture pieces snap to the grid, because I would spend a lot of time trying to align the pieces on the rug. Good job!

Be Still by metadept 2013-05-02T04:00:00

This man can control the sun, moon, and time itself just by sitting. He is truly a god!

Robot by Icelus 2013-05-16T03:34:00

Yay, I got to the You Win room. Getting around the pink shooters was tricky at times.

Don't Hit The Core by TheSarcastic 2013-05-05T10:11:00

Really neat puzzle game. The first Unity link didn't work for me, however the Version 2.0 ran with no problems. I'll admit, I hit the core!

IN MALI SOMMI by Capro 2013-05-06T00:53:00

I really like the unique reflection concept. Having the both rotation and fine tuned rotation controls really helped. Game froze on my on about the fourth level where you need the three red orbs to chase you to open the door.

Swimming Fool by blackmagic 2013-05-11T00:41:00

Nice graphics. The difficulty curve seems to be a little steep, as I could not get past the first checkpoint with the three suns. Leaves very little room for error.

Paint Tanks by zerocreativity1 2013-05-10T05:55:00

I liked how the game freshens up the tactical RPG formula by using army tanks. The second level seemed like it could use a little more variety, since it seemed like whoever got the first shot in would win.

Paint Tanks by zerocreativity1 2013-05-10T06:09:00

Okay, I figured out that you can shoot in a blank square and move there to get a small buff. That really makes a difference between winning a losing a lot of the battles.

Folding by raincole 2013-04-30T04:42:00

Nice innovative idea, but I'll admit I was just randomly trying things until level 5. That's when I really grasped what I needed to do to complete the levels. However, level 9 completely stumped me.

Folding by raincole 2013-04-30T04:48:00

Just figured out level 9. Had to think a little differently to solve it. Nice game!

dotLife by ddionisio 2013-04-30T04:57:00

Nice, I liked how damage taken is represented by the pixelization of the graphics.

Platonic Dot Solid by Prelucid 2013-05-05T01:36:00

Could't figure out what to do on the last boss, otherwise great game!

unessential by voxel 2013-04-30T04:08:00

I thought the outcomes were completely random at first, then I realized that once defeated it shows the opponent's attack frequency, which allows you to appropriately counter their moves the next time you meet them. However, the final boss uses each attack equally so it really is a crap shoot.

Life! by cwilloughby 2013-05-11T20:13:00

Neat life simulator. Now if real life was as simple as pressing the correct home row key. I really liked the music as well.

Chez Angelo by EdoMiyamoto 2013-05-03T04:11:00

Those box head guys are really bizarre.

Potato Dungeon by _Rilem 2013-05-05T02:51:00

Nice gameplay and graphics. Reminded me a lot of games like Adventures of Link and A Link to the Past.

beTween by Benn 2013-05-16T04:10:00

Neat concept. Reminds me of staring at spinning records when I was a kid. I got to the fourth or fifth level where you're surrounded by red circles.

Speedy Blocks by CptBubbles 2013-05-02T01:14:00

I couldn't ever catch the potato

Escape the Tower by Back to Browse Entries 2013-05-11T20:38:00

Neat game. I wouldn't even know how to begin programming a Game Boy Advanced game. It ran in my emulator, VBA-M on Ubuntu Linux with no problems.

Brutaliz'Art LD26 by lotusgame 2013-05-05T03:29:00

This game really lets the player let out some pent-up aggression.

Quest by vinull 2013-05-02T01:03:00

Seems like a cross between the Legend of Zelda and Minecraft, or a 3D Dot Game Heroes in first person view.

Quest by vinull 2013-05-02T02:22:00

The Linux build worked on my Ubuntu system after upgrading to 13.04 Raring Ringtail. I also had to "# sudo apt-get install ia32-libs" to install the libGLU.so.1 shared library, and "# chmod u+X ./quest". It ran fine, but there is about a 30 second load time where it just displayed a blank window.

Quest by vinull 2013-05-02T03:53:00

I didn't make a Linux build for the LD compo, but it looks like it's simple as changing the target platform in the build settings. I'll probably make a Linux build this weekend to see how it does.

Pete Hated Circles by bgr 2013-05-10T05:20:00

This reminded me of a game back in the day called Jezzball, which came on a Windows 3.1 bonus pack. I like the new artistic take on the game.

Amish Brothers by Levi D. Smith 2013-04-29T00:50:00

Thanks :D

Amish Brothers by Levi D. Smith 2013-04-29T21:33:00

Thanks for all of the feedback. Yes, that was me playing with my limited guitar skills. Hopefully, I'll have a time-lapse video up soon with the guitar playing part included.

Amish Brothers by Levi D. Smith 2013-05-01T06:02:00

@sP0CkEr2 - There are 10 levels... you'll just have to play more to see the ending ;D

@metadept - Yes, I played the music on the guitar. I've added a link to the timelapse video. The sheep "baa" was me too, with some distortion from Audacity.

Amish Brothers by Levi D. Smith 2013-05-05T06:42:00

@Cybearg - Wow, sorry you didn't like it. There's only so much you can do in 48 hours. I sacrificed perfectionism in things like the menus in order to spend more time on content creation like the models and music. I started learning Unity the night before the compo (my background is primarily XNA and Allegro), so I'm sure it would have been better had I had more experience with the Unity environment.

Amish Brothers by Levi D. Smith 2013-05-05T06:52:00

I'll just add that the reason the buttons are misaligned is because in the Unity interface it displays the game in one (of many) resolution, but when you deploy it to the web it changes the resolution based on the browser. Again, I'm coming from an XNA background where you develop for 1280x720, and then the console automatically upscales or downscales the image to the television. Obviously in Unity you've got to be much more careful of handling all possible resolutions.

Amish Brothers by Levi D. Smith 2013-05-05T23:02:00

Thanks for the feedback guys. Some people have said that my previous game for XBLIG was too difficult, so I wanted to make something simple that everyone can enjoy.

Amish Brothers by Levi D. Smith 2013-05-07T22:45:00

Yeah, there's really no lose state to the game. I had initially thought about adding snakes and briars, which would damage Brother Jebidiah. However, time ran short and I was just lucky to figure out how to get the sheep and player rotated in the correct position before the deadline. I think of it like bubble wrap... you just keep popping the bubbles until there are no more.

Amish Brothers by Levi D. Smith 2013-05-14T16:41:00

Here's the clip of me making the baaaa sound for those who are interested: http://youtu.be/zcFIO8j9pec

Execute by ShinkiroCode 2013-05-05T09:22:00

Liked the method of queuing up attacks to take out enemies. The camera had problems following the player on the second level, but I was able to use the YouTube video as a guide to beat it.

Square by Charlie Dowler 2013-05-16T03:23:00

Took me a minute to figure out what was going on here, but I think the point is to keep pressing space to keep the little guy between the walls. I would be interested in seeing this one when it's completed.

