LD31 — Entire Game on One Screen

Snoika Man 2014 by Larzan 2014-12-21T07:01:00

Interesting concept, the ending with negative points makes me feel sad though and kind of depressed that I'm not good enough but that may just add to the mood of the severity of melting polar caps.

I found one annoyance that if I was dashing real quick and ended up dying I would spawn back at start and accidentally dash off into water again in the direction I was last pressing.

Maybe make it so when you respawn, it pauses the players movements for a split second to give the player chance to stop pressing keys and see he died and get ready to try again

Nice concept though, it was quite fun and frantic

Tv Simulator 2015 by Carl Graves 2014-12-28T21:10:00

Really captures the felling of endlessly browsing the disappointment of TV. Awesome interpretation of the theme.

PhotoBound by PIXEL^3 2014-12-24T05:41:00

This a fully polished game with a great concept that almost does the Portal effect where it's a weird mechanic to wrap your head around, but when you do, it's simply amazing and eye-opening.

Kind of wish you could pickup the camera from above, as you can sometimes get it stuck in corners easily, but that's a minor issue I guess.

Overall this a perfect example of a clever innovation to a massively overused and abused genre of 2d pixel-art platformer. I can honestly call this the next Braid style indie game!

Can't wait to see where you take this post-Jam!

Rome's Little Step by Tuba 2014-12-10T03:46:00

Fun game! I like the vector style graphics (that's something you don't see much)
confused about the circle since I could actually travel outside it but hey, who am I to judge random included object that serve only a decorations *cough*cough* my random distracting white diamond*cough*cough*

Paws of Fury by ehtd 2014-12-28T21:52:00

Well someone has Garageband!

Oddly fun game, has one steep difficulty curve to it though....I think I broke my mouse.....and my hand.....and my self-esteem to be kitten king :)

Leaving by My Sweet Whomp 2014-12-10T05:50:00

Fun game and gorgeous graphics, a little hard to figure out how to first discuss buying with neighbors though

Tightrope Theatre by AdventureIslands 2014-12-10T04:22:00

I adore your sprite work! And somehow I just experience the feeling on tightrope balancing in a 2D game! What?!

Drop by pinkmonkeyhead 2014-12-28T20:56:00

This is amazing amount of fun! Well done! I like how even though it's a 2D puzzle based game you still incorporated 3D physics and depth. Even when I couldn't solve a level, I still had fun just making random ball based waterfalls and playing with the physics!

Talking Heads by ponk 2014-12-10T04:18:00

Ha I see what you did there!

The Paper Dance by TravisChen 2014-12-11T03:58:00

WOW! Stunning and beautiful! I will say though, that the movements seem a bit fast at first when you're first starting out...maybe start slower and slowly ramp them up as the player would get more confident with the controls

Back Home by Vandash 2014-12-27T22:06:00

Inspired by Interstellar I see. Impress what you were able to accomplish in such a short period of time!

Hard Winter by Taldius 2014-12-11T04:10:00

Interesting concept, not sure where to get the turrets, but the waves being slightly hidden by the maze was a cool suspense

Castle Dice by cacciatc 2014-12-10T05:30:00

Fun little game for such minimalistic animations. I will say the drag and drop action was a little hard to preform sometimes do to the drop zone being unforgivingly small in size..but then again I'm using a laptop touchpad

Super Snow Girl by Christina Antoinette Neofotistou 2014-12-10T06:23:00

So much female version of Scott Pilgrim good-ness! Can't wait to see this expanded Post-Jam!

The Murderdome by RyanNielson 2014-12-20T01:19:00

A very polished game you have here! The controls and basic game mechanics worked flawlessly for me, really fun game!

My only suggestions would be that maybe after you kill all the enemies you make a flashing arrow towards the door because I sat there my first round playing waiting for more enemies to spawn or something.

Second suggestion would be give some red overlay or edge and maybe screen shake when you get hit, it's a little hard to here the "you've been hit" SFX over all the firing and madness and I don't have time to glance up and see my health bar as I'm frantically shooting

Other than those minor things, you have a very polished and fun game, great job!

SmashTower by Spierek 2014-12-10T06:11:00

Single mechanics yet fun game. Might need to tighten up the controls, they feel a bit out of touch or just ever so slightly floaty to me.

This feels like one of those games that feels and plays great when the controls are perfectly tightened up. (by controls I mean press of key to movement and inertia of character)

Shellshock by madlee 2014-12-08T06:42:00

Superb game my friend! Absolutely inventive idea and great job implementing a beautiful theme with a cohesive flow of graphic work!

Baa Ram Ewe by renatopp 2014-12-12T05:49:00

The amount of cuteness in this game should be illegal, post-jam more levels for sure!

discrepancy by reheated 2014-12-28T21:47:00

Very amazing concept, and I enjoy the storyline you added to a puzzle game...I was confused on level 7 with the two loops...every time I made two loops...one edge would touch or one corner or something and it felt like the game wouldn't see that as two separate loops.

Spik by S0rax 2014-12-10T20:49:00

Controls and speed feel perfect! Simple yet fun game, I think the only bug I found was sometimes a red bar would spawn over a gap making it impossible to continue without hitting it. Other than that, great job, hope you enjoyed JS

2048 Souls by Rosencatz 2014-12-10T06:45:00

Awesome concept, I wish the numbers meant how much damage they take, and you randomly get lvl ups on the map to try and collect so you become you're own worst enemy as they get stronger!

Definitely keeping working on this a make a Post-Compo build!

Darumaban by alfadur 2014-12-16T02:44:00

Interesting concept, I like how it's making snowmen. Keep up the good work

Wandstep by celeron55 2014-12-17T03:23:00

Very odd game mechanics, but it was kinda fun to try and figure them out

1 Screen Hero by zerocreativity1 2014-12-20T04:38:00

BEYOND AMAZING and 100% polished game you have here!
There's not a single thing I would change other than I didn't understand you stand on the platform and go to the next level when the timer is below 1 second.... I thought maybe the tile wasn't working right at first.

But that is a clever mechanic for encouraging collection and completion of rooms instead of speed runs for survival

Well done!

Recall by snipercommand 2014-12-11T02:55:00

Interesting concept for an expandable mobile version of Simon Says

ULTRA REKTAGON by Harsay 2014-12-19T05:48:00

I like the visual style of this game a lot, I can see your reference material for sure...but then again I used the same reference in my game...hahaha

Controls maybe a bit too twitch but, then again this a style of game that you have to learn and train upon to master.

Well done, I'd love to see an expanded version with more random generated levels of difficulty and patterns and maybe some cool monochromatic color schemes instead of the super dark black and grey

To Continue by raincole 2014-12-11T02:39:00

Interesting concept, it would be more fun if it was sped up a bit, but then again I'm just a fan of twitch games (hence mine)

Anyways, great concept!

Defense the Base by Jordan Kniest 2014-12-08T04:48:00

I liked it, quite fun. Added visual and audio feedback would be cool, like a sound and lighting up the purchase button when and upgrade is unlocked and anding general SFX. But I must say: I love that fluid camera swoop animation when you go into the store!

OMNI by Noah Ratcliff 2014-12-10T01:55:00

Beyond amazing gameplay and use of theme! There's not a single thing I could critic about this!

Loving the spinning pinwheel/beach-ball of death!

Insecticide by Nate Kling 2014-12-10T20:59:00

Wonderful game! Completely week thought out and I like your solution to shared screen strategy! (That's something I been debating how to do for a personal project for a long time with no success!)

Game of the Probability Goose by Alexandre Szybiak 2014-12-23T05:03:00

This is super cool! It finally takes the one part of board games I dislike (pure luck of the roll) and gives just enough strategy to make it super fun for me!

One small critic is sometimes my enemy's piece would be so tall it blocked what was written on the square above him and I found that a little annoying and had be scared: is good is it neutral is it a -3? I can't tell!

Maybe make the enemy or player pieces semi transparent when travel vertically

The Blues by jrbitt 2014-12-10T03:24:00

Awww! The plants have come for my soul!!!

Haha jk, neat concept, lends itself to a game that needs no instructions...unlike mine...

☃ by gre 2014-12-16T02:30:00

This concept is HILARIOUS! Just needs some great kooky theme music to help the mood, the 8-bit sound FX aren't doing it for me, they kinda clash with the newer style, vector graphics

UON by cabezotta 2014-12-10T02:59:00

Fun and challenging game! It looks kinda like a concept I almost made for this LD (although mine was more bullet-heck style on a 3x3 grid)

Glad I didn't because yours would take the cake by far! Great job!

Coin Toss Simulator 2015 by Mekuri 2014-12-27T02:02:00

Very humorous game! I wish I could walk around for better angles and that there were more things on the table, since the dishes were the only real multiplier worthy location.

Overall, you got me to play a game about flipping coins on a floppy drive and freaking out over that ticking timer! That in itself is a sign of a great game! Well done.

