Good design, however the physics and collisions could be better (but you probably know that).

It's beautiful, but I don't get that mood at all...
Wonderful game, very well-thought and polished, with great graphics and music. I like the fact that nothing is black and white in this game - every decision has its good and bad consequences.
Wow, that's something new! Great job! The 8th level is really hard :)
Simple, but surprisingly fun! I found that any shade of blue was usually a good bet. Really cool concept!
Good game. The black hole doesn't behave very realistic, though.
The art style, level design and mood - everything is perfect in this game. Congratulations!
Nice and polished entry. It seems there's nothing interesting to happen after some 30 waves, but I like it anyway.
Interesting idea. Could be a little more forgiving.
I am positively surprised with this game. Maybe it is not innovative at all, but very playable. Enemies and levels are REALLY WELL BALANCED, it's just nice to play it. Graphics also fits very well. I played it at least 6 times, so it deserves 5/5 for fun :)
Nice mechanics, I like the random level idea. Yeah, it is very hard, but it is OK for me.
Damned cows!
Good music and graphics - minimalistic and nice. Maybe controls could be quite more forgiving, but overall very cool game, I have passed all eight levels.
Maybe there's no real challenge in this game, but the sounds are really awesome! The best one in humor category.
Some tooltips on action and some explanations why is the player dying would be appreciated. But I like the idea very much.
Good one and fine approach to the theme - to bad there's no sound!
Great game and story! I'm happy that I managed to rate it, just 40 minutes before end of judging.
Yeah, you are right on powerups - if I would have more time, they would definitely be here! But, on the other hand - without them it is more minimalistic :)
Thanks for comments! Especially for the tip about keyboard support - next time I will try to support more input methods :)
Yeah, sometimes the enemies go through the walls, but it is still very good and fun entry, with nice music and stylish graphics.
Audio and graphics makes it very pleasant to play and the idea itself is great! The physics are also amazing.
The best entry I've played so far - simple, but excellent idea, great level design and lovely audio!
That's it! I've played it more than 20 minutes, finally getting low score near 0 (but still positve). Loved the idea and execution.
My favorite puzzle entry.
The music plays only once for me, then it stops. I appreciate the idea, but the controls make it really annoying to play.
One of my favourite theme interpretations!
Yeah, I didn't finished it, but definitely will come back to my tower later ;) Pretty addictive game!
Nice and well balanced game. Only the window height could be minimally smaller.
I don't know what to say.
Genius! However, there are some things that need fixing:
1) lack of pause feature!
2) sometimes I lose just because one end of the line decides to not respond to any of my actions (even in the post-compo edition)
3) trains shouldn't leave passengers if they go to the station that accepts this type of passengers (even if there's theoretically shorter route).
Anyway, I've played this game until I got to the top 10. Really addictive :)
Very nice to play with interesting idea and pleasant graphics. Solid job!
Wow, that was really scary. As someone mentioned - I have already read about bats, but it didn't prevent me from jumping on my chair when I first saw them ;)
+ Nice bricks graphics
- too many particles
- no challenge at all
Fun and lovely :)
Yeah, it freezes after few shots, as somebody mentioned - both windows and applet version.
Very addictive! I managed to stay alive over 30 seconds, but it wasn't easy :)
Really good job, nice graphics and good AI. I took me 2 rounds to win.
Your pixel art is absolutely amazing and incredibly stylish! Unfortunately, the gameplay was definitely not as good as in your previous entry. The amount of work for 48 hours is still impressive, anyway.
Classic one :) It's a little too hard / too precise though.
Whenever I pressed 'tab' in Firefox it resets for some reason.
(Yeah, I couldn't resist using tab for autocompletion :p). Anyway, the concept is fine, but it could be more user friendly.
I really like the style of this game, and I think it has great potential, but there are some very annoying things about it - especially the collision detection was too rough sometimes. I hate to be hit by the monster which is apparently a few pixels from me. Also didn't like that 'x' was assigned to shooting - in almost every platform game I've played the 'x' key was used for jumping.
I love your style, but without watching the video I would never figure out how to create giant potato ;)
Really unique game! The great thing about Ludum Dare is that you can find such diamonds like this one, and that they would probably never exist if not this particular event. Awesome!
Excellent job! Very tasty, I love the graphics style and mood. Reminds me 'An Untitled Story' a lot, have you played it?
Simply awesome awesomeness! The best jam entry!
Pretty impressive work, the physics are really nice.
Doesn't work for me (Windows 7) - I get a message "Little Planet of Doom has stopped working" immediately after launching the exe.
A
Absolutely beautiful!
I really would like to play it after looking at screenshots, don't have a Mac unfortunately.
The gameplay itself isn't very innovative, but the art style is amazing.
Cool concept and very well-thought mechanics, but it is really hard. I only managed to get to the 9 (or maybe 10) level.
The sound is great, but as for the gameplay... I don't know what's happening most of the time, or how am I influencing anything. Even when shooting there's no feedback if I hit something or not.