Exit by Ludipe 2013-05-09T05:19:00

Nice little game, and I really enjoyed the jokes by the narrator throughout the game.

Neverending bricks by michail 2013-05-06T23:47:00

Really innovative approach to freshen-up the old Breakout/Arkanoid formula.

The Sentient Cube by Omiya Games 2013-05-11T04:52:00

Nice Katamari clone. Sometimes the controls felt a little floaty, but it was still true to the original.

Life/Routine by lightnarcissus 2013-05-10T03:20:00

Neat little music maker game. Some of the music reminded me of the "Haunting Torgo Theme" from Manos Hands of Fate on MST3K. I couldn't tell if there was a correct time to add/remove the notes, or if it's up to the player to make their own music.

Weapons of Minimal Destruction by bluescrn 2013-05-11T00:03:00

Neat idea of getting the lowest possible score. My lowest was 590,790

UFO Invaders Love Steak by ZombieRockParty 2013-05-10T23:07:00

Neat concept. I'd definitely like to see the completed version.

True treasure of Kartoffelschloss by mortus 2013-05-06T00:09:00

Interesting concept of having to give up a weapon after each level. I couldn't make it past the last? level where you only have the dagger.

Tower of Pixel by AlanZucconi 2013-05-06T01:08:00

Really liked the art style and theme. Wish the digging was a little faster and there was some indication of the objective and progress.

Get The Potato by invaderJim 2013-05-07T03:35:00

Impressive how the lights are sync'ed with the audio. Count me as another who got suck on the purple glass box. I tried pressing keys but no luck. I should have tried smashing the keyboard, but this is my last good one left and it's too late to go out and buy a new one. ;D

Untitled by tariflognib 2013-05-16T03:18:00

My cat liked the beeping sounds.

Bounce by Elrobo 2013-05-02T02:57:00

Sort of like throwing spaghetti against the wall to see if it will stick, except in pixelated form

Mondrianalism by TrahDivad 2013-05-07T02:58:00

I really enjoyed this little puzzler. Displaying the area sizes was a good design decision, otherwise it would have been too hard to play. I didn't notice any bugs.

Bezier Challenge by Travis Irby 2013-05-04T05:30:00

Awesome game! Taking a simple concept like making bezier curves and turning it into a game is a brilliant idea.

Digital H by winesays 2013-05-10T23:05:00

Sort of like polygonal heart surgery. But the objective is to stop the heart?

Minimalist Horror Story by MinionStudios 2013-05-05T23:31:00

Really liked the atmosphere and lighting effects. Having the key randomly placed each time gives me a reason to play it again.

Stijl by patrickward 2013-05-10T05:42:00

The color mixing mechanic reminded me a lot of de Blob. I like the 2D platforming approach that you took with it.

Steve Can't Zen by DaanVanYperen 2013-05-06T00:40:00

Really cute and nice storytelling. Why won't they just let Steve Zen?

BASHLAND - Breakout Mario Mashup by McFunkypants 2013-05-09T05:35:00

I never knew that destroying Mushroom Kingdom with a bouncy supernova could be so fun.

Lookin for Love <3 by Filth and Money 2013-04-30T04:17:00

This game seemed to have allusions to Kid Icarus for the NES, such as collecting oversized hearts and falling through the bottom of the screen leading to death.

Sprawl by mktwo 2013-05-16T03:13:00

Nice buildings and shadow effects.

9 by drilltail 2013-05-16T03:08:00

Neat game and nice layering concept. I wasn't expecting much after playing through layer 1, then I was pleasantly surprised. Layer 9 was tough, but I eventually managed to complete it.

O o . by Daniel X. Moore 2013-05-03T03:27:00

I usually don't like hand-holding in games, but I was completely lost on what I was supposed to do in this game.

Potato Gnomes Online by EpaceGames 2013-05-02T04:13:00

I like the three person play controls. I think this would be great for couch co-op, but it really doesn't work on the web since you can't communicate with your partners.

PRISMA by Dark Acre Jack 2013-05-06T00:27:00

Neat concept, but I couldn't figure out why the spheres would randomly change colors on the Patriot level. The music was worked in seamlessly, and one of the songs reminded me of the theme to the People's Court.

PRISMA by Dark Acre Jack 2013-05-06T07:12:00

Thanks for the tip on pressing up/down to change the sphere color. I tried it again and made it to the end. I bumped my "fun" rating up 2 stars and "overall" up 1 star.

Floating Point by 7Soul 2013-05-07T03:21:00

I really liked the two world concept in this adventure game. Technically, the two browser concept is an impressive accomplishment, but I really wouldn't want to open two browsers every time to play a game. I could see this game being a hit on a two screen system like the 3DS, but unfortunately it only allows one screen for input.

Budget Squad by deepnight 2013-05-10T23:39:00

Nice concept of using two submarines with different abilities. It would have been neat if you could control both at the same time, eliminating the need to press space to switch between the two.

Maximalism by Suyo 2013-05-05T09:36:00

The secret level was very interesting.

Lightbyrinth by siondream 2013-04-29T22:00:00

Got stuck in a wall on level 5 and couldn't finish. Otherwise, great maze game!

Min by ekun 2013-05-08T05:50:00

I also thought of it being a cross between Kirby and Mega Man. I couldn't get past the red/blue bird twins boss, since it gave me little time to react, but that's how the bosses in Mega Man were. Good job!

Balls Balls Balls by matthias_zarzecki 2013-05-05T01:05:00

Nice little game. Reminds me of a cross between mini-gold and billiards.

Spellbox by superjoebob 2013-05-06T01:56:00

Nice twist on the classic word find game.

Mondrian Click by CherryNukaCola 2013-05-05T23:20:00

Liked the concept of the ripples blocking your clicks. Really made me think of which circle I should click next.

Controlled State by GameNacho 2013-05-03T03:13:00

This game reminds me of how lucky I am to live in a free society.

Essense by Jorjon 2013-05-06T23:09:00

Really liked the atmosphere in this game. Sort of like being an angel jumping through heaven. I'm just not a fan of the first person platforming.

Drug Hunt by kill0u 2013-05-06T23:29:00

Nice visuals. Took some guesswork to figure out when to press space.

Potatosimplificationarmaggedon by atlantian 2013-05-02T00:03:00

Reminded me a lot of games like de Blob 2 and Unfinished Swan, where the game starts out blank and you use color to bring life to the world. I couldn't find the potato that fixes flatness. Some background music could have helped set the mood.

Battery by onzephyr 2013-05-11T00:58:00

Neat idea. I like how the Game B... err.. um... hand held gaming device tilts as you press left or right.

Wandering Darkness by Graham Weldon 2013-05-05T01:46:00

Too many leaps of faith needed, otherwise a solid game.