Titan by notajetski 2014-12-09T20:53:00

I love this game, the graphics are simple, but perfect and the concept is beyond amazing! Well done! The only issue I saw was when traveling to a window you've been to, I had to click the window to activate controls again...which was a bummer..but oh well

Fibonacci Grid by Andrew Adams 2014-12-08T04:56:00

Fun concept, I can see this as a mobile game, easily.
I did have an issue where the GUI overlapped the times (I know, Unity GUI issue) but it would be nice to drag and move around to see the expanding lines go past edges or under things

Bridge Troll by Parappa 2014-12-27T02:29:00

Very awesome concept! Somehow I was able to finish it :D

I think this is all because I typed "speak" and he said "I don't know how to speak" so naturally my brain went, love, I don't know how to love...I don't know why this seemed sadly funny to be so I tried it....anyways after kick some old dudes and punching air and them embracing by new friends I know have that old school techno song "What is Love? Baby don't hurt me, don't hurt me, no more!" stuck in my head!

Anyways, I digress. This is really cool what you did, deals very much like scribblenauts. Keep up the good work!

Laundry Day by Omiya Games 2014-12-20T05:17:00

Very humorous game concept, I kept finding myself washing clothes over and over without really know why I keep putting them back in! That's a sign of a great game!

I wish I had a pile of trinkets or something so I can look through see what I've gotten and how many I need

Scan Lines by KilledByAPixel 2014-12-10T04:13:00

Creative and unique idea! Way to get a lot of levels on one screen!

Save the Giant by drkrunk 2014-12-10T06:04:00

A bit buggy, but beyond gorgeous, I always loved this kind of art-style. Hope to see a Post-Jam version soon!

Do You Want to Build a Snowman by TheThirdOne 2014-12-09T02:38:00

Instructions are unclear, but the idea is humorous.

BEARPG by MaxguN 2014-12-08T04:19:00

Good start to an expandable game, needs a retro 80's style arcade soundtrack to keep that brawler vibe going

BEARPG by MaxguN 2014-12-12T01:14:00

Hey MaxguN, thanks for the review on my game! If you want to make a rhythm game, feel free to download the source code and hack'away. Happy deving!

Fruit Factory by abdurrahmankh 2014-12-24T06:03:00

Odd controls to this game, it felt like I was controlling a micro RC helicopter than a responsive game character that I needed to react to the demand. Overall you have a great concept and the faces and personalities was a great touch but maybe tone done the slipper physics a touch and you'll have a universally great game concept to publish.

Maybe add a larger warning for mistakes or make the screen flash red when you're getting close to failing. Also make the UI text color white on the dark blue and pick maybe a san-serif font (like Ariel or Helvetica) to make your graphic design match the factory, computer driven, smooth pixel art style (just a graphic designer's suggestion there)

(PS: if you didn't make the music, you should opt out of the rating category)

Blacksmith's Apprentice by CTATZ 2014-12-10T04:58:00

Interesting and frantic little game, isn't it? The shadowy enemies are a little too hard to see though

One Screen Racer by disease 2014-12-17T04:07:00

This is agate that can really be expanded upon! As a fan of racing games, I loved it, the drifting physics are so much fun. You calibrated the driving controls real well!

I will say, tone down the grass slow down though, make it still slow down, but not so sudden.

2 Towers by peterentwistle 2014-12-09T02:44:00

I agree with the others, it's a bit too easy to win but I enjoy that you made the music (I appreciate good made music...hence my game)

On the bright side, your game is bug-free!

Guambo by ramonparaiba 2014-12-27T22:10:00

Creepy clown boss....Very inventive and gameplay mechanics and concept (also nice soundtrack production line up there!)

Boss Rush by Nick Weihs 2014-12-23T04:47:00

Interesting game, great animations. Way to difficult for me (I always failed at boss battles haha)

Do love the the graphics work, keep up the good work

Dog Astronaut by kitschlich 2014-12-17T03:58:00

It's simple, but very cheerful and nice. The animation and music really help making this a very polished game

Moving Melody by ChuiGum 2014-12-10T03:06:00

Looks great! Thanks for the comment about this on my music game post!

I need to check this out on my other machine (logged on my OSX right now sadly)

Moving Melody by ChuiGum 2014-12-12T04:59:00

Nice job the way you did the collection of coins and color changes to music (how did you get the coin collection to the beat even as the player takes alternate routes?) I will say I would peeper to see the guy collide with the wall and fall (almost Mario style) than just freeze up

Anyways, great job!

One Does Not Simply Walk Into More Doors by Wertle 2014-12-11T04:03:00

So charming and simple! I adore the visuals and whole concept!

Galaxia by greysphere 2014-12-08T05:40:00

I played this for WAY too long! Lol! Good job

20 Days at Sea by bitserum 2014-12-10T01:21:00

BEAUTIFUL game! I love everything about it. Great job on the minimalist way of tutorials too

Mini Minotaur by ljdp 2014-12-08T06:45:00

wish I could play it, the web version just displays a massive glitchy mess, but I don't think that's your fault.

Mini Minotaur by ljdp 2014-12-09T02:04:00

Great job, such a clever use of the puzzle mechanic that gives that true mood of being stuck in a confusing labyrinth with a minotaur who know exactly where you are!

Super Death Grid Of Death (with deadly beats) by Stending 2014-12-23T01:11:00

Very interesting game concept, it's like Sounddodger + but with a lot more control over the ability to set up precise movements and get the player to move to the beat...although this worked against me as I always waited unit the beat to move which doesn't work with those lasers haha

I like the menu and you give a very unique UI/UX presentation (something I'm hoping to do with mine, which is also a music based game in Unity :D )

Overall I definitely want to see a Post-Jam version of this very soon!

Yuki and Snow by Raiyumi 2014-12-12T02:59:00

Wonderful job of the mood of the game and the pixel art is superb, I wish you could examine something after you pick it up though, because I accidentally pickup something too quick and didn't read what it was

My First Dare, Complete!---Estelar by qiaofeng00oo 2014-12-10T06:35:00

Gameplay is a bit on the slower side and takes some patience, but fun little concept!

Squareon by okkolobr 2014-12-20T01:13:00

Overall I really enjoyed this game, can easily be ported to any touch device too! I kinda wish there was timer noise or some sort of music that got faster and faster to let me know when time is running out because I'm too fixed on the colors to look away at the clock.

Really challenging game! Specially with lighter colors mixed with brighter colors (i.e.: bright green will always stand out compared to every other color, even if it's not the majority) but that's what makes it so fun!

Well done concept, I hope you continue this post-Compo

Super Ultra Fishing Adventure Deluxe by scias 2014-12-08T03:54:00

I like the comment above^
I captures the feeling of fishing perfectly and if you added upgrades and goals that would make for a fun little game, good job.

My only suggestion is add some sound FX or light music

Mobius Dungeon by nesis 2014-12-12T03:05:00

I think I just saw the future Zelda overtaker! Beyond well done and polished game and concept!

Spiral Wings by Joe Williamson 2014-12-08T07:31:00

Blew...my....MIND!!!!

How someone can make this much gorgeous artwork, gameplay, animation, and beautiful soundtrack in 48 hours is beyond amazing!!!

Puts my game to shame!

And I also disagree with the others, the long intro sets the mood for the calm game play with a sort of restless feeling of the dragon wanting to go.

Super Arena Hell! by randomdragoon 2014-12-08T06:48:00

Fun game, and extremely difficult. I enjoy that creation animation on the polygons, nice touch then just having them appear! Good job.

Grokageddon by lukz 2014-12-10T03:49:00

Very cohesive game. Everything seems to be all there. I did find one bug, you can start shooting before the 3-2-1 counter finishes

Well done on the procedure generation, something I can not wrap my head around

Polyfill by Namide 2014-12-08T07:37:00

Not sure, but I can't seem to get the anything but a black screen...which is a SUPER bummer since I loved your screenshots (they remind me of my game's style a lot)

I'll try back later and hopefully it will work

Polyfill by Namide 2014-12-08T07:46:00

NEVERMIND! A few more refreshes later and it worked (personal problem I guess)

I absolutely love everything about this game, the visuals are great, the concept in innovative and the gameplay is engaging, easy to pickup, and fun! Well done!

(as a side-note though it bothers me a little that the piano notes are random and don't follow a set octave or scale)

Le Voleur by LuisGuimaraes 2014-12-28T20:43:00

Very awesome concept, oddly difficult to hide between camera screen though which is why I could never win :(

Guess I'm not cut out for the life of crime!

Dino Dash: Rex's Run by Mechatodzilla 2014-12-10T06:37:00

Clever, making it look like the old school fixed pixel LCD screen games

Life Goes On by sprawl 2014-12-10T04:08:00

Very unique concept, a bit empty and depressing without music though :/

Beardo by SUGBOERIE 2014-12-10T06:15:00

Unfortunately it seemed a bit glitchy as I couldn't actually grapple to anything or right click (just brings up the Unity right click options in a web browser)

That being said, the graphic design is amazing!

