Not bad. Looks and feels great. Movement speed might be annoyingly slow but that also increases the tension a little.

I think a little in the way of landscape/terrain could have gone a long way. It kinda felt like I was just floating in a void a lot of the time, with only the pinpoint beacons of the sheep markers to judge any movement.
Very surreal feeling without any markers of indication of movement, when I'd change directions I felt like I was float through space ad time.
Overall I loved the concept, very calming and peaceful being a tentacled sheep eating wolf monster that may or may not have been inspired by el chupacabra.
Well done!
Interesting entry. The poem is just awesome. I was going to nitpick about how it would be nice to see how much HP has the enemy and that "Don't meddle in the cave..." part was shown after the voiceover, a little late. But then, I got to the ending. Pretty great. Awesome. Loved it.
Damn, I wrote my comment in a wrong window (I try to rate a few games at a time). Sorry. It was meant for a different game - see @baykush_figtree game if you're interested.
Regarding yours. I definitely like the overall feeling, though I always ended up being shot, not being able to get all the sheep. The mood is great, the tentacles look pretty, the music is pretty neat. It does feel a little like moving through the void, with the sheep moving away - some static graphics on top of the terrain would give a sense of movement. Other than that, I'd really like to grab all those sheep, but I seem to fail miserably. :)
Sorry again for the mistake in previous comment.
Lol thats ok, thanks for the feedback and I think I might check out that other game :)
Very creepy, good job!
Great monster design/movement!
Like the control scheme, very simple to play but still fun. The movement feels a bit confusing because you don't really feel or see the monster moving, maybe some more feedback would work on that. The graphics are simple but effective. Good game overall!
The monster looks great! I expected a bit more challenge, but good entry :)
Nice mood. Movement a little strange, some times annoying. But I like the idea in general.
The avatar is very nice. i guess there should be a bit more ennemies patroling, maybe they could react to sheep sounds. Also the level is very wide which is a bit annoying (maybe dots could change alpha to say how far is the sheep ?)
Nice aesthetic! The mood is good and the player artwork and heartbeat sounds especially add to it. Feels like this desperately needs just some more content to make it more challenging. Good entry.
The tentacle shadow wolf (scary) looks great!
@psypol I've been thinking about adding something to indicate the distance from the sheep and I really like your alpha idea. I was thinking about implementing some sort of numeric distance counter over the dots but that would clog up the screen too much, however the alpha idea solves that problem and retains the games simplicity, cheers :) I'll add it in a patch before I release the full post-compo version.
Personally I quite like having few farmers as it makes it more of a shock when you do bump into one, especially if you're focused on chasing a flock of sheep. Helps build the tension since you know one could appear at any minute.
Thanks for the feedback :)
nice game, I did a similar one with a sea monster :-) One thing I noticed, it is quite hard to get away from the enemies once they spotted you.
I really liked this! This game really looks nice ^_^ I would have enjoyed more mechanics that spiced of the gameplay to more than just running after the sheep. Maybe a dash ability etc.
Loved the mood of the art and sound design. Eating sheep was fun!
The game has a nice atmosphere. I really like the animation of the creature. It would be nice to have some kind of limited dash ability.
It seems we made two pretty similar games indeed!
Avoiding the farmers is quite challenging, but it pays off when you get to hear the satisfying sound of a sheep being devoured alive. The heartbeat strengthens the mood and adds to the experience.
Oh, and I really liked the tantacles. The tentacles are totally awesome.
Sound effects were a little loud in comparison to the rest of the game, but that's less of a harsh critique than just a little note. I loved the way the main character moved... very floaty, very ghosty. Big fan.
Nice movements for the tentacles. I like aesthetic and mood. Well done ++
Whoa! Nice!
Nice work on the main character! The challenge is also pretty good! :)
The dark graphics, together with the audio, creates a nice mood for the game. It's even more intensified by the way the main character moves and the speed. :P
Couldn't avoid any farmer! >_<
Visually appealing monster and setting (had a bit of an "void" feeling) but tiresome gameplay. fifty sheep spaced out over a seemingly huge map made for a quite lengthy goose chase. You could try enhancing the movement speed or shrinking the map - maybe adding some black sheep that are faster/ harder to catch.
And taking into account "Writhe" and its gameplay - your tentacles looked awesome (nice work by the way), but you could have given them some use.
This is nice! The tentacle animation is great, the gameplay is simple but strategic. The game feels very complete.
I got down to 6 sheep on one playthrough before I got nailed by a farmer. You do eventually figure out how to avoid them, but I don't think my trackpad was precise enough to do it well.
More than once, I jumped when I heard the gunshot of a farmer. Good mood. The sheep dots around the edges worked well as directional indicators.

This was a pretty good game. I loved the tentacles coming from the back of the monster, it just looked really cool! Also the sound effects were pretty good. :)
Really dig the tentacle animation, very creepy, and when teamed up with the visual filters, haunting tune and sounds..the sniffing of nostrils, beating of heart, and bleating of fleeing sheep...well it all makes for a mood of eerie surreal absurdity. Keep it the heck up.
Cool game! Minimalist but such a great atmosphere. It's 5 stars for me! I can't think of anything negative in this game.
I love the look of the player avatar, but the game was really slow paced for something intended to be completed as fast as possible. The sheep being so far apart and numerous made it feel drawn-out.
really like the art for the tentacle wolf. wasn't able to dodge the farmers very well. cool radar border btw
that was great, very loud gunshots!!
I rather enjoyed the game. It built up tension nicely and the animation of the beast was great. The audio suited what you were after quite well bringing enjoyability to the rather simple mechanics. Volume option?
Great game, good mood with the music and the pulse. You should give the player more than one life though, and smaller levels.
But well done, was fun to play.
Great mood, tentacles are fantastic, really elevate the game
Those tentacles look really nice! Being such a scary beast I feel sad that I could not kill those trigger happy farmers.
Great mood achieved. Nice graphics, and loving how did you add those tentacles. It's going to be very interesting taking a look at your code. Thank you so much.
The animations of the creature look really nice, but as far as gameplay it seemed really empty
Great graphics and great mood. It lagged a bit on my computer. Not sure if that is a normal issue for everyone.
Interesting game, good mood!
Lovely graphics, neat game. I included it in my Ludum Dare 33 Compilation video series, if you would like to take a look :) https://youtu.be/0AIZTu6ja8E
