Whoa, that's an awesome idea! Very original and fitting for the theme.
The controls and HUD where a bit unwieldy at first, but the concept is pure gold, which is what LD is all about;) The stacked platforms are a great gameplay device, it really left me wanting more. This is a great entry! Love it!
This is a fun little trip! Of course I'd like to see more, this kind of entry is tough to judge since I know most the issues it has are just due to lack of time. Still though, its good ;)
Did a post-compo update to give players a way to skip past the mating sequence. I thought it was in there in the original entry, but somehow it wasn't! Thanks for playing!
Sorry to hear that Selectra did something to your computer Casandraelf! You're the first to report any such issue, so I'd love to know more about it so I can trouble shoot it ;) Thanks for letting me know!
@Casandraelf Hmmmm, very odd indeed, here's a few things to try if you have the time :)
1) If you're running the exe directly out of winzip, try extracting it and then playing.
2) Try running my previous LD entry so we can isolate Selectra http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-23/?action=preview&uid=11617
3) It's possible that direct x is causing an issue. Here's the link to download the latest version http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35
If none of these work, hit me up at lazybraingames@gmail.com if you want to try some more steps :)
@mes
Hmmmmm, the way its coded, once the mouse is pressed it should start charging no matter what. If your mouse is a bit older, you might have to hold it down harder, since the moment the mouse is released the charge is lost. If that isn't it, possibly just a system restart might clear it up. Let me know if you think it might be something else :)

@Chaoseed
Too bad you didn't get to the end! 999 does charge, but it would take like 10 min lol. The idea was that too much power would cause undesirable effects, which indeed it did, but I do have to admit that I could of better explained that concept in-game.
@ButtercupSaiyan
The higher your power, the longer it will take to charge. So if quick charge times is what you're after, keep your power low :)
An interesting outing indeed! I rather like the core concept :)
What a whacky good time! Crazy eyeballs are kinda my thing, so I love this! Great job!
Good stuff! But, I couldn't figure out how to get beyond the frog mode. Still, it's really impressive for 48 hours!
My cat lived a long life lol. Good stuff!
This is a fun shooter! Not sure how it follows the theme, but a solid shooter non the less ;) Loved the music.
This is pretty interesting, although I couldn't quite work out a real strategy per se. I'd love to see this fleshed out beyond LD :)
No link?
I really liked the idea of a cell dividing, but I couldn't quite muster the floating/moving part. Was I moving left and right the background wasn't? Would love to see this idea worked on a bit more outside LD ;)
I'm not sure what was happening exactly but I had some fun doing it! Kinda reminds me of an exhibit I saw at the San Francisco exploritorium back in the day. Neato!
I LOVE the idea of a memepool. Good stuff! Running out of books and restarting the level kinda slowed me down, but I'll definitely give this one another play later ;)
This somehow makes sense in my mind lol. The audio track really gets the mood down right.
A game after my own heart! Very nice! Great presentation and tunes!
Lovin' the wiggly line animations! Solid concept, nicely executed.
Very well done! Solid mechanics, good execution, and great sound design! Have played about 5 times so far :)
A nifty jaunt into a world of eyeballs that must escape grass fires! If you're clever enough you can use the grass as cover to evade the Beamos-type enemies. The voice acting kept me wanting those magic crystals! I love dodging stuff so this one was right up my alley.
I rather enjoy the addition of the rescue aspect to an otherwise turbo charged rendition of a Balloon Fight-like game. The words of encouragement are also a really nice touch. Defiantly worth a play!
If a cat head shooting hearts is wrong then I don't want to be right! Simple and fun! Tip: hold down the 'S' key until your cat turns pink to perform a charge shot that will alter the path of enemies.