HexaQuest by qleonetti 2014-12-09T21:00:00

Super fun game! I played this way longer than I was planning!

Platform 31 by Rodaja 2014-12-17T01:23:00

Very polished and fun game! That spread shot is super satisfying!
The game setup reminds me of a 1 versus 1 paintball match, although I do agree that the one life this is a bit of a bummer of the mood, right when you get into it, it's over.

How about instead of a health bar, you can keep the one life thing but make games match based like tennis or something where it's best of 5 game wins

That way you don't interrupt your players "in the zone" moods by going back to the menu constantly to replay and gain their revenge!

Gorilla Rampage by bigdad1630 2014-12-08T06:19:00

I dig the speed up mechanic and lightning bolt movement power-up!
Almost imagining a super-mario invincibility style colors flashing and the music goes mental fast when you hit that.

That would be hilarious if you had a tropical style Reggae music and then it sped up super quick and sounded all high pitch! :D

Runner by mephisto 2014-12-28T21:34:00

Very simple yet visually beautiful game. I feel the music didn't help add a good atmosphere to the game though...the song kind of gives it a monotonous kind of mood where I think if you gave this game a more upbeat and faster paced song (maybe something like chipstep) and made the jump a little less floaty, you'd have yourself a rely awesome mobile phone game that you can pass around to all your friends and challenge them to beat your scores!

Can't wait to see a post-Jam version of this, especially for my mobile devices!

Squared by Artguy 2014-12-10T04:56:00

Neat concept, the graphics are just gorgeous!

Screen Ego Aegis by LegacyCrono 2014-12-16T02:32:00

Very interesting concept how the game is literally all on the main character's screen head! Very clever

0000 : Press Z by alvarop 2014-12-27T04:34:00

Can not wait to see 000+ I see this game all around and it always catches my eye every time. You really capture that old-school nostalgia so very well!

I know you don't want music....but I'm part of that other group haha

Your game is easily going to be a post-compo winner in the indie community!
(can't wait to see that Steam Greenlight!)

Bomber by xaedes 2014-12-20T01:24:00

Interesting concept, I can see the reference, would be a fun game when you get it all polished up. I do enjoy trapping the little guys in corners and running away!

4D Life Drawing by reecpj 2014-12-28T20:41:00

Interesting concept all around. Kinda weird I was only able to draw on the figure itself...kinda takes away the artistic creativity there, but hey, it captures the art class like restrictions very well.

Cat-ana by Valandre 2014-12-23T05:25:00

Very polished game, honestly the locked isometric movements were a bit weird to get used to but I can't wait to see more!

Definitely release a post-jam version!

The Fast and the Flatulent by Drtizzle 2014-12-10T04:53:00

Gosh darn! I think I almost broke my keyboard I was pressing buttons so fast!

endless rules by dunin 2014-12-16T02:18:00

Very interesting concept for sure, reminds me on a card game called Mao. Add some music and you have yourself a good game

Jelly Beansworth vs The Mushrooms by Noozie 2014-12-27T02:36:00

Interesting concept, but it does have a ways to go. You probably already know that the collision between objects is very glitchy, I kept staking up mushroom men as sombreros and suffering from their added weight until I couldn't move and just had to wait to be killed.

As someone said before, I do love that jump animation...just something awesome about it. Keep working on it and don't get discouraged!

Last Rooftop Hero by Phoenix849 2014-12-10T03:20:00

This game looks beautiful, big fan of isometric and sci-fi too

Screened by hexagore 2014-12-10T20:41:00

Well it sure is difficult! Lives up to it's description, I think the reason I found it a little hard to get past any obstacles was the bouncing physics off the ceiling...off the ground was kinda cool and fun but the ceiling bounce just made things way too impossible for me.

Anyways, enough about my lack of skills...I enjoy those CRT scan lines on the orange objects! And all the movement and glowing makes things feel so foreign, well done!

Tiny BasketBall Game by Kirito 2014-12-17T02:32:00

Interesting idea with a lot of room to expand, but needs a reset ball button or something

HexaPong by fancypants 2014-12-11T02:16:00

Very challenging for such a simple mechanic, I would suggest maybe delaying the first paddle/wall disappearance until after at least 20 or 30 seconds so the player gets a hang of the controls and physics before you start adding the challenging part

Don't Stop by AndreasL 2014-12-10T04:11:00

Fun and relentless game! My only suggestion is to make the reload level animation faster so you don't have to wait as long to retry (almost like Super Hexagon where it's so instantaneous people just simple keep clicking retry)

Quads by DMajor 2014-12-10T03:42:00

Super cool and challenging concept, just add some randomly placed dos to collect and a timer and you have yourself a very challenging game!

Velcro by camlang 2014-12-09T21:10:00

Wonderful game! I like how the visual effects move the music so smoothly (unlike my game that looks like spastic ferret)

As a graphic designer, I must your visuals are gorgeous!

I wish you had an OSX port because I want to keep this game to play locally all the time

Velcro by camlang 2014-12-24T04:47:00

Post-Compo version rocks! So much more my speed and I love the music!

Sales Pitch by kiririn51 2014-12-09T20:47:00

Super fun concept and somehow a totally relatable concept for probably everybody. Digging the graphics too, very Pokemon meats Phoenix Wright

No More Boxes by Tuism 2014-12-10T21:05:00

Absolutely amazing game! Very polished already. My only suggestion it maybe tone-down the character grunts a bit or vary them up a little more.

Also I got stuck in a grey box at the top right at the beginning sometimes.

Joke's on you by arlefreak 2014-12-10T06:07:00

Characters are quite cool and the feedback on good or bad choices is definitely unique! Good job!...am a bit confused on the scoring system though

Ricochet Heroes by spotco 2014-12-20T04:26:00

I would buy this so fast for mobile or even just on my laptop!!!!!

This is BEYOND amazing and fun. I found the tilt mechanic a little weird and unpredictable but it was still cool.

Two things I'd love to see:

1) A combo meter that keeps building like pinball

2) RPG elements like different stats for party members and shop or towns to upgrade stuff!

All together, this is EASILY in my top 5 games! Please, please, please make a post-jam version!!!!

Snow Need To Rush by SnoutUp 2014-12-09T21:03:00

Very "pun-y " but overall a simple and effective little game

Contact Cowboy by jrap 2014-12-08T06:09:00

Kinda tested this against myself but al I have to say is WOW!

Big fan of local multiplayer and good pixel art in a simple mechanics game!

This is by far the best game I've seen!

Mechanised Menace by Adam Gould 2014-12-27T02:43:00

That was very satisfying! I'm not one for top-down shooters, but that was a lot of fun to me. My only suggestions are to maybe make the power ups a bit bigger and easier to collect (I got myself in a loop circling the power up endlessly because I couldn't turn tight enough to get it) and maybe add a click to start screen because I opened this in a tab and the game started playing before I eve scrolled the page down yet

Anyways, minor thing. Keep up the good work!

Man on the Field by Double Zero One Zero 2014-12-10T06:32:00

This is just purely amazing, nothing more could be added or fixed or taken away. BRAVO!!!

Existential by LukeZaz 2014-12-10T04:36:00

Super creative game, I like the generous treasure chests. And those darn boxes kept ganging up man!

One suggestion, in art darker values of colors represent foreground while lighter represent distance and background (look at mountains in the distance, they get lighter the farther away they go)

Might want to apply this rule to your game because I kept think the dark blocks were ceilings and floors

Snowball Tunning by dusho 2014-12-10T01:16:00

Took me a bit to figure out how to "tune" the snowballs but overall a successful little game for only... SIX HOURS?!?! You crazy man!

Cycle by vicious_br 2014-12-11T02:28:00

Very satisfying game, just as I thought, "Oh an this is brutal, I'll never make to cycle 2 alive!" I remembered the awesome sauce grenade button! SO much satisfaction! Mwahaha!

Planet Of The Snowmen by Joshua Stone 2014-12-11T02:35:00

Super enjoyable game, you do have a glitch where standing in the left bottom corner makes all the snowman pile up at the top and get stuck.

Love the snow effect being destroyed.

Attack of the cybernetic aliens by mathias234 2014-12-09T02:30:00

Challenging gameplay, I like upgrade system. My only suggestions are to maybe vary up the shot sounds (also add some for the enemy's too) and change the bullet color because it's hard to see the blue ones

Hive by JoshDBB 2014-12-11T02:13:00

Great job on the atmosphere, a really fun and challenging game overall. Maybe update the GUI visuals to match your game a little better though

Panoptes by vrld 2014-12-16T02:35:00

Interesting idea to include all those games onto one screen. The tilted multiplier seems familiar... :)

Super Cave In by sputnik 2014-12-10T04:16:00

Everything about this game is purely amazing, perfect style, perfect gameplay, awesome artwork/animations! Absolutely love it!