COLORFORM by torcado 2013-04-29T03:57:00

I like the idea, but it really needs a way to skip the tutorial messages after you die.

Mr. Minimal by sP0CkEr2 2013-05-02T03:44:00

The graphics are nice, but a walk animation could have made it a little better. Mr. Minimal looks like he's frozen when he moves.

Dodge by yokcos700 2013-05-05T09:57:00

Got to have quick reflexes in this one. I made it up to level 3.

My Peculiar Car by brantkings 2013-05-07T03:52:00

I liked the little gear shifting mini-game. Sometimes the cacti in the road could be a little overwhelming. 85% was my best score.

Colossal Clean-Up by UndergroundPixel 2013-05-02T04:55:00

Took me a few tries to figure out what I was supposed to be doing. I'm one of those impatient types who doesn't read instructions. It's a really nice novel concept for a game. Having the character move more slowly as more junk is picked up was a nice touch. The time constraint on some of the later levels seemed a little extreme, especially when you have to start moving bookcases that can't be thrown out the window.

Starvin Stu's Spud Farm by daydalus 2013-04-29T03:42:00

Darn bird stealing my potatoes! Only problem I had was that after a while it says I have 8 seeds left but it wouldn't let me plant anymore.

'moeba by Oliver Simon 2013-05-10T05:28:00

Cute... now I know what it's like to live a day in the life of an amoeba.

Conveyor by multikorv 2013-05-01T23:52:00

3362 was my best score

ProductionVille by Blinked 2013-05-10T05:01:00

I like the concept and art style. I've always liked the production side of RTSes and cared less for the battles. I was able to place the buildings for production (mine, lumber mill, etc), but I never knew if there were workers harvesting anything. Maybe some meters showing how much stone, lumber, potatoes, etc you have would help.

MIN by s0ulcrusher 2013-05-06T01:35:00

Not too bad, especially after I got to the top and got the weapon. The menace could really give people nightmares!

Minianimalism! by lorancou 2013-05-05T09:49:00

Neat concept. Reminds me of the creature creator in Spore. Interesting use of the body parts to remove various senses.

LD27 — 10 Seconds

Ninja Words by PabloAlexandre31 2013-08-28T01:06:00

This could be a great typing tutor game if it used real words. My final score was 719.

Dungen Dogan's Cursed Crew by Deconstructeam 2013-09-01T04:35:00

Neat puzzler. I made it up to the "Isolated" level, and then my brain shut off. I like the different classes, and how each one has an ability to help you get past certain obstacles.

Robotica by recursor 2013-08-26T09:41:00

Neat game. After about level 20 all the faces started looking the same, and it seemed more like luck if I picked the right one.
Time Spent: 157.25
Level 23
Misses 9

The Thief Stealer Robberies by jwolf 2013-09-06T19:50:00

Neat little adventure game. I really liked the quicksand effect. I seemed to randomly die at times. Not sure if there was a 10 second time limit or something. If so, it would have been nice to have a countdown timer.

Duke Dashington by AdventureIslands 2013-08-31T20:36:00

The sprite based graphics were nice, but the controls really need some work.

Ludum Dare by Dir3kt 2013-08-28T01:39:00

Neat Ludum Dare simulator. I didn't understand why it asks the questions without the meter at first, and then with the meter after. My best results were: #1 Theme #1 Fun #1 Mood #1 Overall #23 Audio #152 Graphics #206 Innovation #451 Humor

SMS Racing by hlink 2013-08-28T01:52:00

Neat concept. Really kept me busy responding to text messages.

Chicken Snatch by tigerj 2013-08-31T20:48:00

Nice retro style game. Worked fine in Opera 12 for me.

Bomb Defuse Simulator 2013 by Aceria 2013-09-06T17:01:00

Neat idea. I would have rated it if I at least could look at the code behind it. Seems like the biggest obstacle with this project will be the player's shadows obstructing the view on the cardboard boxes.

sine by timtipgames 2013-09-04T02:49:00

Neat game. I played through the tutorial, but still didn't fully understand what was happening. I just kept moving stars to a planet until I had enough for a rocket, and then started colonizing other planets. My final score was 664.

Clocked In by rylgh 2013-08-30T06:08:00

Nice novel concept. The transitions between levels look really slick. I was able to clear 11 levels.

Watch and Solve by VagabondEx 2013-08-27T23:32:00

Nice simple game. My best score on medium was 14,308 and my best score on hard was 16,938. At first I kept trying to click "1" first on medium mode.

Cannonslinger by Trilby 2013-08-28T05:02:00

Looks like a pretty good start to a fighting game. Hope you stick with it.

Highway Hero by raincole 2013-08-28T00:21:00

Neat battle engine. I managed to beat all ten levels, but most of them I seemed to complete by trial and error.

GitGirl - Conflict Resolver by ddionisio 2013-08-27T23:44:00

Nice little platformer. The level rotation mechanic was a nice touch.

Breakfast of Champignons by Ravenous Games 2013-09-06T20:03:00

Neat idea and well executed. I think if each customer ordered a certain meal, then that would add an extra dimension to the game.

Space Janitor: Custodial Marine by radmars 2013-09-01T06:17:00

Nice game. I could see this being turned into a full Metroidvania style game. However, it really needs a mini-map added, since it was hard to tell where I was supposed to go at times. I liked all the different ways the 10 second theme was incorporated. The transitions between platforming to space flight reminded me a lot of Dead Space. My completion time was 127.9.

IMPACT by ENDESGA 2013-08-31T20:54:00

Nice auto-runner. Parallax to the extreme. I just wish there was a way to escape the impending doom of the asteroid crash. My best score was 186 in 10 second mode.

Bomb Squad by Levi D. Smith 2013-08-26T17:03:00

Thanks for playing!

Bomb Squad by Levi D. Smith 2013-08-28T15:43:00

Thanks for everyone's feedback.

@michail - Thanks for noticing. It's sort of a running theme in my games, and it all started with my first XBox Live Indie Game "Resistor", where it plays "Lev-Lev-Level Complete" after each stage.

@Orni & @olafurw - I agree, the camera is something I would I like to improve upon.

@ddionisio - Glad that you were able to enjoy it with a keyboard and mouse! Each mouse button (left, middle/wheel, and right) should correspond to one of the colors. I'll make sure to disable the right click popup in a future release.

Bomb Squad by Levi D. Smith 2013-08-29T01:31:00

@BlennosoftGames - I didn't think about Kool-Aid man. That's too funny.

Honestly, I really only wanted the blocks to move if they are hit by a bomb. I'll need to do some more tweaking to the physics engine setting to make the blocks not move when hit by the player, but it sounds like people are having fun the way it is.

Bomb Squad by Levi D. Smith 2013-08-30T01:01:00

@Trilby - Wow, I didn't know there were any other Bomb Squad games. I guess I'll have to change the name if I ever decide to sell it.

