Pretty to play with. Killed off a few plants before I realised what the shears were doing.

Audio was a bit harsh -- kind of spoilt the otherwise pleasing mood. Fun to play about with.

Very cool concept. I like the idea behind the graphics but they are often hard to see.

very cool

Pretty fun once you know what you're doing. Good show.

Interesting idea.

Loud sound, a bit too much.
Simplistic but fitting graphics.

Fun to mess with.

Audio was ridiculasly bad otherwise ok

I enjoyed playing it for a bit! Deffinatly fun, I wish I had read the instructions first before I started moving the plants, but overall great!

Very cool game... I love the idea and would definitely like to see it expanded. Once I started getting the hang of it, I really enjoyed it! Fun concept!

This is just wonderful. If it had some chill ambient music in the background, I could probably play this for hours.
Even better: Project the flowers onto the walls in my house, and play a persistent version of the game in real space.

I love the 'spirograph' look and feel. I just couldn't quite figure out how to play the game properly though.

I've added skip links to get through my sleep in the the Timelapse. Thanks for all the comments guys. I know the sound is awful, I accidentally had my speakers on very low when I was making the SFX and didn't realize until it was too late. If you're getting stuck, read the wall of text and let me know if there is still any confusion.
Thanks again for checking this out!

I played your in progress version of this, I was really curious to see how you'd go about making this a game. It turned out well! I like this a lot - you tried something new, and didn't stick with something tried and true. I'm going to check out your source, I'm curious to learn the magic behind this. Great work!

This is pretty interesting, although I couldn't quite work out a real strategy per se. I'd love to see this fleshed out beyond LD :)

Big fan of the idea. Implementation was a bit of a pain in the ass, but, meh, I like it anyway.

sclark39 2012-09-02 02:49

Josh, I'd love to hear what you didn't like about the implementation. I'm thinking about continuing working on this so any info about where you think more attention was needed would be great.

Nice visuals, it was fun trying to raise and combine plants. Harvesting energy was also interesting.