Don't Eat The Damsel by intersectiongames 2014-12-10T04:42:00

Unique idea, I'm a big fan on hand drawn stuff!
Maybe try left justifying you text though, center justify is hard to read for long sections of text because your eye can't follow a clear line in-between lines to get back to the left side (thing I learned in Typography)

The Best of Both Worlds by AGausmann 2014-12-08T03:37:00

This game was super fun, and I don't care for puzzle games! Really innovative concept, I do have to say the SFX are kinda loud though, totally break from the peaceful, problem-solving, contemplating mood you provide with the light blue and soft music. Hope you continue this game idea!

Grass crawl by island212 2014-12-27T03:14:00

Very ambitious game for such a small programming team. The elements that were finished were well done. Can't wait to see more, the only critic I had was I got him to move on the first round but couldn't figure how to do so any other round so I just sat there waiting for enemies.

Anyways, can't wait to see a post-Jam of this one..wink,wink,nudge,nudge :)

Glitch Adventure by unnamed1334 2014-12-08T06:14:00

Ambitious game for such a short period, would like to see it when graphics and sound is added. Also a minor request for faster player speed, hard to dodge enemy random movements on the fly) Keep working at it for sure!

A Fine White Line by Taunia Sabanski 2014-12-12T03:17:00

That was the most intense 3 minutes of my life! At it was all in 2D blueprints! Totally a concept that can easily be expanded upon for more "levels"

Resonant Flux by Rob Glen 2014-12-10T01:27:00

Fun game! The kinda floaty movement is what makes this game for sure, specially because I don't usually care for arena SHUMPs but I like this one.

Might change the highlight color of the enemy bullets or the background, it's hard to see blue on blue

Parable of the Broken Window by Akurn 2014-12-17T03:50:00

Great concept! I also enjoy the random rogue-like elements although sometimes they seemed impossible (spikes in front of every door)

Frankfurt Ludum Dare Venue - Keeper by gladers 2014-12-09T20:43:00

Neat game concept, you do have a collision issue with the top and bottom walls though, when you stand next to them and fire, your items sometimes get blocked and destroyed by the wall

Animal Roar by gillenew 2014-12-10T03:54:00

Very polished game! Even the attention to detail of making the sprouts go all the way down the pitfall to lead the character that way was so professional!

If only you had a better connection to the theme, this would be a contender

The Book by Bachyard 2014-12-17T03:32:00

Interesting concept, but it needs a little fleshing out in the gameplay mechanics... I was kind of able to cheat the game by just clicking the walls in a clockwise or counter-clockwise circle every time and win without much of any risk within mere seconds.

I'm not sure how you can combat this, maybe make it so you can't jump to the one next to you unless you've already been there

InchAlpha by fil00dl 2014-12-10T03:38:00

Really awesome work on the graphics!
I'd love to see this to music (almost like a one finger DDR style game)
Then you can join our crew :)

http://ludumdare.com/compo/2014/12/09/ld-31-twitch-rhythm-games-ftw/

FISHERMANS FRIENDS by Pferd123 2014-12-27T03:22:00

Very interesting concept and mood. Well done with the characters, they feel very diverse and non-two dimensional.

My only critic is that without the enter button to talk or accept your typing, the game seemed to disconnect me as a player and more of an observer waiting for the game to play itself, I don't get to choose when to talk or not.

Marelda by Peach Pie Productions 2014-12-10T05:21:00

Neat game all around but you failed to meat the Ludum Dare theme :(

Four walls by sollinxp 2014-12-08T05:01:00

I like it. Would have been fun if it was about being locked in a room trying to juggle the challenges of making a Ludum Dare Compo game, but maybe that can be a "Level 2" version

When Snowmen Attack by rantt 2014-12-12T03:03:00

So much snowman carnage! Muwahaha down with the soul sucking theme-sicles!

Minimal Duel by Miziziziz 2014-12-10T04:00:00

Wonderful game, music, and concept... a bit hard to tell what's all going on without audio or visual feedback (but then again I'm just as guilty with my game...)

Loving me some hand drawn/inked art and banjo!

One by Fanttum 2014-12-08T03:49:00

Awesome job with presenting a mood from such minimalistic visuals and gameplay! Impressive audio as well, I would say though maybe make the game place red blocks a certain distance away from the player at start, some times they instantly overlapped and that was slightly frustrating, unless....that's what you wanted to ad to the mood, then keep and kudos to you!

MACHO KNIGHT by hundredhundred 2014-12-10T05:57:00

Interesting little game, very simple yet fun. The inertia thing feels kind of weird though, I got more flight out of the bad guys be running at them from a shorter distance

The Shift by SoulGame 2014-12-10T20:45:00

Super fun concept and controls, I wish he sometimes didn't spawn is such odd and almost impossible corners though, but hey...where's the fun in that, right?

Random Name Attack by bnmkt 2014-12-08T06:06:00

Controls for up and down were a bit jumpy (and I forgot you could at one point haha) but the shooting worked to speed and I guess that's what really matters. Fun little game concept, be cool to expand it with power ups and a laser power bar.

Cardinal Attack by Insality 2014-12-08T05:55:00

Wow! This is awesome! I love twitch games with great music!
The flip mechanic is superb! One of those games that makes me think "why didn't I think of that!" ... which is a good this.

One suggestion, maybe make the music start in a different spot ever restart or something (like the game Super Hexagon) so those of us with constant deaths don't just here the same 5 second beginning build up over and over. I want to hear all the awesome pumping music! :D

I just wish I could get past Level 1
Orange looks good on you :)

Swotch by Ulydev 2014-12-09T02:16:00

My new favorite game! I wish I could rate the music as well but definitely so much fun. The only, ONLY thing I would change would be maybe instructions on how to activate the slow-down.

I'm a big fan of twitch games and this style (hence my game) but yours is miles ahead of the rest! Well done!

Swotch by Ulydev 2014-12-09T02:17:00

Also, one more note, this is also a game I will be keeping on my computer after LD

Swotch by Ulydev 2014-12-15T06:40:00

Honestly still my favorite game this LD! I happily downloaded and kept Swotch on my laptop and played against a buddy of mine Sat afternoon trying out-do each other's scores

MRBOX by karlipoppins 2014-12-08T06:01:00

I just got upset and tried to stop a pink pixel from pushing the "forbidden button" BRAVO my friend, bravo!

Also loving the hidden humor in the falling credits, great game!

Sea King Hunter by gameattack 2014-12-12T02:41:00

Woah! Great visuals and animation, it got a bit glitch when I was trying to move up and down on the left wall, it kept disconnecting me but that boss though, man!

Eschaton by klave 2014-12-17T02:45:00

Very artistic quality to your game. By only critic is a design one, don't have the white text cross over the white circle design, it seems a bit cluttered that way and kind of just through there without any thought

Diametric by JFern 2014-12-10T03:03:00

I really enjoy this a lot! So much potential to gameplay features you can add and turn this into a mobile game or anything really!

Great job on the programming to do this (I know the difficulty) and thanks for commenting about this on the Music Game post I made

Fill the bar by SMASH BASH 2014-12-27T03:51:00

Just...WOW...just well done...*clap into thunderous applause!*

Very polished game and I love the low poly stuff. I can't think of single thing to improve or change!

aMAZEing by mjp456789 2014-12-10T01:49:00

I like the floaty feeling to the controls, gives that gravity feeling. I also was surprised on level one when I hit the tree! I thought it was a background element, that was a nice surprise.

Keep up the good work and don't forget to play other games and pick up tips from fellow game developers!

Train your Jedi ! by jarry 2014-12-08T06:32:00

Super entertaining game for such simple mechanics! I like the humming soundtrack too, nice touch!

(Don't let Disney know you made this, lol)

Antisocial by Social Icebergs 2014-12-10T01:59:00

The concept of browser link jumping is really cool! Reminds me of an old game my friends played in school about solving the puzzle on screen to get the next word to put at the end of the URL for the next level

Keep at it and maybe post a POST LD version that's all working!

(also, ironic name isn't it?)

Hyper Wall by SinclairStrange 2014-12-12T02:37:00

I absolutely love this game! Can I have a local version (for OSX) please to keep and play forever?

Nice visual design choices and use of music....reminds me a little of mine actually! haha

But your's is longer and honestly a little more fun, can't get enough of those double wall patterns, those are my fav

Standoff by nottoscalestudio 2014-12-10T02:02:00

Nice concept, almost wish the bullet bounced more times build up some crazy combos! Also maybe think about switching aiming to the mouse

Beat+Trak by Lynx 2014-12-08T04:35:00

Thanks for the great feedback guys!

@Fanttum: You don't hit the notes "on beat" no, but it does listen to the song and the placer object does place a note on the beat (based on if it heard a certain frequency range at a loud enough volume)

matching FPS to temp (BPM) is hard! So I'm sorry I failed you.