Short Nightmares by Martin_Monosys 2013-09-15T19:01:00

Nice atmosphere. Couldn't figure out how to get past the third night.

Sixths by dylanwolf 2013-08-26T09:09:00

Great art style and the guitar background music was a nice touch. I got 5700 (after turning the targets up to the max).

Infernal Bin by vladimirdlc 2013-08-29T01:18:00

Nice graphical style. I sort of wish there were things to collect or shoot.

10 Seconds and The Wizard by michail 2013-08-28T01:27:00

Cute point and click game. Sometimes clicking the disappear books was difficult, but I did manage to make it to the wizard's room.

Keg Quest by Crazi456 2013-08-28T01:19:00

I like the time recording mechanic, and it reminds me a lot of the Adventures of Shuggy. Wish I could have re-recorded guys without starting over, but the R key made restarting easy enough.

Gone in 10 Seconds by panurge 2013-08-31T21:07:00

Funny stuff here. The last challenge was a real pain though. How are you supposed to hold the Z and P keys with one hand?

Duel by zlowrance 2013-08-30T05:43:00

Nice idea to expand on the classic rock, paper, scissors formula. The ten second timer felt just right. However, it seemed like I was able to win (or draw) most of the time with the Duck/Fire Forward combo.

Hot Potato by Tater_hater 2013-08-27T23:58:00

Neat minigame collection. Shoot the Jay-Walker was probably my favorite. A timer showing how much time you have left in each game would have helped. Sometimes I got the same minigame twice in a row as well.

MegaPunch by Nick Weihs 2013-08-29T01:25:00

Really pretty game and the sprite animations are nice. The ever changing levels was a good twist. However, I couldn't figure out the objective of the game, but maybe that's because nobody was playing online with me.

10 Second Topple by Travis Irby 2013-08-27T22:13:00

Fun game! Nice use of the Unity physics engine.

Love Your Pets by DaanVanYperen 2013-09-01T05:30:00

I liked the pet saving concept. The stroyline was good as well. The controls seemed a little bit too sensitive when turning. It was also sort of hard to tell what exactly was a vent, since my pets kept dying.

Ten Seconds To Space by Arcana 2013-08-28T00:42:00

Really like the unique art style in the opening story. I agree, it would have been nice to have gun 1 on left mouse button and gun 2 on right mouse button. I think my high score was 158.

Dinosaur Jr. vs the 1960's by devi ever 2013-08-31T21:34:00

Nice pixel graphics, and the Mega Man warp in was a nice touch. At first I kept standing next to the stage and nothing would happen, but after a few tries I realized that you have to eat a certain number of people to trigger the "fatality" sequence.

Chicks And Dungeons by Kotstulle 2013-09-15T19:12:00

The style definitely takes me back to my GameBoy days. However, some of the jumps are a real pain and it's near impossible to save some of the girls.

Dungeon Crawling Simulator 2013 by MrBlade 2013-08-28T04:46:00

Nice text based adventure game. Reminds me of the days that I would play DOOR games like L.O.R.D. on the local BBS. It would have been nice if there were more choices to make, with menu driven controls.

Royal Defenestrator by BasmanovDaniil 2013-08-31T22:01:00

Novel concept. Couldn't figure out how to get the good ending. Keeps asking for the cat after finding the glasses.

10 Seconds Before the World Ends by Lustdante 2013-08-30T06:02:00

Nice time stopping mechanic. Really makes the player plan out when exactly when to use it. I managed to get to the end with 0.3 seconds left.

Erfingi by olafurw 2013-08-28T20:00:00

Neat dungeon crawler. It started slowing down a bit on my system after I died a few times.

Bluescreen by Everbrave Interactive 2013-09-04T02:27:00

Cute game and nice presentation. It would be good to see more levels, powerups, and enemies.

Crazy Genetist by ratalaika 2013-08-30T05:48:00

Neat puzzle game. Really liked the background music during gameplay. Sometimes the difficulty seemed to be based too much on luck of the placement of the starting piece. If it's near a wall, then it's an easy win.

QuickHunt by MvdLaar 2013-08-31T22:30:00

Nice art style. I was impressed with the number of objects modeled and the animals seemed to be animated well.

Lost in the Darkness by TobiasW 2013-09-04T03:33:00

I liked the light/dark swapping mechanic, and the critter movements felt realistic. The only issue I had was that I collected about 5 or 6 faries, but could never find any "friends". However, I was able to watch the video to see what happened when you cure a friend.

10 Second Sushi by mutilator 2013-08-28T19:52:00

Cute game and I like the clean art style.

Defuse in 10 seconds by archaeometrician 2013-09-01T05:02:00

Nice presentation, but I wish there was a little more to the game than just entering characters displayed on the screen.

1 to 9 in 10 by blackhornet 2013-09-06T19:53:00

Nice little memory game. My best score was 1143 on easy.

Every Ten Seconds A Kitten Drowns by matthias_zarzecki 2013-08-26T09:21:00

Pretty fun game. The controls seemed to be just right. I'm glad all of the bonuses carry over between levels. However, the torpedoes stopped working after awhile. It would also be nice to see how much money you have on the shop screen (although it does only highlight the items you can buy).

Taquito Tower by Magdev 2013-08-28T04:56:00

Great Mexican theme with the burritos and such. Syncing the music with the actions was a nice touch.

Anachroma by vandriver 2013-09-04T03:58:00

Tough game. I like all the different boss abilities. I was able to take two of them down. (Web and Warpmaim). The boss turning into a huge laser after being defeated seemed a little unfair.

Boyfriend Simulator: Feed My Boyfriend by leafo 2013-09-01T19:23:00

Neat game. In the later levels it seemed like the satisfaction rating went down so fast that feeding really didn't make a difference. It also would have been nice to have descriptions on the upgrade screen (before purchase). My final score: Earned 627; fed 61 times; lasted 19 rounds

Barricade by AdamHarte 2013-09-03T03:24:00

Neat game. I like the abundance of enemies and the particle effects when they die. It would have been nice if there were some powerups and different types of weapons and enemies. It also seemed near impossible to lose, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. My final score was 61140.

Coin Rush by lectvs 2013-09-16T17:16:00

Pretty fun game. The one hit death and then game over seems a little harsh.

10 Sec Hero by StabAlarash 2013-09-01T05:18:00

Neat turn based battle game. At first I didn't realize that I was controlling the yellow square around the spaces. Once I got the hang of it, I was able to make it through the locked door. However, I wish the doors I unlocked would stay unlocked for the next playthrough. Same goes for the enemies; Would be nice if you only had to defeat them once, and then they stay dead during the following playthroughs. I really liked the different classes that you can choose to be your character.

