Excellent art, effects, and sound! Very cool shmup.
Very creative mechanic and great puzzle design! LOL at YOGO
Really great use of the one-button mechanic! You should make a simple mobile game of this.
Really like the art, the different firing modes, and the unique enemy waves. I had a lot of fun playing this one.
I think I enjoy this version of chess more than the original. Really good idea and very well executed. The music and sound set the mood really well too.
I really like the concept of holding space so you automatically leap off the edge. Unfortunately I couldn't play very much because I am one of the mythical people who learned FPS on an inverted mouse.
Nice game. I really like the projectile design and theme usage. Art is superb.
What a clever geometric language and grammar! It was a very fun game. Enjoyed running into the forest and deciphering messages in time to make world-saving replies, haha. Thanks mum!
Really good art theme. I drooled at the color transitions between day and night. The running animation is great. Really good minimalism on the art. And nice victory dance at the end, haha.
This is my favorite. Absolutely hilarious.
Cute game. My favorite things are the subtleties: sock's red band on health meter to signal the dirt limit, kicking around in the water to wash your socks faster, and robots not caring about wet socks, haha.
Very neat use of gravity. I think the range of trajectory certainty conveyed by the fading paths.
Great concept. Really nice art.
I killed so many people before I learned to use my horn! I love the jaywalker and car behaviors. Really funny moments.
Very cool concept! I love how the emerging patterns look like brain neurons.
This is really funny. I was laughing after every mistake. Good use of the comically large close-up of your result too.
A little charming and a little disturbing. Well done.
Confirming a segmentation fault on Mac OS X 10.7. 10.8+ indeed.
Left me dejected at the end. Very good use of the theme.
I like the literal interpretation of "geometry" wars. The downgrading of the polygons until they reach collectible points is a nice touch.
this made me cry. the monochrome effect on objects is a really good way to drive the way story and interaction. and that ending..
Love the yoshi's island type art and the megaman blocks. I like the message communicated by the disabilities. Glad I could actually go through the game being just illiterate!
That went from absolutely hilarious to really dark! Very fun experience and an interesting take on the whole Mavis Beacon thing.
Thanks guys. And sorry, I ran out of time before I could add more content. Wish I could add more levels after the deadline.
This was my first jam, so I spent too much time on computing the projection and designing the visuals to hint things like rotational/linear acceleration and the wall-bumping flash. I do plan on going further with the idea next year.
I like the representation of human connections, and the widening of your perspective as you get older. Very simple and symbolic. Beautiful music and mood.
I can verify that the builds run on Mac OSX 10.7 and Ubuntu Linux 12.10.
Looks really good and fun idea. I played the web version, and the enemies would sometimes leave the screen, so I couldn't shoot them.
Really like the visuals. Beautiful.
I love it! hahaha
My favorite entry so far. Love the spiderman swinging. I like the typography fixed to the map as well.
It actually reminds me of an old favorite, spiderball4k. I once thought about how I might make it accessible for mobile, and you absolutely nailed it by creating the one button version of it. So here's my vote of confidence on your Android version of the game. It's the perfect game for mobile.
Really fun puzzler mechanic, theme, and art. Really well done.
I actually sat there a minute in the beginning waiting to see if you would acknowledge that I didn't want eternal happiness, and I tried to find a way out without picking it up. I guess I could've closed the window at that point, but then I got lectured for just trying to progress the game :(
Well done on the theme and the destructible level design! And I was happy to hear zombocom narrating it :D
Great art, humor, ocarina, and theme usage :D
Fantastic idea. This'll get your brain going
I like the difficult and fun mechanic here. Judges are a hilarious touch.
What a great idea!
I like how you lose the parachute and have to live with the fact that you're going to die no matter what, and it's just you and time before you're dead.
Nice falling animation and the air physics felt really good.
Music, graphics, mechanic, and mood were all pretty much perfect. Really enjoyed this one.
I will say that I am a little vexed at the difficulty of the brain, even after finding out how to beat it. I suppose if you're drawing inspiration from Dark Souls, that frustration would be the nod.
To word this carefully, I just wish I could see the full game without burning so much time that I could spend checking out all the other great games here.
Art style is really cool. I'm in love with nonstandard camera projections. I would be looking at your shader right now if your source was posted!
Very funny idea and very fun game. Really enjoyed it.
This is hilarious! I was rofling as hard as the characters.
Amazing idea. Love that motion in one dimension doesn't affect the other. Mind-bending.
I love this so much
take all of my 5's. uniquely fresh
really nice art. I had trouble remembering which tentacles were which keys. and the blasted ship just wouldn't go down even after plopping a tentacle over its hull, lol
excellent all around. nice minimalistic theme. really enjoyed the writing and music too
Amazing!
I was thoroughly surprised by the writing here. Really happy to see thoughtful writing on the consequences of the actions taken. Love the theme of the monster trying to temper his power as a God figure.
I like the creepy tree theme and the cannibalizing monster here. I was confused at first but the tutorial graphic helped and someone mentioned the four larvae at a time strategy which worked for me. Clever balancing of resources and clever clicking of elements to grow, take, and scatter life.
post-jam link seems to be down though
beautiful art in this game. nice little mechanic too. the dialogue at the end made me laugh
hilarious! love the blurring of bigfoot and the camera chasing concept. well done
that was really really fun
Hi, the reason I didn't add any more levels in the post-compo is that I discovered an exploit in the mechanic that can break the game. It becomes really easy to guard intersections, or just sit on the fruit. I don't have any more time to try to rebalance it somehow.
Thanks for all your comments
I didn't like the music, but please win the innovation category. love this fresh take on the snake game.
i think you accomplished a really nice atmosphere. graphics and audio are great, especially like the floor dropping transitions. wish I could see the rest of the game on video. (don't have windows here)
Oh God, I need to play something happy now. Too scary. Truly made me feel like a monster.
(nice use of the theme, and loved the filtered videos.)
There's something really funny about everything here. The puppet-style wind-up of the arms and the running animations really got me. Awesome concept and execution. The music was confusing but it added to the humor I think.
enjoyed this! didn't survive the last level, but I like the sprint+roar strategy
That music was a really nice tribute to the original. Love the sketch style too. and it was fun! I was screwed when I was the only ghost left, and just refused to let them eat the last pellets. good times
beautiful experience. really great music at the title. audio throughout is great. gameplay was fun to learn.
I read the source code to answer some questions...
1. The warden doesn't earn money. He earns a triangle for every dot in his completed chain. (no wonder he was killing me!)
2. mutation of the heads doesn't seem to indicate anything (just a random fraction of game duration)
This game is just pure joy. This wins it for me. art was perfect, chase physics spot on, feel like a kid again
fun crate puzzle! I envy how fast you can work too
clever little game! i love how the little people jump out of his way
There was something classically funny about the musical intro. Really loved that. I like the indignant spike. Had trouble the controls and getting Dave to jump at the right time, but I'm no monster
really like the concept. I was biting my nails after making a sale, hoping the car wouldn't explode. but those damn premium all weather floor mats...
art was magnificent. the makeshift elephant noises really hurt the experience, but everything else was top notch.
Exciting narrative, amazing how I can be scared of a few dark pixels against the sunset. btw, I couldn't find the google doc you were talking about.
Music was really great, liked the pixel art haircuts and characters. harvesting the forced awkwardness of a situation, I like it
cool mechanics and nice level progression. i love puzzlescript games like this
insanely great. so funny
Really cute game. subtleties I liked were the little chomp graphic and change in music for the level selection screen.
yup, this is really cool. fantastic work on the art