@ scias: I wanted to add visual and audio SFX feedback but a core mechanic broke this morning and took that planned time away, but definitely adding to the Post-Dare version

@Lawls: Thanks, that's the point is to add challenge to a simple game! :)

Beat+Trak by Lynx 2014-12-08T07:06:00

Thanks for the great feedback, keep it coming, I'm definitely adding to this in post

@madlee: I spent too much time on the programming mechanics and path following and ran out of time to add more feedback, so you're correct

@foolmoron: Great! I wanted to take my own spin on the Terry Cavanagh style

@tonypai: Yes, it's expert or go home baby! :)

@ben_pxlplz: Definitely adding more feedback (I just had some bugs with a main path following mechanic that took away that scheduled time :( ) but you're correct, the idea is to hold the button down for blue, only release to dodge red

Beat+Trak by Lynx 2014-12-10T01:05:00

@ Rob Glen: Nice catch! I was actually testing it in develop with the up arrow but the switch it to down when I accidentally made the graphics a down button...hahaha forgot to edit that, Thanks man!

Beat+Trak by Lynx 2014-12-10T04:31:00

@JFern: I know, I went crazy with the screen effects...but they are the only challenge to the game

@LukeZaz: I know, I will be adding more gameplay in v2.0, a major bug took away hours of my time on day 1 and 2

@intersectiongames: You are 100% right, I wasn't able to figure out how to get the notes to be generated 1 second ahead of the player when the note placer listens to the music in realtime...

BUT I figured out a method I will be adding and fixing those problems in v2.0 soon!

Beat+Trak by Lynx 2014-12-10T04:32:00

@Kitch: Thank you! and don't worry I WILL be making a post-compo version real soon!

Beat+Trak by Lynx 2014-12-20T04:35:00

@zerocreativity1 -- I already have it all working on the beat and with single notes where you swap colors to collect instead of hit or dodge in version 2.0

I am also working on that feedback right now: particles and SFX for hits and maybe a screen shake on miss, thanks for the input!

I Am Technician by Murchurl 2014-12-10T05:36:00

Surgeon Simulator meets Geek Squad, and I love it!

ReTroBot Remake by LetzHavePhun by LetzHavePhun 2014-12-10T02:30:00

Interesting game how you combined physics and tile-movement.

Found a bug though, If you fall off the edge, it says "You WON! Sorry the robots got you try again"

CSplatterX by akaPhil 2014-12-12T02:31:00

Interesting concept with the changing of rules but I couldn't figure if or how you could move, I only found the attack button

Elf Hunter by Kim Sjöberg 2014-12-16T02:24:00

Game has some potential, I found the elf AI was really fast straight off the bat though, but not a game killer. I did phase through a wall once, but that might just be a rare bug

Whole Life On One Screen by Demy 2014-12-23T01:23:00

The UI/UX is perfectly done! I love the DOS command line booting screen and how you have to double click to open programs.

Also well done on the "tutorial" it felt like a true website or computer program tutorial that has you click on everything with tooltips to teach you where everything is (remind me of Facebook's tutorial)

One bug I did find was I would say "Afk. I'm too tired guys" in the chat even when I wasn't playing and only did work that morning. That kind of confused me, but that's super minor.

Well done overall, you have a future in UI/UX design

Baby Sitter Simulator by water2112 2014-12-27T02:52:00

Interesting concept, I like the paper mario style turning of the babies although this cause a little bug, sometimes the crying baby stop while turning and thusly made it impossible to see what he/she wanted since they were super skinny. Also happened twice where the though bubble went out of the camera view when the baby was too close to the edge.

Anyways, these are just minor things, interest game you two, keep it up!

Hot place by edve98 2014-12-08T06:28:00

Interesting motion mechanic for the player (I could wrap my head around how to mild up moment to get moving again when I stopped, but it was awesome when I started getting it)

Kudos on the C# in Unity my friend, I come from the same scenario (also my first LD too!)

Christmas Robber by DavidLv 2014-12-09T02:52:00

Interesting concept, I didn't understand that the first scene was the rock, paper, scissors instructions. Catchy music remix there though

Orbit Jumper by Luminar 2014-12-10T06:00:00

Physics were a bit confusing and the game kinda jumps straight into action without a little give to let the player figure out the drilling and stuff

Doesn't follow the theme though

Office Gaming Inception by AMS 2014-12-10T06:49:00

Clever game and hilarious balance of frustration and sarcasm! Well done, oohing else I can think of to help critic.

TDZSG by FlipskiZ 2014-12-20T01:27:00

An amities little game with a lot of mechanics to be made in the 48 hours, great job on time management for sure!

I agree graphics and GUI could be updated and cleaned up for user experience and clarity, but I glad to see you're stay up-to-date with updates and a post-Compo version :)

Blue Screen of Love by cmdr 2014-12-09T20:39:00

That was amazing storyline and great text based game, well done!

Event Horizon by ThatNaughtyPanda 2014-12-10T04:05:00

Interesting concept, made me get personally attached to my parcel just to watch it explode :'(

Jump to Boom x 2 by alabebop 2014-12-28T21:16:00

Interesting concept, obviously well suited for mobile devices. I will say that graphics are quite pleasing but they lack a cohesive theme. The cars, characters, platforms, and backgrounds all looked like totally different art styles. Try picking one and sticking with that theme for the whole game and all the assets.

Desert Strike by Parker808 2014-12-10T02:38:00

Interesting and fun kind of stealth shooter game but it doesn't match the LD competition theme at all. Also please edit the page to state what you did and didn't make during the 72 hour time please

Lone by BlueTheLemon 2014-12-27T21:55:00

Interesting concept in order to love people you must avoid people. Very weird concept to make a race against the time maze game where you must move slowly and precisely with the crowd. Great conceptual idea!

GraviFlip by oh_andrej 2014-12-10T03:56:00

Super cool concept and very simple and easy to pickup and learn. Nice job on the tutorial, something I need to learn about...

Lumit by Leaghorn 2014-12-17T02:37:00

This really great! Awesome music (kinda want this stuff for my game) and creative idea. Easily something to expand off of, and obviously you have!

Christmas Fantasy by AdayMC 2014-12-10T02:42:00

Interesting set of mini-games, I would suggest maybe slowing down the time required to complete (I got the "Give cheer to others" twice in a row in the first play and was still reading it when the game said "You failed"

kinda...ruined my Christmas spirit :) JK

fisheyeroids by H4ssi 2014-12-10T02:45:00

Interesting fisheye effect on the world. I would suggest making a menu start screen or something to click on to start because I would load the webpage and already start dying before I got my hand on the mouse

Teeny Tiny Little Ball by FerraWare 2014-12-08T06:55:00

Neat concept and nice story too. Although I feel dirty, aiding a criminal....

Rocket Jump Rampage by Code Medicine 2014-12-12T20:58:00

Honestly, the most polished game I've seen all LD in terms of graphics, rendering, gameplay mechanics, and the one thing that set's yours SO far apart: level design. You guy really have a talent for knowing how to challenge the player but also let the level walk them through the game and let them learn by exploration.

I fell like saying "Well Done" is just not enough here, so how about:
Superb display of splendorous valor for achievements within the virtual realm on the trifecta of gaming elements and their perfected fusion into the rare alloy that is Rocket Jump Rampage with the given challenge of time presented within the allotted hours of two past the number of seventy!

LonelyPlanet by jstzwd 2014-12-27T22:15:00

Very weird mechanic for the jumping I wasn't 100% clear that you keep rapidly pressing the spacebar to jump higher....I though the icon meant hold the spacebar

Other than that minor critic the game is beautiful and well polished. Superb job!

Main Menu Fighter by Legiion 2014-12-09T20:31:00

I'm loving the fact that you play on the menu screen, very clever. I will say though the controls feel like they need a bit of inertia to them. If your in space, you would kind of keep gliding a little after you release a button.

But that boss though, man!

Zombie Snowman survival by TeaRannosaurus 2014-12-10T02:48:00

Bummer your features broke, but look on the bright side, you have more feedback (when you get hit my the snowmen) than I do...and that's more important to gameplay than fancy menus!

Where is my sword?! by Kaijuu 2014-12-17T02:57:00

Interesting concept and pretty graphics, although I was slightly confused on what I was doing or why I was doing it...

The space between instructions seem to startle me though, I kept think "oh no, what did I do? Did I die?" whenever one would stop my game and pop up.

Cuberot by guldlock 2014-12-17T04:21:00

This is.....just WOW! This is SO amazing! Very polished game all around, can't wait to see more

My only critic is a minor one, I found the isometric view with non-isometric controls a bit awkward

Mr. Boo by Nuuup 2014-12-10T02:50:00

Nice music! Your right it feels very experimental

Core by MrSun 2014-12-08T07:23:00

I like the concept a lot. Clever mechanics, I found it a bit hard to jump into the next circle but that just maybe be due to my lack of game skills haha. Great job!