Life of a Photon by netguy204 2013-08-30T05:30:00

I liked how the story unfolded as you play through the game. Displaying all the movement paths was also a nice touch. My best distance was 0.086 AU and best speed was 0.6758 C.

Dig Dream by kill0u 2013-08-28T00:56:00

That guy is a running fool. Nice use of time rewind. Only complaint is that the level seemed to be drawn out and repetitive. I never would have known there were more levels if it wasn't for the screenshots.

Monster every 10 seconds by seth vincent 2013-09-01T06:01:00

Nice side scrolling shooter. Only problem that I had was that it seemed like it was impossible to avoid getting hit by the enemy block.

10 Second Dungeon Hero by sP0CkEr2 2013-08-28T00:32:00

Nice start for a dungeon crawler engine. However, the background music was obviously a knockoff of Castlevania, so I'll pass on rating this one.

Moonlight Running by ncannasse 2013-09-05T01:05:00

Usually auto-runners bore me, but this one was really good. I like all the different abilities the player gets.

ROBOT PLANET by GeorgeBroussard 2013-08-31T22:24:00

Solid game. I liked to how you have to balance your health and air. I escaped from Robot planet and had a score of 2450.

Beams by alwaysinbeta 2013-08-28T01:58:00

Neat idea of switching between multiple laser cannons. I wish they would have recharged after a period of time. I got 51 kills and 3 hits, then the enemies quit spawning.

LD28 — You Only Get One

Shovel Master by DBRalir 2013-12-17T04:07:00

Neat game and good work on the sprite graphics. This reminds me a lot of the shoveling mini game in Zelda: A Link to the Past for the SNES.

The Seed by recursor 2013-12-16T04:27:00

Having to balance between the three variables is a nice unique idea. I did manage to grow some berries on my second try.

Shine by AdventureIslands 2013-12-16T05:07:00

Controlling the light with the mouse is a neat mechanic.

1 year in space by Follett 2013-12-24T01:49:00

Neat game. It sort of reminds me of a 3D version of FTL. I didn't fully understand what was going on during the battles, but it looked really nice.

Animalympics by tomc 2013-12-18T08:17:00

This is too cute!

Too Many Guns Bro by DiscoFish 2013-12-21T09:34:00

Wow, the gore!

Wraith by AgentParsec 2013-12-25T07:53:00

Nice use of lighting. It's sort of like a survival horror version of Minecraft.

Charon by jerombd 2013-12-25T08:00:00

I liked the retro graphics and overall weirdness. I couldn't really tell if what I was doing had any impact on the outcome of the game, or if the words at the bottom of the screen had any meaning.

My Dad's the Grinch by xel 2013-12-17T04:50:00

Neat idea. I was able to get all 8/8 after a few tries.

Asteroids:Omega by peacegiverman 2013-12-25T07:47:00

Neat little shooter/puzzle hybrid. The screen-wrap really makes you think about how to line up your shot. Getting killed by your own shot also adds another interesting level of complexity.

Carry the one by goerp 2013-12-17T05:06:00

I really enjoyed playing this entry. Having to place the numbers into the correct position to get the answer to exit the door is a clever idea. Glad to see there is someone else making educational games besides me.

Spirit Cave by patrickgh3 2013-12-16T04:37:00

Nice use of lighting effects.

CUOP DO SACI by leparlon 2013-12-21T09:26:00

Awesome use of the theme!

Showdown by madlee 2013-12-25T08:12:00

Nice pixel animations. The second guy always gets me.

Constrained by Split82 2013-12-16T05:04:00

Nice use of the only get one theme.

Xcape by syawqy 2013-12-21T18:43:00

Nice gameplay. I liked the concept of hooking onto new ships to proceed, but it was hard to figure out how to use the hook. My best score was 5092.

You Only Get One by Xavier 2014-01-06T02:47:00

Neat little puzzle game. Took me a minute to figure out the ladder. I gave up on the stage with the ladder and three blocks.

Azimuth Zero by Joror 2013-12-25T07:20:00

I definitely like the visuals and animations. Even though there are help pages, I felt like I was being thrown in on the deep end at the beginning. It would have been nice if each element (diplomacy/military/science/goods) was gradually introduced into the game instead of all at once.

Doubt by rxi 2013-12-21T09:39:00

Nice lighting effects. The walking and jumping were cool as well.

8bit Rebellion by havana24 2013-12-26T00:46:00

Nice surrealist take on a classic game!

Make Tetrominoes! by Crowbeak 2013-12-24T08:15:00

Neat concept. I stopped at 31 because it seemed like there wasn't any lose condition, unless you purposely mess up. I also like the kanji on the blocks, which makes it somewhat educational.

CodeKube by bentog 2013-12-25T07:37:00

Really neat concept. I just wish there were some objectives to the game.

Shadow Night by ParaPup 2013-12-18T01:55:00

I kept getting humped by the black blob. :D

YOGO RocketFist by _Rilem 2013-12-18T03:26:00

Neat mechanic with the glove. Now I just need a rocket boot... and a rocket helmet... and a rocket cape...

VELOCITRON by radmars 2013-12-25T07:41:00

Nice 3D vector art style. It ran fine in my Firefox. My best score was 2517.

Hope for an Audible Future by Benn 2013-12-18T03:45:00

My best score was 6. It reminded me of Top Gun for the NES with the "lock on" and buzzer sounds.

Spacedentist saves the day by StMatn 2013-12-20T01:53:00

Nice particle effects. Just shows that dentists aren't evil people after all... they fight evil aliens in space on their time off.

hackerStation by lotusgame 2014-01-06T03:13:00

Neat puzzle game and nice graphical effects. Reminds me of a 3D mahjong game.

Rune Raider by nyytroh 2013-12-20T01:42:00

Neat puzzle game. The block sprites were really cute. My best score was 1423.

You only get one arrow by tobbez 2014-01-06T02:58:00

Solid start for a Metroidvania style platformer. I like how you can pick up the arrow and use it again after shooting. The boss was really tough.

YoGo Burger by vinull 2013-12-16T04:59:00

Loving my eggplant burger!

One Gunman by Levi D. Smith 2013-12-16T04:06:00

Thanks for the comments. I could add a line showing the path of the bullet, or maybe make "lanes" with different colored dirt showing the path of the bullet.
There is a bar at the bottom of the Wanted poster showing how much time is left until it changes, but it's hard to look at it and control your character at the same time.

Single Dragon: You Owe N. Lee $1 by Tom 7 2013-12-24T08:22:00

Really cute game. The graphics and sound definitely reminded me old 8-bit beat'em-ups

One Card Hero by dylanwolf 2013-12-16T04:02:00

Nice visuals and music. I like the card mechanic for controlling the character.

Double Cannon by michail 2014-01-06T02:35:00

Nice little game. Really gives your brain a workout by controlling both cannons at once.