Sorry for pointing this out, but using graphics from Internet (the bear picture) is not allowed under COMPO rules - so this entry should be in fact submitted as jam. (read: http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/2012/04/16/a-quick-reminder-read-the-rules/ ).
Remember to read the rules carefully next time ;)
Fun game, and the music is epic, but...
@ryantouk is right - the only contents that doesn't have to be created in 48 hours are: fonts, drum loops, drum samples and sampled instruments used for music creation. (But not the whole music track). That means you cannot use third-party music in COMPO game. Read more here:
http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/2012/04/16/a-quick-reminder-read-the-rules/
I totally agree with N0_Named_Guy. Anyway, it is a nice game, and it could be even nicer with some music and sounds.
I spent half an hour reading the notes and making notes... then I accidentally signed the contract because I thought it was just another note and wanted to drag it, and all my planning and making notes was worth nothing. Frustrating as hell.
Nice game, and the graphics are also good!
But as for the music I found the reminder-of-rules post for the previous LD, I think it explains a lot (link: http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/2012/04/16/a-quick-reminder-read-the-rules/ ).
"The most important restriction some weren’t aware of: ALL content must be created within 48 hours! This means you are NOT allowed to use graphics, sounds or music previously created by you or others. You are NOT allowed to use downloaded graphics, sounds or music, even if they are free and even if you modify them heavily! The only graphical third-party content you are allowed to use in your project are Fonts. The only third-party audio elements you are allowed to use are drum loops, drum samples and sampled instruments used for music creation.
You are, however, allowed to use Content generators that create graphics, sounds or even music on-the-fly based on parameters given as input. sfxr is a popular example."
So I think you cannot use downloaded music from Internet in compo. You can use drum loops/samples to make your own music, but not use a whole music track.
Too bad there's no option to skip the intro and initial monologue. It takes too much time to listen to it before an actual gameplay begins (and I died a lot of times, so I had to listen to it many times, too).
But I must say it is an amazing job for 72 hours, graphics and mood are really great. I just wish there was some monster attack animation ;)
How am I supposed to wake up? I am hitting 'w' and 's' like crazy and nothing happens.
I wouldn't consider my hardware as low-end ;]
Anyway, I've played it again and was positively surprised.
The game is pretty fun and humorous!
The graphics are really good, but the gameplay is finger-hurting.
Great game! The level design is very smart, I love these dead-end corridors. One of the best I've played so far, would be even better with sounds.
Well done! I like your voice-acting, when I heard 'All bombs neutralized' I immediately thought about Amish Brothers ('All sheep returned to the barn'). It makes your games recognizable, so it's a good thing.
@madk, thanks for the love :)
@Kevlanche - thanks for the tip!
@Dream Of Sleeping - Maybe you are right, but you know, I didn't wanted the game to be 18+ :)
@BlennosoftGames: No, the flying keys are not more challenging than I planned - they were meant to be a hell for player ;)And, although they bounce quite normally, they randomly change the direction a bit every frame, so there is indeed much randomness in their movement. I believe you can get mad at this keys, but it's 100% intended :)
And thanks everyone for comments!
Nice to see something different and creative :)
Nice interpretation of the theme and graphics, but the gameplay could be a little bit more complex.
The werewolf's behavior seems to be quite random: sometimes it can run to the village from the deep forest, but sometimes it stays in the village at night and doesn't attack anyone. Also I didn't figure out what should I do in this game. Not as good as your last entry, but the graphics are still awesome :)
Extremely polished and original game! Really fun to play.
Funny game. The best strategy is to produce lots of clones in the beginning and then start to kill them slowly - it pretty much solves everything :)
Very beautiful game, great audio!
113 raptors rescued! Fun to play, and upgrades are very well thought. Good job!
Very well done! I like the idea and the old man's comments.
It's hard to tell which bullets/shields are water and which are ice. Respawning is very confusing as well - I usually find myself dead again before I could even notice my ship between thousands of explosion particles.
Good job anyway, the audio and graphics are outstanding!
51 cycyles, 3 treasures. Good game! Add some audio so I can rate it high :)
The sound of beating the level is the best! I found I can still play with negative lives, not sure if it is a bug or feature :) Oh, and you should probably have a link to your game's source (just to fulfill the terms of compo).
Nice game, once I figured out that I don't need to click repeatedly to get better grade it was easy :) Too bad there's no audio.
Beautiful graphics for the game made in 48 hours. Some background music would surely add to the game's mood.
Nice game! Reminds me another traffic sim from previous LD - 'Mind the gap'. I like this kind of games.
Is there a reason for enemies bullets to go through the walls and mine not? A little unfair. Also I didn't like the falling mechanics. Anyway, I must say this game has a very nice style and graphics.
I have no idea what I am doing in this game, but the graphics, audio and the idea are great!
The most epic and awesome game I've ever played on Ludum Dare! It has everything: a cat, a boss, good humor and turbo mode! Purrfect!
Interesting game! I really like the controls and the fact that rooms are randomly generated (however I had a situation when I found a girl after fighting with only one enemy ;)
Very interesting mix of real time elements and turn based movement. Unfortunately I only got to level 19 after few attempts, I'm not good in racing against the clock.