(also, Web version didn't crash on me, so woot!)

The Harvest Sparrows by Kazura 2014-12-10T02:54:00

I wish I could hear the music (something went wrong and it was silent for me)

Fun little concept, good instructions (take it from someone who's instructions page failed miserably!) I might make it appear on the screen a bit longer though

The Lonely Realm of Tom Thaum, the Space Wizard by JJEvil 2014-12-16T02:40:00

Interesting concept with an epic purpose. It's beard-tastic!

SnowyBirds by SnowyBirds 2014-12-10T02:55:00

Wish I had the tools to play this... but awesome job for not following the crowd!

ROCKROCKET by Backterria 2014-12-10T04:50:00

I second on the mac export, please...if not...I'll go borrow a pc cause I really want to play this, it looks just so dang fudge-muffinly gorgeous!

Electric Jezebel by OttersDen 2014-12-27T22:20:00

Interesting game, the player didn't seem to match the visual styling as much as the rest of the artwork and enemy characters though.

I like the in-game music a lot, the menu music seemed a bit out of place though.

Anyways, these are just minor things, overall you guys did great!

Dabug by Devark 2014-12-11T04:15:00

I love that the score is in megabytes! The overall feel of this game screams cohesive design! Well done!

Space Opera by SirRicecake 2014-12-10T05:23:00

Overall a really clever solution to the theme and some gorgeous graphics as well! Great job!

SPIN-2 by hypnoticbytes 2014-12-10T01:13:00

Very awesome take on the rhythm twitch genre game style! The math thing was a bit of a learning curve as I freaked out seeing a new color wonder what that values was again but once I got it down, it was awesome!

Only thing that hindered me was I would assume that hitting the side of the triangle would register as a hit, but it was more of a 50/50 whether that worked.

Love to see an OSX version so I can play it locally later, also thanks for the great feedback on my game!

One on One by Pankoman 2014-12-09T02:36:00

The concept is great, I like the one controller idea, great graphics too

Boing! by Evergreen Games 2014-12-12T02:50:00

I can't do it, I do not possess the skills. But interesting concept altogether though

SIRTET by stray 2014-12-08T04:13:00

Super fun, and I'm not a puzzle game fan (or care much for tetris...I know *gasp*) but I have to say, I could easily play this for hours, specially if it have a sweet soundtrack

Zdy-ball: The Coffee Hunter by cardanai 2014-12-09T20:27:00

Love the remix on a classic! The controls are really responsive too for not directly controlling the player, well done! I will say sometimes the background's color values get a little to close to the foreground objects and makes it hard to see (mainly wight he blue for my screen)

Gearverse by MistySoulsGames 2014-12-11T02:45:00

Interesting concept for a game, I felt kind of weird on the direction of movement sometimes but that may be my imagination. I just don't understand what the gears have to do with anything? Odd design choice, but ok

Cosmic Escape by neil.devan 2014-12-27T02:18:00

Interesting concept, took me a while to understand that it was one of those bouncing infinite upward platformed style games (I don't know watch call them... we called them "the bunny game" style after a version my sister would play for hours all the time after school)

Your instructions and storytelling was superb (something I need to work on haha) I do have one suggestion: make all the text boxes and next buttons in the ams location, it was a little weird that I had to move the mouse and hunt down the next arrow every time (kinda breaks your concentration from the story to: wait? where'd the box move now? Oh! over there, now what was I doing...oh yeah reading)

But this is a minor thing, anyways, hope you continue to work on it. Happy game making!

Ragtown by indie4fun 2014-12-10T03:34:00

Nice game, that's some INTENSE gun standoff action there!

rogodo by tomo 2014-12-12T02:27:00

Fun game and nice use of clouds as difficulty, although your ball goes over-top of the cloud images. My only other critic is the score seems to be a second slow on updating.

Dock and Cover by LimeniusTeam 2014-12-28T21:26:00

Ver awesome concept! Reminds me of a certain scene from Interstellar...

Overall it was well done. I'd love to see some gamepad support or joystick support or maybe use the mouse to control movement amounts and use the keys elect which movement type to control...I say this just because the on/off of a keyboard button doesn't give much precision and control fully needed for this time of game.

Can't wait to see a post-Jam version!

TUBE by Linko 2014-12-28T21:57:00

Very awesome game concept, I like how you have both items to shoot and walls that act as obstacles to dodge/block...really adds a level of planning your actions rather than mindless run-and-gun tactics.

Well done with the visual style and animated assets to music (I know how hard that is....)

Ram Dungeon by 01101101 2014-12-10T20:53:00

I may have missed it but is there an option to skip rather than press Spacebar, if so that would solve my issue of lack of choice and gameplay. Other than that, it looks great and has potential to grow into something great Post-Compo!

Press Space by Meedoc 2014-12-27T21:48:00

Pretty crazy cool game for just pressing keys....looks like I need to learn where the keys are on the keyboard...couldn't get anything higher than 46 :(

Door In Cave by revilossor 2014-12-27T02:58:00

Very clever concept and game mechanics, I felt like the character move a little to quickly, would be nice to have a control to speed up or slow down their running speed for better control. Keep up the good work, I can see this concept growing big!

DFGH Mission by Germain 2014-12-11T02:53:00

Very fun and rewarding game concept and gameplay, felt very satisfying when that man comes on and says "Good Job" just takes all that pressure and stress off!

The Biggest Snowman by refreshgames 2014-12-08T07:00:00

Great GUI and fun idea just felt like I moved at a direct rate than the CPUs but that could be in my head....I must say I like charging into an enemy, snowballs a-blazing, this physics did that justice!

LiliLight by Carduus 2014-12-27T02:09:00

Scary as crap game!!!! Sadly I couldn't get the music/sound to play on my machine (not sure why...running a Mac with newest Safari) which is a bummer, but I'll just assume by the other comments that it was amazing and rate accordingly.if you added objectives later on, like go check on a little sibling or go find your loft teddy bear, and such to get you to have to move locations, I can see this game exploding on the indie game market. Well done!

Dudley Digger Diamond Driller by bigbazwa 2014-12-10T05:42:00

Quite simple perfect! I can see this in an arcade this very instant, it's so polished and plays so smooth! I wouldn't change a thing, now go contact Atari this instant!

Blockade by TheGreenTie 2014-12-12T05:51:00

WOw....just wow! Unfortunately not exactly much to expand on post-jam but what a great fun this will be to have friends play and just watch them!

Beat Bop Delicious by Kitch 2014-12-10T04:47:00

First off, it's not too far off of the franticness of us soundboard people's jobs haha!
Secondly, great game! Simple yet so complex and the audio being effected by the toggles is a beautiful feedback element

(Also, thanks for the comment on my game! And yes, I will be making a post-Compo version really soon, but not just because you said so :P )

Pixel Run by atombrot 2014-12-10T03:27:00

Neat concept, there was some frame drops/lag with audio when I would move too fast the block animation would freeze up and the sound would be off but that may not be your fault

Egyptian Labyrinth by Logun 2014-12-09T02:58:00

Neat concept, I like the randomness of the rooms if you don't have a light! For some reason I didn't hear any music though...

Marvin's Journey by BlennosoftGames 2014-12-27T03:05:00

Those are some suspiciously looking, non-supicious bushes there my friend.... I not sure about them.... haha

Very clever take on the theme, as some others have said, the game needs a bit more challenge and side-goals, like why get the lightning bolts (most of which I must get in order to get to the flower) sure it speed him up but it would be faster to not sidetrack and just go straight to the flower.

Maybe have some obstacles that move real quick and so you have the choice, risk trying to go through normally to save time or go get some more speed to make it through easier. This would pair well with a constant timer ticking down between each maze so it's all about choices and how they'll affect how much time and speed you have later on as the mazes get harder.

Anyways, great job with the theme innovation!

Asking Out Simulator by sanchitgulati 2014-12-10T06:41:00

The feels are too real bro! :'(

Rainbow Maze by FrozenCow 2014-12-10T03:14:00

Crazy awesome game! Amazing what you can fit into one screen!

The Rose Processor by Simon 2014-12-10T05:15:00

Not much to say other than calming, and well made and as a graphic designer, I enjoy the art style a lot.

LD32 — An Unconventional Weapon

BED✰HOGG by 01010111 2015-04-23T02:26:00

There's absolute nothing too critic here... move along.

Haha but in all honestly, this game rocks is every sense! I absolutely love it! Well done, and in 48hours no less!

Off to the Races by RyanNielson 2015-04-23T01:43:00

This game was a ton of fun! Reminds me of the old Atari game Decathlon (one of my favorites btw) Everything about this screams Carnival Game and I love it! Can't what to report back with my multiplayer experiences. Well Done!

Adventure Lamp by ryguydavis 2015-04-20T04:23:00

This is superb in every aspect, I really enjoy this and I know lots of other will too! I hope you continue this game and build a post-Compo version to sell because it's that god already. Well done!!