Where are you, Santa Claus ? by yoanndeplo 2013-12-21T18:46:00

Would be nice to see a time-lapse of the game and all of the assets being created in 48 hours.

Autonomia by smilingrob 2013-12-24T08:03:00

Great game. The animations look great, and I like how you have to balance all of the bodily functions.

Jejeboy: Mad Shitter by Jejeboy 2014-01-06T04:30:00

Nice. Sort of like Indiana Jones, except with a huge butt instead of a boulder.

Final Order by Fervir 2013-12-17T04:20:00

Good work on the sprites. Was that a huge anteater head following me?

disINTEGRATE by Bloated Hippo 2013-12-17T04:35:00

Nice simple shooter. I was able to get 17 before I was overwhelmed with enemies.

Old MacDonald vs Zombies by rogueNoodle 2013-12-24T08:08:00

I'll admit, this is the first game I've ever played about cleaning up cow poop. My best score was 3598.

The One Ship by tiffi 2013-12-17T04:32:00

Nice lighting and particle effects. The story was a nice touch.

Ye Only Get One Aye by TaleLore 2014-01-06T03:09:00

Cute game. The words of wisdom from the captain were great!

HARPOONS on the MOON by Travis Irby 2013-12-17T04:01:00

I really liked the graphical effect of the harpoon trail. I did see one other person in game, but I couldn't determine how to keep score.

1sland by Exclamation Mark 2013-12-24T01:45:00

I really liked the concept of being stranded on an island. I wish there was some more feedback on whether I was doing the right thing. For instance, sometimes I didn't know if I was supposed to be moving the mouse or clicking the mouse button.

Super Christmas Teeth Basher 5000 by DaanVanYperen 2013-12-16T04:53:00

Kids love those candy canes!

My Old Kentucky Home by emmelineprufrock 2014-01-06T04:45:00

Nice text-based game. Those Spaghetti-Os were delicious!

Airlock One by McFunkypants 2013-12-18T04:05:00

Really neat puzzle game. Took me a minute to figure out what I was doing, but when I figured out that I could switch out pieces it was almost too easy. I was almost able to make the Satellite of Love from Mystery Science Theater 3000. :D

Lost in Space by loxo 2014-01-06T04:38:00

Neat game. It sort of reminded me of Trade Wars 2002 with the docking and buying/selling goods concept.

Asphyxia by Rahazan 2013-12-24T02:23:00

Neat game. It was a little slow to get started, but not too bad once I was able to control the rocket ship.

Really nice fly effects. Reminds me a lot of Eufloria.

Amongst Traitors by DeathBySnail 2013-12-24T02:17:00

Nice game and good work writing all of the dialogue. It sort of reminds me of a cross between the show Survivor with the voting and the board game Clue. I played twice, guess wrong the first time and right the second time.

One Pixel Games by plancien 2013-12-21T09:43:00

I beat game A and game E. Couldn't figure out the others.

One Pixel Games by plancien 2013-12-21T09:52:00

Finally beat the others. I had to look at the Javascript source code to figure out how to beat C.

Medieval Fantasy Island by aayars 2013-12-18T02:23:00

Really nice environment and spell graphics. I wish there were more spell drops around the game world, which would make me decide which one I need to pick up.

Neat game. I really liked the chain-reaction concept.

Nice little minesweeper game. It would have been nice to have a way to mark the bombs and

Bounty hunting by vallde 2013-12-25T07:29:00

Neat little shooter. I couldn't figure out how to beat the worm. It would have been nice if the bullet would boomerang back to you after a period of time, instead of continuously orbiting the planet.

Unibrow by ViliX64 2013-12-21T19:12:00

Neat game, it reminded me a lot of Paper Mario.

[You only get one enemy] (Version 0.000001) by SarmagophilisStudios 2013-12-24T01:51:00

Wow... the screaming!

Magnet Chan by jillytot 2013-12-24T08:30:00

Pretty cool game. I enjoyed the retro style music.

Neat game. I like how you have to balance all the different variables to keep everyone alive.

Lumen by Nelien 2013-12-20T01:31:00

Nice use of lighting effects. This game reminds me of the swimming stage in the first TMNT NES game where you have to diffuse the bombs.

Nice little game, but I got lost in the overhead view part and didn't make it to the party

Hammer Control by pkenney 2014-01-06T02:25:00

Nice little game. The hammer throwing mechanic works well. I liked the snake movements as well.

Not bad. I managed to hit the bullseye on my first try, but wasn't able to do it again.

Abandon your City by floetenmaul 2013-12-24T02:05:00

Nice game. I wish there were more weapons and a mini-map to show where I've been and where I'm supposed to go.

Imposter by Korwegian 2014-01-06T02:30:00

Seems like a good start. At first I tried to click on the imposter instead of using the arrow keys/spacebar.

Politicians Vs Zombies by Hunt_Dialga 2013-12-20T01:36:00

I like the concept and think it could be good if you stick with it.

Dude, You Only Get One! by Raicuparta 2013-12-22T07:47:00

Guess I'm not the only one to think of using the number "1" as the main character.

Last Minute Christmas Chopping by Notch 2013-12-16T04:44:00

So this is what Santa is doing the other 364 days of the year. :D

Boomerang Blade by hamster_mk_4 2014-01-06T02:53:00

Interesting game. The boomerang was actually pretty well done.

Agent Idaho by Mark Ffrench 2013-12-24T02:09:00

Nice GTA style game. I like how the buildings collapse as you shoot them.

That one spot by madflame991 2014-01-06T03:02:00

Nice little puzzle. Took me a while to figure out how to get it lined up correctly.

Try to fly by kill0u 2013-12-25T08:16:00

Neat little game. Reminded me a lot of Jetpack Joyride. I wished the camera zoomed out when the character went offscreen, so I could line up the next jump.

failure by sorceress 2013-12-17T04:41:00

Got a 404 error from Dropbox when I tried the download link.

Ultimate Wish by Carduus 2013-12-25T08:06:00

Really nice art style and neat concept. Sometimes it was hard getting the ball to go where I wanted it to go.

Christmas Cookie Craze by UndergroundPixel 2013-12-18T03:15:00

Santa sure does love him some Christmas cookies! :D

By Your Command! by creative630 2013-12-25T07:32:00

Nice shooter. I found that it controlled better if I just used the mouse to steer and the W key to move forward. It is really punishing once you get more than a few enemy ships shooting at you.

LD30 — Connected Worlds

Planet Wanderer by StuffBySpencer 2014-08-26T05:12:00

Nice game. Reminded me of Blaster Master for the NES.

LD32 — An Unconventional Weapon

Glyph Valley by recursor 2015-04-22T22:37:00

Nice little adventure game! I know getting a FPS up and running in Unity is no trivial task, especially in one weekend. The voice recordings were a nice touch, especially with the different tones for the same spell to keep it from being too repetitive.