Interesting game, but it wasn't clear to me what is the real color of the creature at the beginning. It could be a really nice game if you added some sounds to it.
Nice game, impressive that you've managed to make it multiplayer in such a short time.
One of the most original games I've ever played. Good job! But I couldn't save mister Stone :(
I liked the graphics and audio, but zombies aren't very motivating enemy for me (I mean there are so many games about shooting them).
Nice fast and funny game, really addictive if you are playing with another person!
Really fun and stylish platformer. I also like the music and graphics a lot, especially the creatures drawings.
The idea is quite interesting and the graphics are really good. I agree that adding some more user feedback (more visual effects on hit or a basic healthbar) would greatly improve the overall experience. But I understand you run out of time.
Nice sim game, It was fun to save the world by selling hot dogs :)
Funny game, the first part was the hardest for me. I like the graphics and humor. The movement is a little buggy - something like 10x slowdown happens totally randomly from time to time and comes back to normal without a reason.
Oh, and spikes in vagina are epic ;)
Awesome graphics and sound! What I don't like is that the rocketfist was sometimes turning weirdly and doing unnecessary loops, leaving me without defense for a long time. But it is still an excellent entry.
At first I was thinking it is just another platformer with quite ugly graphics, but then I realized what it really is.
The idea and the puzzles design are amazing, I also liked the sounds very much. Great job!
Nice voice acting and background music, also interesting use of the theme and maths. The aiming is hard at the beginning, but I got used to it after some time.
Yes, it is. You need a good coordination to control them effectively, or play with a friend ;)
Thanks for comments everyone!
I agree that the difficulty curve could be improved, it seems the difficulty is good on the earlier stages, but it needs some adjustment in the later waves. If I would have more time it could be definitely better.
Great game! Very hard to beat, but the final satisfaction was absolutely worth it. Sometimes there are less items on shelves than on my to-buy list, but that adds even more drama to it :)
Maybe the plot and writing are not amazing, but I still enjoyed it. I liked the graphics and i think the game has a potential, especially if you would add some simple sounds and music.
Cool game and very nice execution. I want more levels!
Cool game with pretty graphics! Discovering new types of fish was very enjoyable, and the last one was really huge. However, I didn't manage to get this monster out.
The game has huge potential - it has awesome graphics, good music, I even like the "exterminate" sound - but the jumping sound ruined all the mood for me.
Really cool game, but it lags terribly when a new wave is created. Anyway, it was very relaxing to smash those fuckers :)
Cool idea and the aesthetics, although some platform mechanics (the bouncing platforms for example) could use some more refinement.
I really loved the old school graphics! The entry feels very solid and complete (even in the original version). I also liked the 2-handed controls scheme, partially because I have used a similar scheme in my own entry, so I didn't really needed to get used to it ;)
I like the graphics and audio, but the gameplay needs some balancing - I just stood in one place (not even a corner) and used only sword and I easily won. Anyway, I appreciate the amount of work you put on the details, such as different sword animations on hit and the background music.
Very well done for the 48 hours, especially the graphics.
Nice artwork. You wrote something about sounds in this game, but I don't hear any - is it correct?
If you would add some weapons/armor cards as you have planned, it could be a really fine card game; but right now there is very little strategy in it.
What a crazy idea! Pretty cool interpretation of the theme :)
I've also experienced the problem with the game freezing after being hit by the skeleton in the castle. Nice game overall, but the graphic parts could have been put together better - I mean the trees "floating" on the ground or the background forest texture.
The use of theme is good, I liked the totem idea.
The idea is good, but moving the mouse to the corner after each shot to buy 1 piece of ammo was a little annoying. This action really needs a hotkey.
The gameplay is a bit basic, but marshmallows are cool ;)
Interesting idea. I would really like to see the post-compo version of this with with some more possibilities and maybe the time limit removed.
Great game! Well balanced and very polished. I love the character design and sounds.
The game is simply beautiful. Congratulations!
The gameplay is a bit repetitive, and gathering all the needed wood in just one minute seems nearly impossible. On the other hand, the graphics and the falling snow make a nice mood together.
Funny idea, I really like the background music (and sounds in general) and the supervisor character.
Awesome! Great concept and execution, very hard at the end but the final song was worth it. The best entry I have played so far :)
After a lot of attempts I collected 10 flowers! I like the concept and the mood.
The difficulty could be a bit lower however, or progress smoothly as you run.
Great idea! One of the most interesting games of this Ludum Dare.
Despite the lack of gameplay, I enjoyed it. The audio and graphics fit the humor very well and the idea is well executed.
Wow, the ending is really sad...
The graphics and music make really excellent atmosphere.
I enjoyed all the boss fights, maybe except the brain - I spent half an hour figuring how to beat him, and still find it quite illogical - landing on fireplace doesn't make the ice melt, but a little burning arrow does?
Anyway, amazing entry.
I've played to the end, but I had no idea what I am doing most of the time. Probably just not my kind of game.