Star Driller Ultra by Omiya Games 2015-04-20T04:17:00

Well done! Just well done!
I could never even begin to possibly dream of making something like this.

Very challenging on trying to focus on where everything's coming from, where I'm supposed to go. A mini-map might help that.

Just...just...just... wow.

drone-a-pult by ChrisGaudino 2015-04-23T02:16:00

Felt like a really quadcopter. The super fast flip was pretty brutal to line up any good trajectory, but it looks like you guys fixed it in post. I love your menu, it appeals to the graphic designer side of me very well

What Do They Want? by DesignerNap 2015-04-24T04:48:00

Very interesting concept, like other's have said, the lack of text really provides a great intro to getting the player's brain into deciphering mode.

DUPE by nicotuason 2015-04-24T04:42:00

Very clever and polish game all around. I can't find anything that wasn't amazing in this game! Well done!

Velo-City by TeamEagle 2015-04-25T02:34:00

Very interesting game, and VERY addictive....... although in all honesty "no violence" is not a "weapon".... maybe unconventional.... but not a weapon. Great low-poly graphics too!

Loli Mechaslayer by theholychicken 2015-04-20T04:00:00

Very interesting battle mechanic. I like the concept. Very satisfying finally killing that boss worthy of it's own Final Fantasy final level. Not sure I would cause this an unconventional weapon, more of an unconventional game mechanic. Good job though, hopefully you figure out those minion bugs.

Dischord by Wefiends 2015-04-21T02:58:00

I was really looking forward to this game since I saw your logo post on night one and I must say... you guys did NOT disappoint!!

The audio effects were perfect, the graphics make my graphics designer side cry from the beauty, and I love the concept! 100% keeping this game on my machine!!! Love to see this added to and a post-Jam version! I'd instantly buy a full version for sure!

Strike Dungeon by Mental Atrophy 2015-04-21T04:46:00

Very awesome game. It's simple but the bowling ball idea gives it a superb harm and the random dungeons adds a great level of replay ability. Totally the next Shovel Knight!!

Square Sprint by jackrugile 2015-04-20T02:59:00

Overall a really astounding entry you have here! The graphics make my graphic designer inside me cry from the beauty, and the sound is superb. My only, ONLY suggestion is maybe start the timer after the player first clicks because I loaded up the game and before I had time to move the mouse in the proper window area, the timer was already ticking past 5 seconds... but then again, that's really more of personal problem I guess.

Iridescent by PixlWalkr 2015-04-20T03:32:00

I love this idea, it's a really clever take on the theme and it's absolutely gorgeous and atmospheric. Man the enemy flying eyes are creepy. I might suggest working on the platforming physics, they feel a little bit floaty, but great work regardless!

Sound Runner by Makay 2015-04-23T02:02:00

Overall I like theme usage and concept, it was little hard for me to get my head around to get far enough in only because of my backward guitar playing mind. Love to hear some SFX play when you use the key tar and make different riffs based on different robot patterns pressed. Also love to hear the music continue after you die since I didn't hear more that 45 seconds of it :(

Great job overall, keep up the good work!

Hippie Run by winmac32 2015-04-20T04:29:00

Very interesting game to say the least. The booster thing was cool but I found that if I stopped moving when pressing it, you just drain the ability without effecting any of the hippies. Small detail though, keep at it and "don't be part of the system, man..."

Uprooted - a carrot simulator by Two Scoop Games 2015-04-24T04:24:00

I like the concept a lot although I kept experiencing a glitch on Safari where if I charge the jump to max I got endlessly stuck, might be a random fluke, but I thought I'd let you know. Really love the concept and music, great job!

Death Touch by uheartbeast 2015-04-20T02:50:00

I was really looking forward to this one! Is it only Windows?

SHiFT by Fanttum 2015-04-20T03:24:00

Interesting concept to have gravity as a weapon and not just a tool. I will say, getting past the second set of spikes drove me mad... I don't know if it's just my system being jittery but it was hard to swap gravity and get the guy's inertia to change enough to get through. also the hitbox for the little guys seems a bit big. Common practice is to actual make the hotbox for obstacles and spikes just a bit smaller than the pixels so the it gives the player a little advantage

Birthday Bash by DoppleDanger 2015-04-23T00:56:00

I liked the concept a lot! It took me a while to understand that you had to stand still to attack. The whole idea of throwing coffee into their faces is brutal but kinda funny. Love to see more atmosphere in the game like party streamers and balloons in the background and maybe some kids cheering or singing happy birthday for music. Overall great job with the interpretation of the theme!

Roll Initiative by Lynx 2015-04-20T03:42:00

I't not you Stuffedgravy. It's a big WebGL file, it take about 10 seconds or more to load...unfortunately there's no loading bar to tell players that. I'll see what I can do

Roll Initiative by Lynx 2015-04-20T04:50:00

Lol! Natalye, yeah I even do that up arrow thing subconsciously too and I've been playing it all weekend!

Yeah, the bug with the number is a known issue, just was running out of time, so I put that off to the side to do other things.

Charge Negative by Leaghorn 2015-04-20T04:12:00

The graphics are gorgeous! Little much to take in at first, kept getting confused on which are projectiles and why I'm getting tethered to everything, but great work regardless of my ignorance!

Dr. U and the bottomless PIT by farwyler 2015-04-24T02:44:00

Very whimsical game! It's great to see a whimsical game for once in all the super action stuff. I love the intro being the telephone call too! Great work, very polished!

Android Runner by @JohnNWFS by johnnwfs 2015-04-20T03:17:00

Interesting game, I like how your the spaceship but you're helping the guy escape instead of destroying/hunting him. The jumping feels really slow and hard for someone to use quickly, which is a problem if the blockade is past your laser fire angle. Good job, neat concept. Keep improving!

Powerman by Bandersnatch 2015-04-23T01:32:00

I loved the pow! effect would love to see some variation of it with full screen POW! BANG! BIFF! Overall really good, some bugs, but nothing you can't work through! Great job.

Sandwich Assassin by stuffedgravy 2015-04-20T03:49:00

The music fits perfectly. Interesting concept. I can honestly say that I've never played a sandwich poisoning game before.

Insult Duelling by natalye 2015-04-24T03:27:00

Interesting how you trade insults back and forth although one gamely I kept getting the same insult back and forth for 5 times in a row, almost thought that was the whole game.... I'm just an unlucky person with random number generators haha

DRILL KNIGHT by Cryotube 2015-04-23T00:37:00

Being huge Beyblade fan as a kid back in the day, I can say your game brought back really great memories! Would be cool to have changing environments and traps and stuff added in the future!

Bad Tummy Bunny by PachowStudios 2015-04-20T03:54:00

Nice graphics and sound. Very weird and hilarious concept. Little hard to figure out the trajectory though, kept blindly rocketing out farts and hoping I was pointing the right way.

Ding Dang Doom by Qui 2015-04-20T05:09:00

I like the concept a lot! Reminds me of the Zelda Ocarina system. Unfortunately as someone has pointed out already, yours and mine games both lack in one flaw: button spamming.... oh well. Keep up the great work!

Latvian Milk by Dreyan 2015-04-23T01:17:00

Your game description MADE MY DAY!!! One of the best best games of this LD I've played so far. Love to see more weapons and boosts and power ups with more random levels to help be keep coming back to blast through enemies and save my Latvian Milk!

Super Magiball Extreme Deluxe by jordyadan 2015-04-23T00:48:00

The start of the game is quite brutal might want to give the player a 3 second countdown intro. It was very addictive at times and I and fun figuring out the different powers and what they actually do. Overall great game!

Flash Escape by scottthoo 2015-04-20T03:40:00

Loving the idea! I'm a big fan of the Flash, and I can really see this becoming a great speed runner game like Dustforce or something. The jump feels a little lackluster but, whatever, who needs jump when you can dash!

One bug I did notice, that sometimes the guy won't turn the direction he's running so he look like he's doing the moonwalk, but hey, I found that quite funny!

My Dear Pencil by Dorgam 2015-04-24T00:35:00

It's a great start to a potentially great game! The respawn should be automatic just so it doesn't break the player's concentration and gameplay flow and maybe think about custom control layouts or arrow keys along with WASD... other than those minor thing, I hope you go far with this and can't wait to see the post-Jam results! Good job.

Splitting Hares by AlfalfaStudios 2015-04-20T04:05:00

Weird little concept. Coming from a place were the bunny devour all lawns and such, I can see the principle behind this haha. wish I had more view range or something, it seems like such a daunting task to cover so much ground blindly. Love getting shots with the darts, very satisfying. Keep hop the good work!

Ex-Sword-Stential Crisis by Team Ex-Sword-Stential 2015-04-24T05:28:00

You guys really created the super Ludum Dare Avengers this time! There's nothing I can say that would be anything but gushing praise. Lest I wallow until the life leaves my last breathe beyond the lips and into the cold depression as a sword that so lives with guilt of murdering the herbivores amongst the fields, I shall say this and this alone, Good show all! Bravo!