Expand-O-Ray by Levi D. Smith 2015-04-20T16:50:00

Thanks for playing!
Splazer - Thanks for the playthrough video
Jeffry - I will check out your game after work today. Looks really good for a first time game.
Paul - Thanks. There is something weird in the Unity engine that keeps you from falling if you hold down the movement key. I'll try to look into it if I get the chance.

Expand-O-Ray by Levi D. Smith 2015-04-20T16:52:00

Thanks Dylan. I used Sculptris this time for the robot head and body, then I switched over the Blender after realizing how difficult it is to make cylinders in Sculptris.

Expand-O-Ray by Levi D. Smith 2015-05-03T07:45:00

@Flayk - Thanks. I did all of the voice work for the game, plus some modifications in Audacity.

Lightbender by dylanwolf 2015-04-22T22:18:00

Nice game! I liked the lighting and particle effects. Using light as a weapon reminded me of Alan Wake.

Sal and Papa by McFunkypants 2015-04-27T05:26:00

The sprites are adorable and I got a good laugh out of the sound effects. Well done!

Mower by insane66 2015-04-22T22:22:00

This is really good for a first time Unity game. I enjoyed mowing over the rabbits with the lawn mower. I definitely give you credit for hand-drawing your art assets and scanning them in. That's something that I've always wanted to do, but didn't know if it could be completed under the Ludum Dare time constraints.

Cornflake Capers by peejaygee 2015-04-22T22:12:00

Nice asteroids type shooter. I like how you used pictures of everything things from around your house.

Ruth Ann Manning by tranzeve 2015-04-24T02:30:00

I'm really impressed that you were able to build an entire web game using the Processing language. The collision detection and controls seemed to be well done, and I like that you give two different difficulty options.

Screwy McScrews by jacobturn 2015-04-22T23:49:00

I definitely think this is your best game so far! I really enjoyed the shooting and the maze design. I'm not so sure about the manji symbols on the last level though. ;D

Screwy McScrews by jacobturn 2015-04-24T00:54:00

By the way, I love the name of your game!

LD33 — You are the Monster

Gleeok by recursor 2015-08-25T04:21:00

Really nice game! The neck controls and fireball shooting worked really well.
One time the game got stuck when I got killed then my last fireball killed Link. Sometimes it was a little difficult to determine which head I was controlling. Otherwise, I thought it was really great and it would be cool to see this concept expanded to include other boss monsters.

Justice Five by randoman 2015-08-30T23:37:00

The controls feel really sloppy as the monster slides around too much. I hit the superman hero a few times, but he didn't appear to take any damage. Maybe the hero needs a health meter.

Protect the Egg by bvanschooten 2015-08-31T00:54:00

Fairly simplistic controls and objective. There needs to be a health meter for your character. I'm assuming that you're supposed to be a monster eating the humans. The sprite graphics could really use some work.

A Bad Wolf King is Hard to Feed by McFunkypants 2015-09-03T05:31:00

Your entry reminds me a lot of Super Mario Galaxy. The camera was really well done. The graphics could use some work, by adding character models and animations. Some additional abilities aside from just jumping would have been nice.

DAMNED by NickZangus 2015-09-03T03:51:00

Really not much to it. Click to show red dots, eat the girl, rinse, wash, repeat. Is there any actual objective or ending to the game?

underworld siege by Benjamin 2015-09-03T05:22:00

It was a little difficult figuring out the gameplay at first. I didn't know that I was supposed to use the green guys to pick up the gold and return it to the boss. I was never able to figure out how to pickup or use the key.

Delicious Cortex by deepnight 2015-08-30T23:31:00

Really not much to it aside from leading the monsters around. The sound effects and music feel like they're from an old Atari game. The game tries to be funny with the popup text over the monsters, but it just really doesn't work.

GH4ST by Shaun LeBron 2015-08-31T00:59:00

This game is really convoluted. I would have rather seen an original concept, rather than ripping off Namco's PacMan. I think if it was in real time rather than turn-based, then it might have actually been fun to play.

tranzeve by tranzeve 2015-09-11T21:30:00

I really enjoyed this entry. Very unique control scheme. The characters are very cute!

Pegakitty Saves the World! by matthias_zarzecki 2015-09-09T05:59:00

Nice! I always enjoy playing your Box Cat themed games!

Jenkaiu by PeYMaN 2015-09-03T04:02:00

Wish there was more to do than just hold space and let go. Not having any CPU AI really hurts this game as well.

Orange guy by jacobturn 2015-08-30T23:22:00

Excellent game Jacob! I think this is your best Ludum Dare entry yet. I really had fun eating the people!

The Catcher Van by refreshgames 2015-09-03T21:57:00

Neat game. Running over people with an ice cream truck reminded me of Sweet Tooth in Twisted Metal.

Melody Muncher by DDRKirby(ISQ) 2015-09-03T04:07:00

So it's just pressing left and right? Seems like it's really lacking for a rhythm / music game.

LD34 — Two Button Controls / Growing

Get to the Points by recursor 2015-12-15T03:53:00

I had a lot of fun with this game. After about 50 levels my brain started to melt. It reminded me a lot of my Resistor game for XBLIG. I'm assuming that the levels are procedurally generated, as I "made it" to level 109.

Frolf by OnlySlightly 2015-12-22T00:44:00

Nice new spin on the classic golf game! I actually made a hole in one on the third stage!

Super Autoscrolling Space Robot GROWZINGER by dylanwolf 2015-12-15T02:40:00

Nice job! I really had fun and the space man was really cute. I couldn't get past the narrow cave part. I was eventually able to get over the first hump by jumping and then immediately crouching, but I couldn't get past the second hump.

A Caucus Race with the White Rabbit by ssshepherd 2015-12-22T00:39:00

Cute characters! Fits the two button theme well.

Arc by ChuiGum 2015-12-22T00:55:00

Neat little puzzle game.

wawawa by sirerr 2015-12-22T00:05:00

Neat little game. I thought it fit the "grow" and "two button" themes perfectly!

Roto by deadpixelsociety 2015-12-22T00:23:00

Nice gravity puzzler. The last level made me feel a little dizzy.

Survive by peejaygee 2015-12-15T02:49:00

Nice simple game. I like how it forces you to keep moving. It seems like the game just keeps going unless you get hit on purpose or forget to keep moving. I wish the wrench shot in a consistent direction, as it seemed to shoot in a random direction every time.

Rockets Hate the Moon by nodens 2015-12-22T00:11:00

I never liked the moon anyway. Always thinks he's so special up there in the sky looking down on us!

Floppy Joe by Team_Friendship 2015-12-22T04:30:00

Poor Space Robot Kyle... what did he ever do to deserve this?

Pressure Run by Phil Strahl 2015-12-22T00:52:00

Nice remake of the classic hand held games of the 80's.

Button Flower by jacobturn 2015-12-15T02:58:00

Great job Jacob! It reminded me of some of my old QBasic games. I was able to avoid the cookies and reach he goal! Loved the ending message! I couldn't figure out the secrets.

OSHIYA! PUSH! by inbetweengames 2015-12-22T01:14:00

I visited Tokyo last year. This is a nice arcade simulation of the train stations. It just needs the jingles that play when the trains are about to leave.

Melissa - A Game of Choice by Imagos Softworks 2015-12-15T02:22:00

Well that was disturbing. I was expecting that the twist would have been that he was standing in front of a mirror punching himself.

Bop 'em Pop 'em Androids by KevKevOnFire 2015-12-22T00:35:00

Nice style and fluid animations. I wish there was enemy AI.

LD35 — Shapeshift

Widget Workshop by recursor 2016-04-19T07:33:00

Really unique idea and fun game. I finished the eighth day and got a promotion (I think). I really like the ability to slow down the conveyor belt, otherwise it would be nearly impossible at some points. Although, the slowdown feature can be abused, so maybe it should have a it could be put on a limited use timer. I was really impressed with the sound effects, which sounded like a real factory!

ShapeFlip! by vinull 2016-04-19T08:10:00

Really nice puzzle game! I got through all ten levels on my first playthrough by pressing random shapes. I played through again the second time to figure out the rules. Strangely enough, I did worse when I actually tried to figure out the rules, but I was able to figure out the rules by trial and error on the 9th and 10th stages. I actually had a Notepad++ open to jot down the effects of each shape/color combination. I won't share it here to keep from spoiling it for others. It would be nice to see this game expanded to a larger grid of shapes.

Shifty Shapes by dylanwolf 2016-04-18T07:52:00

Nice unique puzzle game! I made it to level 39 (46,500 points) then it just got too fast for me. As always, I think the art style is great. I didn't realize I had to manually use my stopwatch until half way through the game.

you must save by jacobturn 2016-04-28T01:59:00

Really nice game! I like how you introduced new game mechanics on each level. I thought the ending was great: "don't you have anything better to do?"

LD36 — Ancient Technology

Khufu's Delivery Service by doublesquare 2016-09-01T05:27:00

Neat puzzle game! The color bonuses were a nice touch. I think I messed up on my second playthrough by dropping the pieces outside of the grids.

AquaDuck by recursor 2016-09-01T05:34:00

I got the error as well. I tried Firefox, Opera, and Windows 10 Edge.

AquaDuck by recursor 2016-09-04T00:30:00

@recursor - Works now! Thanks for fixing. Fun little game and nice pun!

Cave Escape by vinull 2016-09-01T04:32:00

Loved the ending! Straight and to the point! The game did have a Beginner's Guide vibe to it.

Ancient Adventure by Levi D. Smith 2016-08-29T23:08:00

@Splazer - Thanks for playing!

Ancient Adventure by Levi D. Smith 2016-09-01T22:30:00

@Steven Miller - Thanks. I'm hoping to continue development of this game so that you can actually buy things with the collected gems (ran out of time during the compo).

@peejaygee - Yeah, it was a reference to the original Legend of Zelda, where you start out weaponless. I should have added a "It's dangerous to go alone take this" message.

Retrofuture Archaeology by dylanwolf 2016-09-01T04:50:00

Nice puzzle game! I liked trying to figure out what the components do. I finished level 8 (Open the Way) and it stopped, so I'm assuming that was the end of the game.

Legend of the Psychedelic Skull by peejaygee 2016-09-01T05:05:00

Nice little shooter. I liked the different types of enemies and the use of locations around the world.

Clockwork man by jacobturn 2016-09-01T05:13:00

Nice entry! I think your previous game had more mechanics, but good job on getting shooting working. Shooting the bats was fun!

LD37 — One room

Eye in the Sky by doublesquare 2017-01-02T15:10:00

Nice new take on the find the match genre of puzzle games!

ReRoom by recursor 2017-01-02T15:54:00

The game looked really neat from what I played. I couldn't figure out how to press the button at the top of the staircase and jump to the next ledge before the stairs start falling. My FPS jumping skills aren't very good though.

Spot the Different by Paul Sinnett 2017-01-02T16:37:00

Very awesome that you made a Scratch game. I like playing these hidden object games. I think I found everything (got 5 points). Maybe add a message once you've found everything.

Da Vinci's Revenge by jaxturnmir 2017-01-02T16:42:00

Nice little platformer / shooter game! The troll was really well done!

Isolation Knight by dylanwolf 2017-01-02T15:31:00

Nice little RPG! I couldn't beat the wizard, since I just couldn't seem to get the timing of the silence, shield, along with attacking right.

Shadow Fencer Theatre by ShuddaHaddaLottaFun 2017-01-02T17:17:00

The controls seem to be a mess. The move buttons are too close to the sword buttons, so it feels like you're supposed to do everything with one hand. Most of the time I could win by just pressing 'h'. It would have been nice if I could control the sword and attack with the mouse.

Obelisk by Almax27 2017-01-02T16:26:00

Not much to it, and I usually enjoy hack and slash games. Pixel art seems to be really dated.

STEREOJO by ChuiGum 2017-01-02T16:31:00

The wall jumping seemed near impossible on a keyboard. Pixel art looks very dated.

Room by insane66 2017-01-02T14:59:00

Nice entry! I like how the screen gets red-er as you take damage. Lots of enemies and solid shoot-em-up gameplay.

tranzeve by tranzeve 2017-01-02T15:46:00

Really cool looking game. I had problems getting the knight to jump. I played the web version. I also tried the Windows version, but I don't have Java installed on my system so it wouldn't run.

Super Battle Cycle by PowerSpark 2017-01-02T17:33:00

The gameplay seems okay with different guns to collect and different powerups. However, the pixel graphics are really hard to look at and I don't understand why only three or four colors are used.

Zombie Swarm by Magius96 2017-01-02T15:39:00

Nice little zombie shooter! My best was 174 kills.

Your the only person that matters by jacobturn 2017-01-02T14:54:00

Very funny with all the dialog boxes! Great job!

One Room Hotel by TerraCottaFrog 2017-01-02T16:50:00

Really not much to it aside from matching the customers to the rooms. The building seems to be explode randomly for no reason. The pixel art looks really old and dated.

Claustrophobia by Obvious_San 2017-01-02T16:20:00

Nice little shooter.

Ludum Dare: The Game by DDRKirby(ISQ) 2017-01-02T17:02:00

I've seen too many of these game development simulators before. The scoring in the game doesn't match the scoring system or categories used in Ludum Dare, which is okay, but I wouldn't call it "Ludum Dare: The Game". The pixel art looks dated and some simple animations would have helped a lot.