Super Bye Bye Bot by GenericTeamName 2015-04-23T02:52:00

I like the concept a lot, would love to see this expanded with trying to get celverbot to say other phrases than just bye... also very inventive concept! Might want to talk to the cleverbot people to gain permission to constantly access their servers... that will get you blacklisted as a hacker globally so fast!

Bad and Breakfast by Krisjet 2015-04-24T03:40:00

The toaster idea is clever, would have been super cool is the world was all toast or breakfast related stuff too.

Rhythm Gunner by DDRKirby(ISQ) 2015-04-20T04:57:00

Very interesting concept, I like how the weapons are instrument based. Way too challenging for me.

Reminds my of Super Crate Box meets Crypt of the Necrodancer... and based on the fact I can't seem to play SCB by itself, it's no wonder I suck :P

But don't take that personally, I love this concept, and the rhythm genre as a whole. We need more of these out there! And as always, wonderful music

SwordCrafter by Rose 2015-04-25T02:12:00

Interesting take on the theme, might need a few more goals to the game though... like maybe show a pick of a sword on the right and try to duplicate it freehand on the left.

LD33 — You are the Monster

Monster Typer by Jezzamon 2015-08-24T02:52:00

This is pure humor for such a heavy theme, I love this concept so much! Such an easy platform to expand on too with so much potential of parodies subjects!

It's the Weird Al or LD #33

Dragon's Horde by Connors 2015-08-24T03:28:00

This is a game that could eat up coins back in the golden age of arcade games!

Puns completely intended! (Although I must say the learning curve is a bit steep)

Blob by RadioLemon 2015-08-26T00:42:00

Wow that is one super awesome revolutionary take on the RTS genre!!! Glad to see a unique idea like that!
(btw you do have a sound glitch on losing on OSX...keeps looping and won't exit without a hard quit)

Klonos by Azlen 2015-08-26T02:15:00

Very well done game and narrative, the restart thing would be helpful, but other than that, I don't have much else to add.

Child's Play by gty 2015-08-26T02:37:00

Favorite! Favorite! Favorite!!!!!!

I can not sing enough praise about your work!!!
There is nothing (other than the stating the Click for Skip during narratives) that I can say for this finishes masterpiece!

Hunting by oab 2015-08-24T05:19:00

Short narrative with good graphics. Wish there was a little bit more, but it's great entry never-the-less. Keep up the good work.

Can I Haz Monsters? by Omiya Games 2015-08-29T07:15:00

One of the most innovative concepts I've seen in a Ludum Dare in a long time! I must admit though, I don't feel so much as a monster...as more of an alien...but tomato, potato. The unique language developed for the monster's is really well done. I await the Haz Monster dictionary release at my local bookstore this fall :)

NotZilla: Ice Cream Vendor by RisingPixel 2015-08-24T19:57:00

Really superb entry! Everything about this game was flawless. I like how you took the concept of being a monster and gave the play the illusion and frustration of choosing to do good, but being forced to become a monster constantly by accident. Very well done!

The Trial of Tyrone Rex by Manky 2015-08-29T07:23:00

Humor is off the charts! But you already now that! I love the subtle details in background decor and slight jiggles and movements of the pics and characters and such, very great attention to detail in the nuances that make up a great representation of feeling and humor with still images. Love to see more of this kind of thing from you guys in the future!

Consuminator by Crefossus 2015-08-24T02:16:00

I found your game quite fun! Very much like a sillier version of the Impossible Game!

The only tips I can say to help the experiences is maybe have an on screen text that tells that Period is the puke key, and maybe a quicker restart. But other than that, it does, what it goes forth to accomplish! Well done!

Monster Training Simulator 2015 by iossif 2015-08-24T05:02:00

Very cool collection of mini games. The third one with the ship is just way too hard for me haha. But then again I'm a hunt and pecker kind of typer.

Well done.

Road To Hell by Hyoga-3D 2015-08-26T02:05:00

I keep getting Error 500 on both Web links but maybe Dropbox is just being silly

Adula by conormn 2015-08-24T05:10:00

Those graphics are beyond amazing!!! I just wish the game didn't end so fast because I love this style and everything about this game! Please keep working on this post-compo.

You Monster! by Jared Sartin 2015-08-26T02:09:00

Very nice mechanics and well done camera effects. One edit I would make though would be the ability to "ghost jump" or jump even after you fall off the edge (used for reaching those hard to reach distances, even in classic platformers) but that's just a minor thing.... Keep up the good work!

Golbertz Party Sing-A-Long by Franklin's Ghost 2015-08-26T00:52:00

Very......um....interesting..... but hey! I's a complete ludum dare game. Keep up the eccentric look on games ....bobble head...bobble head...you are my friend.

Executioner by TheZiggy 2015-08-28T20:07:00

I think the one that hit be was the two paired choices for Child Abuse and then directly after, Animal Abuse..... it's sad to think that we as a species would classify these separately yet I found myself place both people in jail for life..... the lack of a neutral option (or less severe sentence) really got me. Well done, good sir....well done

Quarantine by BoskoSokolov 2015-08-26T04:55:00

Fun game, I love the satisfaction of getting a new upgrade. Well done.

Candy Knocker by candlesan 2015-08-24T04:00:00

This game is so much fun! I just wish I could store candy between years like maybe a quarter of it or something, because I kept getting 80 every year and having nothing to spend it on.

This game brings back a love for a game called Costume Quest, and yours has all the adorable nostalgia.

Beats of Nightmare by Insality 2015-08-26T01:03:00

Hello orange theme supporter, I do remember you! Glad to see that I corrupted...er I mean that you took up music influenced gaming haha...

Very cool game! I don't know if it was just me, but jump wasn't working for me....but it was still super cool! Wonderful music too!

GROWL by Ulydev 2015-08-26T04:27:00

As a fan of SH, this is a satisfying, my only complaint is it starts so zoomed in that the first obstacles hit me before I get a good view...but that maybe my fullscreen resolution of something. Well done.

TAG! You're it! by 01101101 2015-08-24T04:55:00

This is wonderful! I love to see takes on the theme that aren't cruel or bleak.

The energy feature is a great addition to a classic game!
Well done.

Tales of the Underworld: Rebellion of the Souls by ladybenko 2015-08-26T04:18:00

Short, sweet and to the point. Yet perfect in every way! Well done, super tight controls on your platformed and well done pixel art.

Snail Muncher by dustinaux 2015-08-24T20:04:00

Great concept, and well done assists, as others have expressed, the only thing lacking a little mechanics and control polishing and some more content. Well done.

Prowl by HThomson 2015-08-24T20:23:00

Very surreal feeling without any markers of indication of movement, when I'd change directions I felt like I was float through space ad time.

Overall I loved the concept, very calming and peaceful being a tentacled sheep eating wolf monster that may or may not have been inspired by el chupacabra.
Well done!

Manifest Destiny by superfreak 2015-08-26T04:37:00

I love how you incorporated your love of archeology into the game. Well done, little weird I can't lose, but it gave me POWER! haha Great job!

WEAKER BOWSER BROS by JHM 2015-08-26T04:42:00

This is one of the greatest parody takes on the Mario franchise I've ever seen. Well done wight he concept and incorporating the theme so well!

The Last Demon by 9.ar7k 2015-08-24T20:15:00

Man that is difficult beyond belief! But I guess with subject matter like that it would have to be.

Aliensche! by HiVE interactive 2015-09-02T03:49:00

Music is BEYOND amazing, sounds like Chipzel kinda quality there! The fact you made this with LSDJ in 48 hours is just even more amazing! Well done!

The Mammoth: A Cave Painting by inbetweengames 2015-08-29T07:06:00

One of the most mood inspired games I've ever had the grateful opportunity to pay in a Ludum Dare compo! Nothing I could say or suggest could add any impact or polish needed for this narrative and complete winner of an entry. Well done! Well done!

Curtain Call by rogual 2015-08-26T02:01:00

This is an impressive level of action adventure game with a great narrative and right level of exploration, freedom, and humor! You are going to go far in game dev with work like this!!! Great to see a wonderful example of an older genre.

Speed Planet Assault by snarf 2015-08-24T20:08:00

Going to play this when I have time to download it locally and run it. Like others have said though, you can export Win/Mac/Linux local versions from Untiy (even after the compo) Also for Compo entries you need to provide the Source code too (just a link to the Unity folder files using Dropbox or something)

If you wan to do web, you have to take those two web files Unity gives you and host them on a website of some sort as an html webpage

Speed Planet Assault by snarf 2015-08-26T00:36:00

Interesting concept... the player should be a bit bigger, I felt a little disoriented try to fly around in what I assumed was a sphere shape....but don't let that detour you! Keep up the dev work, you'll get it!

(Not sure if I missed how it matches the theme or not)
